Chapter 1: No Space Can Keep Us Apart

Chapter Text

Ericht was on her last year of college! A blessing from God since being a computer science engineer with a minor in communications for business had been draining her of her youth. Withering the last of her mortal life span on failed friendships, loveless connections, and all-nighters filled with studying and gaming. Ericht didn’t think she had it in her to survive another year of this irregular life-style.

It also didn’t help that most of her financial aid came in the form of part-time paychecks and scholarships earned since her mom wanted her to understand the responsibilities of making ends meet on her own. Of course, her mom wasn’t completely heartless. Whenever Ericht couldn’t make any payments, her mom was there to scold her and provide the “borrow” funds.

Thus nothing was keeping her mom from visiting her. Her excuse being that she wanted to see her living conditions since the last place she rented went sideways. Stating she needed to make sure they wouldn’t throw her out like her previous renters. But to be fair to the couple, Ericht was grateful that they allowed her to rent a room in their home for the cheap price of three hundred given how expensive their neighborhood was located in. Completely understanding why, they wanted her out since her mischievous cat couldn’t keep her claws to herself.

And so, she had many things to prepare for her mom’s visit: There was cleaning all the rooms in the small one-bedroom apartment, buying groceries with her savings, and replacing or DIYing repairs on furniture her cat had torn up. Like her sofa, it needed a blanket on it asap.

As Ericht brought out her wool pattern blanket, which she got from a yard sell a few days ago, she called out for her little stinker’s. Yelling for her cat as she covered the holes along its cushion with a well-placed blanket.

Dusting her hands off with a job well done, she called out once again for her cat. She needed to take the little devil a shower too since Ericht needed the whole apartment clean, “Suletta!” she called out searching for her red hair Maine Coon when Suletta failed to appear.

Ericht searching for Suletta as she cleaned. The apartment unknowingly empty with only a crack window as evidence of the break out.

Suletta was blissfully unaware of the gentle waterboarding that waited for her when she returned.

In her mouth she cared only the best treats she could manage to snatch from Ericht the night before as her owner gamed late into the night. Ericht not noticing the missing slim jim from her computer counter after it was carefully taken by Suletta skillful paws. Suletta did her best to hide away such a valuable item for today. Placing it inside her torn-up cat house to assure Ericht wouldn’t find it. A wonderful plan that had worked! All so she could share it with her beloved.

With a silly grin, Suletta daydreamed about her lover’s reaction. Would she be overjoyed by the treat? Would she shower her with many kisses as thanks? Would she let her be the mother to her children? All possibilities!!

Suletta joyfully ignored all the scary noises and horrifying figures crossing her path as she passed through roads and scaled up bumpy walls. Taking safe routes that belong to no cat as to avoid unnecessary fighting since she had a price to deliver. Luckily, the birds and other wild life also left her alone on this special day as she focused her efforts to travel by rooftops.

Eventually, ending up in a much cleaner part of town given the roof tiles were clean from moss and there was less trash laying below on the sidewalks. Though it was clean under human quality, Suletta could still smell the many different scents marking each corner of this neighborhood. Certain areas belonging to dogs and cats that lived among these wealthy homes.

Ignoring these territorial scents, Suletta had made it to the all too familiar electric pole. She was finally here, Suletta readjusted the slim in her mouth. Taking deep breaths before taking a giant leap from her roof top to a wooden fence dividing the public road from the private residence. She had underestimated the jump and fell a little way too short. She had barely grabbed on and began using her back legs to crawl her way to the top of this narrow flat zone. Making unavoidable noise as she balanced herself at the top, bracing herself for trouble as she headed towards the large oak tree at the yards center. One of its branches hung low enough by the fence that would allow her to cross over to its trunk.

On cue, Suletta heard the deep barking of her “not her friend” friend.

“You again!” Came running Guel, the Dobermann, “I thought I told you to knock it off!” he jumped at the base of the tree. Snapping his jaws open and close as he tried to intimidate her, “This is my home! You can’t just use someone’s tree!”

“Sawwie Goo,” Suletta apologized as she climbed onto his houses roof using a higher branch, “I’ll maaak wwtt uwp to you,” she continued as Guel barked back that there should never be a later.

She was trespassing, “Suletta!! This is the last time you come through my yard!!” he circled around the property, frustrated that he couldn’t follow her from inside his home since he was an outside dog, “Did you hear me?!”

Ignoring him, Suletta tottered on. Hearing as Guel’s owner yelled for him to be quiet. She sympathized with the dog as someone who also got into plenty of trouble for doing the things she loves. At least that’s what Suletta compared her artistic markings on Ericht’s home to Guel’s nagging.

Once she leaped onto a few roofs, Suletta saw her. Her most precious love in the whole world: Miorine Rembran. The most elegant, intelligent, and beautiful Siamese cat she had ever had the privilege of living with during those long human three years.

Miorine was waiting for her as she had done every day at this time. Sitting inside her home’s attic space, Miorine was nested upon the circular window that laid peeking out from the homes center roofing. Her silver-violet eyes scanning the area for intruders or pest that would wonder upon her space without her permission. Protecting the grounds for Suletta as she surveyed the area.

Seeing Miorine at work, Suletta almost felt bad for interrupting her stunning concentration. Taking a pause right by the side of one of the triangular roofing to simply stare at the majestic guard that was Miorine. At least, until Miorine spotted her and immediately sat up. Her gaze softening as she unlatched the lock and pushed the window out to give Suletta enough space to wiggle in through the crack.

“You’re late,” Miorine complained. Not allowing Suletta a second to sit as she rubbed herself against her. Trying to place her scent all over Suletta’s foreign smells that clung to her every time she ventured over.

“S-Sorry,” Suletta wobbled with delight, the treat falling at her paws as Miorine continued to mask her with everything she bore. Miorine rubbing her cheeks against Suletta’s own, dragging her whole body across Suletta’s face before allowing her tail to flick the tip of her nose. Such an aggressive cuddle had Suletta stammering and bubbling with bashful giggles. Almost forgetting the surprise, which she had brought over. Only remembering when Suletta accidentally stepped on it during her attempt to follow Miorine, “Oh! I brought you a gift,” Suletta gestured to the slim jim she had dropped.

Miorine circled along Suletta before settling right beside her to investigate the stick. Taking a few sniffs before taking an awkward bite, “I-It’s…” she wasn’t a fan of such low-quality treats, yet she couldn’t bare to dismiss Suletta’s hard work, “… strong. You should eat it,” Miorine got up and down from the window sill, moving to her tower that her servants had placed for her there.

“Are you sure?” Suletta’s ears drooped. She had prepared this gift especially for Miorine and she didn’t want her to think poorly of her if she ate it.

Settling high above her tower’s basket, Miorine nodded, “Hurry up and eat it. I want to relax with you.”

“R-Right!” Hearing those words, Suletta was in high spirits as she took one bite before stopping herself, “You know what? I’ll save it for Guel,” She left it alone as she jumped down, “He works hard every day letting me pass along his yard safely. I should give it to him as thanks,” and Suletta walked herself to Miorine’s tree. Taking one powerful leap as she shook the tower with her powerful ascent.

“The dog? Ha. You shouldn’t waste your time offering those mutts anything.”

“But he’s very nice.”

“He just wants to kill you. I’d hardly consider that nice.”

“Hahaha, maybe. But he hasn’t.”

“Because you haven’t given him a chance to show you.”

“I see you still can’t trust dogs,” Suletta was hesitant to take her spot beside Miorine.

Miorine closed her eyes to allow the vibrations of her basket being wiggled back and forth from Suletta’s climb to pass over her. Only opening them once the movement stopped but she felt no warmth on her. Taking a peek at the red fur cat, Miorine stared at Suletta. Not willing to believe that Suletta would still ask for permission to share her bed when they have spent countless seasons nuzzled together.

Suletta caught on quickly. Thanking Miorine as she took her spot on the free space the Siamese cat left for her. Yet given their size difference, Suletta couldn’t help being a bit on top of Miorine.

The other didn’t care as they began their daily briefing, “So what’s new with you?”

Suletta hummed in false thought as she leaned her head against Miorine’s own. She could never get enough of her soft fur as she rubbed herself against Miorine. Ignoring the questionable teasing look from Miorine, who let Suletta coddle her for a bit.

Stopping when Miorine placed a paw upon her face, “Ok. Enough,” she was over stimulated.

Suletta was embarrassed by her own indulgence, “Ah! H-How’s your day?” Playing it cool when her tail betrayed her, Suletta tried to deflect the growing fluster.

“It’s fine,” Miorine snorted debating whether she should tease the bigger cat.

“Nothing new?”

“Mmm. My servants have been buzzing about some pregnancy. I believe the smaller one is expecting, but I don’t sense anything from her.”

“That’s weird,” Suletta thought back to the couple.

When Ericht had been renting with them, the only times she ever interacted with the pair was when the man would yell at her for climbing onto their bed or showing Miorine how to have fun. And just like that, Suletta began remembering all the times he would pick her up, toss her away, or clap his hands to get her to leave.

All valid reactions since Suletta was always performing some wild stunts. Suletta hummed to herself. Now that she was thinking about it, Suletta did a lot of questionable things in the name of impressing Miorine. Though the woman was always super kind to her and would often let her have a taste of Miorine’s wet food.

So, if the woman wanted to bare children, but couldn’t, Suletta empathize with her, “I feel bad for her,” Suletta concluded, “I’m sure she isn’t the problem. It’s that man of hers. He probably has something wrong with him… She shouldn’t have settled for someone as bitter as Mr Rembran.”

“He’s not bad, you know,” Miorine defended her property, “He likes to act tough, but he’s a big softy inside,” he would often play with her and take hundreds of pictures a day. Especially when he brought home small outfits for Miorine to try. He even squealed like a child when Miorine showed him a little bit of affection such as rubbing against his legs or sitting on his chest.

“If he was a softy, then he wouldn’t have kicked Ericht out.”

“You’re never going to forgive him for it, are you?”

“Of course not!” Suletta grumbled, “They made us separate… even though I didn’t want to leave you behind.”

“You’re an idiot,” Miorine knew better about their situation.

They were ultimately going to be separated, Suletta hadn’t been the first animal to make their way into their home’s rental room. It was sadly their destiny. Even so, Suletta had been the first animal Miorine hadn’t wanted to see go. Suletta was the first cat, who had made her feel things that made her want to just… mount the other indiscriminately everywhere. But she never dared to, not when Suletta never showed any signs of wanting to get physical with her. Nor did Miorine have the confidence to try given the heighten possibility of being caught by the humans. Satisfied with what they had, Miorine would accept their current relationship and what it entailed thinking she had time.

Yet, when the news of them leaving was heard, Miorine was almost tempted to follow after Suletta and live wherever she settled. All to be near her only lover, but Miorine wasn’t an outside cat and she could never betray the people who raised her since she was a kitten so easily.

Flabbergasted from being called an idiot, Suletta was going to retort her claim. That was until she was ambushed by Miorine’s sudden grooming that followed by some lovely negative fluffy words.

“A big. Dumb. Idiot,” and Suletta scrunched her face before relaxing upon Miorine’s gentle brushing.

They stayed like that for a few. Miorine grooming her until Suletta got the courage to return the favor. Brushing each other clean until Miorine had fallen asleep on her chest. Suletta purred like a machine on its highest level of power as she nested herself on the silver cat. The two curled up as they basked in each other’s warmth and healing purrs.

They slept for hours.

Suletta was the first to wake-up after smelling the Rembran’s dinner being prepared. Rubbing her eyes to dispel the crust surrounding her eyes, she peered over to the window to find that night had creeped upon them too quickly.

“M-Miorine!” Suletta awoke her love, “I have to go.”

“W-What? Now?” Miorine lifted her head up, her eyes still closed. Her whiskers and fur pulled back to give her a cartoonishly small head.

Suletta didn’t have the time to enjoy it as she rose from her spot, “Ericht is going to be so worried! Grandma is coming to visit tomorrow, I was going to help her clean too,” Mentioning how she was going to pick up her toys and put them away.

“Huh?” Miorine squinted her eyes. Not wanting to let Suletta go home before they did anything else, “But we haven’t done our usual,” they hadn’t chased one another or played hide and seek.

Suletta bumped their heads and rubbed her cheeks on Miorine multiple times, “I’ll come again once grandma leaves,” Pleased with her work, Suletta climbed down from the tower.

Now Miorine was wide awake, “Hold on,” she chased after Suletta. Stopping her before she could climb back up the window’s panel, “What do you mean when your grandma leaves? Aren’t you coming tomorrow?” Afterall, Suletta always made her daily visits since she moved. It was a promised visitation.

“I … probably won’t be able to,” It was hard for Suletta to admit, “Grandma doesn’t like me roaming outside. She told me and Ericht that it’s dangerous for me to be able to come in and out… so I’ll probably be under house arrest once she arrives.”

“And how long is that?”

“I… don’t know.”

“Suletta!”

“I promise it won’t be more than a few days!” Suletta promised, “I won’t make you wait a week!”

“And if it is??”

“T-Then… I will come back regardless if grandma is watching me.”

Miorine sighed. Even if she wanted to object, Suletta belonged to another home. She had to accept this reality since there wasn’t anything she could do, “Ok.”

Sensing Miorine’s defeated tone, Suletta gave her some solid head butts, “Wait for me. I will come back.”

Miorine nodded. They both jumped onto the window sill. Miorine waiting for Suletta to leave through the window, the redhead picking up the slim jim before squeezing her way out. Accompanying her love with her eyes, Miorine wished Suletta a safe passage home. Following and memorizing the way Suletta retraced her steps back home. Once it was clear that Suletta was gone, Miorine sighed to herself again. Closing the window and locking it securely before just staring in the direction Suletta had gone.

“Hurry back,” Miorine grumbled as her tail flickered about with annoyance.

She wondered how she would deal without Suletta’s company as if she hadn’t spent a good chunk of her early life alone. Forgetting she had been a solo cat from the beginning, Miorine couldn’t imagine what her days would be without Suletta to join her.

Missing Suletta already.

“Miorine! Dinner,” her servant yelled from the kitchen. The tapping of her bowl to signal it was filled with tonight’s home-made chicken and veggie meal.

Miorine jumped down with an irritating huff. Taking dinner as a good distraction for her adorable lover’s absences as she jogged her way to her human.

Chapter Text

‘How long was Suletta planning on making me wait?’ Miorine huffed with soft exhaustion as she peered out into the darkness of the front yard.

Her small frame hidden behind the drawn curtains of the master bedroom’s window giving it a slight hump. Her tail was the only thing peering out from below its folds as it flickered side to side in ever growing annoyance from her lover’s absence.

Slumbering soundly were her faithful servant’s that laid defenselessly on their beds. This had been the third night, soon-to-be the third day, and Suletta had still not returned to her. Still, it wasn’t so bad, not like Miorine was also counting the seconds.

That would be crazy.

She was just being impatient, Miorine reassured herself, it still hadn’t been a full week. Suletta still had time to visit her. Nodding to her own reasoning, Miorine cozied herself down on all fours. Wrapping her tail around her as she loafed, her eyes lazily scanning the grass for any suspicious movement. Half debating whether she should also sleep, since Suletta would never visit her during the night.

‘Just a little bit more,’ Miorine thought. Finding the illumination of the moon to be comforting. The cooling space rock being a soothing entity as she prepared herself for bed.

That was until she saw a red cat walking into her lawn, “Suletta!” She meowed helpless delighted. Paws hitting the floor with a deep thud as she zoomed to the main floor. Aggressively dodging furniture and other things loitering about to find a new accessible view, “SULETTA!” She called out in hopes the redhead would hear her from the grounds window.

The red cat’s ear twitching to the sounds, the owner turning her way to reveal a gingered tabby, who had a few scars on its face. Miorine hissed instantly, “Get lost!!” She growled and began to yowler when the tabby took a mocking seat to watch with a giant grin on its face.

This went on for a good while with Miorine never letting down as she hissed and yowled. Fluffing up to appear large and intimidating as she paced the span of the frame. Whacking the window with her freshly cut nails as the other cat turned its head amusingly. The only threat large enough to have it sprinting away in fear was the racoons messing around in the trash bins beside the home.

Miorine felt inadequate by her excessive territorial whines. If Suletta was there they would have found the whole thing laughable since Suletta would have been alongside her doing the same thing. Or perhaps, Suletta would have called her brave and rained hundreds of kisses on her head for standing her ground.

“Oh brother,” Miorine rolled her eyes. Stepping down and staring out into the living space that was far too spacious for her liking.

Remembering when Suletta had lived there too: She would often wiggle herself upon the large rug to entice Miorine to play night tag. She sighed; those were simpler times. With nothing else to do, Miorine returned to the master bedroom to finally sleep. Choosing to rest inside the walk-in closet, she climbed her way into the shoe shelves of Notrette Rembran’s side. Pushing aside pairs of high heels to snuggle herself comfortably in a corner.

With her head resting on her front paws, Miorine wondered gloomily in her mind: Was life always this boring?

“Miorine!”

Miorine flinched her ears up in alert. Brows furring up in annoyance as she waited to see the state of urgency that would need her to come out, “Miorine!”

Maybe if I ignore her, “Miorine!”

Miorine snapped her eyes wide open. Pupils needle like as she finally clamored out a yawn, her body stretched upwards with her toes spread before shaking herself ready. Leaving the closet, Miorine’s internal clock told her it was still too early for them to be home as she noted the bedroom was brighter than normal.

Strolling her way to the living room, Miorine saw Notrette and Dell. They were motioning for her to get close, but Miorine stopped as soon as the foreign smell insulted her nose. Surprised to see a guest joining them: The man was older, sickly, with a breathing tube connected to his nose leading to the specialized wheel chair he sat on.

“There you are,” her maid came to her. Scooping her up and holding her close to her chest for pets. Bringing Miorine over for the strange man to examine, “What do you think? Pretty isn’t she.”

The older man nodded, “Just like you advertised. She’d make a fine litter indeed,” he reached out for Miorine to sniff his finger, a small polite gesture for permission to touch her.

Miorine’s response was simple: With a well-tuned hiss, she warned the man to stay away. He pulled back and all three humans chuckled at her reaction as if it meant nothing.

Though Dell did insist on holding Miorine right after, “I’ll calm her down,” he reached to take the Siamese from his wife, but Miorine took this chance to escape from their grasps.

Wiggling herself to freedom as she ran into the open concept kitchen and climbed the highest cup boards in the pantry. Peering out with hatred in her eyes at the two for placing her under such a stressful situation. Praying to herself that this old man wasn’t here to rent out the spare room they had vacant.

“She has character,” the sickly man pulled out a feather toy he had tucked away in his chairs side pocket and began wiggling it at his feet to bait her closer, but to no avail, “I’m sure my Shaddiq will get her to open up. They don’t call him the Casanova of the Zenelli household for nothing.”

‘Casanova?’ Miorine thought, now paying close attention to this upsetting conversation.

“It’s like I keep telling Dell. If we wait too long for Miorine to have her kittens, then we’ll only be endangering her life.”

“… I just think she’s too young,” Dell truly just hated the idea of another cat touching his baby girl.

The old man nodded along, “Yes, its why I stuck with males,” he wheezed a coughing laugh before clearing his throat to speak, “Ah, you said she was five years old, correct?”

“Yes,” Notrette sighed.

“A bit old, isn’t she?”

Dell thinned his lips as his wife explained why they had waited so long to try again. He saw no reason to interject as any of his own opinions would ruin this breeding opportunity.

Notrette assuring their guest that they had taken Miorine to the vet and her doctor had cleared them for kittens, “So she’s healthy. Miorine is just very… picky. We were going to give up, but then she seemed to socialize so well with one of our tenant’s adorable Maine coon,” she brought out her phone and began searching her gallery, “She had the most brilliant red coat I’ve ever seen. It’s a shame her owner spayed her so early,” she showed him the images of when Suletta would rest on her lap, “And her eyes! The most gorgeous pair of blue too.”

“It really is a shame,” the sickly guest agreed, “A waste of good genes. Your tenant should have bred her at least once.”

“Right?” Miorine’s maid put her phone away as they went back to discussing business, “Ever since then, Miorine’s gotten rather soft. She’s clingier than normal, she even watches the street cats play around in our yard as if saying ‘Guys let me join in!’,” she laughed at her own interpretation of things, “In fact, I caught her howling a few times within the week. I think she might be going into her heat soon.”

Dell coughed into his closed fist, “As you can see, we think this might be our only chance to get her to pair well with a fine gentleman.”

Miorine scuffled at the assumptions. She wasn’t screaming for other cats! It was only one time and it was a moment of weakness when she cried out for Suletta. And all those other acts they claim she did weren’t related to anything else other than boredom!

“Well, I must say she is absolutely more than the pictures show. I would be happy to bring Shaddiq whenever she’s ready to receive him. Of course, with the expectations that I acquire one of her kittens.”

That’s when it finally hit Miorine. All that pregnancy talk, all that prepping for babies, it wasn’t for Notrette Rembran…

It was for her.

Miorine had heard enough.

Lost in thought as she tuned out their conversation. Their laughter mocking her as she tried to regulate herself from the panic attack creeping upon her thanks to this alarming plan. She needed to escape. She needed to run. She needed Suletta.

The outside world paralyzing her, yet she couldn’t sit still and watch them bring in another male cat. Just remembering all those times Miorine had fought them off, how they tried to flirt and mount her as if she were cheap. She shivered at the thought. When Suletta was here those disgusting arrangements stopped, it would only make sense that they would start again once she was gone.

She needed to escape! Miorine would never go back to hiding under the bed or finishing deathly battles against these beastly cats to protect herself.

Hyperventilating due to the memories, Miorine calmed herself.

There was no point in having such an extreme reaction without a proper plan. Besides, she had dealt with them before and she’s always fought them away successfully. Taking a moment to collect her thoughts, Miorine had only one option left. The obvious and most outrageous escape: The front door.

It was simple and blameless since her servants would only have themselves to blame for letting her out. Once outside, Miorine would scale up to the roof and retrace Suletta’s steps in hopes of finding she lived only a few roof tops away.

Yes! Her plan was flawless. She squinted her eyes conniving towards the humans as she quietly got down. She needed to time her speed perfectly since Miorine knew she only had one attempt.

As Notrette got the door for their guest, Miorine creeped behind them gradually. Approaching the three silently, staying low, to get the best chance possible.

“Miorine,” Dell spotted her too quickly as he reached down for her. Fearing she might run away, he tried to grab her before it was too late.

Miorine didn’t let him. Jumping out of his range as Notrette cracked the door open. The commotion between Miorine and her butler being enough to grant her enough room to escape. Passing through their feet and dodging the wheel chair, Miorine was a free cat.

“Miorine!” Notrette gasped with the door flying wide open. The chase was on, but Miorine had no intentions of returning.

‘Freedom! Scary freedom!’ Miorine laughed as she zoomed straight forward.

Miorine had only ever seen the outside world through the windows of her castle. Her pupils enlarging as her senses were overwhelmed by the wilds. This wasn’t like her home: There was smells all over, noise in every direction, things she’d never seen now up close and personal.

It suddenly became all too overwhelming for her to handle as Miorine lost her sense of direction. Her paw’s advancing indiscriminately as she lost sight of her objective. Tail fluffed, ears back, Miorine ran onto the road in her daze. The blasting of an incoming car spooked her motionless as Miorine watched in horror as a silver dull bumper halted inches away from her face.

The impact never came, but Miorine was frozen.

Luckily, Notrette had caught up. Lifting Miorine into her arms and squishing her tightly to her chest, “This is why we stay inside,” she cooed, petting and assuring her cat that she was safe.

Dell apologizing to the driver as he pulled them into his own arms to provide unnecessary protection, “You’re ok now, it’s alright.”

“She’s a fast one,” Their guest chuckled as his driver came over to help him into his car, “I’ll see you on Saturday then.”

With her little stunt becoming a moments fright, the maid answered back, “Yes, if she doesn’t run away first,” joking away the unpleasant experience.

Miorine returning home safe and sound.

Chapter 3: Wait For Me!

Chapter Text

“This is why I’m always telling you to keep her inside,” Prospera, mother of Ericht and grandmama to Suletta, was sitting by the red Maine coon’s nursery bed. Rubbing her head and scratching the back of her ears as Suletta purred from her gentle touch. The redhead feline had been dying to touch her ears since the cone of shame was placed on her, “You’re lucky that Mr. Jeturk was home or else who knows what would have happened.”

For the one hundredth time, Ericht was being guilt trapped into converting Suletta into an indoor cat, “You know reminding me over and over again isn’t going to make this go away,” She went into her fridge, pulling out the proscribed medication for Suletta’s leg injury, “I already feel bad without you reminding me.”

Taking the pill and mixing it within the wet food to disguised the doses since Suletta had masterfully been avoiding taking them. Satisfied by the masking, she brought the bowl to Suletta’s eating area in the connecting kitchen. Knocking on the dish to signal food was ready.

Hearing lunch, Suletta rose from her bed and began to limp to her bowl. The meds had been doing wonders to her wound by dulling the pain around her back leg. It also helped with the few healed cuts on her face and her tender limbs that were recovering from her attack. Her wrapped right hind leg, having been mulled by a vicious dog on her way back from Miorine’s, was on the fast track of recovery thanks to all these meals Ericht had been giving her.

“What are you doing!?” Prospera darted ahead of the other. Grabbing her bowl of food and bringing it closer to Suletta, so she wouldn’t have to limp so far away, “Are you trying to open her wounds??”

Ericht was really starting to get annoyed by her mother’s constant interference, “I just wanted her to get a little bit of exercise.”

“You could hurt her!” and Prospera sat beside Suletta. Petting the poor baby on her back as she waited for her granddaughter to enjoy her lunch.

Suletta, having to dive into the bowl thanks to her cone, practically scarfed the wet food with a wolf like demeanor. Making it disappear under the cone’s diametrical shape as the sounds of her munching indicated to the two that she was eating.

“It’s been a whole week,” Ericht argued, “The vet said it was safe for her to walk around for a bit. And Suletta just wants to play, but you’ve been keeping her on her bed this whole time.”

“Because playing is dangerous!”

“I swear, sometimes I think you care about her more than me,” Ericht checked her wristwatch. Unlike her mother, she had work to physically attend.

“Don’t compare yourself to her. Suletta doesn’t have a voice and it’s up to us to make sure she’s being heard,” and Prospera cooed at the maine coon, “Isn’t that right, my little baby-wavy.”

Suletta meowed with gusto as she licked her lips from the grains that had splattered all over her.

“Whatever. I have to go to my part-time, can I trust you to make sure she does take her medicine?”

“Of course.”

Suletta licked her bowl clean. Successfully avoiding the bitter pill coated in artificial sweetener as she lifted her messy face up. Licking away the foods laying on her whiskers and nose as Prospera went into the kitchen and grabbed her some leftover gravy.

Suletta meowed in delight as Prospera gave her some extra treats. This time not realizing that she had eaten the pill as she cleaned her plate.

“Good girl,” Prospera sighed, “Now get some rest,” Unlike her daughter, Prospera had the privilege of working online. Pulling out her laptop, she placed herself on the kitchen table to be able to keep an eye on her, “I got work to do, but if you need anything just call,” she spoke as if Suletta would understand.

Suletta did, but didn’t give her any sort of acknowledgement. She instead limped her way to the apartments screen door to view today’s sky.

Licking her lips again as she stared out into the city with an ache in her heart. Now that the excitement of lunch was over, Suletta found herself thinking about one thing: Miorine. She couldn’t imagine how worried her darling must be having failed her appointment. Her mind often filled with what-ifs: What if Miorine didn’t want to see her? What if she had forgotten her? What if she was dying of worry?

Suletta finding it strange to feel pain throbbing in her chest even though her injury was at her leg. Strengthening with every intrusive thought that pledged her into misery with imaginary Miorine’s being disappointed in her. She would rather Miorine forget her, to curse her, to hate her than to be the cause of her worrying. But what could she do? Suletta was stuck inside until Ericht decided to finally remove her cone and her leg brace.

She was trapped. Physically trapped within the indoor life style she hated the most.

Suddenly the sound of dogs barking below the apartment complex, shook Suletta into a panic wake. Ears propped backwards, body trembling, as she reminded herself that she was safe within her home. There were no dogs here. Trying to force herself to relax, Suletta flopped herself to her side. Laying on her good leg as she scooted her front paws into herself, allowing the sounds of dogs to flow pass her.

Thinking of dogs, Suletta had to think of a proper gift for Guel. If it wasn’t for his quick bravado, Suletta didn’t want to imagine what could have happened to her. Closing her eyes, Suletta couldn’t imagine any chance of escape without him. It had all happened so fast too, even if she were to have remained calm, Suletta had no options. Just recalling that day made her want to hide under the couch in shame.

Afterall, it should have been an uneventful trip back home. Once she was done leaving behind the slim jim in Guel’s care, Suletta had hopped on his wooden fence. Her sudden weight had always wiggled the whole structure, but this time she had missed stepped and slipped onto the street sidewalk.

Right in plain view of a dog walker.

All dogs went berserk and before the holder could do anything, a few of the bigger dogs went loose and chased Suletta. The redhead screaming for help as Guel acted fast at the approaching pack. He destroyed his precious wooden fence to let Suletta in from underneath a weakened part as he barked for her to get in quickly. Suletta dove in at his command and weaseled her way in before one of the dogs grabbed her leg and began to shake her aggressively. Pulling her back out as Guel howled and foamed at his mouth for them to back off. Only able to alert his master, who ran out from his home to check on Guel after hearing such deathening cries of pain. From the other side of the fence, the dog walker and other civilians pulled back the dogs.

Forced to let go, the dog’s thirsty fixation for the cat’s blood drove them to cuss at the wounded Suletta. Howling for her to cry and threatening to kill her once they were free again.

Guel cursing them back in her defense as he paced his fence border with animalist need to protect at any given cost.

Suletta managing to enter Guel’s safe zone with a mingled leg as Mr. Jeturk began screaming at the dog walker for their lack of proper control. What was discussed or agreed on by the humans, Suletta doesn’t know. All she remembers was being swatted in a blanket, Guel’s concern face, and taking a ride in Mr. Jeturk’s car. The older man dumping her at some random vet, who were nice enough to check her for an ownership chip during her operation.

And now here she was, with lingering memories and an unnatural borne fear of unknown dogs.

Suletta grumbled. She wished she could just tear off her cone and find Miorine. She felt the other would know the right words to make her brave again. And Suletta was sure Miorine would forgive her lateness as long as she gave Miorine her best pout and offered up her warmth.

She couldn’t help the smile growing on her lips as she imagined Miorine reacting to her story, “What are you doing? Why didn’t you beat those dogs up?” and Suletta would rub her cheeks all over her and promise that next time she would deliver them to their mothers.

Oh, how great would that be if this was all true? Suletta perked her ears, smile turning into a frown, as she whooshed her tail. Knowing very well that Miorine was roof tops away for them to ever meet again if she didn’t get her cone removed.

Just as she had begun to fidget the corners of her imprisonment with her good back leg, Suletta stopped. Slowly lowering it with resignation. Even if she did free herself, there was no way she would be able to climb anything with her condition. And there was also a little bit of worry that Miorine wouldn’t want to see her in such a laughable state.

Suletta sighed as she laid her head down. Still staring out into the world with momentary defeat. Asking out loud, “What are you doing now, Miorine?”

Miorine was like a boiling kettle without it’s whistle. The coal fueling her rage were her servants. Afterall, she wouldn’t be currently watching her servant’s ideal male cat rubbing his scent all over her floors without their approval. A repulsive act of war in her eyes, mind you, as she glared from above her precious cat tree that was located right next to one of the front windows.

But the fire that roared her into silent rage was Suletta. She had failed to report back after promising she’d only ever be gone for a week. And a week had gone by with no word. Now Miorine had a new mission: Forget about reuniting with her lover to hopefully runaway and live happily ever after. Now, she wanted to fight Suletta and make her regret ever playing with her innocent heart.

But before that she needed to escape from the guest room, a space her servants had cleared-out for a potential future tenant. The only things still visibly present was the unused wooden four drawer chests, Ericht’s previous single mattress, and a cat house belonging to Suletta that was left for her to inherit for the meantime. This said cat house, providing her an obstacle to distance herself from the male cat below her and giving her access to her gateway exit.

The other Siamese cat, a friendly match from those previous egg heads, was doing his best to seduce her. Performing a dance, showing Miorine his vulnerable belly and neck, as he continued to rub himself on the carpet. Miorine ignoring him, but never once letting her guard down as he slowly approached her.

“You know this is a team effort, right?” His coat was sandy blonde by nature, his red collar unflattering to his neck rolls as he rotated back onto his feet.

Miorine scuffled at the chubby cat. Judging him harshly for his weight when she compared his pathetic state to Suletta’s fit form. In fact, Suletta was also bigger and stronger. If she were here, Miorine knew he wouldn’t stand a chance.

“You’d enjoy it,” He began rubbing his nose against the cat trees legs, “I’ve been told I’m a very sensual lover and my kids love me,” trying to advertise himself in the same way he had won over other stubborn cats.

Miorine rolled her eyes, “Don’t care.”

“Have you even tried it?” he got on his hind legs, front paws testing to see if he would be allowed to climb the levels.

“Why would I even want to?!” Miorine hissed, standing up with her hairs raised in fighting readiness.

Shaddiq shrugged, “Why not?” Sensing he should try being a bit slower.

“If I did, it wouldn’t be with you.”

Hearing this, Shaddiq gave a mighty laugh. This time rolling on his back with amusement rather than seduction, “Oh! You have someone you like. That explains why you aren’t budging! Hahahah, what kind of cat is he? Does he even know you’re here with me?” a teasing grin on his face, “Does he even care?”

Miorine gave a haughty hiss, “SHE doesn’t know! And I never agree to this either,” and Miorine eyed the window next to the tree house. Thinking back to when Suletta would often show her how she managed to open the panel.

“She?”

“You have a problem with that.”

“Of course not,” and Shaddiq sat where he had failed. Staring up at Miorine who had moved onto the window sill, “Awfully cruel of fate to do that to you. Can’t imagine how it must feel to be in love with another female cat.”

“Oh, shut up,” And Miorine kept him talking long enough for her to crack the window open, “We don’t need your pity.”

“But how do you know you really love her?”

Miorine pulling the window up with all her strength, the cold winds of the afternoon sweeping in at her short success. The gap wasn’t large enough for her to walk out from, but she could definitely weasel her way through it.

“I’d say, lets give it a try. If you don’t like it then we won’t continue.”

“Who would want a low-quality worm like you?” Miorine spatting on insults, “Keep your inferior, sweaty, deformed paws away from me.”

His patience gone as Shaddiq was done playing nice, “Calm down there, princess,” Shaddiq wanting to play a cruel trick on her, “I’m just saying humans only recognize our mates when we can deliver kittens.”

“Don’t you think I know that?”

“So why don’t you have them?” his smirk losing all of its friendliness, “That’s right you can’t. Because two felines can never.”

“Suletta and me are different,” Miorine defended their relationship as he moved right below her. Remaining one jump away from being within her personal bubble, “I know we’ll have them. We… we’ve just been avoiding talking about it,” since that would require them to talk about mating.

Shaddiq exploded with roars of laughter. Miorine was done entertaining him as she squeezed herself out of the window, rolling her eyes as Shaddiq continued to laugh at her relationship. Blocking out his annoying snickers, she faced the wilds again.

This time steeling herself for her embarkment as she fought hard not to be overwhelmed by the commotions of the wilds. Shaking herself back into focus, Miorine searched around the front home’s perimeters for signs of her servants. Seeing the coast was clear, she considered her best options to get to the roof. Ultimately deciding on the gutter pipe stationed right by the window’s side.

Eventually she started shimming upwards. Just in time for Shaddiq to notice she had made her escape. He leaped on the sill and called to her, bewildered she had dared to go outside. Popping his head out from the crack as he meowed, “Miorine!!” Not risking his own safety to bring her in, “Come back! It’s not safe for us out there!!”

Miorine could feel her heart hammering on the aluminum pipe as she did her best to get to the top. Her perfectly clipped claws, damaged with filth by her stunt as she carefully struggled onto the top of her home. Taking a chance to take a peek down, Miorine felt her world circling around her at the new view.

Maybe it would have been enchanting if Suletta was with her, but now wasn’t the time to debate whether the outside world was beautiful. Miorine focused on her goal: To find Suletta and give her a piece of her mind for abandoning her for so long. That’s right, her future confrontation with Suletta was keeping her calm as she inched her way under the attics window.

Readying herself as she faced her new path. A path she had often seen Suletta take many times before and now it was hers to trail, “W-Wait for me!” Miorine proclaimed to her phantom lover, “I’ll find you and make you pay for making me wait!!”

Chapter Text

“FOR SSSSUULLLLEEETTTTTAAAAAAAAA!!!” Miorine screeched as she hastily sprinted onward with tears at the corners of her eyes, while swatting at the humans surrounding her.

She had long since forsaken the safety of the rooftops after ungracefully falling into Guel’s backyard thanks to some moss thriving on the tile. Luckily for her the Doberman was a friend of Suletta’s and upon hearing her rant offered to take her to Suletta’s territory. A much-needed aid yet Miorine would insist she could have done it on her own.

Speaking of being able to do it alone, Miorine once again had agitated her senses after encountering pairs of unknown humans that tried to rescue the “needy kitty” whatever that meant. Avoiding blindly their interference, Miorine sprinted through bushes with mouthfuls of leaf’s, clumsily colliding with stationed trash bins to then hastily dart toward a new direction. Only to end up on the highest tree branch of some oak tree placed within the surrounding park.

Clinging to the tree branch for dear life, Miorine ignored the Doberman that was tracking her down. Guel, with his chain leash danglingly behind him, tried to calm her down, “What the hell are you doing?!” His barks being taken as a threat to everyone but the Siamese.

“I-I changed my mind,” Miorine trembled uncontrollably, “G-Go get Suletta. I’ll wait here.”

“Are you nuts?!?”

“You said she doesn’t live far,” her voice quivering as she tried to regulate her breathing, “So. Go get her.”

Guel sighed deeply, bringing his rear end slamming to the ground with a frustrating seat. Glaring up at the white fur ball, double guessing his offer to help, as he wondered how a brave cat like Suletta could wind up with such a cowardly partner.

“Didn’t you say you wanted to surprise her?” He tried to motivate her to continue.

“And.”

“And?!” Guel almost leaped back onto his four paws with her surrendering tone. He couldn’t let her chicken out now, so he thought up a plan to get her back down, “She’s just right over there.”

Miorine didn’t buy it. Instead looking down on Guel with all of its implications, which irritated the dog as he insisted Suletta was nearby.

“I’m serious she lives there! This is literally where she lives,” He tried again, “Do you want to see her or not?”

“Really?” Miorine felt herself retracking her claws as she climbed down slowly with unclear doubt, “W-Why didn’t you say so?!” she acted tough, grooming her face with her paw to make sure she looked presentable for Suletta.

Guel didn’t give her a chance to debate his truth hood! Acting with speed he obtained by hunting squirrels Guel snipped a bite along the back of Miorine’s neck, right below her collar. Obtaining a good whole on her neck fat, Guel stood with his full height and began the journey to Suletta.

Miorine seemed completely surprised by the sudden attack as she dangled from the dog’s mouth in paralyzing fear, “I-I’m going to die,” Miorine meowed, her body going limp with acceptance, “Suletta’s stupid dog friend is going to kill me.”

Guel ignored her as he scampered along ignoring the sounds of awe from the public. He could only hope things would get a lot easier once he got the delicate princess home.

“She’s… probably in a rough condition. Go easy on her, alright?” Were Guel’s final words to Miorine before she scaled up the apartment complex with borrowed ruggedness.

Ignoring the weird advice, Miorine felt her spirits were renewed at the thought of seeing her love once more. She couldn’t help but imagine what sort of face Suletta would make when she saw her: Would she be mad? Flustered? Happy? Miorine giggled away as she struggled to get to the second floor. Ascending the outer walls of these unkept apartments to approach her first balcony. Miorine scrambled onto its flat safe surface and peered into the habitants living space. There were no signs of Suletta, so she began to climb to the next balcony and so on and so on till her legs began to ache.

Her patience draining with every incorrect choice, unused to hardships, as she erupted on her sixth balcony with annoyance and exhaustion. Miorine emanating a low growl as she gazed into the empty living room of some old lady’s home. Seeing some creature with a cone for a head laying asleep in front of the sofa only made Miorine want to harass it.

Who knows? Maybe they also knew where Suletta lived. Miorine began pawing on the glass sliding door, “Hey! You!!” she meowed with a tingle of hiss. Scratching clean glass, smudging its surface with her sweaty paws, and spatting at the injured cat. It’s owner barely missing the new intruder when the older woman left to use the restroom, “HEY!!” Miorine demanded attention as if this were her apartment.

Lamely, surprising herself by the sudden jolt of the Maine coon, who sprung onto her paws and quickly turned to face off with Miorine. Miorine couldn’t help her natural defenses that awoke when their eyes met. Her white fur springing tall along her spine, she turned on her side to appear even bigger with a yodeling battle cry that Suletta found unimpressive as the red cat approached the glass.

Fighting instincts heighten urge to match energies before it dawned on Suletta who was behind the glass.

“M-Miorine?!” And Suletta crumbled into a needy kitten with hunger to be adored by her love, “Miorine!” she whined as she pawed the window with longing cries.

“D-Do I know you?” Miorine took a step back, ears flat on her head in case it was a trick, with eyes trying to figure out why the cone cat seemed familiar.

“Miorine,” Suletta slid down onto her stomach with tears in her eyes at being unrecognized, “It’s me,” she yowled with pain in her growl, “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten me already,” and Suletta began to cry.

There was no mistaking her loves voice now, “S-Suletta?!” and Miorine hurried to her side, bumping into the glass that she momentarily forgot existed. Ignoring the pain, she pawed in return at the divider with all her strength, “What happened to you?!” she then thought back to Guel’s strange warning, “Did that Doberman do this to you??” she was furious, “I’ll go teach him a lesson right now! I’ll avenge you!!” and Miorine ran to the edge of the balcony to see where Guel was resting.

Unsurprisingly, Guel had gone home, “Miorine!” Suletta called her back, “So you didn’t forget about me?” she was completely submissive. Head down, ears lowered, tail tucked between her legs, and pupils large that warned Miorine they couldn’t handle another rejection.

“O-Of course not, idiot!” Miorine went back to the window with a swift turnaround. This time digging her nails at the corners of the door to try and pull them open, “Suletta, why won’t the door open!” she needed to touch her, to nuzzle noses, to hear Suletta’s breathing chest that would assure her that the other was alive.

“Miorine, do you see that window above the railing?”

And Miorine saw the opening that was a bit of a free jump away, “Yeah.”

“Can you make that jump?”

Miorine swallowed back the no that would have spilled by her will of preservation, “Yeah, easy!” she gloated in front of her love as if Suletta didn’t already find her majestically brave.

“I’ll meet you there,” and Suletta waddled to Ericht’s bedroom, passing Prospera returning to work with her tail sprung up in delight.

Meanwhile Miorine climbed the railing and warmed up upon the small space. She had a few false starts before surprising herself by making the extremely long jump, which was in reality just a few inches away from the balcony’s rail. Heart accelerated by her stunt, Miorine didn’t care how she landed inside Suletta’s home as she tumbled in. Falling on her back upon a pile of dirty clothes, to her disgust, before shaking the adrenaline off.

Digging herself out, Miorine wasn’t prepared for Suletta to tackle her back into it, “Miorine! Miorine! Miorine!” Suletta cooed as if her name were the words for ‘I love you,’ Suletta doing her best to rub her long-faded scent all over Miorine.

Her cone denying her that complete satisfaction, but Miorine hadn’t traveled long and far to be denied of it either. She in turn, rubbed herself all over Suletta. Her purrs roaring hungrily for Suletta’s velvety texture, drooling unintentionally while she greedily squished all of herself into the red Maine coon.

Suletta shivering at her lovers ravishing of her body, it made Suletta lose her mind and almost dare to instinctually drag Miorine underneath her and… do what exact? Suletta felt her face burning at the hypothetical imagination.

“What happened to you?!” Miorine snapped out of her indulgence. Asking once again once it was clear that Suletta was there with her physically.

Suletta gave a soft laugh, “Its… actually a funny story.”

“That wasn’t a funny story at all!” Miorine and Suletta sat jointly on Ericht’s messy bed, both leaning on one another for that comforting weighted pressure. Miorine, who had helped Suletta upon the bed, was whooshing her tail around at the other’s attempts at minimizing the traumatic event, “You could have been gravely hurt! You could have-!” She held back the next words that rested on her tongue: Could have died.

Suletta whimpered all knowingly. She had also spent the first few days back from the vet agonizing over her close call, “I know…”

Even worse, Miorine hated hearing Suletta resound with so much defeated vibrato. Guilt was the fast emotion that clicked in Miorine’s head. Blaming herself for being unable to protect Suletta in the same way she had always done for her. If only she had been stronger!! Is the sort of reprimanding Miorine gave herself as if Suletta’s injuries were the results of her actions.

“Miorine,” And as if reading her mind, Suletta sooth her guilt, “You went through a lot of trouble to get here. Hehe you’re sort of like my personal knight,” she softly spoke, the smile evident in her warm tone, “Coming to get me all by yourself, hehe Miorine.”

“It was no big deal,” Miorine fought back the fluttering of her heart. Suletta’s words reminding her that she had indeed defied her servants, fought against a lousy male pursuiter, travestied the wilds outside her castle, and teamed up with a disgusting dog just to see her Suletta. Though Suletta didn’t need to know Guel had helped, “You went missing, I had to find you.”

Suletta was overwhelmingly enchanted, giggling away at the valiant persona Miorine displayed just for her. Her sheepish reactions doing wonders to Miorine’s ego as she purred with tranquility.

“So did anything new happen with you?” The cone spoke up again, finding she’d miss a whole week of Miorine’s life thanks to the attack.

“Well…” Miorine debated telling her of Shaddiq, but ultimately went ahead and confessed since there wasn’t any good reason to lie.

“No way!” Suletta was on her paws, turning herself around in favor of getting a good look at Miorine, “Did he touch you?!” She wanted to clean Miorine, but the cone was in her way yet again. Instead, she kept pressing the cone into Miorine’s body with resolve to clean, “I’m going to go over there and give him a piece of my mind!!” Suletta whined as she licked Miorine sloppily, “Right after I get rid of his scent!!” Which Miorine didn’t carry since she had been careful.

“You won’t threaten anyone like this,” Miorine pushed Suletta back on the bed. Placing herself over the other like a blanket to keep her down. All Suletta saw after being forced to lay on her side was Miorine’s back side and tail twitching lightly, “Just sit back and relax… there will be plenty of time for you to fight him once your healed.”

“Promise?”

Miorine snorted, “Yeah,” and Miorine curled herself into Suletta’s back. Resting her head along Suletta’s nape, forming a sort of crescent snuggle, “Hey.”

“What’s up?”

“Do you think if we had kittens… that we’ll be allowed to live together again?”

“M-Miorine!!” And the Siamese leaned back into Suletta to prevent her from lifting herself up.

“Answer the question stupid!” Miorine felt as if her heart would beat itself out of her chest if this continued on, “Or… do you not want to have any kittens with me?”

“O-OF COURSE I DO!” Suletta wiggled against Miorine’s combine weight and intentional mighty pinning with no leeway out of it, “I do! I’ve always wanted to have kittens with you, Miorine.”

“Then why did you never bring it up?”

“I wanted to!!” Momentarily giving up, Suletta huffed a breath of mixed dissatisfaction. Deciding it was finally time to reveal her hidden worries to Miorine, “But you told me about all those times you were being force to try… I wanted to wait for the right time to ask you… if you wanted to have them… with me.”

“Who else would I want them with, if not you?” Miorine felt awfully greedy as she grinned at Suletta’s gentle consideration.

Miorine felt something new awaken at the center of her heart and pit of her stomach. This was very different from the time Suletta told her she liked her, even more intense than the day Suletta proposed a forever union with her. This sensation ignited her whole body, her ears twitching with heat, her very soul calling for Suletta as if she weren’t laying on her.

“Miorine?” Even under such pitiful conditions, Suletta called out to her with such care and adoration as if Miorine was the one bedridden and in need of recovery.

“Let’s have them.”

“Excuse me?”

“Let’s have them, Suletta,” Miorine could only follow her instinctual urge to choose her.

“Oh,” seconds passing the couple before Suletta jolted at the implication, “EH!??! RIGHT NOW??!”

“If we don’t do it now, then I might not ever get to see you again,” Miorine wouldn’t lie that almost losing Suletta had also given her the coercion to unify them officially through spawns.

Once they had their kittens then her servants nor Suletta’s family could ever deny what they had was real: Real love. Miorine rose from her place above Suletta, the other in complete chaos with her babbling on about wanting to and waiting for a better time. It didn’t mean anything to Miorine as she placed her behind right in front of Suletta’s face.

Her stomach tingled with anticipation as she rose her tail in provocation, “Are you going to do it or not,” She almost killed herself for having spoken such distasteful words out loud. Closing her eyes tight as she listened for Suletta’s next move. A difficult task since her own pulse drowned out everything around her.

Suletta’s touch had transformed into something unrecognizable once she had placed her paws on Miorine’s delicate back. The Maine coons kneading with unpracticed instruction, hitching Miorine’s breath as Suletta worked her way above her. Suletta’s fur overstimulating her like never before as Suletta’s exhalations resounded amidst the intoxication blooming among them.

Everything was going perfectly.

All except Suletta’s cone that ruined the moment as she struggled to mount Miorine properly.

The cone hitting Miorine’s head back and forth before Suletta flopped on her side with losing determination to continue, “I-I’m sorry!” Suletta felt the world spinning around. Feeling like a loser for having failed one simple task thanks to her condition, “Maybe, this can wait till after my cone comes off,” she sat back up with embarrassment.

Miorine didn’t know if there could be a next time, though it could have just been her primal needs taking priority as she looked back at Suletta, “Then let me.”

“Huh?”

“I’ll get you pregnant,” Miorine’s insufferable aching commanding her to take the lead, “Just hold still,” her voice hoarse as she maneuvered behind the other.

Suletta nodded, her own yearning enacting her to submit upon Miorine’s request with frightening speed. They were both trembling from the awakening experience, the new form of love they were about to create together sending them to further devotion. The ecstatic volts that sparkled at the new sensations, the way they were drowning within each other’s reactions. Unable to pay the outside world anymore attention as their lust blinded them to everything but each other.

Miorine was stationed right on top of Suletta, Suletta’s tail being pushed aside, Miorine pinning her to the bed, “Are you ready?”

Suletta nodded with bashful eagerness.

The bed began to move by the command of their unity.

“I’m home!” Ericht came through the door as her mother greeted her. She looked to the living space and found her precious little kitty cat missing, “Did you feed Suletta her night time medicine?” Ericht assuming Suletta was in the kitchen eating.

Prospera was holding the bowl of wet food, “I was just about to bring it to her,” Prospera having stumbled upon the same problem as Ericht, she couldn’t find Suletta. She tapped the bowl in hopes it would bring her out from wherever she was hiding in the space, “Suletta!” but there was no stumbling paw steps to be heard, “Suletta?” and the pair shared a look.

“Suletta!” Ericht checked Suletta’s favorite spots to hid in the living room, “Did she move to another room?” And Prospera went to check the bathroom.

Having no choice but to check her bedroom, Ericht pushed open her door to find a white cat mounting her injured baby, “S-Suletta!!” She choked at their stunt. Running to grabbed the sex-offending cat and pull her off her child, “WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?” Adrenaline kicking in as this strange cat latch itself onto Suletta with a frustrated yodel and chomp to Suletta’s nape, “MOM!!”

“SULETTA!!??” Prospera went into panic mode.

This newly acquired state of fear equipped her with speeds and intelligence greater than her daughter. Prospera grabbed Suletta’s vet crate and open the lid for Ericht to toss the cat in once it was pulled off the Maine coon. Tag teaming this intruder as if they were experience wildlife agents, the Siamese cat was apprehended. Releasing a sigh of relief, Prospera dropped the crate and ran to cuddle what she believed would be a traumatized Suletta.

“My poor baby!” Prospera picked her up and soothed her.

Ericht was trying to come down from her earlier hysteria by placing one hand over her heart. She steadied her panic attack before taking a look at the hissing intruder now trapped behind bars, “How on earth did you get inside?” she kneeled to get a better look at the menace.

Suletta mistaking her curiosity as a threat immediately went into action. Kicking Prospera off her and falling to the floor with a pain yelp. Ignoring the ache to get between Ericht and Miorine with an uncharacterized hiss that warned Ericht not to get close.

Ericht was startled by her new aggression, “What’s gotten into you?”

“Ericht, you don’t think this tom cat was the reason Suletta is always trying to get out?”

Suletta meowed as if answering for herself. The two humans sharing a flabbergasted confusion as Suletta pawed to free her lover, “Let’s not do that,” Ericht pulled Suletta away in time to see an all too familiar collar on Miorine’s neck, “Wait a minute… Miorine?!”

Miorine meowed lowly at her. Almost seeming as if she were calling her a dumbass.

Scratching her head, Ericht was trying to rationalize everything in her head. So, the male cat that was mounting Suletta turned out to be her ex-renter’s FEMALE cat. Those concluding that her cat was having a love affair with their female cat this whole time. Meaning Suletta, her adorable little goofball that never shown romantic interest in other cats, was indeed a lesbian. A lesbian cat.

“Somehow this makes me more upset,” Ericht sighed at the fact that her cat had a better romantic life than hers, “Alright, I’m going to give the Rembran’s a call.”

And just like that Miorine was returned to her rightful owners. Problem solved or at least Ericht thought that would be the end of these matters. Much like the Rembran’s, who began to take extra precautions to deal with Miorine’s suddenly rebellious behavior. Both assumed that their stunts were merely because Miorine’s heat pained her to seek Suletta and Suletta’s submissive nature allowed herself to be bullied by Miorine.

Both families couldn’t have been more wrong. In the weeks that followed Miorine was a reoccurring face in Ericht’s apartment and vice versa for the Rembran’s with Suletta once she was completely healed.

“We can’t keep doing this!” Ericht had begged Suletta, who was caged up on the countertop inside the Rembran home.

Dell had been furious at first, but now was mellowing out at their persistence to be together, “I’ve taken Miorine to the vet for an overall health review and spaying, I’ve hired a pet whisper, and I’ve even hired a psychic,” he was more upset at himself for being unable to understand Miorine and what brought her happiness, “They all tell me she’s just in love with your cat.”

“I could have told you that for free,” Ericht sighed.

Nortrette elbowed her husband to get him to spill their new resolution of their cat’s Romeo and Juliet situation. Dell nodding to his wife before meeting Ericht’s questioning look.

“Right,” he cleared his throat, “So now that’s it has come to this, we have a proposition for you.”

Ericht didn’t like the sound of that, “Oh, what is it?”

“We want Miorine to be happy… just like I imagine you want Suletta happy too.”

“Naturally.”

“And it seems like being together makes them happy,” His business persona always being an imposing glare, which often helped settled deals and agreements, “So we’ll buy your cat off you, how much do you want for her?”

“Excuse me?”

“I think what my husband is trying to say,” Nortrette interjected to explain their most favorable plan, “We can’t continue picking up our cats forever. So why not give them a permanent home, together?”

“If that’s the case then give me yours.”

“Why you little!” Dell took a step forward as Nortrette quickly got in between them, “Let’s calm down dear!” she warned.

“I guess we really are in a pickle,” Ericht sighed for the one hundredth time, “It would be so easy for them if they were living together again.”

All three fell silent as they watched their cats flirt right in front of them. Miorine poking her nose inside the cage and Suletta returning the small kiss with gusto. Seeing such an innocent show of love reminded them that they had to be considerate of all sides. It was obvious that they just wanted their cat’s to be happy.

Biting the bullet Dell tried again with the least favorable proposal, “Let’s do a jointed custody. Even though I would rather keep Miorine safe and sound here, where I can guarantee her health, I am willing to allow her to go over to your home. When and if she makes her way over there.”

There was really nothing Ericht could do as well if she wanted to protect Suletta’s romantic life, “I’ll also be leaving Suletta under your care too… when she’s lurking here.”

Now that they had custody battles done with, there was only one final issue to discuss. And that was the horror that both cat parents had stumbled upon whenever they’d catch their fur babies together: Their humping.

“Luckily for us, I have a solution that I’m sure no one will disagree with,” and Nortrette pulled up her phone to show Ericht her solution, “What do you think?”

Ericht twitched at the screen’s context, “And… I’m sure you’ll be paying for this?”

Suletta was back home from another job well done. Resting up by curling into her favorite bed laid near the sliding doors, Suletta praised herself for another hard day trying for kittens. Stretching herself out among the cushion, she wondered if she should go to Miorine’s again or wait for her love instead. Deciding she could use a bit of rest before going over, Suletta found herself falling victim to the sun’s rays.

Falling asleep under the spell binding warmth, Suletta didn’t notice Ericht stepping out. Awakening with a spooked surprised when Ericht open the front door and called out to Suletta. Suletta’s nose twitched at the unfamiliar scent oozing out from the box in Ericht’s arms. Her mom bringing the strange box into the living room for Suletta to investigate.

“Look Suletta,” Ericht open the top and Suletta peered inside to find five little kittens. They were huddling against one another for warmth, three sharing Suletta’s coat color while the other two looked just like Miorine, “What do you think, Suletta?”

Suletta didn’t waste any time jumping in. Her instincts told her these were kittens as she sniffed and licked them in an attempt to comfort them, her eyes sparkling when the kittens sought her warmth. She looked at Ericht, who was smiling with unlimited amounts of understanding.

“Good for you, Sule,” She rubbed her head, “You’re a mother now.”

‘A mother?’ Suletta thought before she realized what had happened, ‘Did me and Miorine’s love finally get answered?!’ And she looked at her kittens with renewed interest, ‘Yes! They look just like me and Miorine,’ she purred loud and proud. A sound that Ericht never thought she could muster with so much amplification. A blissful expression on Suletta’s face as she nursed her children with all the love she could pour onto them.

Their arrival had changed her plans indefinitely, Suletta couldn’t go to Miorine when they weepie for her attention and care. She would just have to wait for Miorine to come and visit, growing excited to show her lover the fruits of their labor. Her patience being tested as she desperately wanted Miorine to meet her children too. She almost debated taking them to her.

But just before she calculated how long it would take to transport five kittens across town, Miorine had come knocking on the glass with learnt confidence. Suletta was never so grateful for Miorine’s worsening tolerance when it came to being apart.

Ericht slide the door open for her and watched as Miorine advanced toward Suletta with a tail happily up. Miorine saw Suletta’s head peeking up from the large box, a giggle ringing from her purr as she imagined it would be a decent spot to try for kittens again. Only stopping when the gust of new born hit her nose.

“W-What’s this?!” Miorine peered in the box with curious uneasiness. Finding the five kittens nursing, or trying to nurse, along Suletta’s stomach, “… Suletta?”

“It’s our kittens, Miorine!” Suletta glowed, “We finally had our kittens!”

Miorine stared in awe at the new kittens, “Oh,” She paused, taking in the moment with a sobering splash of reality: Their kittens were here and they resembled them so beautifully! But that also meant that Suletta had borne their kittens while she was away. Suletta had given birth and she had missed it.

“M-Miorine??”

The other having complicated sentiments that were stained with sorrow, happiness, and overwhelmingly the complexity of parenthood, “Suletta… did you really have our kittens??”

Suddenly all her worries, all her fears, put to rest with Suletta soft laughter, “Really?” and Suletta cooed for her to join them. An invite that didn’t need repeating as Miorine hopped in gracefully.

Taking careful steps to circle herself around their kittens, Miorine laid on the opposite side of the bunch. The two creating a warm nest for their babies, “I can’t believe we finally did it,” Miorine began feeling the edges of her eyes water from the blissful delight they had been rewarded with.

There was truly no great joy for the pair than having their kittens physically with them. Their presence would be enough for their family’s to never again separate them, “There really here,” Miorine’s eyes shining with ever vibrant strain of admiration she could mustered.

“And they look so adorable,” Suletta happily giggled, “I want to name that one Miorine Jr!”

“Suletta,” Miorine was enchanted by Suletta’s motherly charm like never before, now that she knew it was indeed possible for them to be parents.

“Yes, Miorine?”

“Let’s have a lot more kittens.”

“More kittens??”

“Why not!” Miorine licked the closest one on its forehead. It’s little squeak making Suletta giggle at Miorine’s enthusiasm, “These lot won’t know what hit them. They’ll grow up to be outstanding cats and we can’t let our owners think this was a one-time thing either.”

And Suletta bashfully agreed, “Next time… can you have them?” Suletta chuckled on, “Seeing them… it was a bit scary.”

Miorine misunderstanding how they were born as she nodded determinedly to be the best wife and mother, “Yeah. Leave it to me,” and she bumped her nose over Suletta’s. Their gaze meeting with unyielding amore.
