Chapter Text
"So Charles, are you single?"
The man in front of her hesitated, giving his friend a look.
"Molly, if you're trying to set me up on another date, please don't."
"Come on! You didn't give the last girl a chance."
"I didn't give her a chance because I'm gay."
The woman blinked.
"Don't tell me you forgot."
"Well," Molly dragged out the L. "there is a guy I can introduce you to."
Charles sighed and gave her a look.
"Listen. He's hot, he's a good guy and I think you two would get along great!"
"And?"
"And I want my friends to be happy, okay?" Molly gave him her best puppy dog eyes. "Please?"
He gave a final sigh of defeat. "Fine." Molly cheered. "But if I don't like him, no more dates. Deal?"
"Deal. So is Friday good?"
"Don't tell me you set this up already!"
Molly just grinned.
"Hey Henry, what if I told you I could get you a date on Friday?"
"Molly, why would you set some poor soul up to meet me?"
"Because, he's a good guy and I think you two would get along."
Henry gave her a look. "You know how my last two relationships ended. Why do you think I haven't had another?"
"Because it's me and you're my best friend and you'd do anything for me." Molly gave Henry the same puppy dog eyes look.
He sighed in defeat, giving in. "Alright, fine. Who is this guy?"
"He's a close friend of mine. If you weren't my best friend he would be."
"Wow, thanks."
"You know what I mean. And after Riza you've kind of been a little, okay a lot, bitchy." Henry glared at her and she continued. "And I think you've been like this for a lot longer, since before Riza."
When Henry winced she knew she was right.
"Sorry, sorry. Anyways Friday. Be there."
"Yeah, I heard you."
Friday night came around and both were nervous. They had both worn a nice suit, it was a fancy resturant after all.
When they both arrived at the resturant, they were surprised to see each other there.
"Henry?"
"Charles?"
"No, don't tell me you're the guy Molly set me up with!"
"You know Molly?"
Charles blinked. "Yes?"
"So, now what?"
"Now? Now, I'm leaving."
"Charles wait," the man stopped. "We should really talk."
Charles eyed him. "I don't talk to cheaters." With that he left.
Henry watched, unable to do anything as the love of his life left him again.
