Chapter 1: Fallen kingdoms and rising tides
Chapter Text
Old analogue footage of various gigantic animals is shown. A dinosaur looking lizard firing a laser from its mouth, an insectiod flying, an avian looking pterosaur covered in magma and a spiked quadruped along with many others.
"These entities are being we call titans. The are living weapons created by the very planet itself.their duty was to keep the balance of nature in order. Which lead to confrontations with humans." A slightly distorted voice narrated with a grainy noise of the footage rolling.
The footage change to industrial work factories, their chimneys exposing smoke into the air. "due to industrialization and other similar endeavour the titans aimed their wrath at us. And we in turn defended ourselves and retaliated in kind" the footage again changed, this time to the military fighting the titans.
Tanks, fighter jets, missiles and bombs were bombarded on them but the titans were left stating barely even a scratch. "We thought humanity was doomed to extinction but then something unexpected happened.
The footage change to outer space. A bizzare meteor was approaching the Earth. "An entity from space we now identify as Gorath, was approaching to impact with the earth"
The footage changed to the titans moving akin to what looked to be a migration. "The Titan war ended abruptly and they all moved what was hipotetically the impact point, which turned out to be true."
The footage change to the impact point. The devastation in the area severe. "Inspite of what is shown here, experts say that the damage could have been worse. It is theorised that the titans did true to their function as guardian of nature. All possible footage was lost on impact but it is believed that the titans used themselves as a form of barricade and shielded the impact zone this reducing the damage of the impact Gorath caused. They all vanished, no remains where found, no skin tissue or bone fragment or any proof that they existed."
The footage changed to people rebuilding. "So the world keeps turning and we heal from all the fighting. Eventually after a few decades the government started Covering the existence of the titans. The war was erased from history and the impact of Gorath was altered."
The footage change to various clips of children showcasing extraordinary abilities. A boy breathing fire, another one lifting items with their mind, a girl floating in the air. "Around this time the phenomena that is now called quirk started appearing in the younger generation and the existence of the titans was forgotten."
The footage changed to cave paintings depicting ancient interpretation of the titans. "The titans possessed quite extraordinary abilities and were believed to be radioactive, not the same way as nuclear power plants, it had a bizzare reaction on flora and fauna to go to a process that can only identified as a form excelarsted evolution. but It is believed by Me and a few others that the radiation that the titans contained within ended being disperse to the entire planet when the impact from Gorath that made them disappear caused the quirk phenomena to appear. Of course due to trying to erase the existence of the titans this work cannot be published to the general populace. I believe this course of action will not lead to any desirable outcome in the long run so I'm hiding this in hopes that if the need for this information is needed it will found by those who look deep enough between the obvious lies that try to cover the truth of these events."

Chapter Text
"so is this your first born too?"
"Yes actually!"
Two pregnant women were sharing a room at a hospital. Be it a coincidence or fate both were due to give birth soon and were sharing the same hospital room as the doctors and nurses were preparing and setting up for the delivery.
One was greentte with a soft looking expression. While the other was a fiery blonde. They both just met and quickly got to know each other.
The green haired woman told that she herself is a nurse too but at a different hospital and the blonde one works in the fashion industry as a designer alongside her husband.
Speaking of husbands, the green lady's entered the room, exhausted and barely breathing. Clearing running all the way to the room. "Inko!... Sorry... Sorry I took so long! My boss wouldn't let me leave early from the office. Glad I didn't miss anything." The man spoke as he caught his breath. Inko shook her head reassuringly. "It's okay hisashi. Mitsuki here has been keeping me company." She said pointing to the other woman in the room.
Mitsuki chuckled at the sight of Hisashi. "Well at the very least you made. Make sure you treat this lady well, you got yourself a keeper." She said making the couple blushed with how brazen her comment was.
Hisashi quickly changed the subject. "Soooo... What are you in for?" He asked the first thing that came to his mind. To which mitsuki answered by showing her large belly. "I'm a Prego ego too." To this inko happily added. "Not only that but the doctor said that we might end up giving birth at the same time. So we just got to talk and it turns out that we live right next to each other."
Hisashi looked astonished. "Wait, really?" Mitsuki showed a toothy grin. "I know right?! It's almost as if fate wants our babies to grow up together."
Just then the door again opened. This one to a brunette spiky haired man. "Mitsuki, sorry I'm late, was trapped in traffic." To which mitsuki just shrugged it off. "Hey Don't sweat it. I was kept entertained by our new friends here." She turned her gaze to inko and Hisashi. "This stud here is my husband." She said with a cheeky tone as if bragging. "Yes, my name is Masaru Bakugou pleased to meet you." He said more cordially than mitsuki.
Again the doors open. The doctors and nurses came in to pick inko and mitsuki for the delivery. "We'll be seeing ya, talk to you soon afterwards." Said mitsuki as they moved her bed. "Yes of course!" Answered inko as she too was moved.
A few hours passed and Masaru and Hisashi were looking at their newborns from window in the hospital nursery. The babies like the others were swaddled in a comfy blanket with their named written down in the beds.
"Midoriya Izuku"
"Bakugou Katsuki"
"Glad that everything went okay." Said Hisashi sheepishly now feeling like an idiot seeing how everything went okay as he paced around nervously the entire time.
"Yeah, the doctor said that they were okay and healthy." Said Masaru giving Hisashi a reassuring pat on the back. "Personally I just hope this means I don't have to take care of my wife's midnight craving."
Hisashi laughed at the other man's comment. "You can say that again, they always ask for such weird stuff too."
Unbeknownst to the humans, both quirked and quirkless alike, something was rumbling within the very soul of nature. A form of celebration you might say as the planet rejoices in the return of the king and queen.
A few weeks passed and both couples were together in the Bakugou residence hanging out together as they spoke in the living room as the babies were napping next to each other.
Masaru noticed how their boys were holding hands in their sleep. "They seem to be becoming fast friends."
"I know right?!" Commented inko as she took pictures on her phone. "I still can't believe the series of coincidences that lead us here by mere chance! The fact that we were neighbours and that we got pregnant at the same time and chose the same hospital and got put next to each other in the same room to boot."
"At this point it feels more like destiny at work with how many they were. As if something wanted Katsuki to meet little izu-chan here." Mitsuki added.
Hisashi couldn't help but roll his eyes in amusement. "Don't you girls think you are overthinking all of this?" He said walking over to the boys as gently rubbed the back of his fingers on Izuku's cheek. "The important thing here is we do the right thing as parents and give these boys a happy home to grow up in." He said confidently contrasting his usual shy and meek persona
Mitsuki chuckled loving Hisashi's attitude. "Damn straight, well said!" She said, no one even bothering to correct her or tell her to watch her language around the kids since at this point everyone knew that was like talking to a brick wall.
Inko looked to the side and noticed the time on the clock. "Oh my, it's almost dinner time." She exclaimed getting up. To which Masaru followed. "Yes you're right. Inko would you be kind to help me cook tonight?" He asked to which Inko nodded and followed to the kitchen as Hisashi and mitsuki went to the kids as they started crying.
Mitsuki sniffed and handed Izuku to Hisashi as she grabbed Katsuki. "Looks like little Izuzu and Kats have a dirty diaper." Said Hisashi as he nuzzled his little son. "Come on let's go get the diapers." Said Mitsuki a little frustrated as Katsuki was grumpy and pulling on his mom's hair.
Three years later...
Inko was crying non-stop. The casket holding her dearly departed husband was being lowered to the ground as Mitsuki held her as she too sobbed with Masaru holding the boys.
In this world where superheroes are a thing you would not expect something so Mundane as a drunk driver to do you in but it did and that's how Hisashi left this world.
A mundane death for a mundane man. So unremarkable that no one is really going to notice him gone. It would be almost as if Hisashi Midoriya never existed and that hurt Inko the most as she believed her loving husband deserved better than that.
After the funeral procession was over Mitsuki and Masaru insisted that Inko and Izuku stayed at their home for a few days.
Inko did not want to impose but the Bakugous were more than happy to have her and Izuku.
A few weeks passed and Inko was feeling good enough to return home and continue with her life as she needed to pull herself together for Izuku's sake. And she knew if she ever needed help Mitsuki and Masaru were present to land hand even if Hisashi was no longer around anymore she at least had alleviation that she wasn't in this alone and Izuku was growing up healthy and happy, that gave her peace of mind for the time being.
Notes:
I did not put in a description for Hisashi but he is supposed to look like an adult version of yamikumo, the prototype design for deku.

Chapter Text
"Oww! Stop it!" Said Izuku meekly as his wings were being pulled on painfully. "We warned you stupid. Stay away from bakugou! He doesn't need a weakling holding him back!" Said a classmate as two other boys were holding down the greenette as they pulled on his insectoid wings and antenni.
Katsuki and Izuku were now 7, and last year their quirks had manifested.
Katsuki named his: 'Radioactive Fire'. It made him turn his limbs lizard-like and grow a matching tail along with spiky dorsal plates on his back. It gave him above-average strength and the ability to fire a laser out of his mouth.
While Izuku's was: 'Lion Moth'. It made large moth wings grow on his back, matching moth antennae, and a frill of fluffy fur that moths have on his neck as if it were a kind of muffler scarf. His wings are strong enough to let him fly. He can spit out silk from his mouth like a web, and it's sticky.
At least so far that is what abilities have manifested between the two.
And Izuku wanted to know more about their quirks, and this ended up spreading to all quirks that he even started writting down any fact he heard about any quirk he gets his eye on in a notebook.
And this ended up making Izuku a target along with other things.
The other kids and even some of the staff viewed it as wrong for some one so weak in their eyes to be oh so close to someone as powerful as Katsuki.
They often try to separate the two, much to Izuku's worry and Katsuki ire during reccess or group peojects in class. Izuku tries to get alomg but is either ignored or made fun off while Katsuki cares not for their brown nosing and to mind their own buisness.
Which lead to situstions like this one here. "We told you already! Stay away from Bakugou!" Said the leader of the trio of bullies. "Yeah we can't have him cathing something and become a loser!" Said one of the two boys holding Izuku down as they contiue to pull hard on his wings and antenni. "He is strong and is going to be a cool hero so stay away!"
"No! Kacchan is my friend! I want to be next to him when he becomes a hero." Said Izuku fightning back tears from the pain and the fear of being treated so horribly by his classmates. "Oh do you think you are big and strong?! Lets teach this loser a lesson!" Said the leader with a dark look in his eyes as he picked a rock from the ground.
But before he could even do anything a scary growl was heard by everyone as they looked to the side to see a furious Katsuki ready to throw hands. "What are you doing?" He growled, a puff of steam coming out of his mouth.
The leader of the bullies instantly dropped the rock to the floor without even realising it from the fear as the other two boys aswell let go of Izuku and the green boy ran to Katsuki's side. Once he saw that the other boy was okay he turned his sight on the bullies. "Well?... ya ganna answer or what?!" He asked loudly with a strong sence of authority. The two goons push their leader to the front forcing him to answer. "We... w-we were just teaching stupid Deku a lesson..."
Deku was a nickname that Katsuki gave Izuku when they were starting to learn to read and write. Katsuki read Izuku's name written down as Deku, which happens to mean useless. Izuku saw no mind in it, as he also called his friend by a nickname, Kacchan. It was another way in which they showed their closeness.
But because Deku means useless, everyone thinks it's a mean and derogatory nickname meant to belittle and insult. It doesn't help that Katsuki doesn't even bother correcting anyone, as he sees it as just his and Izuku's business, and people should just leave it at that.
"Yeah! Th-th-that's right!" Added one of the goons. "He was being too loud and annoying... he needed to be taught a lesson." He spoke, his voice quivering in fear as he gave their justification.
Katsuki growled angrily, not believing a word, and looked at Izuku. "What actually happened, Deku? Tell me." His voice was more delicate but still clearly angry. Izuku shuffled closer to Katsuki as he told his side of the story. "I was just sitting on the benches, drawing, and they came and grabbed me by the hand, bringing me here." He explained, showing the red marks on his wrist from how hard they held it.
Katsuki was about to reach the boiling point when his gaze returned to the bullies.
"Stop meddling in my stuff you stupid annoying extras! Deku is mine!" Katsuki roared in anger. "Now get lost and leave us alone, all of you!"
Fearing what Katsuki would do if they did not comply they gave Izuku one last scornful look and ran away scared crying for their mommies.
The two were finally alone and Katsuki exhaled starting to relax, a small flame puffing out of his mouth and Izuku took his hand helping the blonde boy calm down.
"Thanks for saving me again Kacchan." Said the greenette with a glimmer in his eyes. To which Katsuki scuffed at. "Well yeah, no duh! Besides I'm going to be a hero someday so this makes for good practice until I get bigger and stronger." He saif looking away with a red flush on his face.
The two glowed like a lightbulb, and when the light dissipated, their forms changed to look like normal humans.
Katsuki's scaly limbs, tail, and dorsal plates were gone, replaced with normal human hands and feet.
Izuku's wings, fluff, and antennae were nowhere to be seen.
Another one of their tricks that they picked up while practicing to control their quirks.
It even affected their clothes. They wore normal shirts and pants, and when they changed to their quirk forms, their clothes changed too, along with their biology, as if their clothes were sown with holes for the wings and tail already made in advance.
Katsuki looked at Izuku, who was fidgeting. "I know you want to say something, so spill it," he said frankly and annoyed. "Kacchan, do you ever feel that they might be right about us and how we should-" the greenette started talking but was stopped in his tracks by Katsuki giving him a smack to the side of the head.
"No you dont! Do not let those stupid extras tell you what to think! We are awesome together and I don't want to change it ever! You're my Deku!" Screamed the blonde giving his friend his hand. "Now come on! We'll be late for now if we don't move." Which Izuku happily took tangling their fingers together as they left for class as reccess ended.
After the incident, it looked like the other student had learned their lesson and had stopped bullying Izuku for the last few days. Or at least that was what Katsuki thought as he kept his hip glued next to Izuku's after what happened at recess.
But he was wrong. It was after school, and Katsuki went to the toilet after agreeing to pick up Izuku and head home together. However, his friend was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, a dark thought crossed his mind, and the blonde quickly ran to where he was absolutely sure Izuku was, or more correctly, had been taken.
Those stupid extras were laying low and swoped in to hurt his Deku again while he wss occupied. The werent even smart wnough to go to another place in the school. When he got there he saw it and was boiling red at the sight.
Those same boys plus a few other were cutting izuku's beautiful wings with pencills, sciccors and sharp enough rocks poking holed into the wings.
Katsuki morphed into his quirk form and gave one hell of a right hook to the leader sending him to the floor with a chipped tooth and a swollen cheek. "STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY DEKU!" the blonde roared in fury as he picked uo Izuku from the ground and wipping his tears with his fingers.
All the other boys were too shocked to speak as they could not comprehend what they were seeing. The leader got up helding his cheek as he broke the silence. "Bakugou! Why are you doing this?! Why are you angry?! We are just fixing the problem!"
Katsuki gazed at the bullies, his eyes showing nothing but hate and scorn making them step back in fear. "The problem is you stupid loser extras think you can tell me what to do!"
One of the bullies spoke up still scared. "Why don't you get it?! You are strong Bakugou! Strong people should not be around weak losers like Midoriya or you will catch their weakness."
And yet another one dare to speak up. "Yeah! if you get too close with him you won't be an amazing hero!"
Katsuki has had enough of their stupid giberous. "SHUT UP ALL OF YOU!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs making them all jump scared and back away. "Ofcource I'm going to be an amazing hero! Someone who is going to be no. 1! I will be the King of the heroes! And Deku is my Queen!" He said loudly and proudly with no ounce of shame whatsoever, leaving all the boys shocked as they all started talking and murmuring to themselves.
"Ew! What did he say!"
"I can't believe what a loser you are!"
"Those two are freaks!"
"Lets get out of here!"
"Yeah before we catch their wierdoness!"
And so all of them quickly left leaving the two of them alone.
Katsuki turned his gaze to Izuku who was still crying. "Did it hurt a lot?" He asked holding the other boy, he nodded yes as he started to calmdowm. "Well then take as much as you need." Said the blond as he closed his eyes making his dorsal plates start expelling a glowing energy. Izuku followed suit as his wings also start to glow absorbing the light thst Katsuki was releasing. This process healed all the wound that had been aflicted to poor izuku.
After the greenette was fully healed they left the school without a care in the world holding hands as they walked home.
Izuku blushed as he turned to gaze at his friend. "I'm your queen?" He asked, to which Katsuki answered with enthusiasm and gusto. "Hell yeah, you are! We're gonna be the king and queen of all heroes, and no one is going to take us down! Not any stupid extra or any villain! We will be the strongest!" He accentuated his point by pumping his free arm up and down.
And with that said, the two walked down the road back home happily together.

Chapter Text
After that eventful day, Katsuki and Izuku's bond had only become stronger. The two boys were now 14, attending their last year of middle school.
"Now listen up, all of you! Next year, you will be first years in high school, which means the real world and adult life will be approaching even sooner. That means you all need to start thinking about what you will be doing with your lives when you eventually become adults!" the teacher sternly told the class as he started passing out paperwork for the students to fill out. "These are copies of current, up-to-date workplace interview forms and such that you will need to fill out correctly if you want to have a shot at getting hired in this competitive world we live in today!"
After handing out a paper to each student, he returned to his desk and turned around to face the students. "Even if your end goal is to be a hero, you will need this information because, contrary to what the media says, you won't simply get hired because you possess an impressive quirk."
An arrogant chuckle echoed in the room, and the source was obvious as everyone looked to Katsuki Bakugou's desk. He stepped up onto his chair in his plain human form. "Maybe that's how it works for plain old extras, but I'm going to skyrocket to the top!" he said in his usual competitive tone. His attitude had become more egotistical and arrogant over the years as he grew stronger and smarter.
"Oh, get over yourself already, Bakugou! We've heard this speech over a dozen times a week. Just do us a favor and stay silent for one day," a fellow student said. Another one threw a wad of paper at him, which angered the blond. "Oh, so you finally grew some balls, huh? You fucking weaklings!" he said, cracking his knuckles and getting ready to throw down.
Ever since that day at the playground all those years ago, where he proclaimed Izuku as his queen, all the other kids nearly stopped their brown-nosing to get in his good graces because he was strong. They now treated him just as badly as they treated Izuku, as they were both shunned. They even started calling Katsuki out on his less-than-humble personality, but frankly, he couldn't give two shits about what some loser nobodies thought of him.
The only person's opinion he cared about was—
Katsuki was caught off guard, letting a puff of fire escape his mouth as a very familiar hand smacked him on the back of the head. "Kacchan! Enough already, please control yourself," said Izuku Midoriya, his voice gentle and soft but clearly firm. Katsuki pouted and scoffed but complied as he got down from his desk, sitting properly again.
The young green-haired boy was the only one who could cool down his friend when he tended to get like this. In Katsuki's eyes, it was simply the king listening to his queen's pleas.
"Ha! You talk all big, but you let a weakling like this idiot bark orders at you, and you obey them just like that!" said the same student who spoke up earlier, giving Katsuki the stink eye. He did not take that lying down as he got up and stomped toward him.
But before anything could start, a loud screeching whistle echoed in the classroom, making everyone cover their ears in pain.
It was the teacher's quirk, which he used to put an end to this argument. "Alright, that is enough! Just because summer vacation is approaching doesn't mean you can act like this in my classroom. You two, detention after school," the teacher said harshly without having to yell.
Both boys knew better than to push their luck and just shut their mouths, sitting down at their desks for the rest of class or risk digging themselves into even bigger trouble.
"Do you want me to wait for you?" asked Izuku as he walked Katsuki to detention.
"Nah, go ahead, and I'll find you when I get out. And here," said the blond as he took out a notebook and handed it to Izuku, who gleefully took it.
The green-haired boy still kept up his love of studying quirks and would write down every detail he could get his hands on. He would ramble on and on under his breath, which was seen as creepy by most people and made him an easy target for bullying, as he had been as a kid. Back then, he had his notebooks stolen and/or ruined.
So to stop this, Katsuki carried these notebooks for Izuku for protection in his backpack.
"Just make sure you don't get caught adding another victim to your stalker notes," Katsuki said, half-joking, to which Izuku retorted by sticking his tongue out and leaving Katsuki alone in detention.
As Izuku was almost out of the school gate, he heard two voices approaching. "Izuku-sama!" He turned around to see his friends, Moll and Lora, a pair of twin sisters whom Izuku had saved during his freshman year from a gang of bullies.
Ever since then, they had been Izuku's number one supporters.
They were identical twins with long dark brown hair tied in side ponytails: Moll to the left with a red ribbon, and Lora to the right with a blue ribbon. "We're so happy we caught up to you!" said Lora, the more excitable of the twins. "Yes, I agree! You’re not busy right now, are you? It has been a while since we spent time together, and we’ll be leaving for high school soon," said Moll, the more mature one of the twins.
"Sure, no problem! I wanted to have some fun with you guys too while we still have the chance," said Izuku, just as happy as the three of them left.
A bunch of heroes were facing off against a rampaging villain, with people nearby recording on their phones.
Moll watched with an analytical look in her eyes while Lora hid behind her, and Izuku was scribbling in his notebook. The green-haired boy started rambling when he saw the two latest upstarts who had recently made their debut: Kamui Woods and Mount Lady. He began explaining how Kamui specialized in binding down and ensnaring enemies with his wood tendrils, while Mount Lady could grow into a giant.
"Wow, Izuku-sama! You're like a walking hero encyclopedia!" said Lora, which made Izuku blush red.
"It's nothing that special; I just... I really think quirks are fascinating," he said, scratching the back of his neck. "I just wish I could have gotten the autograph of one of them..." he added, slightly disappointed, as he flipped to the final page of his notebook, showing a handful of autographs from heroes he managed to get close to after they saved the day, just like other fans tended to do.
As the three walked, they didn't notice a bizarre slime emerging from the manhole cover behind them, morphing into a humanoid shape that was about to pounce.
Lora noticed at the last second and pushed Izuku away, only to be engulfed by the slime herself. "Lora!" yelled Izuku and Moll as Lora's upper body disappeared into the goo. "Don't be so dramatic! I just need to borrow a body for a moment," said a voice as a sinister face formed on the slime. "I was doing a bank robbery, but the stupid heroes showed up faster than expected, and now I need to lay low for a minute. Nothing personal," the slime villain said nonchalantly, a wicked smirk on his face.
"Forget it! Give me back my sister!" said Moll furiously.
"You let her go now!" added Izuku, to which the villain just laughed in their faces. "And how much exactly do you kids plan to do that?"
"They won't... But I will!" boomed a voice from above as the source slammed down on the ground, creating a cloud of dust.
When it cleared, it was none other than the No. 1 hero and symbol of peace, All Might himself. He was cradling an unconscious Lora in one arm while holding the slime villain in a tight grip with the other.
Izuku blacked out from the shock, but when he regained his bearings a few minutes later, the No. 1 hero had handed Moll her sister back after placing the slime villain inside a tiny test tube. He then asked Moll the usual questions that heroes posed to civilian witnesses for reports.
Izuku tried to talk to All Might, but when he grabbed the hero's arm to get his attention, All Might didn’t notice and made a huge jump, leaving Izuku tangled in his arm, screaming bloody murder in terror as he transformed into his quirk form. He finally calmed down now that he was gently flying but panicked again when he saw All Might crash onto an empty rooftop.
He dashed down and quickly began to apologize profusely. "All Might, I'm really sorry for what I did! It was an accident, I swear, I just wa—" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw the figure before him.
The tall, muscular form of All Might was replaced by a skeleton of a man with deep sunken eyes, wearing overly sized clothes. "All Might?... That is you... right?" he asked nervously. His answer was the skinny man coughing up blood.
"OH MY GOSH!!!" The green-haired boy panicked and flew right up to the man, but All Might lifted his right hand, telling him to stop.
"No need to worry for me, dear lad," All Might said.
"But doesn't that hurt?" the moth boy asked as he flew over All Might and flapped his wings, causing shiny emerald glitter to fall off them. The pro hero's body started glowing green as he felt the pain alleviating slightly.
"I'm thankful for your sympathy, but it is more complicated than that," the hero said, lifting his shirt to reveal a gaping scar on his chest, which made Izuku gasp in horror. "A powerful villain injured me, and I have been like this since then," he explained.
"Does it hurt?" asked Izuku as he spit out a string of moth silk from his mouth, forming a ball that had a prism-like sheen in the sunlight. He applied it to the wound, and it glowed green. The pain All Might was experiencing subsided a bit.
"Please don't waste your efforts on me," All Might argued, though he was still thankful.
"What do you call these abilities of yours?"
"Pulsaphonic Shower," Izuku explained timidly. "I noticed one day that the scales that fall off my wings have regenerative qualities and can heal wounds when I drop them on people. But it is more effective on plant life than anything. And my excel string silk thread can be used to tie up and immobilize enemies but I also saw how if I cover a wound in it it heals it."
"You seem to have good control over your quirk, lad. You could make good use of it in the medical field," the pro hero commented, which made Izuku smile.
"Thanks! But what I really want to be is a hero. It's a dream my best friend and I share. We want to be the best of the best." He started explaining. "He says we will be the king and queen of the heroes... I'm the queen," he finished, feeling a bit awkward.
Wanting to change the subject quickly, Izuku asked, "So how are you able to change your appearance?!" To which All Might simply answered, "I just suck in my gut like one does at the pool." He said it flatly.
The two had no idea what else to say, leaving an awkward silence. "Well... I think I’ve bothered you enough. See ya! Sorry I couldn’t heal you more!" said Izuku as he flew away.
"Where the hell is that dork?!" asked Katsuki rhetorically as he continued to dial Izuku's number on his phone again. Ever since he got out of detention, the green moth had yet to answer. Did he leave his phone on vibrate again?
"Body... need a body..." The blonde turned around to see a pool of moving slime just as it jumped at him. Katsuki quickly morphed into his quirk form, giving the slime a tail swipe, but he was easily and rapidly engulfed.
As Izuku flew around, he finally caught sight of Moll and Lora. The twins were ticked at him as he realized that he had left his phone on vibrate again and had lots of missed calls and unread texts. "So sorry, girls, I mean it," he said, bowing his head. "Izuku-sama, why did you not call us on the phone if you were looking for us?" Moll asked matter-of-factly. To which Izuku just nervously chuckled, as the idea never came to his head.
The three friends were startled to hear a commotion coming from nearby and were horrified to see the cause. The slime villain expanded in size as the police and the heroes from earlier today were trying and failing to control the situation, while onlookers gasped in shock.
But worst of all, Katsuki was tangled inside the slime villain, clawing at it and slamming his tail, but he could not get free as the slimy tendrils were too tight. He couldn't even fire a heat ray as the slime was bundled as a muzzle around his face.
Izuku stood frozen in place as everything seemed to slow down. He saw how the cops tried to keep civilians away from the danger, the heroes arguing as they could not come up with a plan because of the hostage situation, and the fighting caused a nearby car to explode, with the fire spreading wildly.
His heart beat in his ears as everything turned black and white in his eyes except for Katsuki, who his eyes focused on. In that instant, something primal erupted inside the green-haired boy as time again started to flow. "That's my king!" he screamed as his wings stretched and he launched himself at full speed, ramming right into the slime villain. Using all his strength, he managed to remove the tendrils around Katsuki's face. "Deku, what the fucking hell?! Don't be a fucking idiot, get away!!" cried out the blonde as he struggled to free himself.
"NO! You are always protecting me all the time since we were kids! Now it's finally my turn to return the favor!" yelled Izuku as he clawed his way in deeper to reach Katsuki. "We are supposed to be heroes together! How can we do that when you keep shielding me?" Izuku's outburst left Katsuki shocked as he finally reached him inside the slime villain.
They both looked at each other tenderly, with sparkles in their eyes as their fingers intertwined.
"My queen."
"My king."
All of a sudden, energy started engulfing the two of them as they started radiating heat and glowed in a fiery hue, releasing a powerful shockwave that knocked down the electronics in the area and blasted the slime villain off of them.
The villain fell hard and disoriented. "What?! How?! What in the world happened?!" He continued asking until he saw Katsuki and Izuku hugging, completely ignoring him. "You again?! I'm going to rip those ugly wings off you!!!" He launched his tendrils at them, but the two were only semi-aware of him, as something deeper in their minds was connecting them.
They both gazed at the oncoming attack, and Izuku slightly lifted off the ground as he tangled his arms around Katsuki's neck. The burning energy that engulfed them before was back again, making strange markings appear and glow on both of them, appearing as if they were the mural paintings of fire and rock cracks mixed together, trailing their entire bodies, even over their clothes, as the fiery thermal energy formed a spherical barrier protecting them and hurting the slime villain.
The slime villain was flabbergasted as he looked at them. Inside the barrier, there were only black silhouettes of them covered from head to toe in those bizarre, feral-looking fiery marks and a monstrous, inhuman glare in their eyes as they unleashed more energy, sending waves of orange electricity and plasma everywhere, but mostly to their front where the slime villain was, as they exploded their barrier in a burning energy pulse.
Izuku flew higher, releasing a pulsaphonic shower, making it rain green sparkles all over the street, healing any wounded present and making any nearby plants grow healthy.
Katsuki's dorsal plates started absorbing them as they began glowing with energy as he charged a shot.
"Bow down to the king and queen, bitch!" Katsuki roared as he fired a concentrated heat ray at the slime, knocking him out in one hit.
Katsuki exhaled the exhaust of energy, and Izuku delicately landed on the ground as the two hugged each other, happy that the other was safe, turning back to their normal human forms.
The civilians (Moll and Lora being among them) started clapping and cheering for them in their victory as the heroes approached them, with the cops apprehending the slime villain in a container.
"Yeah, yeah, don't worry, we're fin—" Katsuki was interrupted mid-sentence when he heard a click and saw that he and Izuku were just handcuffed.
"What?..." he asked in a monotone.
They were moved to a police cruiser.
"What?!" he asked again, now the shock setting in.
The police cruiser left for the station.
"WHAAAAAT!?!?!?" he bellowed at the top of his lungs as the car left the scene.
On top of a roof, All Might saw everything that had transpired just now. He was going to jump in and save the day, but then he saw how the green-haired boy from earlier saved their friend and how they defeated the slime villain. "The lad was right. Those two are destined to be great heroes," he said as he looked on.

Chapter Text
Katsuki was seething in the back of the police cruiser, his anger spilling over as he argued and cursed about the ridiculousness of their situation. "This is total bullshit! We just saved everyone, and now we’re getting treated like criminals!" he shouted, his frustration palpable.
Izuku, sitting next to him, tried to calm him down despite feeling nervous himself. "Kacchan, I know it feels unfair, but we have to keep our cool. The rules are there for a reason," he said, attempting to offer some logic to the chaos.
The officer driving the cruiser glanced back at them, his expression serious but understanding. "Look, I get it. What you did was brave, and I don’t personally think it was wrong. But as a police officer, it’s my job to enforce the law. Using your quirks in public, even in self-defense, is illegal. We have to prioritize the safety of everyone, you know?"
Katsuki huffed in response, still glaring out the window, while Izuku nodded, taking in the officer's words.
When they arrived at the station, they were led into a small room to fill out paperwork while their parents were contacted. The atmosphere was tense, with Katsuki still fuming and Izuku nervously tapping his foot.
After a short wait, their parents arrived, concern evident on their faces. The officer explained the situation and the minor consequences they faced. The punishment was essentially a slap on the wrist; all they needed to do was have their parents sign some forms and pay a small fine, and they would be free to go.
Katsuki's mother signed the paperwork with a sigh, and Katsuki muttered under his breath, "This is so stupid..."
Izuku glanced over, trying to lighten the mood. "At least we’re okay, right? We helped everyone. That’s what’s important."
With a slight smirk despite his irritation, Katsuki replied, "Yeah, yeah... but next time, things will be different because we will be real heroes."
Izuku chuckled, feeling a sense of relief that their friendship remained strong even through the chaos that had just unfolded earlier that day.
The next day was Saturday, thankfully, which meant everyone could decompress and relax a little after what had happened yesterday.
Katsuki was banging on the Midoriya household's door. "Hurry it up in there! Deku, wake up already! It's time to train!" he yelled, his voice echoing down the street.
"Coming!" answered Izuku nervously as he rushed out the door, holding two carrier bags—one yellow and the other blue. Both of them were wearing runner tracksuits with matching jackets in their human forms.
"Sorry! It's just that my alarm didn't go off, and I rushed—" the greenette started rambling as usual, but Katsuki quickly put a stop to it before it could begin.
"Yeah, I know! Let's just go already! We're burning daylight we could be using to train more!" Katsuki said in his usual gruff tone as he took the blue bag.
The two waved goodbye to Inko as she handed them two bento lunch boxes before they left.
"So, what should we try next?" asked Izuku excitedly, starting to write down ideas for possible exercises to do in today’s training.
Before Katsuki could answer, large arms grabbed them both and jumped far away to an empty rooftop.
"Why do I get a sense of déjà vu?" asked the moth boy to no one in particular as he looked up to see that it was indeed All Might in all his glory.
Izuku glanced to the side and saw that Katsuki was frozen in shock, just like he had been yesterday. Gently, he shook him by the shoulder, knocking him back to reality. Katsuki then spoke in his typical loud and brash voice.
"What the hell was that about? You think just because you’re the No. 1 hero, you can pull stunts like that?" the blonde yelled, his anger and disdain clear.
As a kid, Katsuki had been the only one who didn’t like All Might; he viewed the hero as an obstacle to surpass, and it annoyed him to this day that Izuku was such a fanboy for the man.
"Of course not. I do apologize for my rude behavior, but I needed to speak to you both after what I witnessed yesterday."
This caught Katsuki by surprise. "Wait, you mean you were there when we defeated that slimeball loser?" His expression was a mix of emotions, making it hard to read.
"Yes!" said the pro hero as he continued. "Young Midoriya here ran into me as I captured that villain. We had quite the conversation. He told me about your shared dream of being mighty heroes together."
Katsuki was starting to get annoyed and shot the hero a stink eye. "What are you trying to say?"
Seeing it was necessary to get to the point swiftly, All Might replied, "I want to train you two myself to help you reach your full potential."
This left the two teens in shock. Izuku felt he was close to passing out, but Katsuki, ever brazen, spoke again.
"And what exactly do you get out of this? You know you’re practically giving the competition a chance to usurp you," the blonde said, trying to provoke the pro hero, to which All Might chuckled.
"Being a hero is not about competition; it's about keeping peace and balance for those too weak to do it themselves. Or at least, that has always been my view. One I have given my all to maintain."
The answer left Katsuki shocked again, but he managed to hide his reaction.
"But if I'm going to train you both together, it's only fair that you, young Bakugou, also know my secret that your friend saw." All Might puffed away in a cloud of smoke, revealing a disheveled man who was just skin and bones.
"WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?!" Katsuki yelled as his legs gave out, and he fell to the floor.
Izuku gave All Might a look, and he nodded, allowing him to explain.
"All Might was in a bad fight and suffered a severe injury, resulting in his current state. I tried to heal it—"
"Of course you tried to heal him," Katsuki interrupted.
"But I only managed to alleviate the pain a bit. Speaking of which, would you like me to give it another touch-up?" asked Izuku as he changed into his quirk form, fluttering over to All Might.
"If it will give you peace of mind; go ahead," All Might said graciously as the greenette used his healing abilities again, alleviating some of the pain for the moment.
Katsuki finally regained his footing and spoke up again. "So, what does this mean? Are we like your successors or something?" He scoffed at the idea of being trained by someone he viewed as his ultimate rival, but he wasn't completely against it if Izuku was included.
"So, this means you don't plan on trying to separate us?" Katsuki asked, gauging whether he would have to punch the hero standing in front of him.
"Of course not!" All Might said enthusiastically, transforming back into his muscular form, almost as if to emphasize his point.
Izuku quickly interjected before Katsuki could put his foot in his mouth. "You see, growing up, other kids tried to separate us because they viewed my quirk as weak and useless."
"An unfortunate truth that happens too often," All Might replied. "But I want both of you to rest assured that will not happen with my training. In fact, I plan to help you both synchronize better."
"Synchronize?" the two boys asked in unison, clearly confused.
"Surely you both remember, right? How when you confronted your opponent yesterday, the energies inside you resonated, creating those powerful shockwaves?"
"We kinda do, and don't, at the same time," admitted Izuku, scratching his head in confusion. "It felt like a sixth sense took over, guiding us to follow our instincts during that fight."
"It feels like this primordial force inside took over," Katsuki added, morphing into his quirk form and examining his reptilian arms.
"That is what training is for. I promise to help you both further comprehend your abilities and so much more," All Might assured them, placing a hand on each boy's shoulder.
"I am Toshinori Yagi, and I swear to make you both great heroes. So, what will be your answer?"
They exchanged glances before turning back to All Might. "We're in!" Katsuki declared confidently, answering for both of them.
The blonde started to get excited. "So, where does our training begin? Is it some secret hideout or a dojo or—"
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!" howled Katsuki as they arrived at their destination: a beach littered with scrap and trash.
"The first step in your training is to increase your stamina and physical strength. What better way to do that than by helping clean this place up for the better?" All Might explained with his trademark smile and a tacky thumbs-up.
Katsuki wanted to explode in frustration and drag Izuku away by his antenna, but he saw how excited his friend was to start, so he kept his mouth shut.
It took them a few months, but they somehow managed to clear the beach, moving all the large scrap metal and trash as they worked together.
In addition to their cleanup efforts, they did exercises on their own before meeting with All Might, along with swimming—something Katsuki took to quite expertly, almost instinctively. Izuku focused on training his wings to stay airborne more easily and to gain better control in case he fell or encountered a similar situation.
By the end of it, the beach was completely clear and pristine. The boys had gained some muscle during their training, which was especially noticeable in Katsuki due to all the swimming he had been doing. Izuku, while less muscular next to Katsuki, had developed a strong athletic build despite his slender form.
All Might observed them from a distance as they sat on the sand, letting the waves gently touch their toes while they rested. He noticed how their fingers intertwined in the sand. "Those two are made for each other," he muttered under his breath, feeling proud of how far they had come and knowing they would achieve even greater things together.
It was graduation day, marking the beginning of their final summer as middle schoolers.
Inko stood in the crowd, tears streaming down her face as she watched both of her boys walk up to the stage to receive their diplomas. Her heart swelled with pride, each tear a testament to her joy and the bittersweet nature of seeing them grow up. Mitsuki was snapping a million pictures, capturing every moment with enthusiasm. Masaru was waiting at the bottom of the stage, ready to give both boys a bear hug that would rival any hero's embrace.
As they received their diplomas, All Might stood nearby, beaming with pride. He had organized a celebratory lunch for them at their favorite food truck, a special treat that had become a ritual since they started training at the beach due to it being nearby. The smell of delicious street food filled the air, mingling with the excitement of the day.
After the ceremony, the boys joined Yagi at the food truck, laughter and chatter surrounding them. Katsuki, with his trademark confidence, declared, "Next stop, high school! No one’s going to stand in our way!" His fiery spirit ignited a cheer among their friends.
Izuku, still feeling the weight of the moment, smiled widely. "We’ve worked so hard to get here. I can’t wait to see what’s next!" He glanced at Katsuki, feeling a surge of determination. They both knew this was just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
As they feasted on their favorite foods, All Might raised his drink in a toast. "To the future heroes! May your journey be filled with challenges, growth, and the courage to overcome anything that stands in your way!"
The cheers echoed around them, and as they clinked their cups together, Katsuki and Izuku exchanged knowing smiles. They were more than ready to take on high school and whatever awaited them beyond. With their families by their side and a newfound sense of purpose, they embraced the future, eager to continue their journey together as heroes-in-training.
The pro hero and his apprentices reunited at the beach once again.
"You two have gone far beyond my expectations, and I'm proud to see how much you have grown, both as a unit and as individuals," All Might began, pride evident in his voice. "Now, it is time for your final test."
A fierce light glinted in his eyes as he took out a small red flag and attached it to his belt. "This is your final test! Come at me with everything you have! If you manage to take the flag, you win. There’s no time limit; we will keep going until you take the flag or you give up! Now! Come at me!"
"Let's go!" yelled Katsuki as he and Izuku morphed into their quirk forms, dashing at Yagi from both sides. However, the experienced hero easily stepped back, causing the two boys to crash into each other.
"Hey, no fair! You know all our moves!" Katsuki argued, rubbing the back of his head.
"It does seem a bit unfair," Izuku added as they both got back up, still in battle positions.
"Such are the conditions you will face in a real, open battle against a villain. Your objective is to overcome this fact—think outside the box and reach your goal without resorting to unthinkable methods unbecoming of a hero."
All Might caught both boys in a lariat, sending them splashing into the water. While still submerged, Katsuki fired a heat ray underwater. Although it caught Yagi by surprise, he was still able to dodge it.
Izuku burst out of the water, spitting a stream of silk that caught both of his opponent's feet. However, he quickly realized the sand wasn’t firm enough to hold the silk, allowing Yagi to break free.
Just as he freed himself, Katsuki jumped out of the water, dashing to land a claw swipe on Yagi. But the pro hero swiftly grabbed him by the neck. Katsuki reacted quickly, twisting and turning to land a tail swipe against the arm that held him, freeing himself just as Izuku fired another strand of silk, landing it right on All Might's face.
As the pro hero struggled to rip the silk off his face, Katsuki swiftly reached for the flag. A kick to his gut from Yagi sent him soaring into the air, but Izuku caught him mid-flight, using the momentum to spin and launch him back at Yagi.
The crash created a cloud of dust, and inside it, Katsuki fired a barrage of heat rays, moving in all directions while Izuku struggled to determine if they were hitting their target.
Katsuki was sent flying by another punch just before the dust settled, and Yagi jumped after him, grabbing both boys as he slammed them to the ground, creating another dust cloud and another heat ray shot.
Once the dust settled, the No. 1 hero stood tall, while his apprentices lay on the ground, panting. The two held onto each other for support as they slowly got back up.
"Is that all you can take, or can you keep going?!" Yagi asked, his voice booming and ready to continue.
"Nah... We won," Katsuki said smugly, revealing Izuku holding the red flag aloft.
All Might was caught by surprise as he looked down at his belt, confirming that indeed, they had taken the flag.
"We nearly forgot that the objective was to grab the flag, not to beat you. We couldn’t coordinate the same way you taught us, so we went wild and let our instincts take over, hoping for the best as we gave it our all," explained Izuku, as the two boys walked toward their mentor.
Yagi enveloped them in a tight bear hug, knocking the air out of their lungs before gently letting them go. "I am very proud to see how far you’ve come. You will be extraordinary heroes as long as you keep your bond with each other strong," he said, beaming with pride.
"Now go! Your training with me is over, and you’ve come out of it stronger than ever. Enjoy your summer to the fullest because U.A. awaits you both!"
As they turned to leave, Katsuki nudged Izuku with his elbow. "Ready for high school?" he asked, a grin spreading across his face.
"More than ready!" Izuku replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
The two boys stood in front of the esteemed gates of U.A. High, the best hero school in all of Japan. Their shared dream was one step closer to being realized.
"Izuku-sama!" cried Lora as she hugged Izuku tightly, sadness evident in her voice. She was upset that they wouldn't be able to spend as much time together as they used to.
"I wish you good luck, Izuku-sama," said Moll, trying to hold her emotions in check. She was sad too but managed to keep herself together better than her sister.
"Moll... Lora... You two were among the few who believed in me, and I will always be grateful that you are my friends," Izuku said, struggling to hold back his own tears. "So please, continue to support me as Kacchan and I pursue our goal!"
"Of course we will!" the twins replied in unison, their spirits lifted as the three friends shared one last hug for now.
As the twins turned to leave, Katsuki and Izuku spotted their eldest sister, Belvera, waiting for them by a tree. Her hair was a deep brown, and she wore a black headband adorned with a dragon ornament. While the twins waved goodbye to Katsuki and Izuku, Belvera seemed disinterested, already walking ahead of Moll and Lora.
"Quit being so dramatic. You can text them anytime you want," Katsuki argued, a hint of annoyance in his tone at how emotional the girls were acting.
"I know… but it will be hard not to see them as often," Izuku replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
The two friends exchanged glances, their expressions filled with a mix of fear, anticipation, excitement, and hope. They felt the weight of the moment, knowing that everything was about to change.
They held hands firmly as they passed through the gates, officially entering the school. Their journey to become heroes had truly begun.
As they stepped inside, Katsuki whispered to himself, "Hail to the King and Queen!" The words felt powerful, resonating with the rhythm of their hearts, which beat strongly in unison.

Hope the fight scene was good enough because I planned quite a few.
Chapter 6: The Application
Summary:
The day has come for the future King and Queen to see if they are worthy to chase their dreams as the first obstacle arrives.
Notes:
I suppose I should give a little explanation incase some of you don't get how the dynamic between Izuku and Katsuki work opposed to how it is in canon. Izuku is slightly more upbeat and confident thanks to Katsuki being with him to defend him but still has his over thinking tendencies but added an need to nurture and care for other that he inherited from Mothra as seeing how he will had this need to heal any wounded he sees. Katsuki anger and ego doesn't come from being overly praised but from his ego that he gained from Godzilla and his anger and dislike of people in general is from his protective instincts he has for Izuku. He still remembers how horribly Izuku was treated and how people tried to suck up to him to get into his good graces. That is why he is constantly angry in this AU compared to canon. The goal is to make them similar to canon mixed with how them being reincarnations of the titans would alter it.

Chapter Text
The two were unaware they were holding hands tightly as they took the first steps inside the school grounds. Izuku tripped on thin air, dragging Katsuki with him. "I'm not going to hear the end of this one..." thought Izuku out loud to himself, knowing Katsuki was not going to let him live this one down. They closed their eyes and waited for the impact as their faces crashed against the concrete... And they waited... And waited again, but nothing happened.
"Don't worry, I gotcha," said a clear feminine voice. The two opened their eyes to see that they were in the air, floating like balloons. The source was a girl around their age, with short brown hair in a bowl cut.
"Yeah, yeah, thanks for the save, but can you put us back down?" Katsuki said, not mincing his words with his typical attitude, which earned him a look from Izuku.
"Oh right! Sorry!" said the girl as she touched her fingers together, and they stopped floating, landing on the ground as if nothing had happened.
"That was amazing! How did you do that?" said Izuku as he scrambled to look for his quirk notes.
"Deku! It's too early in the morning for this bullshit; we're gonna be late!" howled Katsuki, getting the attention of other students as he lifted his friend over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, marching off to the building while ignoring Izuku's protests.
The girl stood there, kind of in shock at what had transpired in front of her, as a blush formed on her plump cheeks. "Those two... They are kind of cute together..." she said to no one in particular, her cheeks still flushed and her eyes sparkling.
"HELLO AND GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL!!! CAN I GET A HEY?!" yelled a blonde man with his hair gelled up, wearing a pair of glasses and headphones, speaking like an announcer at a sports game.
Only Izuku shared in the man's enthusiasm; the rest stared at him with disinterest. This was Present Mic, pro hero and radio show host.
The lack of response did not deter him as he continued to bombastically explain what would be done. They would be tested to see if they had the guts to be heroes. They would be divided into different sites where they would face robots designed to act like typical villains attacking civilian areas. He mentioned that there were different types of robots, each worth a different amount of points.
Most of this was ignored by Katsuki, whose ears were bombarded by Izuku's mumbles and ramblings. He was just about to call out and tell him to stop when another boy beat him to it.
"You! You have been muttering loudly, and it is distracting and bothersome. Refrain right now," he spoke sternly, standing up. He had neat-looking glasses adorning his stern eyes, and his large, bulky body made him intimidating.
"Ah! I'm sorr—" Izuku started to speak but felt the familiar touch of Katsuki's hand on his shoulder.
"You better watch your mouth, four eyes, before I knock out all your teeth for disrespecting my queen," said the blonde boy, showing a furious glare in his eyes that contrasted with the calmness of the rest of his face.
The two locked eyes for a few seconds before simply sitting back down, and everyone close let out a sigh of relief they didn’t know they were holding.
"By the way!" Present Mic continued to speak. "Gotta ask y'all a question!... Does anyone remember the Super Mario Bros?!" This question left the students present confused, but before anyone could ask, the pro hero spoke again.
"While there are four types of enemies you will be facing in the test, it would be wise to avoid what you would call a Thwomp. Basically, it's an unbeatable enemy that is better to avoid. Another example would be the nemesis from Resident Evil. Even if it ends up chasing you, it's better to just run away!"
A nerve was touched as Katsuki exhaled a few flames, angered at what he perceived as an insult directed at him while failing to understand the pro hero's words.
But soon, he felt a nice, relaxing warmth calm him down. It was Izuku rubbing his hand up and down Katsuki's back. Over the years, Izuku had taken on the duty of ensuring his friend didn’t lose his cool and end up in trouble. He had read up on tips online about handling situations like this. He learned that Katsuki liked back rubs in human form, as his dorsal plates got in the way. If he was in his quirk form, Izuku found that rubbing his neck side to side worked just as well. A smack on the back of the head with his trusty quirk notebook also helped; it made it clear without words to signal the blonde to cool down.
The two were in their own little world and didn’t hear the rest of Present Mic: "Since we don't have any other questions, that's all from me. I leave you with some words from Napoleon Bonaparte: true heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life. Break a leg out there! Plus Ultra!"
Everyone changed into sportswear and was soon divided into the different sites.
The moth boy was... nervous? Excited? Nervecited? Is that even a word? Yeah, it’s definitely a word. But then his thought process was interrupted when he saw the same girl from earlier. As he was about to walk up to her, he felt a hand on his shoulder, and it wasn't Katsuki.
"Where are you going? The test is beginning soon." Izuku turned around to see that the same guy from the auditorium was holding him in place, his glasses reflecting the sunlight and giving him a stern look.
"Well, don’t you have guts, touching my Queen in front of me?" Katsuki growled lowly as he took on his quirk form, letting his tail drag on the ground like it was some kind of threat.
The two of them locked eyes as the other kids nearby whispered.
"Did the lizard guy call greeny there his queen?"
"Gross! Do you think he means it that way?"
"Talk about shameless; what a freak."
Everything came to a halt when Present Mic spoke again through the intercom.
"AND BEGIN!!!"
But everyone present just let out a collective, "Hmm?" as they were distracted by the squabble that was about to go down. However, they quickly got their bearings and dashed off into the site to begin the tests as the doors opened.
Izuku quickly changed into his quirk form and lifted off the ground a few feet to stay close to Katsuki as he ran alongside him.
Toshinori, in his quirk form, was watching from a distance on a screen, observing how the students were performing alongside the rest of the adults. Present Mic, another man with shoulder-length hair and bags under his eyes, a man with a beard made of fire—both had a stern, scary look in their eyes—and a mouse-like creature in a fancy suit with a cup of tea in its hand, joined Present Mic and a few others.
"I was surprised when you asked us to make sure that those two ended up together, knowing it was supposed to be randomized where all the potential students ended up," said the mouse, looking at All Might curiously. The pro hero had made the request in advance before the day of the test was decided.
"And I thank you for honoring my request, Principal Nezu. I know it comes off as unprofessional, but you need to see these two in tandem," said All Might cordially.
"What is so special about them?" asked the man with bags under his eyes, his voice sour and uninterested. "They just appear to have basic transformation quirks."
"It’s difficult to explain with just words; it’s better to just wait and see. Believe me, you will be impressed," said All Might, unfazed by the other man's comment.
Everyone had split up and scattered, with some of them dividing into teams of two or three, both boys being among them. The area was designed to resemble a moderately large city, with concrete buildings everywhere.
The duo of Izuku and Katsuki quickly dashed to the top of one of the many roofs, Izuku flying up while Katsuki launched himself using his claws.
"Alright, fluffy head, got any plans in that noggin of yours?" asked the lizard boy with a smug grin, showing his fangs.
Before the moth boy could answer, the rumbling of collapsing buildings as the enemy robots emerged caught their attention.
The blonde gave his partner a look, and they understood what to do. Izuku flew up and fired a string of silk onto Katsuki’s back, throwing him crashing into one of the robots and crushing it in one hit.
Now separated, they knew what to do as they had planned for this. Both were more than capable of fighting on their own just as much as when they were together.
Katsuki easily shredded the enemy robots to pieces and crushed them with tail slams, trying not to over-rely on his heat ray to avoid unnecessary collateral damage, as instructed by Izuku.
Katsuki saw the four-eyed jerk just as he was about to finish off one of the robots. The blonde quickly stole the finishing blow with a heat ray from a distance, even landing with a hard slam and sending whatever pieces were left flying to add insult to injury.
The four-eyed boy approached him with indignation burning in his eyes. "Must you behave like a brute? That was mine," he said, not showing any of the typical fear most people displayed around Katsuki.
"Your fault for taking so long," was all Katsuki said with an impish grin on his face as he leaped off the ground into the air, looking for the next target.
While with Izuku, he had just bound one of the robots with his excel string thread. He spat out another thread, this one catching a large chunk of debris, making a makeshift flail as he smashed it onto the head of the robot, finishing it off. He was about to leave when he heard very quiet whimpers. Looking around, he found the source.
It was another student, bulky with a face that resembled a boulder. One of his legs was pinned under some rubble, and it looked like he couldn't get it off himself. Izuku approached him with concern.
When the boy saw the moth boy, he quickly let out a quiet, scared yelp, not wanting Izuku to get close. But the greenette raised his hands in reassurance, showing that he was there to help.
"It's okay!" he said, his voice calm yet a bit nervous. "I assume you don't like bugs, huh?" he asked, almost knowing the answer, as incidents like this had happened before. Some, specifically those with entomophobia, were freaked out by his moth wings and antennae.
"Can I have your permission to help you?" the greenette asked, keeping a safe distance to avoid scaring the other boy. After a few seconds, the boy nodded, and Izuku quickly removed the rubble from his leg, applying a patch of his excel string like a bandage.
"Pain, pain, fly away!" Izuku said in a sing-song tune, noticing that the scales on his wings were spreading out.
As soon as he noticed it, the effect stopped, leaving him confused.
"That never happened before... I always sang when I was with Moll and Lora, but... Hey, that’s it!" He got up as the hypothesis came together in his mind, murmuring to himself.
"I was always in my human form, not in my moth form when I was singing. And it seems to be having an effect on my scales, similar to my Pulsaphonic shower." With the complete picture forming in his head, he focused back on the quiet boy, spreading his wings and starting to sing again.
"Lala lalalala~ lalalalalala~" His voice caused the scales of his wings to disperse in an ever-growing cloud of shining green dust. It had the same healing effect as the Pulsaphonic shower, but on a larger scale.
The boulder-faced boy felt his injured leg heal, and he even experienced a boost in strength. The effect strangely faded when the green-haired boy stopped singing, but he felt completely better now.
"Thank you," the boy said meekly as he left, and Izuku returned to hunting for more targets.
He easily found another robot and was going to attack it with a wing slap but was caught off guard when a laser nearly hit him. It was not Katsuki's, as it was pure shiny white rather than the sapphire blue he was accustomed to.
"Oh mon Dieu! My apologies!" The moth boy turned around to see it was a blond boy with a slender frame, wearing fancy-looking clothes and a bizarre large belt.
"I assume that it's giving you a hard time, huh?" asked Izuku as he and the blonde dodged a swing from the robot.
"Oui. It just doesn't seem to want to stay down. But I think it's almost down, so you best be off and let me take it," the blonde boy said, and Izuku realized he was speaking with a French accent.
"Well, actually, I have something that can give you a little boost." Before the French boy could ask, Izuku started singing again and spread another cloud of his scales. The French boy felt his strength growing as he sensed the other boy's voice resonating within him.
"Oh my! Comme c'est magnifique!" he exclaimed as he fired a more charged shot from his belt, dealing a significant hit to the robot as it fell. The blonde quickly turned to Izuku, his eyes twinkling and sparkling.
"That was extraordinary and flashy! I mus—" As he spoke, neither of them noticed that the robot was not completely down and was about to smash the French boy. The two finally noticed, but it was too late.
In the blink of an eye, two other beams flashed out, delivering the fatal blow and finally taking out the robot for good.
The blonde turned around to see that it was the greenette who had done it. The proof was in how his antennae faintly glowed the same orange-yellow color as the two beams.
"Did... Did I do that?" asked Izuku in a whisper, incredulous.
"En effet, tu l'as fait, mon mignon petit papillon!" said the French boy.
"I have to go! I have to show Kacchan!" Izuku said as the information finally hit him and he showed a big wide smile as he flew away looking for his friend.
"I'm strong now! I'm strong now too!"
"Tch... these pieces of junk don't even deserve to be called a challenge." Katsuki wiped the oil and scrap from his claws after dispatching yet another robot.
"Kacchan!" The blonde turned to see his Queen flying towards him excitedly, a cheeky grin spreading across his lips.
"What is—" Just as they drew close, a massive explosion erupted nearby, showering them with debris.
As the dust settled, everyone nearby gasped at the sight of a much larger robot than the rest, clearly far more powerful.
Izuku managed to grab Katsuki, pulling him to a safer distance as the other students stood petrified in fear, witnessing the sheer size of the foe.
"I suppose this is the nemesis that Present Mic was talking about," Izuku said, trembling.
But Katsuki was focused on the others, who were starting to flee in fear, a terrifying smile spreading across his face.
"Let's take it down!" he declared, his tone dripping with pride, much to his Queen's horror.
"K-K-Kacchan, you can't be serious!"
"As serious as a heart attack! You've seen how powerful we are! We took down that shitty slime ball that the pros couldn't even touch, we won against the No. 1 hero, All Might himself, and we ARE going to win against this pathetic bucket of bolts!" Katsuki boasted, listing their accomplishments with a grandiose tone.
Izuku's fear began to dissipate as he looked into Katsuki's eyes, finding no trace of doubt in his words.
"Okay. If you say we can, then let's do this!" the moth boy replied, still a little afraid but willing to trust his friend's instincts.
"That's the spirit! Come on!" Katsuki yelled, launching himself straight into the nemesis.
"Hey! Check out this new trick I just learned! I call it beam pulsar!" Izuku announced, unleashing lasers from his antennae. Katsuki was caught off guard by the sight of the lasers.
"You know what we need to do, right?" Katsuki asked, sparks flying from his mouth to signal their plan. Izuku nodded in agreement.
As the heat ray and beam pulsar were about to be fired, Izuku heard an "ouch!"
He turned to see the same girl they met at the entrance. The greenette rushed over to her.
"Hey, you okay!?" he asked, activating his Pulsaphonic Shower to help her up. But her face twisted in panic.
"Look out!" she yelled, pulling him away just in time to avoid the nemesis's fist, which was about to crush them both. Katsuki saved them begrudgingly, taking the brunt of the hit for their sake, and the three were sent crashing into a wall, which the lizard boy also collided with.
As Izuku got up and saw how beat up his friend was, panic surged through him.
"Kacchan! I'm so sorry! I got distracted and—"
"It's fine. Don't worry about it. I knew you'd heal me afterward. A few meaningless scratches won't kill me so easily," Katsuki replied, still exuding his prideful ego. "Now come on! One last hit, and we end this!"
Katsuki grasped Izuku's hand, pulling him back into battle.
"Let's show this piece of shit why we are the future king and queen of the heroes!"
Any remaining doubt in Izuku's heart vanished. How could he argue with Katsuki's sheer boundless determination?
"Yeah!"
Izuku flew a few feet, clinging to Katsuki's neck as both boys began to radiate heat and glow. They formed the same barrier of energy, plasma, and electricity that had worked against the slime villain. The nemesis, sensing the rising threat, rushed in to land a punch.
But before the attack could connect, the barrier erupted into a surge of uncontrollable exploding electricity and plasma, damaging the robot's circuitry and leaving it immobilized.
"Let's finish it!" Katsuki growled, charging up a heat ray. Izuku nodded in agreement, charging a pulsar beam of his own. They fired simultaneously, side by side, landing a direct hit that completely destroyed the nemesis, leaving behind only a crater and some scorched remnants of the defeated foe.
Everyone nearby stood in shock, witnessing the complete destruction of the nemesis.
Just as the two boys were about to collapse to the ground, the girl quickly rushed over and used her powers to make them float, gently laying them down on the ground.
"You two were amazing!" she exclaimed, still processing what she had just seen.
"Well dah, what did y—" Katsuki began, but Izuku elbowed him in the side to silence him.
"Be nice!" Izuku scolded, giving his friend a stern look.
"Alright, move aside, move aside," a voice called out, drawing their attention to an elderly lady in a stylized nurse uniform, distributing candy to everyone around.
"I must say, you two sure hurt yourselves pretty badly," the old lady observed as she examined their wounds more closely.
"What's it to ya, old hag?!" Katsuki snapped, interpreting the comment as an insult, which earned him another jab from Izuku.
"My, my, do you really not know who the madam here is?" The French boy chimed in, popping out of nowhere.
"This here is the backbone of U.A., the head nurse, Recovery Girl, and the reason why the school can pull off dramatic events like this one. She has a healing quirk that almost instantly recovers any wound."
"Well now that the introductions are out of the way, shall I?" Recovery Girl said, her lips stretching as she leaned in to kiss both boys, leaving the newbies in shock at how her healing worked.
"Hey, Miss Recovery Girl? My quirk actually has healing abilities too, so... once I'm healed up, can I assist you in healing the others here?" Izuku asked, watching in astonishment as his wounds began to close up.
But before the nurse could respond, Katsuki growled angrily, "Will you knock it off! You are fucking injured too, remember? Just lay the fuck down!"
Izuku looked at Katsuki, taken aback by his friend's outburst. "But Kacchan, I want to help!"
"No! You need to focus on yourself first! You can’t do anything if you’re dead!" Katsuki shot back, his concern for Izuku shining through despite his harsh words.
Recovery Girl chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling with warmth. "He's right, dear. You need to take care of yourself before you can help others."
Izuku sighed, knowing Katsuki was just looking out for him, even if his delivery was rough. "Okay, fine. I’ll rest for now."
"Good," Katsuki said, crossing his arms defiantly, though a hint of relief washed over him when he saw Izuku settle back down.
Back with the adults monitoring the test, Principal Nezu watched the events unfold on the screen with keen interest. His beady eyes sparkled with excitement as he turned to All Might, who stood beside him, a proud smile on his face.
"I believe I understand what you meant, All Might. These two really do have great potential," Nezu said, nodding appreciatively as he observed Katsuki and Izuku's teamwork in the face of overwhelming odds.
"Indeed!" All Might replied, his voice booming with enthusiasm. "Their synergy is remarkable, and the way they motivate each other is something special. They have a unique bond that will only grow stronger as they face more challenges together."
A few other faculty members gathered around, nodding in agreement. "It's impressive to see how quickly they adapted to the situation," one of the teachers remarked. "Their instincts kicked in, and they worked together seamlessly despite the chaos."
"Exactly!" Nezu added, his tiny paws clapping together in delight. "And it's not just their abilities; their determination to protect each other really stands out. That kind of heroism is what we need in the next generation."
As they continued to watch, the screens showed Katsuki and Izuku being tended to by Recovery Girl, their resilience shining through even in their injuries.
A whole week had passed since the test, and the acceptance letters were still nowhere to be seen, leaving Izuku fidgeting non-stop at the breakfast table.
"Izuku, honey, swallow your food! You’re just chewing over and over," Inko said, gently snapping her son out of his trance as he sat deep in thought.
"Oh, sorry!" he exclaimed, mouth full of food as he hurriedly swallowed.
"Don't worry, Zuku! I'm sure you and Katsuki made it!" his mom said, trying to reassure him with a warm smile.
Before he could respond, a loud bang echoed through the house as the door crashed open, signaling the arrival of Katsuki and his family.
"Oh my, they're early!" Inko exclaimed, standing up from the table with Izuku to open the door.
There stood the Bakugou family, with Katsuki holding two letters high in the air, a mischievous grin plastered on his face.
"Guess what just arrived?!" Katsuki announced, his excitement bubbling over.
"Katsuki, honey, how many times have I told you not to open our mail?" Inko said sweetly but firmly, a hint of exasperation in her voice.
"Hey, it's for a good cause!" Katsuki defended himself, stepping inside the Midoriya residence with his parents.
"Well, come on! Don't keep us in suspense! Open them!" Mitsuki said, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
The boys counted to three and ripped the letters open, and to their surprise, two strange metal pieces that looked like coasters fell onto the table. They stared at them for a moment before a light flickered on, revealing two holographic screens.
"Hello, dear applicants!" chimed two identical All Mights from the separate screens, their voices echoing in unison.
"If you are watching this right now, it means that you have been accepted into U.A. High. We hope to see you on the first day of class! Welcome to your Hero Academy!" With that, the two screens turned off, leaving the room in stunned silence.
"Blegh. Talk about tacky! They could have just written letters instead of this crap. It’s bad enough that the guy has his face plastered everywhere; at least he had the decency to keep it short," Katsuki grumbled, crossing his arms in annoyance at the pro hero's over-the-top display.
Izuku, however, was frozen in shock, his eyes wide.
"Was that real?" he asked out loud, looking around as if seeking reassurance.
"Of course it’s real! What are you, blind?" Katsuki shot back in his typical fashion, though there was a hint of excitement in his tone.
As all the information finally processed in his mind, Izuku's face broke into a giant smile.
"Kacchan, we did it!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms around his friend in pure joy.
"Of course we did, you idiot! Don’t say you ever doubted us!" Katsuki replied, equally overjoyed, wrapping his arms around Izuku in return.
Mitsuki celebrated loudly, her voice rising in excitement, while Masaru beamed with pride, patting both boys on the back.
Inko, tears of joy streaming down her face, walked over to the portrait of Hisashi.
"Darling... Our boy is working hard to make his dream come true. I know you would be proud of him too," she whispered softly, her heart swelling with happiness as she turned back to join the celebration in the living room.
Notes:
In case it wasn't obvious there will be no division between Deku squad and baku squad they will be a collective group of friend all of them that on occasion divide into two every now and then.
