Chapter Text
My name is Davy and I used to be a folk hero, frontiersman, soldier, and politician. In my 49 years I have killed a bear with my bare hands, I have said my famous words “You may go to hell, and I will go to Texas.” I was even the first of three non-consecutive terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
I was blessed with a gun whom I named Betsy.
I have fought at the Alamo once just once.
It went dark and I remember waking up on the ground and I saw someone looking at me.
“Are you okay?”
I could not remember anything, fighting in the Alamo, being elected, getting married, or even dying.
I do not remember my brother and sister Apollo and Artemis, My brothers Alexander and Achilles, Thor, Rick, Alex and my trans brother Grayson and my annoying brother Anakin.
I woke up in a hospital, all I could remember was being on the ground and I could not remember anything that happened.
“He’s awake!” I heard a nurse say.
I rubbed my head as the nurse helped me to sit up on the hospital bed.
“What happened?” I asked.
“A student saw you on the ground.”
“Who?”
A guy around my age walked inside the room.
“Hey.”
“Hi.” I responded.
My eyes went to my hands, and I quickly looked around.
“Where am I?!”
“You're in the hospital.” He spoke. No, this must be a mistake! I cannot magically be in a hospital! Can I?
“This got to be a mistake!” I said, “There’s no way I’m in the hospital!”
I got to get out of here fast! I must find the others! I tried to get up when he pushed me back on the bed.
“What was that for?!”
“You can’t go.” He spoke.
“Why not?!”
“You just got surgery.”
Surgery? What is he talking about?
“My friend found you on the ground with blood you must have been hurt pretty badly.”
The Alamo!
I must have gotten shot.
My hand was over my stomach and my eyes widened.
“Thank you, um.”
“Oh, I’m Julien.” He spoke.
“Julien.” I spoke. “I’ll remember that.”
Julien sat on the bed and looked at me. “I didn’t get your name.”
“Davy, Davy Crockett.”
Julien tilted his head. “Davy died 187 years ago.”
187 years ago? I died 187 years ago?!
“It was a mistake I’m Freddie Santos.”
Julien took out his hand for me to shake it and I did.
“Nice to meet you Julien.”
“You too Freddie.”
Then silence came upon us, all we did was look at each other and cough.
“Do you go to school?” I asked.
He looked at me and I covered my mouth with my hand. What kind of question did I just ask?
“I-I’m sorry.” I spoke. “I shouldn’t have asked that.”
Julien smiled. “It is okay. I go to Waterford High School.”
“That’s so cool!”
“Do you?” He asked.
School.
I never once go to school. My last time at school was when I was only 13 not until I had a fallout with a classmate, I dropped out it was only 4 days.
I ran away to avoid getting in trouble, not until my father found out and threatened to whip me, so I ran away into the woods.
“No, I haven’t.”
Julien looks surprised and worried. “You never went to school?”
“No.”
Julien looked away then looked back at me. “Well, you're in luck Waterford is the best school there is.”
I could not help but laugh, which made Julien raise an eyebrow. “What’s so funny?”
I stopped laughing when I saw his reaction. “S-sorry”
Julien looked away. “It’s fine.”
“Do you have any siblings?” I asked.
“Yes, two brothers what about you?”
“7.”
“7?!” He exclaimed.
“Yeah 7.” I explained. “I have 5 brothers 4 are quadruplets Anakin, Achilles, Apollo, and Alexander. I have a sister Artemis and a trans non-binary sibling Grayson who is a demi boy.”
“That’s a lot.” He spoke.
“Plus, me makes 8.”
“Wow your parents have 8 kids? Man, your mom, and dad are lucky.”
“Well Dads.” I nervously laughed.
“Dads?” Julien wondered.
“Yeah, I have my father and my dad well new dad I lost my other dad in an accident.”
“Wow, I’m so sorry.” Julien patted my back.
“It’s fine my new father is a great guy his name is Francis Mosses.”
“Awesome!” He exclaimed again.
“They are expecting another baby so that makes 9.”
I forgot to mention my new dad is trans he just got top surgery before he met my father.
I did math in my head and did finger math but hey I never went to school in my life so how was I supposed to know math no matter how Artemis teaches me and of course the smart brain Anakin always get it right I swear this moment I will take that Jedi back where he comes from which is the street.
“Forget about that when will you think I’ll be out soon?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” He replied.
I looked up and saw a nurse with a clip. “Okay um Miss Santos.”
Miss?
“You have the wrong person it’s Freddie Santos.”
The nurse looks at her clipboard closely as the doctor adjusts his glasses. “That’s weird we have a name by London Santos.”
London?
I looked around as Julien gave the doctor a glare. “Respect the gender he’s trans!”
The doctor nodded. “My apology.”
We heard the door open and a young man with curly hair and acne he is about 16-17.
“Where is he?!”
I looked at him and my eyes widened. “Apollo?”
The young man looks at me and raised an eyebrow and he is eyes widened as he ran and hugged me.
“You're okay!”
Julien looked at me, him, and again. “You know him?”
“Yes.” I spoke. “He’s my brother, my older brother Lester.”
Lester looks at me to check for wounds. “Are you hurt?! Did anyone hurt you?! I swear on Zeus above I will find them and kill them!?”
I chuckled. “Don’t worry I’m fine.”
Apollo hugged me tight, and another guy peeked his head out.
“Desculpe, não tive a intenção de me intrometer.”
I saw him rubbing his arms. “Who’s he?”
“This is Paolo Montes.” Lester said. He held Paolo’s hand. “And he’s, my boyfriend.”
My eyes widened. Boyfriend?
“Since when was this official?” I asked.
Apollo chuckled. “Since I found out I had feelings for him.”
Julien smirked. “Bromance.”
“Bromance.” I agreed.
Julien looked at Apollo. “Have you been to Waterford high school?”
Apollo shook his head.
“You should come.” Julien said. “It’s the best school if you had any siblings who haven’t been to school they can come.”
I looked at Apollo. “Should we give it a try?”
Apollo thought for a moment and nodded. “I tell Artemis she’ll be interested.”
