Notes:

Warning: Alcohol, underage drinking

Work Text:

The next day, what remained of the teenagers returned from their shopping spree with a bunch of goodies fit for a rager party. April was able to sneak a fake ID into a small liquor store, and was able to provide most of the teens' alcohol as a result. She also wanted to provide food, as she knew that alcohol didn’t pair too well with an empty stomach. So she managed to get a sandwich tray catered, and she also picked up a fruit tray with caramel dip.

Leo managed to get more alcohol, but his focus was more on beer and seltzer than hard liquor. He also picked up a veggie tray and extra ranch dip for them to munch on. Raph ordered a party box from Taco Bell, and Mikey picked up a cookie platter.

The last piece of the puzzle was in entertainment. Casey managed to bring out every card game he owned, from “Cards Against Humanity” to “What Do You Meme?”. He also had his XBox available for either video games or as a Blu-Ray player for movies. Mikey also offered up their Nintendo Switch for video games as well, in case anyone wanted to play Mario Kart or an equivalent.

The night started out peacefully. Over the first round of drinks and the box of tacos, they decided to play a game of “What Do You Meme?”. The game went smoothly, even with everyone finishing off a bottle of whipped cream vodka in between rounds. Given that the game was mostly idle time, as no one really knew how to make their own memes while drunk, Raph was able to steal the last of the tacos. Mikey, on the other hand, was the only sober party of the night. So he was able to completely sweep the game and win in 5 rounds.

“Booyakasha!”

“Good game, Mikey.” Raph laughed.

“Do we want to play another board game?”

“...no.”

Casey put the board games away, and Mikey got an idea. He pulled out the Nintendo Switch and decided to boot up Mario Kart 8.

“Are you sure?” Leo asked. “There’s 5 of us, but only 4 controllers.”

Mikey just nodded and took the platter of cookies.

“Y’all are piss fucking drunk, so this won’t be any fun to join in on. I’m going to bed. Good luck.”

“Bed? It’s only 10:30.”

“It’s the caffeine from the soda.”

“I see.”

Mikey went upstairs for the night, and everyone scrambled to grab a controller. With the game loaded up and controllers in hand, they each grabbed another drink and went ham.

=====================================================================

Come 11pm, the house was a wreck. All of the drinks and most of the food were gone, and Casey had managed to pass out upside down on the couch. Raph was also struggling to stay awake, but wanted to kick everyone’s asses in Rainbow Road 64 before going up to bed.

“One more round, okay?”

“Fine.”

Leo nodded and started up the course. The challenges on the course were enough to keep everyone awake and alert, even if they were more drunk than ideal. But in the end, Raph won in a landslide. And he was damn sure to rub it in EVERYONE’s faces.

“Fuck you, I won!”

Leo chuckled.

“Sore winner.”

“Shut up.”

Raph stood up and swigged what little remained of his beer before walking upstairs.

“Goodnight.”

Now, it was just Leo and April awake downstairs. They were both drunk and starting to get sleepy, but Leo wanted to prove himself.

“One more round? How about the new Rainbow Road?”

“...sure. Winner gets to stay on the couch.”

“Deal.”

Leo started up the round, and they managed to play with no problems. However, despite both being skilled Mario Kart drivers, April ended up beating Leo with little breathing room. Humbled by a close defeat, Leo headed upstairs for the night. And after fumbling for a bit to figure out the remotes, April was finally able to crash on the couch and fall asleep.
