Summary:

My take on Deltarune Chapter 3. Feat. My takes on the secret boss, Tenna Mike's and Spamton's relationship, Gaster, and a lot more.

Discontinued.
Might rewrite someday regardless of canon.

Notes:

I'm actually really scared to post this lol.

This work and some characters are greatly inspired by a lot of other people. Namely, the fic As Seen On Tv by peoplewhodo (please read the fic if you haven't, I love it so far)!!

Chapter 1: And the Shadows Start to Grow...

Summary:

Where we last left off in canon Chapter 2-

Aka: Kris gets a little *too* silly. And overzealous.

Chapter Text

 It's quiet...

Kris slowly hobbles over from the couch to the front door, grabbing onto the doorknob and carefully open it. They are well aware it's watching.

They slowly hobble to the old TV and turn it on. It almost feels as if it's smiling at them through the static.

Kris now stands in the center of the living room.

They carefully reach into their pocket for their knife. This is for them.

They delicately hold the blade. It's for the best. It has to be.

  They slowly lift it up...

Or all of this would be for nothing.

And suddenly plunge it into the ground.

The next few seconds could only be described as disorienting. The second the knife dug deep enough into the flooring, a bright geyser erupted. After a few moments, it gradually transitioned into something darker than the night sky.

Once it dies down enough, Kris slowly pulls the knife out of the ground and store it back into their pocket. It's a wonder nobody woke up from that...

After gathering their bearings, they slowly stand up using the TV stand as leverage. They tiredly limp back to the couch, basically crashing onto it. And as the darkness slowly fills the room, Kris grabs the soul from between the cushions they stored it in, and shoves it back through their chest.

Kris leans back against the couch, as if they had never left their spot, as everything fades to black...

Chapter 2: Roll Call!

Summary:

Kris and Susie "mysteriously" wake up in a new dark world. Toriel also seems to have ended up here. As well as a surprise guest...

Notes:

This came out later than I originally wanted it to. Sorry about that. But I can assure you, I am not dead. Hopefully this chapter (and probably all the ones to come) being longer makes up for both that and the pretty short first chapter lol

*EDIT*: Slightly fixed the plot hole that Susie didn't know Kris had a brother, even though they tell her in Chapter 2 if we backtrack to the custom rooms queen makes for us. That was my bad, I didn't realize Kris does that back when I first wrote this, and it was bothering me since I found out lol

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Someone's shaking their shoulder, and Kris can faintly hear someone saying something. Probably to them. So, naturally, they ignore it, wanting to go back to sleep. They are very tired from last night.

  ...

The shaking gets harder. They groan and turn their head away, clamping their hands over their ears. Just five more minutes mom, please.

  ...

  Wait. Last night-?

"KRRRIIIISSSSSS!!!! WAKE UP ALREADDYYYY!!!"

Their eyes snap open at the sudden roar, and they quickly jolt into a sitting position- before quickly cringing from a sore back. Ack- Just what were they sleeping on-??

"FINALLY! I thought you would never wake up."

Kris can hear Susie basically yell into their ear. They groggily rub the sleep from their eyes before jumping off a very... rugged, to say the very least, looking couch.

Oh, so that's what they were sleeping on...

Kris steps down next to Susie and blearily takes a look around the room...

"Good..." Kris quickly returns their attention to Susie.

  "Now that you're awake..."

"JUST WHERE THE HELL ARE WE!?" She suddenly shouts out. "Last I remember, we were in your house, and-"

"-wait..." She stops for a moment, as if having a revelation. "You... You don't think..."

The suspense is killing Kris, and the soul apparently. They can feel it being restless. Just say it already, they think, despite their own nervousness...

"You don't think.... THE KNIGHT BROKE INTO YOUR HOUSE!!?!?" She whisper-yells, as if telling some juicy secret, while grabbing them by the shoulders and shaking them. Hard.

Although now dizzy, they internally sigh. Why were they ever worried. It's Susie...

  But enough of that...

Kris takes a look around the room again, this time a lot more carefully so they can take in all the detail. The first thing they notice are the couches in almost the center of the room. The one on their left is a bright, pastel green. While the one on their right, the one they were asleep on, is a lot more dull and gray.

The next thing they noticed was the floor and walls. The floor is light pink, and has simple checkered pattern with a darker pink shade. The light seems to bounce off the walls, making some some parts of the floor shine a vibrant green color. Speaking of which...

The walls were green, like the couch... Or, were they blue? It was hard to tell, the two colors blended into each other. There were also stars that seemed to be the same dark, steel blue color as the upper part of the walls. Some seemed further back than others, and also moving. Almost like some sort of screen. There were also darker blue... cables? Hanging from the top of the walls.

"So... are we gonna go... exploring... or something?" Susie unsurely spoke up after they stared at their surroundings just a bit too long for her liking. "Seriously, I'm getting kinda bored over here."

Kris smiles at her- or as much as they can, and give a small nod. Their first object of interest- and apparently the soul's, too, was the rather familiar cacti on either side of this area. It looked liked it was ripped straight from their hallway. And probably is, with what they know about how Dark Worlds work.

* (It's a vibrant looking cactus. A lot more eye-catching now.)

* (Now that you think about it... It might just be a recolored asset.)

Ah... Kris thought, even the flavour text was aware. Or was it the soul that thought that? Who knew at this point. Kris certainly didn't. Frankly, they don't think they want to know.

The next thing they, or probably the soul now that they're truly thinking about it, was drawn to were the Tvs. It's really going to inspect every little thing it can, won't it? They thought. Not that Kris was surprised, considering it did this virtually everytime they entered a new room. Curious thing, isn't it?

After the soul inspected the platter in the center of the Tvs and the couches, they moved towards a weird counter area towards the back of the room, Susie following close behind. Now that they're closer, they can see that the cables they were seeing on the walls weren't cables at all. Or, at least they think. Closer up, they can now see that it's actually fairy lights. Solid decor, if it weren't for the overbearing star themes. Even Ralsei had some restraint when he was putting up glow-in-the-dark stars in their Castletown room.

The counter area on it's own was actually pretty basic looking, all things considered. Though the plain red color did make it stand out against the greens and blues. The awning over it, which was also red, was slightly more interesting. There was a yellow star on each section, alternating between a four-point star and a five-point star. Unfortunately, that didn't help the "overbearing star theme" this place had going on.

Hanging from the ceiling of the awning was a Maus, like it were some kind of prize. They couldn't tell if it was real or some sort of replica. Strange, and also kinda screwed up if it's real, nonetheless. There were bottles on a shelf in the back on one side. And on the other, there were swords... or knives? Something sharp, at least. The entire back was kinda dark, all things considered.

Kris turns to a door with a golden star plaque directly to the right of the weird counter area.

* (It's hard to read, but you think it says "Dressing Room".)

* (It seems to be locked.)

Welp. Didn't hurt to try. Kris turns away. At least they got some information. They'll probably be coming back to it at some point anyways.

There are two other doors. One on the left wall of the room, and the one on the right wall. They're about to check the door on the left, since it's closer, but find themself walking to the other side of the room instead. Can't do shit without the soul interfering, huh?

There's nothing on the door telling them what it could lead to. They attempt to inspect it anyways.

* (It's locked.)

"What is it with all these doors being locked!?" They hear Susie yell behind them. Kris shakes their head. They don't know Susie... They don't know...

They turn right on their heels and head over to the door on the opposite wall. This one better be unlocked.

Thankfully, the door was, indeed, unlocked. On the other side was a small star floating next to it. A save point. Kris recognized. Naturally, they reach out and-

* (The star-themed decorations fills you with the power of tacky design.)

"Thank god. I was starting to think all the door were gonna be locked." Susie commented after a few steps into the new, unfamiliar room. Her tone then darkened into something slightly more threatening. "And trust me. We were gonna have a real problem if that were the case."

Apparently they were giving her a look, since she suddenly got defensive. "Hey! Don't look at me like that. I-"

"Ooooohh....... Ma'am, I'm going to need you to calm doooowwn......." A melancholic voice sounded out, cutting Susie off from saying anything else.

"What the- Hey, did you hear that Kris!?" Susie quickly asks.

YES          ❤ NO

". . ." Susie gives Kris a skeptical, and frankly, unimpressed look. She continued on anyways. "Whatever. Let's go, Kris!"

Kris nods, and starts walking towards the source of the voice. Or, voices, they start to realize the closer the get. And the closer they get, the more... familiar they get, too...

"My apologies, but... May I ask how, exactly, I can calm down when I have no clue where I am, nor do I have any idea where my child is!" The familiar voice sounds stressed. The voice Kris recognizes as mom.

"I understand ma'am. It's just something we have to saaaayy......" The unfamiliar-familiar voice mumbled. "It's protocooooll......"

The moment it hits that the familiar voice belongs to mom, Kris immediately starts running. They have to see her. They need to know, and reassure, that she's alright.

They can hear Susie struggling to keep up behind them, so reluctantly, Kris slows down.

"Huff huff... Dammit... You seriously couldn't wait up for me?" Susie pants, hands on her knees as she catches her breath. Despite her breathlessness, she gives Kris a playful smile. "Rude-"

"W-what was that!? Is someone out there!?" Mom calls out, cutting Susie off.

"What-" Susie seems to suddenly recognize the voice, as she has a look of realization. "M... Ms. Toriel, is that you!?"

"S-Susie!? Y-yes... It is me." Toriel responds. "Please, tell me, is Kris with you? Are they okay?"

"Uh... Um... Yeah, yeah... They're with me..." Susie turns around, quickly grabbing Kris's shoulders and whisper-yelling into their ear again. "(HOLY SHIT KRIS. YOUR MOM IS HERE TOO!?!?)"

"Wait..." Susie looks at Kris quizzically. "You don't think your mom could have seen the Knight... Right?"

"Susie... Are you still there?" Toriel calls out after the moment of silence.

"Oh- um- Yeah! We- We're still here..." Susie get really panicky as she quickly whispers to Kris. "(Kris what the fuck do I do!?)"

Kris attempts to stifle a laugh, and fails, earning themself an incredulous look from Susie. "Hey, c'mon! It was a genuine question! Don't laugh at me!"

Unable to stop their continued laughing, Kris vaguely gestures forward. Susie gives a defeated sigh. "Fine. We're, um... We're coming over Miss Toriel!"

Susie gets behind Kris, as usual, and they quickly make their way down the rest of the hall.

The moment Kris and Susie entered the room where Toriel and the Mystery Person™ was, everyone gasped. Actually... Kris is pretty sure it sounded like those .sfx clips in the dramas mom used to watch. Odd.

"Kris... Susie... Is that you?" Mom asked. The goat-monster, all things considered, still looked pretty normal. She still had her glasses, which were now a magenta color. And her fur was still white, now with barely noticable purple undertones.

Her old clothes were now replaced by a deep purple robe reaching to the floor that fades into a light magenta, then a pale yellow. The sleeves, however, were the same pale yellow as the end of her robe. And on the front was a simple outline of a heart with the Delta Rune in the center. It was... familiar, oddly enough.

"Um... Yeah... It is... Uh... Us, I mean..." Susie nervously responded. The familiarity of mom was a stark contrast compared to how different them and Susie looked.

Next to mom, however, was a blue ghost holding a notepad. Someone Kris had to think about for a moment to remember. Susie, however, was quick to recognize them.

"Hey! Wait a minute, I know you!" Susie suddenly exclaims as they stepped closer to the ghost. "You're one of the police officers!"

Kris doesn't want to think about how or why Susie recognizes them.

"Ooohhh...... Heyy there......." The ghost greets with a solemn expression. "Don't mind meeee....... I'm just trying to do my joooobb......"

"Yes. Kris, Susie. This is Deputy Napstablook." Toriel, noticeably more relaxed now that Kris is obviously safe, introduces. "They've been helping me ever since I've gotten to this... Erm... Strange place..."

Kris notices Susie grimace. Right... Don't think the "dream" excuse will be enough for Mom or Deputy Napstablook...

"Wait... Why is... Um... Nabstabook? Yeah. Why are they here anyways? Last I remember it was just you, me, and Kris??" Susie questions, which earns her a slightly embarrassed look from mom.

"(Actually it's Napstablook)-" Unfortunately, the correction fell on deaf ears.

"Oh, w-well... You see... I..." Mom stutters. "I, uh, saw something outside when I went to grab the sugar. I thought it could have been one of the recently escaped criminals. My apologies. I did not want you or Kris to worry..."

"(Oooooh, nevermind theeeeenn)......." The melancholy ghost mutters, again on deaf ears.

Susie looks surprised about this information from Toriel. "W-wait. Is that why we couldn't finish the pie."

"I... I'm afraid so..." She looks away. "Again, I apologize."

"Oh, uh- that's... Er... That's fine..." Susie uncharacteristically stuttered. It honestly made Kris smile.

Everyone stood still for a moment. Kris doesn't blame them for being so quiet. They're unsure about where this conversation was headed too. Finally, Napstablook spoke up first. Surprising, honestly. They didn't seem like the type.

"Soooo....... Ummm...... Can I go home now......?" Napstablook asked. Right. Kris had almost forgotten. They still need to close the fountain. "I think I've done all I needed to doooo....."

Kris looks at Susie, and she nods. "Right. Uh... Follow us then. We can get you outta here."

"Oh... Do you two know this place?" Mom asks. Susie freezes.

"Uh-" Susie looks at them, then back to mom. "Well- uh..." She leans close to them. "(Kris help me out here. I can't do this without Ralsei!)"

They almost forgot about Ralsei for a minute there-

  "Susie-?"

"Uhhh- no. But- uh- we'll figure it out. Easy peasy! Just need to, uh, find the fountain!" She suddenly exclaims, cutting Toriel off.

"Really?" Mom raises an eyebrow, not truly believing the younger monster one bit. She's a teacher, for crying out loud!

"Yep, sure!" Susie grabs Kris, to their surprise, and pulls them to the front of the group. "C'mon Kris, lead the way!"

Before Kris could even protest, the group filed into a line and they felt themselves already walking. Great. They thought. Though Kris can't complain. They've been the designated leader since them and Susie started going on adventured in the Dark Worlds. It just felt weird leading their mom, though. As well as a police officer. Though, it did vaguely remind them of something...

They stopped to take a moment to look at everyone behind them. They noticed a nostalgic look on mom's face. Oh no.

She notices Kris looking at them, and gave a motherly smile. No, please.

"Oh, Kris. Apologies. It's just..." Mom, please. She continued, not hearing her child's mental pleading. "This just reminds me of when you were young..."

There it was. There was no stopping her now. Which embarrassing memory is it gonna be?

"Huh?" Susie asked intrigued, and Kris mentally screamed. NOOO! ALL THEIR CREDIBILITY! GONE! Susie will never stop teasing them now. It's over.

Unfortunately for them, mom noticed Susie's intrigue. She smiled as she began to recall the memory that will be Kris's downfall. "When Kris was younger, they always had such energy."

  "Really?" Susie asked.

"Yes, "really"." Mom chuckled. "I remember... Kris had excitedly dragged me outside to play a game. "Follow the leader", I believe."

They remember that... they think... Honestly, they still weren't sure how they managed that.

"Asriel had made them the leader."

"Asriel?" Susie looked more confused than anything. Of course she would. She's never met Azzy before.

  "Kris's brother." Mom responded.

"KRIS HAS A BROTHER?????" That surprised Susie exponentially. She hopped over to Kris. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU HAD A BROTHER, DUDE!!"

They had, actually. Back in Cyber World, when the soul backtracked to those "custom rooms" Queen made for them. To which she had immediately threatened Azzy... Did she really forget about that...?

"They... Aren't really the talking type..." Mom answered for them. In all honestly, if the soul didn't make them backtrack, they don't think they would've ever mentioned it...

"Right..." Susie responded, looking almost embarrassed about forgetting that. Or she realized they did tell her about Asriel... One of the two...

"Anyways, Asriel made them the leader. I still remember how happy they had looked. They excitedly paraded around the backyard, leading everyone around." She chuckled at the memory. " Ah... I can still recall the exact order everyone was in. Don't you remember it, Kris." Of course they remember. It was one of their favorite memories. It was-

"--Kris in the front, with Asriel right behind them. Then it was me. Then, I remember, Noelle was behind me and with..." Mom suddenly looked sad and everything suddenly felt far away. They could barely hear her say "With Dess in the far back..."

  ...

They don't want to think about it anymore.

"Wow, Kris. So you were always a leader, huh?" Susie turns back around to Kris. She suddenly stops. "Hey, dude... You, uh.... You alright?"

They blink. What? Kris reaches up to their face, and that's when they notice. When did they start crying?

❤ YES          NO

They quickly wipe the small tears away and give Susie a thumbs up, not feeling like talking. They probably would've said yes anyways, with or without the soul's input.

They look back at mom, noticing her expression. She gives them a sad smile, but thankfully doesn't say anything else. Good.

They turn around and begin walking but suddenly stop. The thing- no, darkner -jumps, realizing it's been noticed. Was it eavesdropping on them!?

"Oh! Excuse me there!" Mom suddenly calls out. Oh no. "Do you happen to know where we are? And, perhaps, how we can leave?"

The new darkner panics and quickly runs off.

"Oh, wait! No, don't run off, we need your help!" Mom quickly runs off after it.

"Wait, ma'am, I don't think that's- ooooooh...." Napstablook floats after her. Not them too. What's next, Susie's gonna-

"Hey, wait!" Susie calls out. She takes a few steps forward like she's gonna run after the two as well, but quickly stops, thank god. She turns around to face them. "Hey, Kris. I think we should probably go after them, huh?"

They just nod, the previous emotion they felt quickly fading away at both the new task, and the feeling of the soul already leading them after the two.

Notes:

OOOOIUUUUGGH DIALOGUE

I have a love/hate relationship with writing conversations and character dialogue. I want to make sure I capture the characters correctly but also- I'm just terrible at conversations in real life so maybe it transfers to how I write it.

But I'm still very new to writing so please please please let me know if you have a hard time with the formatting and any ways I can make it better!

Chapter 3: The Weather

Summary:

The shady darkner leads everyone somewhere, and we get to meet some Stars of the show ;p

Notes:

So this took way longer than I wanted it too. I originally wanted to get Ralsei showing up in here, but just couldn't seem to fit it in here. I also kinda lost motivation, and especially didn't want to get too attached to what I've wrote since chapters 3&4 of Deltarune are coming out soon. However this chapter was finished, and I was tired of just leaving this in drafts, so here...

I probably won't continue updating unfortunately. This was a much bigger undertaking than I originally thought (even though I already had everything lined out). However, if I ever find the motivation, I might rewrite this someday regardless of actual canon!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Kris and Susie quickly run down the hall. As they're running, Kris feels an odd, but familiar, feeling. Almost like their soul is glowing... and vulnerable... wait-

They don't have much time to react as an attack comes flying right towards them. It hits them square in the face, causing them to stumble backwards and almost fall over. They swear they can hear Susie laughing at them too, before what sounds like her getting hit as well. Karma.

After quickly recollecting themselves, Kris looks ahead to find several more attacks - music note shaped bullets, they note - coming straight towards them and Susie. Thankfully, they've done this enough times (ie, Lancer, those Rudinn Rangers, Sweet Cap'n and K_K, to name a few) for them to easily weave their way around these kinds of attacks.

Except, these attacks were much harder to dodge than normal. Probably since, instead of coming at them in a straight line, they were bobbing up and down the long hallway. (Why is a hallway this long anyway- Just what kind of building is this!?) So, they still get hit a few times.

It's nothing new, being a Hero of Light like them and Susie kind of requires them to get hurt. But god does it still hurt. There better be a save point after this, because they think they just lost almost half their health!

After making it past the Hallway-of-Doom, as they've decided to called it, Kris and Susie finds themselves in a room very similar to the one they woke up in. Kris notices that this room doesn't have the same multitude of doors though. Good.

Another thing they note, as well as Susie, is that mom and Napstablook are here. They'll need to make sure they're both okay later.

But what truly catches their attention, however, is a very anxious and panicked looking darkner currently being cornered by the two. Soon to be three as Susie quickly joins them as well.

Kris quietly observes how the shady darkner looks for a moment. Literally. It was like like the darkner itself was a shadow. So, it was very hard for them to make out any details. It did look like it had a hat, perhaps a fedora, maybe? Either way, it was clearly panicked. And it really isn't hard to see why, considering it's currently being bombarded by questions from all three monsters. Kris, themself, can barely make out who's talking.

"Please, can you tell us where we are?" A calm and soft voice asks.

"I just want to go hooome......." A melancholic sounding voice mumbles

"TELL ME! WHO DO YOU WORK FOR!!?!" An aggressive voice growls out.

It was honestly getting to be kind of nauseating for them as well, so Kris can't blame the darkner for acting so panicked.

But just as they stepped in to stop everyone-

"Well, my, my, my~ What do we have here, my dear?" A flamboyant and masculine voice calls out, cutting everyone else off.

  "What...?" Susie muttered.

"Why, it seems we have some guests, my love!" A second voice calls out, this time more feminine and... also pretty flamboyant, actually.

God, they haven't even seen the speakers yet, and they already remind Kris of Rouxls.

"H-HEY! SHOW YOURSELVES!" Susie yells, taking out her axe, which immediately garners a gasp from mom. Interestingly, this causes Susie to hesitate... huh.

"Oh, we've almost forgotten. Love, why don't we go ahead and introduce ourselves, hm~?" The second voice asks.

"Why, of course, dear! Wouldn't want to keep our guests waiting after all." As the first voice says that, smoke starts to seep into the room and the lights slowly start to dim. Dramatic much?

Kris notices the shadowy darkner getting more and more nervous. They discreetly moved closer, blocking the darkner from running off. Everyone else also started to look a bit more tense, themself included.

"Uh... What's happening?" Mom leans towards them, loudly whispering.

"Ladies and gentlemen," The second voice starts, causing mom to jump.

"Darkners and Lightners!" The first voice continues. "Please welcome...."

Two figures appear in the midst of the smoke. Susie noticably tightens her grip on her axe.

"Elnina!" The feminine voice speaks, a figure striking a pose with it.

"Lanino!" The more masculine voice states, the other figure striking a pose as well.

The feminine voice speaks again, smoke slowly clearing. "And we are..."

"The Weather Station!" They both shout out. The smoke fully clears, revealing the two figures.

The one on their left, Kris believes, is the owner of the masculine voice- or Lanino. He(?) was taller than the other one, Elnina by process of elimination. He wore a navy blue suit with yellow accents on the collar-thing, and red gloves. His shoulders were also, concerningly, on fire. Though they have seen weirder darkners...

His hair(?) was white and in a slicked-back like style, almost reminiscent of someone, but they aren't going to think about that. What caught Kris's attention the most, however, was his face. It was almost cartoon-ish in shape, being a yellow crescent moon. And perfectly perched on his nose was a pair of dark sunglasses.

Elnina perfectly matched the other. She wore a matching navy blue dress, and her skirt was almost umbrella-shaped with some yellow sections. Underneath were dark leggings and bright yellow rain boots. Her hair was white and fluffy, and pulled back into puffy pigtails. Her face curved like a teardrop, and she was blue too. She also wore dark sunglasses like Lanino.

And they both held a long stick with a cartoonish gloved hand in a pointing position, that definitely reminded them of a weatherman...

Suddenly... They both speak again, snapping Kris out of their thoughts.

"How was that my dear?" Lanino asks, turning towards the other.

"Well, in my professional opinion, it was absolutely perfect!" She exclaims. "We've totally nailed it, my love. It will be absolutely stunning once we get to the stage-"

"Wait..." She stops, seeming to have noticed something.

"Hey!" The weather girl unexpectedly shouts as she points her stick at... Kris? "You there!"

Everyone looks towards them, which definitely makes them a tad bit nervous. They hesitantly point at themself.

"Oh- No, not you. That one!" She slightly moves her stick to the left, seemingly trying to point behind them. They turn their head, now looking at the shady darkner. It seems a bit more nervous than before.

"What do you think you're doing? Here?" She harshly demands, making the poor darkner panic a bit. "Aren't you suppose to be helping Big T with his... eh... whatever he's doing..?"

"Honey, what has he been trying to do again?" She politely asks Lanino.

"If I remember correctly, I believe he's been trying to gain more traction on his channels and be "big" again." He helpfully responds. Though, the answer makes Kris cringe a bit. Now where have they heard that before?

"Great. Yeah. That." She focuses her attention on the darkner again, suddenly shouting out harshly again. "Aren't you suppose to being doing that!?"

  The darkner timidly nods.

"Yeah? Well? Get on with it! Shoo! Out of our area! Go back to your stupid boss!" She yells at it, making it quickly run away.

She sighs, and quickly regains her bubbly facade again. "Now. Where were we? Oh, yes-!"

"Oh my GOD!" Susie suddenly yells out, causing everyone in the vicinity to flinch. "JUST GET ON WITH IT AND CUT THE CRAP! What do you want from us!? But don't expect us to give it up so easily!"

"Oh- Oh dear..." He gasps, grabbing onto Elnina, who just straightens herself out and crosses her arms, responding brashly. "Why, how unnecessarily barbaric! I was just getting to that part! We were just putting on a show here!"

"A... A show?" Susie instantly drops her aggressive act, putting on an expression of confusion instead.

"Yes, a show!" Lanino cheerfully responds instead.

"Oh... I like shooows...." Kris can hear Napstablook say somewhere from behind them. They look over, and find that mom seems to be intrigued as well.

"Oh, that sounds wonderful. Why, if I may ask... What kind of show is it?" Mom innocently asks. Clearly, the weather people didn't seem to expect this, as they just stood there dumbfounded.

"U-um...." Lanino looks at Elnina. She looks back at him. They both seem nervous. "W-well you see... We, uh... We're..."

"RUNNING OVER-TIME!" He shouts, and they both flee.

"W-wha- HEY! GET BACK HERE!" Susie yells. She's about to run after them, but is quickly stopped by mom putting a paw on her shoulder.

"Susie! While I did find that... A bit annoying... And rude... (Especially after they just ran off like that...) I don't believe we have the time to chase after them..." Mom slightly lectures, leaving Susie a bit embarrassed.

"R-right... Er... S-sorry, Ms. Tor- I-I mean Toriel..."

"It is quite alright Susie." She smiles. "Now, I believe we should keep going. We've already lost our lead - or, leads, I suppose we should say - on getting out of here. So we can only go forwards. Please lead the way, my child..."

Kris nods, feeling a little lightheaded after all of that action in the span of a few minutes. Why couldn't "having a resistance to exhaustion" be a perk to being a vessel-puppet-thing?

But, they feel themselves leading the group onwards anyways. Hopefully they can see the fountain soon, so they can have a basic idea on where to go. Unfortunately, though, the whole place seems to be indoors so far.

They made this dark world, and they are already regretting it. How ironic...

Notes:

While I was writing Elnina's dialogue, I kept imagining her sounding like a mix between Hermione and that fusion between Aquamarine and Ruby (Idk their name, I never watched steven universe future). And now I'm curious about what you guys think the characters sound like lol
