Teencare

Summary:

The Daycare was found to have failed before it could even get up off of the ground. With the AI for the Sun and Moon already made and Bonnie decommissioned, they decided to redesign the Sun and Moon, making them a teen attraction. How different will the story be, now they have different protocols? Different bodies?

Chapter 1: Hello New World

Chapter Text

The Mega Pizzaplex. A place for families of all walks of life to enjoy. A place that opened as soon as the main Four came to be. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. With how popular everything was, and the amount of money rolling in, so two years into the opening, they made Monty, open Monty’s golf. Foxy went missing six months in, leaving the higher-ups to rush and replace him with a new character, Roxanne Wolf. Everything worked well, and money poured in once again, Fazbear decided to put money into making a young child’s heaven, so they started to advertise the new daycare, starting a new daycare attendant to run the attractions.

None of the parents didn’t seem happy about the idea of leaving their young children with an animatronic. The numbers slowly started to go down in sales as people started spreading rumors that it was another ploy to kill more children. Fazbear already paid for the new animatronic, and the AIs are already under development. Millions were put towards this daycare in hopes of bringing more money. It also didn’t help that their main teen favorite animatronic, Bonnie, ended up destroyed beyond worth salvaging almost a year later.

This ended up leading to them repurposing it instead. They changed the Daycare into a new TeenZone, having found that most of their clientele now consisted of kids ten years and older, far too old to be in any daycare. With that issue settled, they announced the change, and with the announcement, sales were booming again with the promise of a human-run daycare in Kids Cove instead.

The making of the animatronic body for the new Teencare animatronic had to be put on hold a week later after finding issues with the AIs’ coding. Every time they try triggering a switch, the codes would merge, refuse, or come up with an error. No matter what each programmer did, it would not work. Fazbear decided to cut the size from the ten-foot animatronic, make it around seven to eight feet tall, and make two instead, hoping that having two would bring more popularity instead of one, and hope they could play the part of being teens among the animatronics.

With the new plan set, the development of the two new Animatronics made way, going much faster than already planned now they didn’t have to work on the kinks that came with a physically changing body, cutting the waiting period down by five months. It was on June 12 that the two Animatronics were finally able to open their eyes for the first time. The darker color scheme animatronic was the first to open his eyes.

 As his body powered up, he could feel the hard cold metal under his body. His chest slowly raised and lowered, mimicking the breathing that his coding automatically caused. He could sense the bright light on him, hitting his closed eyelids, almost making it so he could see the light from through them. He felt his fingers twitch, the beeping of a machine reading his responses like a heart monitor. He could hear voices talking to him, but still trying to boot up fully made it so he couldn’t understand what they were saying. The only thought to cross his mind was:

Who and where was he?

Slowly the world started to focus and he was able to open his eyes, an almost… strange feeling came over him. Almost like he doesn’t want to wake up. “Good. Low battery response is happening as we hoped. Acts almost as if it were groggy. We can test the food and sleep charging in a bit. For now, we need to get its motor responses recorded.” A man said to his right.

He slowly turned his head, feeling as if something soft fell into his face a bit. Looking up, he saw tufts of a grayish color. A blue tint within it would be semi-hard to point out. Slowly he started to lift his left arm, moving to touch it. Feel what it was. As his hand touched it, he felt his fingers go through it, catching him off guard. It wasn’t like hair texture. More like that fluff you’d find on a hat used in the winter. Fake fur. He touched it more, feeling it was attached to his head, feeling little cracks at where the base of it all ended, almost like a hairline.

He could feel it through his head as he touched it. “Seems its arm is moving fine… And it is reacting well to it’s fluff. Now. Moon. Can you hear me?” The man asked, still standing right where he was. Moon? Was that his name? “Moon? Can you look at me?” The voice responded again. Moon finally looked over to the man, his eyes making contact with his. “it is responsive to audio cues… the slow process to its name is a bit of an issue, but that is probably due to its AI originally meant to be aware of its sibling. So we will give it time for its AI to adapt to its new body and name. If it keeps acting weird we can take it in for reprogramming to fix the issue.” The man said

Moon felt a bad feeling about those words. A pit feeling deep in his middle. He kept watching the other, still lying down. Should… he sit up? And what did the man mean by his sibling? “Moon. Can you sit up and move your legs over to the side of the table towards me? I need you sitting facing me.” The man said, still keeping his distance.

Slowly, Moon moved to do as instructed, pushing himself up. He swung his legs over the side, causing him to look down at his legs. His left was a deep dark blue and his right leg was a pale gray that faded down into the dark blue. Almost black. He could see the stages of the moon circling his thigh, and the rest had specks of light gray, almost looking like stars. His left leg looked like the night sky. Moving his feet, he found he only had four toes, and at the bottom, it looked like he could have had a very thin pad of light gray padding on the sole of his feet and toes.

Moon moved to look at his hands, finding his palms and fingertips to be the same blue color as his left leg, with the light gray on his fingers, only to slowly fade into the light gray on his right arm. His left arm was mainly dark blue beside the markings. The back of his hands had the crescent moons, and when he looked into his palms, he saw the same padding as the bottom of his feet, only for them to match the color of his hands. He had sharp claws, which confused him. Why did he need claws?

“Good good. The movement seems fluent. Moon, take your right arm and raise it above your head.” Moon looked at him before doing so, raising his arm high above his head. “Good, now your left…” And Moon followed his orders. Order after order, Moon followed. Order after order, Moon grew confused. Where was he? “Sir, Sun is finally online.” A new voice spoke up, catching Moon’s attention. Moon turned around, looking back at the other Animatronic that was on a table to his left. How did he not notice him there?

For Sun, he woke to the sounds of a man speaking, beeping, and the feeling of the hard surface he lay on. The same light assaulted his closed eyes. “Moon. Stand and balance on your left leg.” Moon? Who’s that? “Sir, Sun is finally online.” Another voice spoke. Who was Sun? Was that him? “Good. Moon. Focus. Balance on your left leg…. Yes. Good. That is good.”

Sun slowly started to twitch, feeling his fingers twitch. His right foot. His eyelids. “Sun? Can you hear me?” The new voice said, causing Sun to slowly open his blue eyes. His optics shrink at the sudden bright lights. “Good. Its optics are responding well to the light.” The man to his left said, catching his attention. “Sun. Can you sit up?” The man asked. Sun took a second to process what was asked of him, his systems still trying to adapt to all of the new sounds and sights.

Sun moved his arms, pushing himself up to be propped up on his elbows before pushing the rest of the way up. “Good. It is moving well so far… Sun, can you turn towards me?” The man asked him, causing Sun to turn his head to face him. “Moon. Look over here. I am right here, not behind you!” The other man’s voice snapped, causing Sun to look back, his eyes landing on the other animatronic on the table to his right. Moon? Sun thought, something clicking in the back of his mind.

Moon was staring back at him, his bright red LED irises staring back at him. His deep red optics slowly dialed as something seemed to click for him as well. Brother. This was his brother. They were brothers, born of the same coding. From what Sun could see were dark yellows and tan in the shape of upside-down triangles within a bunch of silver-looking freckles. Moon was turning around the rest of the way, moving to walk on unsteady legs, legs he was still adapting to, before a flashing light triggered, zapping Moon, causing a soundless pained scream to leave him as he collapsed down on his hands and knees.

Sun shouted out, his own eyes wide, his LEDs sparking in alarm as he watched his brother fall in his pain. “Moon! Stand up and focus! If you did as you were told, you wouldn’t have to have been shocked!” The man said strictly, arms crossed.

“Sun. Look over here, please… The less you stare at each other, the more we can get done, and the faster you can meet each other. Now swing your legs over to face me.” The man he was closer to say. Sun had to tear his eyes away from his brother, looking at the human before slowly nodding his head. He moved his legs over the left side of the table, getting him to take a nice look at his legs.

Much like Moon, his left side was mainly made up of a dark tannish-orange color, with white designs all over his left leg and arm that made it look like clouds. On his left bicep, right below his shoulder joint was the design of a sun, a crescent moon splitting it in half. His left side was a light yellowish-tan color, His feet had the same dark orange color on both, his right fading up into the lighter colors. On the bottom of his feet, he had pads that were a darker orange. His palms and fingertips were the same color as his left arm, while the rest of his fingers were the same yellowish-tan color. He had pads on his hands, blending in color to hide them.

He tilted his head, feeling a shift from around his head. Raising his right hand, he felt his hand make contact with something a bit squishy. He pinched it a bit, feeling the light pinch before feeling around the rest of his head. He counted seven of these solid flat things, confusion coming to his face. In his confusion he felt the things his hands were touching move a bit, almost shifting down.

“I see you found your rays, Sun.” The man said, an amused tone in his voice. Rays? Sun perked up, letting his rays go, opening his mouth to ask something, only to find no sound. He was meant to talk… why couldn’t he talk? “Oh sorry Sun. You need to wait till after your physical exam before we can test your voice box.” Test? Oh. “Now lift you…” And so on. Sun went about completing his tests, looking back every once and a while to look at his brother.

“Now. Sun, Moon, we are going to enable your voice boxes. Please ask and answer these questions on your sheet of paper.”

Sun looked over the questions, curious. “What is your name.” He heard Moon ask him. Moon’s voice was deeper than what he thought it would be, having a slight rasp to it that was barely noticeable. Sun ended up stuttering a bit as he tried to process this new sound. “Sun.” He said, his own voice catching him off guard. His voice was higher. Just a little bit higher.

“What is your name?” Sun asked his brother, head tilting. “Moon. How tall are you?” “7’8. How tall are you?” “7’9.” “What! No!” “Yes.” The questions were abandoned as immediately the two brothers took to arguing about who was taller. To the men in the room, this seemed like a good sign. They act like real siblings, which will help kids relate to them who too have siblings.

After a bit, the questions were finished, and the two were moved to a new room before being locked in. “In the evening tomorrow, we will bring you to your new home. You have a month to adapt to your new area, and we will unblock your communication lines. You will be able to communicate with each other without using verbal means, and you can cut contact yourselves like shutting a door. It might take a bit to get the hang of, but with your AIs, you’ll learn fast.” One of the men said, moving to peer in at the two. “Get some rest, and we will get you your first meal, and your clothes, and make sure you’re cleaned up and ready to go. You can test your charging pods when we get there.” He said, before shutting the small door built into the metal door.

Sun looked at Moon, blinking before a small grin grew on his face. Moon looked at him a bit confused, eyeing him. He didn’t have enough time to react as Sun threw himself onto him, latching onto him. “Hello, Moon! I am glad to meet you today!” Sun said, sounding excited.

Moon was tensed, but slowly he relaxed, a snort leaving him. He moved, carefully hugging his twin back, patting his back. “Nice to meet you too Sun…” He said faintly, smiling. His sharp canines sticking out past his lips. They just stood there, hugging each other before Sun let out a yawn. His batter was low, and Moon felt the same exhaustion kicking in as well. It wasn’t long before the two brothers decided to get some sleep, curled in against each other, trying to keep each other warm and safe as they waited for morning to arrive.

~~~~~~~~
When morning came around, the two woke up to the sounds of a door opening. “Up and att'em!” A new, feminine voice called out. “Matthew and Paul are waiting for you two!” She moved to leave the door, open, waiting for them.
Sun and Moon both slowly got up. They had felt more energized than when they first woke up but didn’t feel fully rested. With their slow movements, they made their way out of the room, Moon having yawned and stretched. He didn’t like being woken up it seemed as if he was a bit grumpy looking.
Once they were led to a specific room, they saw something on the table that… smelt good. Sun couldn’t help but sniff the air. “Sense of smell works.” One of the men from yesterday said, marking it down. It was the man who worked with Moon, which caused Moon to stare him down.
“Sit sit.” The man who worked with Sun said, motioning for them to sit in the chairs. Both animatronics followed their orders, sitting down while eyeing the food before them. Their curiosity peaked, looking between the food and the men. “Well? Dig in.” The same man said, motioning for them to eat.
Sun and Moon looked at each other, confused before grabbing the plates, and pulling them closer. Sun was the first to grab the fork, studying it before moving to stab a sausage that was on the plate. He brought it to his mouth, biting into it. It took him a bit, to process what was happening. The smell was good, but the taste almost exploded in his mouth. His eyes widen, optics dilating. He sat frozen for a minute, before slowly moving his eyes to look at the meat that was on his fork.
Moon was watching, body tensed up as he saw his brother freeze up. “Is he broken?!” Moon asked frantically, moving to touch his brother’s cheek. What he didn’t expect was Sun to swallow the rest of the sausage whole, a beaming smile on his face as he went to stab the next one. “It's good Moon! You should try it!” He said, holding the fork with the new sausage impaled on it. Moon stared at it and then at his brother before moving to take a small bite, knowing this was his brother’s food. His reaction was almost the same, but instead of shock, his face held pure astonishment. It didn’t take long before both animatronics ate everything on their plates. By the end, they felt full, laying back in their chairs.
“Give it a bit and your body will start to process the food and turn it into energy.” Moon’s tester said, pulling out two boxes and placing them on the table. “For now, get dressed into these. These will be the clothes you will be wearing from now on.” He explained, pushing the box with a sun on it to Sun and the one with a moon on it to Moon.
Both brothers looked in and looked at what was given to them. In Moon’s box was a black shirt, dark baggy jeans, a gray hoodie that was cropped just under where his chest plate meets his black flexible shelling that made it so both could bend in any direction and a pair of dark gray shoes. On top of them all was a black nightcap with silver stars on it, and a silver bell at the end.
Sun’s box held a beige hoodie cropped at the same distance, the words “TeenZone” sewn into the jacket with a moon on the lower left of the words and a sun to the upper right. He had a dark reddish-orange sweats, a gray shirt, and light gray shoes.
It didn’t take long before both were dressed in their respective clothes, Sun had a difficult time with his shirt getting stuck on one of his rays by mistake, needing Moon to unhook it. Once both were ready, both testers moved them to a van and made them sit down as they removed the shock collars. “There. Now off to your new home you two.” Sun’s tester said, climbing out of the back with the other, and slamming the door shut. Both men climbed into the front, a cage wall separating the humans from the almost eight-foot-tall animatronics in the back.
As they drove, Sun was watching the area pass by the windows from what he could see, excitement in his eyes as he started to bug the two humans with questions. Moon on the other hand seemed a bit weary, sitting in a dark corner, his red eyes glowing from their black sockets. He didn’t know what would happen now. Were they going to a home? Where was this home? He didn’t know.
He didn’t have to wait too long as about three hours later, they arrived at their new home. “Do we take them in from the back or front?” Moon’s tester, who he learned was named Paul, asked, looking at his co-worker for information. “It doesn’t say… we brought the Glamrocks in from the front when they came in, so maybe the same? It is a maintenance day after all.” Sun’s tester, Matthew, said.
“Right you two, you will stay close to each other, and follow our lead. Okay?” Matthew said, getting out and opening the back door, the Van having been backed up to the entrance to make it a shorter distance.
Sun was looking around as he slowly approached the exit, looking at the large entrance before him. What was this place? “Where are we?” Sun asked, sounding both nervous and excited. A new place to explore and all, but he wasn’t sure what was to be expected.
Moon was following his brother but soon shoved his way past him. He climbed out, finally able to stand straight once outside, and stretched. He didn’t like how cramped that place felt. “Now what?” Moon asked, seemingly unamused.
Sun was quick to follow his brother out of the van, staring up at the massive building. “Well, now we get you inside and show you to the gang before taking you to your new area,” Paul said, moving to open the main doors, having to swipe a key to unlock it. While he did that, Matthew had pinged for the animatronics to all come to the main section to meet their new additions while ushering both into the building.
Both men had Sun and Moon stand by the fountain, waiting for the others to appear. Sun was looking around, his eyes were wide, a large grin on his face at all of the bright colors and lights. “Moon! Look! They have small stuffies!” Sun exclaimed, pointing at one of the shop windows. He ran to the window while his brother slowly followed behind. Both peered in to stare at the four plushes. “That one looks like the statue!” Sun exclaimed, bouncing a bit in excitement.
Moon snorts. “That’s because the statue is the main mascot of this place. Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzaplex. Faz bear . So this is Freddy.” Moon pointed out, poking his brother in the side. This caused Sun to squeak. His receptors are sensitive around that area. That squeak was the doom for him as Moon slowly started to grin.
Sun, sensing the danger backed away. “Hey now- No need to do anything so rash!” Sun said, looking around. Moon only chuckled, looking like he was getting ready to pounce. Sun bolted as soon as Moon did, running away from his twin, a grin on his face while laughing. “No! Stay back!” He shouted, looking back.
Sun didn’t notice the wet floor bot. He ended up tripping over it, falling flat on his face, and slid a bit. Sun heard Matthew shout out in shock, but that didn’t last long as Moon jumped him, tickling him relentlessly. Sun was squirming and laughing. He lifted his head to show not much damage other than a scrape to his face that hurt, but nothing that wasn’t an easy fix. Sun tried to push his brother off of him, his sides still being assaulted by Moon’s fingers.
The sound of someone's throat being cleared was what caused the twins to snap out of it. Sun snapped his head to look at who it was, only to see four animatronics standing before them. Moon quickly got off of Sun, standing up straight, and pulled his twin to his feet.
One in the front was a bear with light brown coloring who was easily over nine feet tall. His stomach and chest were light tan with a blue bolt running down his chest. The same blue ran in a line on his jaw and down to his neck and around his eyes with red around the edges. He had blue eyes that were staring down at the two.
The next one to the right of the bear animatronic was a… Chicken? Was she a chicken or a goose? Sun couldn’t tell really. She was mainly white with pink stripes on her cheeks and around her eyes. Her eyes were purple, looking at the twins with amusement, trying hard to hide a giggle. She was wearing something that looked like a pink and magenta leotard. She had green and purple leg warmers. She was a bit shorter than the rest, and from what the twins could identify was her being around 8’5.
To the bear’s left was a wolf-looking animatronic with long fluffy gray hair with a short green stripe in the front. She was wearing a red crop top and shorts. She had purple legs and arm warmers. On her face were two black stripes on each cheek. She had brown-golden eyes that seemed to stare at the twins with impatience. It looks as if she were most likely the one who did the throat-clearing.
To the wolf’s right was a green gator who wore shades. He had green Gator skin print pants, a red mohawk, purple gloves, and a lot of visible sharp teeth in his mouth. Sun couldn’t help but slightly hide behind Moon as his nervousness started to kick in.
So many new people at once! He felt so overwhelmed. “There you four are!” Matthew exclaimed, walking up. “Gang, I want to introduce you to your two new additions, Sun and Moon. They will be running the new TeenZone.” He explained, motioning to the twins. “Sun, Moon, this is Freddy, Chica, Roxy, and Monty. They are the Glamrocks. You may see them from time to time during maintenance and even birthday parties.”
Sun felt his rays sink back a bit, looking a bit nervous. “Hi- I am uh… Sun?” He offered, still gripping the back of his brother’s hoodie. Moon rolled his eyes at Sun but didn’t move much. “And this is Moon… He is my brother.” Sun said, looking anywhere else besides the taller animatronics.
What he wasn’t expecting was a squeal that came from who he assumed to be Chica, as she jumped up and down. “Oh sugar! You are so cute!” She exclaimed, looking as if she wanted to scoop Sun up off of his feet and hug him.
Freddy was stopping her, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Easy Chica… we do not want to overwhelm them on their first day here.” He said before turning to the twins. “I am Freddy. As you heard, this right here is Chica. Roxanne is to my left and Montgomery is next to her. If you ever need anything while you are settling in, you can always ask one of us for help! If I remember correctly, you two have a month to fully settle in and get into your schedule with your new handler or handlers once they are hired.” Freddy explained, a smile on his face.
Moon raised his eyebrow, something Sun just realized has a slight down curl around where the thicker part was meant to be. “Handlers?” He voiced, curious about what those were.
“Yes. Handlers. Those who watch and make sure nothing happens to us or people around us.” Freddy said, crossing his arms. “They are to help us stay on track because guests tend to ignore us when we say we need to go and continue with our schedules.”
Monty scoffed, looking away. “Yeah well don’t bug me. I am a busy guy and I don’t need two brats pestering me.” He said, turning to walk away. “Come on Rox. We still got to prove who is better at video games.” He said, grumbling as he walked.
“Yeah yeah. I’m coming you overgrown gecko.” Roxy snapped, going to follow them.
Sun winced at the other’s tone, rubbing the back of his neck. “S-sorry for uh… bothering you both?” He offered, not sure why Roxy and Monty seemed to dislike them already. Sadly, his attempt to apologize was ignored by the two rockstars as they walked off.
“Please don’t mind them… Monty had a rough start… and before you both arrived… Bonnie was… decommissioned. While me and Bonnie were close, Bonnie was Monty’s real friend, and he sees you as a threat to Bonnie’s image, having replaced him.” Freddy explained, watching his friends leave. “And for Roxy? She is just a person who acts tough. She just doesn’t like getting attached. Just give her a bit to get used to you both and she will open up a bit.”
Sun smiled at Freddy, slowly letting his brother go and stepping out a bit. “It's… it's fine! I am sure we will all get along well!” Sun said, wrapping an arm around Moon’s shoulder to pull him into a side hug. “Right, Moonie?”
Moon huffed, looking away. “Yeah, I guess… But they better watch it. I don’t want to see them mess with Sun.” He stated lowly, glaring the animatronic bear down.
Freddy held his hands up, smile going nervous. “Don’t worry. I will see they don’t harass you or your brother.” He promised, looking to Chica. “Chica, you should go head back to Parts and Services. Your monthly tune-up is coming up and they should be done with DJ soon.”
“Oh! Right! I got it!” Chica said, waving bye. “I will see you two cuties later!” She said, running off to not be late for her maintenance.
Sun looked away, flushed while Moon grumbled. “Bye, Ms. Chica!” Sun said, trying to be polite.
“So Freddy,” Paul spoke up. “Sun and Moon are the new Teen animatronics. It means they are programmed to be that of 15-year-olds, so you might have to uh… Keep your head on a swivel.”
“... I uh- See. Thank you for the heads up.” Freddy said, looking at the two teens again. “Well once again! Welcome you two, to the Fazbear family! If you need anything or any help, please come and ask us. You are not alone here.” Freddy said, trying to ensure the other two didn’t feel out of place.
“Right uh… Thank you Mr. Fazbear, but we should… go and check out our new area. Get to know it, ya know?” Moon said, grabbing his twin and pulling him along, heading in a random direction.
“Ah right- Well you do that! Also please, just call me Freddy! Mr. Fazbear makes me feel… old?” He said, not knowing how to describe how he feels.
“Gotcha gramps,” Moon called out, earning a gasp from Sun. “Moon! That was rude! I am so sorry Freddy! Ignore him! He is just grumpy!” Sun shouted as he was still being tugged away.
Freddy only let out a sigh. He knew his hands were about to be more filled than before. “Should I warn them they are going in the wrong direction? The sign isn’t up yet after all…” Freddy said, looking at the two worried.
“Nah they will probably still go the wrong way. They are meant to act like teens, and teens tend to want to explore the area and scout things out. Especially without these two programs. Sun is meant to be the more physically active one of the two, Moon is meant to be one of the security bots as well as the creativity planner.” Paul explained. “While both can do what the other does, they have a higher skill in their respective areas. While Moon can learn to play any instrument and learn any art form, Sun can do so as well at a much slower pace. Moon can do more than Sun due to his Security title meant to keep people safe.”
Freddy nods. “And the reason why Sun isn’t the security is because..?”
“In case issues pop up in Moon, Sun can still handle things on his own. We… also because we tried to make it Sun who is the security, but… The program showed hostility that could form with the mix of the need to be active and constantly doing things. It is safer for Moon to be the security and Sun as a backup.” He explained. “It is also… why we couldn’t make them into one animatronic. Their codes kept clashing and causing errors and danger for anyone if they were in a body.”
Freddy nodded his head. “I see. Well, I will keep an eye out for both of them and if I see anything wrong, I will report it immediately.” Freddy promised. “Now, I should leave to make sure Roxy and Monty both avoid destroying the arcade. Again.” Freddy said, moving to go to keep an eye on his friends. “Both of you drive safe!” Freddy called out over his shoulder, walking fast to the arcade.
