Server Academy

Summary:

Server Academy, the School for Students (Hybrid or not) who have taken interest in the Gods. Many are enrolled to become greater things and gain a vast knowledge of the gods. Many kids are also just enrolled so their family doesn't have to deal with them anymore. Getting Enrolled isn't that easy however, you have to have some bit of Magic in you. Oh yeah, the School also teaches Magic, my bad. So, are you ready for your life at Server University?
...Well, Markwell Bright wasn't when he was suddenly enrolled and forced to go. He didn't even know he had Magic to begin with! Well whatever at least he was away from his family...also why do some of the students act weird?
In which Author has no life, and makes this.

Chapter 1: Your filled with Magic, Markwell!

Chapter Text

"I'm going where now!?", Markwell Bright said as he looked at his Parents. His Parents, Sarah Bright a Human woman with no Intention to take care of her own kid and Wilson Bright, a Human who also had no intention to take care of a kid, and be married at times. Both of these Humans gave birth and had a child...who wasn't a Human. Somehow Markwell came out of the womb as a Demon or Teifling, he wasn't born with wings but there was a chance that they could grow, most likely from the affair Sarah had with a Man who was probably a Demon in disguise. So naturally his parents did the totally normal and reasonable thing of making Markwell raise himself and neglecting him. That's not the point however. The point is that he was somehow enrolled into Server University. You know, the School for Hybrids and Not Hybrids who ya know...HAVE MAGIC. Markwell has never even seen any Magic, let alone Cast it himself! And yet the Letter on the table reads...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear MARKWELL BRIGHT,
You have been accepted into Server Academy and shall begin your School Year on August 5th, 20XX.
Bring the items on the Packing List included with the Letter to ensure a comfortable stay and use the Map to find the school. We expect your arrival on School Grounds on July 28th or no later than August 2nd in order to get you settled in and ready. Further Instruction will be given on arrival. Make sure to take everything given with this letter. We are thrilled to have you stay and hope you feel the same!
Sincerely, Headmaster Philza Minecraft
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was the Night of July 26, leaving Mark a Day to get ready. His parents obviously were thrilled when they learned they wouldn't have to take care of him anymore and sent him off to his room to get ready. While packing his things Mark thought. 'How'd I get enrolled in the 1st place?' He had no recollection of ever signing or writing any Letters to that school, and obviously his parents didn't care enough to get him enrolled. Also, he was pretty sure he couldn't do Magic, so how he would pass the School Year was a mystery to him. Anxious is what he felt in the moment as he put the last of his things in the Box he got. His room was now barren, nothing but a bed on the floor to sleep in before he's sent away. Putting the boxes in his Car (that he worked his ass off for) and shutting the Trunk, he walked to his room as he fell onto his bed and closed his eyes to go to sleep. Tomorrow was gonna be a LONG day.

Chapter Text

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
"Oh Shit-"

Markwell got up as he went to his restroom and washed his teeth. Finishing, he went downstairs and put the rest of his stuff in his car before grabbing his keys and heading out. Leaving his House he took one last look in his trunk to make sure he had everything. Ever since he turned 14 he started to lose his things a lot. Seriously, he almost lost a $5 bill he swore he had in his hand before it disappeared. So he started to double check everything to make sure he had everything.

Blankets?
Check.

Posters?
Check.

Acceptance Letter?
Check.

Small Package of things given from the Academy?
Check.

Map?
Check.

Phone?
Check.

Car Keys?
Check.

Money?
Barely, but Check.

Will to Live?
Nope.

Markwell had everything he needed (except his Will to Live but-) and closed the Trunk Door with a loud THUNK. As he opened the Driver's Seat and closed it, he put his Key into the Ignition Slot and turned it, with the Car starting with a quiet rumbling sound as it did. He put on his seatbelt with a little click which felt nice to hear, he didn't know why though. Focusing on the trip to the school, he looked at his house one last time. Once he left to go to the academy he would never be able to return here again. One because he would turn 18 meaning his parents would basically forget about him and refuse to let him step onto their property, and Two because he didn't want to anyway. As he looked at the White bricks of his house he was starting to remember his childhood. It wasn't a good one but it was a childhood none the less. Memories of his Mom berating him for making a mess in the kitchen trying to make pancakes, His Dad forgetting him at the supermarket and it taking hours to find the way back home, his Mom spending hours on her makeup for some dumb party and fussing about Markwell's clothes, his Grandma coming over sometimes and refusing to acknowledge him, and overall not a great Childhood.

Whatever, his Childhood was over and he was about to turn 18 and go to college...or university, or whatever an academy qualified as. The Car had already been on long enough Markwell decided as he decided to start pressing down on the gas pedal to get the car moving. Leaving the driveway of his house and starting to drive down the road, he felt a heavy weight being lifted off his shoulders as he continued to drive. Drive, drive, and drive farther away from his old house. 10 minutes on the road later, Markwell had been actively getting farther and farther away from his old life. Passing by buildings and bakeries and malls and schools, some of them reminding him of other times in his life, good ones like a Baker, named "Alice" who gave him a loaf of bread for free when she saw him starving while walking down the street to the library, and bad ones like when he was dumped into the Garbage can in 7th grade, which was more funny looking back on than it was in the moment. As the buildings came into view and then disappeared behind him, so did the burden of his memories in this City.

Finally the City Entrance/Exit was in view. An Archway that read "WELCOME TO DUNESVILLE" in big Red letters on a Orange Metal Base with Yellow bricks supporting it at the bottom connecting to the metal. Were the colors there to make it look like fire? Yes. Was it always hot as fuck in the damn city? Yes. Did Markwell care? Not anymore.

As the Car passed the archway, all of Markwell's burdens felt like they had disappeared, never to be seen again. (Buddy that's not how Trauma works-)and so did the terrible memories of his Life (not true-)

5 minutes of driving on the road outside of the City and Markwell felt pretty good....except for the fact he didn't know where he was going. Almost half an hour on the road and he didn't know where the damn school was. All he was given was a Map with a little trail that went nowhere like if he was a fucking Pirate. Which honestly, isn't that bad but a simple address would've been nice.

'Shut Up.' Markwell mentally told himself as he tried his best to pay attention to the road and you know...not die before he gets to school. That would be so embarrassing. As Markwell drove he would occasionally look at his map and try his best to follow the trail. Even though it led to nowhere as the little tick marks ended at a McDonalds. Seconds turned to minutes as he continued to drive. Looking at the Map, he knew he was closer to the McDonalds that the Ticks ended on.....is what he would say if the Tick line hadn't magically moved away from the little McDonalds on the map. The line suddenly led further away from the McDonalds and to a Beach on the side of a Park. Markwell swears the line ended on the McDonalds. Yet on the Map the Line goes further. It took a while for Markwell to figure out what was going on.

'Of course the Map is Magic' he thought as he suddenly realized. The Map probably wouldn't show the school's location until he got closer to it as some safety precaution. Of course. Markwell took a deep breath and continued on driving. Minutes turned to Hours as he drove along the trail to the school. 11:32 A.M. became 2:47 P.M. as Markwell drove along the road. The Map continuing to continue the trail and get closer to the school. At least he hoped, you never know when a magical item meant to take you somewhere can lead you to somewhere else. As he drove he thought, 'How the fuck am I supposed to pass the year if I don't know how to do magic?' Which was very true. He got enrolled into a School that required Magic to pass, without any Magic to show. How he would explain this to the Headmaster was a mystery. Just something to think about when he got there, or at least close to the school. For now he should just focus on the road. The road and the road. alone.

Oh and also the Cool ass Car behind him that's been there for an hour now.

Chapter 3: Should I be Worried if I think I'm being Stalked or...

Chapter Text

A car that looked White and Golden, though could've just been a really shiny yellow, with Wheels that had a Yellow hue, was...following Markwell? He couldn't tell, the car had been following him for a while now as he drove to the academy, but could very well just have to take the same path as him for a while. As Markwell looked at the Bright (seriously it had light reflecting off it and it was getting in his eyes-) Car he could somewhat see the driver through the rear window. The driver was somewhat tall, probably around 5'11 or something, and had a white shirt with a necklace around their neck.

'Who the fuck is Following me?' Markwell thought as he looked at the map again. The trail was still going on but he could feel he was close somehow. It was a weird feeling, like a tug letting him know he was close. It was 3:00 P.M. at the time, meaning he had at least a few hours to get to the Academy before tomorrow. Tomorrow. What would happen tomorrow? Markwell didn't know. All he knew was that he was being followed. Speaking of being followed, the Man in the Car was still behind him.

Okay that's it. Markwell swiftly turned the wheel as he drove off course and near a Parking Lot before stopping and parking in one of the free spots. Just as he did he turned around and saw the Car do the same, and near his Car out of all the Spaces. 'Damn.' Markwell though as he began to wait. He waited...and waited......and waited..........and waited..............and waited. As Markwell was about to doze off (which would feel very nice and he's sooo tired, come on just close your eyes for a second it's won't be that looong and it would be very ni-) he shuttered awake as remembered he had to get to the Academy. It was 3:35 P.M. Dammit.

He started the car and began to drive back onto the road and follow the map to the Academy again. Left. Right. Straight. Left. Left. Up. Straight. Right. Wow, Markwell was surprisingly good at handling directions. And that Tugging feeling earlier got stronger. He was close. Maybe he should stop for some McDonalds. He had a little money on him anyway. As he looked around for a nearby McDonalds he took in the scenery. A bright Sun casting golden rays of light onto the world, a bunch of clouds in the sky that haven't come together to make it rain, a bunch of beautiful flowers near the road that bloomed beautifully.

It was Beautiful, Markwell though as he continued driving. The Trail continuing on the Map as he drove and drove. Markwell felt at peach with his surroundings, the flowers, the trees around him, the sun, the beautiful blue sky, the Golden Car behind him, the tall buildings near the road, the perfectly unbroken paved road, the bees near a tree making honey, the-

Wait.

Markwell turned around as his breath became caught in his throat.

It was the fucking Stalker Car again.

'What the actual fuck!?' Markwell thought as he began to drive faster. Looking at the Map he saw it changed again. Okay it was always changing let me elaborate. It had a little Green Star on it now. Great. He was near the academy.

As Markwell looked up the Car was still there behind him. Following Him. Stalking Him. Watching Him. Preying On Him.

...Okay so maybe Markwell had exaggerated a little. Either way that fucking Car was still behind him. It was at this Point that Markwell was close to just ramming the Car and leaving it to break down on the road. But he was close to the Academy, he can't just show up after committing a crime, that would be embarrassing.

Taking a deep breath, Markwell turned on the Road as he began to approach where the Academy would be. Beginning to drive into the Woods, Markwell started to become anxious. Oh Gods. What would he do once he reached the school? He didn't have Magic or couldn't cast it yet. What's he supposed to tell the Headmaster? Is he just going to have to go back to Dunesville homeless and die from starvation and/or thirst? Is he going to be mocked by the students as magicless if he is accepted? Is-

'CALM DOWN!' A voice told him in his head. Loud and Gruff in tone and heard very clearly by Markwell as he shuddered in his seat. Though it was probably him telling himself, he couldn't help but think how inhuman it sounded. As Markwell relaxed he looked up and in the Mirror near the Window inside the car, he could see that the Golden Car that had been following him...no longer was.

And as fast as the Car disappeared, the Star on the Map began to glow, bright and then brighter with each second. Markwell was at the Academy, and ready for Tomorrow.

At least that's what he thought until he was at an Archway instead.
