Chapter Text

Albert always had the best of things, so obviously, he went to an elite high school. It was a very prestigious academy that hosted an inter school chess tournament every year. They almost always won...every year a different 12th grader would win the prize. This year, Albert's parents insisted he take part, since he was finally in the 12th grade. He was good at chess, no doubt, but he never liked competitions because his opponents were usually no match to him

On the other hand, in a high school that was in the middle of rural York, was Mycroft. He was brilliant, sure, but life didn't throw many opportunities the way of villagers.

Normally the chess tournament of Albert's school- Evengaurd, was restricted to other posh schools, but that year they felt charitable. So an invitation was extended to Mycroft's school- Kane and Thompson's public school. The school insisted he go. They said it'd potentially win the school benefits, and that it would win Mycroft extra credit if he won. 
Mycroft wanted to go to college SO BAD, and he wouldn't be able too without a hell of a lot of scholarships, so...he agreed. 

At the gates of Evengaurd, he felt... Very out of place

(prompt to potentially explore hypocrisies in Albert's thinking, where he may think he's 0 percent classist, but somethings just are conditioned into him, even if he doesn't overtly believe them. Could be an interesting exploration of Albert's character, me thinks, and maybe if they meet again in the future as in canon....) 

(may help Albert to actually befriend those who he's fighting for I guess.)

[Albert started the relationship to get close to Mycroft. Now is withdrawing slowly]

after having a secret relationship with Albert for 6 months, mycroft was starting to notice being neglected of late. He knew that Albert had his whole plan to handle, but they hadn't actually spent time together in forever. He decided to bring it up at work

"Um Hey, Albert, you have a minute to spare?"

[they talk and fix up a date for the evening maybe?]

9:00, and still no sign of Albert....maybe he had something really important to do...more important than Mycroft- obviously! No, there was no point thinking like that! 9:15, Mycroft had gotten quite hungry, and finished his half of the dinner he'd made. 9:30- he figured Albert forgot about their meeting. The other's priorities were clear now. He was halfway through one of the films and halfway through the bucket of ice cream he bought. Sitting on the couch in front of the tv, by 10:00, he fell asleep as the movie played, icecream tub empty.

(can you tell I like making Mycroft suffer?)

(I think this could be an interesting way to address what Albert feels and what he's allowed to as LOC. Of course him using Mycroft was wrong, but he did what he had to as LOC. Maybe the reason he chose to pursue a romantic 'fake' thing is because he has repressed feelings for Mycroft. He wanted to feel what it was like. Selfishly. It's a selfish and shitty thing to do, but hey. These characters aren't perfect, so if you want angst with a sad ending, where they love each other but just...cant? Maybe think of fleshing this out!!)

(If you find a way to make it non angsty it would be interesting too! Maybe it's all a misunderstanding? Tweak it as you like if you write it)

Mycroft as Jayce. 

Albert as Viktor. 

Remember the Tower confinement? The arrest? 

As for why not Caitvi, there's no reason why you shouldn't go for it!! Personally, I don't like Cait, and see her as a direct oppressor and Vi as directly oppressed, but hey! Who doesn't like some toxic Yuri? Plus that's just my perception.

Techtalks was a huge private company- one of the most successful in the nation. For such a big company, it somehow had no controversies. Nothing! The entrepreneur behind it was Mycroft Holmes. At 27, he still ran the whole thing. Techtalk’s product was a surprisingly reasonably priced and accessible digital chip, that could be embedded for free into one of your everyday accessories-like glasses, earrings, or a cane, at one of their stores. It was said to keep no memory of the data it sees, and so keep it private. The purpose was to help people understand how different people have different experiences to the same thing. The camera would analyse the situation, and explain how different wakes of life would cause different views, in audio, text or image form. They were working on a brail version.

Albert worked for a gossip magazine a journalist. He didn’t like his job…he’s always wanted to be a journalist, but of crime, war and peace. Not fake celebrity paparazzi stuff. But all he had to show for his dream career was his blog with 6 followers, though atleast writing that stuff made him feel content. He was 27, and hoped to get recognised for an interesting story, and hired by someone else before he hit 30. The magazine he worked for- Hot Startrails, had assigned him an interview with the Ceo of Techtalks. OMG, this was a great opportunity! If Albert could get dirt on the ceo or company, he might finally get recognition that he needed for his career!!

(I just made up some stuff for the company, but yeah, I think the DRAMA could be fun...)

Just two tranfem, middle aged women, in love. 

If it is set in the canon time, maybe-

Albert as having known for a long time, going by she/her in inner circles (cuz she needs to be 'Albert, moriarty heir' for the LOC stuff). And she's comfortable with that, because she looks at it as a persona of the LOC. 

Mycroft can be in a state of not having even realized it. Al can help with that. 

personal preferance- keep their original names. Albert can be reffered to as 'Al' as a prefered name. for example-

"Al is short for Albert," she said, a with a smile that was not very happy. "Sometimes I like to imagine it were short for Allison, but it isn't. If I were Allison from the very beginning, I would be a different person. So I am Albert. And Albert is a woman."

Something showing how, she wishes for that identity, using the names as symbols for each version of the identity. Despite this wish, she knows of the misogyny in her world. She is at peace with her life as it is, but of course, she still would like it different. 

She is doing what she can to accommodate her identity, and there's nothing more to be done. 

And I mean, she doesn't owe anyone a new name or look to validate herself as trans.

1. Endearments and endless nights by Akyhirou

-> Summary by author- Albert raised his head to look at him, Mycroft's usually so well composed hair were now a total mess. His eyes, normally cold and stern were now softly looking back at him, his other hand reaching to caress his messy and rebellious curls out of the way. "How are you this evening, my dear?" Mycroft's voice was a low, soothing and sweet murmur, something Albert and only Albert was able to witness and hear. He closed his eyes as he rested his hand on his chest, smiling softly. "Very well," he replied, his tone teasing. "Only, I wish you would not call me my dear" Mycroft raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking into the faintest of smiles. "Why ever not?" he asked, even though he knew where this conversation was going.

Basically the "pride&prejudice" final deleted scene STRUCK me completely and i had to write it in Albert's and Mycroft's perspective. Of course, the more i wrote the more it got further and further away from my original focus point. I'm a bit satisfied in the result though, even if i maybe touched too many subject is such brief lines.
(English is not my first language, so I'm sure there will be some mistakes!) Feedbacks are very much appreciated, always!

The door opened slowly, and there he stood. For a fleeting moment, Mycroft forgot how to speak.

Albert smiled faintly at him, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. Mycroft rarely allowed surprise to touch his features, but in that moment, he could feel it cracking through the careful mask of control he wore. Albert was thinner, after long days in isolation. But those emerald eyes still glowed, piercing and beautiful as ever.

Mycroft’s words, once cold and professional, now carried a warmth, a faint whisper of the man Albert once knew…a man whose concern for him seemed to grow with every passing letter, a man who never stopped reaching out, even though Albert had put up every wall he could muster. A man that doesn't seem to give up anytime soon.

"Dear Al,

It is late, and I should be in bed, but something told me I must write to you now. Perhaps it is the silence of the night, or perhaps the unsettling quiet that I know you must be enduring in that tower. Either way, I felt compelled to send you these words, no matter the hour.

1. Pre alcroft dating, Myc would keep a frequent eye on his crush, Al cuz he was pretty. But Myc's resting face is analytical, so in al's head it's just- "DOES HE KNOW IN THE LOC??! NO WAY...DO I NEED TO KILL HIM?? CAN I SEDUCE HIM INTO SILENCE ???"

and myc is just like "his hair is so soft looking (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠)

2. Mycroft plays Billiards and Albert heavily encourages it, because he likes looking at Myc's ass when he bends over to shoot. 

3. Albert CANNOT cook for shit, and insists on making tea for Mycroft.Everyday he puts salt instead of sugar and doesn't know cuz Mycroft still drinks coffee, and like "YUM! I LOVE MY BF'S TEA" cuz he doesn't want to hurt Al's feelings

4. Mycroft canonically spends 30 mins trying to smooth his hair and it still ends up wavy by the end of the day, but Albert likes it wavy so he replaced all the hair products with water or something.

Albert is given an intel-gathering mission by Mycroft as a test for his abilities and loyalty. Since it's a test Mycroft goes to supervise under disguise, to note Albert's methods and mindset during the mission. 

The mission is to infiltrate a party. 

To stay completely indetectable Mycroft disguises as a woman . 

Albert at the party needs to socialise and gain intel and he eventually approaches the 'woman' (myc in disguise), and uses flirts to try and get information, as had worked many times for him. He does not know it's myc and was just socialising with everyone. 

Mycroft gets super flustered and has to play along because he can't blow his cover....plus he likes it.

A fic of alcroft getting caught in the act- even just kissing- by everyone one by one. That's it. like Albert is kissing the living daylights out of mycroft pinning him to the couch and BOOM, Sherliam stumbles in, theirr hands undoing each other's ties, and then they realise the room isn't empty and all four of them just momentarily freeze and stare at ach other, before William and Sherlock silent and slowly back out of the room.

He suggested to albert a romantic trip to Paris, but Albert realises- what if he just took Mycroft on the Noahtic and didn't tell him there was a mission?
