The Perfect Day

Summary:

Takes place in 6x06 (Secrets and Lies) but what if Tim never broke up with Lucy, instead he proposed to her, in the parking lot where he first asked her out!

Chapter 1: Dress shopping, cake testing and all of the above

Chapter Text

“Lucy Chen, I never knew this day would come where I’d be down on one knee proposing to my boot but here I am. Since the day I laid eyes on you, something struck my heart and I couldn’t figure out what it was. Days went into months and months to years and now here I am. You make me the happiest man alive and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, if you say yes of course. Will you marry me?” Tim said as he gazed into Lucy's tear filled eyes. She remembers his words like it was just yesterday.

Instead, today marked 3 months they’ve been engaged. 3 months since she walked out of the precinct ready to go home and take a nice bath when she seen over 15 people standing around her car and in the middle was her loving boyfriend, Tim.

3 months since she ugly cried in front of all her friends and coworkers.

3 months since Angela, Nyla and Bailey and been non stop bugging Lucy about dresses and cakes and venues. She was already getting sick of it and she hadn’t even start wedding planning yet.

She was alone, Tim worked late tonight - Sergeant stripes definitely had their privileges but they also had their downfalls.

Her phone pinged

She read the notification.

Chens Bridesmaid Team

Angie: “Hey Lu, are you home or are you hanging with Bradford at the station?”

Tam: “nah she's home. Probably watching top chef or sleeping. I’m in my room, I can go check!”

Angie: “No worries tam, me and Nyla are coming over.”

Angie: “Baileys going to come later on, she just needs to finish her shift”

Lucy rolled her eyes, why even bother answering. Since the engagement, Angela made a group chat with basically every girl they knew. She figured that one of them would be her maid of honor and the other would be her bridesmaids.

Tamara barges from her room “The girls are coming over, in case you didn’t see the messages.”

Lucy groans “I saw, sadly.” Tamara chuckles.

When the two lady’s arrives, Lucy was mindlessly scrolling through her phone on ClipTok.

“We’re here!” Announces Angela, letting herself in with the spare key.

“Oh, hey! Here have a seat” Lucy says, getting up from the sofa.

They both make themselves comfortable and eventually Tamara eventually emerges from her room.

”So you can assume why we’re here” Nyla says. “Weddings are not easy, especially when the man isn’t one to help, now thankfully my wedding wasn’t quite planned but everything went fabulous, considering I was about 14 months pregnant” Nyla says sarcastically.

Angela grins, and then frowns “my wedding was shit. Straight up shit. And that is why, we’re here for you Lu. We’re going it make it the most memorable day ever, no deaths or kidnappings or pregnancy’s!” She pauses “unless you are already pregnant then I suggest we start thinking about this quicker”

Lucy's eyes widen “God no.. not yet”

Angela lets out a laugh “technically we were both pregnant at our weddings.” She looks at Nyla, who gives her a small nod in return.

”Oooh Luce who’s your Maid of Honor??” Tamara says eagerly.

”umm actually… I was thinking, Angela..?” She says softly, not wanting to hurt Nyla’s feelings.

“YESSS!! Oh my gosh! Luce I didn’t think you would ask me! That changes everything” Angela says with a lot of excitement in her voice.

Nyla laughs, Lucy looks at her “please don’t be mad.”

”Oh sweetie, please I’m not mad, let Lopez have that responsibility, please it’ll save me from wrinkles”

Lucy sighs “thank you, but don’t worry. Your the first bridesmaid”

Sadly for a Lucy and Tim, it had only been a few weeks since the evening Nyla and Angela barged into her house, but those weeks felt like the most longest and excruciatingly longest months, scratch that, years.

8 months until the wedding. 8 months 21 days to be exact.

As a couple they had both figured out who was going to be apart of their party.

Angela was Lucy's Maid of Honor, followed by Nyla, Celina and Tamara as her 3 bridesmaids.

Wesley was Tim’s Best Man, followed by Nolan paired with Nyla, Aaron paired with Celina, and Henry paired with Tamara.

Leah, Nyla’s daughter was their flower girl. While Jack, Angela’s son was their ring boy.

And basically that’s all they had planned. 8 months till the wedding and neither of them had their suit or dress, they didn’t have a cake, how many people were coming or where they were even getting married.

Angela kept pushing Lucy to start looking at dresses but she couldn’t bring herself to do so. They weren’t even sure what type of wedding they were having.

After a few minor set backs, the happy soon to be married couple decided they were just going to have a small wedding. No family. Lucy’s parents didn’t even know she was engaged; they never approved of her job so what would make them approve of her love life. Tim had Genny. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to invite her, hell he’s glad she started talking to him again and became apart of his life, but she also barley knows Lucy. The wedding was going to be a small one, 20-40 people. Nothing too big.

“Finally” Angela sighed. She had already threatened Wesley with a divorce if he doesn’t get his ass in the game and be a proper Best-Man to Tim.

“Now that the amount is settled, we need to go dress shopping” Angela takes Lucy’s hand and drags her out the door.

“Wesley I swear to god, I will track your phone and if you don’t take Tim to look at suits, lord help you. Tamara let’s go” Angela says, her voice stern. Wesley was petrified of Angela when she was like this so he quickly nods.

“Umm Tim I think we should go look at some suits…” Wesley says.

Tim nods and gets up, he too was secretly scared of Angela. She’s capable of stuff that no one else is capable of. All the threats she previously used towards Tim weren’t no joke.

At the dress shop, Lucy was overwhelmed. She had Angela recommending a new dress every 10 mins, Tamara quite frankly couldn't seen to care, but she did notice that Lucy was getting overwhelmed; it wasn’t hard to tell when she got nervous, she would fidget with her fingers and act all skittish. Nyla had brought Leah with her so she was focused on getting a dress for her.

As Lucy sat in the changing rooms with what seemed like the 8th dress on her body, he couldn’t help but let out a few tears. She wanted to call someone like Angela had called Tim when she was the overwhelmed pregnant bride trying on dresses, but she couldn’t exactly call Tim this time around, so she went for the next best person and texted Tamara.

”hey tam, can you come in.. SOS its an emergency”

Tamara glanced at her phone and sent a thumbs up emoji. She looked to Angela “I'm going to go check on Luce..”

She got up and walked to the changing rooms before Angela could say anything.

”What's wrong?” She asked.

Lucy shrugged "This is all really getting to me, I'm so grateful for Angela's support but its a little too much.. I have so many dresses in this tiny room, I cant even see the walls anymore" she lets out a little sad laugh.

"I know. I could totally tell you were stressed" she paused "What type of dress are you looking for? Puffy? Tight? Lets do this part, just you and me" Tamara says as she takes Lucy's hand and gives it a tight squeeze.

Lucy chuckles "Oh definitely a big puffy one, that's been my dream wedding dress since I was a little kid"

"Good start" Tamara looks around the room at the other dresses Angela had brought in "How about this one?" She pulls out a lacey puffy dress with long sleeves.

"Ugh babes, I'm getting married in the middle of August.. Long sleeves are a big no, plus I think I want a V-neck.."

Tamara giggles "ah you wanna show some cleavage I see." Lucy scoffs.

"Definitely not. Not a deep V-neck.. oh goshhh tamara" she shakes her head at just the thought of the idea.

Lucy had tattoos. It wasn't a secret anymore, especially to Tim and all the other guys who'd seen her naked. Most of her tattoos though, were covered on a day-to-day basis.

The only two everyone basically knew about was the one on her neck and her DOD tattoo. She had one in between her breasts and one on her back, that strictly only Tim and maybe, just maybe Chris knew of. So the idea of having a deep V-neck dress where everyone could see her breast tattoo wasn't a really pleasing idea; she'd like to keep whatever dignity she had left safe instead..

5 months 13 days until the big day. Thanks to Tamara, Lucy had her dress picked out and Tim had his suit. Their colors were going to be a baby blue, it was their color after all.

They had went Cake Tasting the week prior and finally decided on Raspberry White Chocolate. Tim and Lucy both loved the taste and overall just how the cake looked. They ordered a small cake, only enough to feed less then 100 people as their wedding wasn't going to be big at all.

Lucy had kind of conned Tim into inviting his sister after all, she said its the least he could do; and so he did.

Needless to say, Genny was overwhelmed when she heard and she made it clear to Tim that he was the best brother ever and that she was on the next plane out with her boys.

Angela and Nyla took care of the flowers, light blue and white flowers were decked out everywhere in the hall, on every table there was a nice big bouquet and hanging from the walls and table corners were.

Quite frankly, Lucy didn't want to know how much the girls spent on flowers but one thing she did know, was that it was over 2k for sure.

3 months 8 days. At this point, everything was done.

The bridesmaids had their dresses, the groomsmen had their suits, the flowers were brought, the venue was chosen, the cake was being made as we speak, the flowers were paid for, the flower girl had her dress, the ring boy has his suit and most importantly, Tim had his suit and Lucy had her dress.

Now all they had to do was wait.

Wait; that word is so funny. You do all this planning and spend all this money just to wait. Wait until the happiest day of your life where you kiss this man whose now known as your husband, like you haven't been kissing him this whole time, then you sigh a few pieces of paper and suddenly your married to this man for the rest of your life (hopefully).

Those were the words going through Lucy's head as she counted down the days until they exchanged their "I Do's".

Every time she passed Tim in the station and he gave her that look, or every time he texted her or went over to her apartment, the days felt like they were getting longer and father away.

Gosh, she just couldn't wait to kiss this man for the first time being his wife. She couldn't wait to carry his babies and grow old and senile together.

Lucy just couldn't wait any longer until August 15th.

Chapter 2: Are we ready…?

Chapter Text

This is it.

In a little over 24hrs, she's going to be standing in a church filled with all her friends as she stands Infront of the man who stole her heart on day one.

Tamara knocks on her door, its August 13th and its very late. She wants to go to bed and sleep until the 15th but instead she clears her throat "Come in."

"Heyyy I hope you have a bag packed.." Tamara says as she stands under Lucy's doorframe with a small knapsack strapped over her shoulders.

Lucy sits up and stares at her "Wait.. what?" she pauses "Tamara I am getting married in less then 30 hours, this isn't the time to go road tripping."

Tamara giggles "No silly its for your Bachelorette party... at Angela's house. And Tim is having his stag at the bar, because well Angela took the house"

Lucy forgot all about those pre-wedding parties. She had been so busy actually planning the wedding (due to popular demand) that a bachelorette party slipped her mind. Luckily though, Angela didn't forget... I mean, come on, how could Queen Detective over here forget anything.

"Oh..! Right.. um let me pack, it'll be quick I swear" Lucy bolts out of bed and grabs a small bag "wait.. what exactly am I packing for?" she asks, turning to face Tamara.

"Well there's going to be drinks, and don't drive yet.. Your def going to get drunk and wont be able to drive, so the plan was to spend the night at her place. Tim instead will go to his place with his men or just sleep...at the bar? I'm not sure..."

"Ah.. right.." Lucy says sheepishly.

Lucy packs her bag, and off the girls go. The next time she steps foot into this apartment of hers, she'll no longer be Ms. Chen, but instead Mrs. Bradford.

Off to Angela's house they go.

Meanwhile Wesley, Aaron, John and Henry all showed up to Tim's house to pull him out from under the blankets at 10pm.

Aaron banged on his front door, hoping he wasn't already in a deep slumber.

Poor Tim jumped when he heard the loud bangs. "What the hell?!" He mumbled to himself.

He rolled out of bed and grabbed an old baseball bat, Police instincts, am I right?

Tim, with the baseball bat raised to his head, walked slowly towards his front door when he spotted a few familiar shadows.

He groaned and shouted "Idiots!" as he opened the door.

All in Unison, the 4 men standing outside shouted "Surprise!" and grabbed Tim (Who was still in his pjs) by the arm, dragging him to the car.

"What the hell?!" he said, fighting against their grip,

"Were taking you to your Bachelor party, man!" Aaron said. Tim groaned, he was hoping they'd all forget about this; but to his surprise, they didn't.

Finally after what felt like an eternity fighting against these 4 men, he finally lost their grip. "Can I at least you know.. maybe change?!?! And hey! Here's a thought.. Lock my front door?"

Nolan nodded and walked Tim back to his front door “hey.. be quick, we don’t have all night.” Tim grunted and walked back inside his lovely peaceful abode.

To his surprise, the party went really good. His coworkers went all out and rented the whole bar for them, their was at least 20 men when they arrived, all whom which Tim knew from the station. He was also surprised when a group of female strippers came out half way through the evening.. Now quite literally Tim didn’t want anything to do with the females. He had eyes for Lucy Chen’s body/figure and Lucy Chen only. But Wesley reassured him that he’s still a free man, and it’s his last day being a free man so to let loose and have a little fun.

Tim nodded, he knew the old saying but he still didn’t feel comfortable touching or even looking at another woman like that, Wesley knew. He was married too and he never ever thought of roaming his eyes around another woman’s body that was Angela. Despite everything, Tim agreed to sneak a few looks here and there, mainly at Aaron though who seemed to love these women.

The remainder of the night was spent getting horribly wasted to where the 20-something men couldn’t even stand straight. All Tim had to think was luckily Sergeant Grey or Lucy weren’t there to witness him, because he would probably loose his job and his soon-to-be-wife.

Once the girls got to Angela's house, everyone was already there.

"Ah nice to see you finally made it to your own party!" Angela said as she opened the door.

Inside the house, was colorful variation of nail polish bottles, face masks, and a big bottle of "Girls Night Out" wine.

"Wow y'all went really out.. I thought it was just going to be something small" Lucy said, quite nervously.

"Ohhh of course not girl!" Bailey exclaimed.

As the night passed on, Lucy got her fingernails and toenails painted in a Light Blue shade to match the bridesmaids dresses. The woman cracked open the bottle of Strawberry wine and Angela each poured them a glass, even Tamara despite her age.

Lucy took a long sigh as her toes dried "I was thinking..." all eyes turned to her.

"I was on Pinterest.. I seen a  picture where this lady put her dead fathers picture on her bouquet and..." she pauses to take a deep breathe, she was kind of nervous on what everyone would think. "I want to put a picture of Jackson and... and Zoe on my bouquet. I wont be throwing it since the wedding is small and its just us so I think it'll be really cute.."

Angela's eyes well with tears. Out of all the ladies in the room, she's the only one who knew Zoe. Tamara, Bailey nor Nyla knew who Zoe was - but they did know who Jackson was.

"I think that's a beautiful idea Luce.. Ill call Grey and see if he can bring a hard drive with some pictures of Zoe. I have a picture of Jackson from when he was my rookie. Ill print them tonight"

In less then an hour, Lucy was holding the two pictures in her hands - when she got her Bouquet the next day she was going to add the pictures so even though Zoe and Jackson weren't there with her on her big day physically, they would always be with her in her heart.

And soon, it all hit her. Came like one big wave of emotions and nobody noticed. Everybody was too busy to notice Lucy slightly shaking and panicking on the corner of the sofa. She was getting married and Jackson wasn't there with her. She knew he would be so proud of her, but he would be teasing her uncontrollably for marrying her T.O. and Zoe, even though she knew Zoe for such a short period of time she was like a mother figure to Lucy. Her own biological parents weren't coming to her wedding, and all she could've literally asked for was Zoe to be there... but she wasn't. On top of everything, the thing that struck her most was the fact that she was getting married tomorrow. After everything she's been through, with Caleb and Chris, hell even Tim, this was the last of it. Tomorrow at this time, she'll be dancing with her husband at a small venue in downtown LA.

By the end of the night, it was now almost 12am, Tim was just getting back to his house with his men.

Despite how drunk and wasted he was he pulled out his phone, and opened his text thread with Lucy, his contact name for her was "Lucy; Hot Pants 💜" because since that one night where he joined Lucy on a UC rescue mission, and that guy called her "Hot Pants" he made it a deal that no one, and he meant no one could call her "Hot Pants" ever again.

"Hey bby. just wanted to say goodnight and I cant wait for tomorrow" He clicked send and shut off his phone, flopping on his bed and immediately passing out.

Lucy's phone pinged and she picked it up. Angela quickly asking who it was, snatched her phone from her and slipped it in a bag.

"Hey that's mine" Lucy said, trying to reach for her phone from Angela's grip.

"Too bad. Technically its past midnight, which means the day of your wedding. So no more contact whatsoever with Tim!"

Lucy groaned but eventually forgot all about it as drunken laughs took over her mood. By 1am, the girls all crashed on the sofa.

And just like that, they were all asleep. When they woke up in a few hours, its going to be all about getting Lucy glammed and dolled up for her big day.

Despite the fact that the happy couple didn't want a pre-wedding party, it was the best night ever.

Chapter 3: I Do

Chapter Text

Lucy woke up bright and early the morning of her wedding, just kidding, she's been up since 4am since she couldn't sleep. Who could ever sleep past 6am on their wedding day.

She was careful and quiet not to wake any of the girls up though, but by 6:35am Angela woke up - right about when she would normally get up to get her kids ready for the day, but her kids weren’t here today; they were with Wesley's mom.

Lucy tried to be quiet when she heard Angela getting out of bed, but miserably failed.

“Lucy.. your up already?” Angela said with a groggy voice. She didn’t expect her to be awake this early, especially not on her big day.

“Mhm.. couldn't sleep. I’ve been up since 4ish” her voice soft and laced with tiredness.

”Why didn't you wake us? Gives us extra time to get you all dolled up!”

Lucy chuckles softly “mhmm… no I don't want or need the extra time.”

Angela gave Lucy that sarcastic look of hers, the look that said i know you don't want it… but you’re getting it anyways. She got out of bed and stretched, walking to the curtains, she ripped them open “Rise and Shine ladies! It’s Lucy's big day today, I have 2 bathrooms in this house; 10mins per each of you and the rest of the day is spent on Miss future Bradford over here”

Nyla and Celina both woke up with no problem. Tamara on the other hand decided she was going to sleep a little bit longer. Angela called Patrice as the ladies went into the bathroom to freshen up. She wanted to make sure Patrice dropped off Jack with Wesley so he still got ready. Leah was already with Nyla anyways.

The plan for Lila (it was Nyla’s week to watch Lila) and Baby girl Wopez was that Bailey was going to watch them throughout the wedding, since Nolan was apart of the party and Bailey wasn’t; she vouched to take the spare kids duty.

Lucy ended up waking up Tamara, that girl can sleep for a century.

Tamara made her way into the bathroom after Celina got out.

By 7am Lucy, Angela, Nyla, Leah, Celina and Tamara were all sitting at Angela's kitchen table staring dead-ass at Lucy.

“I know how to do really good makeup.. I’ve been practicing while watching ClipTok videos!” Tamara says cheerfully. The girls didn’t get a makeup or hair artist to do all that glam, they would figure it out themselves.

“And I completely trust you, Tam” Lucy says. Tamara smiles at her words as she pulls out her phone to find some good videos.

”I mean… I'm pretty good with hair” Nyla pitches in.

Meanwhile, at Tim's place; the men are just waking up, all with a minor hangover.

Henry woke up first, he ended up waking up his dad not too long after. Nolan then made a coffee for them all when Wesleys Cellphone rang. Wesley wasn’t awake yet, so Nolan took it in his own hands to answer.

“Hello? John Speaking!”

“Um hello..? Where is my Wesley?”  A soft female voice comes through. Nolan knew who this was, he met Wesleys mom at Wopez’s wedding.

“Wesley is still asleep Mrs. Evers, But I assume you’re calling about Jack? You can just drop him off now, and baby girl. My wife will be watching baby girl during the wedding. Wesley will be awake soon enough!”

By the time Wesley, Tim and Aaron woke up; Nolan was playing with Jack.

“Heyyy there you guys are” Nolan says cheerfully.

”Dada!!!” Jacks soft small voice comes through.

It was 10am, Bailey had come to pick up Baby Wopez and then she went over to Angela's place and picked up Lila. Tim was dressed and ready. He showered when he woke up, had a small breakfast and popped two Tylenols for the hangover headache he was currently suffering from. The rest of the men were dressed in their suits and they were styling their hair with what felt like 6 bottles of gel… each.

Tim had taken a minute to step into his bedrooms where the rings were being held. He opened the boxes and stared at them, it was honestly surreal that in less then 3hrs, he was going to be getting married to the love of his life.

Aaron walked in on time staring at them rings “What's going on man? Getting cold feet?”

Tim looks up at Aaron’s “N-no.. definitely not. It’s… it’s just surreal, y’know? I never thought id be getting married again after Isabel…”

Aaron nodded, he didn't know much about Tim’s past but he knew bits and pieces of the whole ex wife story.

“I know man, but this is Lucy. She wont ever do what Isabel did to you. Lucy's better.”

At Angela’s place, Lucy was now all glammed up. Tamara did an amazing job on her makeup, and her hair was stunning.

They got all packed up and left their houses.

Tim and his men showed up to the church first, an hour before. Guests were already starting to flood in and it all got real. Lucy showed up about 10mins after Tim did. Both in separate rooms of the church.

Sergeant Grey was going to be giving away Lucy, since her actual parents were going to be apart of the wedding.

As per Tim, Genny asked if she could give him away since their dad wasn’t going to be there. He agreed. He loved his sister more than his parents.

Soon, the small church was filled. Over 30 people sat down, hardly any empty pews remained. After the church they were going to a hall that held 100-150 people - despite them only being 47 people (including the bridal and groom party) it was the smallest they could find.

As the minutes tick closer to 2pm, Lucy paces around the room. She makes a few faces and clutches her stomach over her dress.

Nyla notices and takes action “Woah woah woah.. what’s wrong? Do not tell me your about to puke..”

Everyone turns to Lucy as they hear Nyla’s words, she shakes her head “n-no..” she pauses “maybe…”

Angela grabs Lucy's hair and pulls it back as she clutches over and vomits into the trash, luckily she doesn’t get her dress dirty with puke. Everyone grimaces at the sight.

“What the hell Luce..” Angela says with a hint of worry in her voice.

Lucy shakes her head “pre-wedding jitters I guess…” Angela stares her down.

”Are you sure about that?” She says with a smirk.

“God.. no! Please Ange.. no.. We are just barley getting married, were totally not active or ready for that next chapter of our lives..  Plus I’m not even sure Tim wants to be a dad..”

Nyla pitches in “Oh trust me, he wants kids, Chen”

Lucy hadn’t thrown up anymore. She guesses it was just wedding jitters - nothing more, nothing less.

Lo and behold, it was time. Genny takes Tim's arm and whispers in his ear “I'm so proud of you big bro.. never thought I’d see you walking down the aisle again, yet alone be bringing you down the aisle” a little bit of tears formed in her eyes.

The first time Tim got married, his father walked him down the aisle because he loved his soon to be daughter-in-law, Isabel, so much. This time along, his dad was cut out of Tim’s life and he was generally planning to walk down himself but Genny offered and he knew how much it meant to her.

“Enough Gen.. or you can go sit back down and I’ll walk alone” Tim scoffs at her.

“Why you gonna cry? Seeing your beautiful bride walk down the aisle?”

“Tim Bradford doesn’t cry” he says, his tone harsh.

Arms connected, the sibling duo made their way down the aisle. Genny let him go and sat beside her boys. The duos of the bridesmaid and groomsmen followed shortly after, Tim was standing at the front of the Alter holding back his tears, it was strange.. he never cried and everyone knew that, he didn't even cry when he seen Isabel go down the aisle. So when Angela seen him fighting back tears (more like fighting for his life) she couldn't help but let out a little giggle.

Once the flower girl, Leah and the ring boy, Jack made their way down the aisle and to their respective parents; the music switched up to a more softer romantic tune.

The big brown doors opened up, Wade and Lucy slowly started making their way down the aisle. The first view Tim’s had of Lucy in what felt like forever

It was then when the waterworks started, luckily Wesley was prepared with a handkerchief. Tim took it and wiped his eyes as “awe’s” emerged from the small crowd.

Lucy was smiling hard. She had the biggest grin on her face; like a kid in a candy store. As they reached the alter, Grey turned to her and smiled “Your like a daughter to me Chen, I'm glad to have the honors of giving you away… even if you aren’t my own” he pulls her into a hug.

Lucy walks up the alter, her gaze meets Tim’s “hi…”

“Hi beautiful girl..”

The priest makes his way to the middle of the two and starts his preach "Today were here to celebrate the matrimony between Timothy Bradford and Lucy Chen"

"Timothy, repeat after me: I, Timothy Bradford take Lucy Chen to be my wife, to love and care for her through sickness and health; Forever and ever"

Tim repeats every word slowly and carefully.

The priest smiles, he turns to Lucy "Lucy, repeat after me: I, Lucy Chen take Tim Bradford to be my husband, to love and care for him through sickness and health; Forever and ever"

The same as Tim, Lucy repeats every word slowly and carefully, hand in hand with Tim as they smile at each other. He takes a quick minute to appreciate how beautiful and gorgeous she looks with her hair and makeup done to a brim. He didn't realize how absolutely stunning her dress was, the lacey texture with the mid-breast v-cut, just enough so he seen her breast tattoo.

The priest clears his throat "Timothy Bradford, do you take Lucy Chen to be your lawful wedded Wife?"

Tim nods "I do!"

He takes a minute before slipping the diamond ring on her finger.

"Lucy Chen do you officially take Timothy Bradford to be your lawful wedded Husband?"

Lucy looks up at Tim and grins "I do.." she slips the ring on his finger as well.

"Congrats, you may now kiss your bride!"

Tim wastes no time and puts his lips on Lucy's as he bends her backwards.

Clapping and "Awe's" emerge from the crowd once more.

With that, the Chenford couple was finally married.

Chapter 4: The rest of our lives...Together

Chapter Text

After the official Church wedding, they all went out for a proper celebration at a small hall in Downtown L.A.

Food, wine/liquor , dancing and a lot of pictures later; they finally all went home. Respectively, by the term home, Tim and Lucy thought everyone would go to their own homes... but since everyone was well beyond drunk, they all crashed at Tim's (which was now also Lucy's house - she wasn't going to keep that skanky apartment, Tamara would be moving in with the couple).

It didn't surprise them when everybody started flooding in and crashing for the night in the most weirdest place.

The next morning, or shall we say afternoon (it was 2pm when Angela woke up) she got dressed and decided to make coffee for everyone... she would replace Tim's coffee stash later on, it was fine..!

By 4pm everyone was slowly getting up, Lucy and Tim got up after everyone else and for a second they couldn't really believe they were married, besides the fact they were both in their wedding outfits still.

Grey called Tim (Him and Luna who were the only ones who actually went home. And Bailey; as she had the two kids).

"Sir.." Tim said groggy as he answered the phone. He was sitting in the kitchen amongst everyone else, sipping his coffee.

"Bradford.. enjoying married life I see..!"

Tim chuckled "yes sir. Its the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"Well I assume everyone is there; I just wanted to let y'all know that I booked y'all off for the next 3 days. Besides you and Chen, you guys get 2 weeks as I suppose you'll be going on your honeymoon..."

"Oh really? Thank you sir.. Ill let everyone know!"

Tim gets off the phone with Grey and he lets everyone know. To say the least, everyone was happy they had three days to relax from coping.

"Oh Shit!!" Lucy says.

Tim looks up at her "What's wrong luce?"

"I booked out plane to the Bahamas to leave in 2 days..."

"TWO DAYS?!?!" Tim says out loud.

With that, everyone kind of decided to get up and start leaving. Just incase the couple had their first marriage fight; their friends didn't want to be apart of it.

They weren't going to fight though, Tim was going to make sure this didn't escalate into anything big. He was just in some sort of shock.

"I'm sorry!" Lucy pleaded as everyone but Tamara left. She already had her room set up in Tim's place so she went there instead.

"I don't want to hear it. Bad girlfr- Bad Wifey!" he teased.

She smiled and leaned in to kiss him. He kissed her back.

She was wearing a baggy pair of sweats with a blue oversized t-shirt. He laid his hands on her, wrapping them tightly around her waist.

She let out a soft giggle "Can you believe it? Were married now..."

"I know. I cant wait to spend the rest of our life's together Lu..." He says softly as he lifts her off the ground, she wraps his legs around his waist.

Lucy helped Tim pack his luggage, he insisted that they just bring the one luggage between the two of them but Lucy disagreed saying that she needs all the space possible.

Once they finished his, it was already late so he said that tomorrow they would go to her apartment and pack her stuff. Plus, both her and Tamara had to get their stuff if they were going to officially move in with Tim.

They got in bed together and had some small kissing moments before they drifted off to sleep in each others arms; he was thankful he got to sneak in a bit of quality time, he couldnt keep his eyes (and hands) off her for the past year (I mean who could, its Lucy Chen for crying out loud).

The next morning, Lucy woke up first and got dressed. She then went to wake up Tamara to get ready because they were leaving as soon as Tim woke up.

"Tamara come on sleepyhead. Wake up!"

"Ughhhhh I don't want too... my head hurts!" She says throwing a pillow over her face.

"Oh come on. Plus just think, tomorrow you'll.. oh my god.. you'll be home alone for 2 weeks tomorrow.." Lucy suddenly gets a bit panicked. She never left Tamara alone, despite her being 17 years old.

She was already starting to think of all the things that could go wrong in two weeks "Tam if you don't feel comfortable staying here, you can stay at my apartment.. you know if till being you any peace"

Tamara sits up "Are you kidding me?! I'd rather stay here then that apartment - I get a whole house to myself!"

Lucy lets out a nervous chuckle.

By 9:20am, Tim had woken up and made coffee for him and Lucy. She quickly drank hers and went to wait by the door with Tamara.

"Come on baby! Were leaving tomorrow.. I wanna pack before then!" she says eagerly.

"Lucy calm down. Its 9:32, we have all day..!"

Her pouty face and puppy dogs eyes won her over. Tim sighed, he wasn't going to let this happen all the time.

Next thing he knew, the three of them were on the drive to her apartment.

As they arrived, her landlord said that he got the payment for this months lease and that she can officially move out before next months lease starts.

Tim helped Lucy pack her luggage. He got a little concerned at the amount of Tampons and Pads she was packing for a 2 week vacation.

"Lucy half of your luggage are.. your female products.. how much do you need?"

Lucy laughs "Well it depends baby. I'm not sure when ill start it. I'm already 3 days late but I think the universe is on my side. I begged I wouldn't have it during the wedding. I use about 6-8 of these a day!" She holds up a pad.

His eyes widen "H-how much do you bleed??" He pauses "actually hold off on that, I don't want to hear it"

The three musketeers arrived back at Tim's house.  Tim is lugging in Lucy's luggage and places it by the door with his. Then he goes back out and helps tamara with her stuff; she seemed to pack up everything she owned thinking she was never going to go back to the Apartment.

They ended the night by Tim making hot cocoa for the three of them while Lucy set up the wedding photos on the TV; they were going to scroll through them and put together an album when they got back from the Honeymoon.

All they wanted was a chill evening before they left, and that's exactly what they got.
