Haii everyone! So this is my first time ever doing requests, so heres what I will and won’t do-

Make sure it’s about Gumball/Penny and maybe a side of Carrie/Darwin

Try to keep it simple, as I do not have a lot of free time cuz of exams, but other than that, thank you!

Gumball watched Penny laugh from across the cafeteria, her beautiful brown hair swaying, her lips revealing perfectly straight, white teeth, her cheeks rising.

‘God, she's perfect,’ he thought.

Gumball couldn't help but stare. He loved everything about Penny. His heart fluttered whenever he was around her. He had tried asking her out countless times, but every time he would freeze up and just mumble something incomprehensible. He felt like such a loser.

Gumball turned and slumped against the wall, looking down at his food. It was some kind of mush. The school district was cutting corners. Gumball looked back over at Penny, his heart aching. He wondered what it would be like to have her as his girlfriend.

The bell rang. Gumball sighed and stood up, heading to class. He would ask her out again. He had to.

But he knew that when the moment came, he would once again get too nervous to say anything.

The school day passed and Gumball found himself staring at Penny as she walked away. She was so pretty. So sweet. She was nice to everyone. There were very few people that could make a snarky comment to Gumball and not get a nasty look back, but Penny was one of those people.

He was walking home with Darwin and Anais. Darwin was chatting happily about the test he took, and Anais was explaining how the teacher got every question wrong.

"I swear, sometimes I wonder how that man is a teacher!" Anais said, exasperated.

Gumball glanced at her, a half-smile on his face.

"Yeah, you and me both," Gumball said, his voice lacking any emotion.

"You're thinking about Penny again, aren't you?" Anais said, glaring at her brother.

Gumball didn't answer. His sister had always been able to see right through him.

"You have to ask her out. Seriously, Gumball, if you keep putting it off you'll never do it!"

Gumball shook his head.

"I can't, Anais. What if she says no? Then what will I do?"

Anais sighed.

"You can't be friends with someone you have a crush on forever, you know. It'll just eat you up inside."

Gumball frowned. He hated how smart his little sister was. She was always right, and it bothered him.

"Just think about it, okay? Please?" Anais asked.

Gumball nodded. Darwin placed a hand on his shoulder and gave Gumball a thumbs up.

“You got this man. Just ask her out, I know she'll say yes," Darwin said, a big smile on his face.

The three continued home. As they passed by a small, open-air market, Gumball stopped, seeing a familiar face.

"Hey, guys. Go on ahead. I'll catch up," Gumball said.

Darwin and Anais looked at him, and then looked in the direction he was staring. Darwin smiled, and Anais rolled her eyes.

"Don't mess this up," she said as she and Darwin walked off.

Gumball turned and began following the person he had seen.

Penny was browsing through the small market. It had all sorts of things. Fresh produce, bread, meat, fish, and other small items. She picked up an apple, examining it.

"Hi," a voice said.

Penny jumped and dropped the apple, which fell to the ground. She spun around to see Gumball, smiling sheepishly.

"Oh! Hi, Gumball," Penny said, smiling.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," Gumball said.

Penny laughed.

"It's fine," she said.

"How...how's it going?" Gumball asked.

"It's going well," Penny said, picking up the apple and looking it over.

Gumball rubbed the back of his neck.

"Do you...um..."

Penny looked up at him.

"Would you, um, like to…I don’t know, maybe go, out? With me? On a date? Not that we have to, if you don't want to! We can just, hang out, or something."

Gumball blushed and looked away, feeling embarrassed. Penny giggled.

"Sure," she said.

"Wh-what?" Gumball stammered.

"Sure, let's go out," Penny said.

"For real?"

"For real."

"O-okay," Gumball said.

He was stunned. He'd done it. He'd asked her out, and she'd said yes.

"I'll text you the time and place? How does that sound?" Penny asked.

"Great! Sounds good," Gumball said, still unable to believe this was happening.

"Awesome," Penny said, smiling. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah, see you tomorrow."

Gumball waved, and Penny waved back as she walked away.

He stood there for a moment, grinning stupidly, before turning and running home, his mind buzzing with excitement.

The next day, Gumball waited impatiently for the school bell to ring. When it did, he was the first one out the door, eager to meet up with Penny. They had decided to go see a movie, and had arranged to meet outside after school.

Gumball waited anxiously, checking his phone every few seconds. He was worried Penny might change her mind and cancel on him.

Finally, she appeared, walking towards him.

"Hey, sorry I'm late," she said, slightly out of breath.

"No problem. You ready?" Gumball asked, his voice betraying his excitement.

Penny giggled.

"Yeah, let's go," she said.

Gumball and Penny chatted excitedly on their way to the theater, talking about everything and nothing. Gumball's mind was racing. He couldn't believe this was really happening. He was actually going on a date with the girl of his dreams.

When they arrived at the theater, they got their tickets and entered the movie. The lights were dimmed and the screen was playing commercials. Gumball and Penny found two empty seats near the back and sat down.

"So, what are we seeing?" Penny asked.

"I think it's an action movie. Something about a guy and a girl who have to stop the end of the world or something, it’s supposed to be a great movie I heard! I’m excited, what about you? Oooh man, I love action movies! Gumball rambled.

Penny giggled.

"I'm sure it will be," she said.

Gumball blushed, not noticing he was talking so much. He had never been so nervous before.

The movie started and the two settled into their seats, watching the screen intently.

The movie was great, just as Gumball had expected. He and Penny laughed at the jokes and gasped at the action scenes. At one point, Penny leaned over and rested her head on Gumball's shoulder. Gumball's face felt like it was on fire, and he tried to keep his cool, but inside his heart was racing.

As the movie ended, Gumball and Penny slowly made their way out of the theater.

"That was so good! Did you like it?" Gumball asked, hoping Penny would say yes.

"I loved it! It was so funny!" Penny replied, giggling.

"I’m glad!” He said, smiling wide at Penny. He loved it when people enjoyed his interests.

"We should do this again sometime," Penny said.

"Totally. Maybe we could even make this a regular thing?"

"I'd love that," Penny said, smiling.

"So...” Gumball trailed off as Penny suddenly kissed his cheek.

He blushed, his entire body warming up.

"I had a lot of fun," Penny said.

"M-me too," Gumball managed to get out.

Penny giggled, then turned and walked away, leaving Gumball standing there, touching the place where Penny kissed and smiling happily.
