Tony wakes suddenly, his head flying up from its previous position of lying in the steadily growing puddle of drool on his workbench.
He rubs his sleep-weary eyes and feels something laid across his shoulders shift. Blinking, he grabs the weight.
A soft, warm blanket had been draped over his shoulders while he slept.
Tony sighs.
He gets up from his stool and walks over to where Dum-E and U would be, blanket bundled under one arm.
'Where did they find this?'
...If they ruined another one of Pepper's expensive-
Tony stops short.
Dum-E and U have blankets of their own carefully covering them. Placed so carefully and with such loving attentiveness that they couldn't have been the ones to have acquired the blankets or laid them. It was a good day when they didn't knock something over or get overzealous with their claws. But he loved them.
Tony looks around his workshop, looking around for clues. His eyes land on JARVIS' server racks. A blanket was drawn across them too, with knitted holes purposely sized and shaped so as not to impede the vents and fans.
Tony's heart beats fast. Warm.
"Who...?" he asks.
"Captain Rogers, Sir."
Oh.
