-Doesn't talk to his brother much because they're both busy with their own stuff

Rose

-From space and is an alien, only Marvin knows though Jeffy has come close to finding out before (I hate how they retconned this omfg)

-Tall(er than Marvin at least) slightly chubby queen

-Hates wearing shoes because they're uncomfortable on her since she's not used to wearing them

-Loves the night sky and sometimes forces Marvin (and Jeffy if he's not already in bed) to go stargazing outside

-Is positive about a lot of things since she's fascinated with earth culture and likes it more than where she's from

-straight but still an ally (She doesn't get homophobia such a kween)

-Loves Jeffy with all her heart and thinks of him as her actual son, wants to give him the best life she can considering how shitty his past life is

Jeffy

-He thinks about Feebee a lot and daydreams about them playing together when he's bored

-Literally doesn't remember how he met Braxton

-Had to help cook a lot on the orphanage, which is why he got into it so much

-Thinks of Junior as his son (I mean he basically is)

-Raging Bisexual (This has GOT to be canon he's shown liking both guys and girls in the show)

-Knew close to no English for a while until Culinary school

Braxton

-Lives on unemployment checks

-Makes Marvin pay for the wifi and bills

-Hardly ever leaves his room, not even to go to the bathroom (His disgusting ass pees in a bottle this is canon btw like ew???)

-Kinda cares for Junior but is too lazy to actually take care of him and makes Chef PeePee do it (He also spoils the hell out of Junior)

-Makes Chef PeePee cuddle with him sometimes (not as often anymore)

-Mostly straight and pretty homophobic but is pretty fruity from time to time (Cough cough MOTHERS DAY cough cough)

-His mom was abusive so he kinda carried that onto Junior (his father was too when he was there)

-He started watching Charleyyy and friends after Juniors mom left and slowly became obsessed with it to the point he couldn't stop watching it

Cody

-probably listens to vocaloid or something like that

-Older than his two friends but still the shortest (Jeffy and Joseph are close in height, then Junior's in the middle, then Cody is smol)

-Is into a bunch of boybands and shit

-Is really smart, almost smarter than Cody

-Blue, Green, and pink are her fav colors

-Loves to dance, and loves to make Junior dance with her (He pretends to not like it but secretly does)

-Is really pretty without her glasses on

-Spends a lot of time with Karen while her dad's at work (they get their nails done sometimes and Karen braids her hair)

Brooklyn Guy

-Huge asshole a majority of the time

-Surprised Karen hasn't divorced him yet

-Almost the complete opposite of Marvin, but is somehow his best bud

-Feels bad for most of the stuff he does but never apologizes

Chapter Text

Timeframe- Early January 2025(Winter)

Junior was bored on the couch, as usual. His two best friends were busy, and Jeffy was grounded. He signed the Red Couch sign-up time sheet for no reason. He kept thinking of things he could do to occupy himself. He tried bothering Chef PeePee, watching old episodes of Doofy the Dragon, even playing with his old Thomas toys. Nothing worked.

He went back to the couch to sulk in boredom. While sitting there, he felt his phone buzz. Was it Cody? Or Joseph? Or was it just team snapchat fucking with him? He took his phone out of his pocket and read the notification.

~Penlepoe<3~
heyyy babyyyy! miss u bunches!! could I come over??? My dad is kind of pissing me off...

He read and re-read the text message. Having Penelope over could be fun... and she wouldn't be annoyed or as annoying since Joseph and Cody weren't over...

~Junior~
sureee. i dont have anyhting else 2 do

He replied with a smile.

~Penlepoe<3~
okkk! I'll be over in 5!

Junior read her message. He decided to get himself freshened-up. It was Christmas break, so all he'd been doing was laying on either the couch or his bed fucking around and staying up until 5 in the morning and waking up at 3pm. He'd gained over 30 Overwatch levels in a week (He quit fortnite.)

He went to the bathroom and put on some deodorant since there wasn't enough time for a shower. He then changed his shirt he'd been wearing for 2 or 3 days with a new fresh one that looked almost the exact same. He combed the clump of hair on his head, brushed his horns so clean they were like a mirror, and went back to the couch to wait for his girlfriend.

Penelope got into the car to be driven to her boyfriends house. Karen was driving her since Brooklyn was... well, drunk out of his mind watching basketball. Both of them were glad to be out of the house. Even though they both loved Brookie a lot, he could be a huge ass sometimes... actually a lot of times.

"I'm sorry about your father, Penelope. I hope you have fun at your friend's house." Karen said positively. Penelope never knew how Karen was so happy all the time, but she liked the light the woman brought.

"It's alright, I'm used to it." Penelope replied, monotone.

Karen started on the road. "Sooo, which friend's house are you going to?" She asked.

"Well... I'm actually going to my boyfriend's house, if that's okay? I just told my dad it was a friend's house so he would go off about using protection or something." Penelope told the woman reluctantly. She knew Karen was a lot more chill than her father, though she didn't know the extent.

"Oh, well of course it's fine, sweetie. I told Boinnie that I was going to go to the store after dropping you off, but I'm just gonna go get my nails done. My friend Rose gave me a giftcard!" Karen said, relating to the young girl.

"What design?" Penelope asked.

"I don't know, I haven't decided yet. Something colorful, that's for sure!" Karen replied happily. "If there's any left, we could get yours done too. Then you'll look all snazzy and dolled up for when school goes back in session!"

"That'd be nice, thanks." Penelope said. Karen of course couldn't fully replace her real mom, but she was a good substitute. She spent time with her, she gossiped with her, helped her pick out outfits. She was definitely warming up to her.

"No problem, Penelope." Karen replied. She pulled into Junior's driveway. "Call me when you're ready to come home, alright? Have fun!"

"I will, bye!" Penelope said, getting out of the car, taking her stuff, and shutting the car door. Karen waved and honked the horn, then drove off.

Penelope shivered from the cold outside air. It was unusual for it to be this cold in Florida, but it was winter. She speedwalked through the misted grass and knocked on Junior's door. His chef answered, and called Junior downstairs. He came running down, excited to see his pookie wookie (fucking kill me.)

"Hey Penelope!" He said, letting the lass inside out of the cold outside air.

"Hey Junior, how've you been?" Penelope asked.

"Good. I wish this break could be longer, I love being home." Junior said.

"I don't. My dad's been drinking either at home or here with the Marvin guy. He barely got me anything for Christmas, he even stole my hungry hungry hippos game to give to his wife! Those skates you got me were the best gift I'd gotten from anyone!" Penelope ranted.

"You're welcome for that! I knew you'd like them. Now, let's go upstairs. I have the red couch for another hour, and I wanna use that time wisely!" Junior said, taking the ginger girls hand and going up the stairs to the red couch room. "So, what do you want to do?"

"Wanna watch bridgerton?" Penelope asked.

"To be honest... no. But I do think the new squid game is out, wanna watch that?" Junior replied, before changing the subject slightly. He navigated to netflix on the TV.

"Not really... it's kind of gorey, and sad." Penelope said. Junior saw his name on his Netflix profile as 'Weird ginger kid.' He knew his main Netflix rival had changed it, so he enacted revenge by changing their name to "Dumb Stinky Poop Trooper." Penelope was distracted by thinking of something to watch, and did not see what Junior was doing. "Y'know, we always stay on this couch and do whatever everytime. Why don't we change things up a little?"

"What do you suggest?" Junior asked.

"I don't know... maybe we could go on a walk?"

"But it's cold outside!!" Junior complained.

"We'll be fine, we can just layer up!" Penelope said, standing up, showing that her decision is final. Junior sighed, and caved. He went to his room to get his coat and gloves, while Penelope put her coat, hat, and gloves back on. They met back in the red couch room.

"Where's your hat, Junior?" Penelope asked.

"I... can't wear hats." Junior confessed.

"Why?" She asked. The boy pointed to his horns. "Just put it on loose. If you dont wear a hat your head will get cold!"

"I tried putting it on loose, it just slides off. And even if I let my horns bust through, then they'll get cold." Junior explained. He couldn't exactly feel his horns unless they were cracked or something, but he could feel if they were hot or cold, which he didn't like.

Penelope thought for a second. She then got an idea. She told Junior to put one of his ripped hats on, then ran upstairs. He did as she said and put one on. The lass then came back downstairs with a blanket.

"Whats that for?" The boy asked. Penelope gave no answer, instead throwing the blanket over his head, and over his horns. She tied it around his head, and took a few steps back.

"There! It looks good on you!" Penelope said proudly, and with a big smile on her face. Junior meanwhile looked unamused.

'I bet I look dumb." He responded. "Though, I guess my horns are warm now."

"Exactly! Now, let's go!!" Penelope exclaimed, taking Junior's taking and basically dragging him out the door.

The sun was just starting to set when the two gingers arrived outside. The sky was all sorts of warm colors; red, pink, orange, yellow, and with a little bit of blue sticking out. The two oogled at the sky, taking in the beautiful scenery.

"Gosh, it looks amazing out here..." Junior said in awe.

"Come on, Junior, let's walk around!" Penelope said, once again dragging Junior by his hand down the sidewalk.

The two lovebirds had a fun time walking around the neighborhood. Even in the cold, the twos enjoyment, paired with Junior's horn cover, helped them stay warm and united.

...that is until they both came home, and Junior was confronted by his Netflix rival, Marvin.

"HEY! JUST BECAUSE I WAS A PLUMBER DOES NOT MAKE ME A POOPER TROOPER!!!" The grown man shouted when he saw the 16 year old boy walk into the house.

"Yuh uh." Junior responded blandly, before flipping him the bird and taking his girl upstairs. Penelope was definetly confused, but didn't question it. It was just how Junior was.

Notes:

Chat is this real?

Also the time sheet thing mentioned at the beginning, I have a headcannon that they have an hours sheet where they can sign up to have the couch for like an hour or smth

TimeFrame- Early January, Christmas Break 2025

Bully Bill walked the cold streets with nothing but his usual jeans, and the thickest jacket he could find in his messy house. He was bored, like really bored. lots of kids really enjoyed Christmas Break, mostly because there wasn't school. Bully wasn't one of those kids.

Sure, he thought the stuff they did at school was boring as shit, but it was also a place with consistent electricity, running water, clean walls and floors, and even food. Back at his home, it was either the electricity bill or the water bill that could be paid, not even both. His mom had a new guy over every week and Bully could hear them having rough sex through the thin walls. There was trash and grime all over, and even a stack of pizza boxes going nearly to the ceiling in the living room.

He barely even got anything for Christmas. His mom got him a pair of too big shoes and snowman stickers from goodwill, and her current boyfriend gave bully $5 only because he felt bad. Compared to home, school was like heaven to Bully.

His mom had yet another guy over at the house, so Bully thought this would be the perfect time to get some exercise in. He wore two pairs of socks so he could wear his "new" shoes, and walked out. Now he was alone, walking on the street.

The sidewalk was illuminated by nothing but the streetlights and the moon. Only a few houses Bully had passed had their lights on. It was about 8pm, so it checked out. He didn't even know how far he was from his house, he just walked in random directions, roaming wherever and finding the occasional penny on the ground.

While crossing the street, he saw a boy playing with a ball in the road. He just shrugged, laughed to himself about the kids' stupidity, and kept walking. Though, he only walked a few steps until he saw a car heading towards the kid in the road.

He figured the kid would move out of the way, but the kid must've been really stupid because he didn't. The car was about to pass Bully, and hit the kid if he didn't move. Bully debated on saving the kid, or watching him get hit. Though, he didn't want the stress of being a murder witness, so he decided on doing the former.

"KID! THERE'S A CAR! GET OUT OF THE ROAD!" Bully shouted to the kid. The kid looked at Bully, then at the incoming car. He then took his ball and ran out of the road just in time for the car to pass and not hit him.

Bully sighed with relief at not seeing the kid get GTA5'ed. He saw the kid come running his way, to which he muttered 'Oh great...'

"Hello! Thanks for warning me about the car, I almost became Paskettioes!" The kid said. He had a really goofy voice. A Familiar goofy voice.

"Wait, Patrick?" Bully said, after putting two and two together. The lighting made it so that he couldn't make out his face at first, so it was kind of a surprise. Though, it WAS Patrick, and he's really the only one Bully knew that was dense enough to almost get hit by a very visible car.

"Oh, Hi Bully! Wanna play ball wif me?" Patrick asked excitedly, not even caring that he almost died. Bully just blinked in astonishment. He then rolled his eyes, since again, it's Patrick. He shurgged his shoulders.

"I guess we could play ball. Just not in the street. I'm not trying to die tonight." Bully responded. He didn't know why he agreed, other than he was bored and Patrick wasn't too bad of a person.

Patrick was a somewhat friend of Bully's, at least at school. They never really talked outside of school, but that wasn't really anything special considering Bully didn't talk to anyone outside of school. Bully thought that Patrick was amusing. He wasn't always arguing with people like everyone else in his class was, and he wouldn't beat the shit out of him like Jeffy always did. Compared to everyone else in Jackie Chu's class, Patrick wasn't that bad.

"Yay! Let's go!!!" Patrick exclaimed, before taking Bully's hand and jogging down the sidewalk. Bully almost faceplanted at the sudden pulling force, but was able to keep up. Patrick stopped after a few houses, right in front of his own house. "Let's play catch, okay? Here, catch the ball!"

Bully felt goofy, playing catch as a 16 year old. But there wasn't anyone around to judge him about it. The two played for a long while, around 20 minutes before Patrick started to get tired, Bully a little as well.

"My arms are getting tired. Wanna take a break?" Patrick asked Bully.

"Yeah, sure." Bully said. The two went and sat on Patricks front porch. He had a pretty good looking house. It was smaller than the others on the block, and there wasn't really any decor, but it was better than Bully's house, and half the windows weren't patched up with cardboard. "So, do your parents just let you play outside for however long you want?"

"Yeah. Well, my mom does anyways. My daddy's always at work as a clown." Patrick replied. "Today my mom got me this ball to play with while she takes pictures in the bathroom. Our toilet is a model!" Bully was confused by Patrick's last sentence, until he wasn't.

"Oh..." Bully said. "My mom doesn't really care where I go, so I just roam the neighborhood."

"Do you go to the park and play on the swings?" Patrick asked.

"No...?" Bully responded, confused by the semi-random question.

"Awww. I love going to the park and jumping off the swings, it's so fun!" Patrick exclaimed happily, clapping his hands in excitement. He then had an idea, Bully knew so by the expression change on his face. "Wanna have a sleepover?"

"Really? You want to have a sleepover with me?" Bully asked in disbelief. No one ever asked him to hangout, unless they wanted something from him, let alone ask for him to stay the night.

"Of course! You're my friend! Come on, let's go in my room. My mom got me Marvin Kart 64 that we can play!" Patrick told him, taking his hand and happily taking him inside his house.

Bully felt something inside of him shift when Patrick said that they were friends. Bully wasn't used to having friends. He wasn't used to having anyone that liked him, besides his mom on occasion. He didn't respond, but for the first time in a while, he smiled.

The two stayed up for a long time playing Nintendo 64 games. The last time Bully had seen a clock he'd saw that it was past 12 in the morning. He found himself having an actual good time. Patrick was good company to him. Once the two had made some good progress, they decided to go to sleep. Patrick got the two some blankets to use to sleep on the ground, since Patricks bed was covered in toys. Bully didn't mind, he was just glad he was able to sleep in a good environment and not be freezing his ass off.

"Night night Bully, don't let the nightmares get to ya!' Patrick said, getting snuggled in with his jurassic park blanket that looked like it was from Temu.

"Night." Bully said. He closed his eyes for a moment, but opened them when he realized he had to say one more thing. "Oh yeah, and um... thanks for lettin' me crash here."

"No problem, you're my friend after all. You can come stay here anytime." Patrick said, before drifting into slumber.

Bully wasn't used to friends, but he was starting to like it.

Notes:

They need more content in SML I love them as friends its so silly

Is it bad that I kind of like Bully? Yeah? Well, too bad :P

Chapter Text

It was over.

It was finally over.

Junior sat on the hill as he looked across the valley. The rather flat valley. Though, instead of being covered in grass, it was covered with corpses of the undead.

Most were already eradicated, and they were almost extinct. After 12 years of this outbreak, it was finally at a low enough level to consider that the humans won.

Junior had been 4 when the whole thing had started. All that he knew was the apocalypse. His father died when he was 12, and he never found his mother. The only person that was left to take care of him was his father’s personal Chef, Chef PeePee. He was a blunt man, who didn’t like dealing with antics and just wanted the job done. The long apocalypse definitely annoyed him.

Junior felt a presence next to him. He looked to see Chef PeePee sitting next to him, looking in the same direction as Junior was a second ago.

“It’s gonna be over soon, kid.” Chef PeePee said, still not making eye contact with the boy. “I’m surprised you aren’t all hyper. You’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”

“I was hoping for my dad to be here with me.” Junior responded. “Weren’t you hoping for your family? Your dad died too, right?”

“He never cared.” Chef PeePee spat. “Sure, I was saddened by his death, but it didn’t hurt as bad. He was old anyways. I have my friends, they’re somewhere in this barron world.”

“I wish I knew where Joseph and Cody were.” Junior mumbled. They’d gone missing a few years ago. “So is the world going to go back to normal now? Will it be the same as before?”

“This Earth will never be the same. We lost nearly half the population, and lots of resources were destroyed. It may become similar, but never the same.” The chef told the boy. “And for a lot of people your age, the apocalypse was normal. Nobody was expecting a monster to come and jump on your back and bite your face. We’d expect to maybe get mugged, not killed. Well, not as often anyways.”

Junior went back to being silent. He wished more than anything he could go back in time and experience the world before the plague broke out. His father would tell him about it whenever the both of them had free time. It was mostly bright, with some hardships along the way, but that was life, as his father would say.

“Do you think… would my dad be proud of me?” Junior asked.

“Of course, why wouldn’t he? I sure am.” Chef PeePee responded, facing Junior.

“For what?”

“For being here, for surviving all this time. For enduring the pain of losing people you loved. For still going despite all the hardships. That’s life, as your father said, right? You’re very brave, Junior.” Chef PeePee told the boy. He gave him a small smile, which was uncommon for the man. “I knew your father well, and I know he’d think so too.”

Junior processed everything the ex-chef had said. He and his father had been good friends, or at least on occasion. Junior had endured a lot, he knew that. He knew he should be proud of himself too.

“Thanks, Chef PeePee. You’re a pretty cool guy when you aren’t telling me to ‘shut up and hide so they don’t see you’” Junior said in a joking manner, though still being serious.

“Whatever, brat. Now, Let’s go enjoy the start of a new beginning, shall we?.” Chef PeePee said, standing up and dusting the loose dead grass off of his bottom. He was a very clean man, and liked to keep it that way.

“Alright!” Junior stood up quickly. “Last one to the shelter is a runt zombie!” He shouted, before sprinting to the shelter where the two stayed.

“That isn’t fair! You’re 16, I’m 35!” Chef PeePee shouted after him, though Junior didn’t stop running. Chef PeePee chuckled, before lightly jogging after the boy.

Kinda turned into a trauma chapter but yer

Also I've been making a lot of SML animatic memes recently, so if you'd like to check them out, you can see them as shorts on my youtube channel, TGGya

Here's one of them, I just finished it today :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_eiGWKmZyM&list=PLC3yIViSYdPc2lGUF_NLlbDgOv0CaRmOI&index=2

Also another announcement (Kinda), I'm in the process of writing a really long SML story. I won't give any huge hints yet, but pretty much every main character is in it (At least if they were present around 2021), and it's almost 20k words and isn't even halfway over yet-

Idk if I'll manage to finish it before I run out of motivation, but my SML hyperfix is really strong rn, so I should finish it, or at least add a half-assed ending :/
Anyways ty for reading!!!

Chapter Text

Marvin and rose were sitting on the couch just watching tv like alkways. It got boring for them sometimes, but therew wasn't anything else to do. Their show distracted them enough so that they weren't worried about Jeffy, who was also bored.

He stood behind them, watching whatever boring court shit they were watching. After he got bored, he decided to go down stairs. He was a little hungry, and he knew Marvin would feed him green beens, so he knew he needed to fill up now.

He looked in the cupboard first, and found the most amazing suculant mac and cheese cup. He knew he was gonna eat the fuck outta that thinkg. He put that aside and decided he wanted somehintg to go with it. He next went to the fridge.

The only thing in the firdge was boring stuff Jeffy didn't care about, until he saw something that intriqued him. A brown glass bottle, aka beer. Jeffy thought to himself, should he drink it? Would he even get drunk? If he did could he hide it from his parents? After also considering his boredom, he decided to chug it.

The drink tasted like ass. It deadass tasted like piss, not like Jeffy knew what that tasted like. But this was the only time for a while he''d be able to drink it, so he did. He chugged one, and didn't feel a thing.

"Wow, this is some weak shit." He said to himself, before taking another and chigging the cfuck out of it, then chugging another until he started to feel a little tipsy. He decided to go to his room after hiding the bottles to play some fortnite.

Once he sat down on his bed, he started to feel real tired, like his body wouldnt let him stay up. He fell backwards, not getting back up. His mouth was stuck open, but he didn't say a word. He was just there. He had no idea why his head was so... weird feeling. Was this being drunk? He didn't know.

Much to his dismay, he heard his adoptive dad's voice call him from downstairs. "JEFFY!!! TIME FOR DINNER!!!" He called. Jeffy groaned, before trying to stand up, keyword trying. He immeadiatley fell back down. He tgried again, and he was wobbly, but he managed to walk out of his room. Though, that was the farthest we went because as soon as he got out his door, he fell. He knew he wouldn't make it, so get needed to come up with another idea.

"IM NAT HUNGRY!" Jeffy shouted back as loud as he could. He slurred his words so much Marvin almost couldn't understand him. He just chocked itnup to tiredness.

"YOU NEED TO TAKE A BATH THEN! YOU HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW!" Marvin shouted. Well fuck, Jeffy thought.

"OK!" Jeffy shouted back. He knew he could just take his bath and go to bed, then his dad wouldn't even have to see him. It was genius. He stood himself up (after like 5 minutes of trying) and wobbled to the bathroom. He sat, or more like fell, onto the toilet and took a breather. He shut the door to avoid anyone seeing up, and then started the bath water because his ass knew he wouldn't be able to stand for a shower.

He waited for the water to fill the bathtub, and once it got to a good enough level, he stepped in, completely forgetting to take off his clothes other than his shoes. Though as drunk as he was, he didn't even notice, instead just enjoying the warmness of the water.

He relaxed for a few minutes, then decided to start washing his hair. He reached up for the shampoo, but much to his dismay, it was too far. He reached further, but instead of grabbing the bottle, he felt himself slipping. Within seconds his head was under the water, including his nose and mouth.

He was fucking drowning.

His drunk ass couldn't push himself up, no matter how hard he tried. His arms felt too weak. All he could do was struggle. He used his remaining brain cells to do the only thing he could. He brought his head up and inhaled deeply.

"HEEEEEEEEEELPPPPPPPPP! HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" He shouted, before going under again. He started kicking and jerking, but he couldn't get up. He didn't hear anyone coming to help him either. "FUCKING HELP ME DAMNIT!!!!! HEL-" He said, bringing his head up for another few seconds before drowning once again.

Thankfully he forgot to lock the door, and his hero was able to come in the bathroom and see him drowning. Jeffy couldn't tell who it was, but they shrieked, and pulled him out of the water, and sat him up. Jeffy choked on the remaining water in his lungs until he was able to breathe again. Once he wasn't about to die, he looked to the person who saved him.

"Hey JUnioR." Jeffy said in a hoarse voice, still slurring his speech.

"Are you okay?! How did you almost drown, why didn't you get up?!" Junior asked, his heart racing from almost seeing one of his best friends fucking die.

"Don't tell anywoh, but im drunk as FACK." Jeffy told him.

"WHAT?!" A voice that sounded like Junior shouted. Jeffy looked to it, and it definitely wasn't Junior. It was Marvin. "Jeffy you're DRUNK?!"

"God damnit, I told you nat to tell anywoh Juner!" Jeffy complained. Junior saw this as his cue to leave, along with Marvin's angry look.

"You're lucky that kid saved you. You're grounded for 2 months! How much did you even drink?!" Marvin lectured. In response, Jeffy made some weird 'woof' sound, and made his face all weird. "Answer me!"

"How many nipples I have." Jeffy responded. "Free of dem."

"You don't have three nipples Jeffy! Come on, we got to get you dried off and get you to bed. You better be sober in the morning because if you aren't you won't be able to go to school!" He continued lecturing, pulling Jeffy out of the tub.

"Fuck yea, I dont wana go to tat ho ass school anyway." Jeffy said.

Marvin got the boy dried off and clean after a lot of struggling, and a lot of Jeffy stumbling and falling. Luckily he was wearing a helmet. Marvin carried him to his bed, and Jeffy fell asleep almost instantly, which relieved Marvin. He then went back downstairs to finish dinner.

"What was wrong, Marvin? Was Jeffy okay?" Rose asked, still sitting at the table with an empty plate since she's finished already.

"That idiot almost drowned in the bathtub!" Marvin exclaimed.

"Oh my god! He's okay now though, right?! What happened?!" Rose asked frantically.

"He's fine, Braxton's kid saved him, and then I overheard Jeffy say that he's drunk! He drank 3 of my beers!" Marvin told her. Rose was in complete shock.

"Oh my! Will he be able to go to school tomorrow?"

"I'm making him go to school, hungover or not. If he wants to be an irresponsible idiot, then that's on him!" Marvin said. He then finished his dinner, and went to bed with his wife.

The next day Jeffy did wake up with a major hangover, as expected. Marvin gave him and asprin and sent him to school. He was slumped on his desk the whole day, feeling dizzy and tired like he hadn't eaten in 2 days. Junior had to tell Joseph and Cody what was up with him. Thankfully the day was calm, and the kids didn't have any tests or quizzes.

Though the day was wild, it also taught Jeffy a valuable lesson. Don't get drunk...

On a school night anyways-

Notes:

Ok I lowkey forgot to finish this while drunk so half of it was done while I was hungover or fully sober (like right now, since i ain't about to fall on the floor anymore)

Deadass I also went to school hungover, and boy was that fun! (SARCASM)

I felt like my blood sugar was low all day besides 8th period (Since it was weights and I was working out and stuff)

I didn't even expect to get drunk, maybe a little tipsy but not Fall-on-the-floor-giggling-like-a-fool drunk. I guess if the wine tastes like piss it'll get you drunk fast ebcause I had one shopkins cup of that shit, yet some red wine that tasted like cough medicine didn't do shit after 3 shots.

Though before I even got the wine (For context there's a bar in my backyard that has like 3 bottles) I snuck out the back door and went to the gas station and got some sunflower seeds and some gum, a monster for one of my besties, and some rollos for my boyfriend which he liked.

Honestly it was a W day and I'm kinda glad it was on a school night bc if it wasn't my grandma would've noticed and I would have to stay at the new house from now on which I fucking hate (I stay at our old house with my grandpa because all my stuffs here) but at the same time playing field hockey is ass when you can't hit the fucking ball because you're all dizzy and lightheaded and you're throats drier than a zesty edgars snapchat account

Chapter Text

Just learned it’s snowing in Florida right now where the SML cast lives so thought i’d write this!

(I started this when it was still snowing there so ye)

—--

Junior was sleeping in on this nice weekend day. It was about 12 pm, yet he was still lounging in bed watching the newly unbanned Tiktok on his phone. Suddenly, he got a call from Cody. He grumbled at the interruption, but answered anyway.

“What do you want, Cody? You just interrupted a very cute dog video!” He complained.

“Junior, have you looked out the window?!” Cody exclaimed, ignoring Junior’s whines.

“...No?” Junior said. He climbed out of his bunk bed and opened the curtains to see a sight he hadn’t seen in a long while.

Snow.

“Oh my god!!” Junior shouted in complete shock and astonishment.

“I know right? It’s snowing!” Cody cheered, grinning ear to ear.

“You and Joseph should come over and when the snow finished, we can build a snowman!” Junior suggested.

“Ok! Call him, and I’ll be right over!” Cody said before hanging up the phone and speeding to his mom’s room to ask her to give him a ride. Meanwhile, Junior was about to give Joseph a call when he got a text from his girlfriend.

~Penreloprie~
Heyy Junior! It’s snowing outside! Have you seen?

~Junebug~
Yep, 4 the firts time in forever

~Penreloprie~
Can I come to your house so we can hangout??

Junior thought for a second before responding to her. Would Joseph and Cody be mad if I invited her?? Then he thought, Fuck it, it’s my house. If they get mad they can leave.

~Junebug~
Sureee. Cody an Joseph are coming 2

~Penreloprie~
Okkkkkkk!

After closing out of the text, Junior went to again call Joseph, but he got a knock at the door. “Cody came here that fast? Wow.” He got out of bed and ran dwon the stairs.

Much to his surprise, it wasn’t Cody at the door, but it was someone else he knew well. Joseph.

“Oh hey Joseph! It’s snowing outside!” Junior greeted.

“I c-can tell, d-dude.” Joseph said, noticeably shivering while covered in a thin sheet of snow. “It’s c-cold as balls out here, let me in!” He demanded.

“Ok! Ok! I was planning on inviting you anyways, come in!” Junior said, finally letting Joseph in and shutting the door behind him. The two went upstairs, and Junior gave Joseph a blanket.

“Dude, I had just woken up, and I felt really cold, and then I realized there was snow all over me! I was all cold, and my stuff was all snowy and soaked! I hate winter!!!” Joseph complained.

“Come on, Joseph. Snow here is really rare! It hasn’t snowed in like 3 years! This is exciting! Me, you, Cody, and Penelope can make snow angels and build the coolest snowman EVA!” Junior cheered.

“Whatever, dude… Wait, Penelope?!” Joseph pouted, before realizing that his friend invited an extra member.

“Oh yeah… she’s coming over too.” Junior admitted. “But even if she’s coming, we can still have fun!”

Joseph looked skeptical. “Really… It’s hard to have fun when you guys' tongues are down each other's throats.”

Junior went to respond, but there was a knock at the door. Junior left Joseph for a moment to answer it. At the door were both Cody and Penelope.

“Hey guys!” Junior greeted happily. “I didn’t expect you two to come at the same time.”

“Don’t you mean 3?” Cody corrected, pointing at Ken who had a blue puffy coat on yet was still in shorts.

“That’s a doll Cody…” Penelope said, a little weirded out but not fully since… Well, it’s Cody.

“Whatever, come on, let’s go to the couch and wait for it to snow some more.” Junior said, letting the two glasses-wearers in and shutting the door behind him. He brought them upstairs and they all sat on the red couch, Penelope taking Cody’s usual spot leaving him on the edge of the couch.

They decided to watch some random movie on netflix while they waited for the snow to fall. The movie was hilariously bad, so the gang decided to just talk amongst themselves. They went from topic to topic, Joseph mostly changing it when Penelope brought up something he thought was stupid.

Meanwhile, Marvin, Rose, and Jeffy were going upstairs to sit on the couch, not knowing it was already taken.

“Come on Marvin, we gotta go play in the snow! It’s finally snowing after so long!” Rose begged.

“Yeah Daddy, I wanna make you into a frozen water man!” Jeffy added.

“It’s called a snowman, Jeffy. And it’s too cold outside, not to mention inside.” Marvin told them. They made it up the stairs and to the door of the entertainment room, but Marvin noticed the TV was on, and multiple heads poking from the couch. “God damnit, that kid has his friends over and is hogging the couch.” He sighed. “Let’s go see if the dining room’s free, and we can warm up there and watch netflix on my phone or something.” Marvin and Rose went towards the stairs, but Jeffy stayed put.

“I’m gonna stay up here and hang out with Junior.” Jeffy said, leaving his parents in the dust and going to the red couch.

“At least we’ll get some time alone.” Rose said, before leading her husband down the stairs.

“Hey Junior, what doin?” Jeffy said, coming up from behind the couch.

“Oh, hey Jeffy! We’re chilling and waiting for the snow to pile up so we can build a snowman.” Junior responded.

“And snow angels!” Penelope added.

“Let’s just go out now, I think there’s like a few inches out there already.” Jeffy said.

“Really? Okay! Come on guys, let’s go build the coolest, biggest, most epic snowman EVA!!!” Junior said, jumping out of his seat, and running down the stairs. All his friends followed him as they got their coats and shoes, and went outside. Marvin and Rose could hear the commotion from the dining room.

“What are they doing? I can’t hear my phone!” Marvin complained.

“I think they’re going outside. At least now we can have the couch back.” Rose told the man.

The group looked around in awe as they saw snow everywhere around them. On the ground, on the houses, and it was still falling. They definitely weren’t used to the cold, but it was normal since it’s Florida. The falling snow made the porch slick, so much so that Junior almost slipped and fell.

“Woah! Careful guys, it’s slick.” He warned. The group cautiously walked off of the porch and stood in the snow.

“The snow’s a little light…” Penelope commented. “But, I guess if we got a lot of it, we could make a good-sized snowman.”

“How do we even make a snowman? I’ve only seen it in movies.” Joseph asked.

“I’m guessing we just make big snowballs and stack them, then get rocks for the face.” Penelope guessed.

“Ooooo, balls. I’ll make the bottom one!” Cody said, starting to roll a snowball.

The group decided to split up to make the rest of the snowman. Jeffy and Joseph were going to make the middle ball, and Junior and Penelope were going to make the head, face, and all the other details like arms.

“How do you want the face to look, Junior?” Penelope asked as she picked up sticks while Junior rolled the snowman’s head.

“Hmmm… I don’t exactly know… Maybe we can use two brown rocks as the eyes, I can steal a carrot from Chef PeePee for the nose, and… Maybe a stick for the mouth? Whatever we find that fits.” Junior explained.

“What about clothing? Like a hat and gloves and a scarf?” Penelope suggested.

“I know there’s a cool hat in the house closet, we can put that on him! As for the scarf, I don’t think we have any of those so we can just use a blanket, and for the gloves, I know my dad has a pair he uses whenever he doesn’t want to leave fingerprints or something.” Junior said.

“Alright, once we get the actual head done, I’ll go find the rocks and the outside stuff, and you can find the clothing.” Penelope said.

“Ok!!”

Meanwhile, Jeffy and Joseph were nearly done with their middle part. It was getting pretty big, so they both pushed it.

“I wish I could’ve been with Junior instead of his stupid girlfriend… But noooo…” Joseph grumbled to himself. “No offense, Jeffy.”

“None taken, but if Junior wants to go snorkeling, then he can go snorkeling.” Jeffy said.

“Go snorkeling? What… Oh-” Joseph said before realizing what Jeffy actually meant. “I think this ball is big enough, let’s go see if Cody needs any help. He probably does.”

Jeffy made his weird grunt sound before following Joseph.

Junior ran inside and made his way to the kitchen, where he started raiding the fridge for supplies. Chef PeePee was started by his wet stomping, and even more so by all the water and snow that was being dragged around. “Damnit Junior! Why didn’t you wipe off your feet?! Now there’s snow all over the floor!”

Junior looked at the ground to see a trail of water and snow that had followed him. “Sorry, I didn’t know I had to.Do we have any carrots?”

The chef sighed. “In the right drawer.” Junior found the carrot he needed and ran to the house closet. The only hat he could find was a red cap, so he just used that. He got a blanket from upstairs and then went to his dads room. Braxton was awake, watching Charleyy as usual. “Hey dad, can I borrow your gloves?”

“What? Why? I give you like $100 bucks a month, why are you robbing places?! Whatever, just don’t get caught.” Braxton said, standing up for the first time in a while and finding his gloves.

“I’m not robbing any place, I need them for a snowman.” Junior said.

“Snowman?! We live in Florida Junior, it never snows even in the middle of winter.” Braxton exclaimed. Junior told him to look out his window, so he opened the dusty curtain to see a whole blanket of snow on the ground. “Oh my god it did snow! I haven’t seen this much snow since I was like 30!”

“I know right?! That’s why we need the gloves for our snowman! We’re making the biggest snowman EVA!” Junior said.

“Well, here, take them. Send me a picture of it once it’s done, I ain’t goin out in that cold, I’m too comfy and Charleyyy’s on.” Braxton said, tossing his son the gloves.

“Thanks dad!” Junior beamed. He took the gloves, hat, carrot, and blanket back outside. Penelope had already finished the head, and Joseph and Jeffy had finished the middle. Now they were helping Cody with the bottom. “Wow, that’s a big snowball. It’s almost to my chest!”

“I know right?” Joseph grunted, struggling to push the snowball. “I think we should stop here, dudes. We still have to stack the snowballs on top of each other.”

“Take away the snow and that sounds like one of my dreams.” Cody said to myself, but loud enough so the others could hear. They were disturbed, but decided it would be best if they just ignored him.

“Anyways, let’s start building him. I’ll push the middle onto the base, who’s gonna help?” Junior asked the group.

“Is this where we’re gonna have the snowman though? We’re kind of at the side of your house right now, wouldn’t you want it more in the front?” Penelope questioned. Junior thought for a moment.

“Good idea, let’s push the base to the front first, then we’ll start constructing.” Junior praised.

“We’re gonna need all of us to push it, it’s really heavy. Not even my daddy could push it if he tried.” Jeffy said.

They all decided to push the base together, even Penelope which surprised Joseph for some reason. With all 5 of them, it went faster than with just 3. Within a few minutes it was already where they wanted it. Their arms felt like spaghetti once they were done, but they felt accomplished.

“Now we just need the middle part… who wants to do that?” Cody asked the group. No one said anything besides Joseph.

“Heck nah, dude. I feel more tired than the times I had to run from the cops after stealing lunchables from the gas station.” Joseph responded. “I need a break.”

“Me too, let’s go see if Chef PeePee can make us some hot chocolates.” Junior said. He went to the front door along with the group. They were barely able to even step foot in the door before the chef ran over to the door and stopped them in their tracks.

“HEY!” He shouted, scaring the snow off of the teens. “Before you even TOUCH my kitchen, I want to see each of you wipe your shoes off on the carpet because I JUST finished cleaning up Junior’s mess. And if I have to mop again I’m BURNING all of the snow! Alright?!” The group was so petrified that they just nodded and then wiped their boots on the carpet in a single-file line as Chef PeePee watched them closely. “Now, what do you brats want?”

“Can you make us some hot chocolate?” Junior asked.

“Make it yourself, the packets are in the pantry. I’m taking a nap.” Chef PeePee deadpanned, before walking out of the room into the downstairs living room. Junior shrugged, and lead the group to the kitchen to make them some hot chocolate.

“So you just put the packets in hot water right?” Junior asked cluelessly.

“Yep. It’s easier to warm up water using a coffee machine or something like that. Do you have one?” Penelope responded.

“Over there.” Junior said, pointing to the counter to the side of them. “I just don’t know how to work it.”

“Allow me, I have one of these at my house and I use it all the time.” Penelope said, taking a mug from the cupboard and putting it on the coffee machine. “I wouldn’t be able to stay awake at school without any coffee, so I’m pretty experienced.” She got some more cups and put hot water in all of them, before putting the hot chocolate in all of them. Junior found some mini marshmallows in the pantry, and added those to the cups as well. The two were proud of their work.

“Guys! Drinks are done!” Junior called to the other three members of the group, who were in the dining room playing some Imessage game or something.

“Finally!” Jeffy exclaimed, running towards the kitchen. Joseph and Cody were still sitting, still playing their game.

“One second Junior, I’m about to beat Cody in checkers!” Joseph told the ginger.

“Nuh uh! You only have 2 pieces left, I have 10.” Cody corrected. “Actually… Now you only have one.”

“Damnit!” Joseph shouted. “Whatever, I quit. I want my hot chocolate.” He turned off his phone, put it in his pocket, and went to the kitchen, Cody following him and gloating about his win. Junior was the last to take his cup, but he didn’t mind. He was just glad it cooled down a little bit.

“I’m surprised you have any hot chocolate, Junior. It’s always in the 60s.” Cody said, sipping his drink carefully.

“Yeah I just saw it like a week ago while looking for Chef PeePee’s stash of Mac and Cheese cups. I couldn’t find the cups of cheesy goodness, but at least now we’re warm.” Junior replied. He took a look out the window as he finished the last of his drink and realized that they needed to finish their snowman. “Anyone still got any hot chocolate left?”

“I just finished mine. No wonder the north people love this stuff so much, it’s amazing.” Joseph said.

“Me too!” Penelope agreed, making Joseph frown for whatever reason. Cody and Jeffy were almost done with theirs.

“Once you guys are done, we gotta go back outside to finish building our snowman!” Junior said. “By the way, what should we name it?”

“ShittyDiddy85-4-22-69!” Jeffy exclaimed, which gained him some weird looks from the group.

“Uhhh, I don’t even know if I could remember that.” Cody said. “Say it again…?”

“DiddyTheDiddler85-14-4.” Jeffy said.

“That wasn’t the same as last time… though we could name it Diddy, that’d be funny. We could go to school and we could tell everyone we built the biggest snowman EVA and its name is Diddy! We’d be so cool!” Junior exclaimed.

“I don’t know, Junior. That’s kind of a bad name, considering what P Diddy has done…” Penelope reasoned.

Joseph groaned. “Well, I like the name Diddy.” He sassed. “I vote yes.”

“Well that’s 3 against 1, including Jeffy. You can choose his last name though.” Junior said.

“Alright then.” Penelope said, a little defeated but still accepting. She thought for a moment before getting a great idea, shown by the happy look on her face. “How about Flakes? Like snowflakes?”

“Diddy Flakes… sounds good to me, what do you guys think?” Junior asked the group.

“Sounds good to me, even if the first name is weird.” Cody said.

“I think it sounds corny, but whatever you want to do to simp I guess.” Joseph mumbled.

“I like it. It’s Flakes, like Frosted Flakes. My daddy’s tiger loves that cereal.” Jeffy said.

Suddenly, a tiger popped it’s head into the dinning room. “They’re grrreat!” He said, scaring the bejesus out of the teens. “Ahah, Poop!” He then disappeared, leaving the room silent.

“Let’s just go outside now…” Cody said, slowly standing up, and walking out. The rest of the group followed him.

Now that they had the bottom where they wanted, everything else would be a little bit easier. They pushed the middle part over to where the bottom was, and struggled but managed to successfully put it on top of the base. Penelope took some of the rocks she’d gathered and used them for buttons for the snowman. She then finished the head and Junior helped her put that on it while the other three went to gather arms for Mr Diddy Flakes.

“This snowman is as tall as I am!” Penelope exclaimed, shocked and amazed at the same time. Junior gave her the hat to put on Diddy Flakes’ head, and he put on the blanket around its neck. “Now we just need the arms to put the gloves on.”

A few minutes later, Cody, Joseph, and Jeffy had found two similar-looking sticks. They stuck them into DF and Junior put the gloves on it. “He looks amazing!” Junior exclaimed. “We gotta get a picture with him, scooch in guys!” He took out his phone, put it in landscape mode, got everyone (including the snowman) in the picture, and took the photo. “This is awesome, I can’t wait to show my dad!”

“Me too, Junior. My daddy’s going to drop his balls when he sees it, I just know it.” Jeffy agreed. On cue, Marvin opened the door and looked out.

“Jeffy? What are you doing out here? And where’s my hat?” Marvin called out.

“I’m right here Daddy. Look at our snowman! We put your hat on it!” Jeffy said.

Marvin was silent in shock, which confused the teens. He tried to speak, but nothing came out. “Y-y-y-you… put my OLD HAT on the SNOWMAN?!?!”

“Yeah… is that bad? It’s just snow, it’ll get off.” Junior said.

“No, you don’t understand! That hat is from before I settled down and became a father. It’s magic, and can turn certain things alive AND evil!” Marvin shouted.

“Nothing’s happened yet…” Penelope said, but she spoke too soon, because the snowman started to slowly move and shift, before it stood up, and blinked.

It was alive. Its appearance has shifted. Its gloves turned yellow, a small blue hat appeared on top of Marvin's hat, and its carrot nose sunk into its face. All of them were in shock at the sight, especially Marvin who was petrified. The snowman looked at the group of teens.

“What is that, daddy?” Jeffy asked.

“T-t-that's a Mr Blizzard… He throws snowballs.” Marvin choked out, trying not to attract attention to him, though he failed, and Diddy Flakes, or now known as Mr Blizzard, stared right at him, then made an angry expression. The door unfortunately shut behind Marvin, which made it so he had nowhere to run. The snowman seemed to pull a snowball out of no where, and aimed to throw it at Marvin. Marvin screamed, before running away. The snowman missed and hit one of the pillars near the door, which now had a chunk missing.

“OH MY GOD! RUN!” Junior shouted, screaming as he and the others ran away from Diddy Flakes. They ran all the way around the house, and hit behind an air thing in the backyard. There, they found Marvin. “What is that thing?!” Junior whisper-yelled.

“I told you it’s a Mr Blizzard! They’re very dangerous, and one hit from its snowball can send you flying!” Marvin whisper-yelled back.

“I’m too young to die! I still have to buy those Jordans!” Joseph cried.

“And I still have to go off on my dad for not being there for me!” Penelope added, making Joseph frown for a moment before going back to his scared face.

“How do we kill it?!” Cody asked anxiously, hearing more snowballs being thrown.

“We either need a turtle shell, or a star, or if we get close enough we can punch it.” Marvin answered.

“Where the heck are we gonna get a shell?” Jeffy questioned.

“I have my old one somewhere inside, but I don’t know exactly where and it could take hours to find… If someone were to distract it, one of us could go up and punch it.” Junior said.

“Daddy can distract it!” Jeffy said.

“I mean… I used to, but I’m old now, and I don’t know if I could.” Marvin said.

“And you say I watch too much tv… Come on Dadday, you can distract him! You got this! Go Daddy! Go daddy go!” Jeffy cheered.

“Okay! Okay! I’ll do it, but just so you’ll shut up and stop letting that thing know where we are…” Marvin grumbled. “Who’s punching it?”

“I could… unless someone else wants to…” Cody said. No one said anything. “Okay, I guess I’m punching it. At least I can put my muscles to work.”

“Alright, you sneak around the house and go behind it, then punch it in the back of the head.” Marvin said.

“Ok, give it the ‘Of Mice and Men’ treatment, got it.” Cody said, sneaking out of the hiding spot.

“What do you want us to do, sir?” Penelope asked.

“Uh… back either me or that glasses kid up if we need it. Otherwise, stay out of the way so you don’t get hurt.” Marvin said. He stood up, and crept away from the hiding place. “HEY SNOW-BUTT! OVER HERE!!!”

Diddly Flakes quickly turned to Marvin and narrowed its eyes. It got a snowball and revved its arm up before hurling a snowball at Marvin. Marvin leaped out of the way, effectively dodging it but almost hurting himself in the process. He groaned before standing up, only to see a snowball coming right for his chest. He wasn’t able to dodge it and was hit, which sent him flying so far he almost hit the lake. He laid there for a few moments as the snowman approached him, ready to give him a final blow.

Junior, Joseph, Jeffy, and Penelope saw this and got anxious. “Where the hell is Cody?!” Joseph exclaimed.

“I don’t know, but Jeffy’s dad is about to get canned.” Junior said. Jeffy heard this and immediately stood up.

“GET UP DADDY! FIGHT THAT SNOW-BASTARD TO THE DEATH!” He shouted. The snowman quickly turned to the noise, seeing a very angry Jeffy, and the three others who were frozen with shock.

“Jeffy! What the hell?!” Penelope said, rightfully mad at Jeffy for just exposing them. Diddy went to approach them, so they quickly ran around the side of the house. The snowman went to follow them, but Marvin kicked its base, making it again, angry at the man.

“That kid needs to hurry! What’s taking so long?!” Marvin mumbled to himself, before running away from the snowman to not get hit and sent into freezing water.

Meanwhile, Cody was inside, getting scolded by Chef PeePee. “And then you just leave them there, some almost half-full, and NOT EVEN ON COASTERS!”

“I know! I know! I’m sorry, and we’ll clean it up later, but right now-” Cody said, but was cut off by the chef.

“What could possibly be more important than cleaning up a mess?!” Chef PeePee questioned.

“There’s a KILLER SNOWMAN outside right now trying to kill all my friends AND Jeffy’s dad!” Cody shouted. The chef did a double take, and went to object, but Cody ran out the door. There, he met Junior and the others running around.

“Cody?! What are you doing inside?!” Junior asked furiously.

“Chef PeePee pulled me in there to scold me about the mess, like, literally pulled me!” Cody exclaimed. “How’s Marvin doing?”

“Bad. He got hit and almost sent into the lake!” Joseph said.

“Well let’s go save him!” Cody said, before sprinting around the house to the backyard. There, Marvin was still dodging snowballs from Diddy. Once Marvin caught Cody’s eye, he gave him an angry glare and motioned to the snowman, before dodging yet another snowball. Cody took the hint and ran up behind Diddy Flakes Blizzard and punched him as hard as he could. Some snow came off him, and it even left a mark, but the snowman wasn’t fazed, and turned around more angry than ever. “What the hell?! You said that’d work!”

“It used to!” Marvin responded, before watching Cody get launched into the side of the house, and flop down on the ground face-first like a cartoon character. “Maybe… maybe only I can do it? I was the only playable character in the original Super Marvin 65…” Marvin thought out loud. He saw the snowman look towards him, so he got up and sprinted around the house, almost getting hit with multiple snowballs.

“Well… we’re dead.” Penelope deadpanned. “Unless we have a new plan, that thing is going to send us flying halfway across the world!”

“I could go for some Mexican food right now…” Junior said, making Penelope face-palm.

“That’s not even- You know what, nevermind…”

Marvin then appeared behind them, scaring the crap out of them. “Hey! One of you guys need to distract the snowman!”

“You can’t be that tired already, daddy.” Jeffy said.

“I’m not tired, Jeffy.” Marvin grumbled. “I just think that I may be the only one who can one-punch it. If I could do it in the game, I should be able to do it in real life.”

“That sounds like it might work. Who’s a fast runner here?” Penelope asked.

“Ooo! Ooo! I am!” Joseph said. “I’ll run so fast around that thing that it’ll see stars!” He exclaimed, running around the back to find Diddly Flakes.

“What do we do if you can’t kill it?” Penelope questioned.

“Uh… write your will?” Marvin said, giving a nervous smile before jogging around the back to find the snowman.

“I hope this works… I don’t have anything to leave anyone besides like 10 dollars, and you’ll be dead anyways so I can’t leave it to you… I could give it to Chef PeePee to pay him back for that game I borrowed his credit card for…” Junior said.

“Borrowed, huh?” Penelope said.

When Marvin got to the backyard, he said Joseph effectively dodging the snowman’s hits, making the snowman pretty mad. “You’re trash my guy! I got moves like Jagger! Try to hit me you white freak!” He gloated. He continued gloating as Marvin snuck up behind Diddly Flakes. As soon as he was a good distance behind it, he revved his arm, ready to swing.

“EAT HAND, SNOW BITCH!” He shouted, before punching the snowman’s head so hard, it turned to powder as his hand went clean through. The snowman then fell apart, the pieces of his head laying on the ground, and the face somehow still being intact in the shape of a frown. The middle and base basically disintegrated, and all that was left were the solid parts, and Marvin’s hat. He triumphantly took his hat off the ground and put it on his head. “I guess I still have my skills.” He said proudly to himself.

Junior ran over to the now destroyed snowman, a happy yet sad look on his face. “Awww… it took us forever to build him…”

“Didnt you take a picture?” Jeffy asked.

“Oh yeah! I did!” Junior said, taking his phone out of his pocket and going to his gallery to load up the picture. Though instead of making him happy, he frowned. “Dammit! I blinked!”

The group got Cody off the ground and conscious again. He was fortunately okay. His stomach hurt, but nothing was broken. He was disappointed his punch didn’t work, but he was just happy to be alive after being thrown into a wall.

“I’m going inside, it’s cold out here. You guys can stay if you want, just don’t touch my hat.” Marvin said.

“Screw that, I’m going inside too! I’m sick of snow.” Jeffy exclaimed, following his dad.

The rest of the group also followed. They stood in the doorway and wiped their boots off, before taking all of their snow stuff off completely. Marvin was talking to Rose and Chef PeePee about what had happened, while the teens eavesdropped.

“And then it threw the kid into the wall, so I had this other kid distract it while I punched it, and I killed it!” Marvin said proudly.

“That didn’t happen, Marvin. There’s no way!” Rose said.

“Actually it did! I saw it all on the cameras” A voice coming down the stairs said. It was Braxton. “Diddy Flakes, huh?” He said, turning to Junior.

“Yep, awesome name, right?” Junior asked.

“I would’ve named it Charleyyy, but it’s fine I guess.” Braxton said, leaving Junior defeated.

“So Cody wasn’t lying to get out of cleaning? Huh…” Chef PeePee said. “But weren’t you watching Charleyyy and Friends?”

“Some stupid long commercial came on, and I was waiting on Junior to send the picture of that snowman, and then I realized that I could just see it on the cameras. When I checked, it threw Marvin across the yard with a snowball! That was as funny as a Charleyy episode… almost. Then Marvin became some hero and defeated it after Junior’s nerd friend got folded.” Braxton explained.

“Wow… I didn’t think you still had that kind of strength in you, Marvin!” Rose said, surprised.

“Well I do! I’m your amazing, strong, sexy, and NOT bald husband!” Marvin said, triumphantly putting his hands on his hips.

“I think that last part is a little inaccurate. Just a hunch.” Junior said, wiping the smile off of Marvin’s face and making Rose laugh.

“Whatever…” Marvin grumbled.

Chapter Text

Penelope was laying in her bed and doing her homework. Out of nowhere, she heard voices downstairs starting to raise their volume. It was Karen and Brooklyn Guy, arguing like always. From what Penelope could decipher, her dad was mad that Karen got his McDonalds order wrong, while Karen said that the workers got it wrong. Penelope didn’t know who was exactly in the wrong, and she didn’t care either. She swore they were always going back and forth about something.

She felt her phone buzz, and she checked the notification. It was from a group chat she was in with all her friends. It was originally called ‘School GC’, but eventually got the amazing title “XxxRizzy Sigma studentzzzzXxx” from Junior. She rolled her eyes at the title and checked the message.

~Junebug<3~

Any1 got the hw i dont feel like doing it tbh my dad saw my grades and yk :/

Penelope read the message, and before she could respond, someone else did.

~Cody!~

What are you gonna give me in return 😏

~Penelope~

Cody you know I’m in here right?

Penelope loved Cody as a friend, but his advances at her boyfriend really made her uncomfortable.

~Junebug<3~

Yo Penlepreo, you think you can come over and help me?

~Cody!~
Jesus christ Junior how the heck did you get Penlepreo from Penelope?

Penelope giggled at Junior’s lack of spelling skills before typing her response.

~Penelope~

Of course Junior. Maybe I can help you with your spelling too

~Weird Pencil Kid~

Daym she got you there juniorrrrrr that’s crazy chat

Penelope put her phone up, and went downstairs to ask her dad if he would drive her to Junior’s house. She had a feeling that he was going to go see his buddy Marvin, and he lives in the same house as Junior, so she was hopeful that he’d say yes.

“Hey dad…” Penelope said to her father once she made her way downstairs. Brooklyn was on the couch with a beer in his hand. Great, Penelope thought. He’s going to be drunk again.

“Wassup Penelope? ‘You finish your homework yet or whatever?”

“Yeah, I did. I wanted to ask you something.” Penelope said.

“No you can’t see Debra right now, and if you say you’re a lesbian I won’t kick you out. I’ll love you a little less, but at least I won’t have to worry about you getting pregnant.” Brooklyn answered before taking another drink of his beer.

“What?! No dad! I wanted to ask if I could go to Junior’s house!” Penelope exclaimed, slightly offended by her father’s bluntness.

“Hmmmm,” He thought for a moment. “Nah.” he said, before taking yet another swig of beer while Penelope responded.

“Why?! If it’s because you think we’re gonna do something it’s not, I’m just helping him with the homework.” Penelope assured her father.

Brooklyn finished chugging his bottle and looked to the kitchen. “Well Karen’s burning dinner, and I’m drunk. So, no.” Brooklyn said. “It’s a school night anyways, wait until the weekend or just text him like you kids do. Now, shoo. The Heat game’s on and I gotta watch them lose without Jimmy.”

“This is bullcrap!” Penelope exclaimed, before storming up the stairs and to her room. She heard her dad mumble something, but she didn’t bother to hear it. She flopped on her bed face-first and groaned into her pillow.

After having an emo breakdown into her mattress, she sat up, fixed her hair, and went to text Junior and tell him that she couldn’t come.

“I wish my dad would just let me go. I don’t know why he’s like this. He’s probably gonna go see Marvin in like an hour anyways.” She grumbled to herself while taking out her phone. She tapped on Junior’s contact on her phone to tell him that she couldn’t come over, but then she had an idea. “What if I don’t listen to my dad? I mean, he’ll be too focused on basketball to check on me anyways… Maybe I can just sneak out?”

She looked at her window. She knew if she used a few of her sheets and spare fabric, she could easily climb up and down. And if she couldn’t, she knew her dad would be passed out when she got back home anyways. “Okay, I’m going to do this…” She told herself.

Penelope took a piece of paper and some tape and taped a note on her door that read “I’m not hungry, and I’m probably sleeping by the time you see this, so don’t check on me.” Then she took some sheets from her closet, and tied them together like a long rope. “I’m glad I used to do girl scouts, it was surprisingly helpful.” she said to herself. She tied it to the window, gave it a good yank to make sure it was secure, and started her descent.

The rope was surprisingly secure, holding her weight just like a regular rope. Penelope carefully scaled down the side of her house, making sure to not make too much noise. Once she was close enough to the ground, she jumped off the rope and landed on the ground. “Oh my god, I can’t believe this is happening…” she panted. “Now, just to walk to Junior’s house. It’s not that far, only a few blocks.”

She crept around her house, making sure to stay away from the front window. She started walking, though she decided to jog after she felt walking was too slow. It was starting to get dark, and she really didn’t want to walk through the roads in the dark, even though she would have to on her way back. After about 15 minutes, she finally made her way to Junior’s street.

She found his house, went up to his front door, and knocked. After a moment, the door opened to reveal Junior’s personal chef.

“JUNIOR!!! YOUR GIRLFRIEND OR WHATEVER IS HERE!!!!” He called upstairs. He turned back to Penelope. “He’ll be down in a minute.” He then went back to the kitchen, leaving Penelope at the door.

She heard quick footsteps coming down the stairs, each one getting progressively louder until the ginger boy was down the stairs and in view.

“Hey Penelope!” Junior greeted, panting slightly from running.

“Hey Junior! Ready for the homework?” Penelope asked eagerly.

“Ugh, I forgot that's why you were coming over.” Junior groaned. He led Penelope upstairs to the living room, only to find the couch was already taken by Jeffy's family. “Great, now we have nowhere to sit. Come on, let's go to the dining room.”

“Why can't we go to your room?” Penelope asked curiously.

“It's kinda… a mess.” Junior admitted.

“Of course it is.” Penelope giggled. Junior then led her down the stairs to the dining room. Luckily it was clear, so the both sat across from each other. They could smell Chef Fernando’s horrible cooking, but they had no other option.

“So, it’s on triangles, right?” Junior asked.

“Yes, Junior. That’s what we’ve been learning about for the past week.” Penelope replied. “Where are you at on the homework? You’ve at least started it, right?” Junior’s silence told her that he hadn’t even tried it yet. “Alright… I’ll give you the notes and walk you through it, but I’m not doing it for you.”

“Okay…” Junior said, knowing that he’ll at least attempt to have her give him the answers anyways.

The two worked on the homework together for over an hour. They took a short break to get something to eat, but other than that, Penelope made sure Junior was working. Junior wasn’t able to finesse any answers out of her either, much to his dismay.

“Only 1 problem left, Junior. You got this.” Penelope cheered.

“Is this really gonna help my grade out at all?” Junior asked, slumped on the table tiredly.

“It’ll bump it up a little bit, probably a good amount since the new semester just started.” Penelope replied.

“Fine… maybe then my dad won’t yell at me.” Junior mumbled. The two lovebirds then heard the doorbell ring. Chef Peepee came out of the kitchen and answered the door. Whoever it was, said a few words to the chef.

“MARVIN!!! YOU’RE DRUNK FRIEND IS HERE!!!” The chef called up the stairs. Penelope’s heart dropped instantly, and Junior’s did a little bit too. The chef went back to the kitchen to continue doing whatever chef’s do while Brooklyn waited at the door.

“Oh my god, of my god, I knew he’d be here.” Penelope whispered to herself in a panic.

“What do we do?” Junior asked.

“Hide me!” Penelope yelled in a hushed voice. Junior took her hand and ran her to the kitchen while Marvin came down the stairs to answer the door. The two teens looked around the kitchen for a moment, before hiding Penelope in the pantry. He shut the door and stood in front of it.

“Junior? What are you doing? Why is your girlfriend in the pantry?” Chef Peepee questioned.

“I’ll tell you later, just shush!” Junior told the man. He carefully watched Brooklyn and Marvin talk for a moment before Marvin went up the stairs. Though, much to Junior’s dismay, Brooklyn didn’t follow and instead went into the kitchen. The kitchen.

“Heyyy Peepers… you… you got any beer?” Brooklyn slurred, leaning onto the counter in front of the chef. The chef sighed annoyed before responding.

“Somewhere around here. Look for it, I’m busy making my bosses’ brat’s dinner.”

“Alraaat” Brooklyn said. “Thanks man. Y-you… you… you are really kool, you know that?” He stumbled over to the fridge as the Chef mumbled something Junior didn’t catch. Brooklyn opened the fridge and looked around in it, then looked in the freezer too for some reason. “Huh… I’ll check the pantry…”

‘Really?!’ Junior thought. He panicked, trying to come up with an excuse as fast as possible. He nearly fainted when the drunk man stood in front of him, confused.

“Aye man, can I get in there real quick?” Brooklyn asked.

“I-I… Uh- There’s no beer-” Junior stuttered. “I-I already checked.”

The man looked confused. “Are you underage drinking? Ima cop, you know.” he said, raising a brow. Junior choked on his words, too scared to say anything. “Ah, I’m just joshin’ ya. I know you kids wanna try everything once. I’ll tell ya this, though. That beer does NAT taste gud, I just drink it for the feelin’. If you want somethin’ gud, drink wine.” The man then left to go upstairs.

Once he was fully up the stairs, Junior let Penelope out of the pantry. “Thank god you got him to leave. I need to get home soon.” She said.

“Yeah, it’d be best if you did, before your dad comes back down here. Want me to walk you home? It's kinda dark out right now.” Junior offered.

“Sure, that’d be nice.” Penelope responded.

“Alright, let’s go.” Junior said. They walked out of the kitchen, but before they fully left, Junior called out to Chef Peepee. “CHEF PEEPEE I’M GOING ON A WALK!!!”

“WHATEVER! DINNER WILL BE DONE WHEN YOU GET BACK!!!” Chef Peepee called back.

The two stepped outside and started walking. It was about a 20 minute walk from Junior’s house to Penelope’s, so it would take a while. Penelope stayed close to Junior, slightly fearing what could happen to them out in the middle of the darkness. She feared even more for what might happen to Junior on his walk back.

“You’re really gonna walk back home all by yourself?” Penelope asked.

“Probably. If I get too tired, or scared which won’t happen because I’m so brave, I’ll just call Chef Peepee to come pick me up.” Junior responded confidently.

“Alright then, that’s good. I’m just a little worried, y’know?” Penelope said.

“Yeah, I get it. But I’ll be fine. It’s a quiet town, for the most part.” Junior said.

Junior and Penelope continued walking. Both of them had memorized the way to and from each other’s houses, so going back and forth was easy. They made casual conversation as the minutes passed. It wasn’t boring, or scary. It was peaceful, which was great especially after the scare both of them had after almost being discovered.

About 10 minutes into the walk, they saw a car about to pass them. They didn’t mind it at first, but then they realized that it was slowing down. Penelope started to silently freak out, clinging onto Junior’s arm like a stair rail. Junior looked back, and realized that it was a cop car. ‘Shoot.’ Junior thought.

The cop pulled up to the two and rolled down his window. Junior was seriously considering running, but he didn’t want to possibly get Penelope in more trouble than she would be in. “What are you kids doing out here? It’s nighttime, as you can tell.” The officer asked.

“We were just walking home…” Penelope said nervously.

“Wait, Penelope? What are ya doing? Where’s your dad at? I tried to call him like 3 times to tell him he’s on duty.” The officer said.

“Simmons?” Penelope said. “Uh… my dad is at his friend's house. He’s kinda drunk right now so…”

“Huh… Drunk on a Thursday… I figured he’d wait until Friday, but I guess I was wrong. Anyways, why are you walking in the dark? You could get kidnapped!” Simmons questioned.

“I didn’t have a ride home, and I walked there anyway so this was my only option. My boyfriend is walking with me though.” Penelope responded.

“Well I don’t want you getting stolen, your dad would kill me, so how about I give you a ride home?” Simmons told her.

“That’d be great. Could you give my boyfriend a ride back home too? I think you know where he lives, since you’re over there a lot.” Penelope asked.

“Of course. Get in, little lassie and lad.” Simmons replied, opening the back car door. Once they were both in, he started driving back. A little into the drive, he got a call. “Oh, your dad’s calling me. ‘E’s probably worried about you, I’ll tell him you’re with me.”

“NO!” Penelope shouted instantly. Simmons gave her a weird look. “I mean… uh…”

“Something you’re hiding?” Simmons questioned, the phone still ringing.

“My dad doesn’t know I went over to my boyfriends house and the way I got there was walking because I snuck out of my window so if you tell him he’ll be really mad!” Penelope blabbed quickly.

“Please don’t tell her dad, he’ll ground her for like a year!” Junior added

Simmons knew the phone was going to go to voicemail any second now, so he just decided to answer it. “Yello?... Yeah mate, you’re on duty tonight…Yes, you have to go… I’ll drive… Yeah, I can pick you up in a second, I have something to do first… no, I don’t have any beer… okay, bye.” He hung up the phone, which sent a wave of relief over both Junior and Penelope.

“Thank you so much, uncle Simmons.” Penelope said, Junior a little confused by the name but brushing it off.

“No problem, I was a kid once too. It’ll just be our little secret.” Simmons replied. He pulled up to a house close to Penelope’s. “Be careful sneaking back in, you don’t want Brookie’s wife to hear ya.”

“Alright, thank you again! Bye Junior, love you!” Penelope called out, before exiting the car and jogging to her house before climbing up the rope she made. She gave a final wave to the cop car before climbing back into her room.

Simmons drove Junior back to his house and picked up Brooklyn Guy aswell. Brooklyn was confused on why Junior was in the car, but Simmons just told him that he caught him walking past curfew (Even though it was only like 7 pm) and Brooklyn believed it. Junior went inside, ate his burned dinner, and went to his room. He then opened his phone to see a message from Penelope.

Chapter Text

“So guys, what do you wanna do today?” Junior asked his friends brightly while sitting on the red couch.

“I don’t know about today, but I know I’m not gonna be able to do anything tomorrow.” Cody replied.

“Why’s that? We know you don’t have any other friends.” Joseph said, making Junior giggle a little.

“It’s because tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, and I’m going to be spending it with Ken.” Cody responded with a frown before gazing lovingly at his doll.

Joseph rolled his eyes, but Junior nearly jumped out of his seat. “THAT’S TOMORROW?!”

“Yep. Today’s the 13th, tomorrow is the 14th.” Cody said.

“Crap! I haven’t gotten Penelope’s gift ready! I kept putting it off and now it’s too late. She’s gonna hate me!” Junior exclaimed, putting his head in his hands.

“Calm down Junior, there’s still time. You can ask Chef PeePee to take you to the store and find something for her.” Cody reassured him.

“Yeah, just get a bucket, some of that tissue paper stuff, and throw a bear and some chocolate in there and you’re set!” Joseph added. “And if you’re fancy, get her like a necklace or something too.”

“I don’t know, I want to get her something really awesome. I just don’t know what…” Junior said.

“Look it up, ask her friends what she wants, or even her dad.” Cody recommended.

“I don’t know her friends, and it’d be weird if I randomly added them on snapchat or something. And her dad… I don’t know. He’s kinda questionable.” Junior said. “Maybe I can just get an idea when I go to the store later.”

“Good idea, dude. Now, let’s play some Marvin kart or something, I’m bored.” Joseph said.

The 3 boys played Marvin kart for a while, before moving to other games like Spiderman and Dance Dance Revolution. This went on for about 3 hours, until Cody went home and Joseph left to go steal some food from the gas station. Junior decided to go get himself some food, so he went down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Before getting to the kitchen, Marvin caught his eye. The older man was putting together a good-sized pink basket with lots of super Valentines-day-ey stuff. Junior almost wished he was married to the man; the basket looked great. He then had an idea to ask the man about what he should get for Penelope. After a little bit of thinking, he decided to do it.

“Hey, old geezer.” Junior said, walking up behind the man. He could hear the man sigh before turning around to look at him.

“What do you want, cheeto puff?” He retorted, raising a brow.

“How do you know what to get girls for Valentine’s Day? Like, you have a whole mountain over there! You gotta give me some pointers!” Junior questioned.

“Just get her what you think she’d like. For example, my wife likes spacey-stuff, so just take whatever interest she has and go to town.” Marvin said.

“I don’t know her interests that well. I know she likes reading, and boybands, and nerd stuff…” Junior said. “Anything in general I should get?”

“I don’t know, kid. Chocolates, candy she likes, a cute stuffed animal, and find out what her birthstone is and get her a necklace or something with it.” Marvin said. “Take those ideas, and build off of them.”

“Huh… I guess that would work, she is into star signs and stuff. Thanks Red man!” Junior said cheerfully, before running back up the stairs.

Marvin sighed once more. “That kid is weird… Now, I gotta hide this so Rose doesn’t see it. Maybe Chef PeePee will let me hide it in his kitchen.” He picked up the big gift basket with a struggle, and started walking to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Junior was in his room, scrounging around for all the money he could find. So far, he had 15 dollars and 27 cents. He was searching through his nightstand in hopes of finding some loose change. “Yes! Two quarters! That gets my total up to… uh… damn, I really need to pay attention in math more.” He said to himself. “Hopefully this is enough for some good stuff, though I guess I’m just gonna have to go to the dollar store for her gifts. I hope she doesn’t notice…”

“Thanks for letting me hide that in the cupboard, Chef PeePee.” Marvin said, before leaving the kitchen.

“Yeah, whatever.” The tired Chef responded. Marvin went up the stairs, and Junior passed him on his way down. He went up to Chef PeePee. “What do you want, Junior?”

“Can you take me to the dollar store? I need to get Penelope’s gifts for Valentine’s Day.” Junior asked.

“You haven’t done that already? It’s the 13th, Junior.” Chef PeePee questioned.

“I know, I was gonna ask earlier, I just forgot. So are you taking me or what?” Junior sassed.

Chef PeePee groaned. “Go wait in the car. I'll be out in a few minutes.”

Junior jogged outside and into the garage, Chef PeePee following him soon after. He then drove into the main town, and after a while found the dollar store. Junior went inside with his money while Chef PeePee waited in the car.

Junior expected the store to be all pink and red for valentines day, but instead it was light green and yellow for Easter. “Great, they've already switched most of their stuff to Easter. Hopefully they still have some lovey-dovey stuff.” Junior mumbled to himself. He got a shopping basket and went on his way.

Surprisingly, the store still did have some candy and stuff, which relieved the ginger boy. He found a cute little pink monkey and a chocolate box with a cat on it and decided to get that for her first. He went into the next aisle over and found some chocolate roses. He knew Penelope liked chocolate, so he was sure to get a good amount.

After getting some more candy, he went to find her main gift. The store didn't have many fancy looking gifts, but there were a few things. For example, there were some cool looking stones and gems that Junior knew he could craft into something cool enough. He googled it, and Penelope’s birthstone was an amethyst. So, he took the purple ones and put them into his basket. He tried looking for other things, but he was stumped and Chef PeePee was texting him and telling him to hurry up. So, he just went to the register.

Once he purchased the gifts, he jogged outside and got back into the car.

“What did you find?” Chef PeePee asked while backing out of the parking lot.

“Well, I got her a little monkey, some candy, some gemstones, and a red bucket to put it all in.” Junior replied.

“Just gemstones? She must really be into astrology or whatever it is.” Chef PeePee remarked.

“Well, not just those. I'm gonna make her a sign with her zodiac thingy too, I bet she'll love it.” Junior told the man.

“Wow. I didn't think you'd do this much.” Chef PeePee said.

“Well, I did. I'm quite the ladies man if I do say so myself.” Junior said proudly.

The chef scoffed. “Sure, whatever you say.”

After a little bit of driving, Chef PeePee finally drove back into the neighborhood and then into the driveway. Junior practically kicked his room open and then ran inside, all the way up the stairs, and to his room. He got out an old board he'd had in his closet with hopes of making something cool. He then got some neon blue paint, and painted the front of it. He used a golden paint marker to write ‘Aquarius’ in fancy lettering, And scattered the purple stones around it and held them in place with glue.

Once he added some final touches, he decided that it was finished. He thought it looked amazing, so he went downstairs to show Chef PeePee.

“Marvin, you know Jeffy doesn't like green beans. Why do you keep trying to make him eat them?” Chef PeePee questioned the shorter red man.

“He needs to learn to eat his greens!” Marvin retorted.

“There's other vegetables out there.” Chef PeePee said. As Marvin was about to say his comeback, he and the chef heard Junior coming down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“Chef PeePee! Look! I finished it!!!” He exclaimed hyperactively. Chef PeePee turned his head to look at it with a blank expression, but it quickly turned into a surprised one.

“Wow… that actually looks good.” The chef said, stunned.

Marvin took a look at it too. “Damn, he's right.”

“Told you I'm a ladies man.” Junior said smugly to the chef.

“Whatever. Dinner will be ready soon.” The chef said.

“And Jeffy's green beans?” Marvin questioned.

Chef PeePee side eyed the man. “If he throws his damn plate you’re cleaning it up and buying me a new one.”

Junior was deep into slumber when he heard a voice trying to wake him. He sat up, and saw Chef PeePee standing below him. The chef then walked out of the room so Junior could get ready. Junior checked his phone first as any teenager would do these days and saw the date.

“Holy crap! It’s Valentine's Day!” Junior said. “I’m so excited to show Penelope her stuff! I gotta get ready fast!” He then changed from his pajamas to his usual outfit, brushed his teeth, combed the furry cheeto puff on his head, and then ran downstairs.

He got into the kitchen, and tried hyping up Chef PeePee about it being Valentine's Day, but Chef PeePee shushed him on the spot, then pointed to the dining room. Junior looked into the indicated direction and saw Marvin and Rose.

“Here’s your gift, I hope you like it!” Marvin said, taking a step to the side, revealing Rose’s gift behind him. Her eyes looked as if they almost popped right out of her head as she squealed in delight.

“OH MY GOSH!!! STARS! STAR EVERYTHING!” She exclaimed in a high-pitched happy voice. She went towards the gift and admired it, moving some things around to investigate them more. She then turned to Marvin. “Thank you baby! I love it so much!!! This is the best gift ever!!!!”

“You’re welcome baby!” Marvin said, a huge grin spreading across his face as his wife hugged him tightly. He then turned to Chef PeePee, giving him a thumbs up. Chef PeePee gave a smile back. Chef PeePee then turned to Junior.

“What were you gonna say?” He asked the ginger.

“Well, I was gonna say it’s Valentine's Day, but I guess you already know.” Junior said. “Can you drive me to school today? I don’t want Penelope’s gifts to get messed up on the bus.”

The Chef sighed. “Aren’t you 16? Why can’t you drive yourself around yet?” He said. “Fine, I’ll go start the car. Go get her things, and don’t take forever.”

Junior ran up the stairs and grabbed Penelope’s gifts, his school bag, and his phone before running back down the stairs and outside to the car. He hopped inside, and Chef PeePee started driving. Junior was practically bouncing off of the car's walls on the way there. “Gosh I'm so excited!! I've never actually been excited for school before!” He cheered. “Who's gonna be your valentine, Chef PeePee?”

“Probably no one. I don't have anyone to spend it with besides myself.” Chef PeePee replied.

“Surely there's someone single out there just for you.” Junior said.

“Well, even if there was, I wouldn't have time to look. Your dad and Guatalupe want me to make them dinner tonight so that's going to be fun.” The chef said sarcastically.

“Oh… I forgot about Guatalupe.” Junior said.

“I didn't. I hear her and Braxton every time I walk past his door.” Chef PeePee deadpanned as he pulled up to Junior’s School. “Have a good day, Junior.”

“I will. See ya, Chef PeePee!” Junior responded, waving to the chef before taking Penelope’s gifts and running to the school’s door. Chef PeePee then drove off.

Junior ran inside the building and went straight to the classroom, since his friends would arrive at school later since they were on the bus. The classroom was practically empty, the only people there being Patrick and Bully since their parents worked at the school. They were conversing with each other, some of which Junior eavesdropped on.

“Thanks for the candy, Patrick. I didn’t think I'd get anything for valentines day besides a note from my mom.” Bully said.

“No problem, Bully! Thank you for the candy bar. My mom doesn’t give me a lot of candy because it makes me cwazy!” Patrick replied, giggling maniacally after the last sentence.

“I can tell…” Bully mumbled, opening one of the lollipops Patrick gave him and starting to gnaw at it.

Junior felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out of his pocket and checked the message, which was from Cody.

~Coderz~
Where are you? You aren’t skipping because you didn’t get Penelope a gift, are you?

~Junebug~
Nah dw. Im at the school early becuz i didnt want perelonepes gift to get messed up

~Coderz~
Alr good. Also Jesus Christ Junior I’ve shown you how to spell Penelope’s name 100 times. How are you messing it up that badly?

~Junebug~
You know i cant spell cody

He closed out the message and checked the time. 7:44, it read. Class started at 8:10, and the bus normally got to school around 8. ‘These 15 or so minutes better go fast.’ Junior thought, laying his head on his desk.

Thanks to the power of technology, aka Brawl Stars and Clash Of Clans, Junior was able to pass the time fairly quickly. Though he quickly started to grow even more impatient while waiting and watching the clock like a sports referee. He bounced his knee under his desk and continued having a staring contest with the clock.

“I’m so excited to see what Junior got me!” Penelope squealed. The bus was just turning on the road that went straight to the school. She was sitting in the back with Cody, Joseph, PJ (Who had his earbuds in), Samantha, Vivian, and Maria (last 2 are PJ’s girls.)

“Me too. He never told us what he got you, so we’re all in for a surprise.” Cody agreed.

“I bet it’s gonna be so romantic! I wish I had a boyfriend to spend this day with.” Samantha gushed.

“You gotta find one, I know you can.” Penelope reassured her.

“Yeah, me and Maria got PJ, so you’re sure to find someone!” Vivian added.

The girls (and Cody) all continued talking about Valentine's Day while Joseph tried to drown them out by playing Block Blast. He forgot his earbuds, and was definitely regretting it. “God damn it’s like an ocean back here. Why did Junior have to get driven?” He mumbled to himself.

Luckily for him, the bus was just pulling into the school. “ALRIGHT, YA BRATS ARE AT THE SCHOOL! WALK SINGLE FILE OFF THE BUS, AND DON’T TALK. I THINK I HAVE AN EAR INFECTIONS OR SOMETHINS!” The bus driver shouted.

Penelope practically flew out of her seat and to the front of the bus. She got off after all the nerds in the front and ran to the school doors, Joseph and Cody following closely behind. She ran through the halls, a few passing teachers scolding her for sprinting at full speed in a school building. She ignored them and kept running until she got to Jackie Chu’s classroom. Inside she saw a few students sitting around and waiting for class to start. Her eyes locked onto Junior, who was staring at the clock for a second before looking at her. His eyes widened and he smiled widely. “Penelope! Happy Valentine’s Day!” He stood up and walked towards her.

“Happy Valentine’s day Junior!” Penelope replied, giving the ginger boy a peck on the lips. “I have your gift in my bag, let me get it.” She took her bag straps off and tried to open her bag, but Junior stopped her.

“I wanna give you yours first. It’s behind my desk. Come here.” Junior said. He walked to his desk and Penelope followed. Joseph and Cody finally made it to the room as well, Cody severely out of breath. They stood by the wall and spectated the couple. Junior waited until Penelope was right in front of him, before pulling out her basket and sign. “Happy Valentine’s Day, again.”

Penelope gasped loudly and her eyes nearly popped out of her head. Her smile went from ear to ear, almost literally. “OHMYGOSH!” She exclaimed. “I LOVE IT! THE SIGN, THE BASKET, THE… EVERYTHING!!!” She went up to the sign and studied it. She then looked through the basket, ooh-ing and ahh-ing at everything in it. “I love it so much! Thank you so so much Junior!”

“You’re welcome! Sorry if it wasn’t as much as you expected. I had less time than I hoped.” Junior replied.

“More or less time, it still turned out perfect.” Penelope beamed. “Let me get yours! You’re gonna love it!” She unzipped her bag and dug into it before pulling out Junior’s gift. Junior’s jaw dropped at the sight. The bucket was decorated with dinosaurs, covered head to toe in them. Inside was lots of chocolate candy, and some cool Jurassic park stuff, most notably a T-Rex plushie right in the center of the basket.

“DINOSAURS!!!” Junior exclaimed. He grabbed the basket and picked it up to inspect it further. There were also some adorable little Dino Keychain, some stickers, and a matching pen and pencil both with a pterodactyl topper. It was amazing, he'd never been so hyped up over a gift before, except maybe over a Christmas gift. “I LOVE IT!!!” His pupils seemed to dilate from his excitement, which made Penelope laugh.

“I knew you liked dinosaurs, so kinda just went all out on that.” Penelope said.

“Thank you so much!!!” Junior beamed, hugging Penelope tightly.

“You're very welcome, Junior.” Penelope said back.

Junior continued oogling at his gift until Jackie Chu came into the class. “Alright class, today will be a chill day since it's both Friday and Valentine’s Day. Ling Ling made cookies too, so you all can have one of those. They're really good, trust me.” Jackie Chu announced with his thick accent. The class cheered, and ran up to the front to get one of the mentioned cookies.

The rest of the day was chill as Jackie Chu said. He left class to chat with his wife like a responsible teacher while the class chatted amongst themselves. They then went home and Penelope and Junior spent the rest of their day together eating dinner and watching movies. Overall, a good Valentine's Day.

Chapter Text

It was the fall season of 1988. As the season was nearing its end, one final grand autumn ball was to be hosted. Many royals from all around France had come to dance and find a possible husband or wife. One of those was King Strongbottom, whose previous wife had died from sickness and had left him with two daughters. Due to his older age, not many women approached him.

Towards the end of the ball, he got into a conversation with a woman named Alessia Thomas. She was a poor italian-African American woman who was disguised as a princess to swipe some food from the ball. She wasn't married, and she never mentioned any family. The two conversed more and eventually snuck off to do… the deed. Afterwards, the king told the woman to never tell anyone they even met, and even gave her a small bribe, which he was surprised she took graciously. They then left the ball like nothing happened.

The king went on with his life, as did Alessia. The king hadn't even seen her since the day, though that was normal since he never really left his castle.

One day in the February after, one of King Strongbottom's advisors notified him that Alessia came to talk in private. He declined at first, but decided to hear her out when the advisor told him that she said it was an urgent matter. When the king saw her, she seemed timid and guilty, unlike the outgoing flirt he'd met at the party.

“I came here to notify you that you Have gotten me pregnant. I went to the doctor's office and they told me so. It's been growing inside me for around 4 months.” She admitted to him. He was shocked, and angry at the same time. He denied It, but Alessia informed him that he was the only person that she had relations with, and the dates lined up. He told her that he had planned to ask another princess to marry him, but would reluctantly marry her so his reputation wouldn't be stained.

Her heart dropped. She had yet to inform him that she was not a princess or any form of royalty, and was only a poor, nearly homeless woman. He asked which kingdom she was from and she admitted her second secret. Thus made the king even more furious. Not only had he gotten a woman that he was not married to pregnant, she wasn't even od any status. To him, she was a street rat that he had accidentally taken home. And now he had to keep this street rat, or else his reputation would lower heavily.

His closest advisors told him he had to marry the woman soon, so in the following month, he planned a small wedding with a few close royals and reluctantly married her. The guests noticed his scowl as he mumbled the words “I do.”

He mostly kept her hidden from the public, making her stay at the castle when he went out. She didn't have too big of a problem with this, since she loved the castle and hardly having to lift a finger to get what she wanted. It was much different than her previous life, though she soon got bored.

On July 27th, 1989, Alessia gave birth to the baby, who was a boy. She named him Fernando. The news of Fernando Strongbottom being born was shocking to the public, since most didn't know Alessia was pregnant. Most didn't pay much attention to the new child either, since he wasn't going to be the heir to the throne; that title would be given to his older sister, Stacy.

Despite many of the servants caring for Fernando already, Alessia still helped out. She loved her son, accident or not. Caring for him kept her occupied as well, which was nice since she was still being kept in the castle.

King Strongbottom was the opposite of Alessia. He hated Fernando for what he had caused. He already Had two beautiful daughters who reminded him of their late mother. Two heirs to the throne. Sure, they were both women, but the king didn't care. He had only held his son 2 or 3 times, and those were for photographs.

Throughout the years, King Strongbottom became more and more hateful towards Alessia and Fernando. Memories of the king yelling and verbally abusing Alessia haunted Fernando years after. When the young prince was 3, his mother and father took him to a fair. While on the ferris wheel, the two hate-filled lovers got into a heated quarrel. As the ride went around and around, the arguing became more intense. The king had enough of Alessia, and decided to end everything.

He grabbed her by the hair and pulled her face towards his. “IF YOU DON'T SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH I WILL THROW YOU FROM THIS WHEEL AND YOUR GOOD-FOR-NOTHING-SON WILL JOIN YOU!” He threatened violently. Alessia, terrified by her husband, did as he said and stopped talking. Fernando was even more scared. The boy was only a toddler, but he knew what his father said was bad. He crawled into his mother's lap and held her tight for the rest of the ride. As the ‘family' left the fair, Alessia held her son tightly and comforted him.

“It's okay, Fernie. It'll all be okay.” She cooed into his ear as she carried him. “I'll keep you safe no matter what.”

Alessia kept her distance from the king as much as she could. She didn't even sleep in the same bed as him, instead opting to sleep in her son's room. This led to the two spending even more time together. The boy gained an interest in watching the chef's cook, so Alessia would sneak him into the kitchen and teach him how. He would help her find ingredients, stirring or mixing, and his favorite part, taste testing. Some people in the castle took notice, but didn't mind. As long as they didn't have to clean it they were fine with whatever the mother and son did. Even Fernando's half sisters saw, but they didn't tell their father. They did tease Fernando about his hobby many times though, calling him a male housewife or a little girl. He never minded though, he continued his endeavors like nobody even knew.

When Fernando was 8 years old, the family had gathered for a game of Monopoly. The king reluctantly invited Alessia and their son because they needed more players and the servants weren't fun to play with. The game got off to a rocky start. Fernando struggled to grasp the rules due to being so young and new to mathematics. His mother helped him out a lot, which angered the king. The further into playing they got, the more heated the arguing became. The two sisters decided to sneak off so they wouldn't witness any further arguing, but Fernando stayed just in case his mother was hurt. He cowered at the far end of the table as the adults continued to scream and yell.

Once the king had had enough of Alessia, he stormed over to her and slapped her hard across the face. He was quite strong despite his age. He then grabbed her and tried to slam her on the floor, but she stood her ground and resisted. Fernando knew he had to help somehow, or else his mother would get seriously hurt. He ran towards to king and headbutted him in the stomach. The king stumbled backwards from the unexpected attack, which gave Alessia a chance to regain her footing. The king glared at Fernando, who was glaring back. The king grabbed the boy’s arm and threw him to the ground as he previously tried to do.

“YOU UNGRATEFUL BOY! I AM YOUR FATHER!” The king shouted.

“And my maman is your wife!” The boy retorted, sitting up with a groan.

The older man took a few breaths. “Not anymore. Get out of MY KINGDOM before I send my guards to KILL BOTH OF YOU! You mustn’t take anything I bought with you!” He ordered. “NOW!!!”

Alessia trudged out of the room, and Fernando followed. While packing their few items, Fernando apologized for getting them both banished. Alessia told him that he shouldn’t apologize, and that he had done a very brave thing. They both left the castle with a smile, and a mind full of hope.

Alessia’s father was American, which made her an American citizen as well. She moved to the United States with Fernando since she’d heard that they’d be free. Free from any rulers that’d remind them from the years of abuse they’d endured back in France.

The woman had been very poor before, and living in Florida didn’t change much. Her lack of English knowledge hindered her ability to get a job and buy a house. She did manage to get a table cleaning job at a small restaurant, and a tiny apartment for her and Fernando. The job didn’t pay much, but it was enough to cover rent. Food was also hard to come by. Alessia had started going to any event she could find just so she and her child could eat something. Church, free dinners, the local school’s public events, and anything else she could find.

Taking care of Fernando, who didn’t even go to school during the day, and doing her job were very difficult to balance. Every day she’d come home exhausted and everytime she slept, she never felt rejuvenated. Poor Fernando barely received any attention from her. He seemed so lonely and bored, just as Alessia had at the castle.

She knew he couldn’t live like this; without a proper parent, or an education, and becoming more and more malnourished. It hurt her badly to see him starving and alone, sleeping off the hunger. One day, she decided to take him on a walk. She told him that she wanted to spend some time with him. They walked the sidewalk and took in the scenery. Fernando pointed out the passing butterflies and cool looking cars and adorable cats and dogs. The happiness and hope from Fernando broke Alessia’s heart, considering what she was about to do.

They stopped at a grand building. It looked to have 3 floors, and over 10 rooms on each of them. There were some steps leading up to the giant front door. Above the door, there was a sign. Though, Fernando couldn’t read it properly since it was in English, and he only knew Italian and French. Alessica handed him a note, which was also written in English, and told him to enter the building. He asked her what the note said.

“It’s a note for a friend. You are going to stay with her for a little bit.” She told him.

“When will you be back?” Fernando asked timidly.

Alessia’s expression shifted into one the young boy couldn’t read. “Just go inside. She needs to see the note.”

Fernando nodded, gave his mother a quick hug, and went up the giant staircase. Before he opened the door, he looked back at his mother, who was already walking away. She gave him a wave, before walking even faster. He waved back, then knocked on the door in front of him. After a few moments, a woman who looked as if she was in her 40s or 50s answered.

“What do you need, young man? Here to see one of the children?” She asked, though Fernando didn’t understand her.

“Mia madre mi ha detto di darti questo.” He responded in Italian, handing the woman the note. She looked confused for a moment, before taking the note and reading it. She looked back up, more concerned than she had been. She opened the door wider and gestured for the boy to go inside. He did as the woman said and went inside. The woman pointed to a chair in what seemed like a waiting room, and he sat down.

The woman left, then came back a moment later with another woman who looked younger than her. The younger woman approached the young boy. “How old are you, Fernando?” She asked him. He raised a brow, having no idea what she was saying but recognizing his name at the end of the sentence.

“Sì, sono Fernando.” Fernando responded.

The women then took him to a room with lots of beds, and a few kids lying on some of them. They gestured to a bed in the corner and signed to him that it was his. As he sat on it and felt the covers, the ladies started conversing with each other.

“Where are his parents? We can’t understand anything he’s saying, and we were only left a note that said ‘I poor. Please take good care son.’” The younger woman asked.

“I didn’t see anyone when he showed up. I didn’t think to look at first. What are we going to do? What language is he even speaking?” The older woman responded.

“I think it’s Italian? I’m not completely sure. How about we enroll him into school, help him learn some English, and go from there.” The young woman said.

“I think that’s all we can do. He looks around 13, and is probably that small since he’s malnourished. We can put him in high school and see what happens. He should pick up on a few phrases within a few weeks.” The older woman agreed.

At dinnertime, Fernando was surrounded by a bunch of other children in which he also couldn’t understand. He got his plate and sat alone in a corner and ate his food. He tasted the first bite and raised a brow. ‘Needs more seasoning… like salt or even lemon juice.’ He thought. He wanted to tell the cooks that, but the language barrier prevented him from doing so. He spent the rest of the night alone, staring at the ceiling, wondering when his mother would come and get him from this strange place. He didn’t even know what an orphanage was, let alone what it was in his language.

The next day, he was brought to school and taken to a small room. Inside was a lady who sat in front of him at a desk. There were lots of posters around with different languages on them, along with the flag of the country they were mainly from. He recognized the French flag, and read the phrases in his head. They were just simple greetings, but it was the first thing in a while that felt familiar. The lady noticed him looking at the poster.

“Do you speak French as well?” She asked in French so that the boy could understand her. Fernando was startled by the fact he actually knew what someone was saying. He replied with a yes. She then told him that she knew many languages and was in charge of teaching children how to speak English. They spent a while learning a few common phrases in English. Fernando learned how to say ‘Hello, bye, yes, no, please, and thank you.’ As he spent another day in the orphanage, he noticed the phrases he learned being used by the children and staff around him. It amazed him.

Over time, he learned more and more English and was finally able to tell the staff who he was and how old he was. He told them he was 8, which surprised them greatly. Since he was already a few months into high school, and was somehow passing, they let him stay.

When he turned 9, he found out a local community center was offering cooking classes to the youth in the area. He begged the staff for days on end to let him take the classes. After about a week, they got tired of his pleading, so they let him as long as he still did good in his normal studies.

Many kids at the orphanage weren’t so nice. They had started calling him bottom bunk out of nowhere and would exclude him. At school it wasn’t very different. Fernando was definitely not popular, pretty much the polar opposite. He appeared as a loner, but deep down wanted a friend badly. He never had any realy friends besides his mother. The children who would hang out with him at school during his castle days would only do so since he was royalty. They always bored him with their endless questions, so he kept his distance. Now that his royal status had been revoked, no one cared for him anymore.

One day, a group of boys pantsed him in the middle of the cafeteria, which led many people to start calling him ‘PeePee.’ The nickname stuck, and soon everyone knew him as PeePee. It was an unpleasant nickname, but at least some people talked to him now. He gained a few friends at the end of high school and even dated a girl named Chica, who he thought had a cute butt.

He continued his studies in culinary school after finishing high school. The orphanage funded his education as long as he helped cook meals for the children of the orphanage. Cooking was his passion, and was one of the last things he had to remind him of his mother. He was excelling at it as well.

When he was 15, a man who looked like a pirate came to the orphanage and adopted him. He told Fernando that he was his real father, and that he was going to take care of him now. Luckily, the culinary school still let him study there. The new father was questionable at best. He didn’t have a proper job and just sold fish he caught in the ocean. He sometimes took Fernando along and allowed the boy to keep the money from any fish he caught, but everything he caught was always cheap. The man was always gone for the whole day and slept through the whole night, which made it so Fernando was alone 99% of the time. He threw himself into his schooling, and even practiced at home with small fish he would catch on the shore of the beach he now lived on. At one point, he had been persuaded into getting a genital piercing. It ended up getting infected, which brought back his nickname from high school. He embraced the name, and started going by PeePee, or more formally, Chef PeePee.

After 12 total years of studying, he graduated at age 21 and now had a degree in Culinary Arts. Sadly, this mean’t he couldn’t live on the campus (That’s what he had been doing since he turned 18 and moved out of his adoptive father’s house) and was now homeless. He didn’t have nearly enough money saved up for a place to stay, which mean’t he would have to live on the street.

The days he spent homeless were long and torturous. He hadn’t been alone and starving since he had lived with his mother. He felt depressed, but knew he had to find a job. He made himself a cardboard sign that said ‘WILL COOK 4 MONEY.’ He sat on the side of the road and waited for someone to see him and take his offer, hopefully being persuaded by his Chef’s uniform he had been given from the college which had “Chef PeePee” embroidered on it.

One day, when he had fallen asleep against a lamppost, he was shaken awake. He opened his eyes to see a tall, bulky man with stitches on his face along with an eye patch, a tank top, and green shorts. The man also had some tattoos. He intimidated Fernando, but he still heard him out.

The man, who introduced himself as Braxton but told the man to call him Bowser, told him that he would hire him as his personal chef. Chef PeePee asked how much he would be paid, and Bowser told him under the minimum wage. The chef was iffy about it, but then Bowser said he would allow the Chef to live with him and just sleep on the couch. All he had to do was cook, and help take care of the man’s son while he was taking care of certain business like kidnapping some lady. He took the deal quickly after hearing that. At this point, he would do anything for a place to live. The added chore of caring for a toddler didn’t faze him in the slightest.

“And that’s how I started working for your dad.” Chef PeePee said to Junior and his friends, now in the present day.

“Wow Chef PeePee, I didn’t know your backstory was that heavy.” Junior said in amazement.

“Did you ever find your mom again?” Cody asked.

“I did a few years after working for Braxton… along with my father.” Chef PeePee answered, mumbling the last part with a frown.

“Oh yeahhh, I remember that old guy came over one time with those two weird girls.” Junior said. “Anyways, that was a nice story, but I think you forgot a part.”

“What part?” Chef PeePee questioned.

“The part where you burnt the food.” Junior said smugly.

“God damnit, Junior.” Chef PeePee scowled.

“I think that’d be right now… I’m pretty sure I smell burning pizza, dude.” Joseph said. Chef PeePee’s eyes widened before he bounded down the stairs in a panic. The three boys laughed before conversing more about Chef PeePee’s crazy, and sad backstory.

Chapter Text

“HEY! QUIT BLASTIN WETTY FAP IN THAT SPEAKER! I'M OLD YA KNOW!” The bus driver shouted towards the back of the bus after slamming on the breaks.

“Sorry bus driver!” Joseph called. He adjusted his hat, which had gotten messed up when the brakes slammed. He turned down the speaker to a low volume and continued playing block blast on his phone.

Right next to his bus seat was Junior and Penelope’s seat. Junior was half-asleep on Penelope’s shoulder, and she was taking a bunch of pictures of them together. “I’m gonna print these out sometime, they’re sooo cute!”

“Yeah, Junior, they’re SOOOO cute.” Joseph said, nudging Junior while mocking his girlfriend.

“Well, they are.” Penelope retorted, crossing her arms. “Where’s Cody at? He should be right where Joseph is now.”

“He said his mom is driving him. I don’t know why, he didn’t say.” Junior responded. “At least he’ll get to see his boyfriend earlier.”

“Oh god, that guy. I get some bad vibes from him.” Penelope said. “He seems so… plastic and fake, like Regina George but in male form.”

“Yeah, and he keeps calling me Joey.” Joseph complained. “No one calls me Joey.”

“He calls me Jeffy Bezos.” Jeffy said, popping in from the seat behind Joseph. “Either that or helmet kid.”

“At least we only see him at lunch. I swear if he touches my horns again, I’m gonna punch him. Cody can cry all he wants.” Junior grumbled.

The teens continued their small talk as the bus wheels continued going round and round, until it got to the school. The angry bus driver ushered the kids off of the bus then sped off to god knows where.

The teens walked into their educational prison, and made their way to class. About halfway there, Junior stopped for a moment.

“Hey, I gotta use the bathroom real quick. I'll meet you guys in class.” He told the others.

“Alright, see you there dude.” Joseph replied, giving his buddy a wave and continuing to walk to class. Penelope did the same before following Joseph.

Junior weaved his way through the oncoming foot traffic until he found the bathroom. He stepped inside and did his business, and washed his hands. As he went to leave, he heard a noise coming from one of the stalls. He thought he was just hearing things for a moment, but it happened again. He recognized the noise. It was a sob, but not just any sob.

A nasally, pathetic, nerd sob.

“Cody?” Junior called. The noises came to a halt. Junior waited for an answer, but it was silent. “Cody??? Is that you?” He called again. This time, he heard a sniffle. One of the stall doors unlocked, and out the nerd came. His eyes were red, and you could see tears rolling down his cheeks. He had definitely been crying.

“Hey…” The nerd mumbled, embarrassed. Junior approached him carefully, confused and a little surprised.

“What's wrong?” Junior asked him. Cody sat against the wall and brought his knees to his chest.

“H-he… he said I was just his plaything… just entertainment.” Cody choked out. Junior sat next to him, and awkwardly put his arm around him.

“Who did? What do you mean?” Junior asked, even more confused.

“My boyfriend… I saw him making out with some girl in the hall when my m-mom dropped me off. I confronted him and he said that he was just using me for entertainment and to shit-talk me to his stupid friends! He called me ugly and pathetic, a-and…” He rambled on, before breaking down into a sob. He cried into Junior's chest. Junior wasn't super great at comforting, so he just did what he saw other people do. He rubbed Cody's back as he continued crying.

Junior processed what Cody had told him. He knew Cody's boyfriend, or now ex-boyfriend, was a jerk, but he didn't think he was this big of one. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. Only he could call Cody ugly, or a nerd. And even he never truly meant it in a harmful way. He had enough.

“You know what, Cody? No.” Junior said.

Cody looked up, confused. “W-what?”

“I'm not gonna let you sob and bawl and whine about that idiot! Why are you so torn-up over him? He was a huge jerk!” Junior rambled. “If he's going to say things like that to you, he's not worth it, and you shouldn't listen to him.”

“I know I shouldn't… but his words just keep circulating around my head over and over and over again.” Cody said. “People say I'm so smart, yet I was stupid enough to think anyone could love me like he said he did.”

If Junior's anger level was a 10/10 before, it tripled after his best friend finished his last sentence. “You're not stupid in any way. He manipulated you, it happens to the best of us. That's on him though, not you.” Junior lectured. Cody was silent, thinking over Junior's words. “You know what, I'm gonna do something about him. Me, Joseph, Jeffy, and maybe Penelope if she wants to. Come on.”

“Wait, hold on, what do you mean? What are you gonna do?” Cody questioned. Junior didn't answer and walked out, mostly for dramatic effect but also the fact that he didn't really know for sure. Cody sprang up and jogged after him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.

Junior made his way to his classroom and opened the door. All his friends were there, along with Patrick who was doing his own thing. Bully's seat was empty, so they didn't have to worry about him overhearing anything. Junior went to his seat and got the attention of his friends, who quickly became attentive due to Junior's serious expression.

“We gotta do something about Cody's now ex-boyfriend.” Junior said.

“I know… wait, ex?!” Penelope exclaimed. “What happened?”

As Junior started explaining, Cody walked into the class. “Cody caught that jerk making out with some chick In the hallway. Then he started calling Cody a bunch of names and told him he was just using him for entertainment!”

“Really?! Oh my gosh, Cody I'm so sorry!” Penelope told Cody apologetically as he passed her and sat at his desk. “I knew he was trouble, I should’ve trusted my instincts.”

“For one I agree with pineapple. Only me and Junior can bully and make fun of Cody!” Joseph said, while poking a jab at Penelope, which she decided to ignore for now.

“Yeah that kid’s a f—head. I wish I could beat his butt like I do Bully’s.” Jeffy agreed, gesturing at Bully’s empty seat.

“Why don’t we?!” Junior said, springing out of his seat. “Jackie Chu isn’t even here yet. We have plenty of time. And even if he did come it’s not like he’ll see us gone.”

“Yeah! Let’s beat his ass! That’s what I’m talking about!” Jeffy agreed.

“I’m totally in dude!” Joseph cheered.

“But guys! You’ll get in a lot of trouble, especially if you swing first!” Cody protested.

“Yeah, Junior, I don’t know about fighting him…” Penelope agreed.

“I’ll be fine. I’m a good fighter. The only thing I’ve ever gotten from my dad is his toughness.” Junior said.

“Yeah, and I don’t have parents that’ll care.” Joseph said. “And Jeffy gets in trouble all the time.”

“Let’s go now before Jackie gets here!” Junior exclaimed, running out of the room, followed by Jeffy and Joseph.

“Guys! Wait! Don’t!” Cody called, getting up and running after them. Penelope followed him to make sure Junior would be okay.

Cody’s ex always hung out by the cafeteria since he didn’t have a first period class. He and his buddies would sneer and joke at the passing students; Junior had even seen them push a kid against a locker once. It gave him a chance to get by without being noticed, but he still felt bad.

He turned a corner and there he saw him. Junior stopped and waited for his two other friends to catch up. Once they did, he started instigating.

“HEY! ASSHATS!” Junior shouted, instantly getting their attention. They swiftly turned to the direction of the noise and saw Junior’s small gang.

“Yooo, wassup cheeto?” Cody’s ex greeted in a casual tone, completely ignoring how angry Junior both looked and sounded.

“Don’t act so chill. You know what you did and said to Cody.” Junior told him, walking closer.

“Eh, I don’t care. I meant everything I said.” He said calmly.

“How are you so calm about this? You really fucked him up with your words. Junior found him crying in the bathroom earlier!” Joseph testified.

“It’s his fault for thinking I actually cared about him. Sure, he was fun to mess with, but I got bored with him. I may be bi, but not that bi.”

“You definitely are bi, with 3 extra letters at the end.” Jeffy remarked.

“Womp womp, he’ll be fine. He’s just some dumb ugly nerd anyways.” The jerk snarked. Cody was there to hear that line; his heart panged with sadness. Penelope gave him a tight hug to comfort him while Junior spoke.

“So you really don’t care that you shattered his heart? For what, just to have a little fun?” Junior questioned.

“Nope.” Cody’s ex said, before he and his friends started laughing and cackling like witches. The more they laughed, the more p’ed off Junior got. It wasn’t long before Junior snapped, ran up to him, and punched him in the throat as hard as he could. The blow knocked the wind out of the guy, and he fell to the floor. Junior then jumped on his and- as Brooklyn Guy says- started throwing haymakers. The jerk tried to push Junior off, but he failed every time. Junior got more and more blood on his hands as he kept swinging.

The screams and yells of Cody’s ex started getting so bad his and Junior’s friends knew they had to intervene. Joseph ran to Junior and with the help of Penelope pulled him off of the guy. The guy’s friends picked him up off of the floor and pulled him back to get him away from Junior.

“You’re insane!” One of the guy’s friends exclaimed.

“That’s why you don’t mess with me or my friends!” Junior shouted back, trying to squirm out of his friend’s grasp.

“Calm down Junior! He’s been through enough!” Penelope exclaimed.

“HEY! WHAT IS ALL THIS RUCKUS?!” Everyone heard a voice shout. They all turned the way Junior and his friends came to see Principal Steinbeck charging towards them. He gasped dramatically when he saw Cody’s ex all beat up and bruised, drifting in and out of consciousness. “WHAT HAPPENED?!”

“That psycho with the horns attacked him!” One of the jerk’s friends testified, pointing at Junior.

“JUNIOR! COME TO MY OFFICE NOW!” Steinbeck shouted angrily.

“But he cheated on my friend!” Junior exclaimed.

“NOW!” Steinbeck emphasized. Junior scoffed and trudged to the principal’s office angrily. Steinbeck followed behind.

The jerk’s gang walked away from the scene, most likely taking their beat up friend to the nurse. Junior’s friends stayed where they were to collect their thoughts.

“I didn’t know Junior could fight that well. Maybe he and I should go rounds on Bully together sometime.” Jeffy said.

“I can’t believe he did that… for me…” Cody said.

“Well of course he would. He’s your best friend, ya dork.” Joseph told Cody, nudging his arm playfully.

The gang went back to class to avoid getting in trouble like Junior did. Jackie Chu thankfully wasn’t there yet, since he’s an amazing teacher. They finished school, and decided to meet up at Junior’s house to know what had happened afterwards.

Once the gang got let in Junior’s house, they went upstairs to find him sitting on an ice pack on the couch, sulking. “Hey Junior.” Penelope greeted.

“Why are you sitting on ice?” Jeffy asked.

“My dad got mad at me for getting into a fight and he beat my ass. I’m suspended for 7 days now. At least I won’t have to go to school.” Junior told him and the others.

“7 days?! Well, I guess you did get that jerk good, but that’s more than I thought.” Joseph said.

“You really didn’t need to do that Junior. I would’ve been fine, eventually.” Cody said.

“Yes I did. That bitch can’t just get off scot-free after what he did to you. You don’t deserve that, nobody does.” Junior told Cody.

“Thank you, Junior.” Cody said, smiling warmly. He and Junior fist-bumped.

“You want my burner phone? I’m guessing yours got taken since you’re suspended.” Joseph asked.

“Oh my god, please.” Junior said in a relieved voice. “I don’t think I can go a week without checking my clash of clans base, or not being able to use photomath on my homework.” The group laughed happily.

Chapter 13: Junior's addiction! (Aka the vape problem but different)

Summary:

Junior starts geeking it and then want to stawp it but can he?

Chapter Text

“Then you do the square-root thing in the calculator and you have your answer. Now, let's solve for b on this next problem.” Jackie Chu continued rambling on about the python theory or whatever while nobody was paying attention. Joseph and Cody were talking in the back of the classroom, trying to make time go faster.

“Anyways, I tossed the ball to Junior and he basically dunked that John! Then I got my shoes back.” Joseph said to the nerd.

“Y'know, Junior's been in the bathroom for a long time…” Cody mentioned.

“Maybe he fell in?” Joseph joked.

“I don't think that could happen…” Cody said. He saw Penelope sneaking her phone behind her leg, and tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up from her phone at Cody and whispered a snappy “What?!”

“Are you texting Junior? He's been in the bathroom for like 10 minutes.” Cody asked.

“Uhh, no… I don't know why he's been in the bathroom for so long.” Penelope said, making Cody a little suspicious with her tone.

“Let's just go check on him, dude.” Joseph said, raising his hand.

“Yes, Joseph?” Jackie Chu asked, stopping his lesson for a moment.

“Can me and Cody go to the bathroom?” The green-hatted boy asked.

“I guess, but you better hurry back. We have a big test in a few days.” He grumbled. He then looked at Penelope. “Hey! Pineapple! Put the phone away!”

Penelope tried to protest, but ultimately had to put her phone in her bag. Joseph and Cody walked out and went to the bathroom. Once they got to the bathroom door, they smelt something weird.

“Why does it smell like cotton candy?” Joseph whispered.

“I don't know…” Cody answered. He walked inside and nearly dropped his glasses. His loud gasp alerted Joseph, who peered in and also gasped in shock.

They both saw Junior leaning against the wall, sucking on a geek bar. Aka, vaping.

“Junior?! You're vaping?!” Cody exclaimed. Junior dropped the nic stick in shock and shushed Cody.

“Dude! Shush! Shut the fuck up!” He hushed in a scared but still angry voice. He waited for Cody to be silent before talking. “Penelope was supposed to warn me about anyone coming in here…”

“Dude, you were skipping class to geek out in the bathroom???” Joseph asked, almost laughing.

“Yea…” Junior answered.

“You know that's really bad for you, right?” Cody told the ginger. “Not to mention if you get caught with it you'll be suspended! Your dad would kill you if he knew you were vaping!”

“Actually… my dad is the one who bought it for me…” Junior admitted. “I told him that my anxiety was getting really bad so he went out and bought me one. I kinda got addicted to it, so now I bring it to school.”

“He didn't send you to therapy instead?” Joseph asked.

“No, he said that it's too expensive and that he'd rather get this because it's easier for him.” Junior told him. “Every time I need a hit, I have Penelope cover for me and I come here. Hell, she does it too. I give her mine when I'm almost done. She says it helps with her daddy issues or whatever.”

“Well, do you want to quit?” Cody questioned.

Junior stuttered for a moment before thinking. He really did want to. He'd been doing research, and he found out that it only made him feel worse. But the initial rush always kept him coming back for more each time. “I… I'll decide later. Let's just get back to class.”

He then walked out, eventually followed by his friends.

Once Junior got home, he got a snack and sat in the kitchen to eat it. While chewing his food, he thought about what Cody had said. ‘Would they really help me quit?’ He didn’t even know if he had it in him to quit. He then thought back to those anti-vaping ads that he’d see while on YouTube. The main advice they’d give is to just throw it away. ‘Just throw it away… I can do that… right?’

He took the device out of his bag and went to the kitchen’s trash can. He opened the lid, and hovered his vape over it, but didn’t drop it inside. He knew he’d keep craving it afterwards. When he wanted another hit, he wouldn’t be able to get one. He knew that would drive him crazy. He didn’t want to end up doing something he’d regret. Could he really throw it away?

“Junior? What the heck are you doing? If Marvin and Rose, or whoever else lives in this house, sees that they’re gonna get your dad in trouble!” Chef PeePee scolded, startling Junior.

“Yeah… I know, sorry Chef PeePee.” Junior said. He went to walk out of the room.

“Where are you going? Your friends are at the door, idiot. Did you not hear them knocking?” The chef questioned.

“Oh, uh, no.” Junior stuttered, before changing his trajectory and walking towards the front door. The chef scoffed before going back to work. Junior opened the door and saw, of course, his friends on the other side.

“Hey dude, wassup?” Joseph greeted.

“Hi Junior.” Cody greeted as well.

“Hey guys, let’s go upstairs.” Junior said, giving them a small smile before letting them inside and closing the door behind. They all went upstairs and sat on the red couch. Junior turned on the tv for background noise and started chatting with his friends.

“That lesson was so boring today. I didn’t listen at all, I’m definitely failing that test.” Joseph said.

“Test? What test?” Junior questioned, confused and surprised.

“Oh yeah, while you were in the bathroom, Jackie Chu told us we have a big test in a few days.” Cody informed the ginger.

“Well, crap.” Junior grumbled. The group was quiet for a moment. Junior thought about what had happened before he let his friends in, which led him to break the silence. “So… were you guys serious about helping me… quit?”

“Well, of course Junior.” Cody answered.

“Yeah dude, we’ll help you with anything you need.” Joseph added. “Did you decide you wanted to?”

Junior took a deep breath. “Yeah, I do. I really do.” Junior’s friends nodded in support.

~~~
The rest of the afternoon went fine. Cody threw away Junior’s device for him, which was nice for Junior. His friends then kept him distracted with video games and playing whatever outside. By dinnertime, Junior started to crave it more than he had been. Every second felt as if it were an hour, and Junior held his head in his hands to stop himself from crashing out.
“You okay, Junior?” Cody asked, putting down his bowl of burnt mac and cheese to focus on his friend.
“I’m good…” Junior mumbled back.
“You sure? You don’t look like it, dude.” Joseph chimed in.
“I said I’m fine.” Junior grumbled. The group was silent for a moment. Junior realized how angry he sounded, and he felt bad. “I mean… I don’t know. I just feel…”
“Like you’re having withdrawals?” Cody said, finishing Junior’s thought. “It’s normal to feel like that.”
“Yeah dude, when I used to be addicted to monsters, whenever I couldn’t get one I’d throw rocks at squirrels because I was mad.” Joseph told him.
“Huh… Well, I’ll try not to throw rocks at you guys.” Junior joked, smiling lightly. His friends laughed along, and finished their dinner.
Cody had to leave to go home since there was school the next day, but Joseph stayed at Junior’s house because he didn’t have parents that would stop him. Before leaving, Cody advised Junior to go to sleep sooner, so he wouldn’t be awake to do anything he’d regret.
Thankfully, Junior had been tired for a while, so falling asleep was easier. Joseph was cuddled up in a spare blanket next to him, since Chef PeePee was using the bottom bunk and not very keen on giving it up.
Junior’s dream started off fine. It was set in school, and the day had seemed to go like normal. Junior didn’t know what time it was, or when he’d even got there. He just felt like he was always there, listening to Jackie Chu ramble on and on about whatever.
There was then a pounding at the classroom’s door. Weirdly, nobody went to check it out, not even the teacher. The pounding continued, and Junior got so tired of it, that he got up from his seat and went to check it out. Mr Chu didn’t even say anything, nor did anyone look at him. It was like he was a ghost.
He opened the door, and there was nothing there. He turned to the hallway, and saw a shadow moving down it. He was scared to check it out, but he then smelt something… fruity? Like a cartoon, his body practically floated towards the scent. He went around the corner, and saw a large figure in a cloak, engulfed in smoke. He saw the thing smile, before pulling Junior towards him.
Junior tried to get away, but he couldn’t. It was like he couldn’t move anything but his head. He went face to face with the man, and he pinned him against the wall. He then pulled out a vape. That was where the fruity scent was coming from… Before Junior could squirm from his grasp, the hooded man shoved the device to his lips. The ginger boy tried to spit it away, but he couldn’t. The man then plugged the boy’s nose, so that the only way he could breathe was through his mouth.
Junior had no choice, he had to suck it in.
Once he did, the cloaked man’s control over him lifted. Junior fell to the ground, panting and coughing from the smoke exiting his mouth and nose. The man laughed maniacally, like a villain. As he tossed his head back, the cloak came off.
It was Junior’s father.
“Come on, son. It’ll help you! You saw how it just did! You don’t have to resist anymore. Nothing would happen if you just kept taking hits.” He told Junior, handing him the device. “One more won’t hurt, don’t you like the flavor? The feeling?!”
“I-I don’t want to! I’m trying to stop!” Junior protested, slapping the device away.
“Why? It helps! Your anxiety’s gonna be higher if you don’t. You’ve already felt it.” Braxton said, pulling the device towards him and offering it once again.
“No! I said I’d quit, a-and my friends are counting on me! They’re cheering me on, and I don’t want to let them down!” Junior exclaimed.
Braxton looked surprised, almost offended. He frowned angrily, and used his… smoke magic? To pin Junior against the wall once again. “Take it! YOU NEED IT!” He shoved it at Junior’s lips once again. Junior struggled with all his might to get away, but he couldn’t. He felt himself starting to cry out of anger and stress. Braxton then morphed into someone who looked exactly like Junior. It was Junior, moreso a clone but… you get it. “YOU. NEED. IT.”
“NO! STOP! I DON’T WANT IT! I DO, BUT I DON'T!” Junior shouted. “STOP!”
“JUNIOR!”
Junior sat up in a cold sweat. The room was mostly dark, but there was a flashlight somewhere lighting the people in front of him up. He saw his Chef and Joseph looking at him, Joseph concerned, and Chef PeePee very angry. He was awake, and it was all a dream.
“Why are you screaming?! It’s like 12 in the morning, and I’m supposed to be awake in 5 hours!” Chef PeePee exclaimed.
“I…” Junior said. He had no idea he was actually screaming. He processed everything, and even felt that he was actually crying too. “I was having a nightmare. I’m sorry, Chef PeePee.”
“What was it about?” Joseph asked curiously.
“My dad was forcing me to vape. Then my dad became… me?” Junior stuttered.
“Don’t you already vape?” Chef PeePee questioned.
“He’s trying to quit.” Joseph informed the chef.
“Wow. Well, nightmares are a symptom of withdrawing, along with loss of sleep… Just try not to scream, ok?” Chef PeePee said, surprised by Junior’s willingness to actually stop. He climbed down the bunk bed’s ladder and laid back down.
“You aren’t gonna give up, are you?” Joseph asked.
“No, I’ll try my hardest not to. My dream was just my head playing with me.” Junior told him. “I won’t give in.”
“Good stuff, dude. I’ll help you every step of the way, and I know Cody will too when his mom lets him.” Joseph said.
“Thanks, man. You’re awesome, I really mean it.” Junior beamed.
“No problem.” Joseph said. The two laid back down (Not in a gay way, well that’s what they thought but it did look kinda gay. Shhhh.)
Junior was still awake long after Joseph fell asleep. He either stared at the ceiling, or at his phone. He couldn’t fall back asleep, no matter how hard he tried. His head felt weird, and so did his stomach. ‘This must be another withdrawing symptom…’ He thought.
Once he was about to turn his phone off and try once again to go to sleep, he got a text from Penelope.
Peleroepni: heyyy Junior, you awake?
Junebug<3: yea, i cant sleep
Peleroepni: me neither. Btw you got a spare device? My dad has been stressing me out lately :p
Junior didn’t know what to respond with at first. Junior knew Penelope wouldn't be mad if he responded truthfully, right?
Junebug<3: I through mine out
Peleroepni: why???
Junebug<3: Im tryna kwit
Peleroepni: you get caught or smth? You could've gave it to me
Junebug<3: jo and co saw me, but im not in trouble. I just wanna kwit before I get adicted. and I didnt wanna risk taking another hit b4 I could bring it to you
Peleroepni: how am I going to get another one? None of my friends vape
Junebug<3: idk. sry.
Peleroepni: if your dad gets you another just give it to me next time OK? And also it's quit not kwit
Junebug<3: you know I cant spell
Junior finished typing and turned his phone screen off. He then laid down and tried to sleep for the fourth or fifth time, he lost count.
~~~~~~~

“Ugh… I'm so tired…” Junior groaned, pressing his head against the bus seat in front of him.

“I can't believe you didn't fall back asleep. I was out like a light.” Joseph said.

“My head kept feeling weird. It didn't hurt, but it was just distracting.” Junior told him.

“I'm sorry dude. Maybe you'll feel better today?” Joseph comforted.

“I can only hope…” Junior muttered. The bus stopped to let someone on, and started moving again before they even sat down. That kid was none other than Cody, who nearly fell into the isle on his way to the back.

“Hey Junior, hey Joseph.” Cody said, regaining his balance and sitting in his seat.

“Tired.” Junior said.

“He had a nightmare and didn't sleep the rest of the night.” Joseph clarified.

“Ah, well those are more symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. The first 5 days without smoking or vaping are always the hardest.” Cody said. Junior groaned dramatically and slammed his head against his bus seat. The kid in front of him, who was revealed to be Bully, turned around angrily.

“Hey nerd, quit hitting my seat before I hit you.” He threatened. Junior slowly looked up at him and glared.

“Oh shut the fuck up, I wasn't doing it that hard. I get you want attention because of your mommy and daddy issues, but I aint giving a shit so take your traffic cone head-ass somewhere else before I pull that dumbas piercing out of your nose.” Junior ranted, before laying his head back on the seat. Bully gasped before scoffing to himself and sitting back down.

“Ooooh shit.” Joseph said in amazement. The bus then stopped to let someone on, going before they even sat down just like what happened to Cody. This time, that person was Penelope.

“Hey Junior!” She beamed, waiting for him to scoot over so she could sit next to him. He scooted over and she plopped down.

“Hey Penelope.” Junior responded.

“What's wrong? Did you not sleep well?” Penelope asked.

“He had a nightmare and couldn't sleep.” Joseph said.

“I can tell her myself, Joseph.” Junior grumbled. Joseph mumbled an awkward apology and exited the conversation.

“I'm sorry that happened.” Penelope said, patting Junior's shoulder.

“It's fine, it's not your fault.” Junior told her. The rest of the ride was quiet, the only noise being the other kids talking amongst themselves. Junior had an earbud in, which he had gotten from Penelope. Surprisingly, their music taste wasn't too different. Sure, Penelope listened to a lot of white girl party music, but Junior thought at least a few of the songs were good.

The day at school was okay, but it was torturously slow for Junior. He slept through the first subject of the day, then was rudely awakened by a piece of chalk hitting him on the head. His head started to hurt too, but eating helped a little bit, and he also got some pain meds from Cody.

“When are these 5 days going to be over?” Junior grumbled to himself, sitting on the red couch after school had gotten over. He laid his head back and stared at the ceiling for god knows how long before his trance was interrupted by his father.

He trudged over to his dad's room and instantly got hit with a smell of BO once he opened the door. His dad hardly ever showered since Charleyyy was always on. The smell instantly made him feel nauseous.

“Hey son, got you a refill on your nerdbar or whatever they're called.” He said, holding it up.

“Oh… well, I… I don't need it right now.” Junior replied.

“Sure you do. Your anxiety is still there, ain't it? Besides, I'm not gonna use it. I smoke cigarettes like a real man.” Braxton said, tossing the device to his son.

“Fine…” Junior said, leaving the room to avoid throwing up. Junior sat back on the couch and glanced at the device. He wanted to get rid of it before he relapsed, but he didn't know how. If his dad found out he threw it away, he'd flip his shit.

He felt another pulse of nausea and clutched his stomach. He felt like crap, like one of Shreks giant stink bombs Junior would smell when he passed the ogres bathroom. He looked at the vape once again. He craved it so bad. He wanted a hit… he wanted it… He needed it.

But did he?

Yes?

No!

Yes!

No?

Yes.

He put the device up to his face. He needed to resist, but he couldnt anymore. There was nothing stopping him.

Well, until there was.

“Junior!” A voice said. They slapped the geeker out of Junior's hand, snapping Junior out of his thoughts.

“Cody!” Junior exclaimed. “I'm sorry! I-I… My dad gave it to me, and it was like… talking to me! I didn't take a hit I swear! I just feel so… so sick! I don't want to do this… why did I even do it in the first place?! God, I'm so stupid!” Junior started trembling as tears started going down his face.

“No, you aren't Junior. This is normal to be going through. Depression, feeling sick, feeling doubtful. You're doing great so far. You just have to keep going.” Cody told Junior, sitting next to him and looking him in the eyes to show his seriousness.

“I-I don't know if I can!” Junior cried, clutching his stomach again due to another pang of sickness hitting him.

“I know you can. You have to keep going, no matter how much you think you need it.” Cody said. He grabbed the vape from the other side of the couch and put it in his pocket. “Penelope is on her way. Do you want me to give this to her?”

“Yeah…” Junior said. Just then, the doorbell rang. Cody went to answer it for Junior while he calmed himself down.

Laying on his back helped him feel a little bit better, but he still felt like shit. He knew he would have to ask Chef PeePee for some medicine, but he really didn't feel like getting up right now.

After a few minutes Cody came upstairs with Penelope, and a washcloth which he gave to Junior to put on his forehead. Junior was very thankful, but really did not feel like talking.

“Hey Junior… Cody told me what happened.” Penelope said, sitting by Junior's head. Junior stayed quiet, both not knowing what to say and focusing on the coldness on his head.

“Don't worry Junior, this should only last 3 or 4 more days. Then your body should start to detox easier.” Cody told him.

“4 days is too long.” Junior groaned.

~~~~~~~
That night Junior managed to get around 5 hours of sleep, but only after Chef PeePee got tired of him tossing and turning and made a late night run to the general store.
The school day was as slow and painful as the last. Luckily, Jackie Chu just played some audiobook for the class to listen to while he talked to his wife, so Junior could just lay his head on his desk. Around lunch time he had no appetite, but Cody told him he had to eat something or else he'd feel even worse, so he just ate half of a ham sandwich and a few apple slices. It was better than nothing.
His dad asked him if he'd been using the vape once he got home, and Junior lied and said he left it in his locker at school. That thankfully got his dad off his back so Junior could chill. He then got a text from Joseph and Cody asking to play fortnite, so he did that the rest of the day, until he managed to pass out.
“I can't Believe I fell asleep on the couch. I bet that Marvin guy was pissed.” Junior said.
“Yeah, my daddy was pretty mad. He had to share the downstairs couch with his dinosaur friend.” Jeffy said. “He was pretty cool though. He taught me how to cuss people out on the game.”
Junior was starting to feel a little bit better. His nausea went away mostly, though it came back for short intervals. The day was still slow, but he was used to it.
Junior went to the bathroom to definitely not play a round of Brawl Stars. After he lost the round, he came out to go back to class so Jackie Chu wouldn't yell at him. Though, when he did, he smelt a familiar smell.
Cotton candy.
He looked to the far end of the bathroom and saw PJ vaping with a weird looking device that looked like a mini phone. He looked up at Junior surprised.
“Oh shit, hey Junior. You wanna hit?” Pj offered.
“No thanks, I'm trying to quit.” Junior declined.
“Ah, well suit yourself man. I just need this thing to get me through that torture you call class.” Pj said. Junior waved, then exited the bathroom.
‘Wow…saying no was that easy?’ He thought.
~~~~~
14 days later…

~~~~~
“It feels so weird not wanting to vape. We'll, not as badly as earlier.” Junior said, while walking to the bus to go home with his friends.
“Yeah, it's nice seeing you happier than earlier. I'm glad you're doing better off without that thing.” Cody said.
“Yeah dude. You aren't feeling sick or anything still, right?” Joseph asked.
“Not really. I've been able to sleep better too.” Junior told him. The three got on the bus and waited for Penelope, who was talking to her friends or something.
Once she got to the back of the bus, she sat next to Junior like always. She tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at her phone, which was signaling Junior to check his phone.
Peleroepni: can you help me quit vaping too? It just been making me feel more angry especially when I don't have a device and I'm sick of it.
Junior smiled at her before replying.
Junebug<3: of course, we'll get threw this together
Peleroepni: thank you so much
And it's through, not threw for this context
Junebug<3: I have a d in engrish what do you expect from me
I know I've been kinda starving the Marvin/rose fans, but I don't have many ideas for them
If you have any, feel free to give me some :D
Chapter 14: Rosevin: Homesick
Summary:
Uh oh where rosey go???
Chapter Text
@aideniexx on wattpad is the one who suggested the idea for this, so thank you!!!
-------------------------
Marvin woke up in the middle of the night from feeling too hot. He was confused, and thought Jeffy lit the house on fire or something until he realized that all the covers were on him. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. “Rose… aren’t you cold?” he mumbled to his wife. There was no response. He looked over to his wife’s spot in their bed, and saw that she was missing. He looked at the clock on his bedside table and saw that it was almost 1 am. “She’s not making breakfast… so where is she?”
Marvin stepped out of bed and tiptoed into the hallway of the house. It was dark, and everyone in the house was sleeping except for Braxton, who was up watching Charleyyy, and Duggie who was playing Call Of Duty. He checked the bathroom, but it was empty. She wasn’t anywhere downstairs either.
“Marvin, what the hell are you doing up? Its like 4 in the morning.” Marvin heard a voice say while standing next to the staircase. He looked into the downstairs living room and saw Chef PeePee sitting up and looking at him.
“Well, it’s only 1, and I’m looking for my wife. Have you seen her?” Marvin asked.
“No, I’ve been sleepig like a normal person. I guess I might’ve heard the back door open, but that might’ve also been a dream.” Chef PeePee told him.
“Oh, okay. Thanks Chef PeePee.” Marvin said, turning to check out the back door of the house.
“Whatever. Just be quieter. I have to get up at 5 in the morning.” Chef PeePee grumbled, before laying back down on the couch.
Marvin noticed that the backdoor was unlocked, and knew that must be where Rose was. ‘But why?’ He thought. He opened the door quietly and stepped outside. There was a cool breeze outside, and the moon was full, illuminating most of what the streetlights couldn’t. He walked further into the backyard, until he saw a figure sitting in the grass, just a few feet shy of sitting in the pond behind the house.
“Rose? What are you doing out here? It’s really late.” Marvin questioned.
“I’m just stargazing.” Rose said. She didn’t turn to face Marvin until he had walked up to her. He could see some of her alien-form’s features comig through. Her long beady eyes, and her green antennas poking from her forehead.
“Are you okay, baby?” Marvin asked. Rose always kept her alien form hidden at all times, unless in private, in order to not be sent away from Earth due to being considered as a threat. Her eyes and antennas showing wasn’t something she normally had going on, which concerned Marvin.
“I’ve just been really homesick lately, and this is the only time where pretty much everyone is asleep.” Rose said, looking up at the sky. “I miss being up there. Earth gives me a lot of new opportunities, and a place to be safe, but I still miss home and my parents.”
“They haven’t came by in a while, huh?” Marvin asked her.
“No… I’m worried. I don’t know if they were killed in space, or even possibly on Earth. Or maybe they just abandoned me because they didn’t want their daughter to follow her dreams to be a stupid human…” Rose sulked, tears forming in her eyes.
Marvin wiped her tears away, and turned her head to face him. “Hey, your dreams aren’t stupid. Space is more dangerous than here anyways. I know they’d understand you wanting to be safe, even if they think differently than us… I think…”
Rose giggled. “You still have a lot to learn about my culture… but, you are right. I know deep down they’re glad I’m safe. I just wish they’d come visit.”
Marvin thought for a moment, wanting to say something that would make his wife happy. He truly cared about her, alien or not. He hated seeing her sad. “How about we stargaze out here together for a while? Jeffy doesn’t have school tomorrow, so we don’t have to be up to get him ready.”
Rose smiled, and laid her head on Marvin’s shoulder. “I’d love that. I’d love that very much.”
Marvin put his hand around her and laid his head on hers. He gazed at her currently mixed features. “You’re so beautiful… In every way…” He cooed, running his fingers through her thick, blonde hair.
“How’d I get so lucky to run into you?” She replied.
The two lovebirds stayed there for hours, soaking in each other’s warmth ad affection. Eventually, they went inside and cuddled in bed. Rose felt much better about not seeing her parents. At least she had family on Earth as well. That’s all she wanted was a loving family.
—---------------
I need to add ‘Rose’s story’ to my list of sotry ideas but I don’t have it planned out yet ughhhhhhhhhhh
Anyways, sorry this is shorter than my usual ones. I have a really cool idea for the next one though, so stay tuned!!!!!!!
Chapter 15: Marvin Remembers
Summary:
uh oh
Chapter Text
Marvin, Rose, and Jeffy were chilling on the red couch as usual, searching through all the channels on their TV to find something good. It felt like they did this everyday, yet somehow it never got old. Once the discovery channel came on, Jeffy started screaming for Marvin not to change it.
“I wanna see if the animals do it like they do it on the discovery channel, on the discovery channel.” Jeffy said.
“Ew, no Jeffy! That’s weird.” Marvin scolded. He then looked at the TV, and saw a few turtles crawling around near a river. “Oh god, there’s turtles… I’m definitely changing the channel.” He never knew why, but turtles always made him feel… anxious. It’s been like that for however long Marvin can remember, which strangely isn’t too long. He picked up the remote and changed it.
“DADDY!!!!” Jeffy shouted. “WHAT THE FUCK?! I WANTED TO SEE THEM DEW IT!”
“Jeffy, that’s strange…” Rose told him.
“Yeah Jeffy, we’re not watching animals do that stuff! That’s super weird!” Marvin exclaimed.
“YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS WEIRD? YOUR BALD ASS HEAD! EVERYTIME WE GO OUTSIDE IM BLINDED BY THE GLOBE YOU CALL A CRAINIUM!” Jeffy ranted, standing up and yelling as loud as he could.
“JEFFY STOP IT! GO TO YOUR ROOM, YOU’RE GROUNDED!” Marvin yelled.
“FOR WHAT BITCH?! SPEAKING THE TRUTH?! YOU LOOK FUGLY! HOW THE HELL DOES MOMMY EVEN TOUCH YOU AT NIGHT?! FUCK YOU DADDY!!!” Jeffy screamed, before storming off to his room.
Marvin and Rose went silent, the only noise in the room being the soft voice narrating whatever on the TV. Marvin was shook by Jeffy’s words. He’d always been insecure about his lack of hair, and Jeffy bringing Rose into the mix… it hurt.
“Marvin, don’t listen to Jeffy… He was just mad…” Rose said, putting a hand on Marvin’s shoulder.
“I just… I’m gonna go… to bed.” Marvin said, walking out of the room.
“O-ok Marvin.” Rose said.
Marvin trudged down the hallway, defeated. He felt depressed. He wished he had the amount of hair he used to… he couldn’t even remember what he looked like. That made him even more mad. He passed the room with the secret door. The secret door was shut, but the room that it was in’s door was wide open. He hadn’t went in there for the longest time, he never knew why.
Though he did today, because inside on the ground was a red hat, and beside it, a star.
“A hat… that would cover the top of my head… then people would think that I have hair!” Marvin exclaimed happily. He picked up the hat, not caring about the star in the slightest, and looked at it more closely. It had a white M on the front of it, which was strange to Marvin since no one else in the house’s name started with an M besides him. He took a breath, before putting it on.
Once the hat fell on top of his head, and was fixed into place, the word seemed to… shift. Marvin didn’t know how to explain it, but something had changed. He shrugged it off, and chocked it up to him not looking bald anymore changing his perspective. He left the room, and started walking back to the living room to show Rose.
Rose… Rose… The name felt weird in Marvin’s head. It felt like a part of it was missing. He stopped to think for a moment. “Is there some chemical in this hat or something???” He asked himself. “No… that’s stupid. I’m just being weird.”
He continued walking, but then accidentally bumped into Junior. He nearly fell backwards, but was able to stay standing. Unfortunately for Junior, he fell right on his bottom. “Hey! Watch where you’re going ya old geezer!” He said, clearly annoyed.
“Sorry, kid, I was just distracted by…” Marvin started to apologize. Though, once he made eye contact with the kid… something really weird happened. The kid turned into some kind of… turtle? Marvin gasped, and backed away slightly. When he looked back, the kid was normal.
“By what? Your upcoming knee surgery?” Junior asked sarcastically. As he spoke, he started transforming? Or shifting appearances. Marvin watched him flash from human to turtle, then back to human. As Marvin continued to stare, the longer the kid flashed into his new.. Form? Until it was seemingly permanent. “Hello?”
“Y-y-you! You’re a turtle!” Marvin shouted, trembling in fear, deeply confused. The kid really was a turtle! He had a big spiky shell on his back, and a bib around his thick scaly neck which had a horribly colored mouth on it.
“Okay, listen, I know I have unmedicated ADHD, but you don’t have to bully me for being a little slow. You’re like, what, 40? Bullying a 16 year old for something he can’t control? That's low, man.” Junior scolded.
“No! You’re really a turtle! A big one!” Marvin exclaimed, starting to freak out.
“Junior? Are you gonna come back in here or what?” A nasally voice said.
“Yeah dude, I wanna play Monopoly this year, not in 2030.” Another voice said. Two boys came around a corner. They both looked human, but just like Junior, shifted into something else. One a turtle with a green shell, and the other a… another turtle? With some kind of wizard suit. He was even holding a wand.
“AHH! More turtles!!!” Marvin shouted. Stepping away. He looked at the thin turtle with the green shell, and strangely had the urge to… jump on it? Now that he thought about it, he had the urge to jump on all of them…
“Uh… excuse me?” The wizard one said. “Are you okay, sir?”
Marvin trembled. He now knew for sure the hat must’ve been infested with some sort of chemical. “S-stay back! Don’t come any closer! O-o-o-or… Or I’ll s-stomp on you!”
“What the hell?” The thin turtle questioned.
Suddenly, a door behind Marvin opened up. A weird BO smell came from the open door. “What the hell are you screaming about? I’m trying to watch Charleyyy!” A voice said. Marvin turned around, and let out a loud screech. The… thing was an even bigger turtle! He, or it? Had large wristbands around it’s beefy arms, and an even bigger shell on it’s back. It had a large snout with razor-sharp teeth inside, and it’s angry eyes were blood red. Marvin stumbled into a sprint, and made his way away from the monster he was seeing. He hopped over the big turtle and the wizard, and jumped on top of the thin turtle. He then ran downstairs to hide.
“Uhhh… I think he’s on drugs.” Cody said.
“I’m gonna go tell Chef PeePee that we have a druggie in our house.” Junior said, standing up and stepping over Joseph.
Marvin ran into the downstairs living room, and fell into the couch, breathing heavily. His heart what pounding out of his chest, so bad he put a hand on his chest to stop himself from having a heart attack. “What is going on?! WHAT IS GOING ON?!”
“Marvippsss, mayn, why you soundin’ so scared folk? I’m tryna play some call of doodis, and yous be distrappin me!” Duggie complained. He looked different too. Not as different, he still looked like a dinosaur, but a different dinosaur. He had a shell on his back like most of the other people Marvin saw did. He was also missing all of his swag, and has orange spikes on his back. He was missing his hat too.
“Black- Duggie!” Marvin exclaimed, pausing due to another set of words nearly coming out of his mouth. No, not words. A name.
“Woooooooow Marvips, I didn’t knows you racist now.” Dug YOSHI said.
“No! I’m not! You…. you look different! Everyone looks different! I don’t know what’s going on! I put this hat on, and ever since I’ve been going crazy!” Marvin explained.
“Marvips, did you get into my kush stash agains? I tolds you not to touch it!” BLACK YOSH ggie scolded.
“I didn’t!” Marvin shouted.
“Marvin! What is going on?! Why are you stomping on Junior’s friends?!” Chef PeePee shouted, coming into the living room. Marvin turned, preparing for the worst. Weirdly enough, The chef didn’t morph into some weird reptile. He stayed normal, no matter how long Marvin stared. Chef PeePee looked at Marvin, then looked surprised, then scared.
“You look normal! Finally! Something that’s not… weird!” Marvin shouted in relief.
“Yeah… I’m going to go back into the kitchen…” Chef PeePee said, walking away.
Marvin became a little more relived. Finally, someone that wasn’t a turtle! He thought for a moment on what could actually be going on. A gas leak upstairs? Yes! That had to be it! There was a gas leak upstairs, and some of it came downstairs and now it was wearing off. Marvin calmed down a little bit. Now that he knew what was happening, he could just fix it.
He decided the best thing to do would be to go outside and call someone to help. He walked outside, and noticed it was dark out. The moon was bright, but it was still hard to see. Thankfully there were streetlights around. He walked to the sidewalk, and went to take out his phone. He touched where his pocket usually was, but there was nothing there. He looked down, and realized… he wasn’t wearing his normal jeans.
He was wearing overalls.
Marvin was once again scared. This had to be the gas leak, right? He started trying to catch his breath, but it was no use. He looked at his hands, and he was wearing white gloves as well. He hadn’t even realized that he had changed as well. Not into a reptile, but something different than usual. It wasn’t too bad, right? It was just different clothes… right?
He felt a tap on his shoulder and jerked away from it, startled by the touch snapping him out of his thoughts. He fell to the ground, his hat falling over his eyes.
“Hey, old guy, why are you standing in the middle of the sidewalk looking at your hands? Are you on drugs? If so, can I have some?” A deep angsty voice said. Marvin moved his hat and saw a red-eyed kid with a nose piercing looking at him confused. Next to him, was a messy-haired his with a blue shirt and grey jeans.
“I’m not… I’m just..” Marv IO started, but trailing off due to the red-eyed kid start to morph as BOWSER Junior did previously. “No! Not you too! I thought it was wearing off!” The kid then turned into a bullet with a face and white hands curled up into fists. He yelped, and booty-scooted backwards.
“Okay, you’re definitely on drugs. Though, I don’t know if I want any now…” The Bully BILL said, backing away a little.
“He sounds kinda like my mommy when she takes her happy medicine.” The messy haired kid said. Weirdly, he didn’t morph into anything. It was just the emo kid.
“God damnit! What is happening to me!” Marvin O cried, curling up into a ball.
The BULLET BILL and the other kid gave each other a look. “Come on Patrick, let’s just go. This is why I don’t sneak out alone.” The two then speed-walked away from the scene.
Marvin scrambled to the door, wanting to find a way to permanently put a stop to this madness. Once he opened the front door, he ran into his wife.
MARIO, are you okay?! What’s going on?! I’ve been hearing that you’re doing a bunch of weird stuff.” Ros ALINA questioned, donning a worried look. She looked different, but like BLACK YOSHI , not completely. One of her eyes were covered by her hair, and the other was bright blue. She had a crown tucked in her long, thick, whitish-blonde hair. She also had a cyanish dress on, instead of her usual sky blue top and jeggings. Her saying Marvin’s name morphed into a name MAR vin recognized. Hearing the name felt weird. It’s like… it’s like he was MARIO.
“I’m not Mario! I’m Mar IO !” He shouted, shrieking at his own speech being modified by whatever was happening in his head.
“I didn’t say you were… Marvin, I think you need to go lie down. You’re acting super strange.” ROSALINA told him, guiding him up the stairs.
“No! I need answers! What is happening! Everyone is changing, then some people aren’t?! There’s a bullet with a face outside! A BULLET! AND THERES TURTLES IN HERE! YOU’RE DIFFERENT! AND I’M…” Marvin ranted, before realizing something. “I need a mirror!” He released himself from ROSALINA and ran to the bathroom.
He nearly fell into the bathroom, and slammed the door to avoid having to see anything else that would send him into a frenzy. He stared into the mirror, and saw someone that WAS n’t him.
A short, chubby man with a red hat, red shirt, blue overalls, and a fluffy black mustache on his face.
Looking at his reflection changed something in him. All his memories started morphing and coming back to him.
He remembered. He remembered everything.
“My name is MARIO MARIO . I am married to ROSALINA MARIO . My son’s name is Jeffy. I am roomates with BOWSER , his son BOWSER JUNIOR , BLACK YOSHI, And a bunch of others. I have a brother named LUIGI. He has a clone named MAMA LUIGI who I had a few STUPID AND DUMB Adventures with.” He said, the names he was saying coming straight from his mouth, not being morphed by anything.
“I am not Marvin. I am Mario. I always have been Mario.” He said.
The bathroom door opened. It was ROSALINA . “Mario , Chef PeePee wants you in the kitchen. So does Brooklyn Guy.” She told him, strangely casually. Before, she’d been scared for him. Huh…
Mario went down the stairs. He looked into the downstairs living room at Black Yoshi before going into the kitchen. In there, was Chef PeePee and Brooklyn T Guy leaning against the counters, looking into the kitchen walkway as if they knew he was coming.
“Mario, there you are. I know how to fix it.” Brooklyn told him. “Just turn around for a moment, okay?”
Mario nodded before turning. He then realized something. “Wait, you called me Mario. You did, no other voice. And so did Rosalina! She must've gotten that star!” Mario’s eyes widened, before turning back around. He didn’t get to say anything else, because Chef PeePee swung a rolling pin at his head, knocking him out cold.
“We got to get him into the secret door, quick. Make sure no one sees.” Brooklyn Guy said, picking up Mario’s body.
“How could we let this happen? How did he even find the hat?! And his wife find Luma?!” Chef PeePee questioned.
“I don’t know, but if we want this universe to stay, then we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Brooklyn replied. He started carrying Mario up the stairs, Chef PeePee following close behind. Brooklyn threw Mario’s body in the secret door, and shut and locked it.
Mario woke up to the sound of snipping scissors. He sat up, and rubbed his head. He felt a lump forming, just like in the cartoons. He looked at the sight in front of him, and saw Brooklyn performing some sort of brain surgery, on two people.
Rosalina, and… someone who reminded Mario of her. Who had her essence, but wasn’t the same.
“And… memories gone. Now, we just this brain in her new body, and send her on her way.” Brooklyn said, dusting off his hands.
“What will we do about Jeffy? Did he see anything?” Chef PeePee asked.
“I don’t think so. We can just reset the past… hour, and everything will be back to normal.” Brooklyn said.
“Good, because I’m tired.” Chef PeePee said.
Mario hadn’t been noticed yet, but he watched. He had no idea what was going on. Chef PeePee and Brooklyn T Guy were speaking nonsense to him. And who was that lady? Mario stood up, and grabbed a board that was next to him. He approached the two men slowly, until they noticed him.
“SHIT! HE’S AWAKE!” Brooklyn cried. Chef PeePee went to say something as well, but Mario whacked him with the board, sending him to the ground. Brooklyn backed away.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ROSALINA?! AND WHY WAS I KNOCKED OUT?!” Mario shouted.
“You weren’t supposed to see this!” Brooklyn exclaimed. “Listen man, just stay calm. We can talk about this!”
“Who is this woman on the table?! And why do you have my wife’s brain?!” Mario questioned, holding up the board as to threaten the doctor.
“T-that’s your wife, buddy!” Brooklyn said, laughing nervously.
“No she isn’t!!!” Mario cried.
“Well, once your memories are switched up, she will be.” Brooklyn told him.
Before Mario could respond, he felt someone come up from behind him and start to choke him. It was Chef PeePee. Mario tried to squirm away, but it was no use. His consciousness eventually faded, the chef shushing him into slumber.
Marvin, Rose, and Jeffy were chilling on the red couch as usual, searching through all the channels on their TV to find something good. It felt like they did this everyday, yet somehow it never got old. Once the discovery channel came on, Jeffy started screaming for Marvin not to change it.
“Jeffy, that’s strange…” Rose told him.
“Yeah Jeffy, we’re not watching animals do that stuff! That’s super weird!” Marvin exclaimed.
“YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS WEIRD? YOUR BALD ASS HEAD! EVERYTIME WE GO OUTSIDE IM BLINDED BY THE GLOBE YOU CALL A CRAINIUM!” Jeffy ranted, standing up and yelling as loud as he could.
“JEFFY STOP IT! GO TO YOUR ROOM, YOU’RE GROUNDED!” Marvin yelled.
“FOR WHAT BITCH?! SPEAKING THE TRUTH?! YOU LOOK FUGLY! HOW THE HELL DOES MOMMY EVEN TOUCH YOU AT NIGHT?! FUCK YOU DADDY!!!” Jeffy screamed, before storming off to his room.
“I just… I’m gonna go… to bed.” Marvin said, walking out of the room.
“O-ok Marvin.” Rose said.
He walked past it, and walked into his bedroom. He fell into his bed, laid himself down more properly, and took a long nap.
He hadn’t really thought about it, but his head had been feeling quite weird.
Chapter Text
In the darkness of the night, a woman trudged on sidewalk only illuminated by the faulty street lights outlining the neighborhood. In her arms, was a month-old baby boy. Ginger hair was just starting to sprout on his head, seemingly looking like fuzz. The newborn was fast asleep in the comfort of his mother’s arms.
The woman’s journey was seemingly endless. She was walking wherever was the fastest and most discreet way out of the town. She waited until the middle of the night, where the baby would be tired enough to not wake up for at least a few hours.
She needed to be quiet. She was being hunted, and she knew that.
She turned a corner. A breeze hit her side, but was mostly blocked by her jacket. The baby squirmed a bit, feeling the cold. The woman shushed him, and grazed his head softly to calm him. The baby boy then went back to being still.
A car was heard driving by. The woman didn’t know where, but she knew there was a chance that it wasn’t a police car. She jogged off of the sidewalk, and into some bushes in order to not be seen. The bushes blocked the passing wind, which was good for the baby.
The car was hard to see. Its headlights weren’t on, and it was all black. The windows were tinted as well. It slowed down near where the woman was hiding. She stayed completely still. The car started to drive away after seeing that it was empty.
The woman came out once the car was mostly gone. She let out a breath that she didn’t know she was holding, and looked down at her baby. “Oh… my sweet child.” She cooed.
She looked back up to the sidewalk, and saw a man pointing a gun at her. He shot, and she fell to the ground, her baby still in her arms.
The man with the gun signalled for the car to come back. As it backed up, the man approached the body. He quickly noticed the baby in the woman’s arms. It started to cry, which made the man freak out.
“Bowser! Shut that damn kid up! We’re gonna get caught!” Another man whisper-yelled, hopping out of the car.
“I’m trying!” Bowser told him. He approached the baby, and picked him up. He then bounced him slightly to quiet him down, which luckily worked after a bit. He let out a sigh of relief.
“Is that your kid?” Bowser’s friend asked.
“Yes… I thought that slut got an abortion. I guess she wasn’t lying about having it.” Bowser grumbled.
“What are you gonna do with it?” The man asked.
Bowser thought for a moment, staring down at the newborn. “I’ll keep it. He’ll grow up and join the gang later on. He’ll be expendable.”
“Alright, well, let’s flee the scene. Unless you want to put Sheena in the trunk?” Bowser's friend said, gesturing to the body.
“Nah, we can leave her. She’s not gonna survive the shot anyways. That’s what she gets for leaving the gang.” Bowser scoffed. The kid squirmed in his arms. “What do you think I should name the kid?”
“Huh… I dunno. If he’s gonna be in the gang, maybe after yourself? Not your gang name, but like Justin Reynolds Jr?”
“Hmm… I like it. His name will be Justin Braxton Reynolds Jr.” Bowser said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Taking care of a child and doing his gang duties wasn’t an easy task. With all the hassle, Braxton was hardly taking care of himself, or even cleaning the house. It was always a mess, and with a toddler running around, it never stayed clean.

The kid had started to sprout horns, just like Braxton had. Braxton figured the child would gain some of his features, since he was hardly human himself, but the horns were kind of a jumpscare. The kid’s eyes were also very beady and doll-like, which kind of creeped Braxton out.

Justin Jr was a pretty high-maintenance kid. With all the stress he caused Braxton, Braxton returned it by yelling, and sometimes even hitting the kid. His rage he let out at ‘work’ wasn’t enough. At one point, to stop Justin Jr from crying, he shoved cotton balls in his mouth. He knew the methods were extreme, but they worked.

One day, in 2011, when Braxton was driving home, he saw a man on the side of the road. He was in a chef’s uniform complete with a chef’s hat on his head. The man was obviously homeless. He was passed out, holding a sign that said “WILL COOK 4 MONEY.” Braxton stopped next to him in his car, and woke him up.

The two talked for a while. Braxton introduced himself vaguely, and eventually hired the chef to cook for him, and to babysit his son while he was at work.

Now that Justin Jr had someone to babysit him, his dad was in the picture less and less. His father started calling him Junior when he was around 2 or 3, so he told everyone he met to call him that as well.

When he was 4 or 5, he started learning that most of his friends have dads AND moms. Junior was confused on why he didn’t have a mom. He always felt left out when people at school would talk and complain about their moms.

One day, he went up to his dad and asked about his mom. He asked where she was and what she looked like and what she was like. Braxton swore to himself to never tell Junior what had truly happened to his mother, so instead of giving him a fake story, he yelled at him to go away.

Being told ‘no’ never fazed Junior any other time, so overtime he continued to pester his dad over and over about his mom. Braxton eventually hired a woman to fake being his mom, which held Junior over. Though he never saw her again, he was content.

He would never know his actual mother had supposedly died by gunshot.

Supposedly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sheena has been living paycheck to paycheck for over 15 years. Ever since she was found by a police officer on the side of the road, shot in the chest, she’d been hiding in Alabama. She had a small studio apartment. Despite being tiny, it was enough for her. She was glad she had running water, working power, and a roof over her head.
Every day, she went through Pensacola news articles to find her son. A few years prior, she’d finally found someone who looked just like him. Instead of being named Samuel, or Sam for short, the boy’s name was Junior. Sheena knew that Braxton must’ve renamed the kid. He didn’t know his first name since he hadn’t even shown up to when the baby was being born, so it checked out.
“Oh, my sweet Sammy. I know you were an accident, and I know you nearly got me killed, but I just want to see you again. You’re my baby… even if you resemble your father more than I’d want you to.” She spoke, staring at the images of him she printed out from the news articles. “I’ll find you someday.” She put the pictures back in her desk drawer, and went to bed. She had work in the morning.
Notes:
Not as good as Chef PeePee's story but I tried :/ I also wanted to explain Junior's mom as well as how Braxton was in a gang (and called himself Bowser bc it sounded scarier.)
Chapter 18: SML Movie: The Writing Competition!
Summary:
The winners of the school-wide writing competition are being announced
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
It was Friday at Y U DUMB elementary/middle/high school, though for the high schoolers, it was something even more exciting. The school-wide writing competition's results were being announced at the beginning of every class. The prize for winning was a 500 dollar scholarship for a college of your choice (or some cheap stationery for the elementary kids,) and the opportunity to read your story in front of everyone.
You could write whatever you wanted, as long as it was appropriate. A fictional piece, a biography, a poem, even a screenplay. A lot of the kids channeled all of their creativity into a work of art, at least in their eyes, while some others half-assed it so they could use the remaining work time to be on their phones or smoke their 50 nic guava juice blue razz geek pulser in the bathroom away from the vape sensors.
One of the people who worked the hardest on theirs was none other than Penelope. She really wanted not only the scholarship, but also to be able to read her piece in front of everyone. The satisfaction of winning was going to feel great, she just knew it. Even on the bus on the way to school, she just couldn't shut up about the competition.
“On Monday, I heard that that's when they're having the assembly about it, and that's where I'll read my story! Ooo, what you should I wear there?” She rambled before looking at Junior for his opinion. Much to her dismay, he was zoned out.
Joseph tapped him on the shoulder. “Dude, your girl is asking you some bullshit question about something no one will care about.” Junior jumped a little.
“People will care! They don't want to see a ragamuffin on-stage!” Penelope retorted. “So Junior, what should I wear?”
“Aren't you already dressed? I mean, I don't know what clothes are in your locker right now, but I think you look good in red.” Junior responded obliviously. Penelope face-palmed, and Cody and Joseph chuckled to themselves.
“So Penelope, what's your story about again? I know about the modern Romeo and Juliet-esque plot, but we never really heard anything more about it.” Cody asked, genuinely curious while Joseph rolled his eyes.
“I don't really wanna give any more spoilers on it. I want everyone to be blown away by it, and not expect any of the twists I threw in.” Penelope told him with a confident smile.
The bus stopped at the school and the driver opened its doors. Penelope happily skipped off the bus and even gave the bus driver a happy wave on the way off. “Bye sweetie, don't end up like ya good-fa-nothin father Brookie!”
The classroom was very lively, most chatting amongst themselves about the upcoming announcement that was to be delivered by their teacher. Sadly, Jackie Chu was never on time to class, so the results would be given around 5 to 10 minutes late. Penelope didn't let that stop her good mood.
“What did you guys write about?” She asked.
“I wrote about which Thomas series is the best one, and did a ranking of all of them.” Junior said. “I couldn't decide which of them was best though.”
“I wrote a romantic, steamy, and very yaoi-filled masterpiece. I know the judges will love it.” Cody said proudly.
“Well, I wrote about basketball, mostly about king LeBron.” Joseph announced, trying to distract from Cody's weirdness.
The group continued talking, until they heard the classroom door open. Penelope felt her heart jump when she saw it was Jackie Chu who entered. He finished typing something on his phone before making his way to his desk and clearing his throat, which made the remaining chatterboxes in the class quiet. “Hello class. As you know, the writing competition's results are being announced today. Let me check my email real quick, and then I'll share it with all of you.”
Penelope quietly squealed with excitement. She looked at Junior, who was smiling back at her. “Good luck.” He whispered, knowing she most likely wouldn't need it.
Once Jackie Chu looked over the results, he shushed the class and stood in the front. “Okay, so… for the elementary school, ‘Bear’ by Daryl Steinbeck was third, ‘All the ways my dad has beat me in 2025’ by Mikey Tyson was second, and ‘My best friends’ By Freddy was first.”
The teacher announced the middle schoolers's rankings next, none of which anyone knew. Penelope was starting to grow increasingly impatient, bouncing her leg under the desk to distract herself.
“And finally, the ones you all care about the most, the high school rankings.” Jackie Chu announced. Some of the class cheered, while others stayed silent in suspense. “Before I tell you the top 3, Cody, the judges wanted me to let you know that your story has been haunting them ever since they read the first few lines, and they couldn't even get through it completely because they were so disturbed.”
“Oh come on! It was a masterpiece! Wattpad loved it!” Cody exclaimed angrily.
“Anyways, third place goes to… ‘The best Thomas series is…’ By Justin Reynolds Jr.” The teacher started. Junior's jaw dropped, and Penelope gave him a high five. “Second place… ugh, my eyes are so slant. I can't read the name…”
Penelope was about to go up to the front and read the names herself. The suspense was drilling into her body and ripping out her insides, at least that's what it felt like. The feeling slightly went away as she saw Jackie Chu finally read the names right.
“Ah, finally. 2nd place is ‘My love, text me’ By Penelope Guy, and 1st is ‘What you don't see’ by Bully Bill.”
None of the squad even needed to look at Penelope to know how distraught she was. Some of the class quietly scoffed after Bully's win, while Annabelle cheered. Junior built up the courage to look at his girlfriend. Once he did, he saw her with a blank expression before folding her arms on her desk and dropping her head.
Junior was also very surprised. Bully? Winning first place in a school activity? Could that even be possible? Junior didn't think he cheated, since there was a strong ‘No Cheating’ policy and they checked the papers thoroughly. Junior didn't want to think too hard about it, since he knew he was going to hear a lot more theories from Penelope once she… woke up? Her head was still lying on her desk.
Jackie Chu started the first lesson of the day, which was some statistics lesson that no one really paid any attention to (besides maybe Cody.) Junior and Joseph tossed paper balls at each other while Cody tried his best to dodge the outliers. Once that and the history lesson was over, Jackie Chu gave the kids free time before lunch.
Junior tapped his girlfriend on the shoulder to let her know that it was free time. He had no idea if she was asleep or crying, or just contemplating life. She sat up, her eyes half-lidded with a small frown on her face. Junior could tell she let out a few tears. Junior asked if she needed to step out, but she shook her head. The group started to chat to fill the silence and make the time until lunch go faster.
“I can't believe the judges didn't even properly judge my work. It wasn't even that lewd!” Cody complained, still very angry over the announcement.
“Knowing you, it probably was dude. Should've just stuck to something simple like me.” Joseph told the nerd.
“I'm still shocked I got third. Maybe if I actually decided on a series I might have gotten a higher score.” Junior said. Penelope was still silent, staring blankly ahead. “Are you sure you're okay, Penelope?”
She sighed. “He had to have cheated. He doesnt even try during class, and he has all Ds and Fs, so why would he try on this?! I'm going to get to the bottom of this! Maybe his mom did something to the judges or something, she does work at the school.”
“Dude, who cares? It's just a stupid paper that wins you a cheap scholarship That will hardly pay for 1 term even at the shitty local community college.” Joseph ranted.
“It's not just about the scholarship, it's about the other prize. I really wanted to read my story in front of everyone! I even practiced for hours! My stepmother said it was amazing. Why didn't the judges think so?” Penelope said.
“I bet it was awesome, Pen. Who knows, maybe Bully did cheat. There's no changing it now. You can read it to us after school if you wanna. I'll even get Chef PeePee to listen.” Junior beamed, trying his best to cheer his girlfriend up. By her facial expression, it wasn't working so well.
“I appreciate that, but it's not the same as the entire school hearing it.” Penelope said. “I just really wanna know what he wrote.”
“Why don't you just ask him? He just went to the bathroom, but when he gets back you could try.” Cody recommended.
Penelope considered it, before rejecting it. “He wouldn't tell me…” She looked over to the boy’s half-empty desk. The only other person sitting there was Annabelle, who was attempting to take the blade out of a pencil sharpener. Penelope then had an idea. “But, maybe his girlfriend would.”
The ginger girl got up from her seat without a proper warning and walked to the other side of the classroom where the ravenette was sitting. She then casually started a conversation. “Heyy Anna! You heard the results for the writing competition, right?”
The girl looked up at Penelope. “Yeah, I heard. My darling won first prize. His was amazing, meanwhile I hardly tried, I just got it over with so I could go puff in the stalls.” She continued to fidget with the small piece of plastic.
“Haha, well at least you have your priorities straight.” Penelope joked. She cleared her throat, ready to get to the point. “What did he write about? I wanna know what the judges liked so much.”
Annabelle put the sharpener down and hesitated. “Uh, he doesn't really want to tell anyone about it. I'm the only one who read it apart from the judges.”
“Come onnn, I won't tell anyone else about it. What, did he cheat or something, and you don't want to tell me because of that? He's going to read it in front of everyone anyway.” Penelope questioned.
“It's not that, trust me he didn't cheat. It's just very… personal. And hes gonna see if Jackie Chu will let him skip the assembly, so he wont have to read it.” Annabelle told her.
Penelope sighed, frustrated at not getting any answers. “Fine…” Penelope started to walk away. “By the way, you need a screwdriver to get the blade out of that sharpener, and even then it's not worth it.”
“Fuck.”
Once Penelope made it to her seat and told Junior and the gang what happened, it was lunch time. They walked to the lunch room, still chatting about the whole ordeal, and found a small table to sit at. Jeffy joined them as well.
“That competition was bullshit. My paper on why green beans taste like shit should've won!” Jeffy grumbled. “You guys wanna read it?” He pulled out the paper, which had a note at the top that said ‘great showing opinion, grammar still needs work 👍’
“Wait, how'd you get yours? Weren't they going to be handed out later?” Joseph asked.
“Yeah but I asked for mine early so I could send a picture to my daddy so he'd only yell at me over text. Everyone else’s thingies are on his desk.” Jeffy answered. Once Penelope heard where the papers were, she had an idea.
“Is he in the classroom right now?” She asked.
“My daddy? No, he’s at home bangin’ mommy or something.”
“Not him, the teacher!” Penelope clarified, facepalming.
“Ohhhhh, no he’s not. He left to see his wife or something.” Jeffy told her. She smirked.
“Are you thinking about stealing Bully’s paper?” Cody asked, his tone laced with worry.
“I’m not gonna steal it, Cody, I’m just gonna sneak a peak at it and take a few pictures to read it later.” Penelope said, getting up from her seat.
“Well, you better hurry. His mom is the lunch lady and she probably wants to see it.” Junior mentioned. Penelope nodded and ran out of the lunchroom. Junior stole a few chips off her plate once she was gone
The lunch staff wasn’t strict about kids staying in the lunchroom, which made it so the halls were always smokey by the time lunch was over, and so Penelope could go into the classroom while no one was looking. She slipped by the girls that do nothing but go on their phones and the teachers before entering Jackie Chu’s dark classroom. Instead of turning the light on, which would make her presence known to anyone outside, she slid in and used her phone light to see where she was going.
She went straight to the teacher’s desk and the papers were right on his desk like Jeffy had said. She shuffled through them until Bully’s paper appeared. It was only about a page long, which was way shorter than hers was. She started to read it.
Something You Can’t Just Look At
By Bully Bill
Judge Notes: Great storytelling! Praying for you for the future! You are a great writer. Keep it up!
Most students in school walk in the building, from either a bus or a car, eventually walk to their class, sit down, and either go on their phones or recap with their friends. Once the conversation dulls, or they need to rest their eyes, they’ll look around the room a bit. They’ll lay their eyes on the preps, the band kids, the geeks, the sped kids, the weird kids, and the kids who don’t care and mess with the others like I do. They’ll lay their eyes on them, before going back to what they are doing. They’ll look, but never truly see someone as they are. That preppy girl? She’s overworked and overwhelmed by her parents. The weird kid? He wasn’t forced to grow up and was allowed to do what made him happy unlike a lot of us. And me?
My mom is poor. My dad is in jail for doing some really bad things. My house hardly has working electricity, water, or heat. I know my mom loves me, but her bringing a different guy home every week and having relations loudly in the room right next to mine is starting to mess with my sleep schedule and mental health. Every time I hear the sheets start to ruffle, I sneak out my window and take a walk. The lack of energy doesn’t make me feel very happy in the morning. My mood makes it really hard to make friends, so people tend to keep their distance. I would too if I saw some kid with both red eyes and irises and eyebags sitting in the corner.
I only have 2 true friends who would actually care if I died or not, one of those being my girlfriend. She’s in a similar situation. Her stepdad abuses her, and her mom verbally abuses her. We meet up at night and she tells me everything that happens while we go out and do whatever distracting activity we can, normally sitting in the crackhead seats at the gas station or at a bench at the park. She makes me feel needed, and I make her feel wanted. The other one is the weird kid I mentioned earlier. When my girlfriend can’t meet up, we play catch in the street and I warn him about any incoming cars. It makes me feel like a little nerd, but there isn’t anyone to judge me.
I think there’s a big problem in this society, and it’s how people judge others. Sure, sometimes it’s deserved, like when some guy loudly announces he likes minors in the middle of the snack isle at 3 am, but when someone just wants to be alone? It makes them emo and at least a little suicidal, only the latter being true. A 16 year old wants to play catch? They’re a little kid who needs to grow up and face reality. Someone cuts theirself? If they want to die that bad they should just do it and not give people a teaser trailer or something. That’s not how it always is. It’s not something you can just look at. Their true self is something you have to find.
Penelope put the paper down, and fully took it in. She had spent a little time with Bully when they were dating, but she never knew he could be so deep. Now she saw why it won. It wasn’t just some cliche fantasy piece, it was something a lot of people needed to hear.
A door opened behind her. She didn’t turn until she heard a voice. “You read it…” Bully said, surprisingly not mad but… embarrassed. He sighed before approaching the lass. “I figured you were gonna try something like this. Just don’t tell anyone about it, okay? I don’t want people know I was venting to get a point across, or what I revealed about Annabelle.” He took the paper from Penelope, and went to walk out.
“I see why it won.” Penelope said. Bully stopped in his tracks and looked back at her. “It is really great. It’s something a lot of people need to hear and take a note of. No need to be embarrassed.”
Bully stayed silent for a short moment, choosing his next words. “I know… I just know that people are gonna make fun of me for it in some way. Something about being emo and shit like they always say about me.”
“Well, I don’t think that. I kinda know what you feel like. Definitely not fully, but I sorta get it.” Penelope told him. “If you don’t want to show it to anyone, it’s totally fine. It’s really good though.”
“Thanks…” Bully said sheepishly. “I was really hoping to get that scholarship. If I save enough money, I’ll be able to stay in the dorms at college instead of at my mom’s or some crappy studio apartment.”
“What are you gonna major in?” Penelope asked.
“I don’t know yet… I’ve heard that I’d be good for philosophy, but I’m going to look into it more before I actually decide.” Bully told her.
“Well, from what I’ve read, you’d be great for it.” Penelope said. She checked the time on her phone and realized lunch was ending in about 5 minutes. “I’m gonna head back to lunch before all my food gets stolen. I’ll see you around.” She gave the noirette a wave before leaving the classroom.
Bully waved back, but didn’t leave yet. He skimmed his paper once again. Penelope was right, it was pretty good. He stayed in the classroom since he definitely wasn’t planning on showing his mom it due to the not-so-good things he said about her in it. Though, she wouldn’t be at the assembly on Monday…
He shot Annabelle a text, telling her to leave early to meet up in the classroom, and put the paper in his bag.
~~~~~~

All the students gathered in the auditorium for the assembly. It was a so-far calm Monday morning. Many were happy to be out of their classes, while others were excited to see what was going to happen.

Principal Steinbeck went over how the school was this month, which as he always would say was ‘horrible’ though surprisingly ‘less horrible than last month.’ He went over the school rules, then made a special announcement.

“Alright, brats, for the final event, or whatever, of this assembly we have a special event. Our writing competition winners are going to read their stories out loud. We will start with the elementary and end with the high schoolers. Freddy, you may come down and read yours.” The man scoffed before leaving the stage so Freddy could go up. He read his story, and got a large amount of applause, Cody cheering the loudest since he was one of Freddy’s “bestest friends.”

The next was a middle schooler no one knew, but her story was pretty good. It entertained most, while others used the time to sneak on their phones until someone they cared about came up. Once she went and sat back down, Jackie Chu came up to the mic with a paper.

“Alright, so, the student who wrote this didn’t want to read it themselves, so I will read this censored version for them.” He cleared his throat and started reading. This ‘censored’ version was less personal than what Penelope read, but it gave the same message. Many kids even got off of their phones to actually listen. Once it was done, the crowd gave a loud cheer. Penelope looked over to where Bully was sitting, and they locked eyes. She gave him a thumbs up, and he nodded and smiled before turning back to where he was looking to avoid attracting attention.

Despite not being the closest of friends, she was very proud of him.

Holy gyatt that took forever

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!

Sorry for the wait, I've been busy with a really exciting project. I don't want to reveal much about it yet cuz i don't want to get people's hopes up and then abandoning it, but yea (I shouldn't though. It's already like 53k words and it's about to the grand climax)

I'll give you guys a hint though, the title, and for the most part, the plot has the same name as my favorite Bon Jovi song ;)

Chapter 19: Bullabelle- sappy meet-up

Summary:

Bully and Annabelle sneak out to see each other. They've both had a rough spring break, but Annabelle has seemed to have it worse

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Bully opened his window, carefully crawled out, then only closed it a little so he could get back inside his room later. There wasn’t too much of a breeze outside, in fact it was pretty warm, so he wasn’t worried about his room getting too hot or cold. If it did, he’d deal with it later. For now, he just wanted to see his girlfriend.

Spring break had been pretty long. Bully wasn’t really having a good time at home, but he knew Annabelle was most likely having it worse. Her stepdad was really abusive, and her mom never did anything about it. 99% on a test? You basically just told them you were a satanist and were going to kill them in their sleep. Even a 100% didn’t really impress them. But tonight, her parents were out bar hopping, so Bully could finally see her again after 4 days.

He sat at the park bench the two agreed to meet at and waited for her. He took out his phone and checked where she was. She was just around the corner, slowly making her way to the spot. They always had each other’s location on. Not only because of trust, but also just in case Annabelle’s step dad tries something.

She finally rounded the corner and speed-walked over to her albino boyfriend. Bully noticed that she looked… messier than usual. She was wearing her usual purple skirt, but instead of a black crop-top she was wearing a black turtle-neck. Bully told himself not to worry too much about it right now and not pester the lass with questions.

“Hey babe.” Annabelle said once she made it to the bench. She sat down and kissed Bully, Bully quickly returning the gesture. She stopped tongue-fighting with him and laid her head on his shoulder. “I’m so tired. I almost didn’t sneak out tonight.”

“We could go back to my place and take a short power nap. What time are your guardians going to be home?” Bully asked. He preferred not calling them parents since they hardly gave a crap about her. Annabelle didn’t mind. She encouraged it.

“I don’t know, but I don’t think they’ll check on me.” She responded. She fidgeted with the cuffs of her sweater, twisting them back and forth like how you’d rev-up a motorcycle. She stood up, with Bully doing the same right after. “Can we hit up the gas station first? I haven’t eaten in…” She didn’t finish her sentence. Bully nodded, taking her hand and starting their walk to the local 7-11.

While walking, Bully felt Annabelle’s hand getting increasingly sweaty and clammy. “Aren’t you hot in that sweater?”

“A little, but I don’t have anything under it. I’ll be fine.” She answered. They continued walking until they got to the gas station. Bully didn’t have too much money so he distracted the camel who was working while Annabelle snatched all the snacks she could. She stuffed them under her sweater and crept out of the doors while Bully continued talking to the employee

Once the camel realized what was going on, Bully ran away, stealing another bag of chips on his way out. He caught up to Annabelle, who was way down the block. She showed him what she had gathered, and he showed her the small catch he got. They then sat on the sidewalk and took a break to snack on their loot.

“God, the feeling of food in my stomach feels so… alien.” Annabelle mumbled, tossing another gummy worm into her mouth.

“This is why you gotta remember to eat, Anna.” Bully told her.

“I know… but with what happens at home, and me not wanting to leave my room, it gets kinda hard to make it to the kitchen without being heckled.” Annabelle said. Bully gave her a pat on the back and wrapped his arm around her to comfort her.

They packed up what they hadn’t finished, threw their trash away in the nearest trash can, and started walking to Bully’s house. Luckily it was only 2-and-a-half blocks away from where they were. The night had started to heat up, and Bully saw beads of sweat forming on his girlfriend’s forehead. He asked her if she wanted to put on his shirt to stay cool, while he just walked shirtless, but she refused.

“Is there another reason that you aren’t taking that thing off? You know I think you’re gorgeous no matter what.” Bully questioned.

“No. I’m fine.” She answered vaguely, turning away slightly. Bully knew she was lying, he could easily tell. But why? What was she hiding?

Hiding.

Bully stopped walking. She quickly realized that she had stopped moving and looked back, raising a brow. Bully sighed shakily. “You cut again, didn’t you?”

Annabelle’s heart dropped, an expression of surprise and regret quickly forming on her face. She averted eye contact, and frowned. Bully approached her carefully, and softly took her arm. He took the sleeve, but Annabelle held it in place to stop it from being pulled back. Tears formed in her eyes. Bully looked back up at her.

“I’m not mad, I promise. I’m just worried. I wanna help you, Anna.” He said softly. Annabelle looked back into his eyes. His gaze made her know his worry was genuine. She sighed, before lifting up the sleeve herself.

They were deep. Deeper than she usually would cut. Bully knew spring break was rough for her, but man… Bully had seen some messed-up stuff, but even this made his eyes widen. He visibly winced, so Annabelle pulled her arm away.

“I’m sorry Annabelle. As soon as I save up enough money I promise I’ll get you out of there. It’ll be soon. I’m almost there.” He assured her. He pulled her into a tight hug. She sobbed into his shoulder, wetting the fabric of the shirt he was wearing with tears. He held her close, rubbing her back soothingly. He didn’t judge her. He never judged her. He only loved her for who she actually was. She did the same.

They stayed how they were until Annabelle had gotten everything out. She brought her head up and wiped the remaining tears and wetness from her face. Bully took her hand. “Come on, let’s go back to my house and I’ll clean these up. I don’t want them to get infected.

Annabelle nodded, and the two continued walking down the street.

Chapter Text

The secret project I've been teasing for a while now is finally finished!!

Well, not really. I still have to edit it to make sure I get rid of all the mistakes (I wrote a lot of it on my phone and my phone does this super awesome really fun thing where it randomly capitalizes shit and It definitely does not piss me off in the slightest!1!1!1!1)

BUT, I'm mostly sure that the first chapter is good enough right now to show you guys!

A few notes before we get started

-This takes place in the puppet era (April-May 2021 to be exact) but Braxton's name is Bowser here (that's because it's his nickname)

-Junior is 12, Chef PeePee is 31, Bowser is 54, Jeffy is 16, Joseph is 12, Cody is 13, Toad turns 13 during the fic, Marvin is 36 (I think), Rose is 34 (not canon), Brooklyn Guy is 43 (again I'm not too sure but he's not in this chapter so), and Penelope is 13

Anyways, here it is

--‐----‐----

It wasn't an uncommon occurrence for Chef PeePee to be startled by sounds of shouting through the walls. Whether they were Juniors, or Bowsers. He'd just rub his eyes and get back to cleaning or something. They weren’t normally urgent matters. Most of the time it was just Junior being fussy.

But today was different.

Junior's cries sounded more terrified than anything, while Bowser's sounded more wrathful. Chef PeePee didn't mind it too much to intervene yet, though he was starting to get worried.

He tried to brush it off, he tried not to worry too much, but it was one string of words from Junior that made Fernando Strongbottom sprint up the stairs at full speed.

“PLEASE DAD! NOT THE FACE! I’M SORRY!”

The chef ran into the room the noises were coming from, aka Junior's room. The fear he gained from the view of the scene shot right up his spine.

His own father beating his son in the head with one of his shoes. And not normal beatings either, Chef PeePee saw Bowser revving up his swing before bringing down the hammer on his son's noggin.

“BOWSER!” The chef shouted, startling Bowser and causing him to turn his head towards the chef. “What the HELL are you doing to Junior?!?! You're going to give him brain damage! What's wrong with you?!?!”

Bowser took a moment to soak in his words before clenching the shoe in his head and storming over to him.

Chef PeePee backed up. He wanted to run, he wanted to scream.

But the only thing he could do was stand there and take the hard smack of the shoe across his face while Junior's terrified eyes watched.

“YOU DON'T RAISE YOUR VOICE TO ME IN MY OWN HOME, SLAVE!” Bowser yelled as the chef fell to the floor, clutching his cheek. Bowser stood over him and kicked him hard in the stomach. The chef let out a cry of pain.

“Dad stop! Please!” Junior cried out, tears of fear falling from his eyes. Even more than before anyways.

It seemed as if Bowser's neck went 180 degrees the way his face snapped to Junior. “STAY OUT OF THIS, BRAT! I'LL DO WHATEVER I WANT TO WHOEVER I WANT!!”

He then picked up Chef PeePee by the collar with a single arm before slamming him against a nearby wall.

“Bowser, please…” Chef PeePee choked out, a few tears rolling down his face onto his uniform. Bowser pressed him harder against the wall and brought his mouth close to the chef's ear.

“If you EVER say ANYTHING like that to me again, I will TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB, AND FEED YOUR CORPSE TO JEFFY'S DOG.” Bowser then threw him to the ground and walked to his room to watch Charleyyy like nothing happened.

Junior dizzily trudged over to Chef PeePee and sat him up against the wall. He then sat next to him and leaned against his shoulder. “He got mad because I said I felt too tired for school today. I couldn't sleep that well.” Junior told him, staring at his feet.

Chef PeePee sighed. “Well, you still have to go. Come on, I'll drive you. The bus is probably long gone by now.” He pressed his hand against the wall, trying to balance himself so he could stand. His stomach hurt like hell, he felt like he was going to vomit, and he felt his face swelling up. He's been slapped and even beaten by Bowser before, but nothing like this had happened in a while.

Junior stood with the chef. “My dad said I don't have to go anymore. Not until my face heals.”

The chef hadn't gotten a good look at the kid’s face until then. He thought his bruises were bad, but looking at Junior made him have second thoughts.

The boy had bruises all over his head and his arms. Hell, some of the ones on his arms were probably not even from today. Along with that, his nose was bleeding, and his left eye was starting to swell. Chef PeePee never felt more sorry for anyone, let alone it being Junior.

He thought to himself, how come only he ever heard the yelling? How come he ever worried about Junior, besides Junior's friends, of course. Marvin, Rose, Woody, or Shrek ever heard anything. Not even Jeffy checked.

He noticed Junior always wearing some sort of jacket to school. Was this the reason why? Chef PeePee could've sworn he'd never seen any major bruises when Junior had only his short-sleeved shirt. Then again, Bowser would have him distracted in the kitchen a lot.

“Come on, Junior, let's go get you cleaned up.” Chef PeePee said, taking Junior to the bathroom.

He wet a paper towel and wiped the blood from Junior's nose, and dirt and grime from the shoe Bowser used to beat Junior.

“Are you hungry at all, Junior?” The chef asked once he was done cleaning him up. Junior nodded. “Go put on some clean clothes and… I'll take and get you a happy meal or something.” He said, wincing at the boy's nose-blood-stained white T-shirt.

Surprisingly, instead of jumping up and down at the thought of McDonalds, Junior gave the Chef an “Okay,” and walked to his room.

As Junior changed, Chef PeePee got the car started. He wasn't too worried about Bowser finding out since he knew Charleyyy was still going to be on for another few hours. Charleyyy was the only thing that kept Bowser sane and was also probably the only thing he truly loved.

It was heartbreaking to Chef PeePee that a man could love a show more than his own son. Though, it kept him away from Junior, which was both a good and bad thing. It made it so that Junior was unsupervised most of the time, which forced Chef PeePee to watch him all day. But Junior's injuries would've been worse if not for it being Charleyyy time, Chef PeePee’s too. They were both somewhat thankful for the TV show, even if it’s humor wasn’t really their style.

After a few minutes, Junior made it out to the car. He decided to sit in the backseat, or more so lay down. He looked utterly exhausted. He had thrown on a pair of sweatpants, another white t-shirt, and of course, a jacket.

“Chef PeePee…” He groaned once they started their drive to McDonald's.

“Yes, Junior?” The chef answered.

“My head hurts. I feel kinda dizzy.” He said, rubbing his head, particularly a mark on his forehead.

“I know, Junior. Just stay laid down. I'll get you an aspirin when we get home.” Chef PeePee told him. He knew he would need one, too. Bowser's kick to the gut still hurt. He hoped nothing was broken. It was not like he could get help. He was too poor for that.

The chef finally made it to McDonald's after a while. He had to pay the $3.12 out of his own pocket since Junior didn't get the money from his dad, and definitely wasn't planning to. Chef PeePee didn't mind though, he knew Junior had been through a lot that morning, he sure had too.

Once the two got home, and Chef PeePee woke up Junior, who had fallen asleep in the back seat, they both made their way upstairs. The chef got him and Junior an aspirin, an extra one for Junior, then they both laid on their bunk beds to take a nap.

Junior decided to check his phone before falling asleep. It was filled with messages from Joseph, Cody, and even a few from Jeffy, asking him where he was and why he wasn't at school. He texted them all and lied he was sick. He didn't want them to call someone, and his dad get mad and recreate what happened this morning, but worse. Cody and Joseph responded with their condolences, while Jeffy responded with “You lucky fucker. Class blows ass tdy, I'm about to throw my fuckin desk 💀.” Junior replied with a “You should tbh, that'd be funny. Have Joseph record it if you do 👍” before turning his phone off and lying his head on his pillow.

Meanwhile, Chef PeePee laid there still, not having a screen to distract him. His stomach still hurt, but he felt the medicine starting to take effect. He let out a quiet sigh of relief as the pain numbed.

“Hey Chef PeePee, my head hurts less now. What about you?” Junior asked, leaning over the railing on the top bunk, checking if his bunkmate was awake.

“Yeah, nothing hurts too bad now.” The chef answered, blankly staring at the mattress above him.

“Does… does my dad ever do stuff like that to you?” Junior stuttered, nervous to ask the Chef that question.

The chef took a moment to choose his words. “Well… kind of. Not with shoes, but just his hands.”

“Oh… well, sometimes he uses a stick with me.” Junior mentioned. “But that's only if I'm outside.”

“Have you told anyone?”

“No… I don't want my dad to get mad.” Junior answered, almost like an apology. Chef PeePee found that relatable, in a sense. It's not like he could tell the police, most of them had no idea what they were doing, and Brooklyn T Guy, the most competent cop in Chef PeePee’s opinion which isn't saying much, is on vacation. He didn't know how the other ones would handle him snitching on Bowser about the abuse he and Junior received, especially since Bowser is a good liar when he needs to be.

Chef PeePee ended up falling asleep before Junior, and when he woke up, he found Junior sleeping right beside him, clutching a small stuffed animal from the dollar store he had gotten for his birthday. He noticed tears at the boy's eyes as he held the toy for dear life.

Fernando has known for a long time that he needed to get out of this place. But now he realized 2 more things.

It needed to be soon,

And,

He needed to find a way to take Junior with him and away from this hellhole.

Chapter 21: Luis the babysitter: the aftermath

Summary:

What actually happened behind the scenes...

https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxf2t8RnFA6JEaqSeUr_5y-bG6Q3YAtwdo?si=EWL2o0pdWLm9k8l7 sml animated scares me

Chapter Text

After Brooklyn Guy got all the details from the video Jeffy took, along with Marvin's description, he went downstairs and out the door to find Luis.

Well, that's what the Wilfred couple thought anyway.

Instead, the officer went downstairs into the kitchen to meet with Chef PeePee, who was cleaning up ‘Luis's’ mess. The Italian finished putting the broken glass in the trash when Brooklyn approached him.

“It worked.” He said.

Chef PeePee looked at the officer and sighed. “Thank god. I'm glad he's finally gone. Now the fans won't expect him to come back for a while, and I actually had a reason to clean these plates up.”

“Yeah, I know right?”

“By the way, how'd you plan all this? Jeffy recording everything, then Marvin and Rose being mad?” The chef asked curiously.

“Well, once you called me laughing about Marvin asking you to be a babysitter, and how he was super desperate, I knew that Luis could be a possible candidate for the job once you turned it down. So, before I went to my job, I gave Jeffy 20 bucks to make Luis look bad, and that idiot said yes. Then, I stalled his parents long enough so that he'd have enough evidence for Marvin to be really mad at Luis. So mad that he'd never want to call him for anything EVER again.”

Chef PeePee listened in awe, his eyes widening at each shocking detail. “Wow… You must've thought really hard about that. I didn't think you could be such a… genius.”

Brooklyn shrugged. “Well, in canon I have like a million college degrees, so that kinda checks out.” He said. “Besides, even if it wasn't Luis, it'd make a pretty entertaining video.”

“True that.” Chef PeePee agreed. The two paused as they heard someone coming down the stairs. Thankfully, it was only Jeffy coming to collect his payment. Brooklyn Guy knew that and handed him the bill.

“If you want me to destroy the house more in exchange for cash, I will gladly do dat. This was fun.” Jeffy said.

“Yeah, that might be a while. I don't like cleaning up after Braxton and his wife as it is.’ Chef PeePee said. Jeffy shrugged and went back upstairs to do God knows what while the two men stayed in the kitchen.

The chef searched his brain for some sort of conversation starter to break the silence. “So…” He started. “Have any plans for the rest of the night?”

“Well, not really no. What are you thinking?” Brooklyn answered.

“I don't know, but I just want to get out of this house tonight. I've been cooped up in here for so long I feel like a caged bird.” Chef PeePee complained.

“I feel you.” Brooklyn Guy agreed. “I'd recommend another guy's night, but Simmons has night duty and Marvin is probably still mad at me for the piggy thing. Though we could try and set up another guy's night video. We could add Braxton too to spice things up.”

“Him? Really?” The chef groaned. “Fine. As long as I don't have to pay for anything. I'm broke as it is.”

—----

New video sucked but good opportunity to write more ‘Marvin Remembers’ type content

I really hope Luis appears again he's silly
Hopefully they give him an actual personality too

Anyways, ima go now

But before I do, I just wanna say that runaways will be coming out sometime next week! I would release it now but I wrote everything on docs and it's exhausting to copy and paste It from docs to wattpad on my phone. I would do it on my laptop but it's at my grandma's house and I'm at my mom's until Tuesday so :/ yea

Chapter 22: Junior and Cody- Junior takes one of those sketchy quizzes and goes aaa

Chapter Text

Junior stared at his phone in confusion. He'd been on one of those internet rabbit holes again, and this time he landed on one of those “Am I gay?” Quizzes. This one didn't tell him he was gay though, it said…Bisexual?

“The hell is a Bisexual…? I thought it was just gay and straight.” Junior questioned out loud. He has a girlfriend, wouldn't that make him straight? He typed ‘what dose bisexual meen’ in the search bar. He scoffed at Google correcting his bad spelling and scrolled down to the results.

Sexually or romantically attracted to both men and women, or to more than one sex or gender.

Junior read it a few times to try to understand it better. Men and women? Junior had no idea someone could like both genders. He was unsure about this. One quiz that was riddled with sketchy ads couldn't tell him the complete truth, right? One might not, but maybe another would? Junior searched for more sexuality quizzes and took the top few.

You are bi!

You are 64% gay!

Bisexual is you!

You aren't completely straight!

57% gay? Not completely straight? Was it true? Was he really… bisexuality? Half gay… did that mean he would get half the bullying Cody gets for being fully gay? Junior's mind was racing. He didn't even know what being bisexwoah was until like 20 minutes ago. Now he was contemplating everything.

He needed a second opinion, so he went to his contacts and reluctantly called the person who knew most about this type of thing.

It only rang twice before the person on the other line answered. “Hey Junior. What's up?”

“Hey Cody.” Junior greeted. “I… have a question about something I'm confused about.”

Junior heard Cody sigh. “Junior, I'm not giving you the homework answers again. I told you to work through them on your own before pestering me.”

“That's not what I'm confused about…” Junior said. Cody was now intrigued instead of annoyed. “Do you know what ‘bisexual’ is?”

Cody paused, which slightly scared Junior. The nerd waited a few seconds before responding. “Yes… Why are you asking? You could've just googled it, y’know.”

Junior let out a breath before responding. “How do you know if you are… it?”

“Well, if you like both girls and guys, then it's perfectly appropriate to label yourself as that.” Cody told him.

“Oh…” Junior thought to himself. He knew he liked girls, he had a girlfriend for peeps sake. But guys… He had caught himself staring at some guys before, mostly ones who were shirtless or who had fluffy hair… or ones with soft eyes… and the hair-

“Uh, Junior? Are you still there?” Cody asked, running Junior's train of thought off its rails.

“Yeah, I am.” Junior said, startled by Cody suddenly talking again. “Anyways, uh, thanks for clearing that up for me.”

“No problem.” The call was then silent. Neither of the two knew how to continue it. Junior's mind was still racing, and Cody was just plain confused. “Are… are you bisexual?”

Junior's heart bounced a little. “Uh- Well I…” Junior thought again, thinking back to all the times he caught himself staring yet thought nothing of it. “I might be? I don't know. I took one of those quizzes you get on your YouTube feed sometimes and it kinda made me realize some stuff.”

Cody was silent, his heart pounding yet not hard enough to be too noticeable. He never expected this kind of thing from Junior. Junior, the guy who would always tease Cody about his sexuality and who would always belittle Ken any chance he could. Him… be bisexual?

“I just called because I needed a second opinion. I’ll let you go now.” Junior said, ready to press the red button on the call screen.

“Wait!” Cody yelped, making Junior put the phone back up to his ear. “Thanks for confiding in me. I get you’re probably nervous. Trust me, I was too when I realized.”

“Oh… Uh, you’re welcome? And, thanks for listening. Just please don’t tell Joseph. I don’t want him teasing me for it.” Junior said. “Actually, just keep it a secret for now.”

Cody giggled. “No problem. Just be cautious the next time you say anything about Ken…”

“Oh great. You gonna make me rub his plastic feet or something?” Junior groaned jokingly.

“Nice idea, I’ll save that one for later.” Cody said playfully.

 The two made a few more jokes before hanging up for the night, Cody having to do chores and Junior about ready to conk out. Before Junior went to sleep, he had a thought.

‘Maybe being bisexual isn’t so bad…’

Chapter 23: SML Movie: Penelope’s Late Easter!

Summary:

Brookie is good kitty

Chapter Text

Takes place April 23rd 2025 (this was meant to be finished sooner, but I forgor)

Penelope got home and went straight up to her room after giving her step-mom a wave. She had been bored the entire weekend since the Easter Bunny had died, and Santa wasn't replacing him very well. She was happy to even go to school, which is saying something even for her.

She got on her laptop to Google her math homework because she decided she wasn't quite ready for college-level calculus yet. As she was finishing the final problem, her phone rang. It was Junior. She picked up quickly and put the phone to her ear with a smile.

“Hey Junior! What's up?” She asked.

“Hey Penelope. Nothing much, just decided to check in and see what you were doing. I've been so bored these last couple of days.” Junior said.

“I have been too. I just finished my homework, and now I have literally nothing to do.”

Junior sighed. “Hopefully next year, there's a new Easter Bunny. I know I'll be like 17 then, but I might get a few eggs.”

“Yeah, same here. When I lived with my mom, we'd wait until Easter was over, and then we'd go to Wal-Mart and see what was on sale. Then we'd have a nice Easter dinner together while watching TV or listening to music.” It was Penelope’s turn to sigh. “I miss that.”

“Yeah, that sounds like it would be fun. Normally, my dad just gives me money to make my own Easter basket or makes Chef PeePee do it. Then me and my friends and I would go hunt for eggs around the neighborhood until sundown, then we'd eat Chef PeePee’s burnt Mac and cheese. Though, this year, I think my dad just kinda forgot, and Chef PeePee is way too busy.” Junior said.

“I think my dad forgot too. He didn't even give me a card or anything. I get he was busy with work, but at least saying ‘Happy Easter’ would be nice.” Penelope vented.

Brooklyn Guy, who was overhearing everything from outside Penelope’s door, suddenly felt pretty bad. Not just for his daughter, but even Junior, too. He'd come to his daughter's room to see what restaurant she wanted takeout from, but he ended up leaving sadder.

He trudged down the stairs and sat on the couch with a frown. Karen came to sit next to him and sensed his sad mood. “Aw, what's wrong, Boiney?”

Brooklyn sighed. “I'm a shit dad.”

“What do you mean? What happened?”

“Well, Penelope used to have these awesome Easter weekends with her mom, but this year I just… forgot? I don't know, but she wasn't very happy with me.” Brooklyn Guy sulked.

“Well, Easter was only yesterday. Maybe you can make it up to her today?” Karen suggested.

Brooklyn thought about it for a few moments, his face slowly lighting up. He definitely could do it. All he had to do was get a few things from the store, hide some eggs, pray Karen doesn't burn dinner, and do the unthinkable and invite Junior over for it.

He told Karen his plan, and she was fully on board. She started to prepare dinner while Brooklyn ran to Wal-Mart. Luckily, some things were already on-sale. He grabbed some plastic eggs and a cheap bag of candy to fill them.

The next stop was a basket for Penelope and a small one for Junior. He got Penelope a fluffy, baby blue rabbit and a small green Dino for Junior. He didn't know his daughter's boyfriend too well, but he knew from Valentine's Day that he really, really, liked dinosaurs.

He then got them a little bit of candy and then looked for something Penelope would love. He racked his brain for something she was obsessed with. Something she would go crazy over. And then he found it.

A radio in the shape of an egg, and right next to it, an Eminem CD.

Brooklyn didn't know if Penelope was too into CDs, but if not, the radio is still something she'd like, right? He put it in the cart and went to buy everything.

On the way home, he stopped by Junior's house. He knew that asking Penelope to invite him over would be awkward, so he took it into his own hands. He put his cop uniform on and went to the door. He rang the doorbell, and Chef PeePee answered.

“Oh, hello officer!” The chef said, surprised.

“Hey PeePee, I need to borrow your kid for a little while.”

“My… kid?”

“Junior, that kid you babysit or something.” Brooklyn said. “I need him for a few hours.”

Chef PeePee groaned before calling the ginger to the door. “If he gets fined for something, give it to his dad or something. I'm too broke to pay for it.”

Junior came to the door and froze at the sight of the cop. Brooklyn told Junior to come with him and thanked the chef. He was surprised by how easy the whole thing was, but also very thankful.

Meanwhile, Junior was shaking like a leaf. What did he do? He hadn't stolen from the gas station in a long while, or smoked weed, or done anything too bad in at least a week or 2.

“U-uh, so… where are you taking me?” Junior choked out.

“You'll see in a sec.” The officer told him, turning on the street his house was on. Junior recognized this road.

“Are you taking me to see your daughter?” Junior beamed slightly, a small smile forming.

“Yes, I am. Just keep her distracted for a while, and don't do anything funny. Teen pregnancies aren't cheap.” Brooklyn said, pulling into the driveway. He got out of the car and let Junior inside. “Penelope! Come down here!”

Penelope heard her dad call her down and groaned. She slowly got up from her bed and dragged herself down the stairs. Her face lit up when she saw Junior, but then she got scared. “Uh, yeah, dad? Why is Junior here?”

“For dinner, of course.” Brooklyn Guy said with a smile. Penelope still didn't look at ease. “It's almost done. You two can hang out until it's ready. I have to go do something.” He then walked out the door to go hide the eggs while Junior and Penelope just stood there.

The two lovebirds went up to Penelope’s room to discuss what just went on. Junior looked around Penelope’s room in awe since this was the first time he'd seen it. After a lot of speculating, dinner was ready.

The table looked nice. Karen made ham, eggs, dinner rolls, baked mac and cheese (which Junior was very excited about), green beans, and an apple pie for dessert. Brooklyn and Karen were already sitting down, so the two teens took their seats as well.

“Dig in, we've got plenty!” Karen said with a wide smile. Junior and Penelope gave a nervous smile to each other before also getting some food.

Dinner went surprisingly well. No drama or arguments started, and Brooklyn even complimented Karen's cooking. There wasn't too much conversation happening, but there didn't need to be. It was a comfortable silence.

After everyone finished eating, Brooklyn led them all outside into the yard. There were eggs scattered everywhere. Some were in easy places, like in the grass or in a small bush. Others were in trees and on top of fences. Penelope and Junior were amazed, their jaws dropping in awe.

“Dad…” Penelope mumbled, still staring into the yard. “This is amazing!”

“It is! Thanks for inviting me, sir.” Junior added.

“No problem. I didn't feel like having a boring Easter this year.” Brooklyn said sheepishly, blushing with happiness. “Go wild, kids.”

The two teens ran out and started gathering eggs. They got a friendly competition going; who could collect the most eggs. Penelope had a good start, but Junior was able to climb the trees to get the hard ones. Ultimately, he just barely won.

As a prize for winning, Brooklyn gave him his small basket first. Junior squealed in excitement, absolutely loving the dinosaurs. Penelope got hers next, which she equally loved. She was especially happy anout the radio and the CD. Penelope felt like her dad actually cared, which didn't happen as commonly as she wanted.

Brooklyn took Junior home afterward, Penelope coming along while Karen cleaned everything up. Penelope gave her boyfriend a small kiss on the cheek as he left, which Brooklyn forced himself to be fine with. The two were then alone in the car, only accompanied by awkward silence.

Penelope fidgeted with her hands while her father drove. She was in the front seat now, staring out the passenger window. She wanted to talk to her dad but had no idea how to start. Thankfully, Brooklyn started the conversation.

“Did ya have fun today?” He asked.

“Yeah, I did. Thanks for setting that all up and even inviting Junior, too.” Penelope answered.

Brooklyn shrugged. “It was no problem.”

The car went back to being quiet again. Brooklyn pulled into the driveway, and then Penelope asked what had been on her mind the whole time.

“Why did you do all of this?”

Brooklyn froze. He didn't know how to respond. He didn't want to admit that he was eavesdropping on her, but also didn't want to lie. Though, he could work around the lie. He's done that at his jobs for years now.

“I just… I haven't been doing much for the holidays recently, and especially not for you. I felt bad, so that's why I did all this.”

Penelope was amazed, surprised, and even happy. She hadn't felt positively about her dad in… well, a long time. For the first time in forever, she hugged him.

Brooklyn was heavily caught off guard. He almost thought he was being attacked until he actually looked at his daughter. He hadn't felt any actual physical affection in a long time. He felt tears pool in his eyes, and he hugged back.

Overall, it was a pretty good late Easter.

Chapter 24: Sml movie: Junior's mother's day race!

Notes:

It's mother's day in California still so technically this isn't late!!!! (Chilly vlog ahh excuse T_T)

Chapter Text

Junior sat in the kitchen, waiting for Chef PeePee to come back from the store with his cosmic brownies. He was lonely all morning, since his friends were busy with mothers day stuff. Even Joseph, who hired a homeless guy to be his mom for the day.

Braxton had hardly ever talked to Junior about his mom. Whenever he asked Braxton would get defensive, and say that Junior wasn't grateful enough for the father he already had. This year, he had a stepmom, but he hardly ever saw her. She was always in his dad's room doing God knows what.

Junior heard footsteps behind him, and turned to see Guatalupe. His stepmother. She was looking around the kitchen, until she noticed Junior.

“Oh, hello Junior, have you seen your daddy- I mean, dad's Chef anywhere? Ge was supposed to get me something special from the store.” She asked.

“Nope. He's not back yet.” Junior replied, still slouching on the counter. Guatalupe noticed how sad he looked.

“Are you okay, Junior? I know we haven't talked much, but you don't look very happy right now.” She said, approaching the boy.

Junior debated on telling her anything. Like she had mentioned, they barely talked to each other. But also, she had a son too. Maybe she'd understand?

“I uh… I'm just kinda bummed out since it's Mother's Day, and as you know, I don't have a mom.”

Guatalupe's expression shifted, and her motherly instinct kicked in. She came closer to Junior. “I'm sorry, Junior.” She told him. “Hey, I know I wont replace your mother, but that doesn't mean you can't spend Mother's day with me.”

Junior perked up. “Really? But, don't you have to get back to my dad?”

“He can wait for now. Come on, what would you like to do?” Guatalupe asked, smiling.

Junior smiled back, an idea popping into his head.

“Wow, I've never seen an American go-kart track before!” Guatalupe said in awe, scanning the scenery.

The go-kart track was a place Junior and his friends have always wanted to go. Sadly, you needed a parent to get in if you were under 18. Cody's parents thought it was too dangerous, Joseph doesn't have parents, Braxton was ‘too busy’, and Chef PeePee was actually too busy.

But now that Guatalupe was here, Junior could actually get in. So that's exactly what they did.

“Are you ready to race, Junior?” Guatalupe teased, getting into her go-kart that conveniently matched her dress.

Junior got sat down in his green and orange kart. “Heck yeah!”

The countdown started, and once it hit 1, the two slammed on the gas. The track was just a simple oval shape, so it wasn't as challenging as rainbow road or coconut mall or smth like that idk I haven't played Marvin Kart in like 2 years.

Junior got ahead at first, but Guatalupe quickly passed him since she was in the lane closest to the side. Junior pressed on the gas as hard as he could, but he only went a little faster.

By the start of the second lap he was still behind. Guatalupe was well ahead, but to the ginger's advantage, she was out of the fast lane. He turned to the lane, and slowly but surely got closer.

The finish line was vastly approaching. Junior didn't think he'd pass his stepmother in time, but he wasn't going to give up hope. Not yet. He leaned forward, hoping to get an extra speed boost. Guatalupe noticed, and leaned herself forward. She knew Junior was catching up. It was inevitable. The only thing she could rely on now is time.

Junior was right next to Guatalupe as the two went across the finish line. The two stopped, and looked at the worker who was spectating. He told them he had no idea who won, shrugged, and told them their time was up.

Junior got out of the kart along with his stepmom and went back to the car. “That was pretty awesome. Even if none of us won, it was still really fun.” Junior said.

“I agree. It's been a long time since I've been out having a good time. Asanji is always working and your dad likes to stay home instead. I'm glad we could do this.” Guatalupe replied.

“Me too. Thanks for taking me here and giving me a good Mother's Day experience.”

“No problem, Junior.”

Chapter 25: LGBTQ+ Hcs

Chapter Text

Happy pride month! (Taking a risk saying this to the sml community [joke])

To celebrate, here's some of my lgbtq+ Hcs for everyone!
Some of these I've already said before but uhh well fuck you I'm compiling them all here too because yay gay month!!!

Junior- Closeted Bisexual
He definitely denies it but cmon the hints to him being somewhat gay are definitely there

Joseph- DemiRomantic
My hc is that it takes him a while to get attached to people, including in a romantic way. Though, it's not impossible

Cody- Gay
Yeah, not even an hc is very obvious

Timmy- Gay
Same reason as Cody. Also I'd say that Susie would be bisexual if she was older and appeared more (I think she's like 9)

Marvin- Bicurious or possibly bisexual
Idk if he's fully bisexual because he seems mostly into women but he doesn't seem too opposed to advances by Brooklyn/Chef PeePee in a few videos

Brooklyn- Pansexual
He clearly doesn't care about who he's with as long as it isn't with Karen lmao
Pankin Guy (I'm so fuckin funny)

Simmons- Bisexual
Bro loves Brooklyn and his mom

Chef PeePee- Pansexual
He just wants someone to love him no matter who :( no gender preference just wants love

Bully- Demi AroAce
Same boat as Joseph except it's more rare for him to connect with someone and actually care About them.

Annabelle- Demisexual greyromantic
Again same as Bully but has more ability to feel romantic feelings (though sometimes Lacks them hence her being greyromantic Instead of fully allo)

Braxton- Bicurious/Bisexual
I think hes Probably Bicurious because he's mostly into women but also obsesses over Chef PeePee a lot soooo uh I mean he also might be just bisexual idfk ima just say He's Bicurious because it's my book

Anyway, I think that's all for now. Might be updated if I realize I forgot someone but Ye

BTW I will be making pride art for these guys Too :) for my ao3 readers, see the wattpad version of this story or go to my Instagram to see the drawings: tgg_art
