Work Text:
Hannah stood in front of a broken down theatre, a meteor emitted an azure glow, blue goo covered the stage
She stepped forward, she could see a tall man pulling a grenade off a bandolier
The figures around him spoke in sing song voices, their eyes glowing blue
“You wouldn’t do that, Paul.”
“I sure as hell will.” Paul said
Hannah still watched from the sidelines
She heard a familiar warm voice whispering
“Blue blood, singing, apotheosis.”
The figures declared again
“You’ll die too, is that what you want?”
“It doesn’t matter what I want.” Paul spoke
“We think it does, and we wanna hear about it.”
The figures marched forth, stepping closer to Paul, and began to sing.
Hannah watched in terror as the man started to sing with the infected crowd around him
She tried to shout to him
“No, no! bad song! stop! don’t listen!” She screamed
But the man couldn’t hear, it was hopeless
Hannah fell to the floor and covered her ears
“Blue blood, bad song, don’t listen!” She repeated
“Blue blood, bad song, don’t listen!”
“Blue blood, bad song, don’t listen!”
She began to cry as she watched the man pull the pin on a grenade, he shouted
“I don’t like musicals!”
The theatre exploded and Hannah knew the song got to him
“No, no, no, bad song, don’t listen..”
A blinding blue light filled her vision

she felt someone shake her shoulders
She heard a soft male voice as she came to
“Hannah?”
It repeated her name
“Hannah?”
Her eyes opened
“Daniel?” She whispered
“Uh-huh, it’s me.”
Her head laid in his lap, she sat up and looked around, she was at the roller-rama
“Are you alright?” Daniel asked
“N-no.. bad song, don’t listen.”
She stared at a dark room off in the distance
“Don’t listen to him, blue blood.”
Hannah’s breath picked up and she started to rock back and forth hugging her knees
“Shh, shh, shh.. it’s okay, Hannah.” Daniel said
Daniel grasped one of her hands and Hannah squeezed his hand
She squeezed his hand a few more times and her breath went back to normal, she stopped rocking back and forth
Hannah rested her head on his shoulder
“That’s it..” Daniel said, pulling her closer
Hannah fidgeted with one of her braids and started to calm down, Daniel whispered
“Did you have a vision?”
“Uh-huh..” Hannah muttered
“I have those too sometimes.” Daniel admitted
“Webby, vision, bad song.” Hannah spoke
Hannah snuggled closer
“Are you alright now, Hannah?” Daniel asked softly
“Uh-huh..”
Hannah wrapped her arms around him
“Thank you, Daniel, good friend.”
“You’re a good friend too, Hannah.” Daniel remarked
“Can I lay back down? need rest..” Hannah asked
“Sure!”
Hannah laid her head back down in his lap
He softly stroked her hair
she clutched his hand again
“Sleep well, Hannah.”
“Uh-huh, love you..” Hannah sleepily murmured
Daniel grinned
“Love you too.”
