Chapter Text

Amari was playing the new mortal kombat update, which included ghostface to mortal kombat 1, this was where he was beginning to lose

”Oh come on! This is bullshit! He’s a dude with a knife facing gods and monsters?! That’s bullshit he stands a chance!”

But amari couldn’t stop the feeling he was being watched

”man I’m thirsty, I need to go grab some water” Amari said before getting off the couch, but when he entered the hallway, ghostface a

Ghostface appeared behind him, grabbed him by the shoulder and held him in place as he began pulling the knife closer to his chest

”shit! No! I never got a chance to get laid!” Amari screamed before his throat got slit, Amari’s eye’s going dark as he fell to the ground, blood pooling out of the wound on his neck

”let’s hope somebody finds you, or your death would’ve been pointless” ghostface says through his voice changer before walking out of there

the next morning there was a knock on amari’s cabin door

”Amari? It’s me! Emery!” Emery said… to no response

”Come on I know you’re in here! We got a trial to do!”

”If you don’t open this door I’ll just come in there and wake you up!”

”Okay what’s the whole relationship drama I’m watching?” Yronica asks as she walks over

”Oh! Yronica! Hehe this isn’t really a relationship drama! More or less amari not waking up for our trial!” Emery replied

”I see… Hey I got a key to his cabin” yronica replied smugly

”really? How?” Emery asks

”He kinda just left it lying on his porch last night so I grabbed it” she explains

”isn’t that theft?” Emery asks

”Whatever, it’s the mist, who cares?” Yronica asks as she unlocks the door

”Yeah but still-“ Emery goes to say before being cut off by the sight infront of him, both his and yronica’s eyes go wide

”Is that… Amari?!” Yronica shrieked

”Who did this to him?!” Emery said, panicked

“What do we know about his death so far?” Cora asked

“I don’t know! It’s just so unexpected! Like nobody in the mist has any motives to murder people!” Yronica said, still a bit nervous after encountering a fucking corpse outside a trial

“Don’t you and becca literally benefit off people dying though?” Kyle asked

“Shut up Wolfe! Atleast my father didn’t die to a wolf” Yronica angrily taunted

“Why you-!” Kyle went to speak

”Both of you shut up, we have a dead body in the survivor camp for gods sake” Emil said, irritated

“And we still have no leads on the murderer” Cora pointed out

“Do you think the murderer was someone from the killer cabin?” Emery asked

“I doubt that, the killer and survivor camps are separated by an ocean, since the camps are on islands, the killer would’ve had to swim to the survivor camp if that was the case” Emil points out

“And as we can see… there’s nothing in this room moist except the carpet around amari’s corpse, but that’s only because of the blood” Cora adds on

“So what you’re saying is…” Yronica caught on

“…one of the survivors are the killer?!” Kiara said, speaking up for the first time, the group had forgotten she was even there in the first place

“We should get sanjana and kelvin on this” Emery suggested “I mean they’re agents, they should be able to figure it out quickly!”

“So our detectives should be me, sanjana and kelvin?” Cora asked

“Exactly!” Emery said, hopeful they’ll be able to find the killer

“Someone say my name?” Kelvin said as he walked over before he noticed the body “Oh! Uh- that’s not…”

“Yeah, it’s a fucking corpse, welcome to reality” Jun said, now speaking up

“Reality?! Like Reality jump?!” The YOU skin said, coming out of nowhere, which startled everyone

“WHO ARE YOU?!” Cora yelled

“Oh! Silly me! I’m the YOU skin”

“The… YOU skin?” Emery asked confused

“Come on guys… WE’VE LITERALLY BEEN IN TRIALS TOGETHER!”

“Sorry… but I don’t recognise you…” Emil said

“CORA! WATCH OUT!” Yronica yelled as Cora turned around, only to get stabbed in the face as she screamed and the ghostface pulled the knife out of her head before turning to the group

“No more detective!” The ghostface taunted through his voice changer

“You’re sick in the head! It’s all those scary movies isn’t it?! They’ve made you into a psycho!” Emil yelled, mad

“Oh you protesting idiot, scary movies don’t make psycho’s! They make psycho’s more creative” The ghostface taunted before he started running at them, but jun slammed the door in his face

“EVERYBODY RUN!” He yelled as the group made a run for it back to their cabins

Running away, watching their lead detective die, the group knew they were in deep shit, they had to rely on themselves to uncover the slasher

Kyle jumped over a log and hid behind it

”Man… I’m so hungry… I could eat a-“

”Eat a what?” The YOU skin asked

Kyle turned to face him

”Okay what the fuck”

The YOU skin looked like a fucking horse, no literally he was an actual horse

”How are you a horse?!”

”I have my ways”

Yeona walked past, holding hands with Riley

”Oh hey Kyle! and hey… horse?” Yeona asked confused

”Hi Yeona!” YOU replied

”Okay I am so confused” Yeona said

”Yeah me too” Kyle replied

”Wait since when did you and riley start dating?” Kyle asked, on the outside it was an innocent question, but on the inside it was hurting Kyle, since he had a crush on Yeona, Yeona didn’t pick up on the meaning of the question but answered anyways

”Oh! 238 trials ago! Why?” Yeona said

”just wondering…” Kyle said, trying to play off the hurt, so he changed the subject before yeona could get suspicious

”Anyways, there’s this psycho slasher going around killing survivors!” He warned

”Tell me about it” Yeona scoffed

”No, What I mean, is there’s a psycho slasher at the camp with us, trying to kill us!” Kyle said

”So Wren… I mean slasher, got onto the island?” Riley asked

”it’s not him!” Kyle said

”How do you know?” Yeona asks confused

“if it was wren there’d be water wherever he goes! But there’s no water at the crimes!” Kyle says

”Oh so you’re saying it’s one of us doing the killings?” Riley asks

”Exactly!” Kyle says

“But who would be so heartless to kill their allies?” Yeona asks

They all turn to look at YOU

”don’t look at me, I’m a cosplayer not a murderer” YOU says

”who’s died?” Riley asks

“Right now? Amari and Cora got murdered” Kyle says

”and those are the only murders we know of, there could be more!” YOU says

”shit! We should stick together guys!” Yeona suggests

”Yeah! That way we can confirm we aren’t the murderer!” YOU says

And the group of four walks off to warn the others

Kelvin burst into Sanjana’s cabin, where he saw Iris and Sanjana making out

”SANJANA!” Kelvin yelled, startling both the women

”Jesus Christ… Iris babe go wait outside for me please?” Sanjana asked as Iris left

”WHAT?!” She snapped at him, not happy with him ruining her and Iris’s “private time” (yes it was gonna go to them ✂️ eachother)

”There’s a psycho slasher out there!” He says, alarmed

”Tell me something I don’t know” Sanjana groaned

”No, not like that! One of the survivors is killing the other survivors at the camp!”

”WHAT?!” Sanjana yelled, suddenly more serious

”Yeah! They’re trying to kill us all!”

”Who has died so far?” Sanjana asked, concerned and putting her gear on

”So far Amari and Cora” Kelvin answered

”Two dead already?” Sanjana asked

”Yeah, they killed Cora right in front of me and the others!”

”We need to stop them!” Sanjana yelled as she put on her last boot

”That’s what I need you for! To help us find clues!” Kelvin said

”Come on, let’s go!” Sanjana said as she ran out the door, but before leaving the cabin

”Sorry about such notice Iris… I’ll make it up to you, I promise” Sanjana said as she had a passionate kiss with Iris

”Can this happen later?” Kelvin asked, giddy

To which sanjana smacked him over the head

“Be patient, kelvin” she scolded before sighing

”Let’s go” She said as her and kelvin left the cabin with Iris watching

But as Iris went to enter the cabin, she felt she was being watched, she shrugged it off and closed the door behind her, not realising, the ghostface was right outside the cabin
