Chapter 1: Deal
Chapter Text
She told her not to do that. She told her Love spells were bad and evil but when does she ever listens to her. This time Agatha was furious at her best friend and she could understand why Tedros, despite her absolutely hate for him, was angry with Sophie. But unfortunately he was the only ticket for her to go home. She hated the idea of her best friend being in love with a pompous prick but Sophie wanted only him because Sophie thought he was the only "worthy enough person" to get her and her true love.
She was willing to do anything for sophie so when Sophie asked her what she should do in between her sobs, she became willing to help her in any way possible even if she had to talk and apologise to the very person she hated very much in this school; who called her witch multiple time and who made that pillow dummy of her and shot an arrow at it.
She had told Sophie to flaunt her assets and she came the next day in a revealing dress to make Tedros love her but it seemed it wasn't working very well. He wasn't much interested which was surprising because she thought he was of the type to only like girls for their beauty but maybe even that pompous jerk had some morals. Moreover, Agatha had some belief that every man or woman despite being the shallowest of the people still cared a little about things other than their appearances however her flame of this belief was going very feeble now after entering this school. She still told Sophie to show him her kindness and other qualities just in case if he was any better than the rest.
Agatha told Sophie to apologise but she refused and was adamant that he would come back to her because "she is the only one beautiful enough for him". So at last Agatha had to be the one to apologise.
History class had just ended. They had just been handed out their test results and funnily enough Agatha, a reader ranked 1st in the test and knew more about their history then actual fairy tale princes and princesses. Tedros didn't score very good and was kind of worried. That witch had scored better than him. If it was any other girl, she would have happily helped him but her, he knew she would laugh at and humiliate him in front of whole school if he expressed that thought. He was walking towards the main lawn for lunch when he heard her voice.
"Excuse me Tedros" she called him from behind with her usual "why am I in this bullshit place" expression.
"Can I speak to you for a second? Alone?"
"Why because now you also have love feelings for me like all evergirls?" He said with a cocky smile.
She clenched her jaw. "Yeah I would have them when Sophie becomes an ugly witch and destroys the school so never"
Yeah this is going to be very hard.
"Anyways I just want to talk about Sophie and I will very much like if I don't have to talk in front of others" if she's going to apologise at least she would want her humiliation to not be public although she was pretty sure that Tedros would make fun of her and tell the whole school about it but it was her only chance to get away from these people and that's why she was standing in front of him in the first place and also because Sophie wanted this.
"You know I would do that if your friend didn't just tried to put a love spell on me and I didn't have my doubts that you would do the same." Tedros replied but now his expression was serious.
"First, I can't do that because spells are locked for students and second because I consider them useless and third because I am very much against them and consider them immoral." Agatha replied.
"Then why you let your dearie "friend" to do that?" Tedros said.
He wasn't going to talk to her in a secluded place. If she had endured all the hate spewed on her in her own village and in this school she can endure the humiliation too if someone overhears however much of the boys and girls had gone for lunch now.
"That's exactly what I am here to talk about. I told her not to do that and I told her how wrong it was and I thought she had understood and won't do such a thing but she did and I want you to know that I wasn't a part of it in any way and didn't want this for you or for anybody. And I want to uhhhh ..... apologise to you on her behalf." she was now fidgeting with her fingers, "She is very sorry for what she did but she didn't have the courage to face you so she sent me. Please forgive her and give her a chance. " She said it quickly because being vulnerable in front of someone was a big no no in her dictionary and the humiliation for apologising to the person she hated and for something she didn't even do was killing her.
"That girl is ashamed of what she did who is wearing the F as a badge out there?" Tedros said.
"I know it looks bad but you have to know that she could not walk these halls with the F on her chest. Please I request you to forgive her and give her one chance. She won't disappoint you I assure you. She really does love you although her method was wrong but she will mend her ways" She said with a worried and sincere expression on her face.
Tedros thought for a moment. If he was to be honest, he was actually very moved by how Sophie was helping Nevers. And a chance wasn't that bad. He flirted with every fair princess in this school, one girl in the other school didn't do much damage. He thought she should be in this school anyway. Besides maybe he will actually find that she actually loves him and not just for his looks.
"Okay since you apologized," he put much emphasis on the word apologize and Agatha's jaw clenched "I will forgive her. And also you"
Agatha was a little surprised though that he listened to her on the first try that she didn't even took heed of the last jab.
"oh great. Thanks then." that went well. She wanted to ask him to not tell others about it but her ego didn't give her permission to fall that low. Besides she was pretty sure that then he will tell everybody just to spite her.
She was about to go towards the lawn when Tedros called "I wasn't done talking yet."
She turned, now annoyed. He was looking at his test paper with a rank 10. If his situation in history remained the same he may have to leave his first position in the school.
"I am going to forgive her and will even go to her beauty lectures in the wood but on 1 condition," he moved a finger in front of her "you promise to teach me history. You are pretty good at this and if my marks approve in the next test I will, well, forgive her as you said."
"What? How can I teach you. I have'nt taught anyone ever. And didn't you think that I was a witch so why do you by all means want a witch to teach you." Agatha said now visibly annoyed. She hated that boy. She had to tolerate him for sophie but Did she now have to see his face now often too?
"Well I STILL think you are a witch but you see I am not very good at this class and I dont want you, a witch , to get greater marks than me and become the class captain. So the deal is here if you want it you have to teach me." He thrust his hand forward for a handshake.
Now Sophie leaving her prince after getting her kiss to get home didn't made her feel guilty that much. He had called her the witch multiple times. Everyone had called it to be honest and everytime someone said that something in her broke. She didn't wanted to be the witch why did they all expect her to be evil. Oh right her looks. She wished people could not see looks. But it was what it was. Agatha exhaled a deep breath.
For Sophie and for her home.
She shook his hand. "Deal.... But. You won't tell anyone of the apology" if she had to do talk to him everyday now she may as well get something out of it.
"Deal" Tedros said as he shook her hand.
Chapter 2: A friend

I want to make a friend group for Agatha maybe a trio or quartet.

Chapter Text
Agatha told Sophie how she apologized to Tedros and his term in order to give Sophie a chance.
"That's great Agatha. You are such a good friend " Sophie said while keeping her eyes on the stitch she was sewing. A big smile spread on Agatha's face after a very very long time.
"I don't think it was necessary though. After all, you can't keep true love apart. That's like a cardinal rule in fairy tales" Sophie added. "Also I am still the most beautiful princess in both of these schools. He was bound to love me. I just had to show him that was Good. Which wouldn't have been a problem if this stupid wrong school mistake wasn't present" Sophie said annoyed either at the stitch or at the situation.
A lump formed in Agatha's throat. She hated how the school of Good had so much focus on having beautiful appearances of girls and taught them how made them a damsel in distress but she didn't want to go to the school of evil either. Sure she thought people will judge and bully her less if she was in School of Evil but she didn't knew if she wanted to prove all the people in Gavaldon right by being a witch. "You are already a witch dumbo however hard you convince yourself that you are not. Everyone else can see it why can't you" an inner voice came.
"But when it's all over there won't be a mistake. We will be at home." Agatha said. Finally she had hope.
"Oh Yeah sure." Sophie replied immersed in her work.
_______________________________________________________________
Heavy rain was falling down outside today and so their "surviving fairy tales" class was cancelled. All of them were sitting in the Good's common room. Beatrix was laughing daintly at something Tedros had said while all the boys near them gave them jealous looks. The funny thing was Tedros wasn't amused by his own joke and was looking as though he was confused as well at why Beatrix found it so funny while it just deserved a chuckle. Well classic Beatrix. Or maybe that's how you feel when you are near someone you really like.
"How would I know. When had I ever liked being near a boy?" Agatha thought.
She was also there in the common room, sitting near the window. She loved the sound of rain. Normally she would like to spend her time as far away from people as possible but professor Dovey had come herself to her room to ask her to come down to the common room. Her logic was that she have to meet people in order to make friends. Agatha mindset was that it only gives people more opportunities to bully her and they don't like her in the first place so she should give them precisely what they want which is her absence. At which Dovey said that if she doesn't meet people how would they get a chance of knowing her. Dovey said that maybe she will find some friends if she just give the people a chance. She didn't knew much how the idea would work considering that she had actually tried it during her first few years in Gavaldon but failed but on professor Dovey's insisting she agreed.
To be honest she really wanted friends. She acted like she doesn't because everyone in her life except her mother, her cat and Sophie had treated as though she was not even a human and so she had started feigning that she was okay without anyone around her but deep down she had a desire to be near a small group of friends laughing like she had seen little girls do in Gavaldon when she was six and she was not allowed to be near any child otherwise their parents would beat her up or their own child on associating with her.
It was just a fantasy to her now. "It won't work here too." She told herself. Even in the School of Good, no one wanted to talk to her nicely even if just for a good deed. "A witch, like everybody told you" her inner voice spoke.
She sat their doing her homework on Good deeds when Kiko sat near her. "I am so mad at that Beatrix." Kiko said. "If she wants Tedros why does she flirt with every other boy too."
"What happened now? " Agatha said while continuing to write.
"Tristan. She has been flirting with him." Kiko said while giving the laughing Beatrix and blushing Tristan a death glare.
"He is also flirting with her. It goes both ways." Agatha replied.
"If she stops, he will stop too."
"Yeah he will but It's not entirely her fault though. Tristan is also responsible you know. Does he not know she likes Tedros and you like him? He should be more clear with you and not treat you like a second choice" Agatha said putting her pen down and looking at her.
"Yeah." Kiko said with her head down. "I sometimes hate boys"
"I always hate boys" Agatha said with a chuckle.
That earned a laugh from Kiko as well.
"Hey Agatha do you want to paint nails with me?" Kiko asked just as Agatha was going to go back to her homework.
"Uhh I don't know how to paint nails Kiko." Agatha said.
"Oh" Kiko's mood fell a little.
"I would love to do it though. Once I did Sophie's. It didn't turned out good. She got angry and never let me touch her products ever again. Or her hands." Agatha added.
"Oh don't worry let me do your nails then. I like to do them. Makes me calm. You can learn slowly then" Kiko said excitedly.
She had never did her nails and always thought it wouldn't make any difference to her appearance. But seeing the excitement on Kiko's face and voice, she didn't want to dim that.
"If you want it then that's great"
"I will just get the things quickly" Kiko said excitedly and ran outside the room. The slight jump in Kiko's walk made Agatha smile. She was a nice girl, a little naive, but innocent. Maybe the only person who had treated her a little nicely in this school.
Kiko came back with a bunch of nail polishes and a small kit in her hand. Agatha looked at her fingernails which were quite short as compared to others. They were clean though. She refused to eat with dirty hands and nails "Ahh sorry you don't have much to work with." Agatha said slowly.
"Oh don't be ridiculous. Nails can be in all shapes and sizes and still be beautiful. Your hands show that you work a lot." Kiko said holding one of her fingers. The contrast between Agatha's and Kiko's fingers were quite evident.
"Well humans come in different sizes and we don't like them."
"Is it about Beatrix Agatha?" Kiko said concerned. "I don't know why she is all bitchy about you when she is in Good. The Good can't treat others like that. Don't take her seriously. If you were bad you would have failed by now"
"Bitchy? Can we swear in the Good?" Agatha said slowly.
"Well maybe... I think you can."Kiko said sheepishly. "At least when the teachers are not around."
"Well then Bitch Beatrix should fuck off" Agatha said. And both of them burst into laughter.
And as Kiko was slowly applied polish while both of them laughed and talked about all kinds of stuff, Agatha maybe did find a friend. Maybe she did need to open herself but to the right people.

Chapter Text
Today the beautification lecture was about winking and they had to make the mirror in front of them crack by doing the wink. Agatha was finding it hilarious how every girl in the class was winking and it seemed like all the girls had got something in their eye and they wanted to remove it without using their hands. Only Beatrix was able to make the whole mirror shatter. You would think Agatha would've refused to do that but actually she did try it giving Kiko the reason that "if a boy doesn't run away just just by seeing me he sure would after seeing me wink so it's a good way to keep people away ".
"To be honest I agree." Kiko said as they both watched an entire class bat one eye at their reflections in the mirror.
Fortunately Agatha didn't get a last rank not because she was good but because the others were equally bad as well.
"It was a wooing prince strategy or a Shooing one? I don't understand. "Reena was complaining to Mellicent as they exited the classroom.
Agatha couldn't help but laugh at this one before she saw the Everboys sparring on the school grounds and a bad taste filled in her mouth. Yesterday she had to make a deal with Tedros to teach him History in order to get Sophie her kiss and for them to go to Gavaldon. It wasn't that she didn't want to teach anyone, it was that she had to teach someone who was so condescending towards her. A picture of that dummy which looked like her with an arrow in its chest came in front of her eyes. She shook her head. "He is a brainless egoist git but she has to do it for Sophie and her home. He treats you bad but who likes you anyway. So get over with it quickly. Get Sophie her kiss and get home. Otherwise you know Sophie will die." Agatha told herself.
Agatha stood with her arms folded as other girls stood watching and fawning and cheering the boys as though they needed any more ego boost. Agatha stood with Kiko a little away from them to not be included in the "cheer squad" otherwise she would have died of cringe from her fellows and second hand embarrassment from the boys who were trying to do stunts to impress girls and then failing and falling.
She had told Kiko that Tedros had asked her for help in History. Initially she didn't want to tell about the reason why she had accepted it (to get Sophie her damn kiss.) But when Kiko started teasing her and saying that Tedros' charm is somehow working on her too, she told her about the deal Tedros made to give Sophie a chance.
"Oh Agatha. Why are you doing all that for a witch? Why are you even willing to help someone you don't even like just to help Sophie?" Kiko had asked.
"Because Sophie is not a witch. She's my friend and she was there for me when no one else was." Agatha replied refusing to give anyone the name that had haunted her and her mother their whole lives.
Tedros saw her standing and after completing her training sword fight with Chaddick, he came strolling towards them. They were obligated to wear helmets during their fights although Agatha had heard that the boys made fuss over that ruining their hair. He removed his helmet and all the girls went wild behind Agatha. Even after strenuous workout, the sweaty hair fell in just the right places.
"Has the witch also likes Everboys now?" Tedros said with a cocky smile as he stopped in front of Agatha.
Agatha opened her folded arms, took a step back and pinched her nose with her fingers. The smile on Tedros' face vanished instantly. To be honest she didn't feel much odor of sweat given her time with Callis and her foul smelling healing potions, she was pretty much immune to smells, but the gesture was just to piss him off... Which actually worked.
"You don't have to do that by the way. My sweat doesn't smell." He said defensively.
Agatha moved her head sideways as away from him as she could go without moving and took a very long breath. Tedros got more annoyed and Agatha got more amused. She won't allow it to show it on her face though.
"Oh come on, quit the dramatics. If I was smelly wouldn't your friend here feel it too?" Tedros said pointing towards Kiko.
"Her? Oh she doesn't have good sense of smell you know" Agatha replied.
Tedros raised an eyebrow at Agatha then Kiko. What kind of lousy excuse was that? But Kiko was also not very happy with Tedros and considered his casual flirting with Beatrix annoying. "Just tell her you like her and you will take her to ball so that that she-wolf stops flirting with other boys" she had told Agatha the night before while doing her nails.
"Yeah Tedros. When Ursula took my mother's voice she also took away her sense of smell and she never gave it back. Don't you know that?" Kiko said siding with Agatha.
Agatha looked at Kiko with an amused expression. Knowing that Tedros was bad at history, he may actually believe that. Agatha could see red seeping on his neck.
"Ah I am sorry Kiko. I didn't knew that you couldn't..." Tedros said stammering. "What do you want?" He asked Agatha pointedly.
Agatha took the deep breath again and said
"Yes. Well you had asked for teaching lessons on History. If you want them, come in the library of virtue at 5 p.m sharp. Don't be late." She replied and turned to move away when he stopped her.
"You are saying this as though I had begged you for them."
"Well you kind of did. Don't you know you are failing this class And you need my help?"
"First of all I never begged. Second we had a deal remember. You had asked me to give Sophie....... wait what the fuck is that?" He was saying angrily before he saw something.
"Mind your language Tedros. I am your teacher now." Agatha said as she turned to look in the direction Tedros was staring and caught sight of Beatrix winking at Tedros aggressively. Agatha and Kiko caught each other's eye and tried their hardest to not to laugh otherwise Beatrix would make their time at the school very difficult but it was very hard to not laugh at that bizarre sight.
"What is happening to her eye? Is she talking in some kind of code? Is she bewitched by a witch to battle an invisible fly with her eye or something?" Tedros said confused and concerned.
Agatha turned fast. If Beatrix sees her cracking a smile.... But Kiko was silently laughing in her fist but she too was facing away from Beatrix so probably they were safe. Tedros saw Agatha smiling and Kiko moving with her silent fits of laughter with a confused expression.
"I think she is winking at you Tedros." The confused look vanished and horrified look appeared.
"Well I'll leave you then with your winks-club." Agatha's expression became serious. "just know that like just now you talked about the deal in front of Kiko, I let it go because I had already told her but if you ever speak of it in front of anyone again, I'll rip this tongue out of your mouth. After all I am a witch like you said so beware. Be at the library of virtue at 5 p.m sharp."
Agatha and Kiko went away from a flustered and embarrassed Tedros. Both of them laughed all their way.
"I just know the mirror didn't shatter because it became shy after seeing the wink" and both of them doubled over as they sat in their seats in the next class.

Chapter 4: First class
Notes:
Sorry. I am posting after much time. I was learning for my med school and couldn't spare time for writing. I didn't read it again so if you find mistakes you can tell me in the comments. And I request you to please comment. Even if it's just to criticise. It makes me think as though I am telling a story to a friend.

Chapter Text
A wave of smell hit Agatha before she heard the sounds of footsteps into the library. He stopped next to her chair. His hair were still wet but appeared as though they were styled. "Even if he didn't style it properly, they would still probably fall in the right place." Agatha thought. " These pompous princes." He was dressed in a clean white shirt still wet at some places. But the smell from him.... It felt like he had spilt the whole bottle of perfume on himself. Agatha glanced up from her book.
"Woah woah. Did you fall into the tub of perfume or something?" Agatha said pinching her nose. Strong fragrance was going to her head. "A hunter dog would probably die."
"Are you one? As you are the one dying. Also are you allergic to nice smells or something" Tedros replied defensively.
"No. But I wish I were if it would get me out of this place and conversation with you." Agatha said. "Wait. Did you apply more perfume because of my and Kiko's comment this morning?" Agatha asked wide eyed. Was he this bothered about her remark?
His ears turned red and a blush creeped up his neck. "No ofcourse not. I just accidentally applied a little more than usual." Yeah "accidentally".
Agatha may be dumb but not this dumb to not see through this obvious lie. But she decided not to prude him about it. He obviously cared so much about his appearance that he even valued the opinion of someone who he hated. She thought.
"You are also 30 minutes late." Agatha said going back to her book. "You know I'll teach you for only 1 hour a day so you've already lost half of your lecture" She added.
"No. There was no "1 hour thing" in our deal." Tedros snapped.
"What do you mean ? Do you think I have enough free time on me to spend it on YOU" Agatha said as Tedros was pulling out the chair in front of her.
"Yeah actually." Tedros replied with a smirk.
"Well then, you are very wrong. You have 30 minutes left. No actually 25 because you wasted 5 more minutes in your useless talk." Agatha replied looking at the clock in the library.
"No. The deal was you'll teach me to ace my next history test. It's upto you to teach me 1 hour or the whole day as long as I learn enough to pass my test. "
"Do you think I won't die after watching your face for 24 hours?"
"No actually I think no girl could survive watching my handsome face 24 hours a day. But do YOU think I won't die watching this face for 24, no, say even 1 hour?" Tedros replied pointing a finger at Agatha's face.
"Good day then. Learn on your own." Agatha replied picking up her books and bag and standing up.
"Well then. Tell Sophie that I am sorry but she's not my true love." Tedros said nonchalantly, standing up. But there was a sense of urgency in his voice as well. "Sophie card better work." He thought
Agatha stopped in her tracks. Tedros smiled. It was working. "For Sophie. For home." She told herself.
"Dear 'Crush of my friend'! I am not going to teach you if you keep this fucking attitude. " Agatha said her voice going a little up getting multiple glances from other people in the library. But now she was placing her books back on the small library table and pulling her chair out. One way or another she had to teach him. This she knew, even before when she was ready to go. After all, that was the deal. e was right about also about the time limit to be honest. She gave the time limit and hoped he will not create a fuss because after all he hated her just as much as she hated him.
"First of all. Language. Second. It was the deal. I am not here because I like listening to you or anything. You were the one asking me for a favor. I just took pity and decided why do it for free so asked for lessons." Wrong. He actually really wanted the lessons. Didn't know how and where to get them. A golden opportunity asked him in the corridor for a favor and gave him the reason to ask for lessons from the top student without hurting his ego.
"You are just fighting me on the time limit only because you just want to disagree on anything I say. After all you hate me just as much as I hate you. " Agatha replied with a sigh
"No."
"No? You don't hate me?" Agatha asked bewildered.
"No.. no I am not fighting on this because I like to disagree with you." Tedros replied. "Look. Let's strike another deal. You teach me with whatever it takes to get me a score within first 5 ranks on my next exam. And I'll start going to your friends little beauty lectures or whatever. Then afterwards you can teach me 1 hour daily. Okay?"
"What? See your face after the first exam too? "
"Won't you see my face everyday after I get with your friend? "
"Yeah well..." Agatha said irritated. we will be home by then. She thought
"Well then it's not a problem. Let's get started. We have already wasted enough time. And you know I have very precious time." He said pulling
"We'll stick with the before getting with Sophie part of the deal. And after that, well I'll think about that. " We'll be home by then. She thought.
"Before going to Sophie's lectures " he corrected. " I am still not sure about getting with your friend okay. You said chance not that I must go out with her."
"Yeah yeah I know. But no one can resist her charm though. You'll soon find out that she is Good"
"We'll see."
............................................................................................
The dinner bell rang.
"Well I think that's enough for today. But you have to read the chapter on pinocchio on your own though from "100 fairy tales". I have told most of it to you though. " Agatha said putting her books back in her bag.
"Then I don't need to read then." Tedros replied with a yawn but caught an angry stare from Agatha and buckled. "Okay okay. I'll read."
"Good. Because next time I'll ask questions to you about it."
"I think you are feeling as though you are really a teacher but you see you are actually not."
"I am teaching you. Aren't I?" Agatha said.
They bickered all the way to the dining hall. Agatha sat next to Kiko with a sigh. She had saved Agatha a seat
"So how did the lecture go?" Kiko chirped.
"Longer than I had wanted it to." Agatha said with a sigh.
"You are alive though" Kiko said helpfully
"You should be happy HE'S alive" Agatha replied pointing at Tedros."I am pretty happy at my self control. "
"Good job then Agatha. Here that's your gift you can eat my chocolate pudding too."
She had to show this sort of self control often though atleast until he starts going to Sophie's shows. After that he will be Sophie's problem
