"I see things no one else sees..."
Thailand, Bangkok, 2024.
°~Yim's POV~°
Cheers...
Screaming...
Camera lights...
Voices over overlapping...
Pushing...
Crowded...
This was normal for me and my family, it's something we all got used to, well not me, I hate crowded spaces, flashing lights, and especially yelling, it made me get anxious but I couldn't just suddenly stop it, it's just how people are when they see famous people.
My family is known for the handsome and beautiful-looking people anyone would want, my father owns many companies, my mother is well known for her modeling and beautiful figure, my oldest brother, James, is known for his amazing acting and his hot figure, also for his relationship with Net, another famous person, my 2nd youngest brother, Nunew, is known for his singing, acting, and modeling skills, and especially his perfect figure, as well as his relationship with the well known Zee, my youngest brother, Nat, is known for his acting skills and his cute figure, and also with his relationship with Max.
There's a pattern between my brothers and that's all of them are actors and dating famous men, you may think I am also an actor and dating a famous man, which is a bit right, I have acted in movies, series, and dating a famous man, but no one knows we're dating since I'm not comfortable with sharing that information, another thing is not a lot of people know or care about me which is to me, fine but being considered "an outcast", "useless brother", "good for nothing brother", or stuff like that makes me feel so bad about myself and jealous of my brothers but then again I can't do anything because all of those nicknames are true.
Growing up, I was considered a mistake by my parents, so they never gave me the attention that I desired, and then Nunew and Nat came. After those two were born, Something did change. When it was me, James, and my parents doing family photos, I was either put to the back or just to the side of my mom or dad. But after those two, I was barely included. I was mostly the one looking after them since James had piano classes and track competitions. But even when I was taking care of Nunew and Nat, my parents still gave them more attention than me which younger me though it was fine, that they were also gonna give me a bit of affection but that time never came.
After a few years, I stopped believing my parents would change.
And ever since, no one knows the actual truth about my family.
Not even my brothers.
Only me and most of my friends.
And that's not the worst part. No one knows what I love to do or what I love, activities, food, drinks, places, hobbies, songs, etc.
I don't even try to tell them anything about myself because I get ignored or people forget, which isn't wrong because I do tend to forget things, but it always the second I tell them something about me.
But I guess this is the "perfect" family for the people
I stepped into my family car, sitting in the back because I just wanted to fall asleep and forget about this event. The event was important, and that was Nu's coming up series, which was the next prince with Zee also being in the series.
It was the only thing people were talking about, I mostly zoned out during the event which I kinda feel guilty about because I should've been listening to my brother talking and being excited about his coming up series but a part of me just didn't care.
I feel a light tap on my shoulder and I open my eyes to see Nat, he smiles at me and I smile back before both of us get off, I walk straight to my room not caring if they are calling me, I take off all of my clothes and putting on new clothes then going to my drawer, taking out a folder, looking into the folder.
RING!!
RING!!
I grabbed my phone, looking at who it was before answering.
-Hey Yim!-
Hey, why did you call me
I needed help at my store, so I tried calling the rest, but none of them would answer, so I called you
Well, I dont have anything to do, so I'll be there
Thank you so much, Yim! This is why i live you more than the rest
No problem, I'll see you soon then, Bye!-
-Bye!-
I hung up and put the folder back in the drawer before grabbing my bag and leaving my room, closing the door behind me "Hia where are you going?" Nat said,"I need to help a friend of mine with her business, so I'll be back in a while," Yim replied. "Okay then, be careful, Hia," Nat spoke, Yim nodded at Nat before leaving the house.
I'm sorry that the first chapter is short, I'm busy with other stories that are in the process and with stuff irl, but I promise the next chapter will be longer :)

BYOB, bring your own best friend. "
°~Yim's POV~°
As I arrived at the store. I saw that the store was getting renovated; I wondered why I was called to help. Once I entered the store, his ears were blasted with music. I knew what that meant. I should've never picked up the phone, "Nayeli, is this why you called me?! To help you clean the store..." I exclaimed, The girl looked at me and laughed, "Well, of course!! Plus if you help me, I'll give you something in return!" She said. I looked at her, "And what is that?" I said with sass, "Uh... I'll do anything for you?" She muttered, "Really...?" I replied, she nodded. "Fine... I'll help you clean up." I sighed; she smiled at me. I started to clean the floors while Nayeli was cleaning the windows, "So, I heard what happened to Gigi. Is she doing okay?" I asked out of the blue, "She's doing okay, but her injury was brutal so she may not be able to perform which makes her feel overwhelmed because now her fans have to wait until her injury is healed," Nayeli answered me, I felt bad for her, Gigi has worked so hard to see her fans, here in Thailand, but now can't due to a sudden injury, Nayeli knew what I was thinking about, "She is upset that she let her fans down. The first thing that came out of her mouth when she found out about her injury was about how she was going on her world tour." She stated. I looked at her, and Nayeli shook her head, "Enough of that, let's talk about something else," she said, I went back to cleaning as well.
Nayeli ranted about how she wanted to go to a concert, I laughed at her rant, and she never stopped ranting about it, but it's good because it showed that she's comfortable, "Yim... how's it going...?" She suddenly asked out of the blue, I stopped what I was doing and looked at her, she was looking back at me, I had to think about it, "It's going well, a few more things and then I'm settled, just it's going to be hard because of you know what..." I answered, she looked at me with a soft frown, "Yim... Por favor..." I knew she was worried for me since she only uses Spanish when something isn't okay or for a few other reasons. But I ignore it, softly smiling at her, "Nayeli... It's okay, don't worry, if anything happens, I'll first tell you before anyone else..." I said, trying to make her not worried anymore. She sighed and smiled back, "Fine... But promise me." She stated, I nodded at her, "Let's change the topic again. How are you and Tutor doing?" She asked, I blushed a bit. Even though Tutor and I have been together since we were both in high school, I couldn't believe I would date him, to be honest. "We're doing great! Tutor is going to take me on a date tomorrow!" I looked at the ring he had bought me, and Nayeli laughed.
The door opens, and we both turn our heads to see who entered, "DAIYU!!" Nayeli shouted and both of the girls went to hug each other like they hadn't seen each other for years; the girls looked at me, "Come on, Yim!" Daiyu exclaimed, I walked to them and hugged them as well, a trio hug if you say, we all let go at the same time, "How are you doing, Yim?" She asked me, "Great! How about you? It's been a while since we talked!" I replied, she smiled, "Everything is great!" She claims, "Though I have a surprise for you!" She added, "What is it?" I replied, "I'M COMING BACK TO THE DANCE CREW!" She yelled, My eyes widened, and I smiled as wide as I could, hugging her, "I'm so happy that you're coming back! The others will be so happy to see you back!" I exclaimed, I let go of her. She had a big smile on her face, "I can't wait to get back together with the group!" She exclaimed, and Nayeli and I laughed, "How was China, Daiyu?" Nayeli interrupted. "It was great! I got to see my mother again!" Daiyu said. Daiyu then went on to rant about how her stay in China was, Nayeli gave her some cleaning materials, and Daiyu kept on ranting while helping me and Nayeli with cleaning the store
Daiyu and Nayeli are like each other. They do everything together, have the same interests, and especially love to rant about things they like or vacations they went on. They had a sibling bond like no other.
It kind of made me jealous, seeing that Daiyu and Nayeli aren't related but have a special sibling bond with each other. Their bond reminds me of me and James past bond. James and I used to be very close to each other, but after Nunew and Nat were born, everything changed.
James, Nunew, and Nat had a closer bond, I wasn't included.
It doesn't bother me a lot, but sometimes I wish that they shared a bond with me as well.
But we can't always have what we want.
I kept mopping the floor while Nayeli was cleaning the checkout and Daiyu was cleaning the kitchen; she kept on ranting about her trip to China, but she was mostly talking about how she met this one girl. "So you're telling us you fell in love with this girl?" Nayeli smirked; Daiyu froze, her face reddened. Me and I laughed, "Okay, maybe I did!" Daiyu blurted, "But I mean, can you blame me? She is so kind, respectful, beautiful, caring, and so lovable!" She said, "I even got her number!" She added, "And how did you get her number?" I questioned her, "Well, I went to this coffee shop she works at, and I had the guts to flirt with her, and she got so flattered that she gave me her number so we could start texting each other!" She replied, blushing at what she was saying, "I'm surprised you even had the guts to flirt with her, knowing that your flirting skills are like your cooking skills." I laughed at Nayeli's statement, "Well, at least I got to pull someone!" Daiyu tried to fight back, but Nayeli kept on teasing Daiyu. Both of them play fighting as well.
I smiled softly at them; though they were closer to each other, they never failed to include me anytime they hung usually me, mainly so they could try clothes and makeup on me; they always treated me as their priority. Though I always decline, they don't care, as long as I feel heard. It never fails to put a smile on my face knowing that they care about me. I heard my phone ringing; I took it out of my pocket and looked at who was calling me.
It was Tutor, "Don't tell me your nerdy boyfriend is calling you." Daiyu groans, walking towards me and snatching my phone, "I'll talk to your boyfriend so he doesn't Interrupt our time." Daiyu said with sass, answering the phone, "Hey tutor, sorry Yim is busy right now! So try calling him back later, Bye!" She hangs up the phone, "So now that we have the time for ourselves, why don't we go get some drinks?" Daiyu said we all nodded, "I'm not paying." I said, "Well I'm not either, Daiyu, your paying." Nayeli stated that Daiyu was shocked, "What! But I just got back from China!" Daiyu shouted; Nayeli ignored her, already walking out of her store, "Well, if Nayeli says you're paying, you're paying." I said, leaving the store, hearing Daiyu's voice, "Well then, wait for me, you bitches!" She says, catching up to Nayeli and me.
Hey guys! Hope you like this chapter, sorry if it was a bit confusing I tried to not spoil too much of the story in this chapter ╥﹏╥

Yim and Nayeli walked into a mall, Daiyu, who was now ahead, yelled at the two of them. "Come on, guys! The others are waiting for us!" Daiyu exclaimed, running a bit ahead. Yim sighed, "Wasn't she behind us?" He said, Nayeli shrugged. "It's better not to question it. Anyways, let's get going, " She added, Yim nodded. The group asked if they were all free to hang out. Everyone agreed to meet at the mall, which was the closest. Both of them caught up with Daiyu, who seemed to be excited to see the whole group again. Once they saw the rest of the group, Daiyu ran up to them, hugging them. Most of them were surprised but happy that she was back.
Yim walked up to Tutor and kissed him on the cheek, "Yim!" A voice declared it was Pak, Yim's childhood friend. "Pak! How are you? It's been a while since we hung out!" Yim replied, "I'm doing alright! Also, don't be dramatic; we hung out last week!" Pak giggles, "How are you?" He continued, "I'm doing fine." Yim said, "That's great. " Pak smiled, "I want to buy new albums. Does anyone want to go with me?" Nayeli interrupted, "I'll go with you, I want to buy new books!" Aya spoke up, "Well, Daiyu and I are going to buy jewelry, " Kate announced, "We'll meet each other at the food court in a bit?" Sunny questioned; the group agreed, and Nayeli and Aya walked into the bookstore while Kate and Daiyu left to find the jewelry store. "Wanna go to search for new clothes?" Pak's voice rang out; Yim nodded, and both of them walked ahead, leaving their boyfriends behind.
"Yim and Pak haven't changed," Sunny teased; Tutor laughed. "I'm glad, especially for Yim," Tutor stated, Sunny nodded. "Let's catch up to them before they do something stupid," Sunny said. The boys went and caught up with their loved ones.
°~Tutor's POV~°
I walked with Sunny into a clothing store, Yim and Pak were looking at anything that caught their attention. The boys laughed and talked to each other. It put a smile on my face; Yim has a shine in his eyes.
I wish I could see Yim like this every day.
"Tutor! Do you think this top will go with these pants?" I looked at Yim. He was holding a cute top with a pair of pants. I nodded. His smile was shining like the Sun.
"Pak, you already have a lot of clothes" I heard Sunny's voice, he was with Pak. Who seems to frown at his boyfriend. Sunny looked defeated at the sight of his boyfriend's frown. I let out a small chuckle before walking towards Yim. He seemed to be so interested in the new clothes he chose. "I'm not sure if I should buy them all..." Yim suddenly sighed, "Why not?" I asked. He looked at me. "My parents are going to get mad..." "I could always put them in my closet" I answered, "Really?" He mumbled, I nodded. His eyes shined at the answer I gave him. He wrapped his hands around my neck, I wrapped my hands around his waist. "Thank you, Tutor! This why I love you!" He said, kissing my cheek.
He unwrapped his hands, walking straight to the cashier. I smiled at the sight. I looked around to see Sunny and Pak doing the same thing. Pak and Yim are the same, you can practically call them twins. They always do things together. You'll always find them together. Whether with their friends, boyfriends, or the two of them.
°~Yim's POV~°
Me and the group were walking until we heard Aya's voice call out. "Hey guys!" I saw her run towards us. She was holding a few bags in her hands. The rest of the group trailed behind her. I wave towards them, smiling. Everyone went into conversations with each other. It made my heart warm up to see them happy. I felt my phone ring and took it out. It was my mother.
"Tutor, I'll be right back. My mother is calling me." I whispered; Tutor frowned. Nodding, as he kisses me on the lips. I blushed a bit before walking a few feet away from the group.
-Yes Mae?-
-Yim, I need you to come home for dinner.-
-But I'm out with...-
-I don't care. Nu wants the whole family to eat dinner before he leaves for China.-
-Yes Mae, I'll be there soon.-
-Good. Also, for the love of God, put on a happy face when you come into the house.-
-Yes, Mae...-
She hung up before I could say anything else; I sighed heavily. Always ordering me around.
I walk back to the group, Tutor sensing that something is wrong. He stood up, wrapping his arms around my waist; I sighed heavily. "She wants me home for dinner since Nu is leaving for China tomorrow morning, so they want to have the family all together," I say, my hands clenched, my face frowning. "Really? Ugh, that woman is insane." Tutor spat, letting go of me. I glanced at everyone else, *They must've heard.* I thought. "Well then, I must get going. I don't want her to get mad..." I softly frowned, Pak was the first one to say something. "Alright, text us if anything happens." The group nodded in agreement; I giggled a bit. "I'll take you home, Yim." Tutor declares, "Well, I'll see you guys!"
I waved at them, they waved back. As Tutor and I exited the mall, he seemed lost in thoughts.
"Tutor? Is everything okay? You seemed lost in thoughts..." I touched his cheek with one of my hands, and he took my hand, planting a kiss on it. I blush a bit, "It's nothing, Yim." He tries to convince me, and I sigh. Letting the conversation die down. "Fine, but please tell me if anything is bothering you." I softly smiled at him, he smiled back. "We better get going or else, she'll get mad at you." He changed the topic.
We both entered his car, "Don't even remind me, I can't stand being in that place." I groaned, my hands clenching. *I just want to get out of that hell.* I thought to myself, my mind was all over the place.
It took me a while to realize that we arrived, not until Tutor spoke up. "Well, Yim, I'll see you later?" He questioned, "Of course, Tutor. You know they won't care if I'm home or not." I joked, and he chuckled.
"Alright, text me when you want me to pick you up," I nod at him and kiss him before I exit the car. Waving at him, as he drives away.
I take out my phone to check the time, *4:27 p.m. At least I'm early.* I thought, walking to the front door.
As I enter to take off my shoes, "Yim, my sweetheart, for once, you're not late!" The woman joked. I gave her a fake smile, "Come on! Dinner is served!" Her bright smile made me sick; I slowly walked to the dining room. "Where's everyone else?" I asked, "I almost forgot! I'll go call them!"
I saw the woman leave the dining room, a sigh left out of my mouth. I sat down in my chair, waiting for everyone else to come down for dinner. "Yim, it amazed me that you're the first one here." I glanced at the man, and I fake smiled at his teasing, softly chuckling. "Hia, you're here!" I heard Nunew's voice call out; his smile brightened up the room. "Of course, I wouldn't want to miss this dinner. Especially since you're leaving the next morning!" I exclaimed.
"If only you guys would do the same for me." I whispered under my breath, "Did you say something, Yim?" Nunew asked; I shook my head. "Well, then, I'll get the food plated." The man said.
Once everyone got seated the plates were severed. The house was filled with sound.
Except not by me.
I quietly eat my food as I hear my family's voice fill my ears; many of the conversations were about my brothers and their accomplishments. Mainly about Nunew's.
Yet not one word about my accomplishments was uttered.
But I didn't care or mind. Just that it wouldn't hurt for them to praise me for my accomplishments from time to time.
I kept on eating as if nothing affected me; I zoned out most of the dinner. It was a habit of mine that I couldn't break if I ever wanted. But no one has to know that, nor would they care if they do. "Oh, that reminds me, Nunew." The woman said, getting up from her seat to grab something. Though, I didn't pay attention to them. "Oh, Mae, you shouldn't have!" I saw Nunew almost in tears. The lady gave him a gift, though I couldn't see what it was. I knew it was something Nunew always wanted by his reaction, "It's just a small gift so you remember us while you and Zee are in China!" The lady exclaimed. I rolled my eyes, going back to eating my food. *Two face bitch.* I thought to myself.
!After dinner!
"Be safe, you two, and say hi to Max and Net for me!" I heard the woman, who I called my mother, wave at them. The man, who I called father, also waved at them as they drove away. Though, I never saw them as my parents.
"Yim, couldn't you be more engaged!?" The woman shouted once the two boys were out of her sight. "You didn't even give your brothers a proper goodbye!" She kept on rambling. "Well, it isn't my fault that whenever I try to speak, I always get cut off!" I snapped, "Don't you dare raise your voice at me!" Her voice was demanding. I rolled my eyes, "This is why I favor your siblings over you, you don't even have respect for your parents." She claimed I stopped washing the dishes. The house was silent, only the sound of water running.
"See you get so angry by one small comment! I didn't raise you to be a sensitive little bitch!?" She started screaming at me, her husband walked away to their room. I sighed before going back to washing the dishes while the woman in her 40s kept on screaming at me.
Those two don't deserve to be called 'parents' by me.
"This is why I never wanted you, you selfish entitled fucking bitch!" It was the only thing I processed as I turned off the water and dried my hands. My eyes wander around anywhere but at her. "You're a mistake, Yim." My eyes finally noticed her, her eyes were filled with the same disappointment and hatred she has whenever she looks at me.
Mistake.
Mistake.
Mistake.
"You're a mistake, Yim." Echoed through my head.
🦋⃟ Flashback 🦋⃟
"Mae! Mae! Look what I got on my exam!" Eleven-year-old James's voice echoed through our house; he was running ahead while I was behind. Slowly walking. As we both entered the house, our mother was preparing the food. Our mother smiled at us, or more supposedly at James. "You guys got your exams back?" She asked, we both nodded. We handed her our papers, she looked at James's paper first. "James! You got 100, that's my boy!" Her voice was joyful. "Go on, change out of your uniform, and get ready for dinner, after you get a surprise!" James's eyes shined as he ran to his room. She then looked at mine.
"92? Why couldn't you be more like your brother who got 100?" Her voice mocked me, my head hung down.
"I'll do better next time, Mae..." I mumbled, "There's no next time, Yim." She sighed before continuing, "You're a mistake. You can't even get 100 like your brother! How do you think you'll survive in this life?!" She slammed the paper on the dining table. "You won't have dinner today for the rest of the week. You'll be studying in your room instead." She ordered, my eyes widened. "Mae! Please, I'll do better, I promise! Just please let me eat!" I begged, trying not to raise my voice or cry. I looked into her eyes, trying to find an answer.
Instead, I was slapped as an answer.
It was the first time I was called a mistake by my mother. At the age of ten.
Though it wasn't the first I was hit or starved.
"Go to your room, I'll have your father deal with you later." She demanded, I ran to my room. Slamming the door as I fell to my knees, tears started to fall. The same night, my father came into my room and started beating me.
I remember that night that I wouldn't go to sleep in fear of my father beating me up once more, as well as my tears being dried up from crying so hard.
That whole week was all punishments.
Being starved, being beaten, and going to school like nothing happened. I was scared to even speak a word for fear of being beaten. Pak was the only one who noticed but couldn't do anything.
🦋⃟ Flashback end 🦋⃟
It was the moment I stopped calling my parents 'Mother' or 'Father.
I remember the first I was hit and starved was at the age of 4, the reason was that I made my two younger brothers cry. But no one noticed that I was starved or bruised, and even if they did, they didn't care.
I stood silent as the lady walked up to me and hit me, fighting back tears. She repeatedly hits me, throwing me to the ground. I was helpless during these times because it always ended with me having more bruises. "Don't you dare disrespect me or your father ever again! You know the consequences for that." She coldly stated. Walking away to her and that man's room. I stayed in the kitchen, and tears fell. My face burns from the hits I took.
I got up from the ground and rushed to my room. Looking through my drawer, and grabbing a few folders. Pulling out my phone to text Tutor.
Yim♡:Code red. Pick me up in 10 minutes.
Tor♡:Of course my love♡
I put the folders in a bag, hanging the bag over my shoulder. I looked at myself in the mirror; the bruises weren't as bad. I put rubbing alcohol on them and bandaged them. I then put on my shoes and escaped through my bedroom window, I closed the window and ran to where Tutor usually parked, which was a good distance from the house. Tutor was leaning against the car, his eyes observing for me. Once he saw me, he rushed up to me. "What the hell happened!?" He questioned.
"I'll tell you once we get away from here..." I begged, he nodded before he helped me get in the car. The car ride to his house was silent, none of us uttered a word. It somehow gave me comfort as I glanced through the window. The night sky was out; the stars were like glitter from one's perspective. *Just what Grandma told me, I wish she was here to comfort me...* My grandma was the only one to defend me from my parents. She was one of the reasons I kept on living.
"Yim, darling, we're here." I heard Tutor's soft voice; I glanced at him. His eyes were filled with worry and love. I smiled at him before getting out of the car. As we entered the house, Tutor hugged me from behind. I frowned as the tears I didn't know I held back started to fall. "That place is hell," I cried.
Though Tutor didn't say anything, his presence gave me comfort.
"I can't live in that place anymore, I don't even know how I survived that hell for all these years!" I ranted, choking on my tears in the process. "Please, Tutor, I need to get out of that house! Yet they won't let me!" I bawled my eyes out. Turning around to look at the Tutor. His eyes were filled with hurt and love.
"I wish I could do something about it, Yim." Tutor felt helpless. I buried my head into his chest. Crying my heart out. I wiped my eyes, I went and sat on the couch. Taking off the bag, opening it, and handing the folders to Tutor. "Wait, why are you giving me these?" He asked, "These are copies in case something happens to the one I have." I paused, taking a deep breath.
"I can't risk anything happening that'll ruin this." I continued, "I'll keep them safe, Yim" Tutor stated, "I know you will." I softly say; he sits down beside me, taking the folders.
"I will always be on your side. Through thick and thin." Tutor announced. Making me smile at him. "I love you, Tor." "I love you too, Yim." He says it back, giving me a peck on the lips. I blushed. Tutor places the folders on the table in front of us. "Wanna watch something?" He asked; I fastly nodded my head. "Let's watch Cinderella!" Tutor laughs, "You always want to watch Cinderella." "Well, it's my favorite movie ever since my grandma made me watch it!" I exclaimed, "Well, then, I'll get some snacks ready." I nodded as I grabbed a box with DVDs, selecting Cinderella. Once Tutor came back, I put on the movie.
It was like the first time watching it with my grandma. I was a happy little kid, having the time of my life.
I ended up falling asleep, "Goodnight, my darling." It was the last thing I heard from Tutor before falling into a deep sleep.

My one-shot story updates will be a lot faster because it will get me motivated to write chapters for my other 2 books. Though it won't be as fast as people many want it to be, it will still be a lot faster than updating this book and my other book. °~Author POV~°
Yim woke up to see himself surrounded by grass. He slowly got up, searching for anything around him. Until it hit him, the sight of his family's old house. The same hell hole he'd been enduring for most of his childhood and teen years until an incident occurred that caused the house to burn down. He remembered it like it was yesterday, the smoke entering his nostrils, the fire causing burn marks all over his body. But what hurt the most was his parents' reaction.
His very own parents were supposed to care for him, or at least that was what he kept saying to himself. Those very two people didn't care that he had burn marks and blood all over his body.
Yim saw the disgust in their eyes seeing their "son" on the hospital bed, bandages wrapped all over him. It made Yim want to throw up seeing the parents who were supposed to take care of him being disgusted. It didn't help that Yim felt disgusted by the sight of the outcome for his body.
Yim was lost in his own thoughts to realize that it was a nightmare, not until he heard his younger self cry out.
He saw his younger self banging on the door. It was pouring rain.
Causing the 10-year-old Yim to cry even harder, Yim heard the 10-year-old plead.
"Mama! I'm sorry! I'll be a good kid!"
"Papa! I'm sorry! Please let me in! You can hit me instead!"
Yim ran to the 10-year-old as a sign of comfort.
Except he was meant with darkness, the scene of his 10-year-old self vanished. "No... No! This is all a nightmare... It has to be!?" Yim felt like he was going insane.
He fell to his knees, tears filling his eyes once more.
He started to cry. Crying for the parents he yearned to have, as well as for his brothers. His brothers, whom he truly loves about.
Until he woke up.
He quickly sat up, his head was drenched in a bit of sweat, and his heart was racing. It was a nightmare. Yim took a deep breath before letting his eyes wander around the room. It seemed that he was now in Tutor's bed. He must've carried him to his bed. Yim buried his head in his hands. He was trying to regulate his heartbeats. But the memories of the nightmare came back, which caused more unwanted memories to fill his head.
"Yim...?" A croaky voice whispered, Yim whipped his head to look at Tutor. His hair was a bit messy, and his face was covered with worry. It wasn't anything new for both of them, but that didn't stop Tutor from worrying. "Did I wake you up?" Yim asked, "You had another nightmare, didn't you?" Tutor replied. Yim slowly nodded. He felt miserable. He felt like he was drowning. He tried to get to the top but failed. He didn't know where he was going wrong.
Yim felt his boyfriend's arms wrap around his waist. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Tutor slowly approached the situation, noticing the reaction on Yim's face. "I saw my younger self being locked out of the house for the first time ever..." Yim spoke slowly, remembering the nightmare. How he heard his younger self crying for his parents ached his heart. His inner child always yearned for parental love. Tutor listened carefully. He knew how Yim felt, and he felt useless that he couldn't do much about it. He was angry at Yim's parents for abusing and neglecting him up until now. But this wasn't about his shitty parents. This was about Yim.
"I don't know where I went wrong. I mean, I did everything they asked me to. Doing chores, studying, and taking care of my younger brothers. I've done everything they asked and plenty more. Yet I was always doing something wrong in their eyes." Yim ranted. He seemed to get lost in his memories. "I saw the hint of disgust in their eyes. It was like I wasn't normal to them," Yim whispered the last sentence.
Tutor kissed his cheek, "You did nothing wrong, Yim. I want you to always remember that." Tutor tried to comfort Yim.
"I'm sorry..." it was Yim muttered, "I'm sorry that I'm a bother to you." Yim's voice cracked at the last part. Yim turned his head to face. Tutor, tutor eyes were filled with sadness and love. "Don't apologize, Yim," Tutor replied.
Though Yim didn't take that a good way, "I mean it, Tutor. I've been bothering you since we've been together, instead of me being a good boyfriend to you. I argued with you, isolated myself from you, and did things that made you hurt!" Yim started to cry. He was the worst son, grandson, friend, and partner. He could never do things right. Though Tutor only looked at him with pure love, he never once held anything against Yim. He knew that everything wasn't his fault. Though he could've controlled the outcome of his coping mechanisms, it was easier said than done.
"I don't hate you, Yim. I could never because then I betrayed myself if I did." Tutor replied calmly, Yim didn't want to believe his lover's words. He couldn't believe that Tutor would still love him truly afterward.
Yet he did believe him. He knew Tutor just as much as he did. Yim stood up from the bed. He felt numb. He felt his throat close up. He felt more tears slip down. "I can't keep with this. I just can't..." Yim blurted, Tutor quietly stood up and reached for Yim's hand. "You can, Yim. Keep on fighting. You've been doing this for years. What's a few more months gonna do? Yes, you may be at your limit, but you have me with you. You have our friend group as well. You especially have your grandma with you spiritually." Tutor said, though Yim couldn't hear him. His ears ringing, his body starting to shake, and his throat started to close up even more.
Tutor knew where this was going. "Yim, follow my breathing, okay?" Yim shakely nodded his head, trying to follow his partner's breathing.
Once Tutor knew his breathing was more relaxed, he slowly made his way to the next step. "Now, give me 3 things you can see," He said calmly. "You... The bed... The nightstand..." Yim replied, "Great, now. Can you give me 2 things you hear?" "Your voice... Cars driving..." Yim once again responded. Tutor smiled, "Finally, name 1 thing you feel." Tutor finished, "Your touch..." Yim said before taking a deep breath.
"I'm sorry..." Yim whispered, Tutor shook his head and hugged him. He saw how Yim melted into his comfort. "I wish I could get rid of all your problems. You've been suffering for too long, Yim... I will always love you from your biggest to your smallest moments..." Tutor confessed. "So don't you ever apologize for things you can control..." He added.
"I love you too, Tutor. Even in our afterlife, I will always love you." Yim replied, Tutor felt calmer. "Are you ready to talk about it? If not, we can talk about it tomorrow." Tutor asked, Yim shook his head. "It's too much for me to talk about right now. Let's talk about it tomorrow, my love." Yim said, which Tutor nodded. "I'm fine with that. Let's go back to bed." Yim smiled softly at him before the both of them laid on the bed. Falling asleep in each other embrace.
¡Next Day!
°~Yim's POV~°
I woke up to an empty bed, *Guess Tutor already woke up...* I thought to myself as I checked the clock, it was only 9 am. I felt so tired from what happened last night.
I slowly got up from the bed and went to the living room as I approached the kitchen. I heard 3 voices, it was Tutor and two other voices I couldn't hear well. Though I didn't have a good feeling about the two voices. "It's nothing personal. We just want him. That's all." A female voice rang out. *Shit, so it is them.* My mind runs with different outcomes. "You're saying it like he's your pet. Let me make something clear, Yim is and will never be your little guinea pig." I hear Tutor say, his voice full with anger. The woman, Mei, chuckled a bit. Trying to stop herself from laughing. I felt disgust as I heard her voice. "Now, now... What makes you think you know it all...?" Her voice was deep and blunt.
I took a deep breath and entered the kitchen.
"I suggest you leave, or else we'll have to get the police involved." I stated, not taking a glance at those two people. "Yim, my sweetheart... We were worried about you, " She said, her voice sweet yet blunt.
Tutor gave me a glance, and he took a deep breath. "I agreed with your son. We don't want to involve the police, knowing fully well you guys don't want the media to know that the middle child of the Khansawa family gave a restraining order on his own parents..." Tutor stirred his tea as he finished. Mei scoffed. "Have your parents ever taught you maners?" The man named Somchai blurted. "Have your parents ever taught you not to trespass someone's property?" Tutor spiked back. He still had his usual fake smile. Mei gave her husband a look before the both of them stood up.
"Yim, we'll deal with you when you get home." Mei said, grabbing her purse. I scoffed, "I must say, I don't have to go home. Not anymore, since I'm an adult." I stated, smiling at them. "You ungrateful brat..." I hear the woman say under her breath. "Just because we share the same last name doesn't mean you can still boss me around like a guinea pig." I argued. "You have no way to speak to your parents like that." "We only share a last name. Nothing more. I'm not that same little boy anymore. So I suggest that you two get out before I call the police." I demanded, "Come on, dear. Let's not waste time anymore here." Mei grabbed her husband's arm.
As I watched, their figure disappeared as they stepped out of the house. I felt fear being washed away.
"You did good, Yim." I hear Tutor say as he rested his hand on my shoulder. "I know, it's just I can't seem to breathe for a second without them barging in." I explain while making myself some tea. "It's been too long, Yim. You have to do it soon. You can't let them roam freely after what they've done." "I can't, I don't have enough evidence to even try. You know how they are, the people they know. They'll pay people to lie for them so they don't have to go to court." I sigh, Tutor slowly dropped the topic. "Well, I said I was going to take you on a date." His tone changed. He was more relaxed and happy. I smiled, "May I ask where you'll be taking me?" Tutor put a finger on his chin. "That's a secret. All I can say is to be ready at 1 pm." He paused to take a sip from his tea. "I have a few things to get ready before I pick you up!" He exclaimed.
"Well then, I'll see you soon." Tutor said, kissing both of my cheek. I smiled widely as I watched him grab his car keys and head out. *How I love him...* I thought to myself as I placed both of our cups in the sink.
RING!
I turn off the faucet as I dry my hands. Pulling my phone out of my pocket. *Nunew is calling...I guess it won't hurt to answer.* I thought as I answered.
-Hia! I'm glad you answered-
-Hey Nu, you mainly text, so may I ask why?-
-Well, James asked me to call you since Nat and him couldn't reach you-
-Huh? I guess I had my phone on silence-
-Well, I'm glad you're doing alright!-
-How's your trip with Zee going?-
-It's amazing! We went to an aquarium as a date-
I softly smiled, Nunew had always loved going to the aquarium. The memories of him begging our parents to go flash through.
-Seems that you liked it-
-I did! Well, I have to get going. I'll notify James and Nat that you're doing great-
-Well then, see you later.-
I say as Nunew hangs up. *Huh...Guess they did call me* I think as I scroll through the missed calls from them. I then get another call. I groan as I see the caller's name. I turn off my phone, placing it down on the table as I go back to cleaning the dishes. Though the calls didn't stop.
I dry my hands before I answer the man I used to my father, Somchai.
-Finally, you answered.-
-May I ask what you want now.-
-Is that how you talk to your father?-
-How funny, You don't deserve me to call you a father.-
-Now, you listen here. I don't care that you're at that man's house, but I won't tolerate that you disrespect me.-
-Disrespect!? I've done nothing but did everything in my will for you and a piece of shit that I used to call my mother approval.-
-How dare you call!-
-No! I won't stand here and listen to you, gaslighting me again! I'm done with the two of you ruining my life!-
I hang up as the man tries to 'convince' me, walking towards the bedroom.
I collapse to the floor, and the tears I've been holding back start to slip. I've done what they've asked for the past 23 years. 23 years of neglect, abuse, gaslight, and manipulation. I'm so tired. I can't keep on fighting because in the end. I'm still the sensitive boy who craves for his parents' approval. The boy who stood in his brothers shadow.
I will always be that boy. Even if we share a last name, I'm still that boy. A troublesome child.
*Why does this keep happening to me, All I ask is for a break from this 'perfect' family!* I wiped my tears, and I decided to take a shower to clear my mind. Once I finish, I check the time. 12:30 pm. I got ready as I saw a message from Tutor.
Tor♡:Hope you're ready for the surprise ;)
I giggled a bit as I sent a heart emoji, placing the phone down as I fixed my hair a bit. I put on earrings as I got up and put a jacket over my outfit. I hear another notification from my phone, another message from Tutor.
Tor♡:Ready? I'm waiting outside :)
Yim♡:I'll be outside in a bit :D
I put my phone in my pocket before walking to the living room, putting my shoes on. I turned off all the lights before stepping out.
¡☆To Be Continued☆!
A/N: I wanna apologize for taking so long to post this chapter. A lot has been happening regarding my overall health. Since I have been in and out of the hospital due to private issues. Though I hope you liked this chapter♡
Have a great day/night!♡
Chapter 6: A/N: Why I haven't been posting a lot + an explanation for my hiatus‼️
Chapter Text
Hi everyone! I didn't really want to write this, but I decided that this was the best for me and my mental and physical health.
I haven't been posting chapters as fast as I thought I would do so because, a few months ago, I had to go to the hospital for private issues, and during that time, my mental and physical health was getting worse to the point where I had to stay a few extra days in the hospital. I started getting behind a lot of things, including writing new chapters; when I did write new chapters, I was basically forcing myself to do so because I loved seeing your supportive comments and kudos,s, but it wasn't healthy for me to do so.
Writing has been a hobby of mine for years, even since COVID. I've been writing a lot more because it helped me waste time. But it isn't my priority; I realized that a bit too late while I was writing new chapters. My first priority should be myself, so I've decided to actually take a hiatus until my spring break, which is around two weeks or so; I need to actually take time for myself and focus on the things I'm behind, such as school, checking up on my friends, etc.
I am so glad for all of your supportive comments and kudos, but I hope you guys will understand my reasons and respect them.
Have a good day/night, and until next time!🫶

"And I am the idiot with the painted face
In the corner, taking up space
But when he walks in, I am loved, I am loved"
Yim stepped out of Tutor's house. He waved at Yim before walking up to Yim, "Yim, you look beautiful, may I be the one to take you out?" Tutor teased the shorter man, Yim's laughter was like a melody to Tutor. Yim nodded at Tutor's remark, "Well, let me take you to places only we know." Tutor held out his hand. Yim placed his hand on top of Tutor's. He was guided into the car.
Yim had always felt safe and heard around Tutor, the way Tutor had comforted made Yim's heart flutter. Tutor is the main reason why Yim believes in love. Tutor has been with him through thick and thin without complaints, though he does complain about Yim's parent, there was a difference between them.
Yim wouldn't know where he would stand without having Tutor by his side. If he had stayed alive or not, if he hadn't had Tutor by his side. Tutor was his other half, the half that completed him and comforted him.
The car ride was silent, the tune of the calm wind walking through the city helped fill the comfortable silence between the couple a bit. It gave a more relaxing feeling for them.
Yim cherished these types of moments, having a moment of silence to himself was something he would always need after a long day with his family. Though, he rarely got a moment to himself.
Yim was always suffocated by his family; hell, even his brothers sometimes made him feel overwhelmed. It wasn't their fault. It's that Yim isn't 'normal' or what his parents deemed him as. He was always a problematic child to them, always crying, never behaving, or doing things his brothers already knew how to do right. "Muyim, can you hear me?" Yim turned his head towards the man in the driver's seat.
"Close your eyes, I have a surprise for you." Tutor smiled from ear to ear as he gave instructions. So, Yim followed him, closing his eyes while Tutor got out of the car and went around to open the door for Yim.
"Here, I'll guide you; you trust me, right?" He said to Yim, and his response was a nod. Tutor took one of Yim's hands in his, leading him the way to his surprise. Once Tutor finally slowed his steps, Yim deemed it a sign to open his eyes.
Yim searched his surroundings. He was at the beach. The way his shoes sank a bit into the sand, and the waves sang a marvelous melody. But this wasn't any ordinary beach for the two.
"You brought me to the beach where I confessed to you?" Yim chuckled as he eyed the sea. "Well, not just that. I knew you were overwhelmed, so I wanted to bring you to a place where you can breathe peacefully. I even made the same sandcastle from the first time we met here." Tutor cheerfully explained.
Yim smiled from ear to ear; it was a peaceful smile, one that one would feel when they finally felt good with themselves.
"You're amazing, have I ever told you that?" Yim suddenly said, sitting down on the sand. Tutor put a finger on his chin, and it looked like he was actually thinking about it. "No, I haven't. Would you care to tell me at this moment?" Tutor quietly asked, sitting down next to Yim. Yim's response was another genuine smile. One that he thought would never happen after years of being unloved. "Well, I mean it. You're the best person I've ever met, not just as my 'boyfriend' or 'partner' but as an individual. I love that about you, how you seem to remember small things about me. You even remember the sandcastle we'd built together after 9 years." Yim said, the feeling of love fills his heart.
"Why should I forget a symbol of our love?" Tutor replied, watching the waves of the ocean dance. Yim blushed a bit, both from embarrassment and love. The two of them sat in silence once more, the sunset setting in front of them. It was a beautiful view, the ocean glistening against the beauty of the sunset.
"You know, the sunset and the ocean look good together. They are both beautiful on their own, but they glow even better together. It's like they become one." Tutor suddenly spoke up, which made Yim glance, "Just like us, we both shine on our own, but we become one together. You're my everything, Yim. Without you, I'm a desperate and sad man." Tutor leaned towards Yim, pecking his lips before standing up and running away; surprising Yim.
"Hey! That's not fair, Tor!" Yim came to a sudden realization and went after his lover. Yim scanned his surroundings. He didn't have the best stamina, so he was already out of breath.
Tutor was nowhere to be found, which made Yim groan since he didn't want to play seeker after a long day. He walked in the sand, and some of the sand flew into his shoes. "Tor! Come out, I'm done trying to play seeker!" Yim yelled as he lazily pulled his body to walk, until he felt a small touch on his shoulder. Yim turned his body to look at the person. It was Tutor, he had both hands behind his back. "My love, I have something for you..." Tutor started off calmly and slowly.
Yim felt his heart in his throat. "I swear if it's a prank, I'm going to break up with you."
Yim anxiously said. Last time Tutor did this, he got splashed with silly string, he was not about to deal with this again. Especially since he got it into his mouth.
Tutor chuckled, "I promise you, it's not like that." Tutor explained before showing the gift.
It was a bouquet of flowers, except they were honeysuckle.
Yim's favorite flower.
"Tutor, this is beautiful..." Yim was lost for words, he had a special love for these flowers since his grandma would always have some placed in a vase at her house. It was her favorite flower, passed down to Yim. A remembrance of her. Memories of her flashed through Yim.
🦋⃟ Flashback🦋⃟
A young boy slowly walked with an elderly woman. The two of them engaged in a conversation with each other. The two of them were walking towards a store.
"Sawasdee Ka, Khun Amara!" A woman in her early 20s greeted the elderly woman. "Nong Chai, how are you?" Amara said, looking at the woman up and down. "You are so thin! Are you sure you're eating right? You know you can't study well if you don't have fuel!" Amara nagged, making the woman laugh. "Don't worry, I've been making sure I eat well," Chai responded.
The young woman glanced at the young boy hiding behind Amara. "Oh, who do we have here?" She crouched down to take a better look at the boy. "This is my grandson, his name is Yim," Amara said.
"Say hello to the lady, Yim" The elderly woman softly spoke to the boy. The boy looked up at his grandma before looking at the young woman. He put out one of his arms to wave at her. Amara chuckled, "He's not someone who likes to talk to strangers," she explained as the younger woman nodded. "He reminds me of myself when I was younger, I used to cling to my aunt whenever I went out with her!" She exclaimed.
"That reminds me, I have some extra honeysuckle that wasn't bought and I thought you would like them. They're your favorite flowers after all." Chai stood up and quickly went inside her store. Bringing out a bouquet of honeysuckle. They were a mix of pink and yellow. Creating a beautiful color mix. The young boy's eyes shone with admiration. One of the most beautiful flowers that the young boy's eyes fell on. The boy slowly reached for the flowers, causing his grandma to chuckle.
"You like these, my love?" The older woman's voice was as sweet as honey when talking to her grandson. The boy nodded profusely, "Beautiful flowers like MarMar!" Yim exclaimed, "How adorable of him to give you a nickname!" The younger woman squealed. "He loves to give nicknames to the people he loves," Amara explained, making the boy point at Chai. "Like ChiChi!" Young Yim jumped with excitement.
"Aw! Your grandson is such an adorable one compared to the others I met," the woman complimented the young boy. The grandma thanked her in response.
The young boy's admiration for honeysuckle sprouted that day.
🦋⃟ End of Flashback🦋⃟
Yim felt warmth in his heart. He felt love for the man in front of him. How the hell did he deserve Tutor? How did he deserve any of this? Why did he deserve this?
Yim smiled from ear to ear, tears threatening to escape his eyes. "You bastard... You didn't have to do this..." Yim joked as he took the bouquet of honeysuckle.
"Of course I had too. You deserve to be loved." Tutor said, placing his hand on Yim's cheek. "I don't know what I'll do without you. You were the best thing that happened to me." Yim replied, smiling from ear to ear. "I promise you, one day we'll get away far from our problems and in peace forever." Tutor leaned towards Yim and whispered. "Nothing will bother us anymore, especially not those monsters who call themselves your parents. I promise you." Tutor added, hiding in Yim's neck. The scent of citrus and vanilla attacked Tutor's nose. It felt comforting, like home.
Tears tried to escape from Yim, but he quickly hid them. He didn't know what love meant. Not until he met Tutor, the man who saw love in everything, he saw love in Yim. A broken, dirty, and useless old doll. A doll that was thrown away since it was no longer usable. Tutor didn't see him like that, instead, he saw him as a new toy that should be treasured. Treated with gentle care and love.
"I love you, Tutor." Yim blurted, gently tossing the bouquet down in the sand. "I love you too, Yim." Tutor muffled his response but Yim heard him loud and clear. Suddenly, Yim glanced up, the night had come already. Illuminating the beautiful and dazzling stars. They looked like someone threw diamond dust into the night, creating a beautiful dusty blue color that radiated.
"The stars are beautiful. Aren't they?" Yim flinched from the sudden words from Tutor. He was so indulged by those stars that he didn't realize Tutor moved to see the stars as well. Tutor chuckled a bit, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said before he decided to lie down on the sand. Yim shook his head, "I was just a bit surprised." He replied, lying down next to his lover.
The two lovers lay in the sand for a while, entangled in each other's love.
The clouds quickly hover over each other, erasing the dusty blue color that painted the sky; except, one stood still, quietly mumbling.

A/N: Whoa??? I'm alive?? I'm extremely sorry that it took so long to upload a new chapter😓 Writer's block has been hitting me really hard, no matter how much I try to write at least a couple of words.😞 I honestly loved writing this story since I love writing fluff even if it took me so long! I will say though, things will start burning🤫
Hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I'll see you in the next chapter! Have a great day/night!💕🦋
Chapter 8: Author Note and how I'm moving forward.
Chapter Text
Hi guys, I didn't think I would make another note because personally, I don't like doing them. Except, I have to this time since this is something that may happen to me and if it does, I want you guys to be aware and understand what will happen to my fanfics.
No, I'm not abandoning them or leaving them unfinished as I really want to finish all of my on going fanfics and make more in the future.
If you haven't read, I've mentioned a few times that my health hasn't been the best. A year ago I've been having problems with my eyesight that leads to headaches and pain in general. I've seen eye doctors to find out the problem and have been diagnosed with Nystagmus.
The main thing is that I have to get an MRI to find out if my condition is related to any neurological problem. The biggest problem for me is that I have a higher chance for cancer.
It hasn't been confirmed yet since I still need to get the MRI but even after I do that and it comes negative or positive, I really want to focus on myself and find an alternative solution that can help me reduce these headaches and eye pains that I've been having for the past year and a half. I don't want to be in constant pain that I can't write fanfics which is something I really love. I also just want to have time to myself to think on what I'll do with my life after that appointment, whether the outcome of it. Overall, I've just been having a bad year with consistent stress and losses of love ones.
Now, what does this mean with upcoming chapters and my fanfics in general?
I'll still try my best to post chapters and re-edit some of the chapters that I personally want to redo. The thing is that there will be some times where updates will not come for months, though I'll try my best to not let it go for a year since I don't want you guys to be waiting for so long.
Again, I wrote this because I needed to set something for what I'm doing for the sake of my health and my love for writing fanfics.
This current situation will not overcome my love for writing. I promise you guys, whether the outcome for this won't affect the love I have for your support on every fanfic I've written💕💕
I hope you guys have a great day/night and take care of yourself💕💕
