Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Chapter Text
Whoa! Not What I Expected!
A threat to the sitting President was always going to bring out the toss the hand grenade among agencies. And this one aboard Air Force One was no exception, with the Secret Service and FBI butting heads over what to do about the President with a dead body right outside his door after he had eaten with him.
And the fact that the body was the ball carrier added to it.
The seconded emergency carrier was a Sentinel out of the DC area and had called the DC head who called the US Head who bellowed to the local military base to ground the plane, get a chopper out to the plane, and get the President off the plane asap. Get the President to the local hospital under military guard and have him checked for a biological agent as a precaution then get him to either NORAD or to DC if he was cleared.
The plane and those on it or who had been in contact with those inside it were to be contained under hazmat conditions till cleared. And the ball carrier’s death was to be investigated by the senior NCIS DC team as he was Navy and the second was also the second in command of the area S&G as an Alpha Prime Guide.
A full Sentinel Guard would be on hand at the plane and on the President from now and until the President was safely ensconced at NORAD or DC. With orders to take out all who try to disobey the orders they have been given for everyone’s safety.
End of Discussion.
As such, SSA Fornell and his full team, along with the full team of Secret Service were forced to be together in tents onsite for not abiding the hazmat rules when a body mysteriously died onboard a plane for no reason and under security. And were now under hazmat clothed base medical personnel undergoing medical procedures to ensure they were also not contaminated.
The plane was lit fully with security lights and surrounded by military Sentinels on guard. All press and flight personnel were now secured in other hazmat tents undergoing their own medical check and being fully vetted with fingerprints onsite and DNA at the behest of Tony before he even boarded the plane with his mate and Gibbs.
His mate was asked to come by the US Primes as the computer and security specialist.
One of the press corps personnel onboard the plane fought against being vetted and was taken down by the Sentinel wearing hazmat gear with a heavy duty tazer then tranquilizer to fully take the man down. And cart him off. He ended up getting first in line for the physical and strip and body cavity search. Which netted them a key buried in an uncomfortable place.
A key that turned out went to the weapons locker onboard Air Force Two.
He, and the Secret Service member who had originally passed him to come aboard (Jr. Agent Caitlin Todd) were taken away for questioning.
Alex set up at the base head tent to do his checks of where exactly the original ball carrier was and order either his live body be picked up for questioning by Ric and his team, or his body be treated as another biological attack if dead and brought into the CDC for autopsy accordingly. And Ric’s team were to treat the body as body zero if so and back track it to get things under control if possible or to see were the contamination happened.
Meanwhile, Tony and Gibbs were fully suited up and doing their jobs inside the plane, alongside the ME sent by the CDC.
And after the body was sent away for autopsy, they headed in to question the Agent who allowed the perp onboard in the first place after she had been cleared of not being contaminated and was in one of the prisoner jumpsuits from the local base.
Agent Todd was in one of the trailers set up for recording her interview in the room set up as a conference room. Two Sentinel Guards on the door and Alex right outside it by the technician. With Gibbs even being a low level one, Xander only needed to talk out the information quietly for Gibbs to hear him and work it into his own questioning. No need for interrupting his flow and break the tension that might break the perp into confessing.
Tony was leaning back and acting like he wasn’t taking this whole thing seriously. Acting like he was playing on his phone as he fed off the emotions Agent Todd threw out everywhere and further knew it would piss her off enough to talk big on what she knew and did. He actually was getting the raw data Alex was feeding Gibbs for his own use. He just had his phone set to play game noises.
All set, game, and match against her as she talked about everything she had done wrong in her entire career in the Secret Service, and, thus, signed her own court judgement for imprisonment with her very words.
The undercover man she had allowed onboard had been a terrorist who had not expected the President’s crew to act as they did about the carrier’s death. He and his people had expected the President and those onboard to be put on the older Two where he would have access to the weapons to take out the leader of the hated country.
He was told, on live tv, to quit watching movies, as they were not real life. Just before he and his cohorts in the whole plan were sentenced to be executed by hanging, then cremation with their ashes dumped across the ocean they were so unclean.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
Alex was working with the yard security this week, so one of the team’s TDA’s (Temporary Duty Agent), Josie Everett, was computer literate. They had lost the team’s last female agent due to her being transferred to her actual posting in Family Crimes as SFAC (Senior Field Agent in Charge). And she had only been with them to get a bit of training for her position. Their other TDA was Matthew Barker, who had transferred in from New Orleans and Gibbs’ friend and Senior Agent down there, Pride, had asked Gibbs to keep an eye on him. Right now, he seemed to fit in well with their dynamics, so they were looking to keep him on the team.
With the majority of security occupied, and Tony getting a call from the Norfolk Base a few hours away, he had the green (figuratively and literally by the way he sounded) agent have the security there cordon off the site. And keep any witnesses there or in an office where they could wait to be questioned.
And called out to everyone to prepare for a long trip out. At the same time, he called in a favor to get a transport chopper to take them out there and bypass the demonstrations going on at the entrance to the base.
He had Matt call in one of the temp agents to drive the truck out to them so they would have something to put any evidence, but this looked time sensitive so they would fly out.
Half an hour later they had landed at the Norfolk base. And rather than having Ducky be driven all the way out there and back, they had the base coroner do the preliminaries on site and bag the body properly for transport out to Ducky and Gerald.
Arriving at the scene, they found the very green Agent McGee keeping guard on the cordoned off area. Gibbs had Agent Everett take Agent McGee out of the sight of the acid destroyed body to question him, while he went to question the movers. Tony set Matt to do photos, while he sketched and marked scale and boundaries.
Then both examined the body with the coroner, while Matt got close-up pictures of the body and the identifying mark on its arm.
Finding out the Armed Forces DNA Registry would be busy for the next forty-eight hours with new intakes.
As Gibbs came out from questioning the movers of the barrel the body had been in with the acid, Agent Everett called in saying they were running a lead at the office on a worker who had been inputting sailor files into the system, but suddenly quit three days ago.
Tony was dusting the outside of the barrel for prints and sent Matt out the check trash bins for any gloves that might have been worn.
Gibbs had already gotten the prints of two who had been assigned to move the barrels, so they could work with those.
And with the bagging of the body, tagging and prepping of the barrels, now dusted for prints, for removal back to the yard’s garage, they were set to move out.
Everett had come back with a no go on the description of the person they were after, as he seemed to have removed himself from the system. But he seemed really interested in the recently departed sub, Philadelphia.
As such, Gibbs has Everett and Barker take the body and evidence back to the yard, while he and Tony flew out to the sub to check things out.

Alex, meanwhile, was testing how alert to subtle cyber attacks of the security systems both cyber and security were. And having malicious fun doing it.
He had already gone through this with the DC branch S&G Center and found them woefully unprepared. Getting reamed for not keeping up with protocols at all. And were even now having to update everything to his satisfaction. And it looked like it was the same here.
And just for extra fun, he started on the individual computers of the so-called cyber “warriors”. Playing merry hell with each computer in a different way for each. After all, wouldn’t want them to cheat the answers now would he.
While their systems were wide open to him, he went on a deep dive to see who else had been playing in this sandbox.
Sending a query up to the boss, Morrow, about why an agent in Europe was hacking through the systems to get information on the yard and its personnel.

Gibbs had called in to the Secretary of Naval Command about the possibility of one of the demonstrators switching places with the dead body and being onboard the Philadelphia, going over the head of the cranky Commander Veitch. And getting permission to immediately deploy out to the sub, which was its way to NATO exercises.
So, while the rest of the team, plus the added driver, were transporting everything, Gibbs and Tony were taking a chopper flight out to the surfacing sub. And a disbelieving commander there.
Gibbs and Tony just had him call General Quarters and manually take a head count of all personnel. And Tony was using Gibbs as a base to stretch his own Guide senses out to find the switch.
Finding him almost immediately from the sickly feel as he seemed to come to deathly decision right as Tony started running towards him. Yelling out for Gibbs to call the chopper back to take them back with the body of the perp, as he had just tried to commit seppuku.
Finding him on his bunk, body still warm, and heart still slightly beating, but with a plastic bag over his head as he had tried to take himself out through suffocation.
Tony ripped the bag off and began CPR on the perp. And had the guards that came with him call for an emergency evac.
The man started to cough, and Tony quit, but knocked him out via his Guide abilities, and handcuffed him to the stretcher he was placed on.
Gibbs yelled at him to go, while he stayed behind to search for anything and wrap things there.

At the hospital, during his exam, the capsule he had ingested in the hopes the sarin gas would go off after his death, goes off in his system instead. Killing him and the nurses around him. And making the room he had been in a toxic mess for days to come.
They found his two co-conspirators who had helped him with the body and getting the sarin. And who were now on the way to GITMO after being charged with bioterrorism, for questioning to find everyone connected.
Alex gave Cyber one week to fix their stupidity and then waited to hit them at three in the morning, then again, a week later at six in the evening. Before he was satisfied, they had gotten off their collective asses and started to do their jobs.
Agent McGee got a minor commendation for his quick work that day and returned to his work at the Norfolk office. And Matthew Barker slid right at home as the third on the team, while Everett transferred down to oversee the cyber office.
And the agent in Europe who had been hacking into the system, one Jennifer Shepard, was detained for questioning by the agency in Rota. Questioned by a Sentinel and Guide team there, and the follow up had all of her conspirator’s henchmen, including Agent Vance and SecNav Davenport, rounded up for questioning as well. With sanctions to Mossad by the Prime Minister of Israel for the egg on his face he got after being reamed out by his own major ally in the US.
