Oh No, I Screwed My Idol's Destiny

Summary:

He turned around to find a teenager in a red gi holding a golden sword - who looked about his age - with oddly very spiky hair sticking out all over the place. Honestly he looked like he dumped a whole bottle of hair gel onto himself.

Arin knows only one person who could possibly have the will to do that.

“Kai..?”

Arin post-DR Season 1 ends up during Ninjago season 1

Chapter 1: It's Crazy We Survived, But We're Alive

Chapter Text

The day was pretty normal, Lloyd woke us up for training at the crack of dawn, Zane cooked lunch, Kai was training Wyldfyre, Nya was working in the hangar bay with Zane.

Everything was great!

After spending the morning training with his best friend Sora, Arin decided to go for a small walk and come back before lunch.

Living with the ninja was a dream come true-and being trained by the legendary green ninja was even better. But that doesn't mean Arin wouldn't appreciate a break from time to time. But of course, wherever a ninja-or a ninja in training-goes, trouble usually follows.

As Arin started towards the monastery gates, the dust and dirt shifted and strong winds enveloped him, Arin could see or hear anything but the flying dust and the winds thrumming against eardrums.

Startled, Arin let out a strangled cry for help, while trying to keep his footing. He did not know how long the wind and dust was blowing around him, it seemed to last so long Arin began to feel lightheaded.

As fast as the dust came it has settled, leaving the stunned teenager alone in a monastery courtyard. Arin blinked and shook the spots out of his vision, taking note of his surroundings.

He was in the monastery like he was a few seconds ago.

But the monastery looked… different

In fact he couldn’t hear the loud noises Kai and Wyldfyre would make, he couldn’t hear Sora tinkering with her mech, or Lloyd arguing with Nya on how tea should be made, or-

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” A stern and threatening voice stopped Arins thoughts from spiraling.

Chapter 2: You're Way Too Young To Know, I'm Grateful That You Don't

Summary:

The teen looked confused—but as a response to the fire ninja’s threatening tone, he raised his hands up in surrender as if to say, I’m not a threat. Kai blinked at him. Yeah, he’s way too innocent—looks like a Jay 2.0, but not as jittery.

Update! <33

Also first things first i'd love to thank @Hijabiwriter for beta reading and help with fixing some grammar errors!

Chapter Text

All Kai felt was confusion and anger as he studied the teen in front of him. The boy seemed roughly the same age as him, with dark skin and curly black fluffy hair. Also, this boy looked far too innocent to be a ninja.

“How do you know who I am?” Kai asked, his voice threatening.

The teen looked confused—but as a response to the fire ninja’s threatening tone, he raised his hands up in surrender as if to say, I’m not a threat. Kai blinked at him. Yeah, he’s way too innocent—looks like a Jay 2.0, but not as jittery.

“Speak up!” Kai ordered, still pointing the golden sword of fire at the even more confused teen, but…he didn’t seem scared of Kai. In fact, the boy was rather curious, as if trying to solve a puzzle that didn’t have all the pieces.

“I don’t know, one second I was leaving the monastery and the next I’m right here. Why do you look so…young?” The teen asked, his brow furrowing. Now it was Kai’s turn to be confused.

“Young? I’ve always been this way.” Kai snapped.

The stranger blinked in surprise. “No, last I saw you, you were almost in your thirties. If I remember right you told me you were like…29?”

Suddenly, Jay’s laughter rang throughout the monastery courtyard, “Kai? 29?” He yelled and walked over beside him, “Look who’s suddenly old.” He teased.

Pretty soon, Cole's laughter joined Jay’s, and Zane just looked confused.

Apparently, they all had heard the exchange. Master Wu walked out with a sour expression and approached the teen, who looked pale.

At the sight of Master Wu, the boy paled even more…and his eyes rolled back as he suddenly collapsed on the floor.

Master Wu blinked and stared at the now unconscious teen for a long moment, before signaling Cole and Zane to take him inside, mumbling incoherent words under his breath as he left towards the library.

Cole and Zane took the teen into the gameroom, settling him onto the couch.

“29? Who does he think he is?” Kai asked.

Jay, who was still snickering, “Ooo, what if he is from the future ! That would be awesome!”

As Jay kept rambling about different possibilities of where the teen could have come from, Kai could only stare at the limp body; the boy clearly had suffered and fainted because of severe shock.

What else was new?

Notes:

Kai is offended in on a legendary level.
