Chapter Text

It was a stormy night in the last city. Rain pour down from the sky. a member of the vanguard, Commander Zavala walking into a room filled with cameras. He saw technicians working on them Zavala went to one of them to see if they were ready.

Commander Zavala: (Walking to a technician) Is it ready?

Human Technician: just about- there. All set and ready to go.

Malcolm: Ok Commander, everything is set. Once we go live every channel across the globe will see and hear you.

Malcolm could see an look on the commander's face. Malcolm went up to his commander to see what was wrong

Commander Zavala: Is all this really necessary?

Malcolm: Sir, I understand your concerns about this. But they are going to find out the full story sooner or later. The traveler didn't just brought us back to life to defend it but gave us a chance to defend earth again and the new life on it. This planet already lost a lot from the first collapse. I don't want another to happen where these people will suffer a similar fate, one where we won't survive.

Commander Zavala: Your right, we can't keep them in the dark forever. (walks infront of the camera) They need to be ready for what comes next.

Human Technician 1: Lights?

Human Technician 2: Lights!

Cutting back to Malcolm we se the rest of his fireteam appear as well as there ghosts appearing.

Hatch-7 : You think they won't be in a panic.

Cam: Better than lying to there faces.

Malcolm : He's right. It's best to let them know what's coming than keeping them in the dark.

Human Technician: We are about to go live in 5, 4, 3, 2, -

In the streets of the last city when suddenly Zavala's face appear on all the last city's jumbotrons. elsewhere, similar events were happening across the globe. Every T.V., jumbotron, hologram advertisement even radio's were having something Zavala related. Everybody was confused but after a few seconds Zavala began to speak.

Commander Zavala: (breaths in and breaths out)People of earth. This is Commander Zavala of the Vanguard. By now you probably heard the rumors of what's been happening. I'm here to inform you that these claims are true. Humanity has endured a devastating blow.

there was pause from the commander but he continued to relay his message for everyone to here.

Commander Zavala: Vanguard scouts have confirmed that Io, Titan, Mars, and Mercury... have disappeared. We don't know why.

(switch over to ana bray working on an exo body and a scene in CN city at dexlabs where Dexter and Mandark are working on and launching warmind warsat while hearing Zavala's message.

Commander Zavala: We have lost contact with Deputy Commander Sloane and Gensym Scribe Asher Mir.

(switch to a scene in the last city where a guardian ships are launching from the hangers and another scene in avengers academy where we see the avenger's academy guardians of the galaxy takeoff in there ship with Captain Marvel following behind them)

Commander Zavala: We are deploying guardians to all corners of the system to find answers, and some of your heroes have choses to assist.

(Cut back to Zavala's face on one of the last city's jumbotrons)

Commander Zavala: And with those answers, we will form a plan.

(Cut to a scene where Ikora Rey is comforting a child)

Commander Zavala: In the meantime... ...We ask that no combatant civilians remain within the safety of earth under the protection of the traveler and your heroes.

(cut to Gotham city's Jumbotrons)

Commander Zavala: Do not lose hope.

(cut to Zootopia's jumbotrons in all of it's districts)

Commander Zavala: Humanity has survived many horrors. We have done so through the strength of our community.

(cut to an unknown location where we se Mara Sov sitting on her throne alone with her thoughts)

Commander Zavala: Through steadfast commitment to one another

(cut to the inside of a KND moonbase where we see multiple KND officers watching Zavala's message)

Commander Zavala: Stay strong.

(cut to the jumbotrons from Adventure City)

Commander Zavala: Be brave.

(cut to a sky view of the last city and the traveler)

Commander Zavala: The traveler protects us... ...and we will protect you.

(cuts back to Zavala in the room where he is broadcasting his message)

The Guardians and your heroes will come through. They always do.

The live came to a close and Zavala's message ended.

Otto: Let's hope this will keep some of there spirits up.

Gibson: it has to. They need to be ready, We need to be ready for what's coming.

Malcolm: Agree.

As the team were talking amongst each other a message was received by Malcolm's ghost, Nova.

Nova: Just got a message from Dexter. He said he and Mandark are making final preparations which will take awhile. he'll contact us when they're ready.

Malcolm: Understood. Let's hope this "ancient power" gives us a clue on what we are dealing with.

With that, the fireteam left the room to make there own preparation for there trip for Europa.

[Scene shows Dexter Venator ship jumping out of hyperspace and heading to Europa]
To sink or swim, we just gotta' survive in this

[shows the ship landing and heroes walk out of the ship and looking around]
Dog-eat-dog world where we live, but we ask

[title card appears infront of horizon for a few seconds then disappears]
what went wrong? (what went wrong?)

[shows the heroes going through the snowy and windy environment in their transportation vehicles.]
Survival of the fittest only means surviving fate

[shows more of Europa's environments and remnants of the golden age]
Face the world that our wisdom will only tell me

[shows Exo Stanger, Drifter, Eris Morn, and two other figures staring at the pyramid]
what went wrong? (what went wrong?)

[shows Warlock arm armor being but on then shows Eramis in her base looking at her arm with stasis coursing through her arm]
I've' paid my dues...

[shows titan leg armor being put on then show the Exo Stranger in the Beyond sitting by the fire]
I've sold my soul...

[Shows hunter cloak armor being put on then shows Variks on top of a building in Charon's Crossing thinking to himself]
So tell me what is left for me,

[shows a three-way split screen of Fireteam: Roulette putting on their helmets then charges into enemy fallen in their Europa (CRYSTOCRENE) armor]
When I've given up everything?

[shows Dexter and some of the others inside the venator overviewing Europa on the monitor]
All this changing scenery...

[shows a pathway through the glassway and see a vex portal at the end]
It Means nothing to me,

[shows the fireteam in meditation with the splinter of darkness with the Exo Stranger watching them]
Even though, it beautiful, i don't feel a thing

[shows Eramis reaching for the Traveler as it distance away from her]
There's only silence in my mind

[shows Eramis with her trusted lieutenants behind her as well as some fallen followers]

Like there's nothing inside my soul

[shows Eramis in Riiss-reborn overlooking all of Europa from her balcony]
I don't know, why I once dreamed of this view?

[shows the heroes fighting fallen and their brigs]

All this changing scenery...

[shows Hatch-7 going on top of the brig while going high and putting a grenade at it's weak point causing it to explode]
It Means nothing to me,

[show scene of them fighting with Eramis's lieutenants Phylaks, Kridis, Praksis]
Even though, it beautiful, i don't feel a thing

[show a facility in a unknown region of Europa then pans over to space where we see a space station crashing back to the surface]

There's only silence in my mind

[shows a giant mechanical head in a lab with it's eyes activating glowing red]
Like there's nothing inside my soul

[shows hatch-7 looking at a reflection of himself and see himself back when he was human]
I don't know, why I once dreamed of this view?

[shows Eramis gathering her forces in an assembly]
THIS WORLD HAS LOST IT'S CLARITY!

[shows Eramis freezing some of her enemies up to their necks]
THERE'S NO JUSTICE, NO MORALITY!

[shows the venator being under attack with a silhouette of a fallen lieutenant leading the assault]
EVEN WITH ALL THE GOOD IN THIS WORLD!

[shows fireteam roulette activating their Stasis abilities]
ALL IT TAKES IS A SINGLE BLOW!

[shows the fireteam charging at Eramis, then Flash. the transition to shows Fireteam roulette and their ghosts near the edge of a cliff starring up at Europa's Aurora Borealis with the Pyramid ship in the background]
