The Overlord of Social Media and Fashion scrolled through her phone while her father or well surrogate father was making dinner and her other father the Overlord of Debauchery made dessert.
"Fucking hell!" Velvet throws her phone alerting Vox "Vel what's wrong?" Vox asked, Velvet crossed her arms "it's nothing dad...just some trouble" Valentino stopped making dessert "what kind of trouble?" Valentino scowled.
"Nothing daddy...just some trouble from when I was alive" Vox looked at his daughter with sympathy and sat at the table next to her, "spill the tea" Velvet took a deep breath "I..I...before I died and came to Hell back on earth I had a bully her name was Lila Rossi and she bullied me into suicide" Vox looked at his daughter his heart breaking for her.
"She then ruined my life and drove me to suicide and I checked earth's news and turns out she's famous now!" Hearing his daughter's story Valentino slammed open drawers "where is it!" Vox knew what Valentino was looking for "Val no" Vox attempted to get his boyfriend under control.
"Val yes! Aha! Found it" Valentino holds three Asmodian Crystals "where going to earth Vel and we're going to kick some ass!" The trio puts on the Asmodian Crystals and go to earth, Paris France specifically.
"Val, what the hell are we doing?" Vox questioned, "we are letting our daughter have a normal life" Valentino pulls a credit card out of his pocket, "Let's by an apartment and we'll talk about this later."
Two days later the trio moved in,"so what the hell is the plan?" Velvet questioned "well you will go to school at...fuck I can't read French" "Collège Françoise Dupont" Vox said, "smart ass, but anyways Velvet this is your chance for a second start at life."
Velvet embraced her father's happily.
the next day Vox and Valentino had a meeting with the school to enroll Velvet. Vox went by his original human 'Vance' "Mr. Damoclés we want to enroll our daughter in your school" Vox said "tell me about your daughter" Mr. Damoclés asked "well Valerie is just the sweetest thing you've ever seen, she has good grades and is very friendly" 'Valerie?' Vox whispered "it's Velvet's old name."
"Why did you two chose my school?" Mr. Damoclés asked, Vox looked down clearly some truth was about to be said "Valerie was always treated horribly in her other schools, and we were always hated for our relationship...so she never fit in and we're hoping for a fresh start here in Paris"
Feeling touched by Vox's word's Mr. Damoclés accepted Velvet into the school.
The next day Valentino drove Velvet in a limo, she got out breathing the fresh air she took a few steps but then Valentino honked the horn "I love you ¡Terciopelo rojo!"
Valentino shouted from the limo, embarrassing Velvet "dad! Really?" He honked again "say I love you back or I will honk this horn 1,000 time!" Velvet went to her class with Mrs. Bustier.
"Class we have a new student introducing Valerie" Velvet looked at everyone, were they all staring at her?
"She's pretty" Rose commented, "thanks for the compliment, I'm here to learn and have fun" Valerie walked to her sit "so to start off I think everyone should introduce themselves to Valerie" Mrs. Bustier suggested
The students took turns introducing themselves to Valerie. Some of them seemed friendly, while others appeared hesitant or skeptical. Valerie smiled politely, trying her best to make a good first impression.
After the introductions, Mrs. Bustier started the lesson. Valerie listened attentively, eager to learn and immerse herself in this new school environment. As the day went on, she began to feel more comfortable among her classmates, laughing and participating in class discussions.
By the end of the day Velvet was in the woman's restroom, she washed her hands and saw Lila "thought you died" Lila said, Velvet ignored her "why the long face? I remember your mom and dad...but who are those two men raising you now? Family finally get rid of you?" Velvet punched Lila right in the face
"Oh look Valerie is getting angry again, remember last time?" Velvet wanted to punch her again but she couldn't, "oh and by the way Valerie~ I have eyes everywhere. I can get dirt on you faster than you think" "lay off Lila!" The voice belonged to Marinette Dupain-Cheng
Lila smirked before leaving "remember Valerie I'm always watching" Marinette looked at Velvet "hey, are you okay?" Marinette asked "Yeah I'm fine" Velvet walked to Valentino's limo "Terciopelo rojo- is something wrong Vel?" Velvet didn't answer and the ride home was even more quiet. When they arrived home Velvet went to her room and locked her door, "what's wrong with Vel?" Vox questioned
Valentino sighed, worry etched across his face. "I don't know, Vox. Something is definitely bothering her. We need to give her some space and let her come to us when she's ready." Vox nodded in agreement, understanding that sometimes their daughter needed time to process her emotions on her own.
Meanwhile, in her room, Velvet sat on her bed with tears streaming down her face. The encounter with Lila had brought back painful memories and stirred up intense emotions within her. She felt overwhelmed and scared, unsure of how to handle the situation. She didn't want to burden her fathers with her problems, but she couldn't shake off the fear that Lila would reveal something about her past.
Taking a deep breath, Velvet picked up her phone and took off her Asmodian Crystal, she took a picture and sent it to Dia and Summer with the caption: 'here on earth again succubitches!'
She looked at their chat box and Dia was the first to reply.
D: damn girl, how'd you get Valentino and Vox to go up there?
V: daddy went crazy
S: course he did, call us tomorrow
V: can't, I have school
S: after school, call us we miss you, babe
Velvet then fell asleep hoping tomorrow would be better. At school Marinette kept trying to talk and befriend her "why are you afraid of opening up to people?" "Me, afraid? I feast on fear" "then what happened with Lila?" Velvet looked away "she ruined my life" she muttered "how?"
Velvet looked at her dumbfounded "you promise you won't use this as blackmail?" Marinette nodded "alright, years ago Lila made me go insane and I almost killed myself, my mom and dad decided to give me up and gave me to my new dad's" Velvet explained, twisting the truth
"Valerie, I'm sorry" Velvet chuckled "eh, don't be I deserve it" Marinette shook her head, "No one deserves to be treated like that. I'm sure you had your reasons for your past actions, but that doesn't justify what Lila did to you. And you don't have to face your struggles alone. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you," she said with a soft smile.
Velvet was taken aback by Marinette's kindness and sincerity. She had expected judgment or pity, but instead found a true friend. "Thank you, Marinette," she said, a genuine smile crossing her face for the first time that day.
As the day went on, Velvet found herself opening up more to Marinette, sharing small details about her life and her struggles in Hell. She slowly began to see that not everyone was out to hurt her, and that she could trust some people.
When she arrived home that night, she told Vox and Valentino about her day, including her new friendship with Marinette. The two Overlords were thrilled to hear that their daughter was making progress in her new life on Earth.
