Work Text:
Chi couldn’t help but feel excited when his one-year anniversary with Chino came. He was going to tell Chino that he had made plans for them – that was it. He didn’t want to spoil his surprise, after all.
Chi had spent the night over at Chino’s apartment, though they hadn’t had sex. Instead, they had gotten high, thrown on some Depeche Mode (Chino’s favorite), and talked about conspiracy theories. Chi knew that Chino didn’t really know jack shit about any of them, but he always was a good ear for Chi when he was in the mood to ramble.
Chi’s breathing hitched excitedly as he felt Chino stirring beside him. He hadn’t wanted to get up, not when Chino had been sleeping so soundly. Chino let out a soft grunt as his eyelids fluttered open to look at his boyfriend.
“Hey,” he said, voice groggy. Chi smiled at how tired he still was.
“Finally wake up?” he teased. Chino blinked at him expectantly.
“You could’ve gotten up, y’know.” he told him. Despite that, Chi could see that he appeared grateful that he was still in bed with him.
“And interrupt your beauty sleep? Didn’t wanna leave, not when you looked so cute,” Chi said, giving Chino a light poke on the nose. Chino rolled his eyes and rolled over onto his back.
“Beauty sleep’s over, now you can talk to me about more conspiracies,” Chino joked, smiling at his boyfriend. Chi gazed at him as he ran his fingers through his long hair.
“Actually,” Chi stopped, smirking at the thought of surprising Chino. “I wanted to talk about something else for once.” He saw Chino’s eyes light up with curiosity.
“Oh? I’m definitely interested,” Chino said, inching closer. “What would that be, Chi Cheng?”
Chino batted his eyelashes at him sleepily, and Chi somehow managed to fall even more in love with him. “Well, you know what day it is, don’t you?” Chi asked, excitedly waiting for a response. Chino took the time to ponder what he was talking about. Then, his eyes flashed with realization, and he was smiling again.
“Our one-year anniversary day, right? Interesting. What are you thinking over there about it?”
“I was gonna take you somewhere really special tonight,” said Chi. “Just the two of us and no one else. Literally, we’ll be all alone.” He was already so excited, and a part of him wanted to just tell Chino where they were going. Using his better judgement, he waited though. It would all be worth it when he saw Chino’s face. As he thought about it, he heard the phone start ringing.
“Who the fuck is that?” Chino asked, rubbing his eyes to wake himself up. Chi shrugged.
“No clue. You want me to get it?”
“Nah, I’ve got it,” Chino said, picking up the phone from the bedside table and clicking the answer button. “Hello, this is Camillo Moreno. Who’s calling- wait, what? Yeah, he’s here. I’ll give him the phone.” He snorted and held the phone out for Chi to take. “It’s your brother. He says Mae left something really important at your house.”
Chino’s tone was one of amusement. Chi grabbed the phone and put it up to his ear.
“Hey Ming, what’s up?” he asked, waiting for his brother to respond.
“Chi, hey. Uh, I was gonna tell you that Mae thinks she left some of her pot stash over at your house from last time. She tried calling your place but you didn’t pick up, so I figured I’d try your boyfriend’s since I had his number saved. Do you know if it’s there?” Ming asked. Chi thought about it for a second.
“I think I saw one of her bags on the coffee table. Did she wanna come over and get it?”
“Yeah, I’ll call her and tell her you have it. Thanks, Chi,” said Ming.
“No problem, let me get back there so I can unlock the door for her,” said Chi. “See you then.”
“See you.”
The phone clicked, and Chi put it back on the holder. Chino looked at him with a knowing expression.
“Mae left her pot back there, didn’t she?” he asked smugly. Chi nodded his head to signal that he was right.
“You know how us Chengs love our weed,” Chi noted, looking back at Chino and expecting a quip.
“Well as long as you share with me, you can love it all you want,” Chino said. Chi gave him a look of fake hurt.
“Are you saying I don’t share my weed with you? I literally shared it the first time we met, you have to admit that’s pretty generous. Would you have done the same for me?”
Chino laughed. “Hell no. But you also got to fuck me the first time we met, so I’d say I’m pretty generous as well.”
“Fair enough,” Chi decided. “You should get ready. I’m taking you out after Mae leaves.” Chi eyed Chino’s face for a reaction. He was pleased to find that he seemed just as eager about it.
“Where you taking me?” Chino asked curiously. He swished his tongue in his mouth as he waited for Chi to tell him.
“Out. You’ll see,” Chi said, giving a cool wink. He was almost able to not laugh at himself afterwards.
“Fuck, okay,” Chino said, laughing too. They got out of bed and assembled themselves together for the day ahead. Chino dug down under his dresser for his cigarettes, but to no avail. He found an empty carton, but that wouldn’t help him any.
“You need to stop and get some more cigarettes?” Chi asked as Chino threw the empty carton in the trash.
“Yeah, thanks,” Chino replied, tugging a comb through his hair. He handed it to Chi when he was done. “Here you go.”
“Thanks.” Chi took it and started to brush through his own hair. Flipping it behind his back, he set the comb down on the dresser.
“I’m gonna go brush my teeth, you coming with me?” Chino asked, motioning towards the bedroom door.
“Yeah. Did you ‘accidentally’ drop my spare toothbrush on the floor again?” Chi asked giving finger quotes. Chino grinned at him, giving Chi his answer.
“Guess we’ll have to share again,” he said coyly.
Chi truthfully didn’t mind sharing a toothbrush with Chino. They swapped too much spit in their free time to warrant any real disgust from such an act. Plus, Chi liked to watch Chino gargle mouthwash because he looked cute with his cheeks puffed out, and he’d always kiss him with fresh breath after spitting it out.
They had headed out the door and got in the car. Chi looked at Chino, his face a little flushed from the already rising temperature.
“Man, summers here are no fucking joke. I swear its hotter than last year,” he said as he started the car.
“Just a better opportunity for tanning, I guess,” said Chino, flicking his tongue out slyly. “Oh, right. You can’t tan, I forgot.” Chino stuck his tongue out teasingly. Chi stuck his own out in rebuttal. It was true that Chi always got horrible sunburn, which could only be described as horribly ironic given that his skin tone was naturally about as dark as Chino’s was.
“I’m making you walk to the gas station for those cigarettes now,” Chi joked as he pulled out of the driveway. Chino rested back in his seat, staring lovingly at him. “What, don’t believe me?” Chi quirked his lip as he saw Chino shake his head in the corner of his eye.
“Nope. You love me too much for that,” said Chino in response, grinning wildly. Chi supposed he had a point.
“Fine, you’re right. But don’t push your luck, Moreno,” Chi warned, his words holding no real venom in them. Chino smiled lazily, looking down at his lap and then back to Chi. Chi stole glances at him from the front view mirror as he drove, fighting the urge to smile too. He started thinking about his plans for after Mae left, and found himself jittering slightly with excitement as they pulled into the gas station.
“Christ, Chi, you’re all jumpy,” Chino commented, placing a hand on Chi’s shoulder to calm him. “I’ll be right back.”
Chino opened the car door and stepped out. Chi looked on for a second before getting an idea. “Hold on,” he said, turning the car off and getting out. Chino stopped and looked at him as he shut the door.
“Something you want?” Chino asked. Chi thought about it for a second.
“Just gonna get an energy drink,” he responded. He truthfully didn’t really want anything, but wanted to go in with Chino anyways just to spend the extra time with him. Besides, he did want to have energy for his plans with Chino later that day.
“Okay,” Chino said. They walked in, and Chi made a beeline for the refrigerated section in the back. Fine, maybe he did really want a can of Monster (he hadn’t had one in a while). He decided to grab Chino one too, knowing that Chino would inevitably ask to share some of his if he didn’t.
Jonah and Shaun were the two cashiers that usually were in the gas station, and Chino happened to be friends with them both. Chino was usually the more social one in their relationship, Chi had figured. He contrasted to Chino, much in the sense that he’d rather get high and read the same book for the 1000th time than worry much about making friends. Nonetheless, most people took to Chi well, and Jonah and Shaun were no exception.
“Chino, hey,” said Jonah, walking over behind the cash register. “Hey, Chi. You guys been doing okay?”
“It’s our one-year anniversary,” said Chino, smiling as Chi set their drinks on the counter. “Get me a pack of the Marlboro Light 100s and uh, a pack of Virginia Slims over there too, please. Chi likes the fancy cigarettes.” He looked over at Chi and gave a saucy grin. Chi blushed, pressing his lips together and looking down at the counter.
“Yeah,” he admitted, smiling a little bit too. Chino was right, Chi did have a tendency to prefer the thin cigarettes. He rarely smoked unless he could get ahold of them.
“You guys have only been together for a year? Come over here, Shaun, these two losers are celebrating their anniversary. Don’t know why they’re doing it here, though,” Jonah said as he rang their items up.
As Shaun walked over from the back of the store, Chi grinned as he thought about his plans with Chino. “One year of putting up with him, but he’s been starting to grow on me,” he joked. Chino looked at him, pretending to be cross.
“Be careful with your words, Cheng. I might stop letting you info dump about lizard people,” Chino warned, his tone light-hearted. Chi gasped in fake shock.
“You wouldn’t! You love me and my info dumping,” he replied. Chino rolled his eyes as he swiped his credit card on the scanner.
“I just think it’s hot when you’re so passionate,” Chino said, smirking a little.
“I bet you do. I can tell by the way you pretend to actually have any idea what I’m talking about. Bet you’re probably sitting there wishing I’d use my mouth for other things, though.”
Jonah laughed, while Shaun looked at them in what could only be described as disgusted amusement. “You both have no shame, do you?” he asked, his words light hearted but still true.
“We can’t get enough of each other, you know how it is. I love him, even if he never shuts up,” Chino said, looking at Chi and grinning as he patted him on the back. Chi gave a small smile at the words.
“Love you too,” he mumbled, taking their things that Jonah had bagged up. “Now let’s get back to my house before Mae melts down over not having her pot.”
As they were walking out, Chino lit Chi up one of his ‘fancy’ cigarettes.
“Mind if we share it? I usually don’t smoke these, but since I bought ‘em for you...”
“Yeah,” Chi said, smiling and fighting the urge to roll his eyes. “Its fine.”
They got in the car, Chino taking a puff off the cigarette and holding it in between his fingers, waiting for Chi to start the car. He stared on as Chi began to pull out of their parking spot, and Chi took the cigarette from his hand.
“So,” Chino said, continuing to look out the windshield. “Are you thinking about telling me what exactly you’re planning now? You seem like you really wanna talk about it, and I did buy you your fancy rich people cigarettes...”
“They’re not ‘rich people cigarettes’, I just think they’re neat.” Chi’s eye roll was nearly audible as he grinned and took a puff. “I’m not telling you shit though, you’re just gonna have to wait.”
“Fine, keep your secrets,” said Chino as Chi handed him back the cigarette. They finished it on the way to Chi’s house, just in time for Chino to stub it out in a spare bottle of water as they pulled into his driveway. He tightened the cap back on and shook it for good measure.
“You know where Mae’s pot is?” asked Chino as they walked up onto the porch. Chi inserted the key into the door and turned it.
“Yeah, think she just left it on the coffee table. Should’ve stolen some while I had the chance,” he joked, walking into the house. Chino followed him, opening up his can of Monster and taking a swig.
“You always get the pink ones,” he said, swishing the juice around in his mouth before swallowing. “And you know, we could still steal a little. She’s not here yet.” Chino gave a small, mischievous smile as he eyed the coffee table. Chi shook his head.
“She’ll know we did it, so not happening. And what’s the matter, are you too manly for a little pink?” he asked, setting his keys down on the table and sitting down on the couch. Chino stepped closer to him, putting his free hand up.
“No need to get defensive, Mr. Cheng, just merely pointing out your fruity tastes,” he said, standing in front of Chi and taking an exaggerated sip of his can. He sat himself in Chi’s lap, nestling a bit to get comfortable.
“You know I’m a fruity man, Camillo,” said Chi, reaching a hand up and rubbing his thumb across Chino’s chin, feeling the facial hair that had built up over the months. “Besides, you don’t have any room to talk. Have you taken a look in the mirror lately?”
Chino scoffed in mock offense. “Are you saying my beard makes me look gay?” Chi quirked his lip, anticipating the younger man’s reaction to his response.
“Gay-er,” he said, laughing as Chino gave him a light smack upside the head. He could tell Chino wasn’t really angry with him, as he felt his lips pecking his nose a moment later. Chino smiled at him, kissing him on the mouth and sighing a breath out as Chi wrapped a quick hand in his hair. Just then, they heard a knock on the door.
“It’s unlocked!” Chi yelled from the couch. He could see Mae in the glass and watched as she walked in.
“Hey Chino,” Mae said, giving a wave as she shut the door behind her. “Did Chi smoke my weed?” she asked, shooting Chi a suspicious look.
“What are you looking at me for? He was the one who suggested we smoke it before you got here,” Chi said, looking up at Chino’s betrayed face. Chino turned around and shot Mae a sheepish smile. He slid off Chi’s lap and onto the couch.
“Looks like Chi’s influence has been getting to you,” Mae said as she picked up her bag and slid it into her purse. “I’m gonna get back to my place and rip this shit. Have a nice anniversary.”
“Wait-” Chino looked at Chi. “She knows it’s our anniversary?”
“Are you kidding me? It’s practically all he’s been talking about to me and Ming for the past two weeks.” Mae shot a look at her brother before looking back at Chino. “He loves you a lot. That’s actually all he ever talks to us about anymore.”
Chi felt his face heat up a little, and butterflies in his chest when Chino smiled at him. Tracing his shoulder with his fingertips, he asked, “You’ve really been telling everyone how much you love me?”
“Everyone I know,” Chi responded. Giving a short laugh, he said, “Besides you, that’s like two people. But yeah.”
“Well, see you guys later. Let me get you a cone out of my purse, I have a spare in here somewhere.” Mae dug back in her purse for the cone, pulling a tray out and removing one. “Here,” she said, giving it to Chi. “Consider it an anniversary present. Couples who get lit together stay together,” she added, giving a purposefully awkward wink. The gesture made Chino laugh, and Chi rolled his eyes.
“Thanks, Mae. Get home safe,” said Chi, throwing her a peace sign as she left. She threw one back.
Chino, meanwhile, set his drink down and dug his lighter out of his pocket. He took the cone Mae handed him out of his fingers and lit it. Then, he took a drag, blowing smoke into the air and resting his head on Chi’s shoulder.
“Mm, if I give you this will you tell me where you’re taking me?” Chino asked, smiling and sounding hopeful. Chi snatched it from his fingers, taking a puff and blowing the smoke into his face.
“Don’t play dirty with me, Moreno,” he replied, raising his eyebrow in humor. Chino coughed and waved the smoke out of his face, stealing the joint back from him.
“Just for that I’m keeping it from you,” he said, teasingly putting the joint to his lips and wrapping them around it. He gave Chi a knowing look, but as soon as smoke left his lips Chi was grabbing the joint from his fingers again and kissing him. Brushing his hair back out of his face, he felt Chino smile into his mouth.
“Nice manipulation skills,” said Chi. “But no. You’re just gonna have to wait until we get there. But I know you’re gonna like it...” He drew the words out, grinning as Chino reached a foot over and petted one of his. They finished smoking the joint, Chi allowing Chino to take more hits. He wanted to be sober enough to drive.
“Come on, can we get in the car now?” Chino asked as Chi extinguished the joint in the ashtray on the coffee table. Chi nodded his head, grabbing his keys.
“Yeah, let’s go,” he said. They got up and grabbed both of their drinks, Chi opening his up and taking a long swig before walking out the door. Chino followed closely behind him, shaking his half empty can and closing the door behind them. Chi headed straight to the car, wanting to surprise Chino with something inside.
Getting into the car, Chi turned on the ignition and clicked the CD player button. As Chino was getting in, he flipped the player to the 3rd disk in the slot. The screeching start of Depeche Mode’s ‘I Feel You’ started, making Chino’s eyes widen.
“I know we weren’t getting each other anything, but since you paid for my cigarettes you don’t get to complain.” Chi grinned at him, and Chino in turn grinned back.
“God, I love you. I’ve been wanting this album on CD since it came out.” Chino gave him a wet kiss on the cheek, making Chi blush a little. The strumming of raunchy guitar started, and Dave Gahan’s voice played through the car speakers as they backed out of Chi’s driveway. Chino laid his head back on the seat, lazily tapping his fingertips on the side of the door to the beat. Chi was tempted to look over and watch him as he hit the road, but refrained. He’d prefer not to crash his car.
“Y’know, I think I’m starting to get the appeal of Depeche Mode. Dave’s got a naturally sexy voice. Kinda like you,” Chi remarked, smirking a little as he saw Chino’s eyes widen in the rear-view mirror. He stole a look at him as they met his for a moment.
“You think my voice is sexy?” Chino asked, suddenly breaking out into a wicked grin. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Chi could tell the gears in Chino’s head were working as he drove. He smiled to himself, thinking about how he would react when they got to where they were going.
“Say, Chi,” Chino said, his eyes scanning the area around them. “Aren’t we close to over by where my apartment is?”
“We are,” Chi responded, clicking his tongue softly in his mouth. He saw a bit of confusion skirt its way across Chino’s face.
“Still not telling me anything? You are stubborn,” Chino said, finishing his energy drink and crushing the can slightly in his hand.
“Well, I’ll tell you that we actually do have to stop by your apartment for something. I left my bag there from last night,” said Chi. “We might want it for where we’re going.”
The gears in Chino’s head were grinding furiously together at that point, and it amused Chi to no end. He really hoped Chino would like what he had planned for them.
As Chi parked in front of Chino’s apartment building, Chino’s head whipped around to look at him. He dug his keys out of his pocket and held them out for Chi to take.
“I wanna listen to Mercy in You. Door key is the one with red nail polish on it.”
Chi found himself grinning. Of course Chino marked his keys with nail polish. He had never thought to look at them closely before, but noticing the streak of color on the key made him feel fondness in his chest for the younger man.
“Cute,” said Chi, slightly poking his tongue out. He looked at Chino’s fingertips, taking the keys from him, and suddenly was hit with another idea. “Do you still have the bottle?”
Chino raised his eyebrow at him. “Yeah... think it’s still in my dresser. Did you wanna use it?”
“Hmmm.” Chi said, grinning and purposefully not answering Chino’s question. “Thanks, I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
“What-” Chino’s voice faltered as Chi quickly got out of the car. He stared at him in bewilderment as Chi shot him a playful look through the window.
Chi walked up to Chino’s door, putting the key in and turning it. He knew Chino would probably think that what he wanted to do was silly, but if he knew Chino as well as he thought he did, he also knew that he’d probably find it romantic. And despite how hard he tried to deny it at times, Chino had always been a sucker for a little good old-fashioned romance.
Chi got into Chino’s room, picking his satchel up by the foot of the bed where he had left it from earlier. He set it on the mattress and walked up to Chino’s dresser. Pulling the top drawer back, Chi’s eyes widened as he saw what lay inside it.
Sex toys. A lot of them. Chi found himself biting his lip as he tried to direct his vision away from one that was particularly catching his eye. He saw the bottle of polish sitting in the corner of the drawer, and grabbed it out. But before he left, his other hand was on the handle of a sleek, battery-operated vibrator. As he turned around and walked back over towards the bed, he shook his head and grinned a little. Chino really made his job too easy sometimes.
Stuffing the items into the satchel, the last thing Chi grabbed was the bottle of lubricant off the nightstand. If he was doing this, he supposed he better go all out. And besides, the thought of lubing his hand up and rubbing it between Chino’s bare thighs was a pleasant one. Chi threw the satchel over his head, making his way back out the apartment and outside to his car.
When Chi opened the car door, he was met with the sound of ‘Judas’ coming through the speakers. He smiled to himself a little as he got in. He had always particularly liked this song.
“Let me just reach in the back and toss this over,” said Chi, reaching back and dropping the satchel in the seat. Chino was shaking his head, his lips also curved up into a small smile. For once that day, Chi found himself inquiring to know more.
“What?”
“I love you, you dork.”
“Takes one to know one,” said Chi, pulling the parking lever into drive. As his hands touched the steering wheel again, he added, “Love you too.”
Chi was trying his best to keep a beam on his face from breaking out. He could see Chino starting to get antsy in the passenger seat, and it only made him feel even more excited. Finally, just when Chino was about to lose his patience and ask Chi what the fuck he was doing, Chi had pulled into a parking space.
“We’re at the park,” Chino said, looking at Chi as if he expected him to start talking. Chi was close to telling him what his plans were, but he wasn’t quite there yet. He still wanted to mess with Chino a little more.
“Good observation skills,” responded Chi. He reached back to grab his satchel, his eyes playfully scanning Chino to see if he was any closer to figuring out where he was taking them. “Wanna get out?”
“Suave.” Chino pursed his lips, smiling a little at Chi’s smooth avoidance of giving him more information. “Are you gonna tell me anything?” he asked, his voice gaining a bit of whiny edge.
“Hmmm.” Chi slung his satchel over his shoulder. Looking at Chino and giving a playful grin, he said, “Guess you’ll have to get out and see.”
Chino softly groaned as they got out of the car. As Chi closed his door, he couldn’t help but stare at him. Even when him and Chino were doing ordinary things, Chi could still never keep his eyes off his boyfriend. Of course, Chino never seemed to mind, and if Chi was being honest, he had always gathered that he liked it.
“So...” Chino stuck his arms out for a second before putting them back to his sides. “I’m out. You got anything I should know?”
“Actually, I do. Remember when I first met you in the woods?” Chi asked as they walked towards the grass. Chino nodded.
“Might ring a bell,” Chino said, flipping his hair back behind his ear and giving a small smile. “What about it?”
“Well, I know you said that you usually got there from your apartment. And I also know that you said you thought you were the only one who went there before you saw me. And y’know, that made me think of something.”
“Chi,” Chino whined. “C’mon, tell me.”
“Okay,” Chi said, a smirk playing across his lips. “So, I had been thinking for a long time about it, but something I realized was that you never actually knew how I got back into the woods that day. Figured you might like it if I showed you.”
The gears in Chino’s head had seemed to finally click, though Chi wasn’t quite done with surprising him yet. “Come with me?”
Then, Chino was smiling at him. A genuine smile, with his little teeth poking out from under his lip. “Yeah,” he said, his tongue darting out slightly. He flicked it back in his mouth, and Chi grabbed his hand and began to walk. Chino stumbled behind him for a second, but quickly caught up to him.
“God, you were stoned that night. We aren’t even on the path,” Chino said as Chi led him closer to the bushes. Chi squeezed his hand in anticipation, trying to picture what his reaction would be when he saw what he had done for them.
“Well, a man’s gotta have a sense of adventure, y’know,” Chi responded as they walked further into the woods. He tried his best to remember how he had gotten to the lake from where he was before, not wanting to ruin his surprise for Chino by getting them lost in the woods.
“Hmm, think I made a right. Here, let me get my pipe out. That way you won’t get pissed if I take you the wrong way,” joked Chi. Well, half joked. Chino was a little bitchy sometimes, but Chi still loved him all the same. Also, there was only about a 50 percent chance Chi actually knew where he was going.
“Do you think we have enough in there to last us?” asked Chino. Chi nodded as he dug in his bag, pulling out his pipe and a small, presumably smell proof bag of pot.
“Did you know you can set these by dogs and they won’t even notice ‘em? Pretty neat, in my opinion,” he said, putting the bag back and pulling out a lighter. “Here, let’s stop.”
They were by a semi-empty clearing, the outer space lush with leaves from the tall trees. The foliage covered the sky somewhat, dimming the sun’s rays from shining down too harshly. If Chino had to guess, they had gone a fair distance from the park already.
“How much did you walk, Chi? Jesus Christ,” said Chino, watching as Chi lit the pipe. He pulled out his own lighter and one of his cigarettes.
“A bit,” Chi admitted. “Wait, why are you pulling out a cigarette? Pipe’s lit.” He took a puff as if to emphasize his point. Chino put his cigarette in between his lips and smiled for a second before lighting and taking a drag.
“It’s called multitasking,” he replied, blowing smoke out and grabbing the pipe from Chi’s hand. Their fingers brushed together, making Chi smile a little in equal fondness and amusement.
“By the way, in case you had any further questions, I think I remember going through this clearing before seeing the lake. Just in case you were concerned.”
“I’ve got a cigarette and a weed pipe, Chi. Consider my worries eased,” Chino assured, passing the pipe back to Chi after taking another hit. “Here you go.”
“Thanks,” said Chi, taking it and putting to his lips. He took another puff, and they continued to pass it and walk until finding themselves in a more familiar landscape.
“Cattails. You were right,” Chino mused, sounding as if he was fairly surprised. Chi rolled his eyes at him in good humor.
“Told you so,” he responded, lightly sticking his tongue out.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll make it up to you.”
Chi shook his head and grinned. They kept walking, until finally they were standing in front of the tree him and Chino had sat under when they had first met.
“Chi, I...”
A blanket lay on the ground, and there was a bottle of wine. Scattered around the blanket on the dirt were various rose petals, of red, pink, and white hue.
“Do you like it?” Chi asked, looking over at Chino. When Chino looked back at him, Chi saw a saccharine smile on his face. He nodded his head and squeezed his hand, throwing his cigarette out on the ground and stomping it.
“Oh, shit,” he muttered. “You didn’t happen to bring an ashtray here, did you?”
“I have an empty tin of mints in here still, I think. Just put it in...” Chi reached into his satchel and pulled out a spare tin. “Here.” Chino picked his cigarette up off the ground after it was good and stomped and put it in.
“Thanks,” he said as Chi put it back. He looked over at the ground by where the tree was. “Wanna sit down?”
“Yeah,” said Chi, watching as Chino took initiative and walked over to the tree. He followed him, and they sat down on the blanket together.
“You know, one year ago you were passing this pipe to me for the first time,” Chino mused as he took a hit off of said pipe. “And now...” He looked at Chi and grinned. “It’s like we’ve been doing this all our lives. You and me together.”
Chi took the pipe from his hand and examined it, nodding his head as he put it to his lips. “I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my life than hanging out with you. I love you, Camillo Moreno. Love you a lot.”
“Mmmm,” Chino nestled up to Chi, nuzzling their noses together. Another smile had broken out on his face as he said, “I love you too, Chi Cheng. Love you to the fucking moon and back.”
Chino rested his head on Chi’s shoulder, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. Chi grinned as he stared out at the landscape, partially from his high and partially because he just felt happy. He had meant everything he said. There was truly no better time for him than time spent with his boyfriend.
As Chi felt Chino’s fingers intertwine with his own, he looked down at their connected hands. Blushing a little, he remembered he had brought the old bottle of red nail polish from Chino’s room.
“Say, Chino, remember when I asked you about that nail polish you painted your keys with?”
“Yeah. What about it?”
Chino was staring at him expectantly, waiting for Chi to answer. Chi couldn’t help but smirk a little, his high making him feel like nicking the bottle from his dresser was genius at its finest.
“Wanna paint each other’s nails?”
Chino laughed, then darted his eyes around. He almost seemed a little nervous.
“You think I could still rock red nail polish? I haven’t painted my nails since I started on T...” He looked out, his eyes glossing over like he was in deep thought. “I have to admit I’ve thought about what it would be like. I really like that color.”
“Guess you won’t know until you try it,” Chi responded, passing his pipe to Chino. “If you wanna try it, I mean. You don’t have to.”
“No,” Chino said, taking the pipe from him and putting it in his mouth. He took a puff and squeezed Chi’s hand. “I want to. You uh- you think it’ll look good on me still?”
As Chino passed Chi the pipe back, Chi gave him a reassuring smile. “I think it’ll look kickass.” He set the pipe down on the blanket and pulled out the bottle. “Well, it will if I don’t fuck it up horribly.”
Chino laughed at the reflection. “I’m sure you’ll do great. If you don’t, I’ll fuck yours up in retaliation,” he said, making Chi gasp in faux-shock.
“You’re so mean to me,” he commented, making Chino snort.
“You like that though, don’t you?”
Chi thought about it for a second as he twisted the cap open on the bottle of polish. “Maybe a little,” he admitted, giving a shy smile. He reached for Chino’s hand, his own shaking a little nervously. “Heh, good thing I didn’t drink any wine yet,” he joked as his fingers steadied Chino’s.
“We should open the bottle up after we finish painting each other’s nails. Might have to wait for them to dry though,” said Chino. Chi nodded, and swiped the polish brush down on the tip of Chino’s index finger.
“We’re pretty stoned,” Chi remarked as he painted the nail bright red. “Ooh, the shimmer is pretty.”
Chino laughed again. “What were you saying?” he asked, smiling at him. Chi thought about it for a second, having already forgot.
“Uhh... oh, I was saying that I think we can wait. Yeah.”
Chino was cackling at that point, and Chi had to grip his hand to keep it steady as he painted the middle nail. He wasn’t sure what exactly Chino was laughing at, but he figured it must have been really funny.
Chi had moved to Chino’s ring finger, his pinky, and finally his thumb. As he painted the last nail on Chino’s left hand, he saw him picking up the wine bottle with his other hand and reading the label.
“Mmm, plum. This actually looks pretty good, where’d you get it?”
“Liquor store by the French restaurant. Which by the way, I’m taking you to tonight,” responded Chi, placing Chino’s finished hand down on his lap. He picked up his other one, watching as Chino’s eyes gained a curious gleam.
“What do French people eat?” he asked. Chi shrugged as he painted Chino’s index nail, glossing the brush more confidently.
“Hell if I know,” he admitted, somewhat sheepishly. He grinned as he added, “But I thought it would be romantic.”
Chino shook his head. “Dork. I love you.”
“Love you too,” Chi said, not bothering to argue that time around. Maybe he was a bit of a dork, but he knew Chino adored that about him. He rolled Chino’s hand over to paint his thumb nail, admiring his work on his hands. “Guess I did pretty good, wouldn’t you agree?” he asked, watching as Chino picked his hand up to look at it. Then-
“Shit!”
Chi had accidentally swiped the brush down too far, covering the pad of Chino’s thumb in paint. He bit his lip and looked at Chino apologetically. “Sorry,” he said sheepishly. Chino didn’t seem bothered at all by the mishap.
“I still think you did a good job,” he said sweetly as Chi finished the nail. He put his hand down, allowing Chino to look at them both for a second before holding the nail polish out for him to take. “I haven’t done this in a while. No guarantees yours’ll turn out any better.”
Chi looked at him and smiled. “I think I’m willing to take that risk.”
Chino took the nail polish from Chi and pressed his fingers into his hand, adjusting it so he could paint his nails. He got to work, and by the time he finished it he had barely touched the skin of Chi’s nailbeds with the brush. However, it was apparent that Chino was also stoned out of his mind when he started screwing the cap back onto the nail polish, ignoring Chi’s left hand with no polish on it.
“Uh, Chino?”
“Yeah?”
Chi held his hand up to show Chino his fault. He tried not to laugh as Chino’s mouth dropped open like he was in shock. It was not the reaction he’d been expecting.
“Where did your polish go? It’s gone,” Chino said, taking Chi’s hand in his own and examining it. He picked up the other one and said, “See, this one still has polish on it! What did you do?”
Suddenly, Chi was nearly rolling over from laughter, slight tears forming in the corners of his eyes. He clutched his side, trying to regain the ability to breathe.
“Chino, you didn’t paint this hand yet,” he said in between choked breaths, not quite able to get the sentence out without laughing some more. He flexed his barren hand, finally pulling himself together. Chino opened the cap back off the polish bottle, gripping Chi’s hand and starting to paint his nails.
“Sorry,” he said, glossing his eyes back up at Chi apologetically. While locking gazes, he swiped the brush too far up, accidentally covering Chi’s middle finger in shiny polish. “Oops.”
Chi looked down at the mistake, not bothered by it in the least. “Guess you got your payback,” he said, smiling at Chino. Chino looked confused before remembering what he was referring to.
“Uh, yeah. I did that on purpose, actually. Take that, Cheng.” Chino gave Chi a witty smile back, making him snort.
“Uh-huh, yeah. Sure you did.” Chi settled his eyes back into focus, watching as Chino poked his tongue out and moved to painting the nail on his ring finger. He finished it and his pinkie, and rolled his hand over to do his thumb nail.
“But you gotta admit, other than that one little mistake...” Chino bit his lip. Then, pushing it out in subtle suggestiveness (that was far from subtle to Chi), he finished the sentence with, “I think I did a pretty good job. Mmm, there we go, all done. Time for a drink.”
Chino’s voice had lowered in pitch, and Chi could hear the dryness in his throat. He felt it too, but as he saw Chino grip the bottle of wine, all he could think about was his fist wrapping around something else. Chino seemed to notice just how attentive Chi was to his opening of the bottle, his gaze skirting down to his lap as he twisted the cap off. He set it on the blanket and lifted the bottle to his lips, making sure to stroke the neck nice and slow. Chi knew Chino was well aware that he was working him up, but if he was being honest, he didn’t mind. If Chino was good at one thing, it was surely his ability to fire up Chi’s senses without even touching him.
Chi watched as Chino opened his mouth, wrapping his lips around the end of the bottle. As he did it, Chino didn’t take his eyes off him the whole time. He tilted his head back, and Chi could see his tongue skirting on the bottle. And really, he was only asking for Chi to do what he did next.
“Fuck, give me that,” said Chi, taking the bottle out of Chino’s mouth and taking a quick swig before setting it down on the blanket. His arm moved too close to it, and suddenly the bottle was tipping and spilling onto the fabric. “Oh, shit.”
“It’s okay.” Chino’s voice was silky as his eyes turned towards the dock. “Hmmm, dock’s right there. We don’t even have to get dirty. Well... never mind that last part.”
“Yeah?” Chi grinned wildly at the statement as he picked the bottle back up and put the cap back on. “Let me show you what else I nicked from your room. Why don’t you go over to the dock and take your shoes off. Settle in a little.” Then, he gave a laugh. “Cause I’m far from done with you, Moreno.”
“Mm, okay then. Whatever you say, Cheng.” The tips of Chino’s tiny teeth poked out from under his lip as he gave a small grin back. God, he wanted him.
Chi watched as Chino got up, making sure to pay special attention to his ass as he walked over to where the dock was. Once his feet hit the wood and his attention was focused on taking his shoes off, Chi reached into his satchel. As Chino pulled his socks off, he looked at Chi, who shot him a look back.
“Mm, you were right. It is a hot day out,” Chino said, rubbing his bare foot against the wood of the dock. “Think I’m gonna take my clothes off.”
“You do that,” Chi responded, waiting for Chino to look away before pulling the items out. As Chino was getting undressed, Chi tugged his own shirt over his head, throwing it down onto the blanket. He stood up and bent over to grab what he had brought, carefully sneaking over to the dock. Once Chino had sat down to dip his toes in the water, Chi knew he had the opportunity to surprise him. He set the lube down and kept the vibrator in his hand, his finger on the power switch. Walking over to where Chino was at the end of the dock, he knelt down behind him and put his hand over his eyes. As Chino squeaked in surprise, he placed the vibrator on his right nipple and turned it on, making Chino let out an abrupt gasp.
“Surprise,” Chi said, snickering as he felt Chino’s face heat up.
“Fuck, I hate you,” moaned Chino, half from pleasure and half from exasperation. Curse Chi for remembering how sensitive his nipples were, and curse him for nicking Chino's favorite vibrator from the top drawer of his dresser in the first damn place. Of course, Chino wasn't really complaining at all, and he knew Chi could tell that much even in their shared state of high.
Chi rubbed the vibrator on the bud, massaging it and reaching around his chest to toy with his other one. He could feel it hardening up in between his fingers, and pinched it as he felt blood flow down to his groin. He took the vibrator off Chino’s nipple, listening to him exhale, and snaked his hand down lower and lower. He heard him suck in another breath as his hand slid over his pubic bone, his thumb gently touching the hood of his clit.
“I’ve been wanting to touch you all day, you know that?” Chi started to stroke his thumb back and forth, setting the vibrator down behind him. He didn’t need it right now. Chino’s head fell back as he let out a gasp.
“Chi, I wanna blow you. Please?” Chino pleaded, his mouth open slightly as he stared up at Chi. Chi looked down at him and grabbed him by the hair, dipping his head down to kiss him. Chino let him, submitting to his grasp before Chi pulled himself away and let go.
“Yeah, fuck, sure,” Chi tried to string an answer together, but he was having a hard time focusing with the thought of Chino’s mouth on his cock. He thankfully didn’t have to really say anything, as Chino was turning his legs around and scooting over on the dock. As Chi turned around, he saw Chino get up on his knees and hold his hand out to signal him to scoot forward as well.
Once Chi had moved himself closer to Chino once more, he laid down and tugged on the waistband of his shorts. But before he could, Chino’s hands were meeting his own, and he was pulling them down for him. He left Chi in his boxers, smiling as he looked down at his cock, which was now fully hard through the fabric and slightly leaking. Then, he was looking up at Chi, a devious smile gracing his face.
“Before I suck your dick... I think I wanna give you a little show. Since you put all this together for me today. What do you think?” he asked, crawling forward and grabbing the vibrator off the dock. He leaned back, holding it in his hand for a second before turning it on. “Plus, I did say I’d make things up to you for being right earlier. Would you like that?”
“Christ, Chino,” Chi breathed, watching in awe as his boyfriend trailed the vibrator down his body. He continued to move it down farther, farther, until it was resting right above his clit. Taking the vibrator off and crawling so he was saddling Chi’s thighs, Chino returned the toy to where it was before, his breath picking up as he touched it right to his clit, moaning at the sudden pulsations running through his body. Chi was half tempted to reach his hands out and touch him, but he stopped himself. If Chino wanted to give him a show, he’d let him.
“You gonna play with yourself for me?” Chi asked, his eyes slowly glossing up Chino’s frame. They landed on his face as Chino gave him a smile.
“Mhm,” Chino’s mouth fell open, his eyes closed as he rubbed the vibrator on his clit, and as he brushed his long hair back Chi swore he fell in love all over again with him. “Yeah,” he said, eyes fluttering back open. He was smiling at Chi again, and all Chi could think about was just how amazing he was. He couldn’t help but reach his hand out and finally touch Chino’s hip as the younger man let out a moan. He felt the skin, smoothing it over as he touched closer and closer to in between his legs. However, Chino was soon prodding his hand with the vibrator, making him laugh a little but also making him really fucking horny.
“Ah-ah.” Chino moved the vibrator down to Chi’s wrist, holding it there for a second and reaching down with his other hand to rub his clit. “Not yet,” he said, removing the buzz from Chi’s wrist and returning it back to its prior place. He let out a long, low moan as he rubbed it on himself, and as Chi felt his wetness leaking onto his thighs, he tossed his head back. It maybe wasn’t the smartest decision, as he hit it on the wood of the dock.
“Dammit.” Chi looked back up at Chino as he rubbed his head, and as their eyes met, he saw Chino give a warm smile. He was laughing, but it was good. It was so good.
“You did that last time we were here, remember?” Chino teased, putting his hand over his mouth to stifle any further giggles. He moaned into it, and soon released it. “Mm, don’t wanna keep myself quiet. You like it when I’m loud, don’t you Chi? Uh, yeah, that’s it—” Chino eyes rolled back in his head as he lazily rubbed the vibrator over himself, and that was when it occured to Chi that his plans may have been more calculated than previously thought.
Chi watched as Chino slowly took the vibrator off his clit, and shuddered as he realized he was moving it up to his cock. Chino rubbed it over the bulge in his boxers, smiling like the devil itself as Chi moaned from the contact. But then, he was turning the vibrator off, making Chi whine as he set it down.
“Don’t worry,” said Chino, still grinning as he dipped his hands into Chi’s waistband. “Not gonna leave you high and dry. Couldn’t do that to you after all you did for me today.” Chino closed his mouth, hiding his teeth, but his lips were still curved into a smile as he pulled Chi’s boxers down and settled himself between his legs. “And besides, I really want to.”
“Fuck, Chino,” Chi twitched as he felt Chino’s breathing on the head of his cock. “Want you to too. Please.”
That was when Chino flicked his tongue out, licking Chi’s tip attentively. He curled it into his slit, making Chi groan.
“Chino-” Chi was cut off as Chino wrapped his lips around his cock and sunk his mouth down, encasing him deeper and deeper into his throat. He could feel Chino’s spit coating his length, and moaned as his nose hit the base. Chino kept himself there for a moment, trying not to gag, but ultimately failed. Chi didn’t mind it though; in his opinion, it just made what Chino was doing even hotter.
“God, Chino, I love you,” Chi moaned as Chino lifted his head. He kept his cock in his mouth, almost coming off the whole way before pushing his head back down. He started to build up a rhythm, bobbing up and down and making sure to lap at the underside of Chi’s cock while he did it. Chi was in bliss; if there was another thing that Chino was undoubtedly good at, it was sucking cock.
Chino didn’t say anything as he continued to blow Chi – but he really didn’t need to. Chi knew he loved him back, and the way he so adoringly looked up at him as he sucked him off proved it. Chi’s head fell back lightly (he was careful not to hit it on the dock a second time) as he felt Chino licking his frenulum. He could feel himself getting a little too close to climax, and gripped Chino’s hair to pull him off.
“Good for you?” Chino asked, licking his lips. Chi nodded, somewhat absentmindedly.
“Real good,” he said, smiling a bit. He knew what he wanted Chino to do next. “Climb up.”
“Huh?” Chino asked, his face breaking out into a deep red blush when he realized what Chi was asking him to do. His eyes suddenly widened as Chi reached out and grabbed at him, pulling him closer. Chino took his cue, still blushing as he climbed up onto Chi’s chest and nestled down. “Here?”
“No,” Chi said, gripping his hips and pulling him up closer to where he wanted him. Chino’s breathing was heavy as he stared down at Chi, whose expression could only be described as occupied. “Here.”
“Oh.” Chino breathed, swiping his thumb down across Chi’s cheek. Not allowing him to say anything else, Chi dug his nails into his hips and flicked his tongue out over his clit. He felt Chino’s thighs squeezing his face as he closed his eyes and pursed his lips, sucking on Chino and making him whine.
Chi couldn’t help but giggle a bit deviously as his tongue swiped between Chino’s thighs, and as he focused it back in between his labia he heard him let out a gasp. Then, Chino’s hand was in his hair, and he was moaning as he ground himself down on Chi’s face.
There was nothing Chi thought he loved more than tasting Chino’s wetness on his tongue. He felt Chino’s hips stutter, and almost let him think he was going to be able to pull them away before dragging him back up and licking a stripe up his folds, pressing his tongue into them and lapping at his clit. He opened his eyes up just in time to see that Chino’s were closing, and he was tossing his head back as he moaned, “Chi... gonna-”
Chino’s body had begun to shake, and he didn’t even have to say anything in order for Chi to know he was getting him off. Chi didn’t bother saying anything in response, instead keeping the flicking rhythm of his tongue present right where Chino needed it. He was gripping Chino’s ass cheek when he felt his hips stutter into his nose.
“Chi— uhh, Chi, fuck-” Chino continued to grind his hips, feeling every bit of Chi’s tongue as he was brought closer and closer to orgasm. He lost it when Chi started to suck, writhing on top of Chi from how good it was. Releasing a fervent cry of Chi’s name, Chino climaxed, riding out the sensations coursing through his body as Chi held his hips in place to keep eating him out. When Chi felt him tug at his hair, he released him and smiled up at him.
“Still wanna fuck?” he asked, making Chino snort audibly.
“No, why would I want to do that?” Chino responded, looking at him lamely as he gave a smile back. In retrospect, Chi supposed that maybe it had been a dumb question. “Mm, yeah, I do.”
Chino settled himself back down, turning his head back to look at where a bottle of lube still sat on the base of the dock. “Hmm. Guess we don’t really need that, do we? But...” He leaned back, stretching his arm out to pick it up. Squirting some onto his fingers, he wrapped his hand around Chi’s cock and began to stroke it. “I don’t think you’d have any complaints if we used a little anyways. Oh!” He grinned evilly at Chi, picking up the vibrator in his other hand. Slicking himself with more lube, Chino positioned himself above Chi’s cock, placing the vibrator on his stomach. “Don’t wanna forget this,” he said, his hand letting go to brace himself on the dock as he slowly inserted Chi into him. “That’s good,” he said as he sunk deeper. “Uh,” he moaned, his eyes lighting up as he saw Chi’s facial muscles twitch. He knew exactly what he was doing.
“C’mere,” Chi said, pulling him down into a kiss. Their lips stayed entangled for a few moments before Chino was lifting himself back up and flicking the vibrator on. Chi felt it pulsing on his stomach, though the sensation quickly lowered to his groin before disappearing. It wasn’t for long though, as he soon felt it again, this time on the base of his cock. Chino was rubbing it on himself, the vibrations hitting both their bodies, and as he started to roll his hips back and forth Chi thought he might had just died and gone to Heaven. The buzz wasn’t too intense, and combined with the feeling of being sheathed in Chino’s heat, was just right on his sensitive skin. He watched as Chino’s hips moved, listening to the pleasured noises that escaped his mouth. He felt heat prickle in his skin when he realized that Chino was being particularly loud, and that was when it hit him.
“You remembered what I said about liking your voice, didn’t you?” Chi asked, staring up at Chino with a bit of mischief. Chino had since grabbed the bottle of lube, and was rubbing more onto himself as he smiled at him.
“Wanna give you what you like,” he said, biting his lip. Chi pulled him closer, breathing into his ear.
“Yeah, Chino?” he asked, gripping Chino’s ass cheek and squeezing it. “You know what I’d really like?”
“What?” Chino asked, his voice quickly getting caught in his throat as Chi snapped his hips up into him. Chi pushed his head down so his face was buried into the crook of his neck.
“To make you fucking scream, right here in these woods,” he whispered, taking hold of Chino’s hips as he started to pound into him from below. Chino cried out from the blissful pressure between his legs, his wetness dripping down Chi’s cock and onto his thighs as he was ruined. Chi could feel it soaking him, and combined with Chino’s sounds it just made him push even deeper.
Chino was wailing as Chi thrusted into him, not able to form any comprehensible sentences as Chi gripped a hand in his hair. He tugged Chino’s head back and licked a stripe up his neck.
“Uh, Chi—” Chino’s legs were weak, and Chi fucking into him with so much intensity just made them weaker. He tightened around Chi, his walls fluttering and making Chi moan.
“Imagine someone hearing us from here, Chino. What if they came into the woods to investigate? They’d see you getting fucked, being so good for me and crying my name. Sounding so fucking pretty,” Chi said, licking his lips as he saw Chino’s teary face blush scarlet red. It was a terribly kinky thought, the thought of someone walking into the woods and seeing them in such throes of passion, but Chi could tell it was working to get Chino off. He knew Chino was close, could feel it, and he needed him to let go for him.
“Oh God, Chi...” Chino whined, his voice pitched higher than before. Chi was relentlessly drilling his cock into him at that point, making him cry from ecstasy, and as he felt Chino tighten again he knew he was about to tip him over the edge. He could feel the own rope in his belly coiling, but he wanted Chino to come before him. He knew just what to say to make him do it, too. He decided to branch out further on the idea of someone looking at them, peering at them. Watching them make love on the dock.
“Because you’d like that, wouldn’t you? Yeah? – gonna come inside you. Fill you up just how you like it, make sure they all know you’re mine. All mine.”
Chino’s walls were spasming, and his hips were bucking forward as Chi finally tipped him into sweet release. All Chi could do was hold him close as he screamed into the crook of his neck, and as he clenched tighter and tighter around him Chi was practically shot into his own climax. He cried Chino’s name as his hips pumped up into him, filling him with come just how he had wanted. After about a minute he could hear Chino panting above him, and gave a teasing smile in his own post-sex haze.
“Hopefully no one called the cops over at the park. You sounded like you were being murdered,” he said, also panting as he tried to catch his breath. Chino looked down at their chests, wiping the stray tears off his face before socking Chi lightly in the nipple.
“Yeah, yeah,” he said, rolling his eyes and pressing his lips together to keep from smiling. “Mm.”
Chino lifted himself off of Chi’s cock, which was beginning to soften. “You know, I wasn’t on birth control when we last did this here...” he said, seeming a little nervous. “I could’ve gotten...”
Chi took a moment to consider it. Chino didn’t even have to say the word for him to know what he was talking about. “Yeah...” he said. “But you didn’t. Thank God,” he said, giving a small smile to ease Chino’s nerves.
“Yeah, I didn’t. But-” Chino looked at Chi as he rolled off of him and onto the dock. “If I did... would you have still wanted me?”
Admittedly, Chi had never thought about that before. He knew Chino was probably just going through a bit of weed-induced anxiety, but still wanted to comfort him the best he could.
“I know I would’ve, Chino. And you know why?”
“Why?”
“Because,” Chi sat up, hugging Chino closely to his body. “There’s nothing that could ever keep me from wanting you. You’re so fucking perfect,” he said, grabbing Chino’s face and kissing him passionately. “Nothing that could ever happen that would make me see you as anything less. I love you so fucking much, Chino, you have no idea.”
Chi shook Chino by the shoulders, making him give a relieved smile. “I think-” he stopped as Chi stilled him. “I think I have a little idea.”
Suddenly, Chino’s stomach grumbled, and he was reaching out to grab his clothes. “Fuck, I’m hungry. You too high to drive to the restaurant?” he asked, slipping his boxers and shorts back on. Chi considered it as he reached for his own. He could use something to eat.
“Uh...” Chi did want something to eat, but he didn’t trust himself in front of a steering wheel. He started to redress himself, and gave Chino an apologetic look. “Maybe we can go there tomorrow. I’m still pretty fucking loaded,” he admitted. He expected Chino to be disappointed, and was relieved to see that he didn’t seem to be at all. He just stared at him affectionately, making Chi love him even more.
“Wanna walk to Burger King?” Chino asked, standing up and pulling his shirt over his head. Chi didn’t need to be asked that question twice.
“Yeah,” said Chi, slipping back into his sandals. “Let me get my shirt back on and grab our things.”
Chi walked back over to where their blanket was, picking up his shirt and tugging it onto his body. He picked his satchel up and slung it over his shoulder, stuffing the spilled wine in along with the other things he had brought with them before rolling their blanket up. After he had gotten it up off the ground and shaken it out, he looked at Chino.
“You ready to leave?” he asked, stepping closer to Chino. Chino, in turn, stepped closer to him.
“Yeah,” he said. “One thing first though,” he added, grinning as he saw Chi’s expression turn suddenly confused.
“What’s that?” Chi asked. Chino was right in front of him now, and answered his question by cupping his cheek and pressing their lips together.
“That. Just wanted to kiss you again,” said Chino as he pulled away. “Now I’m ready.”
Chi smiled as they started to walk back to the park. As they passed by some bushes, he saw a yellow stray flower that had landed on the ground.
“One last present,” said Chi, stopping in his footsteps to pick the flower up. Chino stopped as well, and was turning to look at what Chi was doing when he saw Chi holding it out for him to take.
“Aww.” Chino’s eyes glanced back up to Chi, and he was grinning at him. “Thank you.” He took the flower from Chi’s hand and put it in his hair. “Happy anniversary, Chi,” he added, making Chi grin as well.
“Happy anniversary, Chino.”
