Work Text:
After being back in his hometown, he was heading back to the school. The air was crisp with coolness. It was winter afterall. In a way- well, indefinitely he was glad he was heading back to school. He was able to be away from his mother’s strictness and…other things that happened at home as well. He still was strict with rules but after overblotting and having Ace really push it into his mind, he’s become a little bit more lenient. Not too much but enough that the students who resigned in the Heartslabyul dorm weren’t as fearful of him.
With all this this mind, going back to school and having a couple days to get settled back into the dorms, and getting to speak with one's he wishes too as well. He took a small breath and looked at his mother. He forced a small smile and waved to her. “I’ll talk to you soon mother,” he told her.
“You better, and don’t eat those sugary treats, you know how unhealthy they are,” his mother responded.
“I know mother,” he said. “I’ll do my absolute best as you know.”
“Good, now go before you are late,” she told him, watching him walk away to go to the mirror to leave the Queendom of Roses.
With that being done and over with, the reddened haired one’s smile faded as he walked. He didn’t look back at his mother. He couldn’t, he felt her gaze boring onto his back. He looked straight ahead before his gaze shifted as he walked past a very specific pastry shop. A thought crossed his mind but he knew it would be better to talk with this special person once at school. He would rather not have to hear about going there from his mother. He doesn’t think he couldn’t handle much more.
This trip back to his mother’s place was worse than it had ever been before. He really hated it and he wished that he had the choice of staying at the dorm rather than back at his home. That was a pretty bad situation if you’d rather stay at school than at home. That says something at least.
He continued to walk and not too long after, he arrived at the mirror. He looked at it for a short moment before walking through it, going onto school grounds.

With the halls being packed out with students flooding in from their hometowns. Eventually he made it back to the Heartslabyul dorm and to his room. He had unpacked, placing the final article of clothing in the closet. He closed the closet doors with a small sigh. His hands rested on the doors, his eyes closing. He still felt a sense of anxiety despite being away from his mother now.
A hand shifted to his chest, his hand fisting some of the sweater’s fabric he was wearing. He took in some slow and deep breaths to calm himself. After a few long minutes, he was a little calmer. His eyes shot open when he heard a knock on his door.
His hands dropped to his sides as he looked toward the door that led outside of his dorm room. He stepped over and placed his hand on the doorknob before turning it, letting the door open. It revealed his dear boyfriend, Trey. He softly smiled at him, feeling what anxiety he had melted away just from seeing him.
“Hey Trey,” he murmured, gently taking hold of his hand to guide him into his room.
The one with glasses also smiled at the shorter one, letting him lead him into his room. “Hey, how are you doing?” He gently asked him. “I know things were quite limited with being at your mother’s place; so just making sure.”
Riddle’s smile went away as he glanced away from him. He carefully shut the door behind them. He began to remember the nights and days he wanted to call his boyfriend to hear his voice and to talk with him, well, both of his boyfriends in fact. He had two boyfriends, they all knew and loved one another very much. Nonetheless, he wished he could have been able to speak with both of them moreover the winter break. At least now he can spend more time with them.
Trey seemed to notice the silence as he frowned softly. “It was pretty bad there I’m guessing, right?” He carefully asked him, gently pulling him closer to hold him close.
The smaller managed a small nod as he buried his face against the other’s chest. “It…It wasn’t pleasant in the slightest,” he quietly told him.
“You would rather not talk about it?”
The red haired one nodded slightly as his arms looped around the taller’s waist and hugged him tightly.
It had been a long while since he’s seen Riddle in such a state like this. He didn’t like seeing him like this, he wanted the best for him. He wanted him to be happy, to see that beautiful smile that he loved, and hearing his laugh too. He just wanted him to be happy and not in such a down state such as this.
He held him close and pressed a gentle kiss to the top of his head. “Would you like to cuddle for a bit? After I can grab a tart from the kitchen, a strawberry tart as I know it’s your favorite,” he murmured to him. “I grabbed one from the bakery before I left.”
With a nod, Riddle agreed to what Trey was offering. “Yes, both of those options sound wonderful,” he whispered.
With that, Trey scooped up Riddle into his arms and began to lead him to the bed to give him some comfort.

In the comfort of the shared dorm room between the ginger and green haired one’s, the throuple were together. The green haired one grabbed the slice of tart from the kitchen as he had mentioned it to the smaller.
Riddle was sitting on ginger’s bed with Cater hugging and holding him from behind while Trey was sitting beside them. They all seemed to be enjoying one another’s company, both Trey and Cater shared stories that managed to make Riddle smile or giggle.
The two of them managed to make him feel better, feeling happier and more relaxed. He truly was grateful for having them in his life. In words he couldn’t fully express that gratitude toward them. He could give it in affection or in gifts that he gives them too.
He cut off a small bite of the tart and held the bite to his lips before taking that bit off of the fork. He always loved the treats that Trey made. Always so delicious and delectable, if he could, he’d probably have these all day every day but that would spoil his favorite treat then.
“Riddle, is..that a bruise on your wrist?” The ginger suddenly asked him.
Riddle felt a sense of anxiety wash over him once hearing that. He set the plate on his lap before lowering the sleeve of his sweater. “Yes..yes it is,” he said, his voice quieting upon the question.
Both the diamond cheeked and the clover cheeked ones began to feel a sense of worry over him. Cater began to think of one line of thinking of reasoning and Trey thought of some others, the one thing they both did think of was the housewarden’s mother.
The one with glasses gently placed his hand on Riddle’s shoulder. “You don’t have to tell us if it makes you too uncomfortable, but was that from bumping into something, or something with your mom?” He gently asked him.
The smaller looked down at his lap, his hand firmly holding onto the end of the sleeve where his wrist was. He swallowed thickly as he felt like he was having a hard time trying to form words to speak. After what felt like forever was rather just a few seconds, he whispered, almost inaudible, “My mother.”
The other two fell silent hearing that. It was almost like one of the worst things they thought of actually was true. They both looked at one another, concern clear as day given their expressions. They looked at the smaller once more.
Trey carefully moved the plate off of Riddle’s lap to set it on the bedside table. “Would it be too much to show us the bruise, or bruises?” He gently asked him before looking at the ginger as he spoke.
“Yes, would you? If you’d be more comfortable with me as well, we both are trans after all,” Cater responded, gently nuzzling his nose on Riddle’s cheek affectionately.
Riddle sat there, unsure of what to think. He would rather not have them see but if they were to get intimate like they have in the past, they would likely ask of those bruises were still showing. He closed his eyes as he leaned a little more against Cater. “I can show both of you,” he told them. “I would rather keep my boxers and binder on though.”
“That’s totally fine,” Trey responded. “We just want you to be comfortable and to feel safe with us, right Cater?” He looked at the ginger when mentioning him.
“Yeah, we do want you comfy and safe,” Cater agreed, resting his head on the smaller’s shoulder, the one without Trey’s hand. “If it would make you feel better, I can strip down too.”
That managed a small snort from the reddened haired one. “It’s okay, you don’t have to,” he quietly told him. “Just…to have this in mind, mother was worse this time when visiting than any other time I’ve visited before.”

With keeping the situation as light as possible- well, not trying to dampen it more than it has to be. The smaller had slipped down to his boxers and binder. Both Trey and Cater were horrified by the amount of bruises and reddened marks on his pale skin. There were likely about a hundred or more of these marks. He wasn’t kidding when his mother was worse than before.
Before there had been a couple of bruises, not many but this, this was so much worse than any other time. It was like he had taken a beating and then some.
Riddle’s cheeks reddened softly as he saw them just staring at him with shock prominent on their faces. “Can you both not stare?” He asked them with a small huff. “I know it’s bad but seriously you two.” He glanced away from them as his hands turned to fists, balled at his sides.
The green haired one managed to stop staring first and stepped closer to him. He gently cupped the smaller’s face in his hands and turned his head to have him look at him. “Sorry, it still was a bit of a shock,” he apologized. “I can give you a kiss to make up for staring if you’d like.”
Riddle looked up at him as his cheeks felt warmer, he lifted his hands and cupped Trey’s in return. “I suppose that’ll do for now,” he responded before leaning up and kissing him.
They both kissed, it went from small pecks to longer kisses to making out. Cater of course felt left out, gazing away from them but he’ll have his turn with kissing them soon…hopefully.
Both Riddle and Trey’s bodies pressed against one another while they kissed. Trey’s hands shifted to gently hold Riddle’s hips while the other looped his arms around the taller’s neck. After like a solid minute, they both had to pull away. Both of their cheeks flushed as they both smiled a small smile at one another.
Riddle then let out a small squeak when feeling someone pressing behind him. He looked and saw Cater, his face grew hotter as he saw that Cater had striped down to his boxers. He slowly turned around to look at him, feeling Trey press his body lightly against his own. He looked at Cater’s chest and saw some scars from when he had gotten top surgery. He then looked up at him, feeling a bit flustered now.
The ginger laughed softly before leaning down and pressing a soft peck to his lips. “I couldn't have left you being partially naked,” he said to him with a small chuckle. “So I decided to be partially naked with you.” He then glanced at Trey to see his slip out of his clothing too, down to his boxers. They all were in their underwear now.
The one with glasses looped his arms around the smaller’s waist and loosely hugged him from behind. “I decided to join in too, didn’t want to be left out,” he responded, leaning his head down to press a kiss to the nape of his neck.
The reddened haired one let out a small squeak as he tightly hugged Cater close and hid his face against his chest. That tore a soft laugh from the ginger.
“So cute,” both Cater and Trey said in sync.
That only caused the smaller to let out another flustered noise while being gently squished by his two boyfriends which were half naked like he was.
Despite the bruises being a bit of a small downer, they managed to make the best of it. Pretty much Cater and Trey flustering Riddle beyond belief, and giving him kisses and cuddles. They were going to shower their shared boyfriend with so much love and affection since they truly did miss him, and they wanted him to feel as good as he possibly could.
