Chapter 1: A Sea Disappearance

A 5 hours before the disappearance …

“Ahhh finally vacation time”

A young red haired woman said to herself as she was getting ready to go onto a vacation she’s been waiting forever for, the girl’s name was Julia whose was actually a well respected dragon type trainer in her home region of Galar and became champion about 3 years ago after defeating Leon.

She decided that she wanted to take a break from her region for a while so she planned out a vacation when she heard about a ship called the SS Sliversteed which was gonna go on a 3 month trip across the ocean to the Alolan Islands which is a place she has never visited before. The Sliversteed was actually this huge cruise ship that’s funded by the Rose corporation and she decided why not a better time to take a vacation but on that ship.

It was planning to dock at the Hulberry town’s docks for passengers in about 2 hours from now. But for right now, she was packing what she needed for the trip like a few clothes of hers, bags, three Pokeballs (just in case), sunny-day sunscreen, towels, and of course her ticket she brought for the ship in advance.

After she finished packing about 3 bags of her stuff she decided to call her friend/old rival/professor assistant Hop who was busy doing some research project in the Crown Tundra. She grabbed her Rotom phone from her dresser on the side of her room and called his number, which the phone came to life and floated up to her face. “Heya Julia how are you doing?” Hop asked excitedly as his face appeared on the phone.

“Hey Hop nothing much just packing up my things to go onto that 3 month cruise ship I’ve told you about” she said back to him.

“I really do hope you have fun on your vacation to the Alolan Islands, I would’ve came with you but I have a research project I am helping Sonia with at the Crown Tundra” Hop say’s back sadly.
“It’s okay Hop and yeah thanks I hope to enjoy the vacation a lot” Julia says back excitingly.

“Anyways Hop I gotta go right now so I wish you good luck on whatever that project you and Sonia are working on over there” Julia says as she waved goodbye to her friend Hop and promptly turned off her Rotom phone.

Julia put away her phone back into her pocket and started to get her three bags (one suitcase and the two other ones are duffel bags) and started to leave the entrance of her room and into the kitchen to where her Mother was washing some dishes near the sink in the kitchen.

“Hey Mom I am getting ready to go to the cruise right now” Julia said to her Mother. “Ok honey I hope you have a wonderful vacation and don’t worry I’ll take care of Cinnamon for you” Julia’s Mother said. Alright on cue a cute little Appletun came running into the kitchen from the living room to say goodbye to Julia and which in turn knelt down and petted Cinnamon on the head.

“Okay I am actually leaving now, goodbye Mom and Cinnamon” Julia said as she opened the door and gave a small wave back to both her Mother and Cinnamon before closing the door to her house.

Julia’s plan now was to ride personal favorite dragon Pokémon she has which is a Flygon named Red down to Huberry town to the docks to where the ship is docked for the best 3 hours, she went a few blocks away from her house to a open field in one of the routes here tall grass and also avoiding any encounters with wild Pokémon hiding in the grass so she avoided that.

After reaching the small patch of grass, Julia started to pull out a Pokeball of or her pocket and through it in the air.

A red light shot out of the ball and materialized into a large green dragon who appeared right in front of her and a happy one at that, “Hey Red how are you doing?” Julia asked as she petted the Flygon who gave an excited “Fly” in response and rubbed his head into her.

“Yeah Red I am doing good, I just need you to carry a few bags and carry us down to a Hulberry town so we can go to that cruise we’ve been looking forward too for a while” Julia said to her Flygon while pulling out a saddle out of one of her bags. This saddle she pulled out is actually one of those carrier saddled people use on flying or dragon type Pokémon down in Alola that she got from a friend of her’s as a gift from them down in Alola a couple of months ago.

“Okay Red now I just need you to hold still while I strap this around your wings and shoulders” Julia said as she started to strap the saddle in a x shape around his upper torso. “Good boy Red I hope your okay with carrying a bit of extra weight” Julia teased as a challenge to her Flygon as they both eyed her three bags on the side of them and he gave a affirmative “Fly Fly Gon” as in say in “I accept your challenge.”

With Red’s consent, Julia then started to attach her bags to the sides the strap provided because it also doubled as a way to carry bags too and plus Red could use the exercise. After all was said and done, she started to get onto the Flygon’s back “alright Red let’s go” she started as Red finally leapt up into the air and started to fly off.

(About 40 minutes of flying later)

Both Julia and Red actually lands a few blocks away from Hulberry town on one of the routes leading to the town actually, they did this because it would be easier to just walk over to the ship and not make some huge entrance because she didn’t want to get mobbed by a crowd of people because of her champion status.

Anyways both Julia and Red walked down one of the routes leading to the town while also avoiding any wild Pokemon in the grass around the route. They did that for about 10 minutes before they were finally able to leave the route and enter the town’s entrance.

They entered the town and started to walk down one of the streets down towards the Hulberry docks which was right next to the lighthouse, Julia started to unattach her bags from the sides of Red’s legs and called him back to his Pokéball because she could walk by herself from here on.

She saw the ship near the docks when she was walking down them and the ship was way larger than she was expecting. It was a blue and white cruise ship with the name “SS Sliversteed” written in large words at the front of the ship as she took in the size of it.

After she was done taking in the size of the ship, Julia started looking around and saw a really long line leading to a small ticket booth on the other end of the dock to that led to a ramp leading upwards into the ship were she also saw people and Pokémon going up it. She figured that this was gonna be a really long wait.

(About 20 minutes of waiting later)

“Uhhhh hurry up” Julia complained to herself as she has been waiting about 20 minutes behind other people and their Pokémon, some of which wanted a autograph from her which was a bit annoying but she couldn’t ignore fans of hers.

She checked the line in front of her and noticed that she was actually two people behind the booth in the front and so she prepared her ticket to give it the person at the booth.

She waited for about 5 minutes before it was finally her turn to show her ticket, she heard the person behind the booth yell out “next” and so she was finally in front of the booth.
“Ahhhh champion Julia welcome!” The person called out to her when she gave them her ticket. “Oh hello” Julia said back to the person, “let me just say but we at the SS Sliversteed are absolutely thrilled you choose to come on board our ship that we’ve actually set up a personal sweet section of the ship for you”.

The guy started to look behind their desk for a moment before taking out a small booklet from behind their desk and giving it to Julia. “This here is a small map that will show you every location on the ship and the directions to that personal sweet we’ve I’ve told you about, consider it a welcoming gift for a celebrity like you”. Julia was kinda a bit shocked that she just came in to give the guy her ticket for the Cruise and here they are giving her an all exclusive sweet on the ship just for her.

Took her a moment but she eventually found her words to say “oh wow thank you so much! I wasn’t expecting this at all but still it’s quite shocking to me still” Julia laughed a bit before taking the small booklet out of the guy’s hands and waving them bye as she walked away. She walked down the bit of dock that was left and finally reached the ramp that led onto the ship which she started to walk upon.

After a moment of walking up the ramp, Julia reached an entrance hallway that led deeper into the interior of the ship. She had to be honest she liked the blue and white coloring on the walls with the reddish looking floor the interior was designed with, with painting on the walls too.

Anyways she walked down the hallway that opened up to something she was amazed by, the hallway opened up to a large plaza like area with three floors that had both escalators and elevators leading up to each floor.

It reminded her of how any type of mall would would look like but on the inside of a boat. The second floor looked like a shopping district because it had all kinds of stores from gift shops, item shops, clothing shops, and even a small food court area in the middle so people can go eat over there whenever they’re hungry.

The first floor looked more towards for both trainers and Pokémon themselves because it had a noticeable Pokémon center in the middle of a few item shops and to stations she heard about from the Paldea region a week ago. It also had a rather medium sized battle field for battles and even a playground designed specifically for Pokémon that was called the Pokepark (which was not at all a little reference to something she has never heard about).

Anyways she saw a small reception desk right in the hotel with a woman behind the desk who was probably the receptionist for the hotel.

Julia walked over to the desk and said “uhhh hello I came here to check in” Julia said to the receptionist. “Oh welcome champion Julia we’ve actually been expecting you when you decided to come aboard our beloved Cruise and also the guy told us you were here beforehand” The Lady said as she opened up a small cabinet behind her desk and pulled out a set of keys from it.

“Here is your key for your exclusive hotel sweet we set up for you and it’s located two floors up so you can take the staircase over there, we hope that you enjoying your stay on the SS Sliversteed” the woman said as she gave Julia the keys for her new hotel room. “Oh thank you so much and yeah I hope to enjoy the ship too and also the Alolan Islands eventually” Julia said to the receptionist as she took the keys from her and started to walk up the stairs on the left of the desk.

Walking up 3 sets of stairs, Julia eventually reached a hallway full of rooms. The lady told her that her room is numbered 307 which is where her room is which see saw was actually town the hall a bit.

After walking past a few rooms and people in the hallways who wanted to say hi to her, she finally reached room 307 at the middle of the hallway. She inserted the key she had into the door and opened the door to the room, the room itself was actually quite large for a small hotel room but it had a really nice red and orange color on the walls with a few paintings on some of the walls to that showed a beautiful sunset on a beach which she can only guess was supposed to to depict one of the Alolan Islands, a small kitchen area, and a single bed in the middle of the room.

The room also has a balcony area too which she thought was the best part of the room to be honest. It was actually when she decided to check out the balcony that she heard a ding in the room behind her for a moment before a voice came out. “Attention everyone onboard we this is your Captain Johnson of the SS Sliversteed, me and the staff are happy to announce that we’re finally gonna set sail on are planned long 3 month trip to the Alolan Islands and our staff here on the SS Sliversteed hope that you all have a amazing stay on our beloved cruise as we finally start our journey” the go is said as the boat finally started to leave the docks behind.

There was another ding as the announcement ended and the ship has finally set sail into the open seas.

“I am so excited for this trip” Julia said excitedly as she pictured her 3 month trip and couldn’t wait what the ship offered (though she will never experience that excitement). After she said that Julia threw all three of her bags on the bed and started to open they up to take out her clothes, towels, Pokeballs, and other things.

After she finished unpacking her things and putting it around her room like the Pokeballs on the table next to her, her clothes in a small closet next to her new bathroom, she also put the towels she brought into said bathroom.

Eventually though she decided to go check out the rest of the cruise ship had to offer herself because she didn’t have anything better to do, with that she walked over and walked out of her door.
She then locked the door behind her and decided to go check out what the second floor had to offer with those shops she saw on her way into the ship at first.

As she started to walk down the hallway though she suddenly heard a voice just out of nowhere. “Oh hey excuse me miss!” Julia jumped a bit as she heard a random deep sounding voice call out from the behind her in the hallway. She immediately turned around to see some kind of 20 something year old man behind her on the other end of the hallway she just was in.

Quickly composing herself she answered the guy “Yeah sir? you need any help with something” she asked the the guy she was now seeing. Speaking of the guy he looked really strange like weird clothing, messy looking hair that actually was way longer than it should’ve been for a normal looking guy and Julia herself started to feel a bit uncomfortable around the guy.

“If you don’t mind me asking but are you Champion Julia right?” The guy asked me. “Yeah I am” Julia responded to the guy confusingly, the guy still just felt so weird and creepy to her because of how she looks.

“Oh good becaus-“ the guy said as he suddenly grabbed Julia by the shoulder and threw her into the wall on the left of her. Shocked she now had a hurting head from that hit as she stumbled back and fell to the ground holding her face as it hurt. The guy then leaned knelt down onto one leg, grabbed Julia by her hair, and made her look into his eyes as they somehow started to turn pure yellow for some reason.

“Hey let go what the hell!” Julia yelled out at the guy as she started to fight against the hand holding her hair. “Let go of me you-yo-“ she couldn’t finish what she was saying as somehow looking into the guy’s eyes started to make her feel dizzy on the inside until she just fully passed out as her body fell onto her side on the floor.

(Stranger’s pov)

The girl stared into my eyes into a moment before finally fainting onto her side with an audible thud onto the ground in front of him.

“Pathetic thing, and this was the one that he foresee himself getting stopped by?” He laughed to himself because she was nothing by a pathetic weak human. Though if she is the one to stop him though he will do everything in his power to prevent it”. Making sure no one was watching, the guy started to walk over to the girl’s leg and grabbed it with his hands and saw that the girl’s room was still unlock thankfully.

He pulled the unconscious girl back into her own room and again making sure no one was in the hallway, he closed the door to the room. The man started to glow as his entire body began to glow blue and instead of a man standing there, it was instead this darkish-greenish looking tall squid looking thing as the blue light faded out.

A Malamar… but something was off about it.

The Malamar stretched his tentacles out as he finally was able to get out of that weak human form. “Uhhhh I hate those wretched humans so much, even their bodies was just disgusting to be in” the Malamar said in disgust as their human form finally faded away.

He took a light blue stone off from his chest and put it away in his hair of tentacles somewhere until using his psychic to call out to someone “-Hoopa can you hear me?-“ the Malamar said in his mind as he called out to someone. “- Yes Master I’m here in the walls-“ the Hoopa said back out to him, “good we’ve finished our business here in this world so I need you to create a portal back to our world quickly before any more of those humans discover us-“ the Malamar said that as a command to the Hoopa.

Getting the message the Hoopa came out of one of the walls inside of the room the Malamar was in, but this Hoopa had a strange dazed out looking expression in their eyes. Next he threw one of his ring portals in front of them which led into a really ugly looking place on the other side.

“Good job Hoopa, that spell I made to upgrade your ring portals for dimensional travel is working wonders” the Malamar said to the Hoopa floating in front of them”. “Thank you Master, what about the human thought?” The Hoopa asked the Malamar to which the Malamar grabbed the unconscious girl’s leg again with one of his tentacles.

“We’re bringing her with us because I can use her” the Malamar has heard from a bunch of rumors of how humans who come into their world have these strange powerful abilities that other Pokémon have thrown around for years with no such real evidence, he’s also heard that whenever a human crosses over into their world they also take on the form of a Pokémon too and so he wanted to test out that theory.

He started to move towards the portal while dragging the unconscious girl behind her by her leg, until he literally just threw her body right through the portal (he was correct about that second rumor after all).

Immediately going through the portal the girl’s body started to glow over the body with a more golden light than the one he used before and now instead of a unconscious human girl on the other side of the portal, it was instead a unconscious Noibat on the other side of the portal instead.

“Hmmmm interesting, so that part of the rumor is true after all”. The Malamar finally crossed over the portal himself as he told his Hoopa companion to close it behind him, finally putting that wretched human world behind him.

“Hoopa please go toss this unconscious Noibat into the cell in the bow of the ship please, we have a long day of fun tomorrow” the Malamar told the Hoopa. “Yes Master” the Hoopa started to float over to the unconscious Noibat on the cold wooden floor, opened a ring portal that led into the mentioned cell in the bow of the ship, and tossed the unconscious Noibat in there with all of his strength.

The Malamar is gonna have a lot of fun experimenting on their new guest tomorrow morning….

Chapter Text

It has been a couple of hours since Julia as been knocked unconscious by some strange man back in the hallway of the ship she was in…

The unconscious girl finally started to wake up after a couple of hours, “-ughhhhhhh-“ Julia groaned inside her head as she finally started to get up finally hoping that whole encounter with that strange man was just a dream.

“-What the hell happened? First I decided to just take a simple walk around the ship because I was bored and immediately when I entered the hallway, than some random creepy looking guy comes out of nowhere, throws me into a wall, and then grabbed my hair up to his face and his eyes started to glow like how do you even explain that logic!-“. After her little episode, she started to open her eyes hoping that after waking up she would still be in the cruise ship’s room she was staying in and that whole encounter with the strange man was nothing but some weird nightmare.

She couldn’t be more wrong about that…

Instead of waking up in her room on the ship with beautiful paintings and coloring wall coloring, she instead woke up to find herself on the floor of a old dungy looking prison cell in with wood on both the walls, ceiling, and floorboards. “-Wait where in heck am at?-“ Julia said confusingly as she looked around the decrepit looking cell she now found herself in.

Julia looked around the room for a moment before noticing how the bars to her new cell room actually looked way bigger than even she was and she knew for a fact that something was wrong with her and that started to make her worry a lot.

Trying to stand up, she oddly found herself in a very odd posture almost like her body felt wrong in a way, though with some effort she got herself clumsily onto her feet and then she knew for a fact that the bars were definitely taller than even she was.

Actually another thing she realized was that she couldn’t really feel the long hair she had at all running down the back of her head, starting to worry she was about to put a hand up to her head to check around her head before she saw her arm…

It was definitely not a human arm for a fact..

Now she knew for a fact something was definitely wrong, she started to look down at her body. Looking back down to her once human arms were nothing but tiny purplish colored bat wings with three tiny claws in the middle of them, she then looked down and her feet were now way shorter and longer which were also covered in purplish fur that led up to her new non-existent legs to her new way smaller haunches were were also covered in dark fur, lastly she felt around the top of her head and one she noticed she now longer had her long hair ad two her ears were now directly on the top of head now instead of the sides of her head and also felt way bigger now.

In full panic mode now, Julia started to look around the cell she was now in to see if anything was in it that could show her reflection. Oddly she actually found a half broken glass mirror on the rightmost side of the cell she was in and quickly walked over to it to see… that she was definitely no longer a human anymore.

her eyes widened as she saw what she has now become... a Noibat.

First she started noticing her before mentioned ears feeling way bigger to find out they were both now large bat like ears placed directly on the top of her head. Moving closing to the mirror she saw move of her new face, specifically her having a way larger mouth jaw than before with little fangs replacing her once human teeth, tufts of light purplish fur all over her face though interestingly she still had a bit of her old human hair color and shape on her forehead for some reason, her nose was now way bigger shape and was now colored purple, and lastly both of her eyes were now way larger than they should be and way more closer but they also strangely kept her normal human styled eyes instead of the regular Noibat colored eyes. One more thing should noticed too was that she actually had a small Noivern tail right behind her too which for a fact was definitely different.

After looking at hew new Noibat body, she promptly led out a loud "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" when she started to freak out after seeing her new body. "What in the world is going on!? Why in the hell am I now a Pokemon?" she yelled out absolutely frightened by somehow finding out that she was now Pokemon and started to hyperventilate.

“Wait a minute if i woke up her as a Noibat of all things, then that should mean that this is a dream right?" Julia asked herself as she started to come down a bit from her panic episode and started to think of a reasonable answer to how she could be a Pokemon now. "Hmmmm if this is a dream than and i am now a Noibat, i could easily prove that thought by simple hurting myself somehow and i should just wake back up in my hotel room on the cruise ship".

She started to test out her new theory that this could all simply be a dream she was experiencing, so she looked behind her at the new tail she now had and moved her new wing arm to grab the tail behind her with her claws, moved it up to her new mouth and promptly bit into her new tail with the new little fangs she now had. She was expecting to simply just wake up in her bed but instead got a bursting pain from her tail that made her let out a high-pitched yelp as she fell over onto her back from the bursting pain she now had from her backside, " OWWWWWWWWW!" she yelped as she struggled to get back up after falling over from the pain she now had coming from her tail which was also now crushed underneath her small body. "Quickly acting she rolled over onto her stomach to avoid crushing her hurting tail anymore and just laid there until the pain in her new tail settled down a bit.

After accidentally making herself look like a fool she pushed herself back up onto her feet with her wings and walked over to a small dark corner in the cell she was in and sat down making sure not to sit on her tail looking saddened, "ok so this is definitely not a dream at all, but how in the world am i now a Noibat?" Julia started to cry a bit after facing the reality that this was indeed not a dream but she was now a small Noibat stuck in some dark dank looking cell in god who knows where.

Covering up her face with her wings, she sobbed silently in the corner for a few seconds and unable to come to terms of what she was now experiencing.

…

…

After a couple of minutes of crying in the corner she was in, Julia started to calm down a bit from crying so much and found herself coming to terms with the new situation she now found herself in because like what is crying gonna do.

"Ok so I’m a Noibat now huh? Guess that’s kinda cool to be honest” Julia said to herself as she started to get up and looked back into that shattered mirror on the left side of her cell. She had to admit was actually one of her favorite Pokemon back in her world, she did raise one into a Noivern back when she was trainer in her old world so she knew a few things about them that should be useful in understanding what her new body can do. Also plus so finding herself as one now was kinda a bit exciting though to be fair, she started to look around her face again which she again noticed that she still had her human styled eyes and a bit of her old red hairstyle mixed in with the purplish fur on her forehead which she found weird to herself but at least she kept some semblance of her past human self. She also looked back at the Noivern like tail behind her which again she found weird because Noibats don’t normally have tails like this and not until they evolve into a Noivern, though she guessed that made her even more unique in a goof way. Starting to get up from the corner she was in before, Julia wanted to test out walking on her new feet again and she had to be honest but it was definitely harder to walk around on how thin her new feet were and she wobbled around a bit but eventually got the hang of it. This decided this had to do for now until she could eventually try flying around with her new wings.

She actually kinda wanted to try and see if she could climb on walls that she saw her previous Noibat Pokémon do when she was still raising one. She walked over to the nearest wall in her cell and looking at the small claws she had on her wings, dug them straight into the wooden wall. To her expectation, her claws perfectly clang to the wall and so she started to dig her other claw into her other side of her until she pulled herself a bit off of the ground.

She started to climb upside the wall in a rhythm until she was actually about a foot off of the ground she was previously on until she started moving up to the ceiling of the room and scuttling around the ceiling for a bit like she has been a Noibat for her entire life.

After she was done testing out climbing on the walls, Julia started to unhook herself from the ceiling before eventually falling back the ground with a audible thud. After falling back to the ground of her cell she now moved to the more important thing right now, she needed to find away out of this small cell she was in. Julia started to look around her cell to see if there was any way out of it and she actually did see a lock door with a huge bolt covered look on a chain holding the door locked, "ok so that door is not a option at all and I'm too big to even fit between those bars either".

She was pondering how she could possibly get out of the cell, a door she forgot to mention started to creak open on the other side of the large room the cell was in and what came in confused her down to the bone.

It was both a Quilava and a Salandit but they both had bandannas over their heads and a really dazed out look in their eyes that which definitely freaked Julia out a bit like they haven’t slept in days.

“So this is where Derge said he threw in that human be kidnapped last night?” She directly heard that Quilava just talk in English! “What’s so special about this human anyways?” The Salandit said to the Quilava before looking up at the Noibat in the cell who had a really confused expression on her face.

Julia who already has taken in a lot was now reasonably screaming on the inside as now she had to deal with the fact she was standing in front of two Pokémon who can both talk in English?! Julia slapped herself in the face with a wing to make sure she was still not dreaming, unfortunately this was still all real to her.

Understandably she fell over herself a bit when she saw the two Pokémon in front of her until one of them noticed her and started to say “oh hey Drage looks like they’re actually finally awake” The Quilava said to his Salandit friend as he saw the small Noibat react to them talking.

“Come on O’light, the captain said to bring her in the case she woke up” the Salandit named Drage reminded the Quilava, “oh yeah thanks for reminding me”.She heard the Salandit and the Quilava say as they both started to walk towards her cell and one of them pulled out a small key from one of their bandanas to open her cell up while the other pulled out what appeared some weird blue colored seed from their bandana that made Julia confused.

Julia obviously scared started to walk backwards from the two as the Quilava unlocked the lock to her cell door and pulled out the chain that was holding it, “hey what are you guys doi-“ she couldn’t finish her sentence as the Salandit threw that blue colored seed he carried at her which some how than produced a blue light around her body and completely just locked her up. She couldn’t move any of her limbs around and she was now just completely stuck at the mercy of these two Pokémon which scared her a lot…

Now that she was immobile, both the Quilava and Salandit moved over to pick her up by both of her wings until they were basically dragging her immobile body across the wooden floor. Leaving the cell room she in before, Julia was in she saw that there was actually way more to the place she was in that she originally thought. Mainly that she was in a room underneath a stairway that led up to a hallway going deeper into the place she was in.

*Drage’s pov*

After dragging around this Noibat for around like 5 minutes so far me and O’light the Quilava have been dragging this Noibat up a flight of stairs leading to our captain’s quarters of the ship we were on. The Noibat has just been telling us this entire time to let her go and as such O’light had to step on the girlie’s tail to get her to shut up as she yelped in pain.

“That will quit her whining” O’light said as he took his foot off from the Noibat’s tail and grabbed her wing again. “Come on Drage we’re almost there anyways” O’light said as we both continued down the main hallway of the leftmost side of the ship where the prison area was located in. This part of the ship is where we keep Pokémon for our captain’s “experiments” as most of them were just random Mon we kidnapped from all around the Star Rising islands.

Me and O’light passed through the Ship’s engine room to where the the Captain office was located. We’ve got our shipment of rod stones yesterday which power the engines and the propellers on the top deck of our ship, Miler is the one who maintains the whole engine to our ship almost daily and he’s a Banette for someone who puts in rod stones nearly every week for the ship.

Anyways after climbing a set of stairs in the left part of the ship, we finally reached our captain’s quarters and saw a black hoodie figure with tentacles coming out of him in front of a book on the top of a pedestal. The captain’s room itself was a fairly small room in itself with a book shelf with multiple different kinds of books in a corner of the room, a desk where the captain spends most of his time in, a bed, and a smaller back room which is where he tests his “spells”.

We both threw the Noibat right in front of him on the floor and I said “here’s the Noibat you asked us to get captain” the figure turned towards me and O’light, “good job lads now leave! I have some private business to attend to with our new small guest here” the figure said and made a waving motion with one of his tentacles as a way to say that to get out.

*back to Julia’s pov*

Julia has just been worrying this entire time, first these two Pokémon both come into her cell and literally immobilize her with some strange blue seed, then she literally gets taken without any reason and is now in front of a way more scarier looking black hoodie figure in front of her who has tentacle coming out of them. After the Quilava and Salandit left, the blue glow that has been holding her body in place was actually starting to fade away and she started to regain control over her body once more.

Getting up to her feet Julia started to clumsily walk over to the door the Quilava and Salandit left in but she didn’t even make it two inches before one of the figure’s tentacles grabbed one of her arms and said “I wouldn’t try that lass” the figure said threateningly before pulling the Noibat back towards him.

It was at this moment that she finally noticed that the “figure” was actually a huge Malamar would a large black cloak covering up his entire body, he had the same glowing yellow eyes that highly reminded her of that man she once saw that knocked her out in the hallway back in the cruise ship.

Julia who was scared for her life and brought her other wing in front of her until staring straight up at the huge Malamar in front of her and she found the words to say “p-please don’t h-hurt me” she clumsily said to the big Malamar in front of her.

Julia was still taking in a lot in the span of just 20 minutes already and now she’s right in front of a very large menacing looking Malamar who whore a large dark cloak. She knew better than to lash out at people but she was just under a lot of anxiety right now that she couldn’t keep her mouth in check though.

“Don’t worry lassie I won’t hurt yah, I just need your help with a little experiment” Julia was a bit confused by what the Malamar meant by as he then dragged her over by her wing to what looked like a small stand with a book with strange symbols over it.

“Wait you want my help with something?” Julia finally found her words as she asked the Malamar confused by what he needed help with while looking at that book.

“Why should I help you? I still don’t even know where I am at and I’m not even supposed to be a Pokémon, or how you are even talking right now” Julia complained to the Malamar because she didn’t want to be here.

“Because I want to give you an offer” the Malamar said to the panicking Noibat to try and get her to come down a bit as he let go of her left wing arm. “First off let me introduce myself, I am captain Derge of the Hellraiders” the Malamar said while putting a tentacle up to his chest.

“I’m the main reason you are even here in the first place because there’s a destiny for you here, for you to help save our world” he said to the Noibat which made her even more confused by what he meant until she realized… “Wait your the one who brought me here in the first place and what do you mean by me having to save your world?” Julia started to remember the guy who knocked her out in the cruise ship being right in front of her and a part of getting an angry at the Malmar in front of her though she held that anger back because that wouldn’t help her right now at all.

The Malamar Derge nodded, “Yes you see young batling, humans like yourself have been brought to our world of the Rising Star Islands for natural disasters that happened in our world’s past” The Malamar explained to the curious Noibat.

“Wait so let me get this right, you took me from my world without my consent into a whole new world filled with talking Pokémon like yourself to stop some disaster from happening?!” Julia was still taking this all in and she still just couldn’t believe it.

“Watch your tone there girlie! Just because I have a good side right now doesn’t mean I’m always like this” Derge said to her as a warning. “Ahhh s-sorry” Julia replied back as an apology to Derge. “Uhhhh Captain Derge was it? You said you needed my help with an experiment or something?” Julia tried in to change the subject really quickly.

Thankfully the Malamar turned back to the stand with that book he had behind him and said “hmmmm? Oh yes I almost forgot, come over by me please little one”. The Malamar beckoned Julia to come over to his stand with the book on it. Julia just kinda decided to just go with it because it’s better then asking questions.

“This book here is a spell book that I had for almost all my life, I want to test a spell on you that will prepare you for a disaster that is coming in our world”. Julia was kinda lost of what he meant by (prepare her) if she had to be honest.

She didn’t have time to ponder about it until Derge said “it’s simple little one, just follow me really quick into that room over there and I will show you what I mean” she followed what he said and Derge guided the Noibat into the next smaller room over to his Captain’s room.

Following the Malamar she now found herself in what looked like a much more smaller room with bookshelves and a weird x shaped on a small stage at the end of the room. “Uhhhh what now Derge?” Julia asked the Malamar confused as she now found herself in the new weird feeling room with the huge Malamar.

*Derge’s pov*

The Noibat was now standing where I wanted to her… perfect. Opening up my spell book that I had in my tentacle, I read out a few tunes in a old ancient language from a page in the book the Noibat standing on the x shape stage started to float above the ground against her will and 4 glowing runes started to appear around the room and shoot glowing chains that captured the Noibat’s wings and legs.

“Hey!!! What in the heck is this?!” The Noibat started to panic full force as she was now restrained from each arm and leg. “Nothing little batling, I just need to borrow your body for myself that’s why I brought you in this world in the first place” I said in a very dark tone to the struggling Noibat as I started to look back at my book and switched to another page which had a new set of runes for the “fusion spell”.

My right tentacle started to glow a light pinkish color when I started reading it in a old ancient language I try book came in, said glow than started to spread throughout the rest of my body as I started to concentrate the glow around my body and looked back up to the chained up Noibat on the stand in front of me.

“Sorry little human, but you won’t exactly have the chance to experience this new world” I went back to reading out the spell until I was now fully covered in the pink glow, I set down my spell book on a table and then started to move directly to the chained up Noibat in front of me. That wouldn’t happen because I started notice that the Noibat anctually started to charge up what looked like a purplish fire in her mouth until… “I-I said LET ME GO!!” The Noibat yelled as she suddenly launched out a very powerful dragon pulse right from her mouth and directly at me.

Being completely caught off guard, (that unexpected dragon pulse from the small bat was definitely something I never actually would’ve expected from even a human turned Pokémon from just yesterday).

Anyways I was than hit full force by that dragon pulse that hit me square in the face and before I could react, was sent crashing backwards from the force of the dragon pulse until I hit the back of the small room while also hitting my head hard against a a shelf on the wall too.

Unprepared for the impact, I fell onto the floor from the rather large dent that was now in the wooden wall of the room and a also broken shelf and promptly passed out from the impact to my head…

Chapter Text

(Julia’s pov)

After unintentionally using a very powerful boomburst attack from her ears from the stress she was feeling and launching that Malamar right into the back of the wall in front of her who was also now in an unconscious state.

“Uhhhhh, did I actually just use boomburst right now” Julia said of herself as she was quite reasonably shocked that she unintentionally actually used her first Pokémon attack since waking up in this new Noibat body and also knocking out that Malamar who just a second ago was trying to take over her body with a strange spell he was doing. Also she realized since she knocked out the Malamar, he also dropped down his spell book which in-turn also made the glowing chains around her limbs fade away, she can finally move again.

“No time to think about moves right now, I need to find a way to get out of this room really quickly before those goons or somebody else comes into the room to check what that loud bang was” Julia said to herself as she started to move off of small stage she was once on.

She started to look around the room for a way to get out of this room and hopefully quickly before that Malamar wakes back up again. After a few seconds of looking around the walls, corners, shelves, until she finally found a way to get out of this room. A perfectly small sized vent next to the top of two shelves that on the right side of the Malamar’s spell room that she can perfectly climb up to. Moving over to the wall she recalled her brief wall climbing test she tried out back in her cell.

”Ok let’s try this out again” she said to herself as she started to put her left claw into the wall first, then she stuck her right claw into the wall, until she got them both hooked strongly into the wall so now she can start climbing on it. Climbing up the wall was actually pretty easy the second time around and she found it odd that she got used to climbing on walls so quickly if she had to be honest. Anyways about three seconds of climbing later, she reached the second shelf to where that vent was locate on the wall.

She had to be honest it was actually pretty cool to be able to climb walls like this like any regular Noibat to be honest, she was honestly starting to enjoy this new Noibat form she had. Anyways she was already climbing onto the shelf right now after she unhooked her claws from the wall, “ok if I remember any sort of vent correctly they should have four screws on each of their corners that I take off would open the vent up” Julia said as she was about to check the corners until seeing the screws she was talking about, moving over to each one she actually uncurled the screws from the wall with her little claws she actually had a perfect grip on each one. Again just an another Noibat perk.

Anyways after carefully taking out all the screws and tossing them to the floor below, the vent’s main latch just fell open forwards with a lite tap to the shelf she was standing on. “I never actually been in a vent before, also definitely not one this small at all” she said to herself to not get claustrophobia just in case. Getting on all fours she went inside and she actually perfectly fit inside of the vent because of her small size. “This is actually really weird walking on all fours like this” Julia said to herself as she finally made her way down the vent and say from the room with the unconscious Malamar.

*30 minutes of vent crawling later*

“-Actually speaking of escaping, I actually have no idea where I am even going in these vents at all-“ Julia said to herself as she has been crawling through these vents for about 30 minutes so far.

Wherever this place was it was definitely bigger than she ever expected, when going through the vents she saw even more rooms containing even more dazed out looking Pokémon in their rooms doing stuff like talking, hanging out, and some drinking something?…

Anyways yeah she passed a room they looked like a cafeteria with dazed out Incineroar wearing a green looking bandanna and a buckle around their shoulders, she suddenly heard him call out “anyone order the pecha berry soup? It’s hot and ready at the counter” the Incineroar called out to everyone else in the cafeteria, until a dazed looking Swoobat came over and took the soup the Incineroar served out.

The large cat was actually somehow cooking food for other dazed it looking Pokemon who also whore the same kind of green looking bandannas with other brands of clothing too. Which again looks like whatever world she is in now, these Pokémon actually acted way more intelligently to the ones back in her own world to one who know how to actually cook food and one’s always eating it at tables around with other Pokémon.

She stopped fro a second to watch a scene that included dazed out looking Charizard fight with a Rhydon because someone stole a piece of friend Torchic they were eating or something, Julia wasn’t really paying attention to the fight he used again she was in the vents.

Julia has been looking from a closed vent on ceiling of the cafeteria room this whole time and eventually said “Huh okay wow I never expected to see a Incineroar cooking food like any normal chef for other Pokémon, this world is definitely has way more smarter Pokémon to the ones I was originally used too”.

Julia decided to just move on again to see more of this location and hopefully find a way out…

Meanwhile back in Derge’s spell room

“Master are you ok?” The unconscious Malamar heard a voice call out to him and a rather forceful tug on one of his tentacles. “Uhhhhh” the Malamar said as he finally started to regain consciousness from being knocked out by that unexpected Boomburst attack from that Noibat.

He put a tentacle arm to his head as he slowly started to regain balance on the floor as he started to stand up, “Hoopa, is that you?” The Malamar called out to his second in command which was that dazed out looking Hoopa from before. “Yes Derge I am here, I quickly heard a large explosion like sound come from your spell room and I came here to find you unconscious on the ground with a knocked down shelf on top of you.

Derge opened his eyes to see what Hoopa was talking about before turning around and seeing the knocked over shelf on the ground behind him, he also saw that the Noibat was now gone and looking to the corner of the room he saw the where she possibly went…

“Grrrrr… Hoopa put the ship on high alert!! I want that Noibat found right now and get me Rubes to me, I want that Noibat found before she Elrond a way to escape the ship” The Malamar said in a commanding tone to the Hoopa who quickly said “the right away Master” the Hoopa fazed through the wall back to Derge’s main captain’s quarters.

“-I might’ve underestimated that human before, but that will definitely not happen again when I take her body for myself-” Derge said to himself as he also started to move out of his small spell room to his Captain’s Quarters to make a announcement.

(Back to Julia in the vents…)

Julia has been crawling more around this maze of vents for a extra 7 minutes, she heard a rather large announcement through some kind of speaker system saying “ALL CREW LISTEN UP, THIS IS SECOND IN COMMAND HOOPA TO THE CAPTAIN TO ORDER EVERYONE TO BE ON THR LOOKOUT FOR ANY NOIBAT YOU SEE THROUGH THE SHIP. BRING HER DIRECTLY TO THE CAPTAIN’S QUARTERS IMMEDIATELY IF ANYONE CAPTURES HER!!” the announcement yelled out until finally cutting off after said announcement was made.

Julia had to cover both the ears on her head because that was way too loud for even her ears to handle in themselves. “Okay great it looks like that Malamar is awake now and is now ordering all the Pokémon in the area to look out for me and capture me” Julia grumbled to herself as she started to move down again through the vent she was in right now.

“-Ughhhhh I don’t exactly know why this was a good idea in hindsight and plus I don’t even know where I am exactly going anyways, I could be going in circles for all I kno-“ Julia was saying until she suddenly stepped over a grate and fell right through it as it suddenly collapsed open into a new room she was moving over.

“Ahhhhhh” Julia let out a small yelp as she fell out of the vents and into another room that she landed into with a small thud onto the ground.

“Uhhh okay I wasn’t expecting that to happen and especially not from my weight hopefully also owwwww” Julia said as she accidentally her tail as she landed on top of it after calling from the ceiling vent grate.

“I seriously gotta stop landing on the top of my tail to be honest, it really does hurt whenever I land on top of it” Julia complained a bit as she did land on her tail way more than she ever wanted and the pain hurt a lot. Anyways after rubbing her tail to make the pain go away for a second, she started to look around the room she now found herself in.

The room was rather large in size and it actually had a lot of things, specifically weapon from swords, axes, to even guns on shelves on each corner of the room which actually looked more like armory then anything. Getting up Julia started look around the vast amount of weapons on the walls and shelves of the room and saying “ok this is definitely a surprise if I had to be honest, I never expected these Pokémon to use swords or axes at all, especially whatever these old looking things are”. She said as she spotted a lot of Shotgun looking rifles on weapon rackets on the walls which looked rather “old” in style and she doesn’t know what these things are either.

“Hello young Batling…”

Out of a sudden, Julia suddenly jumped up high as she suddenly heard some random disembodied voice come literally out of no where and called her a “young batling”, “wh-who said that?” Julia hung from the ceiling as she was scared to who said that right now.

She started to look around the room from the ceiling but she didn’t see anybody who could’ve said that except the only thing she saw around the room were just different amounts weapons on the shelves until she heard the voice say “woah woah come down! I’m not gonna hurt you so just calm yourself for a second” the voice reassured her.

Starting to calm down a bit, Julia unclung herself from the ceiling until falling back to her feet on the floor again and she voice say “Why don’t you try to find me first so we can properly meet first, I’m over by the second shelf down to the left of you” the voice said to Julia as she looked around for a moment before seeing the shelf the voice was talking about. Moving over there she looked at the rather large shelf which towered over her because of her rather small size again.

“Uhhhh okay but where are you specifically because all I see is weapons?” Julia said to try the disembodied voice again to get some more clarification. “I’m up on the second shelf above to where you are” said the voice to Julia as she saw the second shelf the voice was talking about.

Julia started to climb up onto one of the legs of the shelf to get to the second one because she wasn’t confident yet in herself to the falling with her wings yet and after a few clumsy attempts of getting onto the full leg, she finally got a could grip on it with her wing arms and started to climb up to the first shelf and then eventually the second one as she climbed up to it.

Pulling herself onto the second story shelf, she saw more rather large swords until actually spotting a stack of swords stacked onto the shelf. “You’re actually looking at me right now” said the disembodied voice to Julia as she finally realized that the voice was actually coming from a sword which was coming from the very top of the stack of swords and actually had a unique looking golden colored scabbard over it.

Moving around the shelf for a second she realized that the voice was actually coming from a sword coming stacked on the top of other swords that had scabbards on them. “Could you help me get out of this thing real quick please? Then I’ll introduce myself. The voice said to Julia and she said “Uhhhh alright”.

Grabbing the handle of the sword she saw on the top of the stacked swords, she took off the golden colored scabbard off of the tip of the sword until Julia finally realized that the voice was actually coming from a uniquely styled looking Honedge who was now actually floating in the front of her after she let go of the sword’s handle.

“Ahhh thank you so much! You wouldn’t believe how long I’ve been stuck in that thing for” the Honedge said to Julia as they “stretched” around for a second before looking back over to her direction. “Anyways yeah, Hello young Bat, also yes I am a Honedge and my name is Teminor at your service”. The Hondage now named Teminor did a bow in the way a floating living sword would to as a introduction, which also showed his unique looking drape hand which bared a simple single stylized T with its edges cut off.

“Uhhhhh a Honedge? Also I’m sorry your name is Teminor?” Julia was a bit confused by why there was some random Honedge here which to begin with in this armory room she now found herself in.

“By the way little batling what’s your name?” The Honedge asked Julia as she was still a bit confused, quickly snapping out of her confused look on her face, she started to say “oh sorry yeah my name is uhh Julia, and as you can see I’m a Noibat” she said as she raised a wing up to her chest to introduce herself to Teminor.

The Honedge thought for a minute before saying “oh Julia you say? That’s a really pretty name right there” the Honedge chuckled after seeing the Noibat react to his words. “Ohh- uhhh wow thank you so much I guess” Julia felt a bit flustered as she brought up a wing to her cheeks to cover bright red mark appeared on them but wasn’t really too noticeable because of her purplish light fur. “It fits a Noibat like you if I had to be honest, spunky and adventurous from what I can tell” the Honedge continued on for a moment.

“Anyways yeah sorry about that and I also can tell that you weren’t always a Noibat either Julia, you are actually a human” Teminor said right now to which Julia started step back a bit while her eyes started to widen in shock. “W-what? No I’m not uhhhhh” Julia started to worry a bit as she was scared to how this random Honedge somehow knew that she was actually a human turned Noibat.

“No need to worry little one, I guessed it after I saw your weird looking eyes and you look like you don’t really know where you are in the first place, plus you aren’t necessarily the very first human to actually come to our world as a Pokémon, but your definitely different from the other humans I have heard about in stories” Teminor explained to Julia as to how he guessed that she was originally a human.

“Wait I’m not the first human in this world?” Julia asked the Honedge now curious after his explanation, “Yes Julia, humans have always once crossed into the our world in times of crisis or in time of need, though I know a lot about them to tell that you were not brought here in time of need. Might explaining to me how you even appeared here in the first place dear?”.

Hearing that the Honedge wanted to tell him about why she was even here, Julia started to explain that this strange looking Malamar named Derge kidnapped here from her past human dimension and brought her here into this world because he wanted to “take over her body” or whatever that meant, and lastly how she escaped from him just a couple of minutes ago and accidentally fell into this room through the vents.

“Huh wow that’s actually quite a lot and I’m sorry you got pulled into this world Julia… it sounds like you didn’t really want that to happen but its also especially good that you escaped from that Malamar called Derge or rather Captain Deadlock that he actually goes by” Teminor explained until Julia said “Actually so far, I actually like this new Noibat body that I am in right now. Back when I was a human, I’ve raised a Noibat into a Noivern before so I already know a lot of how the species works” that’s why hen Julia started to raise a quizzical non-existent eyebrow “wait Captain Deadlock?” Julia said confused by the name.

“The Malamar you mentioned… he goes by Captain Deadlock from around this world, he’s both a very dangerous being and it wanted nearly everywhere around the Starfall Islands for practicing with outlawed “Spellrune” practices”. The Honedge swayed to the right a bit after mentioning word “Spellrune” out loud.

“Okay look Julia we don’t have much time, I promise I will get you off of this Ship we’re on right now because I don’t want Derge to take over your body for himself… humans are actually really powerful beings in our world so that’s probably why he kidnapped you in the first place, Derge wants to use your body for whatever power you might have that you don’t know about”. The Honedge said as he moved up towards Julia’s face, “I’ll bind myself to you as your weapon if you are okay with it because I myself hold some abilities too which is why I was taken aboard this ship just like you”.

Julia has been listening to what the Honedge as he explained they both needed to get off of this “ship” she and he were apparently both on when she started to say “Okay yeah your right, but first though what do you mean by this “binding thing?” She asked confuseingly. That was until Teminor himself actually that glow a light grey color and now produced a small icon of a Noibat on the center middle of his sword tip and wrapped around his drape over Julia’s chest as a makeshift holder which went over her chest and shoulder.

“It means our souls are now bonded to each other and plus I also grant you as my user to use my steel typing power for whatever you need” Teminor explained as he moved into right claw hand so she can grip him by his handle. “Plus I can see that you yourself is going to need help in this world because your are just a kid right now and I can also tell you don’t exactly know how to use your new Noibat moves, but don’t worry I’look teach you everything you need to learn about this world and your new body” Teminor explained to a curious Julia.

Julia herself right now was just still a bit shocked by what just happened, she just met this strange looking h
Honedge a few minutes ago, had a little chat, and now out of a sudden he sees her worthy of his power so she can use him as a sword now. Snapping out of her shocked stupor, Julia looked down towards Teminor in her claw and she started to say “oh wow uhhhh thank you so much and yeah your right I can feel the power you are giving off from just your handle alone!” Julia said as she felt rejuvenated herself after that power up moment from Teminor.

“Also yeah you’re right we have to get off of this ship quickly! But first do you exactly know a way off of this ship? She asked Teminor who was in her claw. “Actually yes I do my dear, just follow my instructions and we can actually get out of this nightmare ship.

Meanwhile else where

The Malamar was in a rather perfectly sized chair at a desk at his Captains Quarters’s after a while he got his second in command Hoopa to raise the alarm on the sip to be on the lookout for any Noibat in the ship and bring her back to the himself directly.

Hearing the door to his room open, a voice suddenly got his attention as it said “You called for me captain?” The Malamar suddenly heard a voice coming from the opened door of his room, which behind it appeared to be a unique black looking Lucario who whore a green bandana on their heads and carried a small sword on their back connected to a sash over their chest, he also had the same dazed looking expression as everyone else on his crew.

“Ahhhh welcome Lubian you’re just the Lucario I need right now” the Malamar said as the Lucario started to walk towards the desk he was sitting at. “Yes Captain I from Hoopa who ordered me to come over to your office just a few minutes ago for something regarding an escaped Noibat you had?” The Lucario recounted to what the Hoopa had told him. Lubian went over to a seat other said of Derge’s desk.

“Yes you are correct, look I need you to lead a capture group to find her for me, I’ve called you out personally to my office because since your a Lucario, using your aura powers would make it really easy to find where ever that Noibat is on the ship” The Malamar explained to the Lucario as he wanted him to go capture that escaped Noibat for him.

“Right away Captain Deadlock” after hearing what the Captain wanted him to do, Lubian the Lucario got up from his seat and did a quick salute with his right paw to his head and headed out of the door after this really quick meeting he was called too.

Moving down the corridor away from his the Captain’s room, Lubian went over to one of the adjacent rooms near where the engine room was located on the ship to get those two fire type grunts who love playing around with the prisoners located in the bow of the ship and that’s just where Lubian went too next.

“Uhhh I swear these two are always doing something stupid all the time”…

Lubian made his way down to the bow of the ship after passing through the engine room to the bow, he heard that the Miler the Banette got our new shipement of rod stones the ore he day and is currently refilling the engine to our ship’s engines that operates the propellers to the ship.

He finally reached the the prison corridor of where there were multiple rooms of cells with prisoners Captain Deadlock has us capture which are more just random Pokémon we kidnap for him so he can use them for his “experiments”. He called back to a time when Captain Deadlock had us capture a Marshadow a long time ago and he wanted to use the Malamar for himself and so fused the Malamar to himself using a spell, that’s why he always had a darkish streaks of green and black throughout his tentacles.

Anyways hey finally found the Salandit and Quilava the playing around with a random Archen who was taken out of their cell by them so they could try playing “fire dance” with them which actually entailed the two spewing fire at the poor Archen’s feet until they danced around for a while until the goofs were done with them and the poor bird was crying out in pain while they just laughed at it in pain.

“Ayo O’light and Drage! Stop playing around with that Archen and get them back into their cell before I take away your food privileges for the night!” The Lucario called out to them from the opened door behind him. Quickly hearing the Lucario, the two turned around with their paws to their heads as they tried to look “authoritative” but was obvious they weren’t in the slightest because of the Archen was still in the pain in the background.

Lubian walked around the two to the Archen behind them and ordered the bird to get back into their prison cell right away and also reassured the bird that they will no longer bother them again, to which the Archen quickly turned and walked back into their cell as quickly as they can.

“You two seriously have to stop playing around when the prisoners, they’re only here for Captain Deadlock to use in his studies as test subjects not for you two to just play around with all day” Lubian said as he turned back around to the Salandit and Quilava and also scolded them for acting like children.

“It’s O’light’s fault!” The Salandit Drage quickly betrayed his friend by blaming him for the idea for playing fire dance with that Arden as he jumped to his feet and pointed a claw at the Quilava next to him”. “Yes it was my wha!?” The Quilava quickly heard what his friend Drage just said and started to argue back with him to whose idea it was until Lubian walked over to them and separated the two arguing fire types. “Look stop fighting you two dults, I need you to come with me and find a Noibat because I don’t know if you two heard the announcement but the entire ship.

“Yeah we have heard about it, but we just deduced that since the entire ship was looking for that escaped Noibat, we would check the prison corridor until we got distracted when “someone” suggested we do something else” Drage did air quotes with his claws around someone when he mentioned what they were doing before to Lubian while O’light let out a very annoyed “hfffnn”.

They both just have into what Lubian wanted to do in the end and they both followed Lubian right out of the room and back into the corridor leaving the prison section of the ship behind to go find this Noibat, Lubian knows a very easy way to look for that Noibat in the ship.

(Back with Julia and Teminor)

Teminor has been floating in front of Julia while explaining to her that he wants her to try using whatever Pokémon moves she knows so far on him…

“Ok Julia dear listen well, I want to try and see what kind of Pokémon moves you have so far outside of the boomburst you mentioned before so I want you to try. Since you’re a Noibat, you should get to know at least scratch or bite judging by your experience level so far” Teminor explained to Julia because he wanted to see what kind of moves she had.

“So you want to see what moves I would have then?” Julia asked a bit confused on how to test to see if she had other moves. “Oh that’s simple, I want you to try and attack me with any other moves you know”. Teminor said to Julia as she whipped her head back over to him with her eyes widened a bit.

“Wait seriously? You want me to try and attack you directly Teminor?” She asked him shocked but she did knew Honedge was a steel/ghost type that could against attacks from a Noibat from her but she just wanted to make sure.

“Yeah sure dear, this steel body has handled a lot of abuse throughout my entire life plus I’m immune to normal type moves”. Teminor explained to Julia as he floated to the other end of the room with weapons to let her hit him with any move she knows. “Using an attack is as simple as thinking of how it should play out. Just look for a energy in your body and until you feel it then direct it to a part of your body like Air Cutter for example, would go to your claws and when you feel the move’s sensation in your claws, unleash the move at me” Teminor explained to Julia on how to use a move is to feel the energy in your body itself and then let it out.

“I’m ready to take a hit whenever you feel the energy in your body Julia” Teminor called out back to her. Hearing that gave her a bit of confidence in this to try it out, Julia followed what Teminor described to her just now and she started to concentrate on finding that energy in her body to that would be able to make her use Air Cutter at least…

Few seconds of concentration later, she actually started to feel that power Teminor just described to her and started to channel it to the claws on her arms. That’s when she actually felt the energy start to build up in her claws until she shot out a few air covered slash projectiles directly at Teminor that hit him directly in the middle of his eye on the sword but was also not really effective at all, Julia recognized the move she just use as the flying type move Air Cutter.

“Oh wow you’re definitely a fast learner Julia!” Teminor called back out to her after he recovered from her air cutter move “and also a beginner flying type move too! I’ve would’ve expected you to take a few tries but you used it almost immediately, your aim though could use some work though”.

Julia meanwhile on the other side of the room was actually started to let out a small scream of glee and jumped up high as she could from excitement as she just used her first Pokémon move successfully in this new Noibat body of hers, after falling back down to the floor Julia started to say “Okay I could definitely get used to this new Noibat form if I had to be honest, using that move felt really exciting to use and while Air Cutter wasn’t that powerful move I still felt really good using my first actual move if I had to be honest” Julia explained back out to Teminor as she was quite excited about using her first actual Pokémon move.

“I can tell dear” Teminor said as he led out a small chuckle seeing Julia getting excited about using her first Pokémon move. For a human turned Pokémon from just yesterday she definitely was a really fast learner, he called back to a time when he actually used to be a move tutor to younger Pokémon back when he was on the island of Lightmount before he got captured by that Malamar Deadlock and he never seen any first generation of child Pokémon master a move that quickly even for Air Cutter too which was a very child friendly Pokémon move to begin with.

After seeing that the Noibat calmed down a bit from her excitement, Teminor floated back directly to her until he started to say “okay Julia dear since you at least know a move to defend yourself now, I now want you to try flying with your Noibat wings in this room really quick. Hearing what the Honedge said Julia started to say “I would… but I honestly don’t really exactly know how to fly yet because I had the chance to yet” Julia put up a wing to her head because she started to feel stressed out.

“Don’t worry, I’ve once had a Pidgeotto friend of mine who help me train flying type children Pokémon just like yourself, and it’s honestly very simple…” Teminor remarked as he praised himself a bit with his drape, “anyways yeah just take it easy and just try flapping your wings really close to the floor here until-“. Teminor started to say to Julia until the door that was previously locked and unnoticed by the two suddenly flew open revealing a black fur colored Lucario with a Salandit and Quilava behind them that Julia immediately recognized as the two who bothered her only a about like a hour ago…

Julia and Teminor just both stood there dumbfounded until the Lucario in front of them took a step into the armory room and pointed a paw right right at Julia herself, “Stop right there Noibat! There’s no where for you to go so let us simply capture you and-“ the Lucario was cut off as he also noticed that really experienced Honedge they captured a few months ago floating right next to the Noibat… A moment later Teminor once again flew over and connected his drape over Julia’s wing arm and she herself quickly put on a confident face and got into a combat pose herself with both of her claws holding Teminor’s sword handle.

“Uhhh hey Teminor I don’t actually know how to fight with a sword” Julia whispered real quick to Teminor in her claws as the Lucario, Salandit, and Quilava were again standing in front of them. “Don’t worry dear, I’ll handle the fighting you just move around and dodge the attacks from those three” Teminor talked about the three goons in front of them right now.

The Lucario chuckled at the sight of the two because to him it did look cute seeing if they could possibly do anything to a steel type and two to one half evolved fire types, “you two really think your gonna be able to do anything to us? You’re at a major type disadvantage to all three of us so again Noibat drop the sword and we will have our Captain put you out of your misery”. The Lucario offered again as her commanded both Drage and O’light to get into combat poses themselves in the case they did have to fight.

Julia however wasn’t going to surrender so easily herself, in the blink of a eye she began to run directly towards the Lucario until she actually fell onto her back and slide right underneath his legs until she was not behind him. It all happened in a second but Julia who was wielding Teminor who now started to glow a gray color around his tip, she ran up to the Quilava O’light on the left of the entrance until she jumped up a bit from the floor and smacked him on the side of his head directly in the face with Teminor’s sword tip with a rather hard metal sound to which O’light over to his side and then she looked over to the Salandit Drage next to the fallen Quilava and also smacked him right on the top of his head until he fell to the ground with a rather large red slash mark on the top of Drage’s head.

Lost on the confusion, Julia started to move towards the opened door while the two fire types were down on the ground right now but was cut off when the Lucario launched out a medium sized Aura Sphere directly behind the Noibat who was starting to run out of the exit which unfortunately for her connected with her backside made her fly into the wall of the outside hallway stunned for a moment. “Ok I definitely underestimated you and that Honedge with you but you will not get away from me now!” Lubian walked past the two downed fire types in font of him and out into the opened hallway to where the Noibat was trying to quickly get back up after being hit in the back by that aura sphere Lubian sent out.

“Never thought I’d be hurting a kid like you but hey there’s a first for everything I guess” Lubian said threateningly as he picked up the Noibat off from the ground from her scruff and to which she started to struggle in his grip to try and get away from the Lucario. “Don’t bother trying to struggle, you can really hit me with that sword of yours when you can’t really handle it’s weight” Lubian said as he brought th struggling Noibat in front of his muzzle and pinned her against wall, Julia had to think of something to do so she can get out of this Lucario’s grip quickly because Teminor was stuck underneath the Lucario’s foot.

Calling back to her experience with training that Noibat of hers, she also knows a certain move that would be really hopeful that Noibat could learn early on that she could use to get out of the Lucario’s grip, “I’ll bring you to Captain Deadlock myself with-“ Lubian started to speak until he was cut off guard when the Noibat moved up towards his paw that was holding her and bit her little fangs into the paw really hard directly in the middle of the of it that was holding her as she used the move bite to free herself. Reeling back in pain, the Lucario let go of the Julia as he stumbled back by the sudden pain in his paw and he also stepped off of Teminor himself as the Lucario stumbled back in pain for a moment by his aching paw.

Falling back to the ground and making her not to land on her tail again and instead her feet instead with a small audible thud, Julia quickly ran over to Teminor on the ground and grabbed his handle with one claw as she started to move down the right hallway to get way from the stunned Lucario, while running though Teminor started to say “wow Julia that was a really smart move right there with you biting the Lucario’s paw with the move bite, also you used another move too!!” Teminor said to Julia as she held him her claw when they were getting away from the three goons they just attacked.

Julia rounded a corner in the hallway before stopping to peek her head around the corner to make sure no one was following them to which she saw nobody else coming down the hallway. Turning back to Teminor in her claws she started to say “hey uhhhh Teminor do you have any actual ideas on how to get out of this “ship” you called it before?” Julia asked him tiredly as she was regaining her breath from that brief sprint down the hallway, “yes I do of course, I remembered the layout of this ship when I was first brought here actually, though it might be in a very tight position” Teminor said worryingly when he said that…

“Which is?” Julia asked confused, “it’s on the main deck of the ship where the main propellers are located…” Teminor said to Julia. “Wait a second… what do you mean by propellers?” Now Julia was a bit more concerned about their current situation, moving his eye around Teminor spotted a window in the hallway they were in a ways down from the corner they were hiding behind “look Julia move over to that window over there and you’ll see what I mean “propellers”…

Curious what Teminor meant, Julia herself moved down the hallway to the window in the wall that Teminor just mentioned and she let go of his handle as he started to float next to her instead. “Ok just a simple jump up and I’ll see out the window” Julia said to Teminor next to her as she did a little hop up until she grabbed the circular window with her claws and she pulled herself up until her chin was now resting on the circular window, what she noticed about their location kinda made her eyes widen in shock if she had to be honest.

What she saw was not some opened large body of water that people call Ocean at all like she was expecting this entire time… but rather what she saw instead was actually noting but a Sea of clouds everywhere that surrounded a late afternoon sky in the background, to which the “ship” they were on was actually sailing through clouds high in the sky in a ocean of clouds.

Snapping out of her shocked stupor, Julia dropped back down to the floor to where a waiting Teminor was at and she started to say “oh so that’s what you mean by propellers, because their is literally no ground outside of this ship that wants to capture us!” Julia started to panic a bit as she put her claws up to her face in a very angry scream she just did that sounded more like a bat screech. “-Shhhhhh quiet down dear, you don’t want to attract any guards on us-“ Teminor said as he threw his drape hand over Julia’s large mouth to make her quiet down.

“Yeah sorry I didn’t mean to do that, I am just stressed out because it looks like the one way off of this hellhole is to actually fly off of it which I didn’t even try yet myself” Julia said as she looked at her wing arms in worr because she never tested them for flying yet today.

Suddenly though both she and Teminor started to hear both voices and footsteps coming down from the left corner ofthe hallway they were in currently in. Julia herself could hear the voices thanks to her improved hearing which she now just realized too as a voice called out, “yeah Flint thought he could try and sneak away my slice of or he berry covered bread back in the cafeteria so I had to show him a lesson about “don’t steal food from Gabite ever again!” The voice coming down the hallway which Julia guessed was a Gabite yelled out angrily from down said hallway.

Hearing the voice come from the a corner on the right side of the hallway, Julia quickly thought of a plan on how to sneak by those Pokémon coming down the other end. She told Teminor to get onto her back by wrapping himself around her belly with is drape hand and he did just that next, “what is exactly your plan Julia? Because I’d rather not be captured and be put back into trust boring armory room for the rest of my days” Teminor said as he was now strapped to her back and was also curious to what her plan was.

“I got this don’t worry” Julia quietly said to Teminor on her back. Getting ready, Julia moved up to one of the walls in the hallway and started to insert her claws into the wooden walls as she started to climb upwards to the ceiling, then she started to scuttle on all fours on the ceiling down the left hallway that Teminor mentioned led to a staircase that could lead them up towards the main deck of the ship.

“-So this staircase you mentioned is done this left hallway?” Julia asked Teminor who was on her back looking downwards to the hallway, “yes this is definitely the way, that’s one of the perks to having a photographic memory when after being captured”. They both passed that Gabite who was also talking a Servine a few minutes ago again talking about that argument that again happened in that cafeteria the Gabite was in before and Julia did find it funny if she had to be honest. Anyways though Teminor also mentioned they had to pass an engine room that this hallway led through to eventually find those stairs which they were both about to enter right now.

Julia couldn’t really saw the room from the ceiling and to be honest it was a really huge room because it housed this huge machine that looked to be a cross between a engine and furnace because she noticed that it also had gears on the inside of it and a smelting area for coal or something judging by the giant blue glowing hole on the side that definitely looks like something that you threw into it.

Julia started to hear small footsteps come from the entrance to the large engine room which she noticed was another dazed out looking Banette wearing a green bandana and a red shredded looking shirt and also a rather large belt over their waist came walking in carrying a rather large crate of oddly colored blue stones that were pulsating a bluish glow.

Curious Julia whispered Teminor to be quiet as possibly as to avoid the the Bannete from noticing them on the ceiling, she noticed the Banette walking up to that smelting hole she was just talking about right now with that crate he was carrying until he eventually got to it and started to say “uhhhh I hate maintaining this stupid engine room so much, thankfully this is the last shipment of rod stones for today and then hopefully I can get dinner from Omar in the cafeteria later” the banette sounded happy about that last part as he started to dump his load of those blue stones which Julia guessed were the rod stones he was talking about into the hole which flared up as a large blue flame shot out from it and the engine started to rumble as it sounded like it powered up.

“Welp that was done, now time for dinner” the Banette said as he started to walk out until Julia started to hear more footsteps coming from the hallway leading into the engine room as she noticed the Lucario, Quilava, and Salandit all came walking into the room to a confused looking Banette.

“Hey Miler have you possibly seen an escaped Noibat around this area possibly carrying around a small Honedge in their claws?” The Lucario asked the Banette who was apparently named Miler. “Huh? You mean that Noibat that Hoopa announced on the speakers about a hour ago? Because no I haven’t seen any Noibat around here or in the engine room” Miler said to the Lucario annoyingly as he just wanted to clock out for today as fast as possible.

“Well that’s because I used my aura sense a couple of minutes ago and I sensed the Noibat come down the hallway from the bow’s armory room down towards the engine room. To which have you checked the ceiling by any chance?” The Lucario asked the now confused looking Banette. The Lucario started to point a paw up towards the ceiling of the room which everyone followed to see a rather small bat with a sword on their strapped around their back who was looking down on all of them from the ceiling with a now scared looking expression on their eyes.

Sensing that was her queue, Julia quickly started to scuttle on the ceiling down towards the other end of the hallway to try and get away from the Pokémon who all knew now she was on the ceiling…

She was actually really close to leaving the room until she saw weird looking shadows crawl up in front of her on the ceiling until she noticed that Banette start to come out of the shadows to which he smacked Julia right in the face with his right fist covered in a ghostly energy… the knockback resulted in Julia letting out a yelp and unhooking her claws from the wooden ceiling and falling back to the ground onto the ground face first in the middle of the room.

Teminor also fell onto the floor to as he letted go of Julia’s waist when she fell so he wouldn’t get stuck underneath her small body and she now was on the floor with pain directly on her nose, “owwww” she whimpered in pain as she put up a claw to her throbbing nose white the Banette himself fell back onto the ground from his Shadow Sneak.

“Good job Miler” the Lucario walked over as he congratulated the Banstte and they all now surrounded the fallen Noibat and the Honedge who was now on the floor too. “There’s no escape now bat! O’light and Drage go and restrain her now” the Lucario commanded the two fire type Pokémon who were now walking over to the fallen Noibat on the floor…

Chapter Text

Julia and Teminor were both surrounded by all sides by the three goons who were after them only a few minutes ago and were down after a unsuccessful escape attempt was ruined by that Bannette who snuck up in front of her and sucker punched her right in the face after using a shadow sneak on her…

The Lucario ordered the two fire types to restrain her while he moved to go pick up the Honedge on the floor next to the downed Noibat. Teminor on the other hand had an idea that could work but he had to be quick and get Julia to follow him with it.

He looked over to the downed Noibat next to him and quickly started to say “Julia real quick! I have an idea on how we could get out of this situation, but I need your cooperation with it and see if you fully trust me”* he explained to the Noibat who was having trouble listening to him.

“Owwww” Julia let out a weak whimper as she brought her head up towards Teminor on the floor in front of her as she put a claw up to her throbbing nose. “What idea? And yes I will definitely cooperate with any idea you have if it gets us out of this place” Julia quickly whispered to Teminor on the other end as the two fire types started to grab her wing arms.

“I ask again, to you fully trust me? Because I don’t think you will like it…” Teminor said as the Lucario also started to pick him up, Julia quickly nodded worryingly as a confirmed yes as the two fire types brought the fallen Noibat to her feet.

“Alright, just be ready” with that Teminor quickly flew over to Julia herself and started to let out a bright blue glow that eventually surrounded himself and now Julia with a brought light. Julia started to feel a weird sensation from the light as her body started to feel weird for some reason.

After a moment of this weird sensation in her “body” was gone, Julia opened up her eyes to something really weird… which is because she saw herself in front of her somehow. It took her a moment to realize that she was looking back at her own body right now which her body opened up their eyes to show Teminor’s T shaped pupils staring back at her through her own Noibat body and she was actually in Teminor’s Honedge body so that’s why she can literally see herself right now.

They switched bodies…

Suddenly Teminor who was in Julia’s Noibat body on the floor now, jumped right up to his new feet from the ground while also quickly leaning over and picking up Julia who was in Teminor’s body off of the floor and quickly went into a combat position between the four goons themselves.

Julia didn’t even have time to question what just happened until she saw Teminor start to produce a grayish glow that surrounded both his new Noibat body and Julia who was in her hands, until eventually they were both covered in that grayish color now.

The four Pokémon around them were quite shocked at what just happened, the two fire types who were own moving to restrain the Noibat where now starting to back up a bit, the Banette also moved back a bit, the Lucario on the other hand looked more annoyed by what just happened.

“What are you waiting for your dolts, go in and capture them!” The Lucario ordered to the shocked Pokemon loudly after they were sent out of their shocked stupor… The two fire types started to charge up flamethrowers attacks when Teminor suddenly jumped up really high behind both Drage and O’light and missing both of their flamethrowers attacks, the two didn’t even get a chance to see what just happened when Teminor hit them both with Julia who somehow did a Sacred Sword attack.

The two fire types were knocked onto the other side of the engine room after they both got smacked by Honedge’s Sacred Sword attack and injuring them largely as they both got sent into the walls of the room, Lubian stared in confusion as to what just happened on. After a second of dumb shock went by, Lubian snapped out of his stupor and decided to pull out his own sword from the sheath on his back and coated the sword in his own blue aura to counter the Noibat’s Honedge in their hands.

“It’s definitely been sometime since I was last in a mortal body” Teminor exclaimed to himself as he got back into a combat pose. “Hey uhhh Teminor I just have to ask but what the heck did you do?!” Julia asked worryingly as she looked at Teminor who was holding her in his claws now.

Teminor in her Noibat body looked down towards the sword in his claws. “This was the only thing I could think of to get a fighting chance. Also don’t worry dear… I simply switched around the souls to our bodies for the meantime, we’ll switch back around when we our out of this situation, Teminor explained to a confused Julia.

“Uhhhh okay, but this still feels so weird being a sword if I have to be honest…” Julia said after hearing what Teminor did to them, “quickly focus on that Banette and Lucario and then we can talk about this” Julia quickly said to Teminor who headed her advice and he brought of the sword to counter a charging Lucario’s sword.

And so Lubian the Lucario charged directly at Teminor with his glowing aura coated sword and Teminor also put up Julia against it to counter the sword and the two got stuck in a stalemate, “don’t know what you did girly to be somehow very experienced with a sword all of a sudden but that will not help you at all” Lubian said as he was now starting to hold down his sword against the way smaller Noibat who was starting to struggle holding up their sword against the Lucario who was trying to pin him down.

“Teminor quick fall back, he’s trying to pin you down with his aura sword!” Julia quickly explained to Teminor as Julia was having a hard time holding up her defense against the Lucario’s sword. Seeing Julia starting to struggle, Teminor intentionally let go of his grip on his sword which actually ended up making the Lucario trip for a moment because he lost his footing after the Noibat moved out of the way and when the Lucario was stunned for a moment, he used his fangs to bite into the Lucario’s foot in a temporary bite attack which caused the Lucario to drop his sword down to the ground and put one of his paws at his aching foot which also caused him to jump back a bit with a yelp.

“Ow! Why you littl-“ the Lucario was cut off when Teminor quickly dashed over to them and told Julia to try and used another Sacred Sword attack on his mark and then Teminor quickly let out a quick “now!” as he swung Julia right in the Lucario’s stomach and Julia quickly used a Sacred Sword which caused the Lucario to go flying right into the right wall of the room and he left a noticeable dent in the wooden wall as he fell to the floor unconscious.

Standing up again Teminor stared back at the last one in the engine room who was the scared looking Banette who was this entire time stepping backwards towards the exit of the room, seeing the Lucario fall was his final straw as he started to run out of the engine room to the corridor because he just didn’t want to get involved in the fight.

Seeing the Banette just run away did actually make Julia chuckle a bit if she had to be honest, anyways seeing that the battle was over now with the three fainted Pokémon around them. The grayish light started to fade from Teminor’s body as he powered down his power and started to produce another blue light as he brought Julia up to his chest.

The blue light fade was when Julia realized she could feel her limbs again as she was no back in her Noibat body while Teminor returned back to his Honedge body after the battle. Julia have a brief stretch of her wings before saying “okay well that was certainly the moment wasn’t it? But also Teminor what did you just do before with those strange lights you did?” Julia asked Teminor as she looked over to him for answers as to what just happened.

“Sorry for not telling you this before Julia, but I am a bit more special from the average Honedge if I have to be honest” Teminor said as he floated around Julia while started to explain what he just did. “I have two other abilities I can do, that blue light you saw what an ability I call “soul swapping” basically since I am a Ghost I can switch souls with a mortal being if I wanted too, not every Ghost type has this ability because it’s a really ancient technique but I’ve learned to use it before as you just experienced”.

Julia was a bit confused by that explanation but to be honest to her that ability does sound really interesting. “Secondly I could share a bit of my steel typing with you too, which what that grayish light I produced over your body was” Teminor explained to Julia really quickly. “Enough of the explanations though, the stairs up to the top deck are right around that corner over there so I say we should hurry!” Teminor explained as he made a pointing motion with his drape arm to the right corner of the engine room they were in. “Yeah your right, let’s get out of here” Julia said as she started to run across the engine room and around the corner with Teminor floating quickly behind her.

(10 minutes later)…

Derge has been sitting at just desk for about 50 minutes so far with now updates from any of his crew members yet, to which he was started to get agitated.

“Uhhhh can’t any of these whelps find one single puny Noibat!?” Derge screamed out in rage to himself in his own courter space as he slammed his tentacle arms on his desk. He has yet to get any update from any of his pirates to confirm if they have that Noibat yet.

That was until he heard a knock at his door…

A lone dazed out looking Liepard with a green bandanna around their head entered the doorway to his courters, they eventually walked fully into his courters and started to speak “Captain we have an update on that escaped Noibat” the Liepard said a bit worryingly.

“And what is this update Palmer?” Derge asked the Liepard who was apparently named Palmer by the light pinkish spot on the end of her tail. “We’ve found Lubian and those two fire types of team renegade unconscious in the engine room a couple of minutes ago, they said that the Noibat has obtained that Honedge from our armor room beforehand and were attacked by it” Palmer quickly explained to a already agitated looking Derge.

Derge meanwhile slowly started to get up from his chair and very suddenly, threw it against the wall of his courters in outright rage. He then suddenly grabbed Palmer’s throat with one of his tentacle arms and brought her directly up to his face and started to say in a threatening tone. “YOU FOOLS BETTER BRING ME THAT PUNY NOIBAT!! OR I’LL THROW YOU AND ALL THE OTHER FAILING FOOLS INTO MY EXPERIMENTS!!” He then threw a frightened Palmer right against the other side of the room.

The frightened crumbled Liepard quickly got up and said “Y-Y-yes Captain”, Palmer then quickly left the room as a confirmation that she understood what she meant and to speed up the search efforts. Composing himself Derge started to make way for the doorway himself and decided that he would get the Noibat himself?and he started to think of where that Noibat and Honedge would exactly go next…

Back to Julia and Teminor…

Julia has been following the directions up to the deck of the ship she was in, she passed through a few hallways, climbed up a few stairs, and taking down a few more dazed out pirate Pokémon. She and Teminor finally reached the deck of the ship which showed finally showered the Noibat with fresh air and the outside of this new world for the first time… though the sky was filled with dull gray clouds so not really the nicest display.

“Awww I’ve missed fresh air so much” Julia quickly recounts as she literally hasn’t been outside since she was last outside of that cruise ship she was on back in her old world.

The main deck itself was rather large in size with two sets of staircases leading up to both the bow and stern ends of the ship, though what really looked interesting to Julia was also the three large masts embedded into the main deck with large rotors on them with a black flag that looked like the skull of a Malamar with 4 small bones surrounding it.

“Okay so this ship is definitely not your average ship at all” Julia was about to say but was immediately cut off by Teminor who she honestly forgot was in her claw if she had pt be honest.

“Dear focus! There’s no time for sightseeing right now because our exit is off to the side over there”. Teminor mentioned as he pointed his drape hand to the left side of the ship that actually had a walking plank connected to it. “Oh yeah… I forgot that was the hard part.” Julia said as she felt a bit nervous because she literally had to fly in this new Noibat body for real in a sky that looked absolutely endless from what she saw.

Seeing as there was no one on the deck, Julia started to move towards the ledge of the ship with Teminor as she put him onto her backside. Though before she could jump off of the ship, she suddenly saw a huge shadow form right above her and something else wrapped around her neck which instantly pulled her backwards and she let out a small “Noi” in a sort of yelp in surprise.

She was literally brought up face to face with the one thing she hoped she did of have to see again which in this case was that Malamar she knocked out before by shear luck on her part. The face of the Malamar showed a very angry looking expression on his beak as Julia was starting to feel scared as he then yanked Teminor right out of her claws with another one of his tentacle arms.

“You really thought you could escape from me Bat? No one can ever escape from me” Derge threateningly said as he started to choke Julia who was in his grasp and she in a panic filled attempt, started to flail her wings, legs, and tail around in panic.

“L-let g-go of me! *cough* y-you’ll never get my body i-if you kill m-me” Julia struggled to say as she was starting to cough and go blue in the face due to the lack of air, she even tried using a air cutter attack on Derge but that instantly failed as she couldn’t find the energy to use it right now.

“My for a human, you are greatly pathetic because who said I was gonna kill you? I just have to render you unconscious” Derge replied back to a choking Noibat’s plead. Meanwhile Teminor who was being held right behind Derge by one of his shadow tentacles right around his tip started to think of a plan quickly.

Teminor suddenly recalled one ghost type move he knows that he hasn’t really used in a while, but it was definitely a time to use it again. Successfully taking out his drape arm out of Derge’s grasp, Teminor started to charge up a shadow ball right from his hand to the direct backside of Derge who was too distracted choking Julia to realize that Teminor was now touching his back…

In a instant, a sudden large purple explosion hit Derge right behind him to which he fell let go of Julia who herself fell back to the ground of the ship with a small thud and was gasping for her judging by he would breathing. Derge meanwhile fell directly onto his face from the knockback from that Shadow Ball to which wasn’t that effective, still got him to react in way Teminor wanted.

Floating upward, Teminor quickly moved over to Julia to help her get off of the floor after she was was let go of the Malamar’s grip, even though she was gasping for air and Teminor patted her back to help her with his drape arm. “T-thanks for t-the s-save T-Teminor” Julia said during a bunch of rapid coughs she was having.

“No worries dear, but we have to go now before Derge calls his crew for backup” Teminor reminded a coughing Julia in the moment.

Derge oh the other hand was laying on the side of the stern’s edge as he tried to recover from that slight blow to his backside, in desperation he started to activate a psychic link between him and his second in command Hoopa, (“Hoopa can you hear me? I need you to summon team Stapper to the main deck right now” Derge quickly ordered Hoppa. “Yes Sir Captain”).

Derge noticed as a bright golden ring started to appear right behind the Noibat and Hondge as he himself started to show a devilish smile on his beak. Just then the golden ring floated upwards to reveal the Hoopa and three other Pokémon consisting of the Liepard from earlier, a Starapter, and a Seviper who themselves made up team Stapper.

Snapping out of her coughing fit, Julia quickly pulled in and wielded Teminor in her wing claws in the back of the deck surrounded by the Malamar, Hoopa, and Team Stapper in defiance to which the all head menacing looks on their faces. Julia meanwhile was starting to slightly lose confidence in her current situation right now…

“Nowhere left to go Noibat! No just surrender yourself to our captain immediately” the Liepard Palmer said behind menacing fangs. “Yeah it’s like they’re gonna do anything with that small sword ssshe has to us” The Seviper also called out as they all started to corner her.

“Psst Julia, try to back down right now we just have to catch them all off guard and go near the edge of the ship. I’m going to need you to try and tap into your new noise echolocation SoundWaves on my mark.” Teminor quickly told Julia as he was in her claw.

“B-but i don’t know how to use my soundwaves yet” Julia nervously whispered back to Teminor. “Just try to feel the vibrations in your ears and then when you feel a tingle, just scream it all out” Teminor whispered back to Julia on how to make a short soundburst with her hears.

“I’ll go distract them myself to give you some time to stun them” Teminor said as he suddenly flew out of her grasp and than floating over to the group of pirates very quickly until he hit Derge directly in the face with a shadow claw from his drape arm which in turn made him recoil from the unexpected attack. Teminor then fired off a few flash cannons around them which caused one of them to yell “watch out!” To the rest of the pirates as they started to scatter around the deck.

One of the flash cannons hit the Starapter first as he wasn’t paying attention which caused him to go flying directly into the main mast of the ship that had the large propellers on the top of them and cracking some of the wood from the impact from his body. The Liepard Palmer fired out a shadow ball from her mouth that she hit with her scythe tail hoping to hit the flying around Honedge, seeing this a Teminor stalled before the shadow ball hit him.

Back to Julia she followed Teminor’s advice and focusing all her energy into her ears, she started to feel for that tingling sensation Teminor explained. Seeing as how all the pirates were distracted on Teminor right now and that Starapter was still recovering from that impact, Julia took the time to call back to the time when she was still raising her Noivern back when they were a Noibat like herself, and that they can produce soundwaves from their ears through their emotions like if they’re sad, worried, or crying. Though they can use it directly as the move soundblast, which is what she was about to do right in the moment.

Finally finding that tingling sensation in her own ears, “Teminor quick move out of the way!” Julia called out to Teminor as he was floating around the hand of pirates very quickly to which he veered away from the group. “Damn little piece of metal, get your cowardly little stick back down here and fight-“ Derge didn’t have the time to finish his sentence as he finally noticed Julia near the port side of the deck as she was charging up energy right in her ears. “Hoopa you go deal with the Honedge over there and we’ll stop that Noibat from escaping, hearing the order Hoopa floated upward towards the Honedge who veered off from the pirates on the deck and started to float directly towards him to engage in a battle.

“Emile quick to attack that Noibat with your Poison tail before she fires off that soundbla-“ Derge couldn’t finish his command to the Seviper as Julia finally launched out a loud “SOUNDBLAST” directly at the pirates as she also announced it loudly.

In the blink of a second loud piercing soundwaves his Derge and the other two members of Team Stapper as Emile and Derge were loudly punched backwards into the bow part of the deck nearly stopping and hitting the wood that served as what made up the front end of the ship itself while Palmer was sent backwards way farther than them off the ship and into the sea of clouds underneath. Seeing this Derge quickly looked up and called back it out to Hoopa, “Hoopa quickly, save Palmer” Derge quickly commanded the meanwhile preoccupied Hoopa as he suddenly broke off with his brief fight with Teminor and started to follow Palmer underneath the cloud layer to save her from falling to her death.

After that loud Soundblast, Julia opened up her eyes to see all of the the pirates now all one the ground holding up their hands up to their ears from the ear splitting Soundblast the Noibat sent out, Julia herself made a sort of shocked looking face to the scene she was now looking at and looked up to her own ears as she internally said to herself “-Did I seriously just produce that loud Soundblast?-“ though she was cut off from her own self thinking as Teminor suddenly floated back down towards her.

“Julia that was amazing, for a human turned Pokémon a couple of hours ago you are really starting to get the hang of your new Noibat body which is impressive for a child such as yourself” Teminor complimented her as he saw the loud huge Soundblast she produced from her ears right now which themselves didn’t affect him because he’s a ghost type. “Huh, waaa? Oh thanks Teminor, that was pretty cool using a move like that if I had to be honest” Julia suddenly said as she snapped out of her dopey looking shocked expression and accepted Teminor’s compliment.

“Anyway, it’s seriously now time to leave” Teminor reminded Julia as he now floated behind Julia and settled himself on her back as he wrapped his drape arm around her waist.

Julia followed Teminor’s advice and quickly ran over to the end of the ship while all the pirates were still stunned by her Soundblast from before. Taking in a deep breath, Julia finally walked right over the edge of the large pirate ship and into the sea of opened skies underneath…

After a moment of falling a sort of 10 feet below Derge’s ship, Julia fell through the sky as she started to feel the force of the wind hit her furry face, she closed her eyes to protect them from the force of the incoming wing as she fell.

“Julia deploy your wings out now dear Teminor suddenly called out from her backside as she still has her eyes closed from the impact of the wind against her face. Hearing Teminor’s command, Julia than suddenly deployed both of her wings outward as she finally caught herself from falling and started to flap them to get a equal motion with a little bit of help from Teminor’s levitation until she got the perfect rhythm to keep herself from falling.

Julia then opened up her eyes to see she was now floating perfectly in an endless sea of clouds around her, “I’m floating now?” Julia looked around herself. “Okay this is definitely something too cool that I never thought I would experience” Julia remarked to herself as she never would’ve imagined she would experience the thrill of flying firsthand before, but she was a flying type so it’s basically in her genes now that she would experience flying at some point.

“Focus dear, you can fly all you want when we are both a long distance away from the Malamar’s flying ship. Now uhhh, I honestly have no clue where in the skyseas Derge’s ship is located in to be honest” Teminor let out a worried sigh as Julia froze up for a second from shock after hearing Teminor’s confession.

“W-what do you mean you don’t know where w-we are?!” Julia yelled out to Teminor on her back as she was now worried that they were both lost in an endless sea of clouds with nowhere to go. “Uhhh yeah that’s my fault, though I do have some good news at least” Teminor replied back in a sort of enthusiastic way to an ease the worrying Noibat.

“Which is?” Julia asked back to Teminor curiously. “I haven’t been around the skyseas a lot but I’ve heard from certain flying types that there’s a few clusters of floating islands around the skyseas that lead up to larger islands with cities such as Lightmount, the Starfall Islands to the west, and the Dragolock Islands to note a few. If we both go north, I would guess we would see some sort of landmark that would lead towards the city of Lightmount, if I had to guess” Teminor explained to a curious Julia who was still meanwhile flapping her wings in the same manner for 3 minutes by now.

“Uhhhh okay let’s get goi-“ Julia was suddenly cut off out of nowhere as something hit her with a powerful force that made her lose her flying motion and made her start to fall again failing her wings and tail through the sky.

Catching herself in the air again with her wings, Julia turned around to see that same Starapter of Team Stapper and who was now suddenly patched up, fly straight at her with talons opened. Seeing this, Julia quickly stopped her flying motion and fell a few feet into the clouds to use as cover from the hunting bird.

“Julia quickly fly northward, we should be able to lose him in the clouds if we’re lucky” Teminor quickly suggested to her to which Julia moved herself to the north direction of the clouds or more so a random direction because they had no sort of idea where north was. Spreading out her wings, Julia started to move with the wing as she started to glide with her wing arms.

“For your first time actually flying Julia, you are really getting the hang of it pretty well for a human to be honest dear” Teminor said back to the gliding Noibat.

Using the clouds as cover, Julia flew through some in a random manner to lose that Starapter on her and Teminor’s methodical tail.

The Starapter let out a loud caw sound as he was starting to lock on to the both of them currently with his talons, aiming to grab Julia by the shoulders again but to also knock her out as well. “Julia look out!” Teminor called out to her flank which she immediately dropped herself from flying to avoid the incoming talons of the Starapter. She then looked upward and launched out a wing claw attack from her wings which made didn’t do a lot of damage to the Starapter but has distracted him.

Quickly looking around herself, Julia actually spotted off a small floating island a short distance away from herself that had a tree and some grass on it. Seeing that the Starapter was currently trying stunned from that sudden gust attack, Julia decided to fly over really quick and hid herself and Teminor on her back in the tree’s leaves.

“Good idea dear, now we just have to wait until that Starapter leaves then we can get out of here” Teminor recounted to Julia, “yeah! Now shush here he comes right now”. Julia said as she spotted the Starapter who was looking around the opened skies for her but couldn’t find her because she was in the tree’s leaves. “Please leave please leave” Julia silently prayed in her head for the Starapter to give up finding her and Teminor.

After a stressful 5 minutes of the Starapter looking around the small floating island and the nearby area, he finally gave up finding Julia to which she saw the Starapter let out a fearful caw as he flew back to the Malamar’s flying ship from her ears. “Fuw he’s frankly gone” Julia let out a sigh of relief that the hunting Starapter was finally gone. “That’s great dear, now we can get back on track on heading north” Teminor told Julia.

“Speaking of north, you’re absolutely sure we’re going the right way Teminor because I honestly have zero idea where we’re supposed to go” Julia curiously asked Teminor on her back for a plan.

Floating off of her back, Teminor turned over to Julia and started to talk “Look dear I do have one tip on how to find a way around these sea of clouds that I sorta forgot to mention before. As you already noticed there’s these floating islands around the skies that kinda serve was landmarks that would lead up to a larger island or more clusters of small floating islands, since we’re on a island with grass on it. I would say we’re both class to the city of Lightmount which has a flourishing economy of green around it, as for the city itself I think it’s better that you see it for yourself” Teminor quickly explained to the curious Noibat.

“Uhhh okay I’ll trust your idea for now, since we’re already on a island with grass” Julia jumped down from the branches of the tree to explain her idea better to Teminor who also floated downward. “We keep finding floating islands with grass on them, we should both soon make it to the city of Lightmount. Julia added onto Teminor’s explanation with her own statement as well.

“Hmmmm I see what you mean dear, okay sure let’s just keep going then” Teminor told the Noibat as he again strapped himself to the her back and Julia turned to jump off the edge of the island, continuing their destination to the island of Lightmount city.

Unbeknownst to the two of them though, back on the ship they just left minutes before. The darkened ship of that wretched Malamar was now back in his main courters who’s about to go off the deep end in anger. Judging by how Derge literally flung his desk to the other side of his courters in a rage of anger.

After the failure of that Starapter of team stapper to capture that human turned Noibat who escaped with a powerful Honedge, he actually strangled that Starapter to death right in his tentacles and threw the bird’s now lifeless body overboard as a punishment to the team’s failure. “That Noibat was right in my clutches for a single day and she still somehow escaped a ship filled with brainless Mons” he screamed out as he was still taken aback by how this entire simple plan went down so wrong.

“Okay just come yourself Derge, you can still salvage this plan if you play your cards right. The human would probably have been too weak to handle the transfer spell anyways in her young state, if she evolved into a Noivern though it could probably have worked. So I’ll just have to wait until that happens and I have the perfect person to keep track of her”.

Putting a tentacle to the skull insignia on his chest, he called upon his second in command Hoopa. “Hoopa this is the captain can you hear me?” Derge called out to his second in command in his mindscape. “Yes captain? Do you need something? I’m still down in the cells in the brig punishing the members of Team Stapper from your last order”. Hoopa explained to Derge where he was right now.

“I need you to stop doing that because I have a new assignment for you, we still have that number for that hunter right?” Derge asked the Hoopa. “Yes sir we do, he wrote down his number on a sheet of paper that you mounted up on the right side of your courters remember?” Hoopa explained to Derge as he looked to the right side of him to which revealed the sheet with the number he was looking for.

“Oh right thanks, Derge replied back to the Hoopa on the other side of the call right now. Anyways I’m gonna hire the hunter for a… important assignment. Derge said as he put on a menacing grin as he shuffled over toward the paper and pulled it off of the wall…
