Chapter 1: The New Trapped Guest
Chapter Text
She was running as fast as she could, the sweat and tears trickling down her cold body— sweeping through each corner she could find, dashing through each hallway she could perceive, the blood rushing in her veins. She paused.
There was a small door, perhaps the size only she herself could fit in, or someone a LITTLE bit taller. ‘perfect’ she thought, was just the thing she needed to get away from, well, HIM. Staring at the door she noticed its design— dark brown wood like texture with a giant, light indigo, silky ribbon on the handle, the rim of the door was also in a dark almost black indigo shade, almost like the cloak she was wearing now.
Wait, why was she even wearing a cloak? She doesn't remember ever putting it on nor does she remember anything before she got here. Well, she can't really get it off due to her.. Non existent arms. But that's fine! The cloak was keeping her warm anyway! Maybe? Her body was so tense she couldn't really tell anymore.
Wait! Why was she getting off track?! She's literally on the run!
She reached out her leg and held it on the doorknob using the most of her force she had left in there to urge it open, the second it managed to whoosh open and she crawled in as fast as she could then got up and slammed the door. There was no lock on the door which was inconvenient but besides she doubted that anyone would be able to find her anyway!
She looked at the room she was in— it was filled with mixes of grays and other shades of black basically monotone. The room seemed to be a bedroom. It was decent but a little messy like someone had already been here before— she looked at the side table that was next to the bed which had sheets that were not properly folded, still better than what she could do but that wasn't the point.
Staring at the bedside table— there was a photo frame of a few objects, around 5.
She couldn't tell what some of the objects were, one was like a statute the other was a… book? And maybe that one was a mirror! Or not.. It was too cracked to see your reflection in probably. And that one next to the little ringy bell thing was a weird red looking shape with sticks in their head-
“Oh dear! Now what are we doing snooping in other people's business?” A random voice behind her whispered. “Now we cant be doing that now!” She turned around in shock to see the funky hat guy she was running from in the first place— His colors were yellow and red with a line in the middle separating the colors— little bells were on the corners on his sides tied with orange ribbons. He was holding a staff with a giant gold bell on it which also had an orange bow on it.
“Ah- AHHHHH THE WEIRD SCARY HAT M-” Her mouth was all of a sudden glue shut. She also was unable to move, weird. She felt like moving and speaking but she couldn't.. Was it the creepy hat man doing? She looked up at him— He was looking through some funky looking scroll that was first and brown but still somehow was able to glow.
“Corky Prescott? I'm guessing that's your name.. Can't really tell what your object is.. Are you a corky?” He said, rolling the scroll back up. “Is a corky even an object?” Corky was weirded out by this, was that even her name? She doesn't even remember anything if she's going to be honest.
“I- uhm.” She finally was able to speak again. “I'm a cork”
“OH! That makes more sense! Couldn't tell because of that GiAaAaAnt cloak you're wearing!” He bursted out— still somehow joyful and full of energy. “hehe yeah I don't think a corky is an object, why would i think that, stupid, stupid.” He mumbled to himself, slightly tapping his head with his staff. “Well then, Your name is Corky! Since there is no Cork on this list! And besides, it's a cute name! I personally think it suits you!” Pointing the staff to Corky which made her jerk up a little.
“What am I doing here?.. What's going on here?” Corky questioned the ‘mystery hat guy’.
“Oh! I was going to ask you that!” Corky looked back at him confused— Did he not even know? “SO! What are you doing rummaging in your trap-mate’s room?”
“Wh- NO! That's not what I meant!” Corky cried out. “What am I doing here! You should know what I'm talking about!”
“Don't fret! I know what you mean! I was joking! Do you not know what a joke is?” He replied back using the staff to stroke the top of her head.
“So can you PLEASE explain what's going on?!” But before Corky could say anything else the hat dude held her cloak and they disappeared somewhere.
~
Corky falls to her knees, tired and genuinely shocked. She didn't know objects could teleport but then again.. That's probably how he managed to get to her hiding spot without him knowing.
“Why Corkus Boycus, why don't we give you a proper introduction!” The hat guy twirled, stepping back a few inches away from Corky so she could get a better view of the place. “For I am Jester Hat! Sir J.H. if you please. And YOU my friend are in column ‘CIRCUS’ in the saviour Dimension!”
Corky stood silently slightly opening her mouth like she was going to say something but changed her mind. The place she was in was where she first woke up, she never got to get a good look at it due to her panicking and running in a random direction but now she can't help staring at the area.
Corky snapped out of her awe and decided to get back on track. “I'm sorry sir, but that still doesn't answer my question! What am I doing here?”
“Oooo, my you are very curious aren't you! But sadly I'm not the one who enjoys explaining!” Jester Hat said shrugging his shoulders in a casual manner. “BUT before you lose your hopes, I'll call one of my trappers here! I'm sure you'll like her!”
J.H. took his staff and slightly banged it on the floor— then all of a sudden a red object with sticks coming out of them appeared, they looked like they were busy doing something, holding something perhaps while talking to someone.
“My coffee…” the object sadly replied holding themselves back in a normal stance— She turned around to look at Jester Hat and Corky. “Oh why hello there-” Her voice was cut off by J.H.
“This is one of my trapped clients in this column just like YOU she should explain everything you need to know!”
“I will? Oh, wait, uh- mhm, I will.” She walked up next to Corky and crouched in front of her so they could meet face to face. “I'm Incense, it's a pleasure to meet you.” She seemed sweet, Corky thought.
“Well then go along you two!” J.H. exclaimed, pushing them to a giant door. Corky stared in awe as the door was SO HUGE! It was practically 10 or 20 times her height, like a door to a castle!
Jester Hat tapped his staff on the floor and the doors slowly opened.
“Well then..” Incense paused.
“Corky!” Corky replied, she wasn't sure if that was her actual name but its best to just stick with it for now.
“Very well then Corky, lets go!”

Chapter Text
Corky looked out of the door— It was just white, pitch white, like some sort of white void. Corky looked back behind her to see that JH had already disappeared, likely teleported. She then turned back to see that Incense had already stepped out on the white area— Incense looked back.
“Well I said ‘let's go’! Come along now Corky!” Incense exclaimed calmly. “Is there something bothering?” Corky thought— What if she doesn't float like how Incense does? What if she dies?
“I'm scared.” Those were the only words she was able to mumble out.
“Do you want me to hold on to you?”
Corky was slightly confused about the request. I mean she didn't have arms! What would she hold? “Sure?..” She answered back at her. Incense then grabbed the end of her cloak and slightly nudged it insisting it was now safe for her to move.
Corky then shut her eyes and walked forward then she paused when she felt nothing under her feet— it didn't have a falling feeling but she knew there was nothing there. Corky slightly opened her eyes in fear and mumbled uneasy noises. Incense noticed and took a pause also. “It's okay, just keep walking, you can open your eyes when you feel comfortable. You aren't the first person that has reacted like this”
Corky slowly nodded and closed her eyes again, this time a bit softer. Incense carefully tugged her cloak again, hinting her to walk. They walked about what seemed like.. 5 minutes? It wasn't that long Corky was sure of that but she never really was able to tell the time, especially since there weren't any clocks here as far as she knew.
Corky opened her eyes slowly, still walking beside Incense— She looked around. The white looking void was no longer hollow and empty, it had giant doors like the one that was in column ‘CIRCUS’ entrance. Corky's head wall bubbled up with so many questions, I mean it wouldn't hurt to ask Incense about some right? Jester Hat did say himself that she WOULD answer ALL her questions..
“Can I ask you ANYTHING?” Corky asked blurting it out randomly— very unexpectedly also.
“Oh I- yes.” incense replied back not expecting her to talk this whole entire walk.
“Where are we going?” Corky asked immediately.
“To the head room of the system to figure out why you are here.”
That definitely answered more than one of her questions which was good.
“You.. uh.. You said that I wasn't the first one to ‘react like this’ wadda that mean?”
“Well.. hmm.. Look, let's get this straight. You and I are what is called a trapped, a trapped is a certain object that has a negative trait that controls their whole body. Then you are sent here so you can get rid of the trait and you can't leave till you have the trait COMPLETELY gone, that is Sir Jesters job, he is sort of like.. A therapist in some way, a mentor! And to answer your question, there are more of us, I even had to lead two here just like I'm doing now!”
Corky was confused, why was she here? She was sure there wasn't anything really negative about her, it also was confusing how Incense was here? What's wrong about her?
Another question popped up in Corky’s head. “What are all these doors for?”
“Oh, these doors are for other columns! As you already know we are column ‘CIRCUS’ there are others just like Sir Jester!” She chuckled a bit. “Y’know you are quite lucky to be a client of his, sure he's quite annoying but the disadvantages he puts on us aren't as harsh as the others.”
“Disadvantages?” Incense nodded back at Corky.
“Disadvantages are little trinkets apart from us that, well, stop us from misbehaving, like doing our negative trait!” Incense continued. “ See, I have these sticks and anytime I follow my negative trait a little bit of it falls off.”
“What happens if all of it disappears?”
“Oh- I- I never..” Incense thought up an answer to tell Corky. “I just choose not to disobey the rules, It's best to just follow them!”
“So wh-” Corky tried to find a way she could word the sentence. “Who are our other.. uh- trap-mates?” She used the word she heard Jester Hat say to her.
“Oh well, there's quite a few of us! Right now 6 including you and me! There's Service Bell, Statuette, Mirror, and Yearbook! There's obviously more but those are the ones that are trap-mates with us in column ‘CIRCUS’.” Incense explained. “They aren't the sweetest of the bunch, specifically service bell and statuette.. but I'm sure you'll all get along!”
Corky thought about the photo frame in the mystery objects bedroom, that must've been the bedroom of one of them. Another question swirled in Corkys head.
“How long have you been here?”
“Hmm.. lost track, last time I checked, around 80 years-”
“80 YEARS!?” Corky screamed, taking a pause in her track.
“Trust me, if you think THAT is long you should've seen how long Service Bell has been here for.. I think it was around 100 years- or was it 200..”
“H- I- WHAT?” Corky was at a loss of words. Was she really going to be stuck here for that long? She didn't want to be here! Sure the people were nice and caring but she wanted to be FREE not TRAPPED!
Incense sighed, she was still holding on to Corky's cloak. “Here, look at it from this perspective.” She faced Corky and crouched down to her height still holding the end of her cloak. “If what you are trying to achieve is an escape then think about what is your escape, you never know, your life could be better here than it was in the real world.”
Corky stared at the floor thinking about what Incense had said for a second. “Is that why you don't really try to leave?” Corky asked, looking back up at Incense again.
She chuckled. “You catch on quick Corky.” She stood back up smiling sweetly. “That's a good habit to have.”
The both of them decided to continue to walk quietly— I'm sure enough questions were answered for now.

Chapter Text
After what seemed to be forever, according to Corky, they had finally stopped.
The two of them looked up to see a giant gold and silver entrance, it’d hurt to look at it but Corky wasn't really able to stop, it was beautiful after all. While Corky was staring in awe Incense loudly knocked on the door. The door opened slowly to reveal another white like void except there were white pillars, gold rims on almost everything, and everything and everyone was geometrical and squarey.
Both Incense and Corky stepped inside— The second they did they became shaped like the other objects in the void. Corky wiggled on of her ‘square like’ feet admiring the change. “Woah! We’re all pointy and sharp now!”
“I think the term you're looking for is ‘2D Geometric’ but this is cool right!” Incense corrected. ‘Smart..’ Corky thought to herself. They walked through the halls as if they hadn't already walked enough. They passed other objects who were geometrical like them.
They soon made another stop at a place where it didn't look as different from the other places it did have a different aura from it, like an effect, it wasn't an enticing feeling but it wasn't the worst. Corky then saw an object that looked like a pot of some sort— White with gold rims and seemingly larger compared to the other objects they have ever seen. She was busy occupying herself at a table with broken shards. Perhaps she was trying to glue it back together.
“Hello Ms.Vase, we’ve been sent by J.H. to talk about the new trapper!” Incense said bowing down. The vase looked down at her slightly dazed.
“Oh, you don't have to go down, please get up Incense.” Incense got up immediately. “So, what do we have here? Column ‘CIRCUS’ already has another one trapped, so soon? I mean the book and mirror just came.” The vase said looking at Corky. Corky was about to say something before she got interrupted.
“Ms. Vase, Mirror came here 40 years ago and yearbook came 20 years ago.” Incense corrected.
The Vase giggled. “You know that isn't that long, right? Just let me meet the trapped now already!” She said in a chirpy tone with an echo-like effect anytime she talked. Corky perked up.
“Oh uhm, I'm Corky, Corky Prescott! And you are Ms. Vase if i'm correct?”
“Please, call me Vasey. Now let's get to the important part. Why are you here, dear?” Vasey questioned.
“That's the thing Ms. Vase, J.H. sent us here so you could help us figure it out!” Incense remarked back at Vasey’s question. Corky was confused on why Incense was still calling Vasey ‘Ms. Vase’ still but right now she wanted to focus more on what was important.
“Hm, Of course, Silly Jester Hat can't do a simple task once again, he has the full ability to figure it out himself. Avast then, let's go!” Vasey exclaimed, strolling to another section of the room where they had many file cabinets, Both Incense and Corky followed her. Vasey searched in a cabinet in the letter ‘C’ section likely searching for the file in the order of name.
“Aha! Corky Prescott, hmm.. Your file is definitely smaller than I was expecting..” Vasey bolted while skimming through the lined pages of the file.
“Found it, here look at you two.” She said nudging the two objects to come in closer so they could get a better view for themselves. She points at a specific part of the page— it was a slightly bold subheading where the rest of the words under it explained why Corky was here.
“It says you are here for being… ‘too loud’ and ‘never being able to see the problem in something’, that's weird..” Vasey looked at Corky, Corky looked back. “I mean you don't seem like the object to talk much.”
“I mean, Maybe I am? I don't really remember anything..” Corky explained.
“I mean, yeah, I understand that but in order to even be here you need to be like the LOUDEST object or something I mean you didn't even talk until someone asked you to.” Vasey stated. Vasey looked closer into the files pages skimming through most of them, mumbling. “Maybe there was a bug in the system or something..”
Both Incense and Corky were backing away from Vasey obviously seeing she was a little panicked and frustrated right now to give her some space.
“Well Corky, I think our problem is solved! Let's go back to the ‘CIRCUS’ now shall we!”
“But we haven't solved it! I dont think I'm even supposed to be h-” Corky shouted back at Incense before she was cut off.
“Haha! Sorry Ms. Vase but I think we should be heading off now! I mean we still have to introduce Corky to her other trap-mates!”
Vasey looked away from the folder and stared at the two objects in a blank expression. “Oh, okay, Please come back though! We still need to solve this problem.”
“HAHAHA!! Okay Ms. Vase we shall see you LATER!!” Incense chirped while dragging Corky’s cloak to the exit.
After they finally got out of the other white void and back into their NON-geometrical bodies they paused to take a breather.
“Wh-Why did you do that?” Corky asked, obviously confused— She didn't understand, she knew that Vasey was kinda confused during the time but she did not seem like she was going to flip the whole world on one side because of it, but that's how Incense acted.
“I don't know. Deja Vu I'm guessing though!” Incense squeaked.
Incense changed the topic. “Well like I said we still need to visit your Trap-mates!” She grabbed Corky's cloak. Corky groaned at this, she was not in the mood to walk all the way back, especially since she now knows how long it's going to be. But still the two of them started walking back.
She was already unable to keep track of the time here which was a big disadvantage. She decided maybe she should start thinking about her trap-mates or something. Worst for the worst happens and they're just really mean or something— Was definitely not looking forward to that. She thought back to the photo frame in the bedroom, the book and mirror seemed nice, Yearbook and Mirror were their names right? She remembered Incense and Vasey talking about them. She should definitely talk to them first when given the chance, plus they are recent ones like her! Well not really recent ones but it still counts!
She just hopes that people here won't be.. That bad.

Chapter Text
Corkys POV
Sweat was trickling down my sides, we had finally made it back to this.. Column ‘CIRCUS’ I think it was called?
I'm not so sure.. Besides that point I feel like the majority of the time I have been here I've been just walking! I mean even my legs are tired! I could quite literally die of exhaustion, wait I don't think you can even die here? I think Ms. Incense said that, or was it the weird Jester Hat guy, or maybe I'm just making it all up!
Aw man am I explaining too much? I'm not even talking to anyone! WHO AM I EXPLAINING THIS T-
“Hey Corky!?” Incense said, snapping her fingers in my face. I stepped back blinking trying to make about the environment around me.
“Come along now Cork we need to find Jester Hat…” She directed, putting her hands on her hip while searching the room. “Now where could he be… He should be somewhere around here.” She kept mumbling stuff continuously around that topic while I stared at the tapestries on the walls.
Every single place I laid my eyes upon was never plain, there was always something colorful or mind-boggling to look at. It was nice but it did have an overuse of the colors red and yellow, i mean that's coming from an object whose favourite color is yellow! I think. Well it is now, and likely won't be after a while since of how much i am seeing it.
Despite the overuse of some colors it still was able to share some other places for color! The only thing that was black and white was the floor and its checkered pattern, like it was a chessboard, or a cartoon kitchen floor! Except not all cartoons stuck with that rule. Well also that bedroom yeah that had some grays in it!
Okay maybe im getting offtopic, we’re looking for the J.H. guy right, wait no, Incense is looking for the J.H. guy. Wait my mistake, she said we had to both find him, she didn't really ask though. Aw, but I like looking at the walls, they’re pretty! I wonder who designed this place, I'm quite impressed. Before I could continue admiring the art of the place I heard Incense loudly groan.
“Hey Corky!” I heard her shout. “You see that bell thing over there!?” She said pointing somewhere next to me. I looked to where she was directing to see some kind of indent on the wall where a small bright golden bell held.
“This one?!” I shouted back at Incense despite it being quite obvious that that was the bell she was talking about.
“Yup that's the one!” She confirmed. “Now do you see the string attached to it?” When she said that, I looked to see a bronze colored rope attached to the bell.
“Yup! I should pull it right?” I reached up and tried to grab the rope. Wait, I don't have arms. And my legs for sure can't reach that high.
“Yeah! You can do that right?” She questioned obviously not being able to see the current situation I'm in.
“Yeah of course!” Why did I just say that…
I jumped, bit the rope and tugged it, as much as I hated doing that it had to be done. I then heard the bells ringing, it was more of a high pitch jingling noise if I was being honest. I turned over to look back at Incense who gave me a small smile and a thumbs up.
“So what does that do?” I asked Incense, walking up to her slowly but making a pace.
“Oh those are ‘The Bells’ they are everywhere around here at least one in each room! It should ca-” Before she could finish Jester Hat popped out of thin air between us which made me stumble back a bit, Incense was slightly unfazed by this, she was probably used to it already.
“Yoooohoo!!” He sang out loud. “My what are you ladies doing back so early?” he twirled around to look at the both of us.
“Oh! Uh. We just had some inconveniences and Ms. Vase told us to leave a bit early! I'm sure she’ll call for another visit.” Incense explained, well it wasn't really the exact truth but it was close enough.
“Sooooo… What reason are you here for then?” Jester Hat impatiently asked, obviously holding some curiosity in the situation. I looked at him since he turned directly at me, no longer having his eyes on Incense.
“Oh uh..”
“We weren't able to figure it out.” I blurted out as Incense stared at me in confusion, more of a ‘what the heck are you talking about’ expression.
“Oh is that so?” Jester Hat said, eyeing Corky. “Well that's a shame indeed.”
“ANYYYWAYYYS what are you two up to now?” He said somehow easily changing his mood, moodswings, I get them a lot also!
“I was going to show Corky to the others!” Incense exclaimed. “In Fact that's why we called you here, could you tell us where each person is?”
“Statuette’s in the kitchen cleaning some-”
“Still?” Incense questioned with a slightly worried expression.
“DO NOT INTERRUPT ME!” Jester Hat yelled with a slightly whiny tone, as if he didn't interrupt us many times before.
“Yearbook and Mirror are in the museum doing who knows what!” he said, shrugging still with a positive look.
“And?” I asked standing on my tippy toes. If I was correct, wasn't there another person here?
“And.. What?” Jester Hat shot back mimicking my question.
“Isn't there another person here?”
“OH YEAH!” He bolted up. “Incense is right here!” He booped Incense on her head, she crossed her arms like some parent who was tired of her kids lollygagging.
“She's talking about Service Bell.” Incense said while slowly pushing Jester Hat’s hand away from her.
“Oh Service Bell! Silly me, I completely forgot!” Jester Hat exclaimed in a sarcastic voice. “Y'know her! Hah, always in her room.. Or wandering.. Or doing something to the normal objects daily activities to survive in a well built society.” He said playfully bumping Incense with his elbow with his usual large smile.
“Okay… You can go now.” Incense annoyed, pushed Jester Hat away from her again. “Well then guess we’re going to the kitchen! I need to go help Statuette with something.” She then grabbed the back of my head? Then pushed me forward insisting for the two of us to leave if I was correct.
“W-well alright then! You two have fun without me then!” He said angrily, shooing us away with his hand.
No ones POV
As Corky and Incense started walking through the hallways Corky couldn't help but feel a bit hopeful and less nervous in fact she felt quite energetic even after all that walking.
She was also convinced that she had been through this hallway before, when she was on the run in the beginning to be specific. Heck, I think the only thing she should be questioning is where she is going to find a damn map of this place.
Before they knew it they made it to the kitchen. The doors to the kitchen were similar to the ones they have seen before— Brown wood like texture with a yellow and red striped rim while the handle was a shade of bronzeish gold. Somewhere around that.
Incense softly grabbed the handle to the door and pushed it open. The kitchen floor was covered in light brown wood tiles with different sizes not keeping a pattern. Everywhere you looked there seemed to be a potted plant almost like if you were in a real house— Very different from the rest of the place.
There in the middle of the kitchen was an object standing staring as a pile of broken glass with a blank slightly irritated expression. They were completely gray of stone and seemed to be a statue replica of a human's head. She had her stone hair wrapped in a bun, the only part with color was the gold coins and dollar bills stuck on her ‘hair’.
“S-statuette, what are you doing?” Incense said, staring at her in confusion. The object— Statuette turned to look at Incense with a slight shock of relief and anger.
“Incense where the fuck did you go!?” She screamed before stopping to look at Corky in confusion. “Wha- Who are you!?”
“Calm down Statuette, this is Corky, the new trap-mate.” Incense explained using both her hands to put Corky in the spotlight. Corky tried to yelp out a loud ‘Hi’ but changed her mind and just gave a large awkward smile.+
“Okay, Uhm. Hi.” Statuette mumbled, obviously too irritated to interact with her. “Now that doesn't explain where YOU went!” She loudly blurted out quickly changing the topic back. She quickly walked up in front of Incense tso she could get a better look of how upset she was.
“Jester Hat teleported me to him so I could introduce Corky to Ms. Vase, Isn't that already obvious?” Incense explained as Statuette slightly backed away.
“Right, I knew that.” Statuette sneered as she crossed her arms. Incense couldn't help but chuckle a bit though she quickly picked herself back together and looked back at the mess.
“Why didn’t you clean the mess?” Incense asked, obviously stating the broken coffee mug that has been shattered to pieces on the kitchen floor.
“I didn't make the mess.” Statuette ‘answered’.
“Well then, Corky, you want to help me?” Incense requested, putting her hands on her hips while looking slightly down at Corky.
“Oh, Of course!” Corky exclaimed finally being able to do something, she was starting to get bored from their conversation.
The two objects walked to the corner where the cleaning supplies were. Statuette leaned across the wall near the kitchen doors watching both Corky and Incense clean the mess.
After a while— around 10 minutes, wasn't really that long.
“Well, it looks like we’re done now.” Incense said washing her hands off i'm the sink. “Well let's go see Mirror and Yearbook now shall we, Corky?” she asked despite it being obvious it really wasn't a question. Before Corky could agree with Incense she got cut off by Statuette.
“Wait!” Both the objects stopped in their tracks to look at Statuette. “You still need to make my Coffee.”
“Statuette, you can do it yourself.” Incense groaned, turning to look back at Statuette.
“I know. But I like the way you do it.” Statuette explained.
“It's a coffee machine.”
“Then you explain how you make it taste good.” Statuette complained, crossing her arms together.
“Fine then, Sorry Corky.” Incense said, nudging Corky a bit with her elbow before going to the counter. If Corky wasn't upset, and to be completely honest she wasn't disappointed in the slightest, she could care less. She leaned on the wall next to Statuette not knowing where else to go.
“So..” Statuette said, trying to make small talk. “What are you here for?” Corky looked slightly up at Statuette and was slightly startled that she was deciding to talk to her but quite happy the least, I mean besides her being happy most of the time.
“Sorry I sound like I'm asking this like we’re prison jail mates or something.”
“I'm here for being too ‘too loud’ and ‘never seeing the problem in things’” Corky explained, copying exactly off of Vasey’s own words.
“Well…What about you?” She questioned building up a big smile of curiosity.
“Ehh.. Greed.” Statuette sneered. “Nothing better than what you were expecting, I know.”
“Well I mean it's not SO bad…” Corky said, trying to bring the mood up—- Statuette just narrowed Corky with confusion.
“So how long have ya been here for?” Corky asked, getting up on her tippy toes.
“Dunno like 60, 70 years? Lost track.” Statuette mumbled trying to remember. Corky was shocked about the answer but she should've seen it coming especially due to how long Incense was here for.
Corky was thinking of more interesting questions she could ask Statuette but then she saw Incense walking up to the two of them holding a white mug of coffee—- She gives the Coffee to Statuette and looks at Corky.
“Well now we’re done! Let's go Corky.”
“Wait!” Statuette blurted out. Both Incense and Corky looked at Statuette who was still holding her cup of coffee. “Could I come with you guys, I have nothing to do and I’m really fucking bored.”
“Is it really that hard to not curse?” Incense said crossing her arms while slightly irritated.
“Yeah kinda.” Statuette said impatiently. “Question still stands.”
“Sure, but you should know before you change your mind that we’re just going to see-”
“Mirror and Yearbook? Yeah you've said that already when you came here.” Statuette explained while taking a sip from her cup.
“Yeah Statuette you should come, it'd be even more fun with more objects joining!” Corky exclaimed positively butting into the two friends' conversation.
“Yeah Incense, listen to the Cork.” Statuette said, taking another sip from her cup. Incense took her hands off her hips and put her hand on the doorknob—- Still looking at both Statuette and Corky.
“I already said ‘sure’ now let's get going, I don't like to keep people waiting.” Incense faced towards the door and opened it fully so the other two could walk through with her— And them, understanding what Incense was hinting at, walked through.
“Calm down, they don't even know we’re coming.” Statuette explains after taking another sip, once again, from her cup still not even halfway through finishing it.
Incense closed the door and walked towards the museum as Statuette and Corky followed her. During this Corky had an urge to ask questions about Mirror and Yearbook but she didn't want to recreate the walk through the white void since that was kind of awkward.
“Also don’t worry if YB and Mirror don’t talk to you much, they’re ‘friends’.” Statuette explains like she was able to read Corkys mind— Even though she couldn't, she just knew, somehow. “They’re relationship is weird, heck I've never really seen people ‘that close’.” Statuette says taking a sip from her coffee.
“Well.. are they at least nice?” Corky asks since Statuette kinda started the topic between the two people. “I mean not like I’m suspecting they’re rude or anything of course but y'know I was just m-”
“Okay, I am starting to see the ‘too loud’ part you were talking about now.”
Corky, a bit startled, stops talking. Now things are starting to come into place, she does talk a lot! Why didn't she talk in the beginning? Maybe she was scared or something! Even more questions swarmed in her head, nothing negative or something like that.
‘Oh, to answer your question, yeah they're pretty nice.” Statuette answers a little less confidently. “Actually if I think about it I'm pretty sure Yearbook’s the nicest one here..” she added quietly after.
“Okay! That's good!” Corky yelped. “I'm sure they’ll be fun to hang around! And if not I'll always have you guys!” She said with a giant smile on her face.
“Yeah.” Statuette replies, not knowing how she could respond.
Soon after a while the three met at the museum door. Corky looked at it, mesmerized.
“Y’know I’m confused.” Corky blurts out. “How are you guys even able to fit a WHOLE museum in here?”
“Oh that's simple Cork, The COLUMs are infinite voids that can be adjusted, without counting physics and all the sciencey stuff, the weird stuff.” Statuette explains seeming quite bored by even mentioning the voids.
“Hm, quite cool isn't it Corky.” Incense said after chuckling a bit— elbowing Corky softly.
“Well let's go!” Incense said opening the doors quickly compared to the other doors she's been opening. The room inside was filled with grays beside the little enclosures strapped inside the walls which were filled inside with shades of green plants or animals.
“Woah..” Corky said softly eyes glittering in awe. She immediately ran to one of the little enclosures on the walls and placed her face against the glass.
Looking into it she could see a little glowing lizard?? With neon pink spots and a green body, it had purple circles under its eyes like it was eyeliner and golden like pupils.
“W-what? I thought this was a ‘museum’?” Corky questioned separating face away from the glass. “Not a zoo.”
“Corky, i’m pretty sure a ‘zoo’ is a museum to showcase animals.Besides there isnt just animals here there's other stuff like history or something.” Statuette explains with a dead face expression before taking another sip of her coffee. “Oh.” Statuette mumbles to herself after realizing that the cup was now completely empty.
“Well, don’t you guys get bored coming here to look at the same things over and over again?” Corky asks, turning back to face Incense who was looking at a poster.
“That’s the thing Corky, Jester Hat takes everything from many and multiple universes and different worlds, and every morning it changes automatically! So that way we'll always have something new to see!” She explains looking away from the poster.
“Well what if you guys run out?” Corky questions.
“Cork girl, I’m pretty sure there's an infinite amount of universes and world. I doubt we’d run out.” Statuette explains placing her white mug on a side table that was near the door.
‘Oh. I never knew that.” Corky says blankly as Statuette slaps her forehead with her palm.
“Well, anyway, what is that guy then?” Corky says, turning back to the glass enclosure and pointing at it with her leg.
“Hm.” Incense moves closer to Corky and the glass to see a better look. “That's the uh.. I can’t pronounce it.. BUT it’s an exioztile that eats people's brains with its mind if you look at it directly in its eyes PLUS it's one of the last of its kind!”
“WOAH! I wanna try!” Corky eagerly yelps before Incense covers her eyes.
“Wh- How do you know that?..” Statuette asks, leaning on the wall next to the door.
“oh , no I don't, I’m just reading off the board here.” She explains pointing to the little board right next to the glass of the animal.
“Oh. yeah, yeah that makes more sense.” Statuette says— Not shocked.
“Guys we’re getting distracted, now let's go find Mirror and Yearbook.” Incense explains breaking away from the topic of un-universal animals while letting her hands go away from Corky’s eyes..
“Well where could they be? Wait! Maybe Jester Hat would kn-” Corky tried to say another thing once again before getting cut off.
“They’re over in the ‘UNIVERSE-098.67.2 Exotic Butterfly History Walkthrough Enclosure’, look, it says it right over there.” Statuette randomly blurts out pointing to the map that was so conveniently placed above the table that she put her mug on.
“But, How do you know they’re even there?” Incense questioned her, obviously confused.
“Knowing them, they’re probably taking pictures near somewhere with a lot of flowers or whatever, and butterflies like flowers, I think, so they should be there.
“But that can’t be the only place with flowers, right?” Incense said stepping closer to the map.
“None of them say anything about flowers, look, I’m just trying to put some ‘logic’ here.” She says, answering Incense’s question.
“It’s worth a shot!” Corky says squishing herself in between both objects.
“Yeah Incense you need to start listening to the Cork more.”
“Fine let's go then.” Incense sighs with a slight forced smile.
“Yay! LET'S GO!!” Corky says, almost running in the wrong fucking direction.
“:Corky! Wrong way!” Incense shouted grabbing the end of Corky’s cloak. “Geez, you’ve gotten a lot more talkative and energetic than before.” Incense said, sighing. “Guess the files are always right!”
“Okay, Okay, can we go now!” Statuette says, annoyed while crossing her arms.
“Yes!!” Corky screamed as Corky ran—- the right direction. The other two objects tiredly followed her not being able to catch up with her energy.

Chapter 5: So.
Chapter Text
Sooo.. im pretty sure that all of you have heard about the recent Cole incident. Now, will this be affecting this fic?
Well, don’t worry because I still plan on finishing this fic! Even though Cole has done some pretty bad stuff im too attached to the characters and its show, if to be more specific, THIS FIC.
So for now let’s separate the art from their horrible artists and continue loving what we love!
So with that info Savior Strangers is NOT cancelled!
- marshie (author)
CHAPTER EDIT
change of plans sadly but im cancelling this small project! as much as i really enjoyed writing this fic i lost motivation on object shows since none of my favorite shows were being updated anytime soon... i might still make c2bc one shots here and there but dont expect me to make a big series like this ever again for this show
with that being said that doesnt mean ill leave you with a cliffhanger, when i get the time I will make a small 1 chapter recap on what was to happen in this story.
but with that being done and said Savior Strangers IS cancelled!
- still marshie just a few months later
