Chapter Text
Getting up before even the sun, Forever decided to jump out of bed. There are many things to do and little time to do them! Machines can’t build themselves, after all... Well, not yet, at least!
Making sure his hair is fixed in a decent braid for the time being, just so it won’t get caught in any moving mechanical parts, the blond islander walks towards his working table, gathering the small metal trinket he has been messing with for the last few hours before going to bed the previous night. Forever blinks his baggy eyes, at what time did he go to sleep? He thought for a second before deciding it didn’t matter.
Looking at the small metal cog in his hands he took a measuring tape and noticed some of the teeth were uneven, probably because of his tiredness. Getting a metal sander he went to work; making it the perfect cog.
It was a few hours later that Forever nodded to himself, the cog was as symmetrical as humanly possible, now fitting perfectly into its place inside a create-machine that would help him with the gigantic hole he was digging around his Megabase. Popping his tired back and feeling his eyes dropping Forever blinked and forced a yawn to close before looking backwards towards the window. It is daytime now. the sun is shining very high up in the sky and-
-WAIT!
He promised Richarlyson he would give the little rascal a HUGE supply of avocado toasts and that devil dared he wouldn’t be able to make it all in a single day. Fuck!
Forever jumped from his sitting position in eagerness to prepare a shitload of the food. Unfortunately, his tiredness alongside his sudden move prompted him to hit the heel of his foot on the corner of the chair leg, making the chair fall to the floor. At the same time, Forever felt his head growing dizzy, and he ultimately ended up falling over the now-downed wooden furniture, hitting his back in the process.
“Ah, Merda. Isso doeu pra caralho” [Ah shit, this hurt like a bitch] he murmured in pain under his breath, back firing up in pain, and vision filling with tiny black dots. Holding his head in nausea, the blond man breathed in and out, shutting his jaws forcefully to try and diminish the lacerating pain.
He could deal with this much without making another peep.
Things have been... Worse in the past-
-A dark room which smelt like mold...
...Laughter echoing from behind a bulletproof glass...
Forever quietly held his stomach which now started to hurt as well, bile quickly rising to his throat and making him feel like he was going to double over and puke his empty organ out. Forever covered his mouth and kept his fetal position on the wooden floor. Breathing in and out, in and out...
...In and out...
   Isso mesmo docinho, sem gritar
...In and out...
It took him some minutes for the feeling to subside, but once it did he slowly got up and looked himself over for any bruises or even cuts, which thankfully were not present. After that he gathered the chair from the floor, putting it in the right position, and sighed.
Rubbing his eyes Forever decided to take a look at himself in the nearby mirror, instantly noticing how his hair was an actual mess, and his shirt was covered in machine oil, aside from the various tears on it. Looking one last time at his messy hair Forever smiled thinking how Pomme was the only one who knew how to perfectly braid the actual bird nest in his head.
“Não posso ir na casa do Philza-senpai assim né” [I can’t visit Philza-senpai like this right?] he said to himself while looking at his mirror image. No way in the Nether that he was going to be a poorly dressed avocado thief. The elytran will NEVER see him in a state like this. He needs to make sure the man KNOWS what he is losing.
Forever started by combing his hair, it wasn’t even close to midday still, and he could deliver the avocado toasts by down; according to their bet last night before Richarlyson went to Cellbit’s castle, so he had some time to get fixed up into something more presentable.
After a thorough inspection of his looks when he was done, which included a nice change of clothes, and making double sure there was no oil in his sleeves this time around, Forever took his runestone from the wooden table and started tracing the runes he had learned by heart. The blond Brazilian felt the bodiless feeling of the magic doing its trick and, in a single blink, he was right outside Philza’s house.
The majestic view atop the gigantic walls always manages to take the breath right out of his lungs. He could see for miles in all directions, and being right in the middle of the 'city' that had been built led to discovering all the little improvements that had happened since he won the elections a few weeks prior. He still hasn't gotten around to doing much, but he was talking a lot with Cucurucho about his ideas for the island and what he could and could not do with his new presidential powers.
Looking around Forever then took note of how there seemed to be no one nearby. The map was also empty, meaning Philza had probably taken the kids somewhere for them to spend the day. The man loved those two little dragon-hybrids and would pamper them to the moon and back if he could.
Ignoring the empty feeling in his chest, Forever walked over to the trees, searching to see where he could find some fresh avocados to take home. He had to cover his eyes from the shining sun, which seemed to be especially hot today for some reason. Maybe summer is close.
Yeah, maybe...
Walking around he found a tree with some ripe fruits, taking stacks of bone meals out from his backpack he started multiplying the avocados, soon he would have thousands of them.
Not having anything else to do he kept the repetitive work while traveling down memory lane, remembering a time when he would do this before.
Before the island, that is.
Where he would spend countless hours doing everything in his power to have what he wanted when he wanted. No one could stop him!
At least, that was how it was supposed to be.
...Until he was locked...
His eyes started burning for some reason, he couldn't keep them open and his vision grew blurry. His skin also seemed to be too sweaty for the kind of work he was doing. Forever used his sleeve to clean his forehead from the excess sweat. Why did it feel like it was so damn hot out here today?
“Forever!” Someone shouted,
The blond islander turned around with surprise to see Brunim Philza coming over, two little dragon hybrids following close behind, one with his usual duck floaty and the other having her hair braided with some red and purple flowers; probably Pomme’s doing.
“Oh, hello, hello, mister Philza! Hi Chayenne, and hello Tallulah” he answered, looking over at everyone, but focusing on Philza’s eyes, hair, and hat.
His English has been improving little by little over the weeks on the island and he is proud to be able to maintain a cohesive conversation. The two little hybrids waved at him while Philza simply nodded his head, tipping his hat a little bit, which was a cute habit in Forever’s opinion.
“I see you’ve come to take some more avocados,” The Prince started, looking over to Forever’s hands covered in bone-meal, and the bags of avocados he already had by his feet.
“Yes! I promised Richarlyson I would make him a shit-load of avocado toast, and he bet I wouldn’t be able to in a single day” Forever answered truthfully, he cannot lie to him.
“Haha,” The Prince simply laughed, making Forever’s heart flutter for a second. “I am sure he will regret the bet after he is forced to eat that many avocado toasts when it is all said and done” He added while Forever simply smiled and nodded in agreement, the Prince is always right. The blond Brazilian noticed from the corner of his eyes how Chayenne and Talullah made a disgusted face, probably already sick of eating avocado and bread themselves.
But Forever is glad the Prince is here, his heart beating faster and faster inside his chest, it felt like it wanted to explode with such huge amounts of love he had to give. How much has he missed the Prince!
The blond islander felt as his entire body started shivering, his vision growing blurry once more and wetness gracing his cheeks. Why did it seem to be so cold so suddenly?
“For-”
Maybe it was the wind?
“Forever” The Brazilian blinked, Brunim was right up at his face, staring at him.
“Yes, everything is fine, it’s all fine” Forever nodded. Whenever the Prince is present, no matter where he is, everything is okay. Everything is great even.
Forever started lifting his arm, it has been a while no? He must be hungry by now...
His body shivered again.
“You don’t seem to be okay. You’re pale” The Prince said.
Forever felt his blood running cold in his veins. He? Pale? Never! He cannot allow that! After all he did to make him comfortable, he cannot allow himself to get sick! He can NEVER be sick! It is impossible! The beacons will keep him alive! No matter what he wants, the Prince's will is the finality, and the Prince willed that he should be healthy at all times.
Something pulled at his shirt and Forever blinked, looking down. He smiled seeing Tallulah’s little face, but then noticed how she had such a worried expression in her little eyes.
The Brazilian looked around.
Right...
Quesadilla Island
...Right...
“Sorry!” Forever said, gathering bags full of avocados. “Don’t worry, I might have a small cold or something! It’ll be over in no time” he said, showing off his biceps to support how strong he is while greatly smiling at everyone.
Forever started moving away from Philza and the dragon-hybrid kids “I just really need to get going if I want to finish all of these toasts in time! Also, I don’t want them to get sick too, right?” he pointed to the kids with his eyes “See you later then!” Pulling his runestone he traced the runes of his house, not letting Philza get a single word in.
In less than a second he was away.
He was alone.
Forever felt his knees going weak and he fell to the floor.
“Merda” [Shit] He cursed, feeling his teeth hurting from gritting them the entire time.
Forever quickly broke the sharestone to his house, making sure no one could come after him, and started rubbing his face. Fuck. He is so far away and yet. Shit.
Taking a small pork chop from his backpack Forever slowly ate while looking up at the blue sky. He took some sips of water and decided he was feeling better; even though his body said otherwise.
Philza hasn’t sent him a private message, so the elytran might just have believed him or decided it was not worth it to get involved.
Anyways! He needs to get those toasts done!
-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-
It was evening now, Forever cleaned his sweaty forehead once again and looked at his work. There must be over a thousand toasts in front of him. Richarlyson will get his tiny lizard brain blown away by this!
Rubbing his hands together in malicious preparation for the kid’s response to all of this food he will need to eat for the foreseeable future, Forever smiled and took his waystone. His fingers traced the runes and-
-Nothing...
Furrowing his brow Forever looked down and felt his heart freezing. He clenched his hand over the purple stone and shook his head to clear his thoughts. That warp cannot be reached from here. He is on Quesadilla island for fuck's sake! Thousands and thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of blocks away.
There is no way he would ever be able to teleport back there.
Breathing slowly he tried again, and then, he felt the magic running over his body once he traced the correct runes.
Blinking Forever suddenly saw himself at the Favela, the sun shone on his eyes while he searched around, first looking at the Copacabana beach he had started, and then to all the little colorful houses he had created in the ‘morro’ that was gifted to Richarlyson.
Looking at his map he saw Cellbit and Rycharison were nearby, so he started walking toward the little house which had the Ordo Theoritas entrance, and used the elevators to get inside Cellbit’s office. Upon not finding anyone on the upper floor he used the second ‘hidden’ entrance to find the main hall of the organization.
“Acho que esse não ficou muito bom, Richas” [I think this one isn't very good, Richas] He heard Cellbit talking, probably testing different block styles to this second iteration of the 'secret base' he has been building on the past months.
“Richas!” Forever said once he walked in, seeing his son and Cellbit scrutinizing a wall they had recently finished building with some blocks to test how it felt in the base.
Upon seeing him, the little dragon-hybrid fully turned around and ran over to hug his legs. They had seen each other just yesterday, but the way Richas seemed to be excited to see any of his dads would make anyone feel like the little egg hadn’t seen them for over a year!
The kid started bouncing up and down on his own feet, excited to do something else other than build all day with Cellbit probably. Not that he does not like it, but because he has way too much energy to spend the entire day inside a bunker with no sun.
“Nossa, que horas são?” [Damn, what time is it?] Cellbit asked himself, looking over at a clock to see how late it was in the evening already.
“Ta ficando maneiro aqui ein” [It is getting pretty cool down here huh?] Forever commented, looking the place up and down, Cellbit always had a way in interior designing.
“Ah, valeu,” [Ah, thanks] Cellbit thanked him with an honest smile while rubbing his eyes, which seemed to be very baggy, probably because he most likely spent another night trying to solve enigmas, before noticing how late it was and remembering he had to spend a day with Richas.
The little rascal extends his tiny arms up while bouncing, Forever takes the hint to hold the kid up. “Aqui tá ficando grande ein..." [It is getting pretty big in here huh] Forever said while looking around "Você também tá ficando grande” [You're also getting pretty big] before grunting in extertion with some lack of air, noticing how hard it was to lift the hybrid now. It wasn’t that hard before, Richas was growing so fast.
“É, temos cada vez mais membros” [Yep, we have more members each day] Cellbit replied also looking around, a satisfied smile gracing his lips at the prospect of this project turning into something that may let them leave this place at some point, but then growing very soft upon seeing Richas being carried by Forever.
“Bom, vou indo lá pra Copacabana, tenho de terminar aqueles prédios” [Well, I’m going to go to Copacabana, I need to finish those buildings] He told Cellbit where he was going. Richas excitement immediately died down when he heard today was not going to be an exploration day.
"Ah Richas, também trouxe isso para você" [Ah Richas, I also brought this for you] Forever said, waiting for Richas to look at him with those curious eyes of his, and then drop stacks upon stacks of avocado toast on the floor. It would be an understatement to say that Richas had a very dissapointed and scared face on as Cellbit's doubled down laughing and Forever looked proudly at that monstrous montain of food.
...
It didn’t take long for them to reach Copacabana, considering it was right by the Order’s base, and Forever immediately went to work. He needs to get those hotels ready ASAP to show Philza how he can be rich without the Englishman’s help. As the hours ticked by and Forever worked under the sun he kept on feeling like his skin was slowly cooking under its intense heat, even though the day passed and the sun was now almost setting, the sensation never left him.
Richas helped Forever with the basics of the buildings, letting him know when something was asymmetrical, and then managing to get into some trouble with bulls, which the little egg took a great liking to kill recently, now that he has no fear of getting hurt by them ever again; his armor upgraded to never aloy it.
“Pestinha” [Little shit] Forever murmured under his breath with goofiness, seeing how his son seems to be doing so much better recently.
Since Bobby’s death, Richarlyson seemed to be a lot duller for a few weeks, but now, after Cellbit and Roier finally got married, things seemed to have taken a turn for the better. Hopefully, it will remain this way.
Signing, the blond man looked up at the darkening sky.
On this island nothing lasts Forever, something is bound to change soon.
But he can let himself be comforted in those slim moments of calm and quiet. When he can look down from his beach chair to see his little son poking at a crab with a stick in curiosity, a glass of caipirinha in his hand, and a mostly done skyscraper at his back. The orange sun setting atop the slow-moving waves of the sea he created.
He likes these moments the best.
But he still can’t scratch that little itch that is making him restless.
Red eyes blinking in the distance kept appearing for him.
And he ignored them.
“Richas, vamobora! Ta na hora de ir pra cama!” [Richas, let’s go! It’s time to go to bed] He called out to Richas, it was time to get back home and rest; the sun had set and stars started to sprinkle the sky.
Richas will spend the night with Pac and Mike today, so he needs to leave now if he wants to arrive at Chume Labs at a reasonable time for the double of dads.
