Chapter Text

Felix slowly walks down the street, his brown hair messy and tussled from the rain despite having the hood of his black jacket over his head, it was roughly 9pm and he had just clocked out from his job at the shop as a cashier, and frankly after a day of Karen’s yelling about coupons, newbies not knowing what to do and a shitty manager berating him for something that wasn’t his fault, he really considered quitting, sadly though his one bedroom apartment has bills to pay

“This is so stupid” he mutters “stupid manager, stupid customer, stupi-AH!” Felix was cut off when a news paper came flying and hitting him in the face “the world has to be shitting me..” he groans as he rips the wet news paper off and uses his sleeve to clean his face, though as he looks down at the news paper he sees a brightly coloured advertisement for “Freddy fazbears super-star daycare in need of a security guard for the night shifts..”

Felix reads the words quietly to himself, at first he rolls his eyes before he looks down to a small yellow bubble that reads
!!£13 an hour!! And his eyes widen, suddenly this job didn’t seem that bad, curiously he stuffs the news paper into his bag and continues to walk home

Once Felix gets home he kicks the door shut behind him and throws his wet shoes and jacket onto the floor before sitting on his couch, pulling out the news paper and laying on the table, he then grabs his laptop and waits a minute to boots it up before going to the web and searching ‘freddy fazbear super-star daycare’

He does a small bit of research and reviews and soon enough finds out why nobody works the night shift, there where two large animanatronics, one sun and one moon, apparently sun was cheerful, happy and full of joy, hence the fact people race to the day shift security job, then there’s moon, out at night with the night guards, apparently he doesn’t interact at all with the night guards one bit, but according to the reviews, he’s not the best

I worked as a security guard, day shift, one time though the lights went out and sun became moon, all I saw was a large dark figure with red glowing eyes just staring at me, I ran so fast out of there and refused to clock back in until the lights where back on, luckily they installed gens so now the lights don’t turn off

I’m a horror movie fan, and frankly I don’t get scared easily so I though ‘working the night shift won’t be to bad’ I was wrong, the amount of anxiety I felt as moon, aka a living nightmare, just watched me from afar was terrifying, quite the same day lol

One time I was working the night shift for the glamrock area, I was asked to do the daycare, without doing any research I agreed, immediately regretted it, as soon as I walked in I called out for moon and he was SILENT when he drop from the ceiling behind me and just stared down at me, fucking horrifying, didn’t do any introduction before I bolted back to the security desk and basically hid the entire shift

“Damn” Felix says as he reads the reviews on the daycares night attendant “so he’s that scary huh?” He speaks to himself “eh, can’t be scarier then a huddle of middle age, bob cut woman wanting discounts” and he applies for the job, typing in his phone number, email and a sad excuse of a resume before hitting send and hoping for the best

———next day 10pm———

*bzz bzz bzz* Felix wakes up from his sleep to his phone ringing on his night stand, he groans and dramatically flops over before grabbing his phone and looking at the random number calling him, after a second he quickly sees the time was only 6pm and it was an unknown phone number, his mind quickly goes to scam call before he looks at the number again and realises it was the number on the website for the security job

“Jesus! Already?” He says as he sits up and answers the call, suddenly feeling much more awake “hello?” He asks “hello? Hello hello” the woman says before continuing “this is vannesa from freddy fazbears, about the night time security guard position you wanted? Yeah it’s yours, we need you to start tonight, if possible, at 12am, because are last guy kinda.. quit just now”

Felix eyes widen as he hears this “really!? Umm yeah sure I-I can start now” “good!” The woman replies “try and get here by 11:30, will give you the uniform and a quick run down of the job before starting!” And before Felix can reply the call ends, Felix looks at the time, and 10:02, he’s got an hour and A half to get there, perfect

Felix jumps up and starts to rush around like a mad man, eating something before brushing his hair and doing his teeth at basically the same time, he then throws on some black pants, black boots and a white button up top with a black backpack thrown over his shoulder, he then looks down at his phone “10:47pm, good time” he says to himself as he puts his phone into his bag and hops into his car

It was around a 20minute drive, 30 with traffic but he makes it to the pizza-plex’s front doors at 11:27pm “just in time” he mutters as he pushes past the doors. When he walks inside he’s greeted to a large entrance area that has two massive ticket booths and a few small gates in between them to get in and out of the lobby, behind that was a rather excessively large golden glamrock freddy statue with stairs and palm trees behind it

As Felix walks towards the small gates he’s suddenly Jumped scared by a robot around his hight in a Yellow uniform yelling “take a map!” While shoving a map in his face “what the fuck!?” Felix yells as he takes a swing at the robot and promptly punches it in the face, though quickly he regrets it when he feels a sharp pain in his knuckles from punching metal, he holds his fist to his chest as he hisses in pain and the robot just stares at him, map still in hand

“Fuck fuck fuck..” he mutters i pain before he begrudgingly snatches the map from the robot before it wizzes away on its weels “well.. that was a good start to this” he says sarcastically as he looks down at his fist and sees his knuckles already turning a bright red, he then looks down at the map and uses it to guide him to the daycare entrance

At the front of the entrance stood a woman who was slightly shorter then Felix with blond hair and a security guard uniform that had a badge reading ‘Vanessa’ as her name “the woman from the phone call” he says as he sticks the map in his pocket and walks up to her, she then spots him and turns to him, now making Felix be able to see the spare uniform in her hand

“Hello, you must be Felix, your just on time” Vanessa says as she looks up to the clock on the wall that reads 11:30pm exactly “yeah, I would have gotten here a bit earlier but I had an.. unfortunate run in with a yellow robot that shoved a map in my face” Vanessa chuckles and so does felix yet his is clearly more of a nervous chuckle then anything, “ah map bot, yeah there pretty persistent when giving people maps, anyway, follow me and I’ll take you to the daycare”

Vanessa turns around and uses a daycare badge to open the doors to the hallway that leads to the daycare, slowly as the both walk down the hall Vanessa hands Felix the badge and his uniform “here, this badge will allow you to get in and out of the daycare, your clothes right now are close enough to the uniform so you’ll be fine not wearing the uniform for tonight, all you reall need is the badge and name tag” Felix nods as he looks down at the uniform and takes the name tag of the top and sticks it onto his own before placing the daycare badge around his neck

As they walk Vanessa explains a few things about the daycare and it’s job, stuff like how to operate the computer system, where the fire extinguisher and fire exit is, the fact the daycare attendants can’t leave the daycare/go behind the security desk etc, and Felix just quietly nods along, asking a few questions here and there, and before he knows it, him and Vanessa are stood in front of the large daycare doors

“Alright then, so I’ve told you the basics about what you need to do and how you do it, so you should be good, just head inside and sign in, okay” Vanessa says as he turns and starts to walk away, making Felix quickly turn around and says “w-wait, shouldn’t you come In With me, y’know.. and train me” making Vanessa chuckle

“Look, Felix is it, your brave for doing the night shift in the daycare, and i’m.. a bit busy, so I’ll stay out here, besides it’s an easier job so I’m sure you’ll be fine” she then continues to walk away, leaving Felix staring up at the large door of the daycare with a slow, sinking feeling in his gut “shit.. why did I agree to do this..” he mutters as he takes a deep breath and pushes past the large doors into the shadow covered daycare, unsure of what’s to come, or how much trouble he’ll get into

“Shit.. why did I agree to do this..” he mutters as he takes a deep breath and pushes past the large doors into the shadow covered daycare, unsure of what’s to come, or how much trouble he’ll get into, non the less he walks in to the daycare and stands just past the security doors as they slowly creek shut behind him, his eyes travel to the glowing stars on the ceilings before landing on the large tower at the end of the daycare that Vanessa told him where the robots room

After a second of staring he looks around the room for a few more seconds, *odd..* he thinks *didn’t people say the moon guy would watch you from the distance, he’s not even here?..* though he quickly drops these thoughts as he shrugs and walks up to the security desk, sitting down in the surprisingly comfortable chair before powering on the computer

He throws his bag and uniform under the desk before logging on to the computer and signing in using the instructions Vanessa gave him before she promptly vanished, once Felix is logged and clocked in to the system he looks around the daycare once more before leaning back in his chair and getting comfortable. The next hour passes by almost annoyingly slow as Felix waists his time by playing with pens, spinning in his chair and scribbling on note pads that he found in a draw

While Felix was messing around though, he kept his injured right hand on the desk, keeping it still so the aching pain would leave, slowly though the redness would become more profound and a yellowish bruise would start to form across two of his knuckles, making him groan each time he shifts his hand “fuck.. why did I have to punch that dumb robot” he mutters as he looks at his bruised first before going back to scribbling

Though after a minute, felix starts to get a slow sinking feeling in his gut, almost like he felt he was being *watched* though he hadn’t seen anyone near him, but that’s when he remembered some of the pretty bad reviews on moon he read

And those where just a few, there where lots of them, all describing him the same way, scary, silent, large, creepy and with big, horrifying red eyes, the idea gave Felix shivers, but the pay was good, and he might be able to finally pay his bills on time this month and not get evicted from his crappy apartment. Felix sighs, pushing the mental image of moon out his head as he looked back down at the note pads, though just seconds later, a small, red glow shines over the security desk, making felix silently panic

Felix keeps a straight face and doesn’t look up from his note pad drawings as he feels moon right next to him, and he can even visibly see the red glow from his eyes staring at him, Felix’s leg starts to bounce as a way to keep his panic undetected by the robot, yet that all fails when after a few minutes he feels a cold metal claw touch his injured hand and his heart and breath stop audibly, the claw stops at his knuckle when Felix freezes for a second, yet Felix quickly continues to draw like his mind and heart were not racing at a 100 miles per hour

Slowly the cold claw continues to touch his injured knuckles, eventually putting slightly pressure on it which makes Felix wince from the sting, causing moons hand to retract back over the security desk, though after a few seconds his hand returns and gently takes Felix’s hand into his own, almost like he was examining Felix’s injury, and once felix makes this connection, he finally gets the courage to look over at moon, and he didn’t know how to react

Moon.. wasn’t horrifying? he was a little creepy with his claws and red eyes yet other then that, he looked normal, or at least not too dangerous, the large glowing board behind felix illuminated moons features slightly, making the top half of his face that was sticking above the security desk and the night cap that was adorned on his head visable in the darkness of the daycare

Felix stares for a few seconds as he watches moon stare intensely at his injured knuckles, Moons cold metal hand surprisingly gentle as he runs his thumb over the bruising, resting the digit over the centre of the bruise, it hurt to be touched yes, but at the same time with how cold moons hand was it was slightly Soothing to be touched over the sore skin by him

Once Felix is sure moon won’t do something stupid like bite him he looks back down at his note pad and continues to draw, almost all his previous anxiety and worries fading from his mind in replace with a small confusion, *why is he being nice? Isn’t he meant to be mean or scary or something..?*, Felix thinks as he can’t resist the urge to look up at Moon again

though he promptly regrets it when he sees Moons red eyes now staring directly into his brown ones, he panics for a second as him and the robot have a mini staring competition before he takes in a small breath and mutters out a small “hello..” to moon, though moon doesn’t exactly respond with anything other then a small, slow wave back to him with his left hand as his right hand stays on Felix’s, oddly this calms Felix nerves as moon shows he’s at least somewhat friendly and docile

Another few seconds of quiet staring passes before Felix swallows the lump in his throat and says “I’m Felix.. your Moon?” As a way to try and get the odd robot to talk, and it seems to work as he hears Moon let out a slightly raspy chuckle before saying “correct, security boy..” in a low almost teasing voice, making Felix frown slightly “heh, uhh, just Felix is fine, y’know” he says to moon, his voice now less of a whisper and more of actual words “ooh? But I like security boy..” moon teases, as he tilts his head slightly

Moons eyes go back to Felix fist, and he frowns slightly and he leans forward a bit more “what?” Felix asks “what happened..” moon questions, his voice not really caring but more curious “oh, a stupid map bot scared me on my way in, and I kinda.. punched it” Felix chuckles awkwardly as he shrugs, making moon chuckle once more “hmm… a feisty one” moons words make Felix look over at him with annoyed look, his cheeks flushing slightly from embarrassment “yeah yeah, whatever” he says as he rolls his eyes

“do you punch anyone that scares you, or just the harmless ones” moon chuckles, he seems to enjoy teasing Felix, which annoys Felix even more, yet he also kinda finds it funny “I didn’t know he was harmless when he zoomed up to me full speed and shoved a map in my face” He retorts, wondering how long moon will play this out “so.. would you have punched me if I landed in front of your face” as moon says this his head tilts to the side more, the long night cap falling over his face

Felix can’t help but let out a small chuckle as he sees moons night cap fall over his face, *goofy..* he thinks, and with moons cold hand over his knuckles they felt a bit better then before, so he gently reached out and move moons night cap out the way of his face as he says “I dunno, your not as scary as everyone said you where, creepy at best” though as he does this moon retracts back slightly and stares up at Felix surprised, his pupils widen almost like a cats and turn a lighter red, it seemed he was not used to being touched, nor anyone calling him anything but scary

Moon quickly shakes his head so his face goes back to normal, his pupils returning to slits before he dips under the security out of sight, Felix then hears some small shuffling before silence, curiously Felix stands up and looks over the desk only to see moon had crawled away, Felix tilts his head for a second before he sits back down and continues to scribble on his note pad, little did he know, on top of one of the play structures was Moon, looking down at him with a suspicious look

Everyone had been scared of moon up to this point, either running away or hiding from him, but this security guard, Felix was it? talked to him, even laughed with him, and moon couldn’t help but growl in suspicion, what did this guy want? Definitely just the pay, he was probably going to boss Moon around like the other guards tried to, so just like he did with the others, he was going to drive this guy out

Soo basically if you have read the last two chapters before 27/3/25 then you’ll need to reread just the ending of chapter two cuz I changed it a lil! (Also I’m very sorry for the slow updates I have had no motivation for ages atp😔🙏)

After the first night and seeing that moon wasn’t as scary as Felix thought, Felix found the night job easy, good pay, nobody around other then a few small sights with Vanessa and a perfect job where he can sleep all night and still get paid, plus there was Moon, who he wasn’t quite sure about yet, Moon was mostly docile, minding his own business while cleaning the daycare or just watching Felix from one of the playforts which was a bit creepy but nothing came of it

Recently Though, Felix started to notice something on his doodles, whenever he was board he’d draw on a small note pad or sticky notes, weather it was a flower, a small scenery or something else there would be small details added in yellow or red pen such as small bees, flowers, extra details or sometimes even complimenting words, at first Felix thought it was one of the day shift staff, but soon enough he realised it wasn’t by the fact non of the hand writing matched the day shift staff’s handwriting, leaving felix confused

So one night Felix decided to test something, just before his shift was over, he took out a sticky note and drew a small cartoony version of himself with the word ‘hello?’ Written above it, he then placed it in the middle of the desk for anyone to see before packing his stuff and leaving. The next night Felix was curious weather anyone had responded or not, and so once he sat down at the desk and clocked in he looked around for the sticky note before noticing it placed on the monitor with a cartoon drawing of the other daycare attendant, Sun, next to his with the word ‘HIIIII’ written above in yellow glitter pen

Felix couldn’t help but feel slightly amused as he sees the note, keeping it on the corner monitor for safe keeping, the next 30 minutes go by pretty slowly as he does random stuff on the computer, eventually though his eyes wonder up to the top of one of the play-structures, seeing a red glow staring down at him which was pretty obviously Moon, he nervously chuckles quietly before looking up at him and saying “y’know you don’t have to just stare at me, we can talk?” Yet he doesn’t get a reaction from moon other then hims shrinking away slightly

Felix sighs as he goes back to working on the computer *he’s probably just shy..* Felix thinks to himself, yet his thought process stops as he hears the quiet sounds of bells moving around, realising Moon was getting closer, Felix keeps his eyes on the computer like he did the first night, letting moon approach him in his own time, though as he does he decides to switch to the daycare camera system on the monitor, watching from the security camera that was above the door as Moon hides behind one of the playforts and stares at Felix, the cameras aren’t that good but from what Felix can tell Moon was staring directly at him

Slowly, Moon crawls out from behind the playset, approaching the security desk and sitting just behind it out of Felix’s sight, Eventually though Moon speaks up quietly and says “why are you still here” in his raspy voice, his tone tinged with annoyance, making Felix sigh “Look Moon, I don’t have a problem with you, I’m just trying to do my job and get payed, so can you please not make this any harder”

As Felix talks on about whatever it was he was saying, Moon’s eyes wonder over to the sticky note on the monitor, he knows he can’t go behind the security desk, but he can still reach over, so he quickly reaches up and grabs the sticky note, turning it over to see the cartoon Sun and Felix on the front *pfft, pathetic..* he thinks to himself before the note is suddenly snatched back out his hand “Oi! That’s non of your business” Felix says, his tone turning almost scolding as he stands up and stares down at Moon over the desk, his actions making Moon smirk

“Awwww, has someone got a pen pal” Moon teases, yet he can’t help but internally groan, god this guy hasn’t even met Sun yet he’s already friends with him, of course, that’s how it always goes, Moon scares people off and Sunny gets them all wrapped around his finger no matter how fake he was, no wonder they where over staffed for the day shift but understaffed for the night shift constantly

“What? Am I suddenly not allowed to make friends” as Felix speaks he crosses his arms, his tone a bit less gentle then before, god he hasn’t done anything to this guy yet Moon still acts like an ass, maybe this was a dumb idea

“no, I’m just surprised someone like you is friends with someone like Sun” as Moon says this Felix tenses slightly more, he hasn’t even met Sun yet he can sure tell he’s nicer then Moon.. “well, I haven’t really even met the guy, yet I’m sure he’s nicer then you, though that’s not a tuff thing to beat” Moon’s eyes narrow at this “ohhhh, so you think Sunny’s so great huh? Well sorry to disappoint, but he’s as fake as the action dolls we sell, but, why don’t you finally get a proper introduction with him, since you seem to think so highly of him.”

With a sudden action Moon stands straight, his red eyes glaring down at Felix who was now acutely aware that he barely reached Moon’s shoulder hight, the seven foot animatronic Much taller, and scarier, now he was stood straight and not crouching behind the security desk. Once Moon is stood he saunters over to the light switch, glancing back at Felix one last time to see the humans confused face before he switched on the lights

As the lights came on Felix had to cover his eyes for a second, quickly adjusting to the sudden bright lights and cheerful music that was playing in the background “fucking hell Moon, turn those off!” He calls out, only to be met with a voice far softer and smoother then Moon’s

“Moon isn’t here right now” the voice says, making Felix freeze and quickly glance up. Stood where Moon just was was who he could only guess was Sun, there long yellow rays swaying back and forth slightly as they stared down at him with pure white eyes, a large smile plastered on his face that would probably still be there even if his face wasn’t perminely like that

“Oh my! You must be the security guard who did the drawings, oh it’s so good to finally meet you! Your drawings are so adorable, I couldn’t help but add to them, Felix was it? Well I’m Sun and I’m sooooo happy to meet you!” The Sunny bot talks a bit too fast for Felix as he practically skips to the front of the desk, placing his elbows on the edge and resting his chin in his palms

The two stare at each other for a few seconds, Sun’s expression turning slightly confused as he mutters “ummm, hello?” Quietly, causing Felix to snap out of his haze “O-Oh, hi, your.. Sun?” Sun nods “yep, the one and only! Actually, why am I out?” As Sun realises the time he stands up straight and looks around in confusion, Moon was supposed to be out, not him?

“Oh right, Moon got pouty cuz I called you my friend” Sun’s rays seem to perk up at this, his attention locking onto Felix “you wanna be my friend?” Sun asks, practically bouncing on the spot with excitement, Sun’s only ‘friends’ where the glamrocks who barely visited, the day staff who always seemed very happy to leave and the kids who probably would forget about him the moment they leave the daycare, so having another friend, one who actually wanted to see him, made Sunny very happy

“Uhhh, sure, Moon doesn’t really like me and I haven’t met any of the glamrocks, so it would be nice to finally get to know someone here” as Felix says this he swore he Saw Sun’s face light up even more, the animatronics hands flailing for a second as he lets out an excited noise before he reaches over and grabs Felix, hugging him tightly over the desk “oh ho ho! I’m sooooo happy to have a new friend!” Sun calls out, squeezing Felix in a tight hug, and Felix could only chuckle, pat Sun on the back and hope that this wasn’t a bad idea
