Chapter Text

Kendra shook the rain staff vigorously despite the ache in her muscles. Watching for anyone approaching, she let her thoughts drift as the rain soaked her hair and clothes, causing them to cling to her skin.

Gavin wasn’t a dragon brother as he had claimed. He had swelled into an enormous black dragon taller than Sidestep Cleft in an instant, his scales glossy like an oil spill.

Hearing footsteps echo along the length of the cleft, she returned her attention to her surroundings as a figure emerged from the shadows.

Taking a wary step back, Kendra watched cautiously as the limping form of Gavin slowly approached.

“You can stop shaking the stick now Kendra.”

“I’d rather not.” Lifting the staff like a club as he drew closer, Kendra tensed at his laugh. It was dark and condescending, as if he saw her as a disobedient puppy who was on his last nerve.

“I was trying to be nice, Kendra. What I meant is, stop shaking the rain stick before I take it from you with force.”

Gavin watched her in a mixture of amusement and irritation. Freezing, Kendra held still as his words reached her.

Looking satisfied, he limped toward her and tore the stick and the knapsack from her grasp. “That’s better, I knew you were reasonable.”

Kendra followed him into the knapsack, worried about Warren and what he might do to him. Reaching the bottom of the ladder, she found Gavin standing over her now unconscious cousin, as if thinking about what to do with him.

“It’s been a tough week for Warren. Maybe I should just put him out of his misery?”

“No!” Leaping forward, she put herself between the two men as Gavin reached for his sword. “Don’t!”

Gavin gave her an exasperated look. “And why not? You tried to keep me away from you, shaking that rain stick.”

Kendra’s mind raced for a reason, any reason to keep Warren from being killed. “Because you can use him! When he is healed, he is a resourceful and intelligent person who can do things for you.”

Gavin cocked an eyebrow at her, not impressed. “Well, I suppose that’s true, and having him as a hostage would make it easier to control you… alright, I’ll leave him alone for now.”

Sighing in relief, she slumped to her knees as Gavin put the rain stick down and grabbed a heavy cloak. Putting it on, he tossed another one to Kendra and waited for her to finish.

“Come on, we have some walking to do in this lovely storm you summoned.”

Following him up the ladder, Kendra was quickly grateful for the heavy cloak as she left the knapsack. As soon as she was out of the bag, Gavin scooped it up and slung it over his shoulder.

“Ladies first.” Gavin smirked as he motioned for Kendra to move ahead of him. Scowling, she reluctantly obeyed him and began walking away from the carnage Gavin had left in his wake.

Refusing to be docile like he probably wanted, she spoke over her shoulder. “So, how does it feel to be such a pain in the ass that they gave you an actual crown for it?”

Gavin stopped, eyes wide. Before she could say anything more, he burst out laughing. Not the dark, condescending chuckle like last time, these were full-blown belly laughs, Gavin leaning forward as he clutched his stomach, tears in his eyes.

“T-that was hilarious! Holy shit Kendra, I damn near pissed myself!”

Feeling even more irritated that her quip had only amused the jerk, she turned around and kept walking. Hearing him jog to catch up, she glanced at him as he drew closer.

“So, who are you? You’re clearly not Gavin Rose, considering your little display earlier.” Kendra already knew the answer of course, but she didn’t want to believe it.

Gavin shot her an amused grin. “Come on, Kendra. You’re not a dumbass, take a wild guess.”

“Navarog.”

He shot her a thumbs up, winking at her. “Correct as usual, Kendra. Yes, I am Navarog, but I do prefer Gavin in this form, despite how inconvenient it can be.”

Kendra nearly gagged when he winked at her, turning back around as they neared the end of the cleft. Walking out of the cleft, she stumbled as the full force of the wind hit her.

“Careful, Kendra. The wind is fairly strong, and without paying attention you might get swept up into the storm.”

Gavin followed her out of the cleft, seeming unaffected by the wind as he grabbed her wrist and tugged her along behind him.

Kendra felt like they had been walking for hours by the time they found a cave big enough to shelter in for the night. Stumbling, she shivered as she curled up in her cloak while Gavin started a small fire.

Standing, he picked Kendra up and brought her over to the fire, ignoring her protests completely.

“Don’t touch me!” Kendra hissed weakly at him, her eyelids drooping as she began to warm up.

Gavin chuckled at her anger, seeming amused with her. “Or what? You’re not in good enough condition to do anything about it.”

As if to emphasize his words, one hand slipped to just below her navel while the other wandered up to her chest, squeezing gently.

Kendra gasped, letting out an involuntary moan at his touch before returning to her senses and smacking his hands.

Tears burned in her eyes as his hands explored her body hungrily, not letting go no matter how she retaliated. Squirming, she tried to escape his grip only for him to press his lips to her neck as something else pressed into her ass from behind.

“Careful now, you’re gonna give a guy the wrong idea if you keep squirming against him like that, not that I mind.”

Kendra froze, tears flowing freely as he began to suck and kiss her neck, leaving hickeys on her pale skin.

Gavin growled possessively, his eyes filling with lust as he continued his exploration of her. Picking her up, he pinned her to the floor as he began to pant heavily.

“No..!”

He ignored her, ripping her shirt and pulling it off of her before tugging off his own. Pinning her wrists as she began to struggle, he held her captive with one hand while using his other to undress her, using his hips to keep her trapped beneath him.

“You know, this would be much easier and more pleasurable for both of us if you just stopped fighting. I know you wanted me to touch you like this, back before you learned of my true identity.”

Kendra shook her head violently, denying his words despite the truth in them. “No, no! I don’t want this, I never wanted this!”

Gavin growled angrily and grabbed a fistful of her hair, forcing her to look up at him. “Don’t bother lying Kendra, I know the truth. Now stop fighting before I knock you out and use your body anyway.”

Kendra sobbed, but stopped struggling. Satisfied, Gavin let go and stripped himself of his own clothes, his hands returning to her as soon as he was nude.

“Have you ever been with a man, Kendra? Ever been touched, or kissed? I bet the answer is no, so I’ll have the honor of being your first everything.”

He bore down on her, forcing her into a hungry and passionate kiss as his hands ghosted over her body.

He smirked into the kiss when Kendra whimpered as he slipped a finger inside of her, chuckling to himself while slowly pumping in and out of her.

Curling his finger, he added another and began to move faster, grinning viciously when he felt her clench around his fingers.

“Does that feel good, little mouse?~”

Kendra didn’t respond, trying hard not to melt at the pleasure coursing through her body. Gavin seemed to know this, because he added a third finger, curling and pumping inside her.

Deciding she was sufficiently prepped, he removed his fingers and picked her up as he lined up with her entrance.

Ignoring the look of fear in Kendra’s eyes, he pushed into her slowly. Bottoming out, he held still for a few seconds before beginning to move, groaning loudly.

“Holy shit Kendra, you’re so fucking tight.”

Kendra whimpered, her control slipping further as he began to thrust into her with more force, the sound of skin slapping skin filling the dark cave.

Gavin groaned, kissing her roughly as he sped up his thrusts. He could feel Kendra’s control slipping, and slapped her ass, feeling her control finally snap.

Reaching up, she wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss eagerly, moaning loudly into the kiss as she began to move her hips in sync with his.

“Fuck~”

Gavin groaned, speeding up suddenly as he thrusted into her at an inhuman pace, clearly using his dragon strength to keep her still, his grip on her thighs punishing and sure to leave dark bruises.

“Gavin… please…”

Gavin growled in effort at her mumbled pleas, his hips stuttering as his thrusts grew sloppy. “Fuck… you feel so good Kendra, I’m so close…”

Kendra cried out in pleasure as they both reached their climaxes, only for pure, unfiltered panic to fill her along with Gavin’s seed.

Jumping, she tried to pull away from him only to whine in despair as he caught her, his eyes flashing darkly with anger.

“What did I say about fighting me?” He growled at her, his eyes possessive and angry.

Kendra glared at him, feeling sick at both her own actions and the actions of the man still inside of her as her chest swelled with fear.

“You just finished inside me! Do you know anything about human reproduction?!”

Gavin’s eyes brightened in understanding at her words, his lips twisting into a cruel smile as he looked down at her. “Oh Kendra, I know exactly what my actions might result in. And believe it or not, I would actually be quite happy if my seed were to take root in you.”

Kendra blanched in horror, her mind working furiously. “You want an heir with both light and dark heritage…”

Gavin winked at her as he slowly pulled out, getting up and reaching for the knapsack. “Correct again Kendra. If I had an heir with both of our powers, they would be more powerful than even me, or the demon king.”

He climbed inside the knapsack for a minute or two, leaving her to think over his words before climbing back out with some blankets, a few pillows, and some fresh clothes for Kendra.

They both got dressed, Gavin tossing Kendra’s ripped clothes into the knapsack before making a comfortable place to sleep with the bedding he brought out.

Kendra felt hopeful when she didn’t see any rope or tape to bind her, thinking of making an escape as he slept. Her hope was crushed, however, when he put the knapsack under his pillow and pulled her into his arms as he covered them both with a thick blanket.

“Sleep, little mouse. We will make our exit in the morning.”

She curled up, tears falling silently as she heard him drift off to sleep, not falling asleep herself until long after crying herself dry.

Her last thought before falling asleep for the night was a dark one, circling around her predicament as she silently grieved for her lost friends and her lost virtue.

Chapter Text

Kendra woke slowly, feeling groggy and sore. Rolling over, she gasped as Gavin groaned.

“Kendra, it’s too early for this. Go back to sleep.” He muttered, his grip on her tightening. Kendra wriggled, struggling to escape his hold.

Gavin grunted, opening one eye to glare at her tiredly. “Kendra, quit it. Unless you want a repeat of last night, of course…”

Kendra whimpered at the gleam in his eyes, her struggles stopping immediately. “I need to pee…” She whispered, her face burning in humiliation at the idea of his disgust.

Gavin sighed, releasing her before getting up himself, stretching. Kendra stared at him as she climbed to her feet, the sight of his shirtless, muscular form causing something foreign to burn in her lower abdomen.

Gavin glanced at her, smirking as he noticed her staring. “I thought you had to relieve yourself, little mouse. Do you like what you see that much?”

Kendra scowled, storming off to find a bush while he laughed. When she returned, she found their camp had been packed up, Gavin standing there with the knapsack as he waited for her to return.

Kendra sighed, approaching him. “Can I get some boots from the bag?” Gavin nodded, handing her the bag.

She hurried down the ladder, rushing over to Warren. Pulling back his shirt sleeve, she gasped at the sight of his wound. Pulling on her boots, she rushed back to her cousin with the emergency first aid kit that was in the bag.

Putting her first aid training to use, she cleaned the wound. Using healing potions Tanu had left behind, she cleared the infection before wrapping it tightly. As she finished, Warren groaned and opened his eyes.

“Hey Warren, how do you feel?”

He looked up at her, blinking away sleep as he struggled to sit up. “My shoulder feels a lot better, but I had a pretty bad nightmare. Gavin was Navarog and everything went to shit.”

Kendra winced, unsure how to break it to him. “About that…”

Warren groaned, understanding what she meant. “Fucking hell, why can’t any of our trips be easy?”

She sighed, running her fingers through his hair in an attempt to comfort him. “I’m sorry Warren, but at least Seth escaped.”

He nodded, looking relieved. “That’s true, at least one of us escaped. And you have the unicorn horn, which might amplify your powers in some way.”

Kendra’s eyes widened in realization, and she darted for the pile of torn clothes by one of the barrels. Seeing her belt intact, she sighed in relief and pulled it on, strapping the unicorn horn and her long dagger to it, the items in leather sheaths.

“Thank god these are still here… I should go before Gavin loses his patience.” Warren nodded, stopping her with his next words as she pulled on a jacket.

“Did he hurt you?”

Silently nodding, she climbed back up the ladder before the tears could come. Climbing out of the knapsack, she grabbed it and slung it over her shoulder before Gavin could take it from her, not that she could do much to stop him anyway.

Gavin examined her appearance for a minute, eyes narrowing at the sight of the horn and the dagger hanging from her belt.

“I suppose you can have those for now, but they’ll have to stay in the bag at night. Now let’s go, we have a lot of walking to do.” He grabbed her hand firmly, ignoring her attempts to pull away as they began their trek through the forest.

Kendra gave up after a few minutes, following him as he guided her to the road. Once there, they followed the road until about lunchtime, by which point Kendra’s stomach was loudly complaining.

“Can we stop?” She panted, covered in a sheen of sweat. “I need a break, and we both need to eat something.”

Gain considered her words for a moment, eventually nodding. “I suppose you’re right, and you probably want to check on your precious cousin as well.”

Kendra didn’t bother protesting, setting down the knapsack before climbing inside. Gavin followed her down, and Warren glared at him while Kendra helped him drink some water.

After she got him to focus on her, she whispered to Warren while checking on his shoulder. “Don’t antagonize him, you’re in no shape to fight back. He’s ridiculously strong anyway.”

Gavin hummed from where he was grabbing food items to make lunch. “You’re right about that Kendra, I am ridiculously strong, and poor Warren isn’t in any shape to go pee without help.”

Warren scowled, and Kendra understood how he felt. After promising to bring down some food once lunch was ready, she followed Gavin back up the ladder.

Lunch was simple, just homemade deli sandwiches and chips, washed down with some sports drinks. Once everything was cleaned up, Kendra put everything back and brought Warren some food as well as a thick stick he could use as a cane when he needed to move around.

Warren tried to get Kendra to tell him how Gavin hurt her, referring to their conversation that morning. She avoided his gaze, silently adjusting the pillows behind him.

“Kendra.”

She looked at him, her eyes dark. “He raped me, Warren. Last night he raped me.”

Warren froze, rapidly turning pale. Grabbing her wrist, he pulled her closer as he stared at her with wide eyes. “He did what?”

Kendra watched in surprise as Warren climbed up the ladder effortlessly. Following him up, she climbed out to find Warren attempting to stab Gavin with his sword. Gavin seemed bored, parrying each blow with minimal effort.

“Kendra.” Gavin said disinterestedly. “Should I just kill him already? He seems more trouble than he’s worth.”

Kendra leapt into the fight, her dagger drawn. “You already took my virginity from me.” She hissed, catching the blade of his sword with the hilt of her dagger. “You’re not taking my family too.”

Gavin grunted, starting to struggle against both Kendra and Warren. Warren grabbed the knapsack, looking up at something in the air. Suddenly grabbing Kendra, he leapt into the air.

They were instantly airborne, the sound of a griffin screeching above them as they were carried into the air.

Before they made it even twenty yards, a massive roar shook the air. Kendra immediately froze, dragon terror locking her muscles in place. Suddenly she was tumbling to the ground, the knapsack falling as well.

The griffin screeched, diving for her. Shiny black claws wrapped around her torso, and the griffin veered back up and away, Warren dangling from its claws.

Kendra felt herself being placed gently on the ground, the dagger firmly clutched in her grip and the knapsack a few feet away on the dirt road. The claws vanish from around her waist, and the dragon terror suddenly fades away.

She scrambles to her feet, the dagger raised as she turns to face Gavin. He stood a few feet away, his eyes wide.

Gavin rushed at her, grabbing the dagger and tossing it behind him before crushing her in a bear hug. She gasped, groaning softly as he held her tightly.

Then she noticed something: he was shaking. His entire body was trembling violently, his hold tight but protective, cradling her in his arms.

“Gavin…?”

He pulled back slightly to look at her, his grip unrelenting. “Do you have any idea how badly it scared me to see you plummeting to your death like that?”

Kendra stared at him, unsure what to say. “Do you have any idea how badly it hurt me when you raped me?” She eventually responded, glaring at him.

He scowled, his grip on her shoulders tightening painfully. “I didn’t rape you, Kendra. You wanted it too, I just had to remind you.”

She flinched at his words, remembering how she had broken down eventually and reciprocated. “I told you no, and you overwhelmed me. I didn’t want it.”

He snarled, his eyes burning with anger and fear. Grabbing the knapsack, he slung it over his shoulder and dragged her by her wrist.

Suddenly expanding into his dragon form, he grabbed her with his claws and took off, angrily flapping his wings. Kendra screamed through clenched teeth, her body frozen in his crushing grip.

They were near the gate within minutes, Gavin landing roughly before transforming once more. “Come here, little mouse.” He purred, his eyes gleaming dangerously as he pulled Kendra into a safe house near Blackwell Keep.

“Tell me, little mouse. What exactly are you so angry about?” Gavin murmured, tugging her to the bed in the tiny cabin.

Kendra tugged against him, trying in vain to escape his grip. “Stop it Gavin, let me go.”

Gavin hummed, his eyes flashing angrily as he set down the knapsack before pulling her onto the bed with him, hovering over her with a predatory expression.

“I don’t think so, love. You’re mine, after all.”

Kendra whimpered as she was pinned to the mattress, trembling with fear. Before she could do or say anything, Gavin’s lips latched onto her neck, kissing softly.

As he explored her body with his hands, his lips worked on her neck, starting to suck and nip at the pale skin.

“Mmm… you taste delicious, darling~”

Kendra whimpered, struggling in his grip as he lovingly undressed her. Tears poured down Kendra’s face as Gavin continued his exploration of her.

“Stop it Gavin, stop touching me!” Kendra cried out, pushing him off her as he reached for the clasp of her bra.

Gavin growled, his eyes narrowing. “Don’t make me knock you out and do what I want anyway.”

Kendra glared at him fiercely, tugging her jacket back on. “You’ll have to, because I’m not going to just lie here and let you rape me again.”

Pulling out her dagger, she forced him back a little further. He glared at her venomously, his muscles rippling under his shirt. He suddenly lunged, ripping the knife from her grasp and slamming the hilt into her temple and knocking her unconscious.

~~~~~
When Kendra woke up the next morning, she was tightly wrapped in Gavin’s arms. The man himself was snoring softly, his expression peaceful as he slept.
Kendra took a mental inventory, calculating the injuries she could both see and feel. Her body was sore all over, but her pelvis was stinging badly. She could see hand-shaped bruises all over her body, and her neck and shoulders were covered in hickeys.
Her head was pounding, probably from being knocked unconscious earlier. Her breasts were sore as well, the soft flesh of her butt red and warm, as if he had spanked her repeatedly while having his way with her.
Gavin stirred, blinking sleepily. Seeing her awake, he grinned devilishly.
“Good morning, little mouse. How are you feeling?”
Kendra didn’t respond, pushing him away. Gavin didn’t like that, his eyes narrowing as he pulled her close once more. Smirking, he kissed her hungrily.
She let out a muffled protest, pushing against his bare chest with all her strength. Squirming in his grip, she bit down harshly on his lip.
He pulled back abruptly, letting out a string of curses as he let her go. Kendra took advantage of his distraction to slip into the knapsack.
She pulled on some clothes, tugging on boots as Gavin climbed down the ladder completely naked. She ignored him as best she could, at least until he pulled her to her feet and kissed her again.
This kiss seemed filled with a mixture of passion and anger, gripping her by her shoulders tightly as he forced her up against the wall.
She tried to bite him again, but he pulled back just in time. Looking down at her, his eyes were filled with frustration and love.
“Why won’t you love me, Kendra? You loved me before Sidestep Cleft, why does knowing I’m also Navarog change anything?”
Kendra stared at him, dumbstruck. “You’re a dragon so evil you were crowned an honorary demon prince. Of course knowing that changes how I feel.”
Gavin frowned, thinking for a moment. As he got dressed, his expression remained thoughtful. Buckling his sword onto his belt, he seemed to realize something.
“You think I don’t actually care about you…” He murmured. “You assume my feelings for you were faked just to get information.”
Kendra paused, already halfway up the ladder. “That’s one reason, I suppose.”
Gavin followed her up the ladder, watching her grab the knapsack. “Then I’ll just have to prove you wrong, Kendra.”
