Work Header

Silent nights (and early mornings)

Summary:

This is a black phone centered fic, but I accidentally deleted the thing I have been working on and have to do it again, so I don't have all of the characters tagged. This will be very long, and will have sort of short chapters, I will try to post every other day.

Chapter Text

"Vance! Vance wake the fuck up." Vance was very much awake, he just liked pissing off his brother. "Come on Vance!" The little whiney voicd said pulling on his shoulder. "Mom isn't here, and you need to drive me to Finney's!" He pleaded still pulling on Vances arm.

"Do it yourself." Vance replied, though basically on the floor by now. "You know I'm too young to drive!" The voice said angrily, followed by a angry flop onto the carpeted floor, as he layed next to his brother. "Griffin, stop being a crybaby and let me get up." Vance said wiping at his eyes before actually opening them. "Fuck it's bright." He said trying to sit up. Sitting up actually made him fall onto the floor face first. "Ow." Beside him, Griffin snickered, he was sitting against the Grey walls of Vances room.

Once vance got up, Griffin sat on his bed waiting for him, it took a while as Vance decided to take excruciatingly long. Eventually, they got in the car, Vance thought it would be funny to take a hard left turn and make Griffin pay for waking him up so early.

"Hey! YOU BITCH! Griffin yelled after being smacked into the car door. "THAT REALLY HURT!"

"The first statement is wrong. I am not female, nor am I a dog." Vance smirked, then added. "Also, that's what you get for making me wake up so early." After another turn, they stopped at a small house. "Ok, don't eat all of the pancakes while I'm gone." Griffin said unbuckling his seat belt.

"Dont get arrested." Vance replied, laughing to himself as he turned the key to get Griffins sketchbook out of the back (yes he has the sketch book in the back, don't judge me)

"I could say the same to you, but you won't listen to me anyways." Griffin laughed while opening the door "bye Vance." He said grabning the sketch book and marching off towards Finneys house.

Chapter Text

The second Griffins fist hit the door, it swung. "Griffin! It's been so long! Come in!" Finney yelled practically in his ear, opening the door wider and stepping back to let Griffin in.

"It's been 12 hours. Your fine." Griffin rolled his eyes stepping into the small house. "So, why did you ask me to come here today?" He sat down putting his palms on the wooden table like he was settling a businuss deal.

"Sleepover?" Finney asked simply.

"Fine, I'll need to tell van- I mean, my mom." Griffin corrected quickly, trying not to let it slip that he was Vances brother.

"You said your mom's out of town." Finney replied raising an eyebrow. "Who's name were you about to say?" He asked in a very accusatory tone.

"Noone! It's ok. Let me just ask him- HER." Griffin quickly went over to the red phone on the wall and called a number. "Hey Mom. Finney wants to know if I can stay the night. Okay... okay... bye." With a simple click the line disconnected. "I can stay over, my mom will be by soon to drop off my clothes."

"Mhmm. Anyways, let's go to my room." As soon as Finney finished talking he was off towards his room. "Come on Griff!" He ran through the house and over to his room, not even looking back to see if Griffin was following.

"So, why did you want to have a sleepover?" Griffin asked pushing his way into Finneys room. "You didn't make me come here for nothing, right?"

"Well, we are both depressed introverts who lack social skills, so I thought it would be a good idea if we came to my house and were actually social. Also, I'm thinking of inviting Bruce, what do you think? Also what if-" Finney went on rambling before he was cut off by Griffin.

"Alright, alright, slow down. Bruce coming is a good idea, and I think we should watch a movie tonight." Griffin replied while looking at the blank wall beside him.

"Ok, so I'll call Bruce, pick out a movie for us to watch, you should know where they are." He said getting up to go call Bruce.

"Why did we even come to your room in the first place if we are just gonna leave." Griffin mumbled angrily, walking over to the place that had the movies, he grabbed one and waited for Finney on the floor in front of the couch.

Finney walked in, Bruce behind him. "Bruce? How did you get here so fast?" He said wirling around and staring at Bruce.

"I ran, plus his house is only like half a mile away." He shrugged. "So, what are we watching?" Bruce said sitting down next to Griffin."
