Chapter Text
Characters:
Non (1)
Non going back in time I think was the first thought I had, him going back a little after finishing the script but without him being able to interact with the boys after delivering it:
Like in episode 5 of the series, after he writes the script, the next day he shows up to find out if it was approved by the teachers and to thank the boys for participating, so Jin ends up taking everyone's photo and giving it to Non as a souvenir; in this case, as Non just went back in time the day before and also feeling a bit influenced by his medicines/memories of the loan sharks, he ends up not going to school or having this interaction: from then on the story would change because with the don't miss a lot of school; whether it's to get away from the kids, the teacher and to plan what to do in case some things happen again; he misses the interaction of being blamed for breaking the camera.
Strangely, even without this, the boys, for their own reasons, want Non's participation in the project, the teacher still shows interest and Tee still creates fake accounts…
Non (2)
Non goes back in time but his memories are very confusing, the whys and who hurt him are confusing and apparently someone else also seems to know more than they should about “what didn't happen” but who would it be?
Non manages to finish the script and hand it over to the boys, but after that… well…
Non (3)
Non knows in a way that he is being used to deliver his work and suspects that after the teachers' approval he will no longer be involved in the short but he is having fun creating a horror script and that's enough... But he must admit to himself that although I liked creating fiction, I would never have imagined something like this; Are there two of them? What should he do?
Non literally goes back in time, like physically.
He would find his younger version and support and protect him unlike what happened to him in his time as in the future it was shown that his family cared for him on different levels but unfortunately in the present the younger one remains alone.
If there are two Nons, the dynamics of the story may be different. In this case, the young Non would remain sweet and positive while the older one would be bitter and extremely vengeful, especially knowing what people's lives and relationships were like after he disappeared.
Por
What would it be like if it was Por who came back before the big shit happened?
Like, in the 1st episode he was seriously injured and we know from episode 10 that everyone was drugged and on some level hallucinated, so I thought based on that and him dying only then in episode 10 (or episode 11) would he wake up back in some time at school; and in that case, at this moment he would obviously have a panic attack and it would be Non who would help him and take him home/infirmary.
Because of this and because he really believed that in the future the things that happened were a curse in addition to some little information that he managed to hear while he was on that sofa in the cabin (whether this information was true or misunderstandings that he created because he was drugged); he stops bullying Non before the short project starts (the reason he gives to the other boys is that he's not a kid anymore and doesn't want to waste energy on it).
He doesn't magically change his personality or anything like that but he starts to see Non with different eyes and has other new interactions and conversation opportunities with him, so he ends up finding out about Phee being Non's boyfriend and his older brother being New, not Tan what he believed his identity to be - which might be funny in a way that he thinks he's in a parallel reality or something, because as mentioned before he doesn't have all the information which creates assumptions and misunderstandings that justify “the new vision” he has about Non and the changes he will bring to history.
Tee and/or Professor Keng
With them returning, whether alone or together, their behavior due to fear of loan sharks and the mafia would change their behavior around Non being noticed by other people: their behavior or the misunderstandings generated perceived by other people, students, parents and colleagues it would be enough to change the plot along with your own actions.
Tee:
Whether it's Tee breaking the camera but not blaming Non or not breaking it at all but acting in a completely different and sad way, with Non being empathetic and getting involved in a different way to help Tee (since he can't easily escape his uncle) the story would change to this new strange bond of friendship especially if the teacher remembered and was a little crazy and obsessive about Non (since they suffered together in the future for Tee's uncle).
Professor Keng:
Keng returns, in this case he manipulates the situation even better with the information he has and yes, even with that he gets involved with Non.
Tee ends up having memories of the future at another time too and whether it's due to great guilt at having been responsible for helping to end Non's life or because of the bond they had while Non was in captivity because of his Uncle, Tee tries to his way of getting Non out of this situation and really helping him, even asking for help from Phee and New, people that in theory he shouldn't know.
