"Someone has poisoned the host!"

"Quick, call an ambulance!"

"Everyone calm down!"

Shouting could be heard everywhere.

Eiji inagaki doesn’t care, though. Its not like he should, anyway. He’s finished his job in this place, and the last thing is to leave and report the sucessful assasination to Evelyn.

Swiftly, Eiji creeps out of the mansion. Just as he was about to call for a taxi, a man also come out of the mansion.

“HEY! You can’t leave yet. No one is allowed to leave until we solve the murder.”

If it weren’t for the security cameras everywhere at the entrance, Eiji wouldve stabbed the man with his katana there and then. Trying not to reveal an annoyed expression, Eiji manages to smirk and says,

“Oh, sorry. Would you mind just following me? I was just about to call the police because i think i found a clue.”

“Oh? In that case, do lead me there.”

Eiji and the man walk to the garden, where no cameras are present. Without hesitation, Eiji brings out his katana.

“How depressing. If only you weren’t so nosy. Farewell.”

Eiji walked back and took the taxi.

It was quite a long ride.

BANG!

"..

What?"

Eiji stood straight up and looked at his surroundings, trying to recall what happened:

-The last thing he did was taking a taxi.

-the taxi crashed into an apartment.

-he should’ve died from that explosion.

"Am i… alive?"

Eiji looked at himself. He couldn’t see a single scratch on his body.

Weird. 

"Ah, you’re awake."

A voice called out of nowhere, startling Eiji a bit. He turned around to see.. 

"A robot? Who are you? What is this place? Why am i here? Wh-"

"You sure have alot of questions to ask. First, i am an android, and i have a name, its P3-NG. Second, this is our cabin, it seems like you are going to share a room with me. Third, no i did not kidnap you. "

"…alright, peng. What.. are we going to do? Why do we have cabins? I did not sign up for a camping trip."

"..this isn’t a camping trip. We are trapped in an area called the mist. And we are playing the role of killer. So..

..we kill whoever the mist wants us to kill."

"..I do not take orders from anyone other than boss."

"Uhm, boss? I thought you just woke up, how do you know him?"

"What do you mean ‘him’?”

"Oh, you don’t mean that boss. Alright, nevermind. Anyways, we kind of just chill and wait until we get into a round or whatever."

"Uh.. the heck you mean round???"

"…

Looks like i have a lot of explaining to do."

So, that’s it. Once mist seeps into your room, a round will start and you start hunting for people."

"…Really? So you guys just do whatever the mist wants you to do?"

"Not exactly. We get punished if we refuse to hurt our loved ones. (Nathan and yan…..)" Eiji hears him mumble a bit.

"That’s…kind of pathetic. Its literally mist. As i said.. i will not take any orders other than from my master."

"It’s not as weak as you think but..whatever you say, then. I- oh."

A thick layer of white mist seeps into their room.

"Ah. Seems like we’re both going in rounds. Good luck."

"..you too."

The best looping map, the nightmare of killers. (I have so much beef with this map)

"Uh.. a subway. Cool."

Dragging his katana around, Eiji decided to walk around until he found someone.

(Ofc this idiot does not know ppl r literally hiding from him rn)

Its been 2 minutes, and Eiji has been walking around mindlessly.

"Wait, didn’t the Peng guy say we had a phone or something?"

*of course, he is suddenly holding a phone. What did you expect me to say* 

He looks at the chat. Its quite concerning.

Mamo: dude where this killer at

Mamo: were halfway finished with the gens and i still havent seen them yet…

Riley: im bored

Riley: this is not fun

Dakota: fr

Kyle: how r we gonna use our perks(or abilities) if we dont know where this person at

Kelvin: hey imagine its a hot guy

(Eiji disapproved at that message.)

Arlo : excuse me

Dakota : KELVIN WHAT THE HECK

Kelvin: Okk but imagine tho!!

Riley: true…

Kelvin :see

Kyle: riley we gonna have a serious talk after this

Uhm.. interesting! As an emo sleep deprived drugged twink  Eiji doesnt really care and continues exploring the statio-

Ah. Looks like someone is in that room. He doesnt know what to do with them, since he’s still relucant about killing people without gaining Evelyn’s permission, but whatever. He can deal with that problem later. All he wants to do is he how the survivors look like.

(Kyle: RILEY WHAT THE HECK

Riley: I THINK I HEAR THEM 

Riley: OMG IM SO EXCITEDD TO SEE WHO IT IS

——Riley and Kyle pov——

(Kyle) "fuck. They’re coming in. Im gonna place a trap here."

(Riley) "Alright! Can’t wait to see their fa-"

"..You know I can hear you both, right?"

The voice slightly startled the both of them. 

In came a slightly above average young man, wearing a suit and holding a… katana?

(Riley: Kelvin guess what

Kelvin: is the killer hot

Riley: not as hot as Kyle but yes

Kelvin: woahh

Arlo: Im gonna go talk to christoph 

Kelvin: NO DONT PLZ

Kyle: Riley what the heck

Riley : uh

Kelvin: Riley it ok im joy *no ur autism* 

Riley: YAY *i dont know what im writing at this point*)

Riley looks up from his phone. Kyle does not move, but neither does the killer. 

"…" 

"…"

"Why don’t you just come over here and kill us already?"

"Pfft. As if. "

"Wh-what?"

"Im not letting some stupid mist control me. That’s… seriously funny."

"Uh.." Riley and Kyle look at each other. They are (clearly) dumbfounded.

"MAMO COMING THROUGHHHH! GET BOINKED FOR TRYING TO HURT MY FRIENDSS-"

A female voice can be heard from behind. It seems that Mamo has decided to surprise attack Eiji while his attention span was low.

Not low enough, though.

Eiji swiftly held his blade high in the air and immediately downed Mamo before she could even react. 

"..Ah. What a foolish girl."

"WH- You j-just said you wouldn’t hurt us!"

Kyle shouted.

"She tried to attack me. I suppose that is payback for being stupid. I suppose you guys are capable of damaging me too, no? Seems like i’ll have to get rid of you after all, for getting in my way. That, is something i don’t need my master’s permission for."

Looks like its time for Kyle and Riley to run.

—we continuing with riley POV cuz his (and my) bday is coming in 2 days wtf—

Riley  has been in chase for 30 seconds!

The past 1 minute was CHAOS.

30 seconds.

Thats how much time it took for that katana guy to down 5 people.

Riley could feel his heartbeat beating faster each second passing.  He had already used his perk.

So far, he had been looping this guy for about 30 seconds. Yet, this guy would NOT let him go. 

He tried typing in the chat where everyone is in panic.

Arlo: BYE WHY IS EVERYONE DOWNED??

Kelvin : HE IS SO FAST MAN

Riley has been downed.

The man( or twink i say) looked down at riley.

“Not so excited when you get stabbed, huh.”

“Noooo… of course not. Honestly… now that i think of it… who is that ‘master’ of yours?”

“…i will not tell you unless i gain permission, in which i suppose is impossible here.”

“Hmph.. alright. Whatever”

Eiji walks away.

(You know what happens next, with only a healer and a gen rusher not yet downed.)

The mist escape has spawned.

Gabrielle has died.

Eiji is back in the cabin.

Beside him is p3ng, who looks as emotionless as always.

"So, how’d your round go?"

"Uhm… fine, i guess. Those people were trying posing a threat to me so i killed them."

"Ah, so you did kill after all. How.. do you feel?"

"…i dunno. It feels like im just being controlled like a lifeless puppet or s- AUGH!"

"Are you okay?"

"Y-yes. My head hurts a bit."

"You should rest. According to my calculations, humans expericence sudden pain in the head when they think of something or someone unplesant."

"A-alright…"

Eiji lies down on his bed.

The flashbacks.

He opened his eyes. A bright light shone in front of him.

Suddenly, the shadow of a woman appeared.

"Ah! You’re awake!"

A ginger silky haired woman was in front of him.

"Wh-what?"

He lifted his head up and found himself on a … hospital bed? He tried to recall what happened, but his mind was blank.

Giving up, he tries to think of the current events happening right now.

‘I am lying on a hospital bed.

I think i know the ginger haired woman.

Who is the ginger haired woman?’

"Who are you?

Wait, who am i?

..what?

What is my name?

"Ah… looks like they drugged you a bit too much."

"Wh-wha-"

"Oops! Ou heard nothing."

"O-ok.."

"Soooo..! I suppose we should start training you."

"H-huh? Wait, can you please explain to me what is happenning? I- I don’t-"

"Oh. Awh, thats so sad. Alright, i’ll tell you a story.

Once, there was a happy little boy called Eiji Inagaki. He was really hard working and smart, but what he lacked was… let’s say, practice and training.

This Eiji had a brother called Jun. Jun was… a big, bossy guy who wanted nothing but money and power. He abused Eiji and guilt tripped him, saying Eiji was the reason why they were a poor needy family. And so, Junnie decided to join a small little clan, to kill or.. make people disappear.

And when Junnie was called to eliminate his own brother, he didn’t hesitate.

It was a friday night, and Junnie put on a big, bright, fake smile, as he led little Eiji back to his apartment. He then put his brother to sleep with drugs, and let the people in his company destroy the apartment. And Jun was never heard from ever again."

"…

What does that have to do with me? Why are you telling me this?"

"Because you," The woman stood up and pointed at him, "are Eiji."

"Wh-What?! "

"Yes, that’s right. Do you remember your brothers big smile as he led you to your demise?"

That happy face leading him to the door.

No. 

..

So that’s what happened.

"…" Eiji was in shock. He could barely speak.

"Oh, poor little Eiji.."

"H-how am i alive now?"

"Oh, well the story hasn’t ended yet. You see, my company has managed to save you in the nick of time before you faded away."

"…what are you going to do with me?"

"Oh, we ar- actually, I am going to adopt you. I’m not going to leave you here to rot, am I? Hah, im so kind."

"R-really?" His eyes shimmered a bit.

"Of course! At the price of one thing."

"W-what is it? Please, i’ll do anything."

"Anything?"

"..anything.."

"Well! I’m going to train you to become an assassin, and you will work for me. Do not worry though, because i will take care of you."

"A-Assassin?! But.. killing people isn’t right!"

"Oh, no, those you are going to kill are bad guys.

They are people who abondon their friends and family.

They betray their loved ones.

Do you want others to suffer like you did too? Hm?"

"…

No. They.."

"So? Will you join me?"

"Yes." 

‘I will not let anyone go through what i’ve went through.’

last chapter recap: “And Jun was never heard from ever again”.

Before a ​person from one universe meets one from another universe, some strage things happen.

(Aka jun gets some flashbacks… but those arent HIS flashbacks, are they..?)

(Location: mist, Jun Inagaki and Nathan Reyes cabin room)

After kissing Nathan goodnight, Jun went straight to bed.

(Flashback time :3)

Leading a curious Eiji back to the apartment and letting him sleep.

Going out to the park.

Meeting Evelyn.

’what are you doing here?’

’oh, you’re no use of to me anymore. Maybe you shouldn’t have quitted so soon.’

’…Don’t you dare hurt MY Eiji.’

‘Oh, I wont. He.. won’t be with you anymore though.’

Getting killed by Evelyn.

Blood.

Blood everywhere.

At last, he closed his eyes.

(End of flashback)

Jun could no longer sleep.

What was that?

No, those memories couldn’t be his. He’s still alive after all, and they were in the mist right now.

But…

Cole doesn’t know about Evelyn. (And thats the closest person to Eiji he can think of.)

Eiji had a horrible headache.

Betrayal.

That word kept lingering in his head.

"…"

He cringed his eyebrows as a loud and rapid knock on the door came.

(Yeah, im pretty sure that is not Peng) he thought.

"HEYYY! COMEOUT, NEW GUY! CMONN! EVERYONE IS SO EAGER TO MEET YOU!!" An energetic voice of a girl.. who could that be? 

Eiji got up from his bed and opened the door.

A girl in broken chains and blood everywhere… (THATS RIGHT IS OUR QUEEN KIARA GIRLBOSS AND ULTIMATE MATCHMAKER <333 i platonically love her sm)

"Uhm.. hello?"

To Eiji, blood was not a concerning sight, since he’s seen it so much (he got used to it, poor boi).

"HIIII! Im kiara! You must be the new guy! Come on, the party’s outside!"

".huh? What party?"

"All the other killers alongside me, of course! We want to meet you!"

"Uh.. alright.."

"YAYY! LETS GOOO"

And so, kiara tugged his hand and lead him to an empty open space with.. alot of people who look dangerous… and Peng. (He got dragged to this too, of course).

The crowd was talking.

"Ooh, so thats the new guy!" (A black hair guy with green eyes)

"Hey taliyah, where’s the boss?" (The ghost girl)

"Dunno, i think he refused to come." (Another girl with a bunny mask)

"He looks like someone i know…( thats cuz u know him idiot)" (a werewolf)

"Uhm.. hi." Eiji said uncertainly.

"Hello, young man, its nice to meet you." Said a Surgeon. "What is your name?"

"I’m Eiji.."

"..What?" The werewolf guy appeared to be shocked. (Everyone else was too, but not as much)

"Uh.. My name is Eiji."

"…" It was time for Eiji is be startled abit when tears rolled down the wolf’s eyes.

"What happened to you?"

"Uhm, what do you mean?"

"Eiji, why are you hurting people? What did they do to you..?"

"Im sorry, but i don’t think i know y-

You.”

‘Hey, we would never forget each other, no matter what universe we’re in, right?’

What was that? Who was that voice?

Its sounded like the werewolf guy’s voice.

It is the werewolf guy’s voice.

“Have i met you before?”

“Hey, no need to get depressing, not right now!” The ghostly girl said.

“Wha-“ 

“you guys can talk that out later. Im Kiara, by the way!”

“Im Taliyah.”

… and just like that, a meet and greet session started.

This was going to be a long night.

“..So,” Eiji was the first to break the silence, “ .. Have i met you before?”

“..Do you really not remember me, Eiji?”

“Sorry, no..

I lost my memory after an attempte-

Actually.. I don’t remember anymore. I just can’t remember my past anymore. But.. it doesn’t matter.. Does it? 

(No thing matters. In the end, the only thing i have to do is keep on killing.)”

“Ah.. well, you..

Well, the Eiji in my universe is a survivor..”

“..oh? So… he’s also in this mist thing? What is your connection to him?”

“Well.. im his (so technically your) boyfriend..”

“Oh.. I’ve never expected myself to fall in love. H-huh.” Eiji stuttered a bit, but his face still showed no emotion (he was taught not to show emotion as much as possible.) 

“Hah..”

“Well, do you treat him well?”

“O-of course..”

“Good. I don’t want anything bad to heppen to myself…

If i can’t live the life i wanted, then i suppose myself in another universe should,..”

“O-oh. Cool..”

“Well, i’ll be taking my leave. Bye.”

“Bye..”

Oh and Jun is somewhere else

A knock on the door can be heard. Nathan opens the door and finds yan standing there. So, he invites her in.

(We start with Nathan first ofc) "Hey! What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Well… have you heard of the new killer?"

"Oh, the one who people call ‘the assassin’ ?"

"Yep.."

"What about it?"

"Well, i heard from Kyle that the guy is really fast and sneaky and— really familliar apperrantly, but he couldn’t think who the assassin resembled. Anyway, I’m pretty sure you haven’t been in a round with him yet, right?"

"Mhm.."

"Well.. me too.. so I think that w’re probably going to face him next round, since new killer have to meet all survivors at least once before repeating survivors again."

"Oh.. well! Don’t worry Yan, I’ll make sure to protect you."

"Thank you Nathan.. oh.."

They both look at the mist seeping into the room.

"Ah.. its ok. We can do this!"

—round start—

Complete all generators.

Nathan and Yan who both spawned next to the same generator rushed to it and started doing it.

"Hey Yan, did you place your detector down yet?”

“Oh, yep.”

(About 10 seconds later…)

Footsteps could be heard in the distance.

Beep!Beep!Beep!

“..brace yourself. Get out through the vault. I’ll deal with this.”

The footsteps were getting louder.

“Nathan..”

And louder.

“Just go. I can activate my wit’s end.”

And louder.

“…”

AND LOUDER.

“..cmon, Yan..! GO!”

At last, Yan ran vaulted.

And now, in the room was Nathan Reyes and..

The Assassin, Eiji Inagaki.

Nathan had enough stanima to vault and escape.

But he didn’t.

He stood as still as stone.

“..!” 

“..What? I’m pretty sure you’ve seen a ‘killer’ before, tough guy. (Looks like this will be a challenge to take down). “

“..No..no..

That face…

You..”

“..What? What are you implying?”

“..Are you Eiji Inagaki?”

Eiji was a bit startled. As far as he knew, the killers he met were not the type to tell survivors his name, or even discuss about him.

“..uhm.. yes…” Eiji said unsurely.

“…” at this point, Nathan’s eyes were wide open, pupils shrunken to its fullest. 

“Who might you be? You know me, don’t you?”

“..I’m Nathan… I..”

That name rung a bell in Eiji’s mind.

Nathan. 

"Hey, are you Nathan [___] ?" ([] represents a muffled voice or sound, btw.)

Huh? Was that his own voice? It sounded more energetic than now.

"Uhm, yeah.."

And that’s the voice of the person whom he was talking to awhile ago, right?

"Hehe, Did you know my brother has a crush on you?"

The guy, Nathan [_____], had his face turn red.

"A-ah.. really?"

"Yep! (Hehe!)"

Ding Dong! Attention all students! It is now [___]. Please return to your classroom!

"Awh.. I wanted to talk to my brother’s lover more.. ah well.

It doesn’t really matter, does it?

Welp. Byee!"

(And Eiji skidaddled away)

Entering flashback number two..

Huh?

Oh. A Janitor room?

..and a dead body. It appears to be a woman in a blue dress, with brown hair and alot of silver accessories. 

I walk out of the room, seeing a lot of people who appear to be celebrities. There appears to be a few bodyguards wandering around. I suppose they were supposed to protect that woman. It doesn’t matter. My mission is complete.

I walk out of the exebition. A man who appears to be in his early 20s stops me.

A.. bodyguard.. well shoot.

He grabs my hand. I try to make him let go, but he lifts it and inspects the card in my hand.

Of course. I shouldn’t have been holding the womans ID in my hand.

"I’m sorry, but are you supposed to be protecting this woman? She has gone missing. What are you doing?"

With my usual cold tone, i reply,

"…its none of your buissiness. So fuck off."

"Oh? So can you explain the blood smudged on your shoes?"

…

Oh.

Time to make a run for it.

Catching him off guard for a second (idk he just does ok), i make him let go off my hand. I start sprinting to the exit.

"Ah- HEY! COME BACK!" He trails right behind me

The cat and mouse game starts.

I pull out my gun. 

He dodges the bullets skillfully.

Soon after, he pulls out his gun too and shoots at me.

(Some epic fight scene later cuz i cant write fight scenes)

This is so tiring, and its taking much more longer than i thought.

Me? An assassin, trained to kill whoever gets in my way, getting persued by an annoying bodyguard? 

Im not going to let that happen.

..

Oh wait.

That wont happen.

—we switchin POVs yeah—

Eiji suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Just as Nathan thought he had the upper hand, the assassin suddenly pulled out a katana behind his back. 

"Wait wh-"

In a swift motion, Eiji closed the gap between them, the katana plunging deep into Nathan’s stomach.

Nathan gasped, eyes locked on Eiji who stood above him, about to walk away.

Withdrawing his katana, Eiji twitched his eyebrow a bit and said,

“I must admit, you are strong.

..

..it must feel good to be protected, knowing that they will not let you down no matter what cause.

..to not be betrayed.

.. anyways, you should’ve known better. Don’t mess with an assassin next ti- oh wait, there won’t be a next time. Goodbye. I pity you.”

Nathan shakily drew his last breath as Eiji disappeared outside.

End of flashback number two.

Yan walked in to find Eiji and a horrified Nathan.

..

That's weird.

As far as she knew, Eiji was not here with him this round.

Also, his eyes look kind of... ..dead?

Nontherless, that must be Eiji. Theres no way it could be someone else.

with slight hesitation, Yan called out 

"Eiji?"

Well, that alerted her presence.

She thinks she just made a mistake...

Well, that certainly brought both Nathan and Eiji back to their senses.

"What?" Eiji turned around to look at Yan. 

(Tiny flashback

Blood splattered everywhere again [like usual lmao].

A young girl with a white bow and pony tail and a male who appears to be her father both suffered multiple stabs in the stomach)

"…"

Eiji remembered something. He looked irritated now.

"..ohhh. So that was you." He turned back around to look at Nathan

"W-What?"

"Hah.hehe.hehe..hehehhaahahahhehehehehehahahhaahahAHHAHAHHEHEHHAHSHHHAHHAHHAHAHA" (omfg i cringed while writing this line cuz i can’t express maniac laughter)

All of a sudden, the assasin broke into insane laughter. This left Yan and Nathan you shock.

The laughter stopped. Eiji’s voice went from cold to insane and angry-ish. 

"Do you know how much i had to go through after dealing with you and those two stupid people you were protecting? "

"What are you saying?! I don’t know anything!"

"You know, you’re really tough. You wasted so much of my time. I told you. My voice was loud and clear at that time."

He drew his blade.

"I told you. You just HAD to get in my way."

He walked closer and closer.

"W-what is wrong with you?! Eiji?! This isn’t you! No.." Yan was screaming at Eiji at this point, but he didn’t really care much.. or did he?

"Your voice is annoying. Shut the fuck up."

He took a kunai out of nowhere and threw it towards Yan’s head. 

Yan has been downed

"YAN! YOU-"

"I told you. It’s none of your buissiness. IT NEVER WAS.

..now.

FUCK. OFF."

He aimed his katana right at Nathan, and missed by a centimeter.

[Nathan]: I’m in chase with the killer!

..Meanwhile, help has arrived for Yan.

(Eliza POV)

Yan looked terrified, and tears rolled down her cheeks.

I’m really concerned. So i ask, “Yan? What’s the matter? Is the killer horrifying? It’s ok, im with you.”

“I..Nathan..Eiji..He..” She could barely make a full sentence, seems like she was in shock.

“Its ok. Calm down. Breathe in, breathe out. Do it slowly.”

After a few seconds, she opened her mouth, wanting to say something. 

“So? What’s the problem?” I ask,

“..Eiji’s the killer.”

“What?”

“Eiji.. (sniffle).. he.. he’s the new killer. The assasin.”

“W-what.. There’s no way..” how.. “He’s too kind to be one..”

“I thought so too, but this Eiji is.. really.. (sniffle x2) heartless. Whatever happened to him..”

We both frowned. I don’t know what i could do to help..

“Eliza! Yan! Are you guys ok? We have to complete the generators, cmon!”

“Y-yeah, we’re fine”

“..let’s go..”

I guess she doesn’t really want to continue talking about it.

(Back to Nathan and Eiji)

basically just Eiji nonstop yelling slurs at a confused and scared Nathan

Nathan has never seen a killer so angry, having so much hatred for himself before. Not even Peng. Peng was more.. quiet.

He can’t do this anymore. Being chased by someone loved (PLATONIC BCUZ OF JUN BEING MIDDLE PERSON BETWEEN THEM TWO OK), who now hates you for a reason you don’t know..

Eiji’s not himself anymore, is he?

Nathan is about to die. He’s almost out of stamina, and—

The exit gates have been opened.

—Oh.

Luckily for him, he was next to an exit.

Unluckily, Eiji pulled the same trick up his sleeve from a while ago.

He felt a sharp pain in his heart as a kunai pieced though him, making him cough blood from the impact. 

His head felt light. Lighter. And lighter. And lighter. An li—

“NATHAN! HANG IN THERE!”

Oh.

There were people who cared for that Nathan guy.

He got care.

He could feel jealousy rising up.

“Calm down, Eiji, you’re better than this. (Queen never cry)”

His chest still hurts.

But he’s wondering:

Is it hurting because of phantom pain?

Or

Is it hurting because he’s heartbroken?

He’s not the same as before.

Nathan wants to tell the survivor Eiji about him, but he doesn’t really want to at the same time, thinking it’s a bad idea.

Groaning from frustration and sadness (this is way more depressing than the daily angst or sad fanfic he reads ok) Nathan finally stands up and walks out.

There, he sees someone approaching Cole (but he can’t see clearly.)

"Cole! How are you?"

An energetic and pleased tone..

"O-oh! Eiji! Y-you.. oh, wait, nevermind."

"Huh? What’s the matter? Is something wrong?"

"..nothing."

"Oh, is that Nathan over there? NATHAN!!"

He rushes towards Nathan, who back away a bit, in which Eiji was a bit confused of, since Nathan wasn’t the type to decline hugs.

“Sorry..”Eiji mumbled.

Realising its HIS (by ‘his’ i mean his universe’s) Eiji, “N-no! It’s ok..”

Eiji looked at Cole. Then he looked at Nathan. They both looked insecure as hell. What the hell happened? 

He couldn’t just directly ask though, so..

“H-hey Eiji…” Cole asked, “Is it ok if you leave me and Nathan alone for a bit? I’ll be with you later..”

“..ok….”

Eiji walked away.

“…”

Cole looked towards Nathan and signaled him to sit down beside (not affectional ok just bros comforting each other :[ ) him.

“So, you saw..

… him, too?”

“..(slight sniff) yeah.”

“..

Honestly, I’ve never Eiji to be capable of stuff like that.”

“What do you think happened to him?”

“..Dunno. He.. doesn’t remember me, for some reason… also..

His eye…”

“Oh, yeah.. 

He’s barely got any humanity in him left. I also dunno what exactly they did to him, but..

He’s a killing machine.

Also.. he really hates me. I don’t know what the me in the other universe did, but.. It’s pretty heartbreaking to see him like this.”

They sit in silence for a while.

Nathan opens his mouth, “Should we tell Eiji about him?”

“…Everyone else is pretty relucant about telling him. But..

I’ve talked to this Eiji. He’s really.. different.. now.., but.. He sounded really eager to meet our Eiji, and a bit protective….”

“Ah.. well..”

Something is wrong, and Eiji can feel it.

People are avoiding him.

Nathan looked really scared when Eiji tried to put his hand of his shoulder.

(‘I-I.. my heart hurts.. sorry.. I’m going to go back to my cabin…’) (nathan flashback)

Yan, his very best friend, freaked out when Eiji lifted his hand to wave.

(Yan letting out a small shriek. ‘O-oh! Uhm, nevermind.. Hi, Eiji.. uh.. IhavetohelpNamiBye! ‘)

Even Cole, who was literally his own boyfriend, was uncertain and a bit hesitant to talk to Eiji. 

(‘Oh.. hi Eiji…’ Cole looked really sad)

What was happening?

Eiji was worried he’d done something wrong for them to react like this, fear in their eyes.

But what had gone wrong?

Sitting at the corner of his bed, Eiji let out a small whimper as somebody came in.

Jun.

Of all people, Jun (and even his corrupted counterpart) were one of the only people who didn’t treat him any different. In this, Eiji found a bit of comfort.

"Hey lil bro! (Wait that sounded so wrong wtf) Are you okay? There looks like there’s something bothering you. Is it that mutt? I can deal with him. (Stupid furry…)"

"No.. It’s not about Cole. It’s just.. everyone.."

"Huh? Are people bullying you?"

"No.. I just feel like people are.. distancing themselves from me.." Eiji’s eyes were misty now. He’s starting to stutter. "I-I.."

(Like thw wholesome brother he is) Jun pulled Eiji into a hug. "It’s okay, we’ll figure and go through this together. Shh. It’s okay…Cry all you want. It’s a natural human instinct, okay?" 

And so Eiji broke down into tears for the rest of the night, Jun beside him and comforting him this whole time.

Crying is a natural human instinct. 

Not everyone can shed tears, though.

Not Eiji, at least.

You’re just another cog in this killing machine system.

‘Maybe if you could see yourself in another universe, I suppose it would be reasonable to help them.

Training was hell. Getting his daily ‘strength boosts’ were worse.

"Hey, don’t flinch. It’s just a needle."

The nurse said as she plunged the needle with the so called ‘strength boost’ chemicals inside.

"Now, take these pills. You MUST take them twice a day."

"Take the ‘medicine’ already. Just chug it down."

The amount of unknown subtences Eiji consumed was unbelieveble.

Eiji did not feel stronger.

He only felt worse.

He was starting forget his past before the incident and ‘betrayal’.

I can notice the changes in Yan’s behavior. It’s obvious.

I’m not as close to Eiji, so i can’t really talk to him about the current situation..

I don’t think anyone who knows it wants to tell him, so I stay quiet.

But.. This is getting worse.

St. Anne’s Burial Ground

-Round Start-

Complete all generators.

After spawning, I rush to the generator inside the greenhouse. There, Eiji is also on the generator.

I was hoping that he wouldn’t learn about this situation, but I think he knows. 

"Eliza?" He said.

I looked up. He was looking at me. 

A picture of the assassin’s angry face staring at me as i and Yan carry Nathan to the mist gates entered my mind.

Boom!

I think i’m making a horrified expression right now, becuase he’s looking at me with saddness in his eyes.

Fuck. I screwed up.

"Sorry, Eiji I-"

"It’s fine." 

"W-what?"

He stood up.

"You guys wouldn’t stop staring at me with that expression. You all hate me for somehing, don’t you?"

He starts running. I chase after him.

"SHUT UP!" ..Eiji quickly covered his mouth.

That was the first time he had shouted at someone like that.

We’re both at a loss of words.

I felt like i lost my voice.

I probably look stupid, my mouth half open.

"ELIZA! WATCH OUT!"

I turn around. Behind me is Kiara and Yyvonne.

I dodge her attack.

"Whoops! HEY! THAT’S SNITCHING!" Kiara stuck her tongue out at Yyvonne. Then she looked towards Eiji, now preparing his camera.

“OH!! Eiji! Gosh, everyone has been talking about you later, you’re the center of the party!! You know, not even me.. (well fuck. She knows after all.)

No one would’ve guess that you could b—“ Mamo who came out of nowhere quickly shut her up with her bat

“H-huh? What did you say?”

“HEY! Anyways, as I was sa— OW! I THOUGHT I WAS THE KILLER??” Yyvonne smacked her in the head using another bat Mamo gave her.

I walked to Kiara.

“Listen, we may be enemies, but don’t mention it to him. Just don’t. He’s not prepared for it.”

“Thats no funnn…” She pouted.

“Please.”

“We’ll give you 3000 blood gems.” 

“OH? ALRIGHT!”

I turn back to look at Eiji, but he’s not there anymore. Well fuck.

—We start with Kyle POV—

Kyle is in his cabin.

Riley and Yeona open the door.

(Yeona) " Kyle!! We’ve finished our round!"

"Oh, that’s great. Cmon, I’m preparing you both hot chocolate."

"YAYY! THANKS POOKIE!!"

Kyle let out a faint sigh while smiling and shaking his head, before walking to the mini kitchen the Mist gave them, as he poured SwissMiss and hot water into the three of their cups, then added some marshmallows. (Lmao i just had hot choco today) Then, he handed the cups to Riley and Yeona, who were lying on the sofa.

The three of them snuggled together as Riley switched on the TV.

It was pretty boring in the mist. There were only a few old (AS HELL) nintendo games in the TV. But, at least it was SOME sort of entertainment.

After a while, Kyle asked,”So, how was the round?”

(R) “Well, it was a free round. I think Eliza and Yyvonne bribed Kiara for it. 3000 blood gems though? That’s crazy! I can’t believe she’d do that for a single free round.”

(Y)” Exactly!.. Maybe she bribed for something else too.. Welp, who cares? Anyways, we saw Eiji running away looking depressed as hell. 

Riley wanted to approach him and ask what’s wrong, but he pushed him away and said ‘fuck off’! Like, what happened, Eiji’s not the type to say something like that..!”

(K)”..huh..

(Kyle paused for a moment, then opened his mouth.) 

Hey Riley, you know that new killer guy?”

(R) “Oh, the super fast one who downed 5 people in like 30 seconds?”

(K) “..Yeah, Him. I’m starting to think he looks like Eiji..”

(R) “Oh? Well, I’m not sure. “

Level Fail! Try again.

(R) “Awh shucks!”

(Y) “Let’s try again!”

And so, the three of them continued to play mario bros too.

(Heres some additional fluff between these three bcuz i haven’t written fluff in quite a while

(K) “Whew, finally..”

He looked next to him, where Riley and Yeona are both asleep beside him, cuddling together.

I think that’s enough nintendo for today, then. “

Kyle put the both of them back to their beds.)

Outside the window, stood a figure preparing something.

"Eiji is distancing himself from us."

Nathan turned around, and saw Yan with a sad face. 

"What?"

"We can’t deny it. Eiji is trying to distance himself from people as much as possible. "

"(mumbling) why are you telling me this now?"

Yan took a deep breath. Then she opened her mouth.

"…the truth is,

He’s been missing for 2 days.

2 fucking days.

2 days and no one knows where he’s at.

TWO DAYS, NATHAN..!

For the past whole week, he’d been coming back with that dead expression in his eyes, Looking tired as heck, j-just like the.. other Eiji. I-..

..Every time i asked or tried to comfort him, like just asking for him to share what’s wrong, he just brushed me off, saying ‘it’s none of your buissiness’ or ‘i don’t need help’ and even ‘it’s your fault’ and walking away. Like, you certainly need help, Eiji, and what do you mean it’s our fault? And then two days ago he- He just never came back to the cabin. I- I’m worried, Nathan! What can we do?!"

"…"

"You noticed that too, didn’t you? Wait. What if it was our impolite expression that made him feel isolated? Oh shit— We should’ve told him about the other Eiji—Or maybe not—What if—"

"Yan."

"..yes..?"

"We can’t change whatever we’ve done. We can only change what’s going to happen. And we have to help him."

"That’s the problem! I-I don’t know how…"

"Yan.

We’ll find a way."

"…I guess you’re right."

Yan and Nathan just finished a round. It was now their free time, and they were currently in Yan’s cabin, Yan lying on her bed and Nathan sitting on a chair infront of a desk.

(Nathan) "Yan. Can you think of any ways? To help Eiji (or solve the conflict?)"

"…I think.. ..maybe we should talk to him first."

"Yeah. Right.

 He’s not in the cabin right now, though..."

"Well, he’s definitely not in a round right now. That’s for sure.

But there’s no way he got out of the mist.

Maybe we should search from place to place."

"..okay."

-the forest-

"Not here.."

"Is that Cole?"

The werewolf turned around when he heard his name. He stared at the two for a while, and decided to walk to them, slowly but surely. (Also hc they [usually] don’t attack each other when free time)

(Cole) "…Eiji-"

"-he’s missing. We know."

"…"

"We’re trying to find him right now. I suppose he’s not in the forest then, no?"

"..nope."The wolf answered and frowned. "...can i help with the search if you don’t mind, though .?"

"..alright, join us.."

-beach-

The trio could spot the love triangle (dude brenda srsly gotta make them canon their so silly😔) and finley and dakari on the beach (finkari is so wholesome hear me out guys).

Cole walks towards Finley and asks, "Hey, by any chance have you seen Eiji?"

In which Finkey replied,"Nope.."

"I think i’ve seen him walk that way," the trio turns around to hear Kyle’s response, who walks to them, Yeona and Riley trailing behind his back. "You searching for him? We can lead the way." 

"Sure, thank you.."

--and so they walk to a rocky cliff..uh oh.—

(Riley)"He should be around here."

(Yan) "a rock hill? Why would Eiji go here? There’s noone.."

(Riley) "It’s weird! Such a thrilling mystery, I’m a tad anxious, but excited!”

(Nathan)"..Let’s just go. Quick, I don’t have a good feeling about this."

They climb up the rocks to find

Yan felt like she was going to puke.

Yeona screamed. (Loudly. You’ll know why i specified that later :3)

Cole’s heart dropped (so down it’s deeper than hell :[ )

Eiji laying on the ground unconscious with a wide cut on his throat and a knife in his hand.

Blood stained on the rocks, as fresh as the color of red rubies.

This was not the ‘cheap thrill’ Riley was looking for. 

This was not a thrill at all, actually.

“Hey, we heard a—

—scream from here.”

Dakari’s eyes opened wide as he saw the body beside a rock closest to the cliff.

“nNo. NONONOHOWCOULDTHISHAPPEN—“ Nathan rushed to the boy’s side. Thankfully, he was still alive. It seems the mist was not going to let him die. (Oh wait, that’s unlucky but anyway)

The moment Nathan finished his sentence, everyone started panicking.

(Riley)“..How are we gonna tell Jun about this!?”

(Dakari) “ Just wait here, I’m going to get Arlo and my medical supplies!”

(Kyle)”…We could’ve followed him and prevented this from happening.. fuck..”

[finley came and looked at the current scene, before crossing his arms and telling,]

(Finley) “You guys should calm down. He’s not going to die.”

[Cole grips finley tightly]

(Cole) “AND HOW DO YOU KNOW SO SURE?!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN IF MY BOYFRIEND IS ON THE VERGE OF DYING.”

(Finley) “I tri—…

I don’t want to talk about it. Still, he won’t die, trust me..”

Not long after, a nurse and a marine biologist arrived at the scene.

Yeah right, worried that i’m not sorry for what i’ve done?

I just stare at him blankly.

"EIJI?!" 

Oh. It’s Nathan and Yan.

Then came that love trio.

And finally, Arlo, Dakari and Finley.

"Oh, you’re awake! I hope you’re not gaining any symptoms."

"I-what?

Wait—no.

How’d you find me?"

"We followed you. 

Now.

WHY DID YOU TRY TO KILL YOURSELF?"

"I-

Don’t you guys hate me or something?"

They all gasp alittle in response.

"I mean, every single day i just see people stare at me.

Didn’t I do something wrong..?"

Well, not ‘this’ you.."

"We- uh-"

"Guys, let him know about it out himself, when the time comes."

We all turn our heads around to look at Elizabeth, who had just entered the room.

"Bu-"

"It’s best if we do that." She takes a deep breath then turns towards me.

I- well we are truly sorry for adding pressure to you like this, but i think it’s best if you find out the truth yourself.

The thing is, we don’t hate you, okay? It’s about the new killer which i’m sure you’ve heard of at this point."

Huh? What does the new killer jun mentioned has to do with this?

"So.."

"We sincerely apologise for mistake. "

"I think we should give him some alone time. Cmon everyone, chop chop! You should rest Eiji. Your.. wound hasn’t been fully healed up yet."

One by one they exit the room.

Honestly, i’m still so confused. 

At least they don’t hate me..

He hasn’t left yet.

(Dang, he rarely puts on a face like that.)

Riley exits the room.

Huh.

Maybe.. I should just pretend nothing happened ever.

(Day by day, Eiji is getting better and more sane after the misunderstanding was cleared.

How have the past days for him been, since he’s entered the mist?

Let’s dive into his relationship with the other killers pt.1)

Peng: neutral—friends

Eiji did not expect himself to actually get used to life in the mist without anyone giving orders to him, so now he feels pretty bored. Right now, he is lying on his bed because he has never went to sleep this early before. (This and drugs are why this mf has eyebags)

(Oh also he does not noticed how heartbroken ppl/survivors are to see him cuz he thinks their just scared)

"Hey," the robotic voice beside him breaks him out of his inner thoughts.

"Hi," he replies, "do you not need sleep?"

"No, my system does not require sleep unlike you humans. What about you? I notice you only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep, and sometimes 3. That is not healthy for a human like you, you should know that."

"Eh, i don’t really sleep much so i’ve gotten used to it," he sits up straight and looks at Peng. "..I’m bored. Wanna go training?"

"Huh? Train for what?"

"Dunno, i used to train alot back at the place i came from, so i’ve gotten used to it. Hey, do you think they have practice dummies here?"

"Hmm, ok.. I suppose we can try that.." said Peng. 

The two get out of the cabin and walk to the farm, where a few scarecrows are present. (Funny how they have that even thought there are no fucking crops or crows) 

"Those make good practice targets, " Eiji points at the scarecrows," hey, how about we make this a competition?"

".." Peng smirks. "You’re on."

And so the two started mercilessly destroying the scarecrows. (Peng using his laser blade thing whateveryoucallthat and Eiji using his katana)

After a mere few minutes, almost all the scarecrows on the field have been slashed to pieces. The two do a fist bump (for its a tie ) and Peng says "there’s still 2 hours before the mist chooses people to go in rounds," 

"Let’s go jogging, then."

"M’kay."

(They find some path that came outta nowhere for the sake of story development and Yara’s existence)

—Yara small POV—

Ok what the fuck

Why the fuck is Eiji jogging with that killer emo ahh robot in front of me

Also why the fuck is he not wearing glasses i thought he needed glasses

(Yara has not been in a round with K!Eiji yet)

Kiara: Neutral—okay

With Peng gone, Eiji is pretty bored in the cabin. 

"EIJIIII!! HELLOOO!!" The ghost girl barges in and waves to him aggresively.

"Oh hi, Kiara."

"So…! How are you feeling??"

"Uh, fine i guess. "

"Yayy!! I’m happy to hear my fellow killers be happy." 

"Why’d you come here, Kiara?"

"Oh! Hehe," she looks at Eiji mischievously, "I wanna have a gaming party. You know, there are games on the tv we can play! I’ve also invited taliyah and Cole~"

(She giggles at Eiji’s slightly-wider-than-normal eyes when he hears the name ‘cole’. )

"Well.. I don’t know how to play.. Playing is useless and a waste of time. The last time i played was when.. ah. I can’t remember.. (augh my head hurts.. )"

"Dang?! Well im sure you’ll enjoy this!"

"I don’t—"

"Pleaseeee??" Kiara looks at him with puppy eyes, "I’ll get Cole here, okay??"

"..alright." Eiji sighs in defeat as Kiara cheers. " wait, didn’t you say cole WOULD co-"

"LETS GOOO!! TO MY CABIN!!"

Andd he got dragged away by kiara.

(They arrive at the cabin where taliyah waves to Eiji. Not long after, Cole gets kidnapped and forced to come to her cabin)

"YAYY!! LET’S PLAY SOME MARIO BROS!!"

( Eiji whispers to cole. "Forced?" "Y-yep." Cole is flustered on how close they are right now. The two of them did not notice the girls snapping photos of them.)

Bonus 

"DANGITTTT!! How you are so good at this, Eiji?! I thought you didn’t play games?!"

Kiara whines as Eiji chuckles abit.

Everyone goes silent.

“HOLYSHITDIDYOUJUSTSMILE?!!” taliyah screamed loud enough for any nearby killers in their cabins to hear.

“WAIT EMO BO- imean THE ASSASSIN SMILED??” Ye-jun immediately went in their cabin flabberghasted when he heard taliyah. Soon after, Christoph also came in. “My my, did i just hear someone showing emotion after a long time? “

Well, rip Eiji.

“Y-Your smile looks pretty,” Cole muttered, 

“..thanks.” Said Eiji

This did not go unheard by Kiara.)

Alexis and Rat: Neutral (fine)

+headcanon: the rat is twice as small as an adult human so consider it a feral ankle biter who sees alexis as its mother

It was a mid winter’s dawn. After being tasked by Kiara to find alexis, Eiji finds her taking care of a mutated rat who somewhat looked happy in her arms, like it was a child in the arms of a loving mother. (The happy and loving childhood Eiji lost).

"Oh, h-hi…" Alexis who had now noticed Eiji’s presence, shivered a bit before placing the rat down and facing Eiji. "So-sorry that it’s so.. c-cold.. in here.."

"No, i don’t think of that at all." Eiji reassured her. "Anyway, I’m here because Kiara told me to fetch you for her ‘girls sleepover’, in which you said ‘ok’ to."

"Y-yeah.." The Host slowly puts the sleeping rat down. As its fur meets the soft crafted bed, she turns to Eiji, "D-do you mind if you take care of it?" Considering the fact he didn’t really have much stuff to do today, Eiji decided to accept and took the rat to his cabin.

When he got back, it had just awoken and decided to lie on Eiji’s lap when he tried to go to bed.

This was going to be a long night.

(Eiji is fine though. He def did not have sleepless nights almost everyday back outside the mist trust)

These few weeks in the mist have been pretty peaceful, i guess. It feels pretty nice socializing with other people. I was never allowed to do that back outside the mist for privacy reasons, but i don’t think i have to worry about that here, im pretty sure. I can’t believe i miht be experiencing the happiness i deserve, after saving so much people from their cruel and horrible people-

"Fuck. Sorry, i forgot to brush it this morning. i apologise you have to see me like this."

With a slight shocked expression, he replied," Oh, no no! I meant that your messy hair is kind of pretty." He turned his head away as he finished his sentence. Was that a compliment? Ah welp. 

"Thanks. What do you need me for?" I ask him. 

"Well the thing is, I really wanted to take you to.. a certain place." He said deep in thought, Then asked, "so.. are you okay with this?"

Well, i suppose it would be fine, now that i have someone to do something with. So i guess i’ll accept the offer. After all, we’ve now become friends.

For years, I’ve never ever thought of finally having someone i can care for, and them to care for me. The assassin industry is dangerous. No one can be trusted.

And yet..

Here i am now.

I’ve finally gotten to interact with people.

I no longer have to put on that fake mask anymore, do i?

"E-eiji? " oh. 

Looks like i’ve spaced out

"Oh uh, yeah sure, i’ll just get prepared first. After all, my hair is still messy."

I tried to give a sincere smile. Looks like that did not work, because all i’ve ever did (excluding the one time i played.. that game) was fake smiles.

 He looked at me, then laughed out, "Whew! For a second i thought you were ignoring me because you had something else to do. Your smile is really nice. Ah, did i say that out loud- welp- uh- see you outside!" He said as he rushed out to leave me alone.

Welp, guess i have to comb my hair.

-time skip-

Time to meet him.

"Hey," i call out to Cole. "Sorry i took awhile. "Now, where are we going?"

"Oh about that, just follow me. C’mon, lets go!" He said as he pulled my hand and we ran all the way to..

The cliff of a forest?

This place seems quite familiar, but i can’t quite place where i’ve seen it. 

"Well.. I think you know about the other Eiji, correct?" I nod.

"So, uhm.. this is where we meet up, since it’s the area between the killers’ and survivors’ cabins. " he spoke as he let out a faint smile. " cmon, sit down." And so we both layed on the soft grass. I felt my hand disobeying my mind as it slowly reached out and ruffled through Cole’s hair, in which thankfully he didn’t mind about. His hair is really soft, actually.

We stared at the rising sun, and he looked.. kind of sad? Maybe i should try and cheer him up.

"Hey Cole," He lifts up his head and looks at me," Are you the sun? Because you make my day brighter." Hearing that, he chuckles lightly and says "good one,"

//The thing is, Cole could literally feel his heart on the verge of exploding after hearing that, and Eiji somehow is unable to notice :/ //

"Hey, do you think i-" i was about to finish my sentence when i saw him standing beside a tree, eyes wide.

Him.

Me.

"…"

We both stared at each other. 

Feeling the tension, Cole, who was now up, decided to speak up : "Eij-"

"Who… are you-?"

I was about to inspect myself carefully when thick white mist blocked my eyesight, and now i was trapped. 

A round starting right now? Seriously?

"C’mon, apparently its the new killer called the assassin we’re playing against. Surely we can do this."

"Alright.  You focus on the machine while i focus on the surroundings. I’ll alert you if i hear anything. "

The two walk to the machine and started working.

"..not gonna lie, doing machines may as well be better than getting chased by a nocturnal. " 

"..mhm.."

The two continued to finish the machine.

"Ted? Do you ever think we’ll get out of here?"

"It’s ok, Diego. We’ll find a way. I’m sure." Ted gives a small smile and gives Diego a peck on the cheek (to cheer him up)  and Diego giggles a bit as they continue to finish the yellow machine.

Ugh, let’s get this over with.

Stupid mist.. it just HAD to block my sight the second i saw myself. I suppose i have to meet him at some point, don’t I? Gosh.

I hear a ruffling sound behind me and i spot a blonde who appears to be a florist. As i raise my katana and slash at her, i notice a small flower pot she tried to hide from me. Gosh, I’m not stupid and i can see that.. After all, i was trained and i got drugs medicine that (were supposed and meant to) improved my eyesight. According to Peng, that pot can be used to heal a person. As I try to take the pot away from her hands, she trys to hold on to it but due to her lack of energy and strength, I easily take and lift up the pot, which was surprisingly light. Whatever, not that it matters. I decided to throw it onto the floor with force, shattering it into pieces. It kinda of makes me want to laugh when the blonde’s facial expression quickly turns to shock and despair. Pathetic.. 

*Bang!*

What wa- oh right. A failed ‘skillcheck’. Seems like it came from the top of that building..

Let’s see who’s next on my killing list.

As i walk towards up the ladder(stairs? Idk), I suddenly wonder, 

Why am I doing this?

"Okay, thankfully this thing didn’t explode, unlike the first time i tried to touch one.." he frowned, rethinking of that terrible accident as Ted let out a small chuckle.

"Come on Diego, you’re not that bad. Let’s go! I think I see a generator up there. Stay closely behind my back ok?"

"M’kay."

The two stick to each other closely as Ted takes the lead, slowly going up the ladder(or stairs isdk)

Suddenly, Ted stops. Diego bumps into him.

"Huh? Ted?" But Ted doesn’t answer him. 

Diego looks in front of him.

Ok maybe its time i write a long chapter

Rain bagins to pour heavily onto the building.

On the building, stood three people. The photographer, the quaterback, and the assassin.

The assassin slowly walks closer and closer to the siblings, dragging his katana across the concrete floor, creating a high pitched screeching metal sound as the katana glimmered in the dim light. As he got closer and closer, his silhouette became bigger, covering the light reflected to the floor which was now wet.

"S-stay back from me and Eiji!" Jun defensively says.

He watches as the Quaterback stands in between him and.. well, himself.

There’s fear (and newly found shock and horror)  in both of their eyes.

This is the new killer everyone has been talking about.

This, is the Assassin.

Suddenly, Eiji understands why everyone was so afraid of ‘him’.

The assassin stops in his tracks.

"..You are.." He stares blankly at Jun. "… Jun..Inagaki..?"

Jun slowly nods. Eiji holds his hand tighter.

He was.. holding his hand the way he held it.. like that Friday night…

((Small eiji pov))

No.. why is he with this monster?

He doesn’t know what Jun has done to me, does he?

..I can’t let this go on.

I will not let myself suffer the same fate. 

Within a millisecond, He lunges at Jun mercilessly in full speed, aiming at Jun’s head. Jun ducked,

But Eiji was too slow.

"YOU…" The assassin freaked out a bit when he realised he had almost stabbed ‘himself’, the katana tip was on centimeter away from piercing the younger’s eye. Eyeballs are delicate stuff, and that would take a month for the mist to help fully heal. "..THIS IS MY ONLY WARNING. STAY. THE. FUCK. AWAY. FROM," He lunges at Jun again, as Jun activates his perk, "ME!!" The assassin screams at Jun with full anger, breathing heavily as he tries to control his breath, 

But he can’t.

This is the moment he has been waiting for so long.

To get revenge.

To protect himself.

Never let this monster ‘hurt ‘ anyone else ever again.

In an instant, Eiji resurged foward, katana aimed directly at Jun’s midsection. In a desperate bid to protect himself, Jun dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the lethal strike as Eiji’s blade sliced through the air where he was moments ago. His clothes strached across the unflat and slightly bumpy surface, and it slightly teared it skin apart, revealing bruises and scratches made from hard surfaces like this. He restood and shouted, "Eiji, why are you doing this?!"

"How about you answer that yourself, you piece of shit?!”

"I don’t know!" (The relentless attacks continues as eiji’s strikes become more and more aggresive,) "What did i do wrong?!"

"You abused me. Bold of you not to remember!"

"I-I don’t know.. how i could i do something like that?! Eiji, I-"

"ShutupshutupshutUP! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

"Calm down! Eiji! Please!"

"Calm down? CALM DOWN? You turned me into this. And you’re about to do that to me again, aren’t you?!"

"Wh-what?!"

"You will always be the same in every universe. ‘Aggresive and abusive’. You will never change. Ms. Maurelle was right!I WISH YOU WERE NEVER MY BROTHER, JUN. I WISH I HAD A BETTER BROTHER. I HATE YOU SO MUCH. PLEASE, JUST.. DIE!”

Jun stopped and stumbled back, surprise flickering in his eyes. His own brother.. …hates him? (This now made him Heartbroken and shocked)but something doesnt’t make sense:

"Evelyn? H-how do you know about h-" before he could finish, Eiji knocked Jun down who fell onto the hard floor once again.

Eiji stands on top of Jun, anger and all sorts of strong emotions palpable in his eyes. Water streams down Eiji’s face as it drips and falls onto Jun’s. Jun couldn’t tell if it was rainwater or Eiji crying, his vision obsured by water. The assassin grabs his shirt as he speaks in a whisper-shout.

"..hah…you..

You ruined my life. Is that not enough? You’re about to betray me once again, aren’t you?

I won’t let this happen twice. 

I will not let myself suffer the same fate again.

Never. Ever. Again."

He said, as he delivers a hard punch targeted straight to Jun’s face. But he missed, and his fist crashed into the ground. 

He didn’t feel pain, though, even though blood was streaming down his hand to the floor, spreading around as it mixed with the rainwater.

"Please—! Stop!" The two turn their head around to the photographer, who was now prepared with his camera as he flashed the assassin. 

"AUGHHHH! M-MY EYES..!" The assassin groaned as he tried to cover his eyes.

The flashing light reminded him of the times he spent in the hospital, the large amounts of ‘medicine’ he consumed, as his left eye was stung with pain from the bright light.

Taking the chance, the photographer lifted Jun up as they scurried to a vault, where Ted and Diego were now standing by, as the four were prepared to jump down.

"Wha- are you sure we won’t break our bones?!" Ted was unsure about that idea.

"Trust me, we’ll get caught by the mist when we fall. Before ‘I’ get up we have to-"

Too late.

A kunai went straight to Diego, stabbing him in the stomach as he moaned in pain. 

"YOU’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE,"

The assassin surged foward.

But this time, he wasn’t using his katana.

He roughly grabbed the photographer by the shoulder as the four were about to jump down, the blood from his hand now stained onto the photographer’s scarf. Well, everyone except Eiji was on the floor.

"N-no.." Jun tried to look up and see what was happening, but the rain blocked his sight. "I f-failed to protect him.. please..no.."

He could only hope for the best now.
