Summary
Katara had been so sure of her plan to liberate the prison rig. How was she to know how efficiently the guards would respond to an uprising? Zuko had been positive that his best course of action was to travel separate from his Uncle. What else was he supposed to do when he came across a person from his past? Sometimes, through all the doubt, two people collide. Eventual Zutara.
This is both a Canon Related and Canon Divergent, reimagined ATLA story. Katara joins Zuko in his journey of self-discovery across the Earth Kingdom as personalities clash and beliefs are questioned. Familiar allies and enemies await them along the way.
Ripple effects of having Katara absent from the majority of 'Book 1: Water,' are seen once Katara and Zuko meet up with the Gaang later on in the story. 'Book 1: Water' occurs mainly in the flashbacks of this story as Chapter 1 picks up close to the start of 'Book 2: Earth.'
The plot of the story has now reached the allied invasion of the Fire Nation Capital City. The scene is set for Zuko's confrontation with his Father, Ozai.

This is my favourite Zutara! I love the story and their relationship is great. I was sucked in and read the entire thing in just a few days and was completely absorbed. I’m a little nervous that the author is done writing because it definitely ends on a cliffhanger arc right now. Ozai is gone and Zuko is in charge, he rescued Katara from the spirit world and brought her back to life but they lost their memories of each other and it’s stressing me out!! It can’t all have been for nothing! Anyways, I’m desperate for more so here’s to hoping. Right now Katara is noticing Aang is kind of the worst and Jin remains my hero. I need them to get their memories back. Oh also Azula came back to life and is riding a dragon and will challenge her brother.
the one with the half blue and half red necklace
Great story. If this was finished it would go on highly recommended -
