Work Text:
Every time an episode is being broadcasted, a watch party is held in the Dark Pit of Despair. Those who reside there, both rejects and eliminated contestants, will get to see the events and conflicts unfold in the competition. Some analyze who will be joining them in the DPOD, some betting on what happens on Live. Everybody there will munch on their popcorn (and other snacks) as they see the competition progress.
There is one individual who isn’t part of the watch party, though, and that individual is Post-It Note. The wad of sticky notes rather sits on the other side of the pit to read a novel.
He is still bitter about the events of the last episode. The way Bottle, his closest friend and the only ally he had left in the game, turned her back on him and listened to the words of their archenemy still pissed him off to this day. Post-It thought she was smarter than that, but in the end, he now sees her as a coward. Since then, he doesn’t feel like looking at her face without feeling hurt, not one bit. That also means not looking at the screen where she can be seen through.
While he is more focused on his book, he overheard Bottle’s voice mentioning his name.
“You can’t win this, I won’t let you! Not after what happened to Post-It Note-”
Chainsaw snarkily chuckles upon hearing that, “THAT’S what this is about?”
Post-It Note still did not feel like watching the screen, but it somewhat piqued his interest. Therefore, he continued to listen out of curiosity and concern.
“Is it that hard to understand!? I’m just looking out for my friend-”
“Don’t give me that excuse!”
Her words were cut off by Chainsaw. Not only did he later torment Bottle by reminding what she did last episode, but Post-It can hear the sounds of wood getting scratched. Those sounds convinced him to just take a quick peek. First thing he saw on the screen was Chainsaw bashing his bladed head onto a wooden sign that was shielding Bottle’s face.
“You can’t do ANYTHING on your own. You voted out your closest friend, just like that, so now you have to work with Treasure Boy…!”
The slashing continues.
“You’re nothing more… than A FOLLOWER!”
As much as Post-It Note is upset at Bottle, it hurts to see this and it causes him to worry if Chainsaw is going to physically harm her in that moment of confrontation. He is a dangerous individual appearance-wise, a literal walking weapon, after all. Post-It is tempted to look away.
Then, he heard her speaking back.
“I am not gonna let you keep messing with me! GET…”
She places her foot on to the back of the sign while pulling it back, getting ready to kick him down.
“...LOST!”
Bottle gives a sharp blow to his face, detaching the sign between the two. Chainsaw tumbles down the hill, hitting his head on a tree trunk and cracking his egg in the process. All it took was for Bottle to physically retaliate. Post-It Note saw this entire segment through the screen in shock.
Seeing enough, he gets back into his own personal space, going back to where he left off.
He already knew Bottle is physically strong – not as strong as Milk, but that is not related. What caught him off-guard is how she was able to knock Chainsaw down of all people. It has been a while since he saw anyone successfully winning a fight against him. Although, it does put a brief smile onto his face, knowing the satisfaction he got from Chainsaw getting what he deserves.
Maybe she is stronger than Post-It Note believed.
