    Ten days before the world ends Kaladin reconciles with Lyn (a.k.a. gets laid because, come on, he deserves it). She invites him to *spear practice* and they *do practice* (Lyn is taking pregnancy precautions). After a couple false starts, first encountering Lopen, and then encountering Kaladin’s family, where Kaladin’s propriety/innocence causes him to get teased by all (hilarity and wholesomeness ensue), Kaladin and Lyn finally make it to Kaladin’s bedroom. Kaladin learns to relinquish control and be protected (mostly in the bedroom) because, let’s be real, he should be protected and cared for at all costs.
