Chapter Text

Taiyang is currently watching tv. He is currently alone in the home as his daughters went over to a friend's birthday party, Qrow is on another assignment Ozpin sent him on and Summer is currently still out on assignment as well. Now that is a name...and the reason he is still up. Currently, despite what Ruby and Yang can see on the surface, there was a bit of tension between them relationship wise. It's nothing to divorce over, but it's not exactly good either. So, a friend that teaches at Signal suggested a Marriage Pass Test to Taiyang. Taiyang is a bit skeptical but decided to inform Summer. They decided that Summer will take the pass. That was a week ago as Summer had taken up another mission.

"I wonder...when would Summer be back?" Taiyang thought, just as the front door opened. Summer walked through the door, and closed it shut. She looks up, and saw Taiyang sitting on the couch, who stared back surprised.

"Summer...?" Taiyang spoke up. A moment passed before she smiled and said:

"I'm back." Taiyang stood up and walked over to her, pulling her into a deep hug. Plenty of emotions coursed through his body, and none of them negative. It's as if the tension from before was never there. He then asks:

"How about the test?"

The two looks into one another's eyes before bursting out laughing. After a moment, they finally stopped as Taiyang said:

"Ruby. The time I had with Yang in Beacon was amazing, I'm not going to lie. But when you knelt down in front of me and asked me to be your wife...I had no doubts in my mind when I said yes. The reason I chose Yang as my partner for my test is because she is the one person I know you trusts deeply and would accept. But...seeing your reaction now, I should've spoken to you first. And for that, I apologize." Ruby listened as she nuzzled further into Yang's embrace. She then said: 

"Okay." Weiss then joined in the hug. After a few moments, Yang asks:

"So, who is your test partner?"
