Background:
As Ava and Gwen spent the summer at Camp Kikiwaka, the Keynes-Hill family spent it in Paris (working with a Miraculous Team and whatnot).
Jess and Aeon became friends with all French Miraculous Holders, both in and out of the mask. Chloe was still in Paris for the summer and Aeon reached out, trying to be friends. Chloe eventually let down her walls just enough to let Aeon through, but Chloe and Jess still annoy the heck out of each other. Olympia began to feel sympathy for Chloe and Barbara would become outraged every time she had any interaction with Chloe's mother. Because of Aeon's influence and the feeling of having literally nothing left to lose, Chloe began to show change.
When Chloe accidentally found out that the Keynes-Hills were superheroines and didn't tell anyone, the entire family could look past her past mistakes. When the Keynes-Hill were about to leave, Audrey Bourgeois asked Barbara and Olympia to take Chloe back to New York with them because she didn't "want Chloe around to tarnish her reputation anymore". People were surprise that there wasn't an Audrey-shaped hole in the wall at the end of that conversation. The Keynes-Hills did bring Chloe to New York in order to give her a fresh start (and Chloe didn't argue about coming because she felt that she had no chance of starting over in Paris).
In New York, Ava and Gwen come into the story and they are all best friends now.
Also, it may never come up, but Jess is the guardian of the American Miracle Box.
