He love him. That was the problem. He love both of them and he had to choose. between this man who know both of him. Wrench and Regie. And this new one who only know Reginald.
A person who was his person , best friends with he click since day one. Who never judge him for his weird love for technologie. For wearing his mask ever time he step out of bed. Who never pry about him and his past before Deadsec. Or what he was doing with his free time. Who support him when he decide that he wanted to learn how to be more Reginald than Wrench.
Another who only know the man behind the mask. The quiet and shy Man, who love technologie and with dream. Who is as fun and who approch him becausehe was interest. A man whoknow about his free time.
And he knew he can’t have both of men. He didn’t want to have both. Not this way. He just love them both. But he can’t have share one with another.
He end up marrying the second one. He prefer not trying to mess up his precious bromance. He made his feeling quiet and let they playing flirt be just that. a joke between the two man. Fun banter. He wasn’t sure the other was interest in him this way. And he didn’t want to found out. Maybe it was simple for him.
And it worked. For a time he was really happy with the one he dont prononce the name anymore. They love each other. Kiss and date all this what he call once bullshit. They end up go live aboard to London. The other worked with different company’ tech or not. He have his star-up of robotics that he, to his big surprise really enjoy. He even open a Little to the other of his past. before Deadsec, during deadsec. nota lot but more than he ever did with someone. Except Marcus. But Marcus was his exception of all his rules. He came capable of living without his mask. Even if he remarke one when some rumour of bullshit with Deadsec London. But he follow that far way. Really far.
They were happy. until they weren’t. Zane end up learning about his love for Marcus. he didn’t take it well. He didn’t want to understand. They fight. A lot. And he try so hard to explain that he can love them both in a way. That he choose him over the other. But he only meet deaf ears. He even decide to cut contact with his friends from Deadsec san fransico. It wasn’t enough.
his deal with Rempart begin to went south. Rempart he meet via Zane. His husband end up cheating on him. He found out when he come home from another shitty day for seeing him fucking a random woman. its hurst like hell. The other try to excuse himself. After he blame all of this on Reginald. He break Reginald heart with harsh word.
Regie was done. Wrench was back.
With the Bombing, his vendetta against Rempart, his meeting with the legendary Fox and his nephew, and his involment with Deadsec London, he feel Alive again. He only miss one thing. His friends from San Fran. His family. But he didn’t know how to come to them again. So he listen again and again the voicemail from Marcus.
It was the mission from Jordi. With Marcus, that convince him to go back. He take his mask, some clothes and with the help of Jordi he go back to San Fransisco, 05 year after leaving. He tell no one except the Pearce, for watching Wrench Jr Sergei and Little Jordi. He didn’t know yet if he going to stay or if he will come back to london.
He was really nervous and with a lot of breath and a lot of thinking, he juste take his phone and call the number he remember from memories….
