Chapter Text
Taehyung got out of bed, yawning in exhaustion.
"Taehyung-ah! Wake up! We need to know what spring is going to be like this year."
Fucking Hoseok...
"I'm a flower witch, not a weather witch," Taehyung returned as always. He hated the fact that could tell the weather via his hair color at the start of each season.
He remembered the summer his hair had been grey and they were all confused... Up until three different hurricanes hit them and their house would've probably blown away had Hoseok not done the invincibility dance ritual on a whim.
Or the year his hair had remained turquoise blue after winter and they had winter the whole year.
"Come on let's see your hair Tae, Jiminie is waiting for you."
Taehyung groaned and got out of bed, looking in the mirror.
His hair was a pale pink, almost peach.
This could literally mean anything.
"Also Namjoon is going to kill you if you're not out of bed in 10 minutes. He's in a hurry to get to the shop."
Taehyung hurried through his rose infused bath and headed out. Jimin bounced over to give Taehyung a soft kiss on the lips.
"Your hair..." Jimin let out with a gasp.
Taehyung felt arms around him, he didn't need to turn to know it was Jungkook.
His hair was usually a darker pink for spring, a normal blonde for summer, strawberry blonde or sometimes black for autumn and a turquoise blue for winter. Those were the standard colors.
“It's still pink, just lighter so… Maybe rain? More rain than normal for spring…” Jungkook mused.
Yoongi snorted from somewhere by the window, “it could either be rain or a flood of biblical proportions.”
“Hyung!” Namjoon scolded.
“What?* Yoongi returned, “remember that year his hair was bleach blonde and sickly?”
Hoseok shivered, they did, they all did.
Not only did they record one of the hottest summers of all time, that was also the year of covid. They were stuck inside for a long time before Yoongi and Seokjin's magic basically ran out.
Namjoon had been the one to go out with a mask on to get groceries.
Namjoon, Taehyung and Jungkook had ended up getting sick.
“It's not that bad,” Jin finally spoke up, looking from his steaming pot in the kitchen, “it's not going to be that bad again anytime soon, right Jimin?”
All eyes turned to Jimin who shrugged, “I got Amethyst to tap into her divination abilities just post her time with Yoongi-hyung last month…”
Yoongi blushed, looking away from them.
“It wasn't much but she told us we wouldn't get a summer of 2020 anytime soon… For another hundred years,” Jimin explained, “she said if we wanted anymore we'd need to speak to Audrey.”
Namjoon rolled his eyes, “well we're not that desperate yet.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes, “you need to get over it soon, we have something we can't figure out. We don't want to be caught unawares again, we need to…”
“We are NOT asking Audrey for help!” Namjoon snapped.
“Why not? There's no diviner in our coven and we can't keep straining Amethyst all the time, divination is not her specialty. Even the time with the hurricanes, she could only make out heavy wind so we thought… Oh a storm. And it weakened her to do it!”
Namjoon scoffed, “just because we still let you fuck her doesn't mean you can always defend her laxes!”
Yoongi stood up, infuriated, he pointed at Namjoon, “and just because Audrey turned you down ten years ago, it doesn't mean we can't call her for something that affects us all!”
“And you…”
“Enough!” Jin finally interrupted, turning off the stove and putting the pot on the counter.
“Joon, apologize to Yoongi this instant,” Jin ordered.
Namjoon mumbled an apology.
“Good, now Yoongi…”
“What…?”
“I didn't ask for an excuse.”
Yoongi muttered a “sorry” to Namjoon.
“Now, we're not contacting Audrey and it's not for Namjoon's reasons. It's because she's unpredictable and she also doesn't care. If she did, she'd divine herself and then inform us. She's waiting for us to call so she can float about it,” Jin stated, “but Yoongi's right and we can't keep draining Amethyst if it takes so much out of her and we can barely make anything out.”
“We should prepare just in case,” Hoseok finally spoke, “I'll do the invincibility ritual tomorrow.”
Jin had the stove working again as he tried to put something together, “Namjoon do you have mandrake root left?”
Namjoon blanched, “you know I don't grow those types of herbs.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes, “I do… But it's back at the shop. Maybe you two can come in later?”
“Yeah,” Jin said.
“What's it for though?” Taehyung asked curiously.
Yoongi shrugged, “some kids want to kill their dad slowly so they can be given their inheritance quicker. It's none of our business anyways.”
Namjoon frowned.
“Oh come off it Joon-hyung. You're acting like this day we didn't purposely fuck up that woman's potion to give her the runs.”
Namjoon smiled, “we only tweaked it plus she was cured of her previous ailment as well. It was just a bit of fun.”
“Yeah right,” Taehyung rolled his eyes.

🅙︎🅘︎🅜︎🅘︎🅝︎
A matchmaker witch.
Jimin felt he could've literally been anything, but he had to go and be… This.
Having powers suited to the medieval times.
Sure, every once in awhile, lost souls in search of love came to look into his glass and find their soulmates. Then the serendipitous nature of the universe would make them meet to live happily ever after.
Sometimes, it caused more pain than good.
The soulmate system did not always go both ways. This meant that sometimes, in a pair of spouses, one may not be truly meant to be with the other while one was.
Not everyone had 6 soulmates like him and his partners.
Jimin smiled, looking up from his chair when he heard the sound of a hand fan cricking open and beginning to billow. The sound used to frighten him but not anymore as he turned to see, Amethyst, the famed eclectic witch of The coven of The futuristics.
She often liked to say that her ability was “knowing things”, Jimin always felt like it wa ways more than that.
Jimin bowed his head sightly and she returned with a curt nod.
“Hello noona.”
Amethyst rolled her eyes and smiled, “I told you, my first name is fine.”
Jimin smiled back.
She always looked beautiful. Tonight she was spotting a sequined navy blue knee-length bodycon dress with matching heels.
Her long black hair was in an updo ponytail, it made her look like something of a goddess. Her hand fan was a lace black number, meaning her mood was just… Okay.
“How goes it?” she asked.
“Tae's hair was a lighter pink, almost peach this morning. Kookie tried to reason that it could mean more rain than usual for spring.”
Amethyst snorted, “either that, or a flood of biblical proportions.”
Jimin laughed at that, “the exact same thing Yoongi-hyung did and said.”
Amethyst lowered her fan and smiled, “is he okay?”
Jimin nodded, “as well as he can be.”
Jimin paused, hesitantly.
“I don't need to tap into my powers to tell you want to ask me something, Mimi.”
Jimin sighed, “I don't want to cause any pain. I'm just curious how the both of you two were when you were a couple… For so long at that.”
Amethyst's smile turned rueful, “well Yoongi was, and still is, perfect. He just understands me the way no one else can, knows how to break down all my walls. He's an amazing listener. We never really got into any serious fights or arguments. He knew where to draw the line for our arguments… But I'm sure you already know all this. We were good together then…”
She trailed off.
Jimin felt sad, “then I happened.”
Amethyst shrugged, “it's a… Strange thing. I never dared to ask Audrey to ask about the future of our relationship. Then he came home telling me he met this pretty matchmaker who said his soulmates were six other men, the matchmaker included… After 35 years of a relationship… 20 years of marriage and a son.”
“You almost murdered me.”
Amethyst chuckled, “well I thought you were deceiving him, an illusion. Till I did the spell myself and it was true… He's mine but I'm not his. It was painful, really painful. It hurt. Both on a corporeal level and an ethereal level.”
She paused and stared at the clock waiting for the time customers would start flooding their section of the hotel, “... Sometimes I don't know if you guys lending him to me to fuck for two days every month is worth it. The withdrawal is worse.”
“Well you need sex to replenish your magic and I know he's the only one you've been with. You won't share your body with anyone else.”
Amethyst shrugged, “the magic is unimportant.”
Jimin blinked, “but us witches are almost literally made of magic. If we lose our magic, we die.”
Amethyst turned to Jimin, her features so blank it was almost hostile, “I died the day Yoongi told me he was leaving me. I rejuvenate when he comes to me but… I feel like I die again when leaves again.”
“I'm so sorry,” Jimin's voice came out as a sob, “I wish I didn't have these powers, I wish he never met me…”
Amethyst's face softened and she reached over to take his hand, “it's okay… He loves you and you love him, don't you?”
Jimin sniffled and nodded, “yeah.”
“If he's happy then I'm happy. That's all I ever wanted.”
🅝︎🅐︎🅜︎🅙︎🅞︎🅞︎🅝︎
Namjoon hated the fact that he was somewhat of a stereotype.
Herbs and potions witch.
What's left? A witch's dress, a flamboyant hat and a broom?
Ridiculous.
He rolled his eyes at his situation as he stirred the potion in the boiling cauldron.
Yes, he had a cauldron… Several of them in fact.
This was a small one.
A real witch he was.
“Half a tablespoon of sage…” he read in lowtones as Taehyung's melodic voice came through the thin wall and closed door that seperated their shops.
𝑀𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝐼 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑’𝑣𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡
𝐵𝑢𝑡 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑑𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢
𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝐼 𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑒
𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑎ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑑…
Namjoon smiled, he could picture Taehyung singing to the flowers. Especially to the cherry blossoms outside his window, Tae often said those flowers appreciated his voice better than the ones inside.
Namjoon was the last of five kids had by his father's whor… Concubi… What was it the humans called it in this current generation?
Ah yes, sidechick.
Sidechick.
His four other siblings weren't his father's and none of them cared about him, neither did his mother. She was too busy whoring herself to men for alcohol.
Namjoon ran away from home at 15 after he watched his mom die from a bender. There was nothing to stay for and his siblings hated him.
Sometimes he wondered if he had known about his powers when she was dying, he would've saved her. He hated that his mind often tilted towards the negative.
It was a bad thing to think he'd let his mom died if he had known of his powers then.
Seokjin always hugged him tight and kissed his hair when he told the older about his thoughts, telling him it was okay. No one was perfect, everyone was grey.
That's what connected them to their humanity.
But he hated being… Human.
He hated feeling things like anger, fear, depression.
He hated the rage that had made him speak to Yoongi that way this morning.
When he left home, he had realized that living alone was easier said than done. He wasn't old enough to get a job or do anything.
He lived from shelter to shelter till he found Psy…
Psy was his nickname, no one knew what his real name was. He saw the magical spark in Namjoon and decided to train him in some sort of witches' academy… For free.
And that's where he meet Audrey.
Beautiful, conniving, powerful beyond words. She was one of the most powerful diviners of all time and she was a real sorceress. In the sense that she was only one of the few left that performed magic in the way it was perceived on the middle ages.
Saying spells and having them work for her.
Light magic spells, dark magic spells.
Namjoon remembered when she'd asked him to assist her with a demonology project. Summon a demon, trap it in the mortal realm then send it back…
At least she was supposed to send it back.
Namjoon had made her an invincibility potion but she imbued it with her magic, making it something more powerful. She summoned the demon and kept it trapped in a stone jar.
… Till this day.
It was vengeful but it was under her control.
Witches of old sometimes had dragons, wyrens, griffins… Audrianna Vega had a powerful demon.
Namjoon had fallen madly in love with her and for the longest time he was convinced it was reciprocated… Up until he proposed to her when they graduated.
She had refused, vehemently.

Shit he was crying again.
Namjoon wiped his eyes and turned off the heat under the cauldron.
Jimin had found him, sitting in the heavy rain on the former's way home and took him.
Jimin had saved his life.

Taehyung's singing had abruptly stopped and Namjoon could hear another voice through the wall… A customer.
They had both had a slow day today.

Flower fairy… Not garden witch, flower fairy.
Because a speciality in one particularly set of plants did not classify him as a witch. He had tried so hard, so hard to be able to communicate and work with other plants… He failed every single time.
So… Flower fairy he was.
A pretty useless power in his opinion.
He was basically just a glorified florist… Which is what he did for a living. Sure the flowers were imbued with whatever emotions the buyer wanted to pass across but he couldn't really do much of anything.
He had his shop, he did flower arrangements for weddings and he helped the others if they needed a flower for something but that was about it.
‘𝙳𝚘𝚗’𝚝 𝚜𝚊𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝,’ he could hear the tulips say to him.
“But it's true. Just because I can communicate with you guys, doesn't make me any more than a glorified florist… Hey! Ow! Stop that!”
He was interrupted by the azalea vines hitting him across the face, “alright, alright. I'll stop saying bad stuff about myself… Only you are allowed to do that.”
There was a rumbling sound that sounded like the azaleas were laughing at him. He scoffed and lifted up a middle finger.
The roses sounded aghast.
“Oh shut up, you,” he pointed at the roses, “like you're innocent.”
Taehyung sat by the window and began to sing to the flowers. It was the only time he felt at peace outside of home.
His mind took him back, way back.
Taehyung had always loved flowers, his grandmother used to say he had golden hands. She was a garden witch, flowers included.
His father was a weather witch and his mother was an empath.
He remembered the day he'd argued with his parents about them letting him leave the nest and then he had stepped out of his home in annoyance to cool off.
For the longest time, this had been where he had a mental block. His brain refusing to feed him the rest of it till when Jimin found him about to jump off a bridge.
Jimin had introduced him to Amethyst and she had helped him to access his lost memories. The fire in the fireplace of Tae's room had overspread, his parents were asleep.
They were both dead from carbon monoxide poisoning before they could even realize what was going on. And their house burned to the ground.
Taehyung remembered screaming when the memory came back to him. It had taken the combined efforts of the other four at the time to prevent him from doing something like trapping them all in azalea vines or worse.
Taehyung sighed and went to the locked door. He opened it with his key, “Joon-hyung?”
Namjoon looked up from where he was obsessively rearranging the ideas on the shelves, “yes, Tae. What do you need?”
“I want a hug.”
Namjoon stopped what he was doing and walked over to Tae, he pulled his arms around the younger, “dark thoughts getting to you?”
Taehyung nodded.
“Me too, love, me too.”

“Okay. From the top! 1, 2, 3!”
Hoseok watched intently as his dancers ran through the routine again. One made a mistake, he stopped the music.
“Jisoo!” he called.
She pulled a face and turned to him, “sir?”
“You were behind the beat on that last step. It's quick, short steps not dragging it along.”
She looked away with a shy smile, “you see everything.”
“And don't you forget that I do. Now, back to it.”
Jimin often teased Hoseok for being so strict with the moves. Hoseok for a long time post-healing only did dance as a spell and messing up moves could have grave consequences.
Hoseok had always been a prodigy, dazzling people with his dance moves. He was highly proficient in ballet back then, dancing for different theaters across the world.
Then came the day he got the lead role for the nutcracker role. Yes, the lead not the leading man.
It had been difficult to work with the guy playing Eric but Hoseok tried his best.
Which is why he felt he was sabotaged.
Their teacher had modified the dance so his partner was supposed to catch him to help him stick the final landing. Hoseok had been so caught up in executing the moves that he didn't realize his partner was nowhere near him.
And he would've stuck the landing too, had his brain not decided to relay to him the information that his partner wasn't close. He landed hard, on his knee and he heard the splintering crack of his bone.
Then, he passed out.
Jimin…
Jimin had saved him when it all crashed down and he was in physical therapy. Jimin had sourced for all different types of magic and healers to save him.
Hoseok remembered the day he had danced in public again for the first time, after 8 years without. Jimin had been showing him positions in a dance spell book.
It was a rain spell.
It wasn't supposed to work because the assumption was Hoseok wasn't magic. Then he did the moves and felt the electricity coursing through his veins.
There had been a heavy downpour that day.
He remembered Jimin hugging him and telling him he had powers.
“Hyung!”
Hoseok was brought out of his thoughts by the melodic voice of the matchmaker witch and the smell of food. He smiled, “my lovely Minnie.”
Jimin smiled and pulled Hoseok's hand into the latter's office, “come, eat… Hobi-hyung.”
Hobi shut the door behind them and smirked, “I have a different idea of food.”
Jimin giggled, hiding his smile behind his hand, “and I'm supposed to be the flirt in this coven?”
“Yes,” Hoseok said, getting closer and pulling Jimin into his arms, “yes you are.”
Hoseok nuzzled his nose against Jimin's, Jimin smiled revelling in the affection. Hoseok, Jungkook and Taehyung were the only ones in the coven that found it the easiest.
Hoseok caressed the side of Jimin's face before leaning in and kissing him, softly, tenderly. Jimin sighed into the kiss.
When they pulled away, their eyes were practically shining happily as they looked at each other.
Jimin broke the silence first, “Yoongi-hyung said to stay and watch you eat. That if you don't eat it, he'll murder the both of us.”
Hoseok laughed, “I better get to it then.”

🅢︎🅔︎🅞︎🅚︎🅙︎🅘︎🅝︎
Every story had a hero and a villain, depending on whose perspective the story is told from. Usually, in these types of stories, the person being described is presented as the hero.
Especially if they're good looking.
Even if the viewers or eventually see them as the bad guy, most of the time the characters never see themselves as such.
Not Kim Seokjin.
Kim Seokjin was the villain of his own story and he knew it.
No one knew how long he'd been alive but he had stories from the first world war. He spoke English like he'd been doing it forever, like it was his first language.
Even his coven didn't know exactly how powerful he was. He had done battle with Audrianna herself years ago, it ended it in a stalemate.
He was a kitchen witch because he preferred it and Yoongi was the only one who didn't ask too many questions. The other day he'd produced fire from his hands to light their wood oven.
Yoongi simply squinted at it and asked if it was hot enough for him to put in what they were cooking yet. Or when they needed to freeze things at their restaurant, Seokjin would hold a glass in his hands and whusper a spell and then it would be cold.
Yoongi never said anything.
Every 50 years, he would take on a new role, a new persona. By worming his way into the bed of every wealthy man or woman, making them write him as their beneficiary or heir. Then he'd kill them and leave off the money for half a century, when it was running out and everyone has forgotten about him, he'd come out again.
It was at one of these instances that he found Namjoon. It was a party, everybody who was anybody was at it.
Namjoon attracted his eyes for some reason, even though he could tell from Namjoon's outfit that the latter wasn't as wealthy as his usual tastes. But there was just something about Namjoon.
His feet had led him over to Namjoon's side and they ended up talking. They talked and drank together so long.
It was something, something phenomenal to find a kindred spirit.
It had been a bit poetic, a love at first sight thing. Then he met the angel fruitcake Jimin, his forever sunshine Hoba and energetic Jungkook.
Taehyung and Yoongi came in later.
He wouldn't trade this coven for the world.
He found something he always looked for but never realized he needed, a family.
🅨︎🅞︎🅞︎🅝︎🅖︎🅘︎
Min Yoongi's approach to life was very chill. He'd graduated top of his magic class and had been immediately fastracked to working for the rich and wealthy early in his life. He'd seen things, known people.
Heck, he had known Seokjin before they met in this coven. At first he'd been on his guard, untrusting. But he'd later come to know that Seokjin had turned a new leaf.
Besides, Yoongi was the only one in the coven that met Seokjin's former standards. He wasn't surprised that Seokjin didn't remember him.
He had been merely a teenager when Seokjin was sleeping with the rich heiress his father used to work for.
Yoongi had lived a relatively normal life, keeping as far from drama as possible. Even when he met and fell in love with Amethyst.
She was, and still is, the most beautiful woman he'd even seen. She talked and moved with purpose, pulling in all around her. And she knew exactly what she wanted.
She had made all the major moves in their relationship. She'd been the one to intiate the courting process, they after 15 long years of peace, got down on one knee and proposed to him.
It was strange, outlandish but Yoongi didn't care and he loved her.
He loved her so much.
He remembered the day she'd announced she was pregnant to him in their first year as a married couple. A beautiful son they called Felix.
He was a beautiful blonde haired baby. Yoongi had initially been terrified because of the hair, neither him nor Amethyst were blonde.
Then Amethyst sheepishly confirmed she was a natural blonde. But she'd be dying her hair black since she was 13.
They were so… Oh so happy together.
Then he met Jimin.
Jimin was beautiful, kindhearted. He was firm in his standpoint of viewing the world's through rose colored glasses.
Everyone was kind, they just needed a bit of love.
And Yoongi felt like Jimin was the embodiment of love.
He'd met Jimin a few times and was already feeling guilty going home to Amethyst knowing he was falling for Jimin for a while before he asked the matchmaker witch to look for his soulmate.
His soulmate ended up being Jimin and five other men.
Yoongi was literally shaking and crying when he returned home to tell Amethyst what he saw. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen her angry like that or will ever see again.
She was angry, pissed.
Coincidentally, that was the day they found out Felix could control lightning. Because for some reason, Felix's body became a conduit for Amethyst's rage.
She had almost killed Jimin that day.
Amethyst and Jimin had ended up putting their differences aside when she did the spell herself and saw the truth. Yoongi saw the light leave her eyes that day.
And Felix would forever hate Jimin.
The others were fine but never Jimin.
Yoongi knew how much that fact hurt Jimin.
🅙︎🅤︎🅝︎🅖︎🅚︎🅞︎🅞︎🅚︎
The house was relatively quiet.
The only sounds from the main house were from Jungkook doing his intimate live in the kitchen to celebrate 10 million subscribers on YouTube.
Hoseok was having a zoom call with his students, Namjoon was curled up in bed with Jimin, trying to sleep. Taehyung was having a zoom meeting with the interior designer he was doing a flower arrangement for a wedding next week.
Seokjin was having a late dinner, as he usually forgot to eat until everyone had eaten. Yoongi was on a zoom call with Felix, who had recently gotten into trouble with the Council for using magic in public for no reason. Amethyst was also on the call, she looked as blasé as he did but he knew she was as incredibly worried as he was.
Jin was practically inhaling he rice when he heard the:
20- 22 𝑃𝑠𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘.
Jin choked on his rice and began to cough, spluttering. He regretted his decision to let Jungkook use the kitchen now.
Jungkook had a gaming room in the basement where he could make as much noise as he wanted without anyone hearing. Jin assumed “intimate live” equals quiet live.
Yoongi was interrupted mid scolding session by Jungkook voice.
Felix chuckled, “is that Jungkook-hyung? He's so cool.”
Yoongi pulled the -_- face and Amethyst smiled in amusement.
“What is that?” the interior designer asked.
Taehyung had been spacing out through her entire spill about the sitting arrangement. Now, with Jungkook's singing in the kitchen, he'd be forced to participate in the conversation.
“It's my boyfriend,” Taehyung answered blankly.
Jimin groaned, muffled into Namjoon's chest. Namjoon smiled and held him closer.
“I told hyung this was a terrible idea,” Jimin mumbled.
“Either Taehyung or Hobi will kick his ass very soon.”
Hobi's students were no longer focusing, they were vibing to Jungkook's karaoke. One had even ended the call to “handle his cat” but Hobi knew they were going to watch Jungkook's live.
Towards the end of the song, Hobi backed his chair all the way back and got out of it. The students laughed simultaneously.
Taehyung was currently considering letting the azalea vines grow in through the kitchen window and choking Jungkook.
The volume of Jungkook's voice had increased now.
𝐷𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡!
𝑆𝑎𝑦 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡!
𝐷𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡!
𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡
𝐷𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢- 𝐴ℎ, ℎ𝑦𝑢𝑛𝑔!
Jimin and Namjoon began to chuckle as they heard Hobi's voice from the living room.
“If you don't shut the fuck up right now. I will shove my other slipper down your throat. Pass that one to me.”
Jungkook whined and pouted, rubbing the side of his head where Hobi's squirrel slipper had hit. He handed the slippers back to Hobi.
“Give me the mic.”
Jungkook looked halfway to a tantrum as he handed the mic over.
“Now the karaoke extension.”
“Hyung…”
“Did he ask for an excuse?”
Jungkook turned to see Taehyung standing there, equally irritated.
Jungkook reluctantly handed Hobi the karaoke machine extension with a frown on his face.
“If you make noise again, I don't give a fuck. I WILL disconnect the router,” Taehyung threatened.
Jungkook turned to the camera and started making fake crying sounds, “guys I'm being bullied by my family.”
“We'll soon give you something to cry about.”
Jungkook ended the stream about half an hour later. He also announced his collaboration with Calvin Klein saying the ads would be up soon and how giddy he was.
Then came the farewells.
His fans didn't like to leave him or rather him to leave them so Jungkook mostly ended up saying goodbyes for another 20 minutes.
… Till Seokjin came in and unplugged his computer.
******
Jungkook had always been a bright, happy child. He was the only child of his parents and they had pampered him to no end.
He was also an exceptional child, acing all physical and mental tasks by age 10. By the time he was 11, to the disappointment of his parents, he hadn't shown any signs of magic.
He came from a long line of power witches who all knew their specialty as early as 5. At first they left him but at his 11th birthday, they snapped.
They began to push, enrolling him him in schools meant to force magic out of a child. And for pure, happy, wide-eyed Jungkook it was hell.
He still felt like they stole his childhood.
4 to 5 years went by with nothing.
Jungkook remembered as clear as day, the day he was painting. It was a mountain over a big body of water… It was beautiful.
Jungkook had tried till present day and failed to recreate its majesty.
He had worked for weeks on it, ge wanted to show it to his family on his 18th birthday.
His father had come in before he could hide it but he decided to show it to his dad anyways. He was so happy, talking about the colors.
It still felt like a delay in his head now. His father ripping it to shreds and the rage coursing through his veins as he incinerated his father alive with the fireball he had somehow produced.
His mother had come in, screaming and calling him a monster. She tried to attack him but at that point he wasn't in control of himself, he only remembered blinking and noticing his mother was encased in ice where she stood.
He remembered looking to see his father a charred, not breathing meds on the floor. When he managed to unfreeze his mother, she was dead.
He remembered screaming in anguish and horror. He remembered the ground shaking underneath him.
And he remembered Seokjin and Jimin standing above him when his body was bruised and broken before everything went dark.
He remembered clearly, the concern on their faces.
Chapter Text
“Come on, Kook! You're not even trying!”
Jungkook sounded frustrated as he threw the fireball in his hand at Seokjin, “I am!”
“Then hit me!”
“There's no need for this anyways!” Jungkook returned.
“You don't know that,” Seokjin said, calmer, “be the witch you are! Not the weakling your parents thought…”
“Hyung!” Yoongi scolded.
“What?!” Seokjin returned, “he could do so much…”
Seokjin couldn't move his limbs, he was feeling excruciating pain but he didn't scream or anything. He smirked, looking unimpressed and was about to let out his usual rhetoric about how resulting to blood bending was lazy.
But the pain stopped and he found himself surrounded by icicles about to poke him. Jungkook held a firm posture. Seokjin nodded, proud then clapped, “taking advantage of a momentary distraction, clever. But it won't help you in combat.”
Jin snapped his fingers and the water icicles around him melted.
Yoongi didn't flinch and Jungkook took a fighting stance.
“Are you ready now?” Seokjin asked.
“I was born ready.”
Audrey chuckled as she looked through the crystal on her table.
How Audrey had gotten herself a crystal of Neathid and learnt how to control it, Amethyst would never know.
“What?” Amethyst asked.
“Seokjin is making the little one practice his elemental magic.”
“It's more for Jungkook so he doesn't wither away from lack of use.”
Audrey scoffed, “you don't know him like I do. Seokjin is ruthless.”
Nelly scoffed, yawning from the oven as she took out some pastries and set them on the counter to cool, “not anymore. I think he knows something… Do you think he knows about L'neta?”
“Namjoon would have told him by now,” Audrey replied.
“The funniest part is that Namjoon still thinks L'neta is just an ordinary demon,” Amethyst stated.
“I didn't want to scare him by telling him I trapped an eldritch goddess. Plus his goody two shoes ass would've told the school.”
“So you have L'neta and Seokjin has Estir… How very interesting.”
Audrey smirked. Estir didn't rely on raw power, she thought it was unrefined, unlike Seokjin.
Audrey believed magic was a religion, practiced to perfection. Like a science.
Seokjin believed it was an art, a means to an end. For convenience I'd you will.
Seokjin used magic like humans used washing machines, dishwashers, electricity and the internet.
Audrey could practically hear Seokjin's mocking voice in her head.
“𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮. 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘫𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘴, 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘺. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨. Audrey practically screamed in frustration. If it was any of the members of her coven, there would've been consequences. With Amethyst, it was mostly light bulbs breaking. If it was Nelly, they'd need to replace a window.
When they were in school together, if Namjoon got frustrated, all the potions nearby would go off… Probably do the opposite of what they were made for.
When Audrey screamed, her throat hurt and those nearby covered their ears .
That was about it.
She needed to prove Seokjin wrong.
Magic didn't need to flow through her veins for her to be the most powerful witch.
She would learn more, she could do more.
She needed to kill Kim Seokjin.
Jungkook collapsed on the couch, his head on Jimin's lap. Jimin chuckled and began to stroke his hair tenderly, he sighed.
Jimin did not question the tear streaks on Jungkook's face. It came with the youngest's trainings with the oldest.
Jimin still felt there was a softer way to do it even though he knew Amethyst had tried and failed. Jungkook needed to be amped up for his magic to work in a fight scenario and the only way to do that was to piss him off.
“Jin-hyung was mean to me today.”
Jimin kept stroking Jungkook's thick black hair, “I'm sorry baby. But hyung has a reason though, different magicks need different emotions to control it. Unfortunately yours is anger and sadness.”
“What's yours?”
Jimin hummed, “when I was alone it was loneliness. Now that I have all my soulmates with me, it's love. The love I feel for all of you in this coven, helps my magic blossom properly.”
“Lucky,” Jungkook's muttered.
Jimin giggled, “are you hungry? There are leftovers in the kitchen.”
“Feed me?” Jungkook pouted.
Jimin's eyes turned into crescents, “you're lucky you're cute. C'mon baby.”
Jimin led Jungkook into the kitchen.
**
“Why are you pushing him so much?” Yoongi asked when they were alone in the older's room.
Seokjin didn't look up from the book on his table, “he needs to channel his magic properly for his own good…”
“Oh cut the bullshit, hyung!” Yoongi cut in, bluntly making Jin look up, “Jungkook is perfectly fine channeling his magic to light or put out fires, to keep us cool during the summer and stuff like that. What do you know that we don't?”
“Well if anything goes wrong, he's our only fighter.”
“Oh please… Even if we exclude him and you. Literally everyone of us was thought attack magic in school. Sure it's not our specialty but Namjoon said Jimin did very well in his attack classes so that's not an excuse. Tell me what you know.”
Jin sighed, “fine. I don't know what it is but like I've been having this recurring dream that Audrey gets the dark magic witches to wage war against us on the light side. And Jungkook is the only one that can save us. But in those dreams, Jungkook is never ready and we lose our lives.”
Yoongi blinks, “if I remember my dream magic theory classes probably. If it's recurring it could be a prophesy, but every dream has two sides…”
“Yes I know that it could be my own fear of inadequacy being projected. But it's the exact same dream, everytime. Surely there's some merit to it being a prophesy at this point.”
“Look. I'm not like the best at beautiful, heartwarming speeches like Jimin but… You're not alone anymore. You have us, all of us and we all love you. You don't have to figure out stuff on your own anymore.”
Seokjin sighed, resting his head in his hands, “I know, I know. I'm sorry. It's just so easy to fall into old habits.”
“That's understandable but at the end of the day, remember… You have us.”
Seokjin nodded, “I have you. Thanks Yoongi, you're the best.”
Yoongi immediately gets flustered and starts to blush, “stop, that's disgusting.”
Seokjin smiles and stands up, walking towards Yoongi, “come on, give in. Give in.”
Yoongi backs away, “not on your life, ahjussi.”
“Yah! Ahjussi? I don't look a day over 19.”
Yoongi chuckles, “doesn't make you any less of an ahjussi.”
“You brat! C'mere!”
Yoongi attempts to run but Seokjin catches him very quickly. Yoongi tries to push him off but Yoongi had never been as strong as Seokjin.
“Let me go… I don't bottom.”
Seokjin chuckled, his windshield wiper laugh echoing around the room, “we both know that's a lie. I've overheard you and Amethyst talk about the freaky shit you two have done together.”
Yoongi pressed his lips into a thin line, “I've only ever bottomed for her.”
“Come on… Let hyung take care of you.”
Yoongi's snorted, “ you take of me plenty fine. We don't have to add me bottoming to the list.”
Seokjin chuckled softly, “but you bottom for Namjoon.”
“Sucking his dick doesn't count as bottoming.”
“Oh no but I've seen how you are when you're with him. You let him take complete control of it, using you as a fleshlight if he sees fit.”
Yoongi's cheeks burned at Seokjin's blunt response, “that's not… It's not… Oh shut up, will you?!”
Yoongi turned away from Seokjin was laughing as if he'd heard the funniest thing ever.
“Why so scared, cat?” Seokjin asked.
Yoongi snorted, “I'm not scared… And don't call me cat, only Hobi is allowed to go that.”
As if on cue, Hobi knocked and entered, “Yoongi-hyung?”
“Hobi, my love,” Yoongi paused to kiss Hobi on the cheek, “Seokjinnie-hyung needs your help… As a bottom.”
Seokjin doubled over in laughter.

Chapter Text
Jimin moaned softly as Taehyung nibbled on his collarbone.
The flower fairy wasn't easily prone to sex or intimacy. And whenever he wanted to, he was near insatiable.
“Tae…” Jimin moaned.
They were both naked and Jimin was losing his mind. Tae liked to drag out the foreplay because he knew it'd be awhile before he wanted to again.
“Tae please…”
Jimin was ignored, like always. Jimin didn't hate the foreplay, it was just excruciating when it went on so long.
None of them flinched when Jimin's bedroom door open and gently shut.
Jimin heard movement before he felt the stroking in his hair. He opened his eyes to see Hobi staring down at him with a soft smile.
“Hyungie,” Jimin whined, “TaeTae's being mean to me.”
Jimin heard Tae scoff lightly against his skin.
Hobi chuckled softly, “how so?”
“He's taking too long to fuck me. And I need it so bad now.”
“Ah Jiminie. Tae likes to take his time when he's topping. He wants you to feel really good.”
Jimin whined and whimpered.
Tae took pity on him and began to place soft kisses on Jimin's inner thigh.
Jimin's whines carried over to Jin in the study while he was poring over his books. There were piles upon piles of books on his today.
… All about eldritch gods and goddesses.
He groaned and ran his hands through his already ruffled hair.
He was losing his mind.
Nothing… None of these books gave anything concrete about killing an eldritch being. Just different necronomicons with other books about the story of these entities.
The only way to get an eldritch being was to complete their rituals, probably disfiguring or killing one’s self in the process so their bullshit mind bending shit didn't work. But he didn't need to, he'd broken the system by capturing Estir.
So had Audrey with L'neta.
Only difference is he didn't have Namjoon's potion as a buffer like Audrey and he nearly died.
But he succeeded and Estir respected him more for it.
Speaking of Estir…
Fuck, he hated to ask her for anything and he'd been doing just fine. But L'neta was Estir's sister and he knew Carcosa's light hated her sister very much.
Maybe Estir might be willing to help, maybe.
Or he might just sit here and think of how else to…
𝑂ℎ 𝑓𝑢𝑐𝑘, 𝑇𝑎𝑒!
Okay that's it.
Jin stood up, leaving the books on the table.
Hoseok would scold him for being messy later but he didn't really care right now. He needed to speak to Estir.
He bounded up the stairs silently to his room, Yoongi raised a brow at him as he passed the younger's open door. He had zero intention of letting Yoongi know he had Estir, King in Yellow, light of Carcosa in the house with them.
Jin had secrets he'd die with, this was one of them.
He entered his room, making sure the door was locked behind him before whispering a soundproofing spell. He took a deep breath and released it, making his posture stiff and poised as he walked over to the closet.
He opened his windows, turned on the lights before opening the special closet.
Estir's sickly sweet laughter rang out in the room and he turned around to see her in her human form behind him. Her human form always wore a yellow knee-length dress with a yellow eye patch over one eye and she was spotting blonde hair.
“Estir…” Seokjin tilted his head slightly in greeting. Whether his captive or not, she was still royalty and his instincts always kicked in.
She smirked and repeated the motion, “have you finally decided to set me free after all these years?”
Seokjin smirked back, “you're wiser than that, Your Highness.”
She laughed that irritating laugh again, “then what is this for?”
She hummed, tapping her chin, “does the great, powerful Kim Seokjin need my help?”
“Don't make me regret my choice…”
“You know, the other day, one of your… Partners snooped around in here. He even opened the curtains and turned on the light, I saw him peek through the wardrobe door, I…” Estir let out a strangled gasp, she felt like she couldn't breathe. Then she was released, she glared at Seokjin.
“That was a warning, Estir. Do not fucking test my patience… You're not allowed to talk or look or anything concerning my partners. If not, I will put you in the attic and plunge your beloved Carcosa into eternal darkness… I don't think you want that, Your Majesty,” Jin's voice was venomous.
Estir was clearly outraged but she remained calm and looked at him, unblinking, “what do you need me for?”
“I need to kill your sister. How do you go about that?”
Estir gasped audibly.
Jin looked at her, blinking in surprise. Estir looked… Stunned.
He wasn't sure he'd ever seen her look so surprised at anything before.
The silent stretched on longer before before she cleared her throat, speaking softly.
“I've never thought anyone would think about killing a cosmic entity before. My sister and I used to fight over followers before but we never thought of killing each other…” she paused, “it's a little funny. Audrey is bothered about you, you're worried about L'neta…”
Jin scoffed, “I’ve beat her before, I'll do it again. The only reason our fight ended in a stalemate was because I refused to kill her. No, I don't underestimate her… As far as I'm concerned, for someone who wasn't born with powers and has simply learnt by practice and trial and error, she's amazing. But I have what she doesn't and I know I can beat her… The problem, is L'neta. How do I kill her?”
Estir nodded, “unfortunately for you, eldritch entities are immortal. We don't die. Our punishment is already worse than death but you can, blackmail her enough then steal her prison for yourself.”
“How do I blackmail her?”
Estir sat down and finally relaxed with a soft sigh, “my sister has never been able to keep herself away from the meddlings of humans. And Audrey gives her more freedom than you give me so she would be out there mingling with humans. There would be one she's attached to, you need to find out who that is.”
“And how do I track her?”
“You have a copy of her necronomicon right?” Estir returned.
Jin nodded.
“Perform The Calling backwards. As in do the spell first before everything else then close your eyes and focus your seeing powers, you should find her… Wherever she is.”
“Thank you, Your Highness,” Jin said before heading to the window and closing it. Her presence was gone, then, he shut the closet door.
It was eeriely quiet.
Or at least it would've been if Audrey wasn't training there.
There should be chirping birds if she hadn't alienated this training spot from anything besides plants, herself and her coven.
It was beautiful, a spot that Amethyst had found.
It was way prettier at night when the reflection of the moon was make it water almost… Sparkle.
It was anything but calm at the moment.
Not with Audrey's frequent cursing as she and Crystal battled back and forth. Amethyst watched from the sidelines, her brows furrowed with concentration at the proceedings.
She would need to stop this soon.
Sparring sessions with Audrey tended to get out of hand, Nelly had a scar from one of Audrey's impromptu battle training sessions. Nelly had always been shaky with fighting spells.
Nannette watched on sadistically, like she always did. She twirled a small knife around in her fingers.
Crystal was focused, trying to find a way to break through Audrey's forcefield. The latter had accidentally made it out of glass, if Crystal hit it at the right speed then maybe…
“Ah!” Crystal screamed. She reached up to protect her face.
The glass thing wasn't an accident. Crystal had shattered the glass and all the pieces were flying in her direction.
“Stop!” Amethyst let out.
It was taking all of her energy to hold all the pieces still as Crystal dived out of the way, shaking. Amethyst let the pieces fall into the water afterwards.
“What the fuck was that?” Amethyst practically exploded as Nelly tended to Crystal.
“Training,” Audrey answered blankly.
“You tried to kill her!”
“She's fine…”
“You pushed the glass shards in her direction, you psycho!”
The other three witches gasped, including Nannette who was hardly ever surprised by anything. Audrey was borderline abusive to her coven members from time to time, the only one who was a match for her was Amethyst.
But none of them had ever flat out insulted her before.
“Take your words back this instant,” Audrey said calmly and coldly.
Amethyst scoffed, “well fuck off, I'm not doing that. Not today.”
“Are you turning your back on our coven, Amethyst?”
Amethyst let out a bitter chuckle, “your manipulation tactics are not that strong that you can gaslight me. Even Nannette's more powerful than you in that regard.”
“You think because I still let you fuck Yoongi that you can speak to me however you wish?”
Amethyst scoffed, “ha. You think because you can't fuck Namjoon anymore to replenish your magic, you have the right to shit on those of us who can? We're both in the same predicament, Namjoon's your soulmate but you're not his. Only difference is that you fucked it up completely.”
“We are not mentioning Namjoon! This has nothing to do with Namjoon!”
“Right, okay. Then what about your obsession with Seokjin? What's that about? What are you trying to prove that you're willing to risk all of us for it? Hmm?”
Audrey glared and pushed past Amethyst, “I'm not doing this with you.”
“That’s what I thought.”
“Amethyst!” Nannette let out.
Amethyst ducked out of the way of the glass shard heading in her direction, it went flying into a nearby tree. She panted, turning around to see that Audrey…
Audrey had completely vanished.

Chapter Text
Audrey stomped into her room the very instant she arrived home.
Teleportation… She could not believe the spell had worked. But she knew that if she'd stayed there after Nannette, in an out of character moment, had warned Amethyst after reading her mind, Amethyst was going to lose it.
Raw power-wise she was no match for Amethyst either and she didn't have any resistant substance for lightning in her. She groaned.
She turned out the lights and lit a few candles before going to the glass case she had and opening it.
“Oh… Hi,” L'neta voice sounded tentative like she trying to observe how to react to her unhinged captor. Sometimes they talked as normal people but other time it was caveman noises and L'neta having to treat Audrey like a rabid animal.
“Are you ok…?”
“Does it look like I'm fucking okay, L'neta?” Audrey snapped.
“A simple no would've sufficed.”
“Don't play smart with me,” Audrey returned.
“What do you want?” L'neta asked.
“I'm going to have to move faster, I need you to tell me how to defeat Seokjin.”
“You're worried about all the wrong things. Seokjin is no longer alone, you have his coven to worry about. Yoongi is part of that coven and Amethyst's loyalty to Yoongi is stronger than her loyalty to you.”
Audrey scoffed, “and her willingness to do anything for her son will be her downfall. There is nothing stronger than the mother-son bond. If I can capture Felix, I get Amethyst's loyalty.”
“Then you haven't thought that far ahead. Felix is… Volatile and he's very good too. You can't take him without a fight, one shot and you're dead…”
“... And even if I can get him, he'll kill me while he's captured yada yada. I know the rodeo. I have enchanted cuffs to take away his powers. All I need is a way to defeat Seokjin.”
“Then what about Estir? You're forgetting her…”
Audrey scoffed again, “what? Can't defeat your sister in a fight?”
“Oh my God, Seokjin is right, you're stupid…”
“Excuse me?!”
“A fight between my sister and I would only end in a stalemate. And it wouldn't go anywhere if you don't let us go… Our physical forms are trapped. You haven't thought anything through!”
Audrey sank to the floor, the adrenaline had run out.
“Seokjin has this all planned out, he knows he could probably beat you again so his concern is on me and my sister has probably told him a way to curb me. Seokjin is just like you so you can find a way to face him. Estir is the light of the planet Carcosa. This fight isn't just you and him anymore like the last time.”
Audrey buried her face in her hands.
Yoongi's enchanted meal wasn't coming out right. It wasn't doing what he was supposed to do.
His deadline was this evening. He added some spices to the broth of the Jjamppong.
He had his tongue peeking out from the side of his mouth. Jungkook and Taehyung were watching attentively. Any item that went wrong would go to them.
Jimin already had a bowl in front of his face, eating away without a work.
Kitchen magic was a process.
And every single step to the process counted. At the end, the food was supposed to glow.
“Come on, come on, come on…” Yoongi muttered and served it onto a plate and put the garnish on top.
It didn't glow.
“Fucking… Fuck!” Yoongi ran his hands through his hair as Jungkook grinned sheepishly and reached over for the bowl.
“Move over, hyung will do it,” Seokjin stated.
Yoongi opened his mouth to protest.
Seokjin raised a hand to stop him, “this is supposed to be a healing meal, Yoongi. Don't make it do the opposite, go relax or something.”
“Aw,” Taehyung pouted, they knew it would work now.
Seokjin never had an enchanted meal not work out.
“Taehyungie, you can share mine,” Jungkook offered and Tae smiled before getting another pair of chopsticks.
Yoongi made a face and went to lay on the couch with his head on Hobi's lap as the latter stroked his head. He didn't understand why he was so on-edge today.
He was about to doze off when he heard a knock on their front door, he groaned and Hobi practically giggled at his reaction. He weakly glared at the dancer.
He closed his eyes till he heard Hobi's quiet “noona? Is everything okay?”
“I told you just Amethyst is fine.”
Yoongi sat up straight, rubbing his eyes as she came into the living room area. The instant their eyes met, she softened and he stood up, bracing himself as she tumbled into him for a hug.
Hoseok was quick to give them privacy but he never went any further than the kitchen where the others could also see the two.
Amethyst sniffled a little.
Yoongi said nothing, just let her lean on him till she calmed down, tenderly stroking through her hair the way she liked. She took in a deep breath and stepped back a little to look into his eyes, Yoongi wiped her face with his hands.
She leaned into his touch, sighing softly. She opened her eyes to look into his again, there was warmth there.
She wanted him to kiss her but she didn't push it, his partners were there. She could sense them.
Yoongi finally broke the silence, “I didn't see you last month. Are you okay?”
She sighed. Her face flashed different emotions before it seemingly settled on blank.
But he could see through her, he said nothing.
“I was…” she paused to look away from him, “I was busy.”
“You're lying to me now?” Yoongi's voice just sounded hurt. She cleared her throat, pulling away from his embrace.
“Where is Seokjin?”
“I'm here. In the kitchen!”
“You know we should add Hearing to your list of…” Amethyst was cut off by Yoongi placing his hand over her mouth, “hmm?”
“They don't know, only I know,” Yoongi whispered.
Amethyst's eyes went wide, staring at Yoongi with disbelief as he removed his hand from her mouth, “there's no way.”
“There is.”
She pointed at him, “we will talk about this later.”
She pulled Yoongi along with her into the kitchen.
“Noona!” Taehyung and Jungkook chorused happily.
She rolled her eyes but a small smile was playing on the corner of her lips, “calling me noona makes me feel old.”
“They call me hyung, you're fine,” Seokjin stated.
“More like Harabeoji,” she muttered.
“Yah!” Seokjin let out, drawing laughter from the rest of them. Hoseok almost fell out of his chair then, Jimin did actually fall out.
“That's amazing!” Jimin said admist laughter.
Seokjin was stirring the broth and he handed it over to Yoongi who was looking peppier now.
“I'm good to go now,” Yoongi stated with a smile.
Seokjin smirked, “of course you are.”
“Seokjin. Can we talk outside for a moment?” Amethyst requested.
“Of course.”
Amethyst let Seokjin lead the way to the garden. She chuckled as the peach blossoms reached down to tickle her chin, “hello.”
Seokjin squinted at her, “you have flower powers too?”
“No.”
Seokjin raised an eyebrow at her in further question.
Amethyst smiled, “every living thing has an aura…”
She paused to lift up some flower petals that had fallen to the floor with a spoken telekinesis spell, “any witch with the tiniest of emphatic abilities can sense them.”
She hummed as she focused to try to make a wreath. She wasn't as good or as efficient as Taehyung but she was wow-ing Seokjin, “I can't hear them speak or talk to them like Tae would but I can feel their energy.”
She snapped her fingers and the wreath materialized whole.
Seokjin chuckled, “that's cheating.”
“I'm not a flower witch.”
Seokjin tried to take the wreath from her.
“No… This is for Yoongi.”
“Is this an apology for not seeing him last month?”
Amethyst blanched, “that's personal.”
“Is it? He's worried about you.”
“This is for me, not for him. It's not… He's not mine anymore. I can't let go of him if I keep doing this, how am I supposed to move on?”
Seokjin was silent for awhile, he has not thought about what it would mean for her emotionally when he sat the others down to let Yoongi help her out. Yoongi and Amethyst had been together for an extremely long time, they had a child together.
Seokjin did not know why he had assumed it would be just sex for them.
“I'm so sorry,” Seokjin let out.
Amethyst blinked at him in surprise for a moment, “it's okay… I mean not really but I don't particularly have a choice. I'm not the soulmate of the love of my life and I miss my son. B-b-but that's not what I'm here to talk about anyway. This is about Audrey.”
Seokjin was immediately alert, “what about her?”
“She's completely lost it… No I'm not just figuring that out for the first time,” Amethyst added quickly when she observed the unimpressed look on Seokjin's face, “I'm just saying she's dangerous now and she should be classified as unstable. How does Crystal get unstable and she get Normal? She almost killed Crystal today.”
Seokjin hummed, looking off into the distance, “we should report this to Sihyuk and Psy then.”
“I think we should,” she sighed, “I've had enough of seeing my coven get hurt.”
“Your coven?”
“Yes.”
“Would you take over if Audrey was overthrown?”
Amethyst turned to him and raised an eyebrow, “in name, maybe. Just like you…”
They were cut off by Taehyung's voice, “noona! Your phone's ringing! It's Bangchan!”
“What the fuck?” she let out in surprise as Taehyung handed over the phone to her.
She answered it quickly, “hello? Is Felix okay?”
Chan sounded absolutely exhausted, he was too young to be heading a coven, only 18, almost 19, “𝑖𝑠 ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑜𝑘𝑎𝑦? 𝐼 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑑 ℎ𝑖𝑚 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑒.”
“What did he do this time?”
“𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑡𝑤𝑜, 𝑛𝑜𝑜𝑛𝑎.”

Chapter Text
It hadn't always been like this.
JYP was the one that brought all eight of them together. Then the vocal witch went to join the elder witching council, leaving 17 year old Bangchan in charge of the coven.
It was fairly easy… Up until Felix joined them.
Felix had been a problem since day one: First, his lightning powers had already qualified him as unstable but he quickly proved that he was the son of Min Amethyst, the greatest lighting witch of all time. Second, his inability to follow the rules… Especially the one of not using his powers in public, where Humans could see- first incidence was on top of a hill with news helicopters flying overhead and caught the lightning flashes. The current incidence was in a park at dead of night with some Tiktokers that caught his silhouette and his long blonde hair on camera.
It went viral.
Not to mention the witching council found out Felix used his powers on his own TikTok videos and passed them off as effects in editing.
Bangchan had needed to sneak away from where Felix was currently setting up to film a TikTok with Hyunjin. The blonde had his hair in a beanie, Chan knew he hated it. Know watched on as he worked on an enchanted drink…
“Strike two, noona,” he responded to Amethyst.
He heard her sigh.
“How bad is it?”
“You know the most painful part? I've been the one yelled at and debased by JYP for Felix's actions. I'm the hyung but Felix is so difficult to get control of,” he found himself ranting.
She scoffed but it was lighthearted, “you're telling me? I'm his mother… Just tell me what the elders decided.”
“Well after JYP had gone on a rant about how useless Know and I are…” he began bitterly, “Sihyuk suggested a suspension… He needs to lay low for a bit. His hair is too luscious to not be recognized so I'm in the process of trying to convince him to dye it.”
She snorted, “my little Legolas would rather wear a beanie forever that do anything to his hair other than that curtain bang he gave himself two years ago.”
Bangchan smiled at that, Felix was having a difficult time then, “JYP wanted to send him to a disciplinary witch school…”
The sound Amethyst let out was extremely infuriated, it reminded him of Felix. If they were truly alike, her other hand would be sparkling with electricity and then…
He heard the sound of thunder in the background through the phone, he smirked. Like mother like son.
“Over my dead body will they send him to one of those schools!” she spat, her voice thick with vitriol.
Bangchan swallowed, he hadn't been or knew anybody that went to a disciplinary school before. But he heard witches that went in came out worse.
Case in point, Audrey.
He cleared his throat, “so they decided he’d be sent home, back to Seoul for a couple of weeks. We have a long holiday. Psy thought that home would be good for him. He's still barely 17 afterall.”
Amethyst sighed, “well I miss my baby boy anyways and his father misses him too so… I can't wait to see him.”
Well that went better than Bangchan had expected, “okay then…”
“Thank you Chris.”
Bangchan almost choked on air. He coughed a little, face turning red.
None of the older witches ever called him by that name, so informal… Let alone thanking him.
“For what, noona?”
“For taking care of my boy. I know you're only a kid yourself and it can't have been easy on you to handle so thank you.”
He felt his eyes well up a little, “you're welcome, noona… And thank you.”
The call ended shortly after and Bangchan sighed. He ran his hand over his face.
Now he just had to inform Felix.
Yoongi stirred, he hummed when he noticed the long black hair obscuring his vision.
… Amethyst.
He was also aware that their naked bodies were pressed against each other. Yoongi blinked as memories of last night came rushing to him.
After a mini argument, she had finally given in to share a room with him. She needed a place to stay till Audrey calmed down.
There was a spare room but Seokjin had surmised it would be better for Felix to take the guest room when he came over.
It had taken till nightfall of the first night they had spent together for Yoongi to realize their relationship had become strained. She was withdrawn from him, preferring the company of the others even joining Jungkook on stream.
She would come into the room when she was sure he had fallen asleep.
This had gone on for a few weeks.
Yesterday had been their breaking point, Yoongi had gotten into a big fight. It was extremely strange to fight with her, even when they were together they didn't argue like that.
Then she had confessed to him in a fit of sobs everything— How it hurt her to still be intimate with him when they weren't together anymore. She had described the hurt in her heart so explicitly that Yoongi felt himself begin to ache too.
She told him how she loved him so fucking much and it killed her everytime they were apart. Yoongi had felt so stupid at the end of it all for thinking that it would all come down to just sex… After 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒚-𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 years in a relationship and the preceding time they'd done… Whatever this was.
He'd broken down as well, holding her in his arms, sobbing and apologizing. He realized that back then and till now, she'd never asked him to come back to her.
She'd just taken it in stride.
But he loved her and, even though he'd never admit it to the others, he loved her more than he did them.
Did soulmate bullshit really matter?
He was more intimate with her than the rest of them.
Their tears had broken when he kissed her with so much passion. They fell apart in each other's arms, he was expecting resistance… But she let him take her multiple different times last night.
Different positions, till they were just grinding together panting into each other's mouths. He had only had the presence of mind to pull out of her and hold her against his body before they fell asleep.
He sighed and began to stroke her hair the way she liked and she hummed in her sleep. The sound made his heart flutter, reminded him of simpler times.
He knew the exact moment she woke up, the small questioning sound followed by a yawn. Then, she froze and attempted to move away.
Yoongi was not going to let her.
“I don't… Last night… I…”
“Amy, you're okay. It's okay, you don't need to run… We talked about this last night already.”
He was the only one that called her ‘Amy’.
She groaned but relaxed against his chest again, “did I tell you that my soul was shattered?”
“You did…”
“It feels less shattered now.”
Yoongi held her closer to him.
“But it'll shatter again when I have to leave… You're not mine anymore.”
“But you're mine… I know you haven't changed back to your own last name, even though Felix chose to go by yours.”
She scoffed, “he didn't use my spelling. As for me, well… I like your last name. Min Amethyst is a lovely name.”
He chuckled softly, still stroking through her hair, “so… Our Yongbuk is coming home today.”
She giggled, a lovely sound, “he's going to be dramatic and roll all over the floor if you call him that.”
“𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘍𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘹… 𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭!” Yoongi mimicked in a perfect caricature of Felix's Australian English accent, drawing laughter from Amethyst, “it's his name, I don't know why he fights it so much.”
Amethyst shrugged, “it's what we used to call him as a baby, I guess he thinks it's childish now.”
“He's still our baby, he isn't 17 yet.”
She sighed and silence took over, comfortable silence. He began to stroke her back and she hummed.
After a minute, she sighed again, “would it be asking for too much if I requested another round?”
Yoongi began to laugh quietly, his shoulders shaking. She made eye contact with him and pouted.
“It's not… But are you asking or not?” he responded, his gummy smile on display.
She looked away, “I don't know. I don't want to get you in trouble with your partners… Namjoon's energy isn't the best around me.”
Yoongi stiffened, “did he say anything to you?”
“No, no, no. It's just that… I can tell he isn't particularly fond of me because of my affiliation to Amethyst, not that I blame him too much. You guys are housing the enemy…”
“You're not the enemy,” he cut in, “only Audrey is. Namjoon, is just being a douche.”
Yoongi said it so firmly that she had to look into his eyes again. He had never taken it well to anyone, even so slightly, insulting her or saying anything bad about her or making her uncomfortable.
But this was one of his partners…
“I can practically hear the thoughts in your head, my sweet,’’ he turned to her so he was stroking her cheek tenderly, “I will defend you from even them, you and our son are the most important people in my life.”
Amethyst found herself fully relaxing into his arms again, he always knew what to say. And she didn't need to use her powers to tell he was being genuine.
They kissed tenderly for a while.

Chapter Text
The house was tense, as much as they pretended not to.
Felix was away and not even Amethyst could give Jimin a definite response on if the kid still hated him. Jimin was nervous as he put the finishing touches to the lunch he was making.
Then, the doorbell rang.
Jimin could feel the emotions of the entire house freeze.
“I'll answer it,” Seokjin stated, slipping past the kitchen door.
Yoongi had rushed out to make a last minute delivery and Amethyst was using Jimin's crystal ball to 𝙨𝙚𝙚.
Taehyung and Jungkook looked at Jimin with worry. Hoseok managed a small smile but it did very little to calm the matchmaker’s nerves.
“Seokjin-ssi!”
Whose voice was that?
Jimin's memory of Felix’s voice was small, cracked, just on the verge of breaking.
Threatening bloody murder.
Jimin shivered slightly at the memory of Felix at his door, Amethyst's power coursing through his veins.
This voice sounded deep, self-assured, laid-back… Almost like Yoongi's.
“Yah,” Seokjin said in a light scolding manner, “I thought I told you to call me hyung.”
Jimin saw the blonde wonder step into view. His hair looked ruffled as he took it out of the beanie and ran his hands through it to make it less of a mess.
Felix was taller and smiling…
Jimin was stunned how the kid had Amethyst's sharper features and Yoongi's cuteness all in one package.
“You're lucky I didn't call you Jeungjohal-abeoji,” Felix quipped.
Taehyung, Jungkook and Hoseok burst out laughing. Felix just smirked as Seokjin opened and closed his mouth like a puffer fish.
Jimin chuckled softly with his eyes closed and his hand over his mouth.
“Your mom made a similar joke, called in Harabeoji,” Taehyung informed, amidst laughter.
Felix shrugged, “I get my humor from her… Mostly.”
Hoseok embraced the blonde and ruffled his hair. Felix pulled away from the hug, “come on, this takes hours to fix.”
“I'm beginning to see why your mom calls you her little Legolas,” Jimin stated with a small smile.
The living room instantly fell quiet then.
The clap of thunder from outside made Jimin and Hobi jump.
A second one had Jimin taking a physical step back as Felix walked straight past him without looking at him or acknowledging his presence.
Jimin's heart shattered in pieces like shards of glass.
Amethyst was awoken by the feeling of lips on her forehead, then her nose and soft peck on his lips. She smiled, blinking her eyes open, Yoongi was smiling back at her.
He then moved to give Felix a kiss on the temple where the latter was fast asleep with his head on Amethyst's stomach.
“What took so long?” Amethyst finally asked, her voice a soft whisper.
“I had to wait in line for an appointment that's why. They had Namjoon and I working through the night to get it done only to get there and WAIT to see the doctor. He's going to make a shit ton from that cure… Jin said we need to increase our prices,” Yoongi finished with a sigh.
Amethyst managed a soft smile. Yoongi smiled back, he didn't need to be told to know it was a comforting thing but she was too tired to actually say the words.
He leaned down and kissed her softly again.
“Is he okay?” Yoongi finally asked when he sat on the bed next to them.
“I think so… How is Jimin?”
Yoongi swallowed, “not great.”
“Yeah, I figured… I just didn't realize it would be that bad honestly. Did he yell at Jimin?”
Yoongi shook his head, “he didn't even acknowledge Jimin's presence in the room.”
Amethyst made a pained noise, “as a fellow empath, that's worse…”
“No that's the thing. Jimin couldn't even read him, couldn't feel his emotions. That's why it was so much worse.”
“Ah well.”
“I don't know what to do. I don't want to scold him.”
Amethyst tilted slightly to glare at Yoongi, “I wouldn't even let you dare.”
“Come on…”
“You can't tell our baby how to grieve.”
Yoongi's breath hitched in his throat.
Grieve…
Felix was still grieving their broken family.
Yoongi let out a breath, “I know. I'm just saying… Poor Jimin.”
“Yeah, poor Jimin. He keeps having to pay for your sins…”
“Amy…”
“... He just did his job, I don't know why you asked for a matchmaking spell. But you had a choice, and you chose six men over Yongbok and I.”
Yoongi's eyes stung, “you said you weren't upset anymore.”
Amethyst shrugged, “I'm not upset, I'm just stating the facts. Yongbok keeps saying Jimin shouldn't have shown you the actual vision but then again, you paid for it…”
Yoongi looked down, struggling to fight the tears.
Amethyst gasped and turned to him, she held his m.ghand, “I didn't mean to…”
“No, you're right,” Yoongi sniffled, “I made my choice… I wish Jimin didn't have to suffer for it though.”
“Me too,” Amethyst stated with a sigh.
Hoseok entered the kitchen groggily to see Felix humming in the kitchen. He was instantly awake.
The lovely aroma of eggs with fried plantains was wafting around the kitchen.
“Hello, hyung,” Felix greeted cheerfully.
Hoseok looked around the kitchen, everything was slick and span. Felix wasn't a messy chef.
… Like Yoongi.
Hoseok smiled widely then, “hi Felix. How are you?”
“I'm great.”
Hoseok watched as a plate floated from the cupboard to the kitchen island in front of Felix, “you have telekinesis?”
“... And mom has hydrokinesis and is an empath… We don't need to list everything in our skillset all the time,” Felix replied blankly.
“I'll take a plate,” Hoseok said after awhile of silence.
Felix smiled again and dished out the food for him. One by one they all came down, happy at the food.
Jimin and Amethyst usually woke up last because of their nighttime jobs. Amethyst though, tended to wake up when Yoongi did, so she came down pouty and with one of Yoongi's beanies on to cover her bird's nest of a hair.
Felix was the same because neither him nor Amethyst had the energy to handle their hair in the morning.
“Why don't you two just get a haircut?” Taehyung mumbled between mouthfuls.
The resulting glares from mother and son had him shutting up immediately.
Jimin came down halfway through the meal, yawning. His eyes were puffy from sleep and so much crying.
Everyone except Felix greeted him and he went to the kitchen counter. All the utensils were clean…
… There wasn't food anywhere.
“Yoongi-hyung where's breakfast?” Jimin asked groggily, yawning again.
The entire table instantly went silent and tense.
“Felix? Where's the rest of the food?” Seokjin asked the youngest, who was currently chewing and swallowing without a car in the world.
Felix swallowed first before responding, “I took the last of it.”
Jimin's face immediately fell and Audrey sighed heavily as she felt the matchmaker's emotions deteriorate.
Seokjin was struggling to keep cool, “Felix… With you here, we are now nine. You should've cooked for nine.”
Felix still kept his air of nonchalance, “I counted eight. Who else is left?”
“Jimin!” Namjoon snapped before Seokjin could, “you fucking forgot Jimin!”
“Joon…”
“Hey!”
Seokjin and Amethyst let out simultaneously.
“Don't defend him!” Namjoon pointed his fork at Amethyst from across the table, “you probably enjoy this, don't you? Making Jimin feel terrible.”
“No, I do not. But do not understand any circumstances, yell at my son.”
“Joon, you're pushing it…” Yoongi said firmly.
“Shut it, Yoongi. You like this, don't you? Audrey sent you, didn't she? To tear us apart.”
Amethyst opened her mouth to speak but the sound of hands banging on the table one made everyone jolt and go quiet.
Felix was glaring at Namjoon, “you're lucky I didn't count seven. You're eating my food, do not speak to my mom and dad like that.”
Namjoon stood up, ire rising.
… So did Amethyst and Yoongi.
“Now listen here, you little shit… HMM!”
Namjoon suddenly lost the ability to move his lips.
He turned to glare at Amethyst who let go of Namjoon. The potion maker’s eyes burned with rage.
“You bitch!”
The table fell into chaos.
Chapter Text
No one else moved for a while.
Yoongi was having difficulty holding Amethyst and Felix back, Namjoon was irate and Seokjin was trying and failing to keep a civil environment.
Hoseok was helping Seokjin, Taehyung was dead silent and Jungkook was curled in on himself, fighting back tears. Jungkook had never been good with arguments.
“Enough!” Jimin's broken voice finally rang through, “stop it… I can't deal with this…”
“It's not fair, he's rude to you and Yoongi and Amethyst aren't saying anything about it!”
“He doesn't have to be nice to me, Joon-hyung. He's not obligated to do so, you don't have to get into a fight over it…”
“Jimin. It's not right, it's not your fault. Felix, you know it's not Jimin's fault, right?”
It was Taehyung's wavering voice.
“I don't want to talk about it,” Felix responded, folding his arms.
“He's right,” Yoongi swallowed, ignoring the soft gasp from Amethyst, “son. This has gone long enough, you don't need to be mean to Jimin. You don't have to be best friends with him or anything, just try to be nice, okay?”
“Why?” Felix's voice finally broke with emotion, “why should I be nice to the man who broke our family?”
Amethyst spoke up then, “Felix it's not…”
“I know what you're going to say, mom,” Felix cut in, “you're going to say it was dad's choice to make… You've always said that. But Jimin knew dad had a family, he also had a choice to make to lie. Dad can't divine, he would never have known.”
“You think your family is the only one I've watched break up because of my powers?” Jimin's voice came out, he sounded firm and bitter for once, “you think I should've lied? You have no idea how divination works, you should ask your mom.”
“He couldn't have lied, Felix. It's not possible, truth is woven into the core of the spell,” Amethyst stated quietly, softly.
“Then he could've just not said anything then!” Felix snapped, he was shaking and it was taking all of his willpower to not have his magic leak out of him.
He grabbed his breakfast tray off the table, “I'm going upstairs to eat.”
“Son?” Yoongi called after him, Felix ignored his dad.
“Jimin, I'm so sorry,” Amethyst moved quickly to wrap Jimin in a hug which made the matchmaker breakdown again. Yoongi made to go after Felix but Seokjin stopped him.
“I'll talk to him,” Seokjin said.
Yoongi and Amethyst's eyes went wide and a little afraid.
“Don't worry, I don't have a death wish. I'm just going to speak with him,” Seokjin stated.
Yoongi and Amethyst nodded before Seokjin went up the stairs. Yoongi entered the kitchen to make something for Jimin as Amethyst consoled him.
“You should cry too, y'know?” Jimin whispered to her, “I can feel all your turmoil.”
Amethyst chuckled softly, “the turmoil never goes away, Jimin.”
Seokjin sighed as he walked up the stairs. The scared looked in Yoongi's eyes with the hint of a threat in both that unsettled him had startled him.
He was no longer the feared Kim Seokjin he used to be.
Was there something in his countenance that gave him away?
He sighed again and knocked on the door of the room the three now sgated— Yoongi, Amethyst and Felix. He had tried to convince the kid to use a spare room or share with someone else to no avail.
Sure, Yoongi's room was big enough but he knew the former couple needed their privacy sometimes. Namjoon had been on his case about letting Amethyst and Yoongi still being a thing but he was pretty meh on it, Yoongi had enough love for all of them.
“Who is it?” Felix’s voice came through the door, it was subdued.
“It's Seokjin. Can I come in?”
“Sure, whatever.”
Seokjin fought the urge to smile fondly at the response, teens would be teens no matter the era. He opened his door and the sight on the bed made his heart clench.
Felix was in the middle of the bed, sniffling, looking absolutely miserable.
“Hey there, buddy.”
Felix wiped his face, “what are you going to do? Yell at me? Tell me that everyone made bad choices and I shouldn't blame Jimin and make an equally bad choice?”
“No. That would be treating you like a little kid. You hate that, don't you?”
Felix's eyes went wide as he looked at the older, then he shook his head, “no.”
“But don't you think it's a little childish what you did this morning to Jimin?”
Felix pouted a little.
“I think the mature thing to do would've been to make enough for all of us. You don't need to talk to him or be friends with him, no one is making you to. But the little things like this y'know? It's immature to cause drama like this.”
That seemed to get through to the kid.
“The yelling and screaming is childish, y'know?” Seokjin stated like he was just having a casual conversation, “the mature thing to do would be to talk to Jimin, at least once, hear him out.”
“That would be… Mature?”
Seokjin nodded, “that's what adults do.”
“I guess I'll think about it.”
Seokjin had to resist the urge to ruffle the kid's hair, Felix might murder him.
“Is your tantrum over? Are you going to unsuspend the members of your coven?” L’neta asked Audrey, folding her arms.
“I think the past couple of weeks has proven I don't need them, don't you think?”
“What if Seokjin decides to make Amethyst join his coven?”
Audrey scoffed, “I've planned for every possibility.”
“Even the one where Seokjin takes all of your coven members?”
Audrey frowned in thought for a few moments, making L'neta raise a brow in amusement.
“So… Not all then?”
“Seokjin can't plan for everything either.”
“Really?” L’neta asked, “what couldn't he possibly plan for?”
Audrey shrugged, “maybe if I seeded the Black woods and summoned Rhok’zan or just be anarchist and summon Auntie Nyan Nyan.”
“He couldn't plan for that cause anyone who did either of that would be stupid…” L'neta’s eyes went wide when she noticed the sadistic grin on Audrey's face, “no! No! It's stupid! You can't be thinking about it.”
Audrey chuckled, “it's an idea.”
“Two stupid ones. I don't even think Auntie Nyan Nyan’s necronomicon even exists and if it did, she's on a higher tier of Elder gods. As powerful as Namjoon is, even he couldn't create a potion strong enough to protect you from the effects of having her in your presence. Only one person has ever been able to survive her and it was in another universe and absolutely…”
“What did they do?!” Audrey cut into L'neta’s ramblings, “who was it?”
L'neta couldn't even be startled or offended by Audrey's interruption, she was used to it, “it's not important. I don't even remember…”
Audrey grabbed the jar with L'neta's real form in it and made as if to tip it over.
“Wait! Wait!” L'neta said quickly, “I’ll tell you…”
Audrey stopped, still holding the jar.
“It was Seokjin… But I don't think he remembers!”
“What?!”
“It was from the time when Muu was obsessed with hooking eldritch goddesses up with human lovers,” L'neta revealed, “he got me, my sister and then Auntie Nyan Nyan went out of her way to torture him as punishment. But he survived… Somehow… And he's in her nightmares.”
Audrey paused, her jaw practically on the floor.
Seokjin was a bigger problem than she had assumed.
So even in other universes, Seokjin was a horror to Eldritch elder goddesses.
What the fuck?
Jimin was swaddled in blankets on the couch, he was watching a romcom. Hoseok was on the floor sketching out a custom spell with Jungkook's help.
There was a brief knock on the door before Taehyung walked in, collapsing on the couch next to Jimin.
The matchmaker chuckled softly, “want to get comfy with me?”
Taehyung looked up and nodded with a pout. Jimin smiled fondly as he unfurled the blankets, Taehyung snuggled into Jimin's chest immediately and the latter covered up the both of them.
Hoseok cooed at the two as Jimin began to caress Taehyung's hair tenderly, the latter sighing as he relax.
As expected, Jungkook began to pout, “I want to snuggle too.”
Hoseok patted the youngest’s head, “we'll snuggle after this, okay? We're almost done with it.”
Jungkook nodded but still kept the pout.
“Where's Jin-hyung?” Taehyung asked, after a while of silence.
“You know how he is. He's holed up in the library researching stuff,” Hoseok answered.
“I wonder what he's looking for. He's just a kitchen witch,” Jungkook stated offhandedly.
The other three chuckled and Hoseok ruffled his hair again.
“Hyung is old… You really don't think he's gotten by JUST as a kitchen witch, do you?” Taehyung asked rhetorically.
Jungkook shrugged, “I don't know. But it's his focus so… He doesn't have much to study that he doesn't already know…”
There was a short knock on the door again and Namjoon came in, looking utterly exhausted. As soon as he saw the four, his eyes softened and he smiled tiredly at them.
“Ah, everyone's home!” Jungkook said excitedly, “I'll go call Amethyst noona so we can make dinner together.”
“Just hold on, finish the last sketch first,” Hoseok pleaded.
“Fine.”
Chapter 11

Chapter Text
Felix did not understand why Seokjin had put him and Jimin on dinner duty… Together.
Whatever was the old witch trying to achieve?
Putting Jimin in danger seemed most like it.
They hadn't spoken at all since their last fight but he hadn't made breakfast since then. Jin always woke up earlier to do it.
Jungkook had invited him to play Among us on stream with him after dinner so he was looking forward to that.
… Jungkook was his favorite.
He entered the kitchen to see Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin engrossed in conversation in the kitchen.
Jimin immediately went silent and Felix didn't need to be an empath to sense the tension and nervousness.
“What are we making?” Felix asked, not even looking in Jimin's direction.
“We were thinking spaghetti,” Taehyung responded.
Felix blinked, “stir fry?”
“Actually, I was thinking more of your mom's recipe. She won't tell me but I have a craving,” Jimin actually spoke up.
Felix let himself look up at the matchmaker witch whose entire body language was stiff, as though he was expecting to get struck by lightning any second.
‘Just try,’ Felix could hear his mom's voice say, ‘You don't have to be best friends but being cordial won't hurt. Do it for me.’
Felix sighed… He was doing this for his mother.
“Okay so we're going to need peppers, tomato sauce, onions.”
Jimin moved without saying a word. He seemed eager and it flashed across Felix's mind for a second that maybe, in another life, they could've gotten along.
And maybe Felix was low-key grateful Jimin didn't draw any attention to their exchange.
They made dinner in relative quiet and Jimin didn't bat an eye when Felix used some magic at the end.
The most important thing was that dinner was good and Seokjin seemed awfully pleased with himself.
Maybe progress could be made.

Amethyst startled awake when she felt Jimin's panic in her head.
Something was wrong.
Why was Jimin reaching out for her of all people?
She yawn, detangling herself from where she lay on Yoongi's bed between Yoongi and a pouty, recently fallen-asleep Felix.
When she stepped out into the hallway, everything was off. But physically and on a metaphysical level.
“Jimin?” she called out into the seemingly endless darkness.
She couldn't see a thing so she used Jimin's energy to locate him.
It was a near horrifying sight when she spotted Jimin bent over his crystal ball, shadows surrounding him. Jimin looked pale and he couldn't take his eyes off the crystal ball.
Holy fuck, Jimin was seeing.
And poor thing didn't know how to keep his visions enclosed to the seeing device. It was overpowering him.
Amethyst sighed, closing her eyes.
She thought happy thoughts— Felix’s birth, the day she and Yoongi got married, Felix’s first steps… How Yoongi had shed tears of joy that day.
A bright light emitted from her hands and entangled with the shadows.
She miscalculated how powerful Jimin was.
Next thing she knew the shadows were around her throat.
She screamed, but nothing came out.
She began to see what Jimin was seeing.
Water, as far as the eye could see…
Buildings sinking, people dying, the outer depths at their window.
She stood her ground, “Jimin?”, she choked out struggling to reach out for him.
Fuck, she wasn't prepared. She didn't know Jimin was THIS powerful.
In the visions, she saw Felix… His beautiful face pale, screaming for her. It brought her to her knees.
“Jimin…”
She saw Jimin in the midst of the vision, he looked small and afraid like he had no idea what was going going on, “fight it, fight it.”
“I… Can't,” ‘Jimin’ mouthed.
“If you don't, I'll have to hurt you.”
“Do it…”
Amethyst sighed, closing her eyes.
A loud clap of thunder sounded and lightning struck the house.
Chapter Text
Seokjin couldn't believe his eyes when he stepped into the living room. Amethyst’s eyes were glowing white and hers and Jimin's bodies were crackling with electricity.
Yoongi stepped out with a sleepy Felix in tow.
Yoongi rushed for them.
“Don't… Touch them!” Seokjin let out before turning to Felix.
Felix sighed and headed over to his mom. He embraced Amethyst, “mom, it's done. You're safe…”
And just like that, the electricity was gone and the lights in the house were working again.
Jimin, however, wasn't stirring.
Yoongi was already in the kitchen making a healing meal for the both of them, Felix joined him.
“What happened?” Seokjin asked Amethyst.
“He was seeing…”
Seokjin did not react.
“You're not surprised.”
“... Neither are you. We both know it would happen eventually… It's the same spell, it's just a matter of intonation,” Seokjin returned.
Amethyst pursed her lips, “you're asking me what I saw when I reached into the spillage.”
Seokjin gave a little nod.
Amethyst lowered her voice to a little whisper, “do they know Estir is here?”
Seokjin's eyes widened and Amethyst was stunned, she'd never seen Seokjin react like that to anything before. The eclectic witch was always in control of his thoughts and emotions and reactions.
It was even more jarring when Seokjin held a hand over her mouth looking around, none of his usual composure present, “the flowers can hear, remember?”
Amethyst was weak but she felt the distant energy of the azaleas, “they're not close enough to hear.”
“What else did you see?” Seokjin whispered.
“Water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink…”
“Rime of the Ancient Mariner…” Seokjin exhaled, getting up, “I'll… Be in my study.”
To say that Amethyst was tired of parts being questioned by Hoseok, Taehyung and Jungkook and parts being yelled at by Namjoon was an understatement. She was absentmindedly staring at her hands, watching the crackle of electricity from her fingers.
“Do you think I could control lightning if I tried hard enough?” Jungkook's quiet voice startled Amethyst from her thoughts. It'd been drizzling for hours and she'd just been sitting here, getting drenched.
“All elemental magic comes from two places, Kook. Either from unbridled rage or repressed trauma…”
“I guess mine's repressed trauma and Felix is unbridled rage… What's yours?”
“It’s both.”
Jungkook was silent for a while before he spoke, “does it hurt to control lightning? It hurts to control fire for me and everything else is just a chore. I like controlling water though…”
Amethyst huffed, “you still think of the elements like you control them… That's why you still struggle with them.”
Jungkook blinked, confused.
“What does Hoseok say about hydrokinesis?”
“... That his body is a conduit for the magic that helps the water to flow.”
“Control is the reason why Audrey is so good and so bad all at once. Magic cannot be controlled, it can only be harnessed and mastered.”
“But Seokjinnie-hyungie says I need to learn control…”
“Well he's wrong. Magic uses you, you don't use it. You master it through practice so it doesn't overwhelm you, like it did to Jimin this morning. Jimin had never seen before so the seeing magic just bent him to its will.”
“That sounds like control,” Jungkook said, confused.
Amethyst smiled, “mastering is basically you becoming friends with your magic. Because if you don't know your magic, you can't be a conduit for it… Think of you and your magic as a couple, a partnership.”
Jungkook paused, “what if I don't like my magic?”
Amethyst's eyes softened, “well that's mean… And also dangerous.”
Jungkook's voice lowers to a whisper, “I stole one of Jin-hyung’s power inhibitor bracelets.”
Amethyst's eyes widened, “you did… WHAT?!”
“I don't like my powers, noona,” Jungkook sniffles, “I wish I was… Normal or had different powers like Tae's or Yoongi-hyung’s…”
“You think magic is safe or easy? Tae can one day randomly choose to use the azaleas to trap us in the house and Yoongi's magic… Is unstable too. It's not always as simple as it not working and somebody getting a free plate. His magic can be used for evil too… Or go wrong on accident.”
Jungkook sighs, “does one ever truly master magic then?”
Amethyst sighs, “no.”
Chapter Text
Jimin was having a strange time adjusting to his new seeing powers. Amethyst and Seokjin didn't think they were new but to Jimin, they were. It was terrifying to him how close the spells were and the difference that had caused the incident was him saying it in a falling intonation instead of rising.
The difficulty was keeping the visions in.
Amethyst had devoted her time to teaching him how.
Right now he was watching Amethyst train with the others because Seokjin had practically been trapped in his study for days now. Only coming out for meals.
Yoongi had been leaving early for the restaurant because Seokjin hadn't gone there in days. As for the special orders of enchanted orders, Yoongi also had to manage doing those himself with Amethyst's help as well.
Jimin wondered how long it'd take before Yoongi would snap.
Namjoon would have certainly have.
“Is she part of us now?”
Jimin startled at the voice.
Speak of the devil…
Jimin didn't need to turn around to sense Namjoon's smile. He smiled too when he felt Namjoon hug him from behind.
“Did I scare you?”
“A little bit.”
“Sorry.”
Jimin shook his head dismissively, “it's fine. I'm just watching them… Tae just learned how to use the flowers as a shield, it's so cool. Noona taught him. And Hobi-hyung learned he can redirect lightning earlier.”
Namjoon's eyes widened, “what?”
“Noona's a great teacher…”
The sound of the front door slamming open caught Jimin's attention.
Yoongi was home.
Jimin heard angry stomping and grimaced.
***********
Seokjin looked.up when he heard the door to his study open.
It was a fuming Yoongi.
Seokjin sighed.
Yoongi was very chill about everything but did get angry it was difficult.
“You knew you wouldn't do it with me because of your constant obsession with this shit but you had the fucking audacity to take that big magical order from the children's hospital? What do you think this is? And don't give me that shit about philanthropy. You've never been philanthropic a single day in your long ass life and now pawning off the work on me? That's low even for you…”
“Listen to me, Yoongi. I'm working… This is more important than our business.”
“No it's not. Audrey is not a threat today and she wasn't a threat yesterday. You need to focus on more important things… Like the members of this coven like why Amy is currently training with Hobi, Tae and Kook when you're still alive and not currently incapacitated,” Yoongi returned.
“Fix yourself,” Yoongi finished before storming out of the study.
***********
“I don't think you're supposed to be that soft,” Amethyst was saying to Hoseok who was currently struggling with dancing to change water to ice.
“I though you said you skipped the mystical dancing classes?”
Amethyst smiled, “yes but I watched all the practical dancing. Since water requires elegant movements, I feel ice should be more stuff. Try it.”
Hoseok squinted but did as she said. He closed his eyes and started soft to lift the water then turned his movements rigid and it was suddenly very cold around him.
He opened his eyes and gasped as the water melted.
He hugged a stunned Amethyst excitedly.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa…” Amethyst smiled awkwardly.
Hoseok pulled away.
“Room for one more?”
Amethyst turned to see Seokjin at the backdoor, looking on with a suspicious smile, “I don't think I have anything to teach you.”
“How bout… A duel?”
Amethyst almost burst out laughing as the others gasped in horror, “it won't be a fair fight.”
“Just for sparring purposes… No lethal moves, no lightning…”
Amethyst walked closer to him so the others wouldn't hear, “no electromagnetic bullshit either. Just simple attack and defense magic is all.”
“You're not allowed to teleport either.”
“You're not playing fair… Also how did you even know that?”
Seokjin chuckled, “just like you. I know a lot of things. One of our abilities is literally knowledge after all.”
“Fine, no lightning, no electromagnetic nonsense, no teleportation…”
“And absolutely none of that heated light things you do.”
“You're being ridiculous,” Amethyst scoffed, “what am I supposed to use?”
“Whatever else is on the etc portion of your abilities list.”
Amethyst moved back to take a stance, “you suck. I'm going to kick your ass.”
Seokjin chuckled, “you're on.”
Chapter Text
The backyard was chaos and Amethyst held a power shield dome to protect herself from the seemingly endless onslaught from Seokjin.
The older witch had broken their established rules and Amethyst was beginning to to strain as she docked behind a rock for a moment before reemerging with a renewed vigor.
Seokjin smirked, “cheater!”
“You cheated first!” she called back.
“You could be honorable…”
“Okay, enough!” Yoongi cut in and air finally returned to the backyard.
The flowers seemed to heave a sigh of relief and Jungkook uncurled around himself.
“Hyung, Amy is not Audrey. She has nothing to prove and vice versa… Fuck I'm tired. Come, help me with orders and stop fooling around,” Yoongi sighed.

Last of five siblings and born with enough repressed power to end civilizations, Amethyst was discovered by Sihyuk at 14 years old.
She graduated top of her magic school and would've been a teacher there now if she hadn't turned down the offer. Back then she was a free spirit.
She was also one of the two witches in existence to turn down a spot at the elder witching council… The other one being Seokjin.
It sounded half-boring and half-tedious as the council just kinda sat around till their magicks led them to a lost magic soul.
Having lightning powers was extremely difficult. She still had to suppress.
Even till present day, if she felt too much anger, there'd be the telltale sound of thunder in the distance. Sure, the likelihood of accidentally electrocuting someone had gone away now… That was Felix's problem.
She had moved numbed for years till she found an unassuming Yoongi.
Everyone seemed disappointed when they told the story of how they met and fell in love.
It had just kinda… Happened.
One minute they were sipping wine, wearing dreamy smiles at opposite sides of the party and the next, they were outside by a fountain chatting about… Everything.
Then they kissed after he walked her home.
Yoongi was perfect, too perfect too lose.
He understood when she seemed moody and knew it wasn't out of malice but an endless fight to control her powers, even though she knew magic couldn't be control.
He understood when she yelled at him not to touch her, again not out of malice, but because magic was spilling out of her and she didn't want to hurt him.
He knew when to give her space and when to just… Be there.
He was supposed to be her person… Till he wasn't.
She knew he'd fallen for Jimin before the matchmaking spell was done, She had only been in denial.
How could he not?
Jimin with his soft features and lovely approach to life.
Amethyst sighed.
She suddenly realized she'd spaced out when she felt Yoongi's weight no longer on her, she reached for him, “wha…?”
It was their first evening in weeks without Felix hogging up the bed with them. The latter currently streaming with Jungkook.
“You're not here… You've gone off.”
Amethyst blinked, “oh… Sorry…”
Yoongi pulled her into his arms, “it's okay. What are you thinking about?”
“The past… The present…”
“You always did that,” Yoongi said with a smile, “you never changed.
“Neither did you,” Amethyst smiled back then sighed, “we should probably get dressed before little Legolas gets back.”
Yoongi snorted, “have you seen him? He's as tall as Hoseok now, he's not little anymore.”
Amethyst chuckled softly, “whatever.”
She stretched for a moment before rolling out of the bed to get dressed.
