Chapter Text

Today was finally the day. Four long years of watching and waiting, for today to finally be the day. Spider had made sure that he showered today, making sure he looks presentable for… her. Beetle. The love of his life. Even if Beetle didn’t know it yet, Spider would be her love too. Spider would make sure of it. That shouldn't be much of a problem however, considering how he knows everything about Beetle.

For four years before today, Spider would spend every waking moment of his life thinking about Beetle. This has been going on ever since Spider first saw her when they were sixteen. They were both twenty now, and Spider doesn't think Beetle ever noticed him after High School. He however, knows of every past relationship Beetle was ever in, everything that they look for in a partner, their favorite things, almost everything. Spider would stop at no limits to make sure that Beetle would be his, even if it included changing himself for her.

Spider hurriedly put on his shoes, ready to finally talk to Beetle again.

Spider was on her block. Spider was a few houses down from her house. Spider couldn't contain his excitement. He almost started hyperventilating. He's at Beetle's house now. Should he knock? Should he come in through a window? Oh the possibilities were endless! He decided to knock on their door. Wouldn't want to make a bad influence already, would he?

The door slowly opened, and Spider could feel his heart beating so hard it almost beat out of his chest. There she was! His Beetle! Oh how he would do anything for them.

“Hello? How can I help you?” Beetle questioned.

Oh! It was her voice! Spider couldn't stand it anymore! This woman was going to drive him crazy! Spider reached out and grabbed Beetle's hands, holding them in his own.

“Beetle! It's been such a long time! You do remember me don't you?” Spider beamed.

Beetle looked at him with a puzzled look for a second. A look of recognition eventually came across his face.

“Spider? It's been a long time hasn't it? What brings you here?”

“I need you Beetle. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be there for you in your ups and downs. I want to get married and have kids with you Beetle. Please, let me. Give me a chance.” Spider started pleading.

Beetle was obviously disturbed by this. A guy she hadn't seen in four years randomly shows up at their doorstep and starts begging them to marry him? She starts to walk back inside.

“Well, I... I don't really know Spider... I mean we used to talk a lot a long time ago... but that was four years ago. Times have changed you know...? Maybe we could start to become friends again fir-”

“Tsk. I feared you would say that.” Spider grumbled, obviously upset by this knowledge. He wasn't just going to leave them alone though. Why would he? He did think every outcome to this interaction out anyways.

“If only it didn't have to go this way” Spider stated. Beetle starts to give him a confused look. Just to be knocked out by Spider hitting her across the head, effectively knocking them out.

Chapter Text

Beetle woke up in a cold sweat. Where was she? Why are there eyes everywhere? Why are they tied up? Why are there eyes everywhere? What was she last doing? Why are there eyes everywhere? Why can she barely feel her body? WHY ARE THERE EYES EVERYWHERE?

She scanned the room, trying to grasp any semblance of where she might be to no avail. A gentle chuckle from behind them seemed to pierce the air. They watched as Spider slowly walks in front of them.

“You really are cute, you know that?” Spider admired.

Beetle was disgusted. She's tied up and probably drugged, and Spider just thinks that she's cute?!

Spider slowly approached them, leaning down to be eye level with Beetle.

“I'm going to untie you alright? Besides, I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable.” Spider reached out and untied them.

Beetle tried to get up to sprint out, just to fall straight into Spider.

“Oh you poor thing. You never learn do you?” Spider purred, pulling Beetle closer.

“I can't wait for all of the adventures we will have together my darling.” Spider starts to wrap his arms around Beetle, slowly trapping her inside of a web that is his arms. Spider sighed into her shoulder, taking in her scent.

Beetle tried to talk, but the words just came out garbled. They're finding it harder to think the more time that continues.

“Oh I just can't wait for the sedatives to wear off and I can talk to you properly once again.” Spider longed. Beetle starts to feel a slight bit of pain where Spider is so deeply attached to her. She just barely looks up into Spider's eyes, wanting to see the eyes of her now captor. She can see the deep sense of love and joy behind Spider's eyes, and that thought unnerves them, but somehow makes them feel... calmed?

Beetle leans into Spider. It's not like she can do much anymore. Their mind is so blurred from the sedatives that they can't even begin to think about anything. This seems to please Spider, who is now emitting a faint purr. Their heart starts to slow, and she starts to slowly shut her eyes once again...

Spider let out a deep sigh. He never wanted to leave this moment in all honesty. He had his true love asleep right here in his arms. What else could he need?

Spider looked around the room in thought. He should probably put more furniture in this room for Beetle shouldn't he? But he doesn't want her to get too comfortable. He wants Beetle to start seeking comfort from him ultimately. He wants Beetle to see that he's the perfect guy for her. Beetle will never need anybody else, and Spider will make sure about that.

But what about the room he's currently staying in? Should he move Beetle into his own room? Or would that be too uncomfortable for her?

Spider decided to put in a mattress for her to sleep on along with a chair. Spider deemed that comfortable but also uncomfortable enough for Beetle to still long for him.

Spider held Beetle closer to him as he stood up, using his now fully unwound arm to keep her asleep against him while he used parts of the unwound arm and his other arm to move the mattress into the room. He also decided to close all of the eyes he had opened among the walls of the room. However nice it is to be able to see Beetle from all angles, he is also holding her so it isn't that necessary.

Spider settled down on the mattress holding Beetle in his arms. He gently stroked Beetle's hair as they slept, soothing himself in the process. Spider slowly started to drift off to sleep himself.

Chapter Text

Beetle woke up in the middle of the night with a gasp. They tried to sit up, but was held back by Spider's arms wrapped around them. They glanced around the room, noticing all of the eyes were... gone?

Beetle tries to turn around, waking up Spider in the process.

“Beetle? What's wrong?” Spider mumbles.

Beetle freaks out, not sure what to say. She knows she really wants to lash out at Spider for this whole mess, but she can't deny how nice it is to have someone else with her again.

“I uh.. I'm just confused. And scared.” Beetle manages to strain in response.

Spider loosens his grip on Beetle, causing Beetle to sigh from the pain subsiding.

“Beetle please... Please just give me a chance. I never intended to hurt you. I love you too much to do that. I... I can't imagine the thought of you getting hurt....” Spider replied, almost as if he was about to cry.

Beetle wouldn't deny that she did feel sort of bad for him. Beetle let out a sigh.

“You know what Spider? I'll work with you. We'll see how this works out for a while. I won't make anything easy for you though.” Beetle breathed.

Spider almost exploded from joy right there. All of the eyes came back as he shot up.

“YOU WILL?!” Spider shrieked.

Beetle flinched backwards a little, then slightly nodded her head.

Spider brought her closer, practically strangling her. Beetle sighed. What has she just gotten herself into?

Chapter Text

Beetle sat up, running her hand through her messy hair. How many days has she slept? She opened her eyes just to be met with another face staring her down.

Beetle yelped and jumped backwards, hitting her head against the wall in the process.

“Oh lovebug don't do that!! Be careful where you're going dear...” Spider immediately leaned back close to her and started stroking her head in an attempt to comfort her.

Being pushed against him, they could see why he was getting so close now. He had brought them food. After a few more minutes of uncomfortable comforting from Spider, he leaned back a little to look into their face again.

“I brought you dinner! I didn't think you would be out for so long you know. It was just a little bit of medication but you were out like a light for almost three days!” Spider smiled, picking up and holding out the plate. “I also figured you wouldn't want dinner since it's more like a morning for you so I made your favorite breakfast!”

They looked down on the plate and sure enough, there it was. Toast and eggs.

“I wasn't entirely sure what kind of jelly you would want... so I just didn't bring any down! What kind would you like? I have grape... apple... strawberry... peac-”

“Just- just strawberry will be fine. Thanks.” Beetle cut him off.

Spider looked upset for a minute, but shook it off quickly.

“I'll go bring you some down on a spoon!” Spider kissed them on the forehead and left the basement.

As soon as he was out she started rubbing on her forehead. “I just have to get through this and escape. That's it.” Is what she reminded herself. She began to pick up the eggs – which she had to do with their hands. Spider probably didn't trust them with a fork. As they did this the spotted something moving from the corner of their eye.

They turned their head just to be met with those eyes again.

They let out a low groan. They picked up some of the eggs and walked over closer to the eye. She watched as the pupil expanded more the closer the got. When they were relatively close, she chucked the eggs they picked up into the eye.

When she sat back down by the plate the eye was gone, though they could hear Spider's boots stomping back to them upstairs.

A few minutes later Spider came slamming into the basement, coming over and picking her up by the face.

“WHAT IN YOUR RIGHT MIND THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?” Spider was livid.

Beetle just kept kicking to get away.

“You aren't getting out of this one. Do you KNOW how bad that hurt?? Why would you ever do that to someone?? LET ALONE YOUR BOYFRIEND??” Spider just kept yelling, holding onto them tighter and sucking more energy out of them.

The yelling and kicking went on for a few minutes before he eventually dropped her to the ground and sat down across from her. He sighed.

“Listen. I get you aren't exactly.. pleased with me. But can you at least pretend that you like me?” Spider tried to reason.

“Now tell me why I would decide to reason with some creep that I was close with in High School who decided to randomly DRUG AND KIDNAP ME because I said that I didn't want to date after not seeing you for FOUR YEARS.” Beetle snapped back.

Spider groaned and rolled his eyes. He stood up and walked back up the steps to the door.

“You better figure out how to ration that plate of food. I'm not doing this.” He slammed the door and left.

There's no way he would actually let her starve.. He loves her too much he said he wouldn't hurt her... but why does she hurt so bad? Why did he see this extreme of a measure necessary..?
