Chapter Text

The x-hunter team were having a meeting in the garage late that night about the next race . pete was telling them that the race was important because some of his partners who got interested in the team and wanted to investe are coming to watch the race.

They were ending the meeting when kenta enter the garage he looked hurt and injured there was blood on his shirt and went directly to babe he stood there for few seconds before taking something out of his back pocket . Charlie immediately stood between them followed by the rest except kim and jeff and pete .

"I didn't come to hurt anyone ,here take this as my apology "he extended his hand to babe and opened there was a USB flash in it

He turned to leave he wasn't walking straight he collapsed before he even reaches the door

Kim was the first to reach him and after him jeff and pete. Kim checked his body for any injuries and found that he was stabbed in his right side and two of his ribs are broken he was about to lift him to take him to hospital when his eyes opened

"Don't worry you'll be fine I'll take to the hosp.." he got cut off befor he finished "no.. not the hos..pi.tal he'll find... me"

"Let's take him inside and I'll call a doctor i know "

After a while the doctor get out of the room " i stitched his wonds and bandaged them fortunately his ribs didn't pierce his lung but need a lot of rest and he shouldn't move around for next few days to let his ribs heal otherwise he is fine , he is still unconscious let him sleep Don't wake him up" with that the doctor left the garage.

"Gays you won't blieve what was in the USB flash look " north came running with his laptop in hand he put it on table all of them gathered around to see what in it . Ther was video of tony abusing children and even killing a few of them.

"Why is he doing this after all what he did ? He is trying to play the good brother now " angry is the best description to babe mood right now

" he was never a bad person " jeff said quietly but enough for everyone to hear

" what do you mean nu ?"alan asked him

" he was the one who helped me escape from tony and also the one who helped me get kim out " said

" when i was captured he akted harsh in front of winner's men but when i were  alone he would give me painkillers and bring me water and somthing to eat so i don't die of starving and he even attend to me when i was having a fever he is kind i think he has his reasons for what he was doing." Kim adds as he come out of kenta room

"That doesn't exuse his actions he did so many bad things he helped tony to sell the kids only god know what happened to them

Pete was silent the whole time but he had enough of babe attacking kenta " ther all safe we saved them i bought them back." He sighed and looked around at all of them " kenta was my spy in the foundation he would tell me the whereabout of the millionaires who did buy the kids and i would buy them back and send them to safe places . He never hurt anyone in the first place "

Babe was as shocked as everyone else were

"So all of this time he was acting as the bad guy " Charlie said with sad eyes

"Yeah he didn't want anyone to know about this the lesser the better to fool tony but i  think tony finds out about him that's whyhe escaped from im"

" that's good to know let him rest here when he wake up Let's take him to my place tony would be searching for him now if he get him he will kill him for sur " alan said and then looked at sonic and said " make copy of the files nd give them to me i will give them to the police first thing in the morning , now everyone let's wait for him to wake up and then go to my place it's safer to stay all together in one place " all of them nodded agreeing with him and scattered on the sofas waiting for kenta to wake up except kim who insisted to  stay in the room with him

3:00 a.m

Then first thing kenta saw when he opened
Was a bob of hair next to his left arm his face soften he recognised him

" he didn't left your side since you fainted, is there something between you two i should know about I'm your brother after all" pete said teasingly. Kenta was startled because he didn't even see him he tried to get up but he regret it soon because the  pain come to him in full force without a warning. he gasped and frozen halfway

"Waah!! dont move your ribs are busted the doctor advised you to stay still for the next few days with the bar minimum movement"
Pete rushed to him pushing him down to his bed again. Kim woke up from the commotion his eyes met with kenta's he took a few second to get his brain functioning

"You're awake how are you feeling are you in pain somewhere do you need painkillers? " he said in one breath .kenta chuckled at him

" No I'm fime just wrong move "

Kim nodded and sighed in relief and then there was silence in the room

" so what going on between you two? Kim if want to date him you need my permission he is my nong you know that right" kim immediately blushed and got up running outside

"Phi  why did you say that to him " kenta whined a little

"He always have that serious face on it's fun to tease him " pete laughed at his brother face "now, that you are awake Let's get you to a place more safe and comfortable and after some rest we will discuss what we are going to do next okey ?"

Kenta just nodded . He couldn't stay awake even if he wanted to he immediately dozed off in the car pete has to lift him in his room that alan prepared for him.

Chapter Text

The next day pete took all the evidence kenta give them to the police station .he used all his connections so tony has no way out of it. He will make sure of it.

Back at Alan's house

   The ray of sunshine hits kenta first as he opened his eyes . He looked around the unfamiliar room . very neat and simple decoration mix of pastels colors. He was alone this time.

   He tried to sit up but winced immediately his side burned like hell and he felt pressure on his ribs after a brief moment of breathing throughout the pain he sit up and  looked at his clothes he is wearing a navy shirt and grey sweat pants someone must have changed his bloodied clothes . He wondered where he was but remember pete telling him that he will take him somewhere safe. He trust his brother to keep him safe.

  He needed to know where he was so he get up and with carful steps he get out of the room. he find himself in a long hallway on each side there was multiple rooms and a stairs at the end of it. he decided to go down searching for pete.

He descended the stairs with difficulty Leaning on the stairs railing when he finally was on the last step he observed his surroundings there was a large sitting room with multiple comfy looking sofas and a big tv in the wall. he could hear multiple hushed voices coming from his left side he decided to follow the direction of the voices. He found himself in the kitchen facing eight pairs of eyes.

"Oh..!! You're finally awake. Come sit down you can't keep standing " alan was the first to notice him and ushered him towards the table and chairs he sit him down between kim and north. He looked around awkwardly for a couple seconds "where am i and where is P'pete ?"

"Don't worry this is alan house no one can find you here . Pete goes out for a while he will be back soon " kim was the one who answered him he smiled for him

"P'pete went to the police station with the evidences you give us . You are awesome..!!how did you manage to obtain them ? " north was bouncing around him  he felt weird about the boy behaviour wasn't he supposed to hate him after all he had done to them?

"Why?"kenta said looking around him observing thier faces looking for any signs of hate but found none

"What do you mean?" Charlie asked him because he didn't get what he means

"Why are you nice to me after all what i did to you ?"

Babe was looking at him for few seconds before he said " pete and jeff and even kim defended you and they told us everything. you don't need to pretend to be a bad guy anymore. tony won't hurt you don't worry you are safe with us here you can stay with us you're one of the pack. right lung? "

"Yes of course welcome to the pack. " alan give him a warm smile that he also found it on everyone face. So he returned the smile feeling warm for the first time in his life

"Thanks "

"I don't believe i said that it gives me goosebumps. " babe said while making disgusted face. Everyone laugh at him even kenta

"Wow this is the first time i saw you smile. Its beautiful .you should smile more from now on " kim whispers in his ears. kenta cheeks stained red and then  they start eating .  Afterwards kim and Charlie helped him back to his room. kim lay him on the bed while charlie stand by the door

"That's cute " charlie said amused

"W..hat ?" Kenta said flustered

" it's a first , you never let anyone this  close to you,  i like kim influence on you I'm leaving you two to continue whatever this is P'babe is waiting for me " he said teasingly before turning around leaving

"Wait that not it don't misunderstand this ....." but he didn't finish because charlie already left

" pfttt haha "

" shut up don't laugh, you are enjoying it too much, he'll think you're flirting with me "

" but it's true that I'm flirting with you . when I'm interested in someone i make it clear i don't hide it " kim smirked and leaned over him kenta face was mix of blushing and flusterd

"Ger out I'm tired i want to rest " he said while pushing him off the bed . kim left chuckling he left him wondering why he was interested in him, he was rough and boring person so what made kim flirt with him he must be just passing time yeah that's it

By noon tony was brought to custody waiting for trial after two days. Babe was the happiest . tony will no longer torment him and and endanger the life of everyone he cares for finally he'll be free he will continue to live happily with his charlie or that what he thought.

   In the next day X-hunter team were getting ready for the race that will start in about half hour later but there was no charlie in sight. That's weird because charlie was always the first one to arrive with babe

"Babe where is charlie? " alan asked while checking babe car
" i don't know. We left home together this morning, he was supposed to meet a client for an hour but it's already 3 hours he isn't picking up his phone either . I'm worried "

" don't worry I'm sure he's fine he'll make it. just in case dean get ready if he didn't show up you will race instead " alan said while looking concerned but he didn't want for babe to lose focus and mess up he is sure that charlie is fine maybe he get stuck in traffic or something urgent came yeah he need keep everyone focused on the race

"What about you jeff any news about charlie " babe asked when he spotted jeff coming inside the room

" nothing the last time he talked to me was this morning before leaving the house he isn't answering any of my calls or messages "

" weird that's not like charlie , Charlie would answer immediately especially after everything that happened "  sonic said looking around waiting for charlie to enter the room apologising and given some stupid excuses like traffic or flat tires or something but that didn't happen

" ok ok now is not the time the race is starting dean, babe, kim to your cars the rest to the stopping pit come on let's talk later when he arrive go go ." Alan said trying to assume the best of the situation.

The race ended with babe first followed by kim and dean  and there still no charlie . They are scattered on the leaving room in alan house

"I'm starting to worry maybe somthing happened to him on the meeting with his client ? " north said

"I contacted him he said they finished and Charlie left earlier than he was supposed to " pete said from his chair

Jeff entered the living room with a tray full with juice glasses then he suddenly frooze midway wide eyed zoning out completely
for like a minute

"What ? is it another vision ? "Alan was he first to notice immediately jumping next to his boyfriend side

then a tear dropped from his eye"no.....charlie .." he managed to say before he dropped the tray
