The Right Thing

Summary:

Captain Catra… the name meant a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

To First Mate Scorpia, Catra was her best friend who had escaped from the Fright Zone with her, giving her a new life and a much greater purpose than anything the horrid witch and ex-lord of the Horde had promised.

For Pilot Entrapta, Catra was a shield against a world that had never really understood her nor tolerated her. She was also the only person to ever successfully steal some of the most advanced technology in all Etheria, a Horde ship, and she was content to let Entrapta play with all of it.

For the princesses and their kingdoms, the feline was a dangerous bandit and a terrible nuisance.

However, for Adora, Princess of Brightmoon, the name of Captain Catra bore no importance at all...

OR

Here is yet another pirate AU where the name of Captain Catra will become VERY important to Princess Adora whether she likes it or not... ;)

Notes:

Salineas had had to abandon its sea trade due to her regular and vicious attacks, making it a significantly less powerful kingdom than it used to be.

However, for Adora, Princess of Brightmoon, the name of Captain Catra bore no importance at all. In fact, the first time she heard the name was when she was relating all that had happened that fateful morning when she had foolishly accepted her sister’s bet to go into the Whispering Woods and break into a notoriously haunted ruin. Her mother, Queen Angella, turned increasingly white as the story continued:

“So, um… I managed to get down to the lower levels. You know, the bits that are so dark that no one’s ever bothered to, well, explore…? Anyway, I was just wandering around when I guess I… stepped on something? It was really weird. There was a blinding light and a lady was speaking to me. She was… purple. And pixelated. I think she must’ve been a hologram. Anyway, she just kept repeating something about a failsafe and somebody named She-Ra, and that’s when I felt myself burning. Seriously, it was crazy! I suddenly felt like everything was on fire and it was so hot I couldn’t even scream! Anyway, I passed out and woke up outside the ruin.” Glimmer quickly interrupted her sister:

“That’s when I found her, Mom. I swear I didn’t think she’d actually be dumb enough to really go in there!” Angella groaned in exasperation:

“Glimmer, do you seriously not know how Adora’s mind works? After all these years? Of course, she was going to go in there! You challenged her to! And Adora-” The queen’s rebuke was stopped by something suddenly glowing under Adora’s robe, which had been covering her shirt. Adora smiled awkwardly:

“Yeah, um… I’ve now got some kind of… holographic tattoo?” Angella rose from her seat and rushed over to Adora. She gently lifted Adora’s robe to see exactly that: a holographic tattoo. One written in such an ancient language that even she could not decipher it. The queen collapsed into the chair beside her daughter’s.

“This is… terrible. You’ve been branded by this planet. I… I don’t know what to do.” Bow, the bodyguard assigned to the princesses, finally spoke up:

“If I may, your Majesty, wouldn’t it make sense to mount an expedition to the Fright Zone? It’s the oldest place on this planet and we’re certain to find answers there.” The queen almost hissed:

“Are you crazy?! What about Hordak and his witch? They’re merciless, terrifying monsters! Do you know how long I’ve fought, how much I’ve fought, to protect us from them? You are not going there!” Glimmer grabbed her mother’s hand desperately:

“But, Mom, we have no idea what could happen to Adora now she has come in contact with the stuff inside this planet! We need to get her help! We’ll only be able to do that in the Fright Zone.”

“No” Angella groaned, “You’ll only be able to do that if you can find Entrapta.” Bow gasped:

“The mad princess?” Glimmer nodded:

“They say she did what Adora did, only worse. The planet spoke to her for so long that she could only hear it and nothing else. She became obsessed with learning its secrets, to the point that she destroyed her own kingdom in the search for answers…”

“And she found them” Angella sighed, “No one knows half as much about this planet as she does. You’ll need to find her if you want to find out what happened to you.” Adora, who had been quiet this whole time, finally spoke up:

“So, we just need to go and find her, right? No Fright Zone excursion required?” Bow then sighed:

“It may still be required. Entrapta now pilots the ship of Captain Catra.” Glimmer put on her scariest voice:

“Captain Catra, the most ruthless pirate to ever roam Etheria’s seas! She and her cursed crewmates come from the Fright Zone and capture our ships, leaving no survivors!” Bow interrupted:

“That’s not true. They leave tons of survivors. They just burn a lot of ships and steal a lot of stuff. So much so that Salineas grounded all their ships last year.” Adora raised her eyebrow:

“Seriously? I didn’t know that! I haven’t even heard of this ‘Captain Catra’! I’m Brightmoon’s military commander; why didn’t you send me to deal with her?” Glimmer winced as their mother glared at her and then Adora:

“Adora, I made a decision last year which I shared with Glimmer and General Juliet but not with you. I think it’s time you know.” Bow started to leave but the queen raised her hand:

“No, Bow. You can stay. I decided that Glimmer will be this kingdom’s military commander as well as the heir to my throne.” Adora gasped:

“What? Why?” Angella sighed:

“Because you’re too hot-headed! Look what happened today! And what about last year, during the skirmish with the Horde’s forces on our northern border?” Adora grunted in frustration:

“Not this again! I know we destroyed one of our own villages by accident but no one was hurt and we won! Does no one care that we won?” The queen shook her head:

“Victory is only one goal during a fight. You don’t seem to get that, Adora. And, while I don’t condone Glimmer challenging you to do something so utterly stupid, I expect a military commander to swallow her pride and assess when a situation is beyond her. You had no idea what was down there yet you went anyway, without support, and without any kind of plan. That’s why things like Captain Catra have been kept from you. You don’t need to know.” Adora was so completely shocked and ashamed that she said nothing, slumping into her chair like the defeated combatant she was. Several moments later, Bow finally had the courage to break the silence:

“…maybe we could, just the three of us, go to Salineas and ask around? I’m sure someone will have an idea of where Captain Catra’s ship is. Then we can commandeer a ship, run up a flag of truce, and ask for Entrapta to help us!”

“In exchange for what?” Glimmer gnarled. She was not sure why she suddenly felt so aggressive, and she definitely had not meant to direct that aggression at Bow of all people. Honestly, she had felt terrible about hiding all of this from Adora, but Angella had insisted that it would be better to “let her know gently”. That basically meant ‘leave it until she asks questions.’ But Adora trusted her family and would never ask questions. Glimmer knew this and still she had said nothing. And the look of overwhelming sadness and betrayal on Adora’s face completely broke her heart. Bow then cleared his throat:

“We would be giving her the chance to study a strange holographic tattoo gifted to us by the sentient planet we live on! Come on, what could be a better bargain than that?” Glimmer sighed angrily, still frustrated at how awful she felt:

“I don’t mean Entrapta. I mean Catra. What can we give her to make sure she won’t kill us?”

“The sword”. Everyone stared at Angella in surprise. The queen then beckoned for General Juliet to approach. The officer had been standing still in the corner with a couple of guards up until now. With a stiff salute, the armoured woman stepped forward, withdrew her impressive sword, and placed it on the table in front of the queen. Then she backed away. At this point, Angella finally stood up and cleared her throat too:

“This sword was found with Adora, all those years ago. Since then, it’s become a symbol of this kingdom and has always been wielded by my highest-ranking general. It is worth a lot and is much older than it looks.” Adora’s eyes grew wide as she looked closer at the sword she had only ever seen but never touched. Angella then continued her speech:

“Catra will accept this as payment for figuring out what happened to you. And, if she doesn’t, then there truly is no hope. This is the very best I can offer.” Adora stared in astonishment at her adoptive mother, now utterly confused as to whether she hated the blonde or loved her immeasurably. Angella seemed to sense Adora’s confusion and sighed one last time:

“Look, Adora, I’m sorry if you think I’m being too harsh with you. I’m just… concerned for you. Ever since I found you all those years ago, you have shown incredible potential. But, well, you’ve yet to hit the mark. I authorize you and Glimmer to go to Salineas and follow Bow’s plan, accompanied by him as always. Find a captain who knows the seas and is loyal to the kingdoms. Get them to take you to Catra and then, when you find her, offer this sword in exchange for letting you meet with Entrapta. I trust you’ll be able to handle yourselves. My one condition is that you must not, under any circumstances, enter the Fright Zone. Are we clear?” Adora nodded silently:

“Crystal.”

Chapter Text

Shadow Weaver sat sullenly upon her throne, watching uninterested as her minions paraded in front of her. To be honest, there was not much else to do in the Fright Zone aside from march around in carefully choreographed movements.

The Horde itself was never designed to be an invading force. It was created by Hordak, a marooned clone of a great intergalactic emperor, in order to try and escape the planet. Hordak had shown insolence by renaming himself and the emperor had banished him to Etheria: a cursed artificial moon which had belonged to the empire the emperor had defeated.

Hordak had been alone at the beginning, in a barren wasteland made of nothing but cold hard metal. But he was resourceful and, using his knowledge of the ancient empire’s technology, he had been able to take apart bits of the planet itself to make what was intended to be a teleportation device. He was certain it would work and had activated it without any hesitation. That was a very unwise decision.

Not only did the explosion scar him terribly but it set off an incredible chain reaction where all kinds of alien life from across the galaxy suddenly manifested on the artificial planet. Suddenly, there were trees, animals, water, and all manner of different people and cultures, now all trapped just like Hordak. The machine had teleported life to him but had failed to send him to a better one.

Instead of embracing the beauty which now surrounded him, and celebrating the fact there was now hope for survival, Hordak’s heart grew even darker. He began kidnapping the numerous souls who now found themselves trapped on the planet. He imprisoned some, brainwashed others, and forced every single one of them to build him great and terrible machines which would one day, hopefully, allow him to finally escape. He never succeeded, however, thanks to Shadow Weaver.

Shadow Weaver was a sorceress from a planet of witches. Unbeknownst to anyone else, she had been banished by her people as well; sent into exile for trying to take power from her fellow sorcerers. Hordak’s machine saved her life as well as his. It gave her a fresh start with new power to steal. She deliberately sabotaged every mechanical atrocity he built, all the while manipulating him into believing it was the fault of others. She needed him to stay on the planet to help her gain control of it, and the best way to do that was through military conquest.

Seeing that the prisoners were likely to rebel the second they were given weapons, Shadow Weaver turned to the brainwashed younglings to create the army which would become known as the Horde: a fearsome technologically advanced group whose only goal was victory. However, there was something Shadow Weaver had not considered.

While Hordak had captured a lot of people, he had not captured everyone. Those who escaped him rallied to Angella, an angelic alien from an immortal race, who quickly took it upon herself to become queen of the free kingdoms and to protect its peoples against the attacks of the Horde. Shadow Weaver had never thought much of these ‘savages’ as she called them, but was soon proven very wrong in her assumptions.

There were a great many battles, some extremely bloody and fierce. None ended in victory for the Horde and soon Shadow Weaver was forced to retreat. It had been at this time that Hordak had finally gotten wise to the witch’s schemes and there had been a great and glorious fight for ownership of the Horde. This was the fight which Shadow Weaver had won, and Hordak was never seen again.

Or so the legend went.

The reality was far more sadistic and involved two small girls: Catra and Adora. Both had been young, promising brainwashed cadets in Shadow Weaver’s army. And both had skills which surpassed those of their peers.

Catra was a Magicat, an alien race of anthropomorphic felines who had the combined abilities of the fiercest wild cats and the most intelligent of humans. And Adora, well, she was seemingly the last surviving member of the ancient race who had originally created the planet. Shadow Weaver had seen that, ever since she could speak, Adora could communicate with Etheria as if it was a living being.

Shadow Weaver had always kept these two children close to her and, when the time came to kill Hordak, she sent them to do it. Despite them being less than ten years old, Hordak was merciless and nearly killed both girls before they finally ended him. It was at this point where Catra had suddenly defied her mentor, who she finally saw for she really was. The feline dragged a badly wounded Adora out of the rubble after the fight and, with the help of another friend of hers, had carried her to an unmanned Horde ship and had successfully stolen it. She had also somehow stolen one of the planet’s relics which Shadow Waver had had under lock and key – a sword of incredible power which only Adora had been able to use.

Catra now roamed the high seas as a famous pirate and Adora was a princess under the personal protection of Queen Angella. Shadow Weaver had no idea how any of that had happened but she was eager to find out. Sadly, every effort to kidnap Adora had failed, including the attack on Brightmoon’s northern border which had been specifically designed to lure her out. And every attempt to bring Catra back had ended with disastrous results.

The witch sighed dramatically. She knew there was so much untamed power in this place, power Hordak had been tapping into but never enough to truly exploit. Adora was the key to mastering it and she needed it. She craved it. And it was at this moment that something happened.

The ground began to tremble and bits of the ceiling began to fall in. A whole cliff in the Fright Zone collapsed and soon every fearsome member of the mighty Horde army was running for their lives. All except Shadow Weaver. She watched with fascination as the ground itself lit up and a voice boomed:

“Heart of Etheria activated. Three cycles until target is in range. Countdown set for three cycles.” Then something even more fascinating happened: the sky changed. Normally the witch would never look up, not being one anyone would consider optimistic. But she could sense the air around her like a second skin, and that’s how she sensed the change in Etheria’s gravity – the planet was moving.

Someone had pressed something, something which would only activate if one of the original creators of this planet had ordered it. Shadow Weaver growled:

“Adora…” The witch then turned around and screeched:

“Force Captain Lonnie! Report!” Lonnie was a simple human whose main special skills were her strength and sheer tenacity. She ran up to her superior, flanked by her two sergeants.

“The base is compromised, ma’am. We need to move to higher ground immediately. A preliminary count shows us with over 150 casualties.” Shadow Weaver narrowed her eyes:

“Move everyone to Hordak’s old launch site. Save as many of our weapons as you can. Prioritize that over everything else.” Lonnie furrowed her brow:

“But… what about the wounded, ma’am? Medical supplies, rations… are we really leaving all of that behind in favour of Hordak’s toys?” The witch leered over her commander and her eyes burned virtual holes through her head:

“Everything. We. Are. Leaving. Everything. Do I make myself clear?” Lonnie gulped and nodded:

“Crystal.”

***

“So, you’re the princesses of Brightmoon? I’m thrilled to finally meet both of you!” Glimmer raised her eyebrow at the young and boisterous sea captain Princess Mermista had recommended to them. She found him to be a bit too full of himself to really know what he was doing. Bow, on the other hand, thought he was amazing:

“Excuse me but is it true you repelled a whole armada of Horde ships by setting your own fleet on fire, trapping them in the depths of the Fright Zone forever?” Sea Hawk nodded enthusiastically:

“Absolutely! But it was actually two fleets. Mermista had- has a lot of faith in my abilities!” Bow’s eyes grew wide with wonder and he gasped excitedly. Adora was not interested, however. In fact, she had barely said a word since they had left the palace.

She kept playing her mother’s speech over and over in her head. Was she really not good enough to be a leader? She was far more military minded than Glimmer. Not to mention way less hot-headed. That was what really bothered her.

Glimmer had been the one who really destroyed that village, not Adora. Angella had not known that because, like a good commander, Adora had taken responsibility for the actions of her soldiers. And now, while she was being punished, Glimmer was not and was even being handed her job. It was beyond unfair and Adora wondered how she could make this right without telling on her sister. She knew her sister was a good person and had probably been really torn up about all this. The fact she had kept quiet about what really happened said more about how scared she was of disappointing her mother than any negative sentiment she may have held against Adora. Then again, it seemed there was another reason Angella was trying to keep her locked away in Brightmoon – something Adora needed to find out.

She had always known she was adopted: a refugee and apparent survivor of a great Horde conquest. She had been found on the steps of Brightmoon’s palace, battered, bruised and without the faintest idea of how she ended up there or who she even was. All she had had was a torn-up Horde uniform which looked so bad it had to have been stolen. The nametag said ‘Adora’ and the name had stuck.

The blonde had known she was safe with Angella and her husband, Micah. She had cried with happiness when she had been officially adopted on her tenth birthday (Micah had apparently been able to work out the date using magic). She had also cried her heart out when Micah was killed by the Horde a few years later. That was when she became the new military commander and Glimmer started training to become the new queen. But it had not been enough.

Adora was not sure how she was not worthy, or what more she could have done, but she was determined to prove them all wrong. The sword that had apparently always been hers felt heavy strapped to her back, but she did not mind. She would not part with it until she got what she needed: a meeting with Entrapta.

Chapter Text

Catra glared at the sky as it moved directly above her. It had been Entrapta who had first noticed something was wrong, right after the earthquake had hit them and caused the boat to nearly capsize. It had been Scorpia’s quick thinking that had prevented that from happening. But then Entrapta had looked up, screamed “the sky is moving”, and now no one knew what to do. Least of all Entrapta.

The “mad princess” was an alien with human features and sentient purple hair which was always moving around excitedly, doing the job of an entire crew. But, ever since the sky started moving, it had stopped doing that. In fact, Entrapta had stopped doing anything and had locked herself in her cabin. Both Catra and Scorpia had tried to coax her out but to no avail.

Scorpia herself was getting really scared. Because Entrapta was their pilot and basically their crew, the ship was now adrift and non-functional. But Catra was worried about bigger things. She knew that the only reason Entrapta would freak out like this was if the planet was speaking to her. Something was very wrong and she had no idea what it could be.

For a fleeting moment, the feline considered whether they should return to the Fright Zone. Whatever had happened was almost certainly the witch’s fault and maybe killing her would fix it. The thought made Catra grin insidiously. She hated that bitch. It was just at that point when Scorpia yelled:

“There’s a ship! THERE’S A SHIP!” Catra quickly looked back down and scanned the horizon. She quickly made out the vessel headed straight for them. It was very small and would be no match for them, even without Entrapta’s help. Yet they continued to charge towards them.

Catra groaned. While she usually enjoyed sinking ships and stealing loot, she was just not in the mood:

“Fire the cannon, Scorpia! Give them a warning shot.” Scorpia, an alien with scorpion-like claws and a tail, leapt onto the platform of the railgun, a big metal rotating gun on the prow of the ship, and activated its laser. She fired it so it merely singed the prow of the oncoming ship – not enough to start a fire but enough to leave a mark. And more than enough to demonstrate the power of the ship’s weapon system. This did not seem to deter the little vessel, however. Catra groaned louder:

“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me! Fire again – set their sail on fire!” Scorpia nodded nervously. She understood why Catra did not want to have a fight, especially with Entrapta not even being on deck with them. But even at her most ruthless, the feline had never stooped to sinking a ship before its occupants were safely on-board their own. But captain’s orders were captain’s orders.

“Firing at the sail!” she yelled. The sail immediately caught fire and the oncoming ship stopped dead in its tracks. Catra tensed up as she waited for someone to put the fire out, but no one did. In fact, the fire spread until it engulfed the entire vessel. It was at this point that she finally pulled out her telescope to try and see if anyone was even on-board, lifting up her fake eyepatch as she did so. That was when she saw a human male she recognized as Sea Hawk literally dancing around in the fire, laughing and shouting for joy.

“Oh for the love of-”

“CATRA, WATCH OUT!” Catra had felt the foreign presence behind her seconds before Scorpia yelled. She ducked instinctively and rolled forward, narrowly missing the swing of a large golden sword. She then turned and rose dramatically to see who could have gotten so close to defeating her. The sight that greeted her almost took her breath away but she managed to hide it. Instead, she smirked and unsheathed her claws:

“Hey Adora.”

***

Adora’s plan had been a simple one. She had quickly realized, after they had all set sail on Sea Hawk’s boat, that the captain really was full of himself. He had never outmanoeuvred anyone, yet alone come up with any kind of strategy to fend off or even escape from the Horde’s navy. In truth, he was an arsonist and got a kick out of setting his ship on fire. Which was why the Horde steered clear of him and raised a lot of questions as to how he was still alive.

Following this revelation, Adora had taken command. She got Sea hawk to reveal that Captain Catra’s ship was always just outside the Fright Zone because, due to Salineas closing its gates to trade, now the only ships with any loot belonged to the Horde.

Glimmer had not been so keen to go anywhere near the Fright Zone but Adora had insisted on it. And that was how they found themselves so close to the very place they were banned from entering, charging straight for the most feared ship in Etheria’s seas. Bow pleaded with the princesses:

“Raise the flag of truce! RAISE THE FLAG OF TRUCE!!!”

“No.” Adora almost growled the word. She continued, oddly calm in the face of extraordinary danger:

“Captain Catra is a pirate and there is only one language she will understand. We’re going to attack her.” Bow went pale:

“How?! She commands a warship while this is A SAILBOAT!!!” Adora nodded, still keeping her cool:

“Agreed. She’ll fire at us before we even get close. I propose we let her set this ship on fire while we swim over there, sneak on-board and take her by surprise.” It was at this moment that Catra did exactly as predicted, firing at the prow of the ship and marking it.

“That was a warning shot! THAT WAS A WARNING SHOT!!!”

“Bow, SHUT UP!” Glimmer yelled. She really did love Bow, who was a very dashing dark-skinned human with a heart of gold, but his panicked reaction to Adora’s foolhardy plan was not helping her own internal panic at what was happening. The princess felt awful because she knew, as Brightmoon’s military commander, she should be telling Adora to stand down and do what her mother had ordered. But she could not. She would not. This was Adora’s moment to prove herself and she would not take that away from her. It was then that another laser was shot, setting the sail on fire.

Bow turned to Glimmer and, as if in total sync, the pair of them dived into the water. Adora turned to Sea Hawk, who was now seemingly ecstatic about his ship being on fire, and said:

“Thanks for the ride, Captain. We’ll take it from here.” With that, the blonde did a smooth dive into the water and swam straight for Captain Catra’s vessel. Despite having a large golden sword strapped to her back, Adora made it to the ship first and managed to pull herself out of the water and climbed on-board. And that was when she saw her.

Captain Catra looked like she came out of a dream. She had a flowing dark mane of hair which curled naturally under her stylish pirate hat. She had what looked like a maze of electricity scars all over her back and arms, making her look extremely gorgeous and very dangerous at the same time. She stood tall and proud at the prow of her ship, her back turned to the blonde. Adora felt like she had seen her before. Not only that but that she knew her. That she knew her so well they must have been friends… or something else entirely…

Adora was snapped back to reality by her adoptive sister and their mutual bodyguard clambering up the side of the boat. That was also when she realized the giant scorpion lady manning the gun above them was aware of their presence. Without any more hesitation, Adora unsheathed her sword and ran towards Catra. Just as she started to swing the blade, the First Mate yelled her warning to Catra, and the feline ducked and rolled expertly out of the way. Then she stood back up, looking Adora dead in the eyes.

Catra was beautiful, that was the only word which could even begin to describe her. Adora felt herself blush and freeze as her mind attempted to process what she was seeing. The smirk, the different coloured eyes, the smooth light brown fur…

“Hey Adora.” Adora gasped. Now she was certain she knew this person; that voice was more than familiar:

“How do you know my name?” Catra raised her eyebrow but maintained her smirk:

“Adora, did you forget about me? Wow… if you wanted to break my heart, just say so.” The blonde, now very unnerved, raised the sword and pointed it right at the feline:

“I’ll ask you again: how do you know me?” At this, Catra rolled her eyes and leapt forward. She landed on top of Adora who, mostly due to gay panic, failed to react. The feline almost effortlessly gained possession of the sword and, winking at the blonde, leapt even higher so that she was now on the gun turret.

Adora quickly got to her feet and saw, to her dismay, that the scorpion lady had overpowered Bow and was being more than a match for Glimmer. She started to call out to her sister but it was no use. Catra was on her again. Only this time she was restraining her from behind while holding the sword against her neck. Adora froze and glared at Catra, now inches from her face. The feline laughed menacingly:

“Remember me now, princess?” Adora whispered spitefully:

“No. I’m not even here for you.” This finally got Catra to drop her smirk. The feline pulled the sword away and pushed Adora off the boat. Or at least that was what Adora thought. So imagine her surprise when she found herself on a plank instead of back in the water.

“Adora!” The blonde looked back to see that Scorpia had succeeded in defeating Glimmer. Her sister was now also being restrained from behind, watching in horror as Captain Catra walked to the foot of the plank and kicked the wood angrily, making Adora fall back down onto it.

“Alright princess” the feline hissed, “what are you here for?” Adora, now rather scared for her sister, Bow and herself, stood back up on the plank and announced:

“Entrapta. We need her help. I’ve got a… um… hologram that she needs to look at.”

“A hologram?” Catra swung around to see her pilot standing behind her. Her hair was an absolute mess but everything else seemed totally normal as far as the “mad princess” was concerned. Entrapta continued:

“May I see the hologram, Catra?” The feline glared at her, to which Entrapta replied:

“Oh sorry… may I see the hologram, Captain?” Catra rolled her eyes and decided she may as well oblige her pilot if only to keep her on-deck. She beckoned Adora off the plank. The blonde very sheepishly edged forward until she was once again face to face with the feline. Catra hissed at her and grabbed her red jacket, turning her to face Entrapta.

“Show her the hologram. NOW.” To this, Adora finally retorted:

“Can you please let go of my jacket then? Unless you want to take it off yourself?” The blonde could feel Catra blush and it made her smile. At least she was not the only one to feel this way. There was definitely something between them – a story she needed to hear which had been long forgotten.

The feline let go and Adora took her jacket off, revealing the hovering hologram on her chest. Entrapta gasped in wonder:

“Oh wow…” Catra gasped in horror:

“What the hell?!” Scorpia gasped in confusion:

“What is that?” Glimmer responded:

“We don’t know! That’s why we came here. We need Entrapta’s help to figure it out – she knows more about this planet than any of us.” Catra laughed incredulously:

“You wanted our help? Then why did you attack us?”

“To get your attention” grinned Adora knowingly. Catra blushed again. Did Adora really not remember her? Because this made it seem like she did. Entrapta then spoke:

“Catra… Captain… this is the failsafe! We need to get Adora back to the Fright Zone as soon as possible.” Adora raised her eyebrow in confusion:

Back to the Fright Zone?” Catra facepalmed herself and groaned loudly:

“Let Sparkles go, Scorpia. And make sure the other one’s okay. This is turning into a “save the world” thing. I hate it when that happens.”
