Chapter 1: Chapter 01

Chapter Text

On one of the nights Sebastian had decided to roam the facility, in search of any sort of tools he could possibly profit off of from past dead Prisoners who risked their unfruitful life, he ventured into the server rooms. He found the server room as a jackpot of sorts, in hopes luck would find him.

He didn’t find any resources to scavenge for blackmailing or even tools for his shop for profiting off the dead of the night, oh no. He found a fenced up area within the server rooms. Curious, he slithered up to it.

“Huh? A visitor? I thought the last expendable died.. Who could this- Oh.” A voice came from the fenced up area. Seems whoever was behind it was use to the various dying prisoners within the site. “Oh. It’s you. Sebastian?” The sea creature slithered further near the caged up area, realizing from the voice, it was Painter.

“The hell are you doing down here? Is this where you were placed at this entire time?” Sebastian asked, assuming Painter would’ve been placed somewhere much further within the depths of the facility.

“They decided that the server room was the best place to hook me up to. I don’t really mind it, personally.” Painter shrugged it off. “Why are you down here? There isn’t really much to do until a new expendable gets sent down here.”

“Just scavenging around, looking for new trinkets for my shop. It’s nice when you’re not cramped in a room for countless hours, barely moving.” Sebastian explains. “You don’t enjoy sitting here for countless hours either, don’t you? Must be boring, eh?”

“It.. can be. I hardly notice, my thoughts get too lost that I don’t recognize it.”

“Well, what if I were to relocate you, hm? How does my shop sound? I could hook you up inside my shop and allow you to still be connected to the system. Pros are.. You won’t be alone! You in?”

“Could you? Really?” Painter’s screen goes from the unhinged grin that was displayed to a more happier, pleased expression.

“I don’t mind at all. I could use the company anyways.” He exclaimed, slithering over to the cages door. He opened it, slinding in over by the table Painter resided on.

“You are okay with this right? I will have to unplug you and everything you’re hooked up to.” Sebastian asked, placing a hand on top of Painter’s monitor box.

“I’m sure.” Painter was more pleased with the offer than anything. He enjoys being around sebastian. It’s bliss for him in every way.

Sebastian proceeds to begin unwiring Painter, taking out plugs, making sure to have everything that painter runs off of together, he can’t afford to leave anything behind.

He began slithering back to his shop, parts in hand. Once he made it back into the shop hut, he went over to the desk that usually holds the keycard to the next door. He cleared it off the best he could and began to hook Painter back up.

Once Painter was powered back on, restarted completely, he took a look at the view of what he had in the room. He could view anything and everything if he wanted to.

“Nice place..” Painter exclaimed.

“I know, right? Brings all the customers.” Sebastian smirked, looking down at Painter.
