Chapter Text

I was just in a restaurant eating my favorite food. Borscht and stuffed dumplings. I went on trips alone because I was single. I didn't mind and I had booked a room far from here because I wasn't at the end of my journey yet.

Outside the window of the restaurant, I saw someone staring at me, but I didn't pay much attention to it because the person left.

It was already getting dark and I had already changed at least three times to the next train and now I was still waiting for the bus which was on the other side of a small town and then I had to walk almost ten kilometers to get to my hotel. He was alone in the forest because I like nature.

But after a while, the journey started to tire me a lot. I have diabetes but I told myself that it is not time to take insulin yet. After that I felt sick. But probably from the borscht or the dumplings, and I ended up throwing up in the park. I had to sit on the bench and breathe it out. I had nowhere else to go and that remote room would be my only refuge and I desperately needed to get there no matter what the cost.

I only had a mat with me. There was going to be a festival tomorrow that I wanted to go to.
After a while I got up again and went on my way. Eventually, however, I collapsed.

I don't know how long I lay there, but when I started to open my eyes, someone was kneeling next to me. I realized what he was doing only after a while. There was a needle with my insulin on the floor. The person obviously realized what it was all about and so he stuck the needle in me.

He helped me up and asked if I was okay. I said I needed to get to the hotel but it was already late and there were no buses going there. He told me that I wouldn't be able to get there today and suggested that we sleep somewhere under the open sky.

After we chatted for a while, I found out that he was going to the same festival as me and that he always sleeps outside because he doesn't like public transport very much.
He lent me his tent for one and I gave him my mat. He said he would sleep next to the tent and that I didn't have to worry about him. He tried to give me personal space because he saw that I was nervous and he was literally a stranger to me.

We slept on the outskirts of the city in a park and I fell asleep restlessly. He was a little taller than me and I was afraid he would do something to me. Just imagine that you were lying on the ground passed out and someone is standing over you the whole time and stabbing you with an insulin needle! Just what is it? Why didn't he call an ambulance? And he still offer me his tent?

I was already asleep, but I woke up when the person started to crawl into my tent. I was absolutely terrified, but he immediately apologized to me and said that he would climb out again when there stopped raining. I noticed that he was completely soaked, so I left him. after all, it was still his tent. I lay pressed against the wall of the tent as much as possible, and he on the other side. He really tried to give me space and when it stopped raining, he went outside again. But I didn't fall asleep anymore. To be sure.

In the morning we packed up and continued our journey to the hotel. He accompanied me because I agreed when he offered this escort offer and we would have met at the festival anyway. He was carrying my luggage which was fine and I was still a bit nauseous anyway.

In the room, I finally booked a room for both of us to repay his attention and help. He gave me fleeting glances and I knew that he sometimes looks at me and examines me. However, I pretended not to see it and whenever he turned away from me, I watched him again.

It was actually taller than it seemed at night. He had a deep grass-green eye and the other was under a bandage, but I didn't ask why. I learned that he is thirteen years older than me, but I really liked that and he is probably the most gallant guy I have ever met and he didn't try anything on me.

Although our acquaintance was strange, I started to like him. We also went to the restaurant and he even ordered for me and paid for everything. We sat across from each other and he smiled at me with the softest smile I've ever seen. He doesn't drink a single beer or alcohol and that was another green flag for me. He says he doesn't like to drink alcohol.

We both drank our cokes happily and I wondered what to do next. Until now he introduced himself to me as Soviet and I said I was Russian.
We both liked nature trips and were fans of architecture and history. Finally, he pulled out a scene with a green ball from his bag.
He explained to me that it is a grass that lives at the bottom of lakes and sometimes flies there like a ball and that he bought it at another festival where there were plants and herbs. He still had a lot of bags with herbs for tea with him, so we agreed that we would make herbal tea in the room from the mixture he had.

I had a lot of fun and during the time we knew each other we became so close that it felt like we had known each other for several years like old friends. Besides, he was smart and knew a lot of things. I appreciate when someone is well-mannered and has decent manners and expressions.

He's not dating anyone and he didn't even have a wife or kids. I wondered why because I really liked him.

Several times I caught him looking at me again and when I looked into his eyes he immediately looked away. I didn't know what to do anymore so I blushed embarrassedly.

When we got to the room, I immediately put my things away and wanted to go take a shower, but he suddenly changed and pressed me to the door. He told me that he liked me from the first moment and that at night when we slept and he slept outside, he looked for condoms wherever he could and walked around town.

I was surprised, but I felt the same for him, so I agreed and we arranged a date. We laughed for a while about the fact that we had actually already been on a date before we came here, so we arranged another one.

he told me that he felt that I needed a partner and a good father at the same time, which he was right about, but he kept surprising me with how good he was at reading people. He was Gay and I was Pan or maybe Bi but I never dealt with this topic in any way so I don't know.

we started kissing and ended up going to the shower together.
We slept together after the festival and now we've been together happily for four years and every anniversary of our relationship we go to the same festival together again.
