CHALLENGES - XII. The Hanged Man

Dear Trainer, are you feeling directionless? While Arbok might look comfortable hanging around, The Hanged Man encourages you to follow in their slither trail and take pause. Waiting might be hard when your adrenaline's pumping or your desire to take on your next gym is right there, but The Hanged Man cautions you that what awaits requires you and your Pokémon at their best—and, right now, that might not be the case. Take a breath for a moment of contemplation. Maybe consider a change in perspective—sometimes, refusing to see things from another angle (perhaps… upside down!) is enough to stop you in your tracks and make the path ahead seem impossible to navigate.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES - Six of Swords

After taking time to sit with your feelings and thoughts, (while acknowledging worries doesn’t feel great, sometimes you need to, dear Trainer!), the Six of Swords encourages you to move forward and leave what troubles you in the past. Like Dratini calmly drifting to new pastures, it's important to abandon worry, as carrying it does nothing but harm your progress. Do you remember the hard lessons learned after losing Pokémon battles? Not all lessons leave you feeling great but accepting them as opportunities for growth sees you moving on stronger and leaving what's not serving you behind.

GOALS - Knight of Cups

The Knight of Cups, much like Rapidash, is a person of action. They are in touch with their emotions, their intuition, and what to prioritise in life. They know who they are and what they’re capable of—and while they’re occasionally plagued by self-doubt (as all Trainers are), they can overcome it and advance. The Knight is a graceful and tactful mediator; they don’t let their emotions get the better, even if Rapidash's fiery mane may suggest otherwise. After quiet contemplation, overcoming anxiety, and deciding to move forward and accept opportunities, (both big and small, great and not so great), the Knight of Cups promises you will keep a level head in the face of adversity.
