Chapter Text
POV- Laura
I checked the time on my phone once again. There were a few people in the bar, mostly teenagers or businessmen behind their laptops. There's still over an hour left in my shift. I can't wait to get home so I can change out of this damn juniform.
Then the sound of the doorbell echoed through the bar. Two teenagers entered through the door.
The girl had long curly brown hair, was wearing denim shorts, a tied green top and wedge shoes, and had sunglasses on her face.
A boy was standing next to her, he had short brown hair, jeans, a white T-shirt with acred checkered flannel on top, red converses, and, like the brunette, he was wearing sunglasses.
But what really caught my attention was the smell.
This sweet, almost choking aroma. Like chocolate and flowers at the same time mixed with some metallic smell.
The smell of blood.
They didn't behave in any unusual way. They sat down at one of the tables by the window, looked through the menu, and when the waitress came up to them, they placed their order. While waiting for the food, they talked and laughed. The girl showed her companion something on her phone that made him laugh.
I didn't want to make a fuss, so I decided to keep an eye on them. The smell of blood was so faint that, in fact, one of them could have simply injured themselves quite seriously some time ago.
They spent another hour or so, before the boy approached the register to pay. He was the one who smelled like something chocolatey with a slight metallic feel to it. When he held out his hand to pay, you could see that his hand was tied wit a bandage.
Ha, so I'm paranoid after all.
Through the window you could see them launching towards a large white car. There is only one question left.
Are they just visitors or will they stay here?
