A (Not) Slime and A hero vs The World

Summary:

A unique story following Rimuru Tempest and Midoriya Izuku born in a world of hero's, Committing acts of tomfoolery, getting into trouble, Changing the world, and many other things while giving headaches to every adult they come across.

*Set only in the MHA world. The Tensura world will be referenced later on in a certain way but no people are from the Tensura world.*

Chapter 1: Chapter One: Before The Beginning

Chapter Text

This chapter is just the general information that we need to know for this story to make sense. I wanted to make an AU that was more unique to the ones that I’ve seen on AO3 (not a jab at others works I love 'em) but I thought this would be an interesting difference.

First and foremost Rimuru was not reincarnated, is not Izuku, or a world traveler. He was born in the MHAvers and has quirks. His quirks are of course Predator and Sage. They will be their more powerful versions later on in the story. His powers will be explained in detail in later chaps that describe how his power works differentially.

I decided to make Rimuru a hermaphrodite because of all the funny stuff regarding his gender in the anime/novels and in other fics. Rimuru will still use He/Him/His pronouns but doesn’t mind being called others. I apologize if i don't use some correct anatomy terms, I have no idea about it really. So what is written about that is for the sake of the story mk?

The ship is gonna be Rimuru x Izuku (Rizu: Ree-zoo) cause why not. The relationship is gonna be a slow burn one soooo sorry not sorry. But rest assured there will be some cute and fluffy moments before their relationship so I ain't leaving y'all with nothin’. And there will be other relationships that will happen within the story. Although I am unsure if I'll go with F/M or M/M and F/F relationships or a mix, well see.

Some background info about Izuku and his parents for this fic: His mother Inko and his father Hisashi Midoriya (who is not AFO) split up when Izuku was young and Hisashi lives in America. They split on good terms, and still are in contact with each other. Hisashi sometimes comes and visits Izuku and his mom, so they can catch up and just have some family times.

Many of the characters that were originally from the ttigraas world will also be used in this MHAvers, as if they were also born here too.

The arcs of both anime will intersect each other based on a timeline of my own but the arcs will be different because of the crossover elements. I plan on having some of the later ttigraas arcs go to post MHA canon events. Also the story will start off pre-cannon Mha for some worldbuilding and introduction.

I hope you enjoy this fic, as my first one I don’t expect it to be perfect, but I have high hopes for it.

Also at the moment I have no release schedule sooo chaps will be out when they're out.

Chapter 2: The Start of Something New

Summary:

Some world building and character Introductions! The first few chapters will be pre MHA cannon events, but well eventually get to the cannon timeline.

Chapter Text

3rd Person POV
On top of a building overlooking Aldera Middle School stood a young boy with green hair clenching a notebook in his arms.

Izuku: “Crying”.....stupid kacchan….. Stupid school….. What did I ever do to deserve something like this….”

The boy was of course Izuku Midoriya at the age of thirteen years old and ever since he was diagnosed quirkless his childhood best friend along with his band of lackeys had been making his life a living hell. Being in a world where people without quirks were seen as less than human, he was never able to go to school properly, as even the teachers thought less of him.

Izuku: “....Why can't I at least dream of being a hero?....
I never did anything wrong…… did I?”

After a normal day of being tormented Izuku was feeling much more emotional than usual. He had been coming up here for the past few months just contemplating his life, though the thought of jumping didn't cross his mind.

Izuku POV

I started getting angry…. At the world, at my friend, at everything that made me feel so much less than everyone else.

Izuku: “Still Crying”..... GAHH!!....... I hate this!!..... I just want to be able to live normally without being tormented!!....HuuuGAAHH!!

In a fit of anger I proceeded to throw the journal I had in my arms at the school that held so many problems for me.

Izuku: ”Wiping his tears”.... Sigh….I just need to keep trying right?.... I can still be a hero…. Sigh…. I just wish someone would finally accept me….’

I then proceeded to turn around and step back to get down off the roof, but my foot couldn’t get its balance so I stumbled. In an attempt to regain my footing, I tripped over backwards and off the edge of the building.

Izuku: “AAAAHHHH!!!!”

I screamed as I fell and was frantically looking around for someone or something that could help me. Then I saw a blur of what looked like something flying around towards me. I closed my eyes as it caught me and felt my body being rushed through the air before I felt what was holding me descending and making contact with the ground.

I scrambled around and fell to the ground. I let out a deep relieved sigh as I was on the ground and unharmed. Then I winded my eyes in shock as I remembered there was someone there who was the one that helped me. I looked up behind me and saw the person standing above me looking down at me.

The Girl…. Boy? Was shorter than me in stature and had long light blue hair that reached down to the middle of their back. They had light golden eyes that seemed to have a shine to them. They seemed to have some features that looked both feminine and masculine, which is why I had a problem identifying their gender. They were wearing some blue sport shorts and a plain white t-shirt. They also had a large pair of bat wings sprouting out their back, which I assumed was their quirk and how they caught me.

???: Hey man… I don't know what's going on in your life, buuuttt I don’t think jumping is a very good option, y’know?

I tuned pale as I scrambled to my feet shaking my hands and muttering

Izuku: “WA WAH?? No no no no no! I wasn’t jumping! I just tripped and fell off the roof I swear! I would never try and…”

???: “Woah woah there! I get it, it just really seemed like that was the situation… You good though? Didn’t get hurt?

Izuku: “No no I'm okay! Thanks to you! And Thank you very much for saving me!
My name's Izuku Midoriya by the way! What's yours if you don’t mind me asking?”

Rimuru: “Names Rimuru Tempest, nice to meet you Midoriya. Even if it's not in the best of circumstances.”

Rimuru POV

It was just a normal day for me. I had got out of my school that was quite far away around ten minutes ago and I was just walking home listening to some of my music. This has been my second month of being In Japan after moving here from America. I had lived there since I was born so this was still all quite new to me.

My family had decided to move here a while back so we could come back to where my mom was born and experience new things. My mom is Japanese and my father is American. They met when my mom, Aomi Tempest, came to America for college, and met my dad Samuel Thompson during their freshman year.

They quickly became friends and fell in love. They got together in their sophomore year and have been together for 17 years now. They had me thirteen years ago, which of course makes me thirteen. We lived in America for most of my life, until my mom wanted to move back to her home for an extended time, since she hasn’t been there in a while.

Luckily my dad had a job where he would be able to transfer locations without too much of a problem, and agreed after not too long. It was kind of hard of a change for me, since I had a lot of friends there, and had been comfortable living there. But since I had just completed elementary school, and was on summer break, I didn’t have to worry about transferring schools.

Had to say a bittersweet bye to my friends and of course promised to keep in contact with them, and they made me tell them immediately when I arrived here, which I did. In my new school I haven’t really made friends though, since I’m still kinda tied to my friends in America.

I sighed, wanting to turn off my brain for a while and play games. I turned a corner on the sidewalk and heard someone make a loud noise. I looked up around the source of the noise and saw a boy with green broccoli hair falling off the roof and yelling.

I quickly used my bat wings to fly fast and catch the falling boy. I caught him in my arms and wooshed out of the area before landing on the ground with the boy still in my arms.

He scrambled out of my arms and fell to the ground. I saw him hugging the ground which I thought was kind of funny. After a moment he shot up and looked at me intensely. He probably just remembered I was here, but I don’t blame him. After a minute I told him he probably shouldn’t try to off himself, which I assumed was the case here.

He seemed to panic at that, but he cleared up the situation. I learned the boy’s name was Izuku Midoriya, and that he was a rather chatty boy. Though, I did want to know why he was atop that building in the first place, so I asked him.

Rimuru: “So… why were you on top of that building anyway?”

Izuku: “oh OH Yes! Uuhhhh…. I was just venting out some emotions I suppose…. That was my school that was in front of the building.”

Rimuru: “Ohhhh… I think I get it. Lemme guess, crappy school with even crappier people?”

Izuku: “Heh…. you're not wrong I suppose, although I really wouldn’t put it like that.”

Rimuru: “I see, you're one of those kind to everyone, even the assholes kind of guy eh?”

Izuku: “Eeehhh.. I guess I am, but that's not a bad thing right?”

Rimuru: “No not at all. But if you don’t mind me asking, what did they do to you that made you do that?”

Izuku: “Sighs… I guess I could tell you” (I hope they won’t be like the rest…)

Izuku POV

We walked down to a nearby park and I sat down on a bench, with them sitting across from me. They looked at me in the eyes and waited for me to start. With a sigh I started to go into the story of my life.

I then told them everything that's happened to me. From being diagnosed quirkless to being bullied relentlessly by someone who I thought was my best friend. I explained how schools and teachers didn't do anything to stop the bullying and thought that if I did as good as I could I was definitely cheating.

As I talked I could see them listening attentively and occasionally made a noise that went with the situation, and had a different facial expression, but didn’t talk. I expected them to make a comment about me being quirkless but they surprisingly didn’t say anything, and didn’t have a look of pity in their eyes.

I told them about my lifelong dream about becoming a hero despite being quirkless and what everyone else thought. How I studied heroes all my life, and the ones I looked up to my whole life.

Izuku: “And that's the kind of hero I want to be!
One who saves people with a smile on their face no matter the danger!
I want to prove to the world that I am not some useless deku!”

I looked down at them and saw that they were staring at me intensely with a look I couldn’t quite make out. But, as I finished talking to them, I asked the question that had been haunting me all my life, and one that no one had said yes to.

Izuku: “Do you think…. Do you think I could be a hero without a quirk?” I asked with a shaky voice, dreading the most likely answer.

Rimuru: “Sigh….”

They got up off the bench and stood in front of me looking me in the eyes and they started talking.

Rimuru: “Midoriya…”

I braced myself for what I thought was the inevitable mocking of my dream. But what they said I didn’t expect.

Rimuru: “This society looks on quirks as things that could be more important than human life. So much is dependent on them that people don’t know what to do without them. But this image of perfect quirks or quirks that are considered good or bad has been so much of a problem with us but people just accept it. And people like you are ostrichsized from society as if they're inferior to everyone else. But look at you…. Even though you don’t have a quirk and have been tormented your whole life because of it you still want to be a hero.

I looked at them with a thousand thoughts in my mind not knowing where this was going.

Rimuru: “This society has taken so much from you. Trying to break you down and make you give up on your dream. But you, you keep going and working toward your goal in your own way. You have the drive and determination to save people that not many people have these days.”

I started tearing up as I hear this person I just met turn my world upside down.

Rimuru: “People think that a quirk is what makes people a hero. But what makes someone a hero is that they have what you have. An unexplainable drive to help people. That's what makes someone a good hero. You, Izuku Midoriya, can be a hero, no doubt in my mind.”

I start full on bawling in happiness, no one has ever believed in me like this, and I feel so, so happy. I hugged them tightly, still crying a river and probably getting their clothes wet, but they didn’t seem to care, they just held me and patted my head as I let out my emotions.

After a few minutes of me crying I let go of them and started wiping my face that was wet with tears. I stared at them who had a sympathetic and warm smile on their face.

Izuku: “Thank you… Thank you so much!! ….No one has ever told me that. I'm so happy”

Rimuru: “Hm, I am glad, and I meant every word y’know.”

Izuku: “Yea… But why are you being so kind to me? We just met each other but you're saying all this to me.”

Rimuru: “Because I know a good person when I see one, and It really looks like you need some help with things.”

Izuku: “Heh… Thank you very much!
Errr by the way… I hope I’m not offending you by asking this but, what gender are you? “squeaks” I-it's just because its k-kinda hard for m-me to tell! “

Rimuru: “HAH… don’t worry, I don't take any offense, it's a common problem. I’m actually hermaphroditic, so it’s normal for people to not know.”

Izuku: “OH, huh, I've never seen that before in someone, But! It's not a bad thing.”

Rimuru: “Yeahhh it's not a common thing to see, oh and by the way I use male pronouns in case you need some context.”

Izuku: “Ok got it!”

RImuru: “Soooo… what do you do now, go home?”

Izuku: “Pales slightly”
“Oh! Yes! Right! I forgot about that, I hope my mom isn't worried…”

Rimuru: “Say… Would it be alright if I came over to your house for a while? My parents are busy, and aren’t gonna be home for a while.”

I am shocked as I’ve not had someone over to my house in a long time.

Izuku: “Wahh.. are you sure? Don’t only friends come over to each other's houses?”

Rimuru: ”Fakes being hurt”
“Ouch! And here I thought we were friends Midoriya!” He said dramatically.

I started feeling tears form in my eyes again as I thought about it.

Izuku: “F-f-friends? W-were friends?”

Rimuru”slightly shocked” Sigh… Yes Midoriya, we're friends, if that's what you want?”

Izuku: “ Y-yes! Of course! I-its just, I haven't had a friend in a long time…”

Rimuru: “Heh, well now you do, and as such I want you to call me Rimuru ok?”

Izuku: “O-ok! Alright!”

Rimuru: “So, shall we go?”

Izuku: “Oh yes! Right! Come with me!”

Rimuru: “Obviously. I don't know where your house is.”

Izuku: “Laughs”

Rimuru POV & 3rd Person POV

The duo began walking to their destination, with the sun starting to set in the background, giving the area an orange hue.

As They walked Rimuru told Izuku about his life and how he came to Japan. Izuku enjoyed listening to him talk about his life in America, he had plenty of funny stories to share it seemed.

As they arrived at Izuku’s house, Izuku tensed up a bit, but he was excited to have someone over, he hoped his mom would let Rimuru come in.

Izuku knocked on his door so his mom could let him in. The door opened a bit, then swung open fast, and revealed his mother with a shocked and worried look.

Inko: “IZUKU!! Where were you!? Are you ok!? What happened!?
His mother was obviously panicking due to Midoriya not telling his mom what he was doing. I felt for her and Midoriya at this moment, as Izuku was being searched on his body for injuries.

Izuku: “MOM! Mom! Mom! Calm down! I’m okay! I swear!”

Inko: “SO WHAT HAPPENED?! YOU’VE BEEN GONE FOR HOURS TOO LONG AND I DIDN’T HEAR A THING FROM YOU!!”His mom said this with tears in her eyes, and with that I could guess Midoriya got the excessive crying from his mom, which I found cute.

Izuku: “I’LL TELL YOU! I’LL TELL YOU!...sigh…. So here's what happened…..”

Midoriya then explained the events that happened. How we met and who I was. I was surprised when he actually told her that he fell off a building, but I guess it's good he was honest. She was obviously terrified and started shouting at him again if he was hurt, but he got her to calm down enough. After he explained what I had said to him, about me believing in him, she looked at me with a big smile across her face, and hugged me tightly.

Inko: “Thank you so much for what you said to Izuku! I can already tell you are a kind hearted soul.”

Rimuru: “ghhh… y-yeah your wwwelcome…. May.. be can you not hug me so tightllly.” I said with a strained voice as the air was leaving my lungs from his mothers hug.

Inko: Shocked look on her face “OH ! Oh, I'm so sorry! I get carried away sometimes! Are you okay??”

I breathed in deeply when she released me from her hug, but nodded showing I was okay.

Rimuru: Deeply breaths in and out “Its okay miss Modoriya, and I’m fine don’t worry”

Inko: “Call me Inko, dear! Oh and where are my manners? Come inside, I'll make you some tea if you want!”

Rimuru: “That seems nice, thank you Inko!”

She smiled brightly and gestured for us to come inside the house. I walked behind Midoriya into the house. I looked around when I got in, it was a nice cozy apartment building that seemed spacious enough. Inko went to the kitchen to make some tea for us, so I just sat down on the couch waiting patiently.

Midoriya came over and sat next to me, he smiled warmly, as we began some idle chatter. I can already tell he could go on and on forever about heroes and quirks, as he told me about his favorite heroes and their quirks. I was about to ask him about that journal he had that he picked up off the ground earlier, as it said “hero analysis for the future” but his mom came over with the tea and placed it down on the table in front of us. She sat on the chair opposite of us and layed out the tea.

Inko: “So Rimuru what's your story if you don’t mind me asking” She said while mixing the tea with sugar.

I sighed and started telling my life story for the THIRD time that day (with one of them just being inner monologuing) and I was kinda getting tired of talking about myself over and over, but I wouldn’t say that to Inko, as she was just to nice for me to say no.

Rimuru: “And yea, that's basically it…” I finished the general outline of my life again and Inko hummed happily.

Inko: “Well I hope you enjoy living here! And if you ever want to stop by again feel free to!”

Rimuru: “Thank you miss Inko! And what's yours and Midoriya's story if you don’t mind me asking?” I know Midoriya’s side, but I would like to know his moms.

Inko “sighs… well I guess I could tell you dear.”

She told me how she had Midoriya pretty early in her life with his father Midoriya Hisashi. How they’d tried to raise him together for a couple of years, before they split off on good terms, it just wasn’t love that they had. His father still helped them financially a bit and would come visit from America every once in a while. She had lived her whole life in Japan with Izuku, and had mostly stayed in the same area as well.

She mentioned having a long time friend who lived near her named Bakugou Mitsuki and her husband Bakugou Masaru who had a son named Bakugou katsuki. I saw Midoriya flinch at the mention of Bakugou Katsuki, which I could only determine meant he was one of Midoriya's bullies. But the way Inko talked about him made me realise she either didn’t know about that or was trying to be positive.

Inko: “That's basically it. Hope I didn’t take too long explaining.”

Rimuru: “No, no, it wasn’t too long. Thank you for telling me!”
Inko: “Of course dear. You told us your story, so it's only right if we tell you ours.”

Izuku: “Yes I agree, although there was something I was wondering, Rimuru.”

Rimuru: “Yes? What is it?”

Izuku: “What's your quirk? I saw you had bat wings when you caught me, is that it?” He asked with a contemplative look.

Rimuru: “Oh yes! The wings aren’t my quirk, their just an extension of it. I was born with two quirks though, one is called predator the other is called sage.” I took another sip off my tea after I said this.

Rimuru said this all nonchalantly as Izuku and Inko looked at him with shocked expressions on their faces.

Izuku and Inko: “WHAAATT!?!”

Notes:

Hehe cliffhanger. Note I did NOT write all this in one day I have had this in the works for a bit soo yea. Hope you enjoyed, and look forward to future chapters. Also I will try and add some Japanese formalities later, I'm still figuring out what goes with who.

Chapter Text

Rimuru POV
{{....}}- Sage talking
(thought communication)

They stared at me bewildered at what I just said. And I was a bit confused as to why…

Izuku: “YOU HAVE TWO QUIRKS!? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME EARLIER!?” He shouted at me.

Rimuru: “WAHAHAH!?… why are you yelling??”

Izuku: “WHY AM I YELLING?! YOU DIDN’T TELL ME YOU HAD TWO QUIRKS?!”

Rimuru: “I’M SORRY, BUT STOP YELLING, I’LL TELL YOU!” I just realized the gravity of what I had said to a quirk enthusiast like Midoriya.

It took them a minute to calm down and I could tell his mom was also shocked, but definitely not as much as Midoriya.

Izuku: “Explain Please.”

Rimuru: “Alright, alright, yes I was born with two quirks, and I said they are called Predator and Sage, I manifested both at the same time when I was four.”

Izuku: “Four?? Wow you got your quirks early! So what do they do??” He pulled out his notebook very fast and was already writing a new page for Me.

Rimuru: “Ok ok…. So first is predator.”

*Authors Note: I just looked at the wiki to find out what the skills can do so what is here is what I found there*

Rimuru: “So both the quirks I was born with have a main ability with a few sub abilities that go with it. Predator’s main one is called Predation which absorbs what I use it on, which includes organic things, but is harder to do if the target is resisting at all. It also can absorb quirk emissions, which is rather helpful.”

He was profusely writing all this information in his notebook trying to get every last detail he could. I suppressed a laugh at this.

Rimuru: “Next is Analysis, it's where I can study and analyze whatever I absorb. I can see things it's made of and what it is if I don’t know. Quirk emissions are also analyzed when I absorb them so I can know about that quirk. Which also works with organic things, if someone has a quirk and I absorb them I can analyze it.

Rimuru: “And if you're wondering where the things I absorb go, the next power is called Stomach. It's where all the absorbed things go, and is basically my own space that I can do things with, like analyze them. Also whatever is in there isn’t affected by time!” Which is kinda overpowered.

Rimuru: “And if I absorb something I don’t need to use or are harmful to me can be stored and converted into energy eventually.”

He continued to write everything I said down, I didn’t know how he could get all that information down that quickly, but I could only assume he did.

Rimuru: “.... You got all that man?” I asked, amused as I saw him writing down everything I said in detail.

Izuku: “Eeek! Sorry! It's just really interesting is all…” He said sheepishly as he looked back down at his notes.

Rimuru: “Laughs Loudly” “It’s ok Midoriya! I get that you're a quirk nerd and want to know EVeryTHing there is to know.” I said that last part dramatically just to mess with him a bit more.

Izuku: “sighs in defeat” “I guess I really am a quirk nerd, but you know what I'm a proud one Rimuru!” He said enthusiastically that made me start laughing again, then he started laughing loudly as well.

Unbeknownst to me and Midoriya, Inko-san was watching our interactions with a smile on her face, happy to see her son having a friend who he can be so warm and open around.

As soon as the laughing died down I cleared my throat and began talking again.

Rimuru: “Ok, so, you want to hear the information for my other quirk, Midoriya?” I asked rhetorically already knowing what he was gonna say.

Izuku: “YES!, yes, yes, yes, please fo, Rimuru!” He said with sparkles in his eye’s already readying a new section in his notebook for my next quirk.

Authors note: Because this is “Sage” not “Great Sage” this power will be weaker than in cannon at first.

Rimuru: “Ok so my next quirk is called sage. It is basically a robotic voice that talks in my head when I need it, although it doesn’t talk very fluently. I use female pronouns for it, because it sounds like a girl. It also has a bunch of sub powers to it!”

I let Midoriya write down all the information before, I continued, which only took a few seconds somehow….

Rimuru: “So the first and probably best sub power is Mind Acceleration. This power increases my thought process up to 100 times faster. And this power is adjustable based on how much I want it to increase. When I use it things around me seem to go slower, that's because I’m processing all the information faster! And I can use it on others but that's difficult.”

Izuku: “WOW! That does sound amazing! That can have so many uses! It can “mutter” “mutter” “mutter”

Rimuru: “Midoriya! You're muttering!” I internally laughed as I heard him mutter, I found it cute and funny.

Midoriya blushed madly and started apologizing. I said it was ok and I was going to continue, he nodded.

Rimuru: “Ok so the next ability of it is called Analytical Appraisal. This skill is activated via touch or in some cases simply view of the person, with this skill I can scan a person, and get information about them through it. Such as their quirk, their height, weight, an estimated power level, and if they're under the effect of a quirk. But depending on the person's power level, depending on how much information I could get, It could even fail if they're too powerful.

Izuku: “Wait so you can just see what someone and know what their quirk is?!” He asked excitedly, this power is obviously a dream for an analyst like Midoriya.

Rimuru: “I mean yea, if the person is within a certain power range that I see, then yes I can see their quirk!”

Izuku: “That's so cool!

Rimuru: “Heh, thanks, anyway do you wanna hear the rest?”

Izuku: “Yes Please!”

Rimuru: “Ok, so the next one is Activation cancellation, this means that I can use my powers without saying what I’m using, So I can use it just by thinking about it! This also means I don’t have to shout my attack moves everytime I use them like an idiot.” I laughed slightly, thinking about how heroes just constantly yell their powers.

When i said that heroes were idiots for shouting their powers, midoriya started sputtering and messed up his writing.

Izuku: “Idiots?? What do you mean idiots? He said with an exasperated confused face.

Rimuru: “Heros literally shout out their powers when they use them! Their special moves are never hidden, everyone knows what they can do!

Izuku: “Wha….I mean!....Wait!.....Uhh……sigh…. I guess you're kinda right….”

Rimuru: “See I told you!” I said feeling victorious about convincing Midoriya that shouting your moves is stupid.

Rimuru: “Ok! So the last ability of sage!”

Izuku: “Ah yes!” He readied his notebook again to write more.

Rimuru: “It’s called Base of Creation, this allows me to comprehend human knowledge as long as I have a basic understanding of it and it is perceivable to me. So, like if I have a sufficient amount of knowledge on a math topic, I can understand it completely!”

Izuku: “WOW, so you must be extremely smart with that!”

Rimuru: “Well… I don’t like to brag but, it really does help! But I don't always use it for everything, it's kinda cheating in education.” Not like this quirk on its own is basically a cheat.

Izuku: “Yeah I get that at some point.”

Rimuru: “Oh, and all that information that I told you isn’t gonna compare to what I’m about to tell you what I can do with my quirks.” I said with a mischievous grin on my face.

Izuku: “What could be more shocking than all those cool powers?!”

Rimuru: “Smirking” when I combine my powers by analyzing things or peoples powers and sage using the powers she has…. I can create more powers.”

Izuku’s eyes winded more than I thought humanly possible, his jaw dropped and he became speechless. He looked like he was about to have a stroke so I started shaking him a bit to get him to snap out of it.

Izuku: “Ok….. inhales…. WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN CREATE POWERS!?!” He yelled veerrry loud, and I was worried we’d get some noise complaints from the neighbors.

Rimuru: “STOP yelling so loud Midoriya!’

Izuku: “Stuttering… Ok Ok I’m sorry, but PLEASE EXPLAIN!”

Rimuru: “Ok! So, yes with sage and me using the analyzing from absorbing things with predator, I can create a skill based on what I absorbed or what i analyzed, and yes there called skills not, quirks, because they aren’t really the same.”

Midoriya, again, was writing in his journal. I was worried he'd get carpal tunnel if he kept writing so much at such fast speeds.

Rimuru: “Unlike quirks, the skills that I create aren’t tied to my DNA in any way, they're just available for me to use, and sage helps me keep track of the skills I have. The skills I can create have different classifications, make sure your pencil is sharp enough there’s a lot more information.”

He looked at his pencil which was just about worn out, so he went to go and sharpen it. He came back and readied his pencil with an excited look on his face.

Rimuru: “Ok so my skills have different classifications, which are, common skills, which are the most basic and usually only do one specific thing. Extra skills, which are a step higher than common skills, are more powerful and have more versatility. Unique skills, which are stronger than extra skills, are special, these skills are made from emotions and desires, they are quite hard to obtain, and they can change if I change. And resist skills, which allow me to withstand certain phenomena, this could be physical or based on quirk or element based things. There are two different types of resist skills, resistant ones which just makes something have a less of an effect on me, and nullifications which outright negates the effect it would have on me, that's it.”

After Midoriya finished writing all the information, he put his pencil down, and closed his notebook.

Rimuru: “So you got all that Midoriya?’”

Izuku: “Yes, thank you for explaining, and that all sounds so amazing! There’s so many possibilities with that! Wait! How many skills have you made?”

Rimuru: “Uhhh I think I’ve made a bit over a hundred in total?”

Izuku made a high pitched squeak and started muttering like crazy about what kinds of skills I made. And again I was shaking him to make him calm down.

Rimuru: “Chill out Midoriya!” I yelled while still shaking him.

After I calmed him down, I sighed kinda hoping this doesn’t happen over and over, even though I found it pretty cute, but I didn’t say that…. It was embarrassing. But then I got a good idea that would scare Midoriya a bit. So I reached over and touched his head for a few seconds, then I grinned when I finished what I was doing.

Midoriya blushed a little bit then asked.

Izuku: “W-what was tha-”

{{Hello Izuku Midoriya}}

Midoriya started scrambling around a bit, obviously very startled about what he heard.

Izuku: “W-WHAT WAS THAT?!”

{{I am Sage, one of Master Rimuru’s unique skills, it is nice to meet you}}

Izuku’s face changed into one of intrigue and excitement.

Izuku: “Wait! That’s one of your quirks isn’t it?? How can I hear it?? Wait, why did it say unique skill, not quirk?? What is-”

Rimuru: “Midoriya! Muttering!”

Izuku: “Sorry! Sorry!” He said while blushing and waving his arms.

Rimuru: “Ok so yes that is Sage, one of my quirks, but here's the thing, since quirks are unique and none are the exact same, I reference my two quirks as unique skills as well.”

Izuku: “Oh! I understand that! So how did I hear it?”

Rimuru: “I used a skill called Thought Communication, which allows us to hear each other's thoughts when we want to.”

Izuku’s Thoughts: “That is so cool! So it’s like telepathy! Just how amazing can Rimuru be?!”

Rimuru: “My my~ aren't you charming, I appreciate the compliment Midoriya, and yes I am amazing~!”

Midoriya blushed a deep red and started sputtering, and I swear I saw steam coming out of his face.

Rimuru: “Hey, hey I’m messing with you, and yes I heard your thoughts like telepathy.”

Midoriya calmed down, even though he was still a little red.

Izuku: “O-ok so how does thought communication work?’

Rimuru: “I can hear your thoughts if I want to but I can’t communicate at the same time. Or I and Sage can communicate with you in your mind, and you can also talk to me when you get used to it.”

Izuku: “So eventually I could communicate back??”

Rimuru: “Yep! Although it shouldn’t be all too hard to figure out, just remember to turn it off so I don’t hear your thoughts.”

Izuku: “Cool! When can we try it out! Can we try now??”

TC Rimuru: (Calm down Midoriya we’ll get to that soon enough)

Izuku: “AH! That's so cool!”

Rimuru: “Thank you! And I'll help you learn to use it eventually” I look over at the clock and notice it’s quite late by now.

Rimuru: “Oh! It’s pretty late, I should go soon.”

Izuku: “Oh!.... oh … ok!” I couldn’t help but feel bad as I saw his face look upset.

Rimuru: “Hey, don’t worry man, I’ll come back tomorrow if you want me to!” I immediately saw his face light up, and a big smile on his face.

Izuku: “Oh yes you can! If that's ok with you mom?” I Saw Inko-san look over at us and smile.

Inko: “Of course you can, I would love for you to come over again.”

Rimuru: “Thank you Inko-san!”
Inko: “Of course dear! Do you need a lift home?”

Rimuru: “No thanks Inko-san, I can get back on my own” I got up and looked at Midoriya “I’ll see you tomorrow Midoriya, ok?”

Izuku: “Ok! Bye Rimuru! Oh and call me Izuku! If you want?”

Rimuru: “Ok! I’ll see you… Izuku~” I said his name like that purposefully, as he looked down and blushed, he’s so easy to tease. That’ll be fun in the future, hehe.

I said my last goodbyes and walked out of the apartment. When I was ground level, I folded out my wings, and started flying toward my house. It was dark and the air was cold, but with the help of some skills it was no problem flying. I reached my house in around twenty minutes, and landed in front of it, putting my wings away.

I saw my parents car’s out in the driveway so I knew they were home. I unlocked the front door and walked in my house.

Rimuru: “Mom! Dad! I'm home!”

I walked into the living room and saw my mom on the couch watching one of her favorite shows.

Aomi: “Hello my little Slime~ how was your play date?” I groaned about how my mom talked.

Rimuru: “Mom! Do you have to call me that?? And it wasn’t a playdate! That's for baby’s!”

Aomi: “Yes of course I have to call you that, your cheeks were always so squishy, don’t deny it!”

Rimuru: “MOM! STOP IT!” I was so embarrassed my cheeks must’ve been so red, and that really didn’t help my situation.

Aomi: “Ok, ok, so how was your “hang out” or whatever you want to call it?.

Rimuru: “Sigh” It was good though! Izuku is funny, he’s such a quirk nerd, or enthusiast, whatever you want to call it, and he always mutters when he’s interested in something and sputters when he’s embarrassed. Hehe…. It's kinda cute…
Aomi: “Oh??? Has my little slime found someone special??”

I blushed madly in embarrassment, I can't believe she just said that!

Rimuru: “MOM!!! DON’T SAY THAT!! THAT IS NOT WHAT'S GOING ON!!”

Aomi: “Hehe you're so easy to tease my little slime~ but I’m glad you found a friend, it's about time you found friends here.”

Rimuru: “Still flustered” whatever…. But yea I suppose it is good….” I started feeling kinda sad. I like being in Japan, but I still really miss America with all my friends.

Aomi: “ohhhh come here” She said, then I walked over to the couch and sat next to her. She pulled me in and hugged me. “It’s going to be fine, you know that right?”

Rimuru: “Yea, I know it will be, it's just difficult at times y’know.”

Aomi: “I know, I know, and you know I’m here if you need me right?”

Rimuru: “Yea I know mom… thank you.”

Aomi: “Of course. Now! No more sadness, ok! Let's do something fun okay?”

Rimuru: “Okay mom~”

Izuku POV

Inko: “So, Izuku, Rimuru seems to be nice hmm?”

Izuku: “Yea! I know right! He’s amazing! I can't wait to see him again!”

Inko: “Hehe, you really seem to like him hmmmm??”

I started blushing madly and was waving my arms all over the place.

Izuku: “THAT’S NOT HOW IT IS MOM!”

Inko: “Hehe, ok, ok, I’m sorry, but… I am glad you found a friend, you seem really happy more so than I’ve seen you in a while.”

Izuku: “Yea… I know….” I got a little sad over numerous things that happened to me.

Inko: “Oh Izuku… Come here” She held out her arms to me and I went over and hugged her tightly. “I’m so happy you're doing ok, and you know what? I think things will continue to get better from here on out.”

Izuku: “I think so too… thanks mom”

Inko: “Of course sweetie, now you want to go watch some new All Might videos?”

Izuku: “YES, that sounds fun!”

Inko: “laughs” go on sweetie”

I ran out of the living room to go to my room and cue up some new All Might videos! I didn’t notice my mom smiling with light tears in her eyes.

Inko: “I’m so glad you're doing better, Izuku…”

Chapter end!

Notes:

Hope you liked this chapter! The next chapter won't be focused on information and will get to some more interesting events! Know that the next few chapters will still be pre-mha-cannon events, but it's time for some ttigraas arcs! Were not going to have the Shizue and ifrit arcs as they don't fit in with my story. So the arc will be... who knows? "Cough" Orc Lord "Cough".

I don't know when the next chapter will be, but it'll probably come out later than this one did. goodbye!

Chapter 4: Problems and Promises

Summary:

The beginning of two arcs, some angsty backstory, and messed up crap.

Chapter Text

{{....}}- Sage talking

(thought communication)

3rd Person POV

It was the morning after Rimuru’s and Izuku’s first time meeting, it was around 7:00 am, and Izuku was laying in his bed asleep. He had stayed up rather late last night due to all the excitement he had coursing through his system, and found it hard to sleep. He already couldn’t wait for Rimuru’s next visit, and was cheerfully waiting for what could happen.

Izuku POV

{{Good Morning Izuku Midoriya}}

My eyes shot open as I woke up abruptly and made a sound close to that of a squeak mixed with a small scream. What was that voice?! Wait… isn’t that…

{{Yes, I am Sage, one of Master Rimuru’s unique skills. I have been instructed by Master Rimuru to wake you through the thought communication link}}

Izuku’s Thoughts: “There’s a thought communication link?! Is that how I would be able to communicate back??”

{{Correct}}

Izuku’s Thoughts: “Ok. So why did Rimuru want you to wake me up?”

{{Master Rimuru wishes to meet you at the park you were at yesterday. Master Rimuru would like you to be there by eight}}

Izuku’s Thoughts: “Oh! Of course! I’ll start getting ready then!”

{{Thank you for your cooperation}}

With a sigh I got out of bed and stretched. I still felt tired, but less than I was excited to see Rimuru again. I didn’t think it would be this early! I got dressed in just a casual outfit, I was so glad it was the weekend and I didn’t have to wear that uncomfortable middle school uniform. I walked out of my room, and saw my mom making some breakfast.

Izuku: “Hi mom! What are you making?”

Inko: “Oh! Good morning Izuku! I didn’t expect you to be up this early. And I’m making some salmon and rice if that's ok?”

Izuku: “Of course it is! And I’m up so early because I was contacted by one of Rimuru’s quirks that he wanted me to go to the park.”

Inko: “Oh that's nice! I know you've been excited to hang out with him again.” She said with a small smirk that I didn’t notice.

Izuku: “Yea I have! He wants to meet me at eight, so would I be able to eat before then?”

Inko: “Yes it's almost ready!”

Izuku: “Ok! Thank you mom!”

Inko: “Of course sweetie”

After about ten minutes the food was done, and my mom sat it down for us to eat. I ate rather quickly, and wasn’t savoring the food much, I was just so excited, and jittery that I couldn’t stop myself. Mom giggled at me, obviously seeing how excited I was.

As soon as I finished, I thanked my mom again, and put my dishes in the sink, and washed them off a bit. I grabbed some of my stuff, including a fresh notebook which I had just for Rimuru!

I said my goodbye and ran out the door, not hearing yet another giggle from my mom. I ran around on sidewalks and across streets, while trying to not bump into anyone. I got some looks as I probably looked strange just running out, but I didn’t care much at the moment.

It took about six minutes for me to reach the park, and it was already almost eight, but I made it on time! I assumed Rimuru wanted to meet me around the bench that we were at yesterday so I went there. When I got there I didn’t see Rimuru anywhere, so I could only assume he wasn’t here yet.

So I just sat down to wait until I saw him.

Rimuru: “BOO!!!”

I practically leaped five feet away from the bench in terror, as I was scared half to death. And all I could see was a snickering Rimuru standing behind the bench.

Izuku: “WHA-wha-wha RIMURU?! WHERE WERE YOU?! WHY DID YOU SCARED ME LIKE THAT?!”

Rimuru: “Still laughing””I got you!””more snickering””And of course you didn’t see me! I was invisible!” Rimuru said proudly

Izuku: “WHA?! YOU WERE INVISIBLE?! YOU CAN DO THAT TOO?!” I asked with astonishment while also still being scared.

Rimuru: “Stop yelling! And yes I can go invisible! Just not for long though, I’ve only been here for about two minutes, and I was about to have to go visible.”

Izuku: “That's so cool! AHH I love seeing all the cool powers you have! Where my notebook?!” I started searching for my notebook, and found it on the ground next to me. I immediately began writing about Rimuru being able to go invisible.

Rimuru raised his eyebrow

Rimuru: “Is that a book specifically for me?”

I blushed a little bit, but nodded

Izuku: “Yea it is! I copied all the information you told me yesterday in here, and I have plenty of more pages for other things.” “Squeaks” “If it’s ok if I write about your powers?”

Rimuru: “Giggles” “Of course it is! And I am so honored you have a whole journal just about little-ol-me~” He said dramatically

Izuku: “Well yea! I had already known that you had so many powers and things I could write about! So I knew I would need a new journal for it all.”

Rimuru: “Well yea it is a lot of information, but I don’t wanna do another information dump today, I did enough of that already!” Totally not speaking the author's feelings, no not at all.

Izuku: “Oh Ok! I get it, it was a lot wasn’t it?”

Rimuru: “Yea it was. So! You wanna get to the reason I invited you out here?”

Izuku: “Oh! Yes please do!”

Rimuru: “So… what did we talk about here yesterday?”

Izuku: “....About my life and my dream of wanting to become a hero, and what you said to me that was so amazing to hear.” I said with a mixture of sadness and happiness from the memory, about different things.

Rimuru: “Correct! And that is what we are going to be discussing today!”

Izuku: “Eh… Huh??” I asked confused, not knowing why Rimuru would want to talk about this.

Rimuru: “I wanted to talk about the future, and a plan I have in mind!”

Izuku: “Oh?? What is it about?” I asked, very intrigued.

Rimuru: “You wanna be a hero yea? Well after some thought, I’ve decided I’m going to help you with that, and how I am going to!”

Izuku: “Shocked” “Wait… Your going to help me?! Really?! You would do that for me?!” I asked as my mind was racing with the fact Rimuru had said he was going to help me become a hero.

Rimuru: “Yes! I have made a plan that, if you want, will allow me to help you become a hero!”

Izuku: “WHA, of course I would want that!!” I felt tears starting to form in my eyes as my brain kept processing what Rimuru was saying.

Rimuru: “Good! But I must say the plan that I have won’t be easy for you! It will require much training and hard work! And the schedule can get pretty tight at times. But with Sage, I have made a plan that will benefit us both! I call it “Path To Success, The American Dream Plan!”

Author's note: Yes, that is a reference to All Might's plan for Izuku. I wanted Rimuru to make something similar, because he is half American basically, and lived there most of his life soooo…. yea!

Rimuru: “I know, I know it sounds rather generic, but I like it, and I know it’ll help you!”

Tears started to flow out my eyes as I was overwhelmed with happiness. I knew that whatever Rimuru had in store would be amazing! So I started to get pumped up and excited for what it was.

Izuku: “Thank you so much Rimuru!! I can’t thank you enough for this! Now, what is this amazing plan you have in store for us?? I’m ready for anything!” I was getting really psyched for what Rimuru’s plan was, I could wait to hear it!

One of Rimuru’s powers activated and a big book popped out of his hand. He handed me the book, and it said the title, which Rimuru called it.

Rimuru: “This is the plan I have made! Look over it yourself and see what you think!”

I opened the book, and saw a very detailed schedule of things we would do. Like training, school, sleep, even eating times. It was obviously a difficult balance in the schedule for all the things we needed to do. It was like this for around six months according to the schedule, but then I saw something I didn’t understand much.

Izuku: “Why does this say “Skill Training” here? Won’t that just be regular training for you?”

Rimuru: “No, no, no Izuku. You see, I and Sage are working on making a new skill called “Gift”, and with it…… I am able to give skills to another that I have a connection to, and that is what it means. I will give you skills and train you with them! If that is something you want??”

My brain stopped working as I was processing what he just said. So all I could say was…

Izuku: “Wha… wha…. Huh…??”

Rimuru: “Hehe, yes Izuku! Eventually you can have some skills too! As soon as you train without powers for a while, I will teach you how to use the skills to maximum efficiency! What say you?”

My brain finally caught up with reality, and then I burst into tears of happiness.

Izuku: “I-I-I-I cant believe this… thank you, thank you so much!!….  Are you sure you even want to give me your powers?! Won’t that be bad for you??”

Rimuru: “No no it won’t, the skills I would give you I could make a copy of, it takes a bit of time to make a copy, but it’s not difficult. So I would be happy to give you some skills! If you accept?”

Izuku: “Still crying” “Of course I do! Thank you!”

Rimuru: “Hehe, it's no problem, really, I’m just glad I can help you out. You deserve it.” He then opened his arms signaling for a hug. I immediately rushed into him and hugged him tightly, still crying, and getting his clothes wet. This felt familiar.

Izuku: “You're too kind…. You know you don’t have to go through all this trouble for me right?”

Rimuru: “I know I don’t have too, I want to! So just shut up and accept it okay??”

Izuku: “Hehe, ok I will. Thank you again, you really are amazing.”

Rimuru: “Why thank you~. Now let’s get started with the preparations shall we?”

Izuku: “Oh! Yes, let's start!”

For the next few hours we went over how my schedule was going to work, and what would be needed. I couldn’t stop jittering in excitement, as for the first time in a long time, I truly believed I could become a hero.

We went to a nearby beach that was littered with trash. I think it was called Dagobah Beach? But Rimuru said that he was going to show off some of his skills there. He said he'd rather just show them, than do another information dump, so he told me to just write what I wanted to.

Rimuru: “So it’s time for a little showcase of power Izuku! Ready to see more reasons of just how awesome I am?”

Izuku: “Of course! But do you have to keep flaunting that over and over?”

Rimuru: “GASPS” “IS THAT SASS I SENSE FROM YOU IZUKU??” He asked very dramatically, and I gave a little smirk.

Izuku: “Maybe just a little~” I said this how I think Rimuru would, just to mess with him.

Rimuru: “Maybe I’m influencing you a bit too much…. I can already tell you're becoming less of a cinnamon roll.”

Izuku: “Wha?? Cinnamon roll?? I’m not a cinnamon roll??”

Rimuru: “ Yes, you are , Izuku, just accept it.”

Izuku: “Ok ok, but can I see your powers?”

Rimuru: “Oh yes! Of course!”

For the next few hours Rimuru showed me many different powers that he had made. They were from each category that he mentioned. If the skill was one that couldn’t be shown physically, he would give me a brief explanation of what it did. Overall he showed me about forty five or so, and with each of them, I wrote another entry in my journal for Rimuru and his powers. I was so astonished to see all the powers he had, and this just proved to me that he would be an extremely powerful hero.

But that made me think… What was Rimuru's reason for wanting to be a hero, or what kind of hero did he even want to be? I hadn’t asked him about it, because he didn’t talk about it all too much, I suppose I just kinda assumed what kind of hero he wanted to be up until now. I hoped it wasn’t too personal to ask him, but I really wanted to know his reasons.

Izuku: “Hey Rimuru…. I have a question?”

Rimuru: “What's up Izuku?”

Izuku: “I was wondering… why do you want to be a hero? I’m not insulting you or anything! I just don’t know your reason for it! And what kind of hero do you plan to be? I hope it isn’t too personal!”

Rimuru: “Oh! No don’t worry it’s not too personal, I guess I don’t talk about it often hm? But there is a reason I want to be a hero, and I already know the kind I want to be, I have a whole ideology and all.”

Izuku: “Oh, that's cool that you already know so well. What is it if you want to say?”

Rimuru: “SIGH” “another information dump eh? Ok, will do. Bound to happen at least once today.”

Izuku: “Wahahah, you don’t have to if you don’t want to!”

Rimuru: “No, no, I will, don’t worry about it. You can write this if you want, I don’t mind.”

Rimuru took a deep breath in, and out, obviously deep in thought.

Rimuru: “Ok so…. I have reasons for wanting to be a hero, but they don’t stem from the best things. When I was seven and still in America, there was an attack in our neighborhood, a bunch of heroes and many criminals got into a fight, and it caused a lot of damage.”

Rimuru took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking again.

Rimuru: “I saw the whole fight happen, and I had to witness the destruction and people I knew, die because of it. What’s worse was my dad had gotten caught in the crossfire, because he was trying to help someone who was injured. I tried to go and help him, but my mom held me back, saying it was too dangerous. Even so, I got out of her grasp, and ran towards my dad. She screamed for me to come back, but I didn’t, I didn’t care at that moment.”

I was listening instantly about everything Rimuru said, I had no idea something like this had happened to him, I felt bad.

Rimuru: “When I reached my father, I could tell he was on the verge of death…. I was so scared and I didn’t know what to do, so I did the first thing that came to my mind. I used Predator on my dad, hoping I could get him away from the fight…. I had never used it on a living being of that size yet, and I didn’t know if it would work… But when I activated it, I guess it was just my emotions and my adrenaline, but it worked.

And when I got him I tried to run back, but the fight had gotten between me and where I was trying to go, and even one of the criminals tried to get me. But in the heat of the moment, when my emotions were high, I awakened a unique skill called “Survivor”. This allows me to gain increased defensive, regenerative, and physical skills, when in a very stressful situation.

This skill obviously saved my life as I was able to fight and make my way through the battle and back to my mom. I took her hand and we ran out of there, seeing all the chaos that was left behind from the fight. We were able to find a place to stay safe and hide until the battle was over, while I still had my dad stored away, in my stomach area, as you know, isn’t affected by time, so he was in his same condition there.”

I couldn’t speak whilst hearing this, I could only stare at Rimuru, just thinking about what he went through that day makes me grimace.

Rimuru: “After a while the battle had stopped, and the noise of the fight had ceased. We heard the sounds of ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles outside, so we decided to get to them for help. When we got to them I said my dad was badly injured and needed help. So I used Predator and put him on a stretcher. They immediately started working on him to heal his injuries.

But, I was so worried, worried that I had been too late, or didn’t do enough to save him. Even though my mom assured me it wasn’t my fault at all, I couldn’t help but feel guilty. He did end up surviving, albeit with lasting injuries, but he was okay, that's all that mattered to me.”

Rimuru seemed happy at the memory of his father being okay, but then his facial expression turned darker, and I knew something bad was coming.

Rimuru: “But after the incident, I started noticing, like really noticing and paying attention to all the crap that went on in the world. I felt like I was hit by a truck of reality, as before I was rather oblivious to the worse things. Before that I saw heroes as the ultimate good, and criminals were all just horrible and bad people, but after that I started seeing things for how they really were.

When the battle was on the news you know what was shown? The hero's victory was all that was shown, I know that's like what people want to see, but I noticed there was barely a mention of the people that died, I saw so many of them dead, and it was like they just didn’t matter?? I didn’t understand that, so I asked a hero why it wasn’t covered and why people weren’t speaking about it.”

What Rimuru said really made me think…. The death really wasn’t covered as much as the hero and villain part of stories.

Rimuru: “And you know what the hero said to me? He said people die, that's what happens, no point in dredding over it. And I couldn’t believe this…. He was supposed to be a hero, someone who cared about helping people, but he acted as if he didn’t even care about the people that died. And later I figured out that the families of the people who died were just given some money as compensation, and then ignored, like their grief didn’t even matter.

My view of hero’s dropped way down after that. I just couldn’t understand it…. everyone else sees them as the ultimate good no matter what…. and it's like the bad things that happened because of their fights don’t even matter to the public, or anyone else. After that I started seeing heroes for the good and bad things they did. I didn’t let what was just on the outside shape my view of them.

I was able to get a view on how the world really worked, and that changed how I saw the world. And that got me thinking… if heroes were not the ultimate good like society made them out to be, what about villains, were they really the ultimate bad? And yes I called them villains at this time, not criminals yet.

The more I looked at it, the more it became clear to me. Villains were all people, just like us, not the monsters they were made out to be. They were people with lives, people with problems, people who had just strayed off even a little of what society had expected of people, these were the people that were called villains.

After that I stopped using the word Villain, and didn’t use the word hero as much either. My dad had turned out ok, and we could start living our normal life again, but I would never be the same. Before that I just saw the world as good and evil, black and white. But now I saw it as it was actually, grey, no absolute good, no absolute bad. And that hasn’t changed for me”

I was hanging on Rimurus every word. Hearing this story, and his perspective, really made me think about the world I live in…

Rimuru: “Back then I had no idea what to do about this, the way the world worked on the outside wouldn’t take kindly to my view, and I knew this. But, I didn't waver from my ideals, and that’s what led me to my conclusion.”

I tensed up waiting to hear Rimuru’s response, because I knew this would be very important information.

Rimuru: “I decided that to let people know how the world really worked, I would have to become a hero. One that didn’t turn a blind eye to the crap that happened, or the destruction that fights left behind, the people that it affected. I would be a hero that saw the world differently from everyone else, not one that saw villains as monsters, but as people.

And I would do everything in my power to make sure I was able to accomplish this. So after that I trained and used my powers so much more. I was able to find good methods to use them frequently, without interference from quirk usage laws. Over time I was able to build up my power, and find ways I could use it to fulfil my dream.

You were wondering what kind of hero I want to be Izuku…. That's it, that's the kind of hero I want to be, and nothings going to stop me from that. I hope that it doesn’t make you see me in a worse light, but if it does, it won’t affect my goals.”

I just thinked for a few minutes, thinking about everything Rimuru had told me, maybe having a small metal crisis here and there, just knowing the world from Rimuru’s view gave me so much to think about. But aside from that I knew how I felt about Rimuru’s vision…

Izuku: “Rimuru…. Your reason to be a hero, is the most admirable reason I have ever heard in my entire life, maybe even more than All Mights…. But what I do know is that I support you and your dream, and I promise I will do whatever I can to help you achieve it!”

Rimuru looked shocked, probably taking in what I said. Then he laughed loudly, which confused me

Rimuru: “HA! I knew you were something else Izuku! To say that shows me just how dedicated you are to being an amazing hero, And I too promise to help you achieve your dream”

He held out his fist for a fistbump, and I smiled brightly, and met his fist. From someone else's perspective this would seem like a scene in a movie, with the sun setting behind us, bathing us in light, and then us two, here. At that moment an inseparable bond was made between us. One that would change everything.

3rd person POV

Across Japan a huge event was taking place that had attracted fans from all over the world. It was known as the Marionette cirque de le. Run and owned by a company called the Moderate Harlequin Association, they were responsible for spectacular theatrical performances all over the world.

TIn this particular show they were performing their most popular tricks, and moves, ones that wowed the audience, captivating them in the performance. This particular stunt was done by a few of the top tire performers called “Tear” and “Footman”. Where Footman was on a little unicycle balancing on a tightrope, holding up Tear while she would flip through hoops that came her way as Footman rode the unicycle.

As always, their performance was perfect, and left no audience member disappointed. Once their move had been completed Tear flipped and landed on the ground, while Footman got off his unicycle, and they took a bow.

The audience cheered loudly for them as they proceeded to walk out of the stage. Just then a flash of smoke appeared in the middle of the stage and the ringleader appeared, laughing a hearty laugh. The crowds cheering only got louder upon seeing him. This man was the ringleader and owner of the Moderate Harlequin Association, his name was Wyan Gracy, who went by the stage name of “Clayman”.

Clayman: “Thank you! Thank you all for coming out here today to see our show! I hope you didn’t have a moderate time! HAHAHAHAH!”

The audience clapped and cheered, as Clayman said his goodbyes and final thank you’s, and walked off the stage. The gleeful demeanor that he had in front of his audience, immediately morphed into an irritated one as soon as he was out of view.

Clayman: “Groans” “This stupid silly clown performance is getting on my nerves, was this really the only way to make sufficient finances??” “Sighs” “No matter, if we get the job done, we get what we want.”

In the public eye Clayman was a charismatic born to perform man, who was dedicated to what he did. But in the shadows, he was a scheming, arrogant, and greedy man, who only worked for his personal gain, that held no good intentions. This whole clown show was just a facade so they could gain money and fame to further their goals.

Clayman walked into a room, which Tear and Footman had entered and were joking around in at the moment.

Clayman: “Tear! Footman! What is with all this ruckus?!”

Tear: “Ohhh come oooon ClaYmAn, lighten up a little! Were just having some fun y’know??”

Clayman: “Hhhhgggg! Whatever! Footman! Has there been any development with our plan?”

Footman: “Yes there has, he is ready, Clayman.”

Clayman’s face spread into a mischievous grin at this, and walked into a back room. There tied to a chair was a large man who had the appearance of an orc, obviously from a mutation aspect of a quirk.

Clayman: “HEY! PIG!”

The man looked up at Clayman, his eyes were bloodshot, and he looked like he hadn’t slept in days.

Clayman: “You said you were ready to swear your allegiance? Or was that a pitiful attempt at escape, huh??”

???: “No, I am ready.”

Claymen: “heh. Good. Now. Tear! Footman! Untie him!”

The pair came into the room and proceeded to do so. The orc man fell to one knew and bowed his head.

Geld: “I, Geld, swear my undying allegiance to you, I just hope that you will be merciful with my family.”

Clayman: “That was the deal, wasn’t it? They will live, as long as you comply with whatever I order you.”

Geld: “Of course master.”

Clayman: “Grins” “Good, let's get started then.”

Clayman then activated his quirk “Marionette Master” . Glowing red strings wrapped around Geld's head, arms, and legs. His eyes glowed red, showing that he was under the effect of Claymans quirk.

Clayman: “Now, rise my puppet.”

Geld rose to his feet as the strings dissipated, his eyes still glowing red.

Clayman: “Now, come with me”

Geld followed Clayman to a different room. In there, was the rest of Geld's family, also under the effect of “Marionette Master”. This is the reason why geld decided to serve under Clayman, so he wouldn’t use his family. However….

Clayman: “Geld…. Use your quirk “Starved” devour them all but one ....”

Geld proceeded to use his quirk, which allowed him to gain power based on what he eats. Eating other humans however, gave the most increase in power. So once Geld finished his command, he grew in size, and vastly in power.

Clayman: “Now, my puppet, you are the Orc Lord, Geld.”

Clayman’s face twisted into a sadistic grin and he started laughing maniacally. His plan was taking shape, and soon the world would know him for what he was. The world wouldn’t see him as some clown…. No they would see him as a demon lord, one they would all bow down to, or be devoured.

(thought communication)

3rd Person POV

Today is around two weeks prior to Rimuru revealing his reason to be a hero to Izuku, and they’ve been training at Dagobah beach everyday here. Rimurus plan is strict and has a tight schedule, but following it will pay off for the both of them

Currently Izuku is getting his ass handed to him by Rimuru, who he hasn’t been able to land a good hit on yet. Rimuru’s training is rough, but effective. Izuku has been learning quite a lot about combat styles, and ways to counteract attacks from Rimuru. They’ve mostly been training their hand-to-hand combat, which would be best for Izuku to learn first in terms of fighting.

Izuku has gotten better, because at first he could barely even throw a punch at Rimuru, and had no sense of how you should move your body for better effectiveness. This was the first thing Izuku was taught. How he can punch effectively, while integrating how hard he should punch, and where he should punch.

The styles he was being taught were based around a few forms of martial arts, which mostly focused on precise and fast attacks that would hit vital or weak points, rather than brute strength, which Izuku didn’t have much of anyway.

Despite him getting better, his attacks were still easy to read so he was being thrown around by Rimuru again, after getting his arm caught.

Izuku: “OOuuff!” Izuku had just been slammed on the ground again by Rimuru, and he was getting kinda upset about being thrown around.

Rimuru: ‘Phew” “You good man? Was I too rough with that?”

Izuku: “uhg. No no it’s fine. I just wish I could get stronger faster, so I wouldn’t be a dang ragdoll over and over.”

Rimuru: “Welll you can’t rush progress unfortunately, but you are getting better! Your attacks are just too predictable.”

Izuku: “They’re predictable?”

Rimuru: “Yeah, it's like you don’t leave me guessing where you're gonna hit next, something just shows where the next hit is going to be, or your attacks are just so similar.”

Izuku: “Are you sure you're not just using one of your skills, Rimuru?”

Rimuru: “GASPS” “Do you doubt my ability to fight without them??”

Izuku: “Pales” “No No No No, I just thought that-” Before Izuku could finish he took a punch in the stomach, which sent him far back, landing on his back with the wind knocked out of him.

Izuku: “whaaat wass thaaat forrrrr???” he said while clutching his stomach.

Rimuru: “THAT, was for what you did three days ago!” He said matter-of-factly.

Izuku: “YOU'RE STILL MAD ABOUT THAT??”

Rimuru: “Of course I’m still mad! You remember what you did??”

—FLASHBACK—

It was a Tuesday, and Rimuru asked Izuku if he wanted to come over to his house after school, which luckily ended early due to a fight that had broken out between a hero and a villain near the school. This was the first time Izuku had been over to Rimuru’s house since they met, and of course, Izuku was ecstatic about it.

Izuku had been asking over and over about Rimuru’s family, and if he shouldn’t do anything when meeting them, he was obviously worried for no reason, which Rimuru kept trying to tell Izuku, but to no avail. Rimuru said he would explain about his family's property when they got there, because he thought Izuku would be kinda shocked, which confused Izuku.

They arrived at Rimuru’s house, and Izuku was in fact, quite shocked with what he saw. The property was in a not very populated neighborhood that had a lot of open land. His family's whole property was about five acres (217800 square feet). That was shared by Rimuru’s mom and dad, along with some of their extended family, like Rimuru’s Aunts and uncles, and his mom’s parents.

They had a big house that was about 4,500 square feet, that had a pool, with a hot tub, a tennis court, a small soccer court, a big garden that had all kinds of plants, with a small moat in it. They had an extra shed that was a gym, which had top grade equipment, in fact there was a lot more fancy stuff around here, than Izuku had anticipated.

Izuku: “Rimuru…. Are you secretly rich and never told me?”

Rimuru: “Ehhhh it depends on how you define “rich” really. Like we aren't “rich, rich” but my family owns a successful business that is a worldwide institution, so… we have good money.”

Izuku: “This is a little more than “good” money Rimuru! I mean just how many buildings are on this property??”

Rimuru: “Uhhh five?”

Izuku: “FIVE??”

Rimuru: “Yea there's my house, the barn, the two houses my aunts and uncles have, and my grandparents house.”

Izuku: “Scoffs” “I can’t believe you never told me…” He wasn’t mad at Rimuru, he just doesn’t see how this is something Rimuru decided not to share.

Rimuru: “WELL I'm sorry! I just didn’t think it was that important to mention. Well, whatever, just follow me to my house ok??”

Izuku: “Ok, ok, just don’t be upset when I keep freaking out about the stuff you have.”

Rimuru: “Even though you already know you're still gonna freak out?”

Izuku: “Yep!”

Rimuru: “SIGH” “Ok fine.”

With that, they walked to the front door of Rimuru’s house. Rimuru took a key out of his pocket and unlocked the door.

Rimuru: “MOM I’m home! And I brought a friend!” He shouted

After waiting for a few seconds Izuku saw someone turn a corner, and he immediately blushed. She was a tall woman, with a slender figure, who had long blue hair that was a bit darker than Rimuru’s. She had white eyes that seemed to glow a bit, much like Rimuru’s eyes. She was

Aomi: “Hello there! You must be Midoriya right? I’ve heard a lot about you!”

Izuku: “A-ah, Y-yes! I’m Midoriya Izuku! But you can just call me Izuku if you want.” Izuku shook Aomi’s hand, while Rimuru just watched with interaction with an annoyed look on his face.

Aomi: “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Izu-chan! Rimuru has been talking about you a lot!”

Izuku: “Izu-chan?-”

Rimuru: “MOM! THAT IS NOT-”

Aomi: “Not what? It’s true, don't deny it~”

Rimuru: “UGH, MOOOOMMMM! WHATEVER! Let's go Izuku!” Rimuru grabbed the still confused Izuku’s arm and dragged him away towards his room.

Along the way Izuku was able to get glimpses of more of Rimurus house. Despite him claiming that his family was not rich, Izuku had spotten plenty of appliances, and furniture that were quite fancy. Why they had two tv’s in their living room, Izuku didn’t know.

They got to Rimuru’s room, and he quickly opened it. And, yet again, Izuku was shocked by what he saw. Rimuru’s room was big, like twice the size of his own. With its own bathroom, and big closet. He had a big bed that had a roof over it, that was made with a pattern that obviously was hard to make. He had three dressers that had collectibles all on top of them. He had a big tv stand filled with games or discs for movies, an xbox s, a ps5, a nintendo switch, an oculus quest three, a wii, and a big tv.

On the left corner he had a freaking large gaming setup with three monitors, and what he could only assume was an expensive pc. He even had an expensive looking gaming chair! Overall, Izuku was just baffled by what Rimuru had in his room, and he kept saying his family wasn’t rich. He is seriously doubting that.

Izuku: “Rimuru… now you really can’t convince me that your family isn’t rich because I swear, the stuff in your room is more expensive than the stuff I have in my whole house!”

Rimuru: “OK, that is very exaggerated Izuku, and do you realllly have to keep talking about that? I know you said you were going to, but c’mon!”

Izuku: “Alright, alright, fine, fine. I won’t talk about you being spoiled.”

Rimuru: “I’M NOT SPOILED??”

Izuku: “Pff, sure, whatever you sayy.”

Rimuru: “Whatever. Anyway, make yourself at home, I’m goin’ to see if my dads home, i’ll be right back.”

Izuku: “Ok.”

Even though Rimuru told Izuku to “make himself at home” Izuku had a hard time doing so. It was just he was worried about him being around all this possibly expensive stuff, and he really didn’t want to mess anything up.

So he just sat on the bean bag chair in the corner. He started thinking about what Rimuru and him were going to do today, and he was getting excited, thinking he might teach him some cool new combat techniques, or show off some of his cool powers. As he was eagerly waiting in Rimuru’s room he heard some commotion outside.

Izuku: “I know he wanted me to stay, but I wanna check out what's going on.” He said as he got up and out the door.

He poked his head around the corner, and was quite surprised with what he saw. Rimuru was being hugged by a woman with pink hair, and a man standing next to them looking amused. He was tall, with red hair, and eyes.

???: “AHHHH! I missed you so much Rimu! How are you doing??”

Rimuru: “Aggghhhh, I missed you too, but I c-cant breaaaathhh!” He said and then the woman looked surprised and released Rimuru.

???: “Oh! I’m sorry! You alright?”

Rimuru: “Yes, yes I’m fine. Hey uncle beni” He said to the man who was watching this ordeal.

???: “Hey kid how you doing?” He ruffled Rimuru’s hair.

Izuku: “Uhhhhh? Rimuru?” He said, which made Rimuru spin around and look behind him to see Izuku was there.

Rimuru: “Oh, hey Izuku! Sorry I made you wait, but c’mere don’t be shy!” Izuku blushed at this comment.

Izuku: “I’m not shy! Shut up!”

Rimuru: “Yea, yea sure. Anyway, Izuku, This is my uncle Benimaru, and my aunt Shuna, their relatives from my mothers side.”

Benimaru: “Nice to meet ya kid, Izuku was it? Hope Rimuru Isn't giving you too much trouble?”

Rimuru: “Wha?? Why would I be giving him trouble??”

Benimaru: “C’mon kid, you were always a troublemaker and you know it.”

Rimuru: “HMPH” He grunted and looked away, he seemed a bit embarrassed.

Benimaru: “Heh, and this is my little sister Shuna.” He gestured towards her, and she gave a warm smile.

Shuna: “It's nice to meet you!” She said, bowing a little to Izuku.

Izuku: “Yea! I’m Izuku Midoriya, it’s nice to meet you both! And to be honest, Rimuru here has given me a little trouble.” He said with a smirk, as he gave a little side eye to Rimuru, who looked betrayed.

Rimuru: “WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? CMON IZUKU BE COOL!” He said while looking like he wanted to strangle Izuku.

Benimaru: “Hehe, oh Rimuru, you’ll never change will you?”

Rimuru: “UUUUGGGHHHH.” Rimuru was obviously getting annoyed, but he looked so embarrassed that Izuku had to suppress a laugh.

Just then they heard a door burst open, and they saw a woman who was, well endowed, and was even taller than Benimaru, with light purple hair, and she was wearing what looked like a purple business suit.

Izuku blushed at the sight of her, and looked away. He wondered why so many people in Rimuru’s family had some kind of defining feature that made them look amazing.

???: “RIMURU! HI, HEY RIMURU! HOW ARE YOU DOING?? WHO’S THAT??” She was yelling and was obviously excited, as she ran over and hugged Rimuru.

Rimuru: “Heyyyy, aunt Shion, I’m doin’ fine, and this is my friend Izuku Midoriya.” He gestured to Izuku and, he waved, still flustered because of the woman.

Shion: “Hey, hey Midoriya! It’s nice to meet you! Hope Rimu isn’t giving you trouble!”

Rimuru: “OK, WHAT IS WITH EVERYONE SAYING I CAUSE TROUBLE!?!” Rimuru yelled, looking more annoyed than ever, and he was clutching his head.

Shion: “HAHAHAH! You're as easy to tease as ever, Rimu!” She said cheerfully as Rimuru was looking very irritated.

Shuna: “Oh Rimuru! I just remembered I have some outfits I made that I would like you to try on!”

Rimuru’s face morphed from one of anger to surprise to scared, which Izuku had no idea what was wrong with the prospect of trying on an outfit.

Rimuru: “Uh-uh-uh-uh no thank you! I-I gotta go hang out with Izuku! Yes! We have plans for today, soooo we can't stay long! Yup!” He said while stammering, and Izuku still had no idea what was wrong here.

Izuku: “Uhhhh, no we don’t Rimuru, you haven’t told me anything about what we were gonna do today?” He said, oblivious to Rimuru’s inevitable peril.

As Izuku said that, Rimuru turned to Izuku with a face that had betrayal written all over it. He was mortified, and Izuku was still oblivious as to why.

Shuna: “Oh! Well if you don’t have any plans then you're free to try them on right?”

Rimuru: “Uhhhhhh…….” He couldn’t find any words to say as he realized his doom was creeping ever closer.

Shuna: “You want to join in too Shion?”

Shion: “OF COURSE! Rimu always looks so cute in the outfits you make him! You want to come too new kid?”

Izuku noticed Rimuru start shaking his head repeatedly, but chose to ignore it.

Izuku: “Sure, I guess. It could be fun.” When he said this, Rimuru gave him a deadpan stare that just bore into Izuku.

Shuna: “Great! I’ll get the outfits out of the car! Shion, take them to the dressing room please!”

Shion: “Of course! Let's go boys!” She said as she dragged Rimuru there and Izuku followed

Izuku: “They have a whole dressing room too?? Sheesh..” Izuku couldn’t help but be baffled at all the intricacies of the Tempest household. What next there would be an indoor theater??

Rimuru still had that deadpan stare as he was being dragged by Shion to the dressing room, and it was solely faced at Izuku. Izuku was still confused as to why Rimuru was so reluctant to try on the clothes that Shuna made.

When they arrived in the dressing room, Shion was getting Rimuru set up to try on the clothes. Shuna had arrived soon after with a box, and Benimaru had been carrying two. This was what Izuku assumed the clothes were being kept, and was surprised at the amount that would most likely be in those boxes.

Authors Notes: In case it crossed your mind, no they don’t strip Rimuru down for this, they just put the clothes on over the ones he already has mk?

Shuna opened one of the boxes which revealed a variety of different outfits for Rimuru to try on. Izuku sweatdropped at some of the outfits, as he was now getting an idea of why Rimuru was being so reluctant to do this.

Shuna: “Here try this one on!” She said as she and Shion put on a fancy looking suit on Rimuru, and Izuku was baffled at the sheer speed they were able to put something like that on Rimuru. Usually it took him like ten minutes to put a suit on…. He wasn’t the best at that ok?

Shion: “How about this one!” She put him in a samurai outfit, which Izuku had no idea how it fit in that box, but he wasn’t going to question it.

Over the course of about thirty minutes, they put Rimuru in many different outfits. Such as frilly dresses, punk fits, more suits, a farmer outfit, a cat outfit? All kinds of styles one would see in like an old movie or something, there was many to be had.

Shuna: “Hey Izuku, want to choose an outfit?” She asked

Izuku: “Uh, sure! Why not?”

Izuku went over to one of the boxes and looked around at the assortment of outfits, until he saw one that he knew would incriminate him with Rimuru, but that didn’t matter much in the moment.

Izuku: “How about this one?” He held up a bunny suit that seemed kinda revealing, and don’t get Izuku wrong there was no perverted intention here at all, he just wanted to mess with Rimuru as much as possible.

Upon seeing this, Rimuru’s face looked even more mortified if that was possible, then it turned into a cold one that would strike fear into the heart of anyone who saw it, and anyone could tell that he was planning revenge with the way he looked at Izuku.

They got Rimuru in the outfit, and it indeed was revealing . Not in a too excessive way, but still. And Rimuru had a face that just showed he was feeling, which was starting to scare Izuku, he hoped Rimuru would forgive him.

A while later after they put all the outfits up, Shion, Shuna, and Benimaru were hanging out with Rimuru’s mom and dad, which was Izukus first time meeting Rimuru’s dad, so he Introduced himself.

Samuel: “Nice to meet ya kid, hope Rimuru isn’t giving you any trouble.”

Despite this comment Rimuru had been dead silent for a while, occasionally talking with his relatives, but not to Izuku. Izuku was getting worried that he really made Rimuru mad. He didn’t want to lose Rimuru so soon.

After all his relatives went home, Rimuru and Izuku headed back to Izuku’s house. Rimuru used his wings to fly Izuku to his house. They were both quiet the whole time, and the tension was palpable. When they landed Izuku was fidgeting nervously, hoping his friendship with Rimuru was fine.

Izuku: “Ok… uh… I’ll see you some other time Rimuru…?” Upon saying this, Rimuru looked up at him with a big smile, that was almost scary.

Rimuru: “Of course! I’m a little busy for the next few days, so I'll message you when we’ll meet up again, ok?”

Izuku: “Oh, ok! Yea! Just tell me when, I look forward to it!” Izuku was relieved that Rimuru still wanted to see him, but he didn’t like the look he was giving him.

Rimuru: “Yes….. I look forward to it as well~” He said with a grin that sent shivers down Izuku’s spine.

Rimuru: “Bye bye Izuku!” He said as he flew off.

Izuku: “Uh, bye Rimuru!” Izuku said, but he still couldn’t get that sinking feeling out of his stomach. He had no idea what was in store for him.

- –3 Days Later—

It was early in the morning, and Izuku was still tired while eating breakfast. Then he felt his phone vibrate, he looked at it and it was a message from Rimuru. It said that he wanted to meet Izuku at Dagobah beach for training. Izuku was happy to hear from Rimuru, he wondered what kind of training Rimuru had for him. A while later Izuku arrived at the beach, and saw Rimuru waiting there for him.

Izuku: “Hey Rimuru! How are you doing?”

Rimuru: “Hey Zuku! I’m doing good! Are ya ready for today's training?”

Izuku: “Yea! What are we doi-”

Before Izuku could finish he took a punch to the stomach. Rimuru had moved so fast that Izuku couldn’t see him move toward him. And. It. Was. Painful. Izuku had landed on his back, clutching his stomach.

Izuku: “Whyyyy did youuu doo thatttt?”

Rimuru: “Today’s training! Hand-to-hand combat! You must be prepared for anything!” Rimuru said cheerfully as Izuku was slowly getting up, still clutching his stomach.

Izuku: “Uggghhh, ok but please don’t do that again…”

Rimuru: “Surrreeee…’

—Back To The Present—

Rimuru: “Betrayal hurts, don’t it Midoriya?”

Izuku: “Yeaaa, yea it does…”

Rimuru: “Ok, ok I won’t punch you anymore. Also, do you want to come over to my house again?”

Izuku: “Uh, sure! What are we going to do?”

Rimuru: “Oh, you’ll see…” He said with a sly grin, which made Izuku have that sinking feeling in his stomach again.

—Later—

Izuku: “Hey thanks for flying me here again Rimuru! You, uh, want to tell me what we're doing?”

Rimuru: “Yea! Follow me!” He said, sending shivers down Izuku’s spine with how he said it.

Rimuru led him through the house and to the dressing room.

Izuku: “What are we doing here Rimuru? You gettin’ dressed up again~?” He said mockingly

Rimuru: “No. But you are~!”

Izuku: “...What…?”

Just then Shion and Shuna came out holding an assortment of different outfits, and Izuku’s fate was just starting to dawn upon him. He looked over at Rimuru.

Izuku: “This is revenge…. Isn’t it?”

Rimuru: “You betcha! Now! Let's get you dressed up Izu!”

Over the next few hours Izuku went through the torture that Rimuru did, all the while Rimuru was taking pictures and laughing at his expense throughout the whole thing. This is when Izuku declared in his mind.

Izuku’s Thoughts: “I will never make fun of Rimuru again, unless I want to go through this hell…”

TC Rimuru: (Damn right Izu)

Izuku: “AHH!”

{{....}}- Sage talking

(thought communication)

3rd Person POV

The Orc Lord, the puppet creation of Clayman. He was currently in a state of unconsciousness, residing in a random abandoned building that Clayman had rented out to house the beast. Speaking of Clayman, he was currently going over his plans for the Orc Lord with his trusted allies of the Moderate Harlequin Alliance, Tear, Laplace, and Footman.

They were conversing about the next steps to fuel the orc lord's power. As he was right now, he wouldn’t be able to beat any of the top ten pro heroes in Japan, but when he consumed the quirks that would be most ideal, he would be able to match up. Since the security of quirk databases wasn’t all that good these days, and because you could find most of anything on the internet, finding the needed quirks was rather easy.

Getting the quirks was the hard part. Since they obviously couldn’t bring this behemoth wandering around without raising suspicion, they needed to bring the people to him for consumption. So they started planning their methods for getting people they needed, whether it be by conventional means or not, it didn’t matter.

Clayman: “So.. Do we understand the plan?”

Tear: “Yup! Yup! This is gonna be exciiiting!” She said cheerfully.

Footman: “Yes sir. This is sure to succeed.”

Laplace: “While it is a decent plan, there isn’t much room for adaptation if we run into unexpected interference Clayman. Do you have a plan for that?”

Clayman: “Listen Laplace, I have accounted for everything, there is no reason that anyone will suspect us. And if we just so happen to run into someone snooping around, then i’ll just control them and feed them to the pig.” he said just oozing overconfidence.

Laplace: “SIGHS. Fine Clayman, but you still better be ready for anything ok?” He asked with a hint of concern.

Clayman: “Yes, yes Laplace, no need to worry. Everything will fall into place, and the world will understand what we are. Trust me my friend.”

Laplace: “Alright. Good luck Clayman.” Laplace was still concerned about this plan. While he didn’t often show it, he thought of Clayman as a dear friend, and knew that his overconfidence could lead to his downfall.

Clayman: “Alright, let's get this plan into motion. Tear! Footman! You're up.”

Tear & Footman: “Yes sir!” They said before heading off.

Clayman: “Laughs” “Yess. Soon Laplace, we will be known across the world, not for being a couple of clowns, but for how they will fear us, and bow to us.” He said rather maniacally.

Laplace: “If we don’t want to be seen as clowns, then why do we keep wearing these costumes?”

Clayman: “We-well uh… I suppose this is just our temporary calling card. But when we succeed, we can discard these.”

Laplace: “Heh, alright Clayman. I’m going to go get my part prepared, I’ll see ya later.” He said and walked off.

Clayman: “Alright, goodbye Laplace.” He said as he walked off as well.

Clayman walked toward a holding bay within this building, this was the place where the orc lord was being held. He was just sitting in the corner, unmoving, waiting for whatever command he would be given.

Clayman: “Be ready pig. Soon we will make you into the ultimate puppet, and nothing will be able to stand in our way.” Geld didn’t react to this, but he was still ready at any point to obey an order. A large grin spread across Clayman's face, and he yet again began maniacally laughing.

Scene Change: Aldera Middle School (One Day Later)

Within Aldera middle school, a class was being held to which some familiar faces resided. Izuku Midoriya was just absentmindedly taking notes, just the information he would need for a test. Ever since he met Rimuru, these aspects of his life became much more mundane, as he now had something to look forward to after school.

Then the back of his chair was kicked. He heard snickering, but didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. It was his childhood friend Katsuki Bakugou, along with his band of lackeys. Izuku had been able to avoid them recently, at least after school, but that only made what happened during school worse.

His chair got kicked again, and again, and again. Then his pencil broke due to his desk being shaken from the kicks. He groaned in annoyance, he just wanted to get through this day so he could see Rimuru. Speaking of Rimuru, he had been helping Izuku with more than just physical training. He was also training his mental. For the most part it was Izuku’s confidence that Rimuru had helped with. It was obvious Izuku didn’t have all that much confidence when it came to things like standing up for himself.

Rimuru knew that if he didn’t have enough confidence to take charge of his life, that would spell trouble for him in the future, even more than it already had. So Rimuru had been making Izuku do various tasks that would require him to take charge, and defend himself. While Rimuru’s methods did inconvenience some of the randoms involved, it eventually had a noticeable impact on Izuku.

Because of this, Izuku had been getting much less patient and tolerant of Katsuki and his lackey's antics, which is why he had used methods to avoid them after school. Most of which involved Rimuru evacing him, but it was effective. Unfortunately, during the day didn’t leave much room for Izuku to avoid them, so he had to put up with their crap. Even though Rimuru had encouraged him to stand up for himself from them, he still didn’t want to anger his childhood friend more than he already did.

So he just sucked it up, and brought out a new pencil from his backpack, continuing writing his notes. They seemed to stop kicking his desk for now, but Izuku knew that they would bother him when class was done. He really wasn’t looking forward to that.

Soon enough after the teacher’s ramblings were done, he dismissed the class, and informed them about their homework. Izuku got all his stuff packed up, and put his backpack on. He was trying to get out there as quickly as possible, but that would prove to be ineffective.

Katsuki: “HEY, NERD! Where do you think you're going in such a hurry huh?” He said as he moved closer to Izuku.

Izuku decided that instead of just standing there and letting it happen, he would just try to get out of this situation. So he quickly walked away from them and out of the classroom, trying to get to the spot where Rimuru would be. Katsuki and his lackey’s were confused for a second, they had never seen Izuku just walk away from them like that.

Katsuki: “WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING NERD!? GET THE HELL BACK HERE!!” He yelled as he stormed off after Izuku, his lackey’s following close behind.

Izuku started running toward where Rimuru would be waiting for him, he just needed to get there quickly and he wanted to avoid conflict. He heard Katsuki not far behind him, still yelling incoherent threats and curses. He had just made it out of the school and was getting close to the spot where Rimuru would meet him.

But just as he turned a corner, his foot got caught on something, causing him to trip and fall on the ground. He tried to get up but he felt a foot on his back, and pushed him back into the ground. He looked up and saw Katsuki standing over him, with a feral grin on his face, and his lackey’s had just arrived behind him, they were smirking as well.

Katsuki: “You… really thought you could run from me… YOU DAMN DEKU!” He yelled loudly

Izuku: “kacchan…”

Katsuki: “SHUT UP! YOU DARED TO RUN AWAY, SO NOW, I’M GOING TO BEAT SOME SENSE INTO YOU!” He said. Then he raised his hand, sparks popping from it.

Izuku knew this was going to hurt, but he would just take it and ask if Rimuru could help him with the injuries later. He braced himself for the pain, but when he heard the explosion, it didn’t hit him. He looked back up and saw Katsuki’s arm in the air, his hand still smoking. And wrapped around his arm, was a silk thread, coming from up in the air.

Rimuru: “Well, well, well, what do we have here? An angry dog begging for attention is it?” Izuku looked up, and he felt his chest warm up in happiness.

Rimuru descended to the ground with the silk thread still wrapped around his arm. He yanked his arm backwards, causing Katuski to fall back, and off Izuku. He used this chance to get up off the ground, he ran around Katsuki’s lackey’s, who didn’t even try to stop him. He stopped next to Rimuru’s side, who gave Izuku a little side smirk, before becoming serious again.

Rimuru: “So… We finally meet in person, Bakugou Katsuki. I’ve heard many shitty things about you! And I must say, you definitely live up to your reputation!” He said while sounding somewhat cheerful, but Izuku knew that was just a facade.

Katsuki: “HAH?? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?! LET ME GO!” He yelled as more explosions blasted off his hands.

Rimuru: “Fine, fine.” He said as he brought the threads back. Katsuki got up off the ground, and looked at Rimuru with a scowl.

Katsuki: “So who the hell are you huh?? Why are you defending that quirkless loser??”

Rimuru: “Names Rimuru Tempest, I’m Izuku’s best friend!”

Katsuki: “Pfff. HAHAHAHA! YOU?? HAHAHAHA! If you're his friend, that must mean you're incredibly weak! That quirk of yours is as useless as you are!” He said with a rabid grin as more sparks popped from his hands.

Rimuru: “Oh no you're mistaken! That wasn’t my quirk! It was just something from them. And I’m more powerful than you could ever be.”

Katsuki: “HAH?? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON ABOUT?! ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME?!?” He yelled as even more sparks popped off his hands.

Rimuru: “Why yes! Yes I am underestimating you! Someone like you can be so easily manipulated due to your ego and complexes! You’d never be a good hero like that!” Rimuru said matter-of-factly, while Izuku was just staring at him dumbfounded by what Rimuru was saying.

Katsuki: “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY TO ME?!! I’M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU USELESS BASTARD!!! He yelled as he charged at Rimuru, explosions popping out of his hands. All the while Rimuru remained calm, just standing there with a smile on his face with his hands behind his back.

Katsuki held his hand up prepared to blast Rimuru, but right before he did, Rimuru shoved Izuku out of the way, and side stepped. He moved out of the way right before Katsuki exploded them, so he missed. Katsuki yelled and swung at him again, trying to explode him again. But Rimuru just dodged again.

Katsuki: “STOP DODGING AND FIGHT YOU COWARD!!” He yelled as he swung at Rimuru again.

Rimuru dodged again but this time he spun on his heel and kicked Katsuki in his side with his other leg. He kicked him hard. Katsuki yelled out as he was thrown into a wall from Rimuru’s kick. He was clutching his side in pain. Rimuru just continued to have his hands behind his back, smiling as Katsuki got up, who was seething with rage.

Katuski: “WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING AROUND HAH?!? YOU THINK YOU’RE BETTER THAN ME!?!” He yelled as he charged at Rimuru yet again, not learning from his mistakes.

This of course is exactly what Rimuru wanted. He smirked as he stood there and waited for Katsuki to get closer. When he reached him and tried to explode him again, Rimuru dodged. But Katsuki was ready for that so he used his other hand to try and explode Rimuru. But Rimuru jumped up and over Katsuki, kicking the top of his head in midair. While Katsuki was trying to recover from the last hit, Rimuru swept his legs with his own.

As Katsuki was falling Rimuru Kicked him in the side again, launching him down the walkway. But this time Rimuru didn’t wait for Katsuki to get back up. He rushed over to where Katsuki was still trying to recover from the hits, but before he could get on his feet, Rimuru kicked him in the chest. Which knocked him down again. Katsuki was now on his back, and Rimuru stomped on his chest.

Rimuru: “Sigh” “You really are disappointing. I expected you to fight back more but…. You just proved to me just how weak you really are. You must understand that if you let your emotions and ego get the best of you in a fight, you’ll die if it's a real one.” Rimuru said coldly, while Katsuki’s eyes widened as he stared back up at Rimuru. What surprised Izuku the most was that Katsuki hadn’t tried to blast Rimuru off him.

Rimuru just looked down at him for a minute until he stepped off him. Katsuki gasped as he was able to get enough air back in his body. Rimuru just walked away from him silently, with a cold expression on his face. But when he reached Izuku he smiled brightly and his whole demeanor completely changed.

Rimuru: “Alright! Let's go Izuku!” He said as he grabbed Izuku, and brought his wings out. Rimuru jumped and they flew off, leaving Katsuki and his lackey’s shocked on the ground. Katsuku was just sitting on the ground, quiet, as he looked at Rimuru and Izuku flying away. His lackey’s rushed over to him.

Lackey 1: “Hey man, you good? That crazy bitch roughed you up!”

Lackey 2: “Yeah man! She beat the crap outta you!”

Katsuki: “Be quiet..”  He said. He was quiet, which was strange for him in general, and even stranger because of what just happened.

Katsuki just got up and brushed his clothes off a bit. He found his backpack and picked it up. He then just started walking away, much to his lackey’s confusion.

Lackey 1: “Hey Bakugou what are you-”

Katsuki: “I’m going home you extras.” He said as he continued to walk away. His lackeys still didn’t know what was up with him. But they chose not to dwell on whatever was happening, so they just took their leave as well.

The walk home felt like an eternity for one Katsuki Bakugou. He had never been in a position where he had felt like this. Rimuru’s words had hung in his mind, they unwillingly kept replaying, until he just decided to focus on them. He didn’t know why this extras words were affecting him so much, but he couldn’t stop thinking about them. A cause of this might be because no one had dared to speak to him like this. Everyone his whole life would just tell him how great he is, and how he was destined to become a powerful hero.

But this person… They didn’t say anything like that. They humiliated him, taunted him, and looked down on him. He should hate this person with every fiber of his being, but he just didn’t. This person, unlike most, wasn’t afraid to challenge him. They openly called him weak, and pointed out flaws that they saw in him. And Katsuki, for whatever reason, didn’t hate them for it. He kept telling himself how much of an idiot and a weakling that person was. They were just trying to get under his skin, to manipulate him.

But Katsuki was a lot of things, but something he wasn’t was stupid. Each time he told himself that this extra was just trying to manipulate him, he thought back to the words they said. “Someone like you can be so easily manipulated due to your ego and complexes! You’d never be a good hero like that!” He thought of this each time after he told himself that they were manipulating him. And he thought that that was exactly what they had done.

They had manipulated him. Exactly like they said could happen. Their words were embedded in his mind. They stuck with him. Making him think about them. Katsuki thought this might be exactly what they wanted. They wanted him to think about this. Katsuki couldn’t understand why someone he had never met would try and do something like that. But he just knew that was what was happening. He had always been so sure of himself. That he was the best of the best. That he was the one who would surpass all others and come out on top, always. That everyone else was just a pebble in his road to greatness.

But this person so easily took him down. They beat him physically, and made him dwell on the crap they said. He had never faced something like this. He felt defeated, in multiple ways. He hated feeling like this. But he decided to just mull it over later. Right now he just wanted to get back home an- “BOOM”

An explosion in the distance knocked him out of his thoughts. He regained his composure and looked over to where he had heard the blast. In the distance there was a lot of smoke rising from the place he could assume where the blast happened. He could hear distant screams of fear, as people would be running away from the situation. But Katsuki chose to run towards where the blast was. If he was going to be a hero, he decided that he could use some hands-on experience early. His previous demeanor completely melted as he ran. Regaining his confidence and cockiness, he rushed towards the sight.

Scene Change: Rimuru & Izuku In The Air (A few minutes ago)

The pair were flying through the air, at a much slower pace than they could go. This was because there was an unresolved tension in the air, and it needed to be addressed. Izuku knew this, he didn’t want to, but he knew Rimuru wouldn’t let him off the hook. As if he was reading his thoughts (which he might’ve been) Rimuru descended onto a building roof, and set Izuku down before landing himself. He turned around and crossed his arms looking at Izuku with an unimpressed look.

Rimuru: “So.. that's the childhood friend i’ve heard so much about, hmm?”

Izuku: “Whinces” “Yea thats Kacchan… listen please don’t be to hard on him, he’s just-”

Rimuru: “Just what?” Rimuru cut Izuku off.

Rimuru: “Izuku. Listen. I know you’ve known him since childhood and all, and of course that gives you plenty of reasons to defend him. But what he is doing to you. What he had done to you. That doesn’t seem like much of a friend to me.” He said, obviously concerned for Izuku, but while still being stern with his words.

Izuku: “I… I know it doesn’t. But look at it this way! His whole life he’s never been told what he is doing is wrong. Everyone just told him he was the best, and no one challenged him. It’s not his fault he’s like that.” Izuku said, trying to defend Katsuki as much as possible. He wanted Rimuru to understand the bigger picture.

Rimuru: “Yeah I know that Izuku.” Rimuru said, which shocked Izuku. He had never really talked about that aspect of Katsuki with him before. So how would he know?

Izuku: “How do you-”

Rimuru: “It's quite obvious really”

Rimuru: “He obviously has a quirk that is perfect for heroics, no doubt about that. And the way our society works is that people with these perfect quirks are seen as perfect. And no one would try and jeopardize his chances. I get that it’s not all his fault, but he is like that. That is his choice. It’s his choice to make your life a living hell, for whatever insecurities he has that are driving him, that is not all his fault, but he is still doing it! You must understand how awful this is! Do you really want this to keep going on and on, and keep defending him, just because he is your childhood friend?” Rimuru took a long pause for Izuku to process the information. Izuku's head was spinning and he didn’t know what to say.

Izuku: “I…. I….I don’t…..know.” Izuku was at a loss for words. He had always defended Katsuki no matter what he did. Sure there was some resentment in Izuku for what he did to him, but he never hated him or anything like that for it.

Rimuru: “Look… I’m not trying to make you hate him or anything. I’m just saying you put him on a pedestal too much. You seem to idolize him for the wrong reasons is all I’m trying to say. I get that you’ve known each other your whole life, and that really means something to you, but it just seems like it doesn’t mean all that much to him. Again I don’t want to make you hate him, I’m just saying this doesn’t seem like an actual friendship anymore between you two.”

Izuku didn’t say anything. He just stood there and thought for a while. What Rimuru said was right. Even if Izuku really didn’t want to admit it. It had been so long since Izuku had an actual friend he forgot what they were really like. That was Rimuru. Rimuru was an actual friend to Izuku. Katsuki was…. Izuku didn’t know anymore. Even before he met Rimuru he had been getting a more negative look at Katsuki. He hated what he did to him, how he pushed him down, and hurt him. When Izuku had always only supported him and encouraged him. The more Izuku thought about this, the angrier he got. He clenched his fists.

Izuku: “All he ever did was push me away. I tried again and again to be a friend to him. To try and understand him. “Sighs” I don’t know how to feel about him anymore… I’ve known him for so long but… he just doesn’t seem to want anything to do with me…” After Izuku said this Rimuru walked over and grabbed Izuku’s hands, he un-clenched them and held his hands.

Rimuru: “I’m just trying to look out for you ok? I just want you to think about it. Take your time, ok?” He said with concern. While Izuku tried to ignore his blushing self. He just sighed.

Izuku: “Ok. I will. Thank you for helping me Rimuru.” Izuku said with a smile.

Rimuru: “Of course Izuku. Heh, but don’t let me influence you too much ok? As stated by my family, I'm a T r o u b l eM a k e r or whatever.” He said as he released Izuku’s hands, and made a grin.

Izuku started laughing like crazy. He remembered when poor Rimuru was called a troublemaker by basically every member of his family when Izuku went there for the first time. Rimuru had an obvious pout on his face as Izuku continued to laugh at his expense. But as he was laughing a loud “BOOM” immediately made him stop, as the building only a block away from them exploded from the bottom, causing debris to fly everywhere and the ground shook. Rimuru and Izuku looked in shock and horror as people fled the scene, people were hurt, and panicking. The two looked at each other, and had a mutual agreement, nodding to confirm it. Rimuru ran to Izuku and grabbed him, folding out his wings again and flying over to the blast site with Izuku.

Scene Change: Random Abandoned Warehouse (One Day Ago)

In the same abandoned warehouse where the Moderate Harlequin Alliance have set up their base to house the Orc Lord and make their plans, we see two of the members Tear and Footman on their way to start the first part of their part of the plan. Tear is skipping along happily humming whilst doing so, and seems in a cheerful mood still. While Footman walks with purpose, silent and contemplating the details of their plan.

Tear: “This is gonna be so fun ! Don’t you think so??” She said excitedly

Footman: “While I do think this will be quite enjoyable, we still need to be ready, don’t forget that.”

Tear: “I know, I know. But I’m just excited for this! We're finally gonna be able to get rid of these silly clown costumes!”

Footman: “I thought they didn’t bother you much?”

Tear: “Not as much as it does Wy-san! But I’d prefer something else y’know!”

Footman: “Understandable. I myself will be relieved to wear something else for this mission.”

Tear: “Yea! Can’t go around committing crimes while wearing our work outfits! That would raise suspicion~.”

Footman: “Yes indeed it would. Also about the mission, you do understand what we are supposed to do there, yes?”

Tear: “Yes, yes yes. Blow stuff up, nap the target, and bring them back here. I understand it!

Footman: “Good now, let's get the fun started hmm?”

Tear: “HAHAHAH! That line is good! You should use it for work!”

Footman: “I do-”

Tear: “LETS GO!” She said as she ran off. Footman sighed and followed her.

Scene Change: With Izuku And Rimuru (Present Day)

Rimuru was flying toward the site whilst carrying Izuku, they were both determined to help out in any way they could, and avoid conflict if possible. They did know that doing this would probably count as illegal and would most definitely be scolded for this by authorities and their parents, they knew that sometimes real heroes have to face these consequences for the greater good. Their only objective was to help people how they could. They quickly found a place to land around the blast sight and started planning out how they would aid in this situation.

Rimuru: “Ok! So! Our primary focus is to help the people in immediate danger in and around the building! We need to tend to any severe wounds if needed, so if you find someone who's injured bring them to me okay??” He said quickly, knowing that Izuku would be able to process his words.

Izuku: “Alright will do! I’m gonna go-”

Rimuru: “Wait one second!” He said. Then he grabbed Izuku’s arm, and Izuku started to glow a bright orange color then it faded.

Izuku: “Woah! What was that??” He said as he looked at his arm and his body.

Rimuru: “That, that was one of my skills. It put a protective barrier around you that’ll shield you from most damage or attacks as long as it isn’t too intense.” Izuku’s eyes widened and he smiled brightly.

Izuku: “GAHHH That's so cool! I love seeing your skills, man. Thank you! I'll go start helping out!” He said and Rimuru nodded. They both turned and went on their way.

For a while it wasn’t all too difficult to help anyone out who needed it. Thankfully there were minimal people who had any bad injuries, and would require Rimuru’s healing. They met up multiple times so Izuku could bring Rimuru people who needed healing. He placed his hand on the wounded people and they glew a teal color, rather similar to Rimurus hair color, and their wound slowly healed. Izuku hadn’t known that Rimuru could heal people like that, but at this point he wasn’t as surprised at what he could do.

Right as they were getting the last of the people they found out of the building , another explosion came from the back of the room. Izuku and Rimuru immediately looked over to see what caused it. Standing there in the smoke were two figures. One was tall and large, the other was smaller and slender, basically opposites. They were wearing black and white suits with what looked like masks one would wear to an opera. The bigger one had someone draped over his shoulder, she was unconscious and bleeding from her head. Rimuru and Izuku could guess that they were the ones who were responsible for this attack.

Tear: “Well, well!~ It seems we have some new friends to play with~.” She giggled and turned to the other one. “Hey, can I? Can I?” She said to the other one while tugging at his sleeve. He sighed.

Footman: “I suppose, but make it quick, we have more important things to deal with.”

Tear: “Yay!” “Giggles loudly” She said as she started glowing pink.

{{Notice: The individual appears to be growing stronger. It seems her power is linked to someone, but I cannot discern who.}}

She giggled more and started slowly skipping towards Rimuru and Izuku, who were in fighting stances, prepared. Then she stepped and launched forward at very high speeds. Rimuru could process this because of thought acceleration , but she had launched herself at Izuku, who had barely moved in reaction. Fortunately Rimuru quickly reacted using multiple of his skills to block her fist  before it made contact with Izuku’s face. Rimuru grabbed her fist before it hit Izuku. Surprised, the girl villain faltered a bit, Rimuru took this as his chance. In a swift motion he grabbed her wrist with his other hand, turned on his heel and threw her behind Izuku. She hit the wall with a loud bang causing cracks to appear in the wall as she fell back to the ground. Rimuru had used a number of skills to pull that off, such as s trengthen, and physical attack resistance, as well as a skill that boosted his reflexes so he could catch her. He wrapped her in sticky threads so she would be trapped for the time being. He turned around to face the other guy, who hadn’t moved from where he was.

Footman: “Hmm, quite impressive young one, not just anyone your age can block an attack like that. Unfortunately, that also makes you a threat.” He said that putting the girl he had down from his shoulder and got into a fighting stance, clenching his fists.

His foot cracked the ground upon impact, he pushed off the ground which caused it to crack more under his weight. He surged forward at extreme speeds, so fast that Rimuru barely had time to activate though acceleration before his fist was almost right in front of Rimuru’s chest. He just barely managed to dodge his attack by twisting his body and leaning away. The attack caused high speed winds to blow past Rimuru and Izuku. Izuku had jumped backwards from the guy, knowing he wouldn’t stand a chance against him. Unfortunately the man spared Rimuru no time to steady himself. He quickly delivered a right hook at Rimuru, who wasn’t able to dodge it this time. Although with thought acceleration he was able to activate his protective skills again, and turn them up to the most he could manage. The man's fist connected with Rimuru’s chest and stomach area, causing him to fly backwards at high speeds and out the window behind him, crashing into the building across.

Rimuru POV

Needless to say, that punch hurt a lot . I could feel bones being broken, and what were most likely organs being damaged. I flew out the window and crashed into the wall of the building behind us. A glob of blood flew out my mouth as I crashed into the wall and fell to the ground. I could barely breathe as the wind had been knocked way out of me, and I don’t think my lungs were undamaged. I was dazed and struggling to remain conscious, I was in an almost unbearable amount of physical pain. I knew that if I hadn’t activated my protective skills that I would be dead. That punch was too powerful, I couldn’t even get a read on what had happened with him. I knew I wouldn’t be in any shape to do anything like this, so I focused entirely on using my self-regeneration skill, just trying to repair as much damage as I could. I just layed there trying to assess the situation.

(Sage, you got anything?)

{{Notice: Yes. The other individual appears to be able to rapidly gain momentum, while his body had gained a substantial amount of mass. I suspect that is what his power allows him to do}}

(Yea, that makes sense. How should we deal with him? …Once I recover?”)

{{Notice: His power appears to give him an extreme advantage in melee based attacks. I would recommend keeping distance, flight would be optimal.}}

(Alright. Thanks partner.)

{{Notice: Of course master}}

I sighed at the honorifics, I had tried to tell sage that I didn’t want to be called “master” but she did it regardless. I had used thought acceleration to talk with sage so I hadn’t healed much, but just enough to where I could stand. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. I was still very much in pain, and my body was practically ordering me to stop moving, but I still had something I needed to do. ThenI he saw the wall burst open from where I flew out from the main building, and the guy who hit me walked out. I glared at the man, ohh I was pissed, and I wanted to take out some anger with this new strategy. The man on the other hand, made a noise that sounded.. Impressed? And put a hand on his chin.

Footman: “I must say, I thought you catching her was impressive, but taking an attack such as that one and still being alive afterwards, even being able to stand, is much more impressive! I must commend you, you are undoubtedly stronger than you seem.”

Rimuru: “Spits blood, and makes a tch sound” “That, and maybe you're just weaker than you think. Plus, you haven’t seen half of what I’m capable of.” I said that last part aggressively, trying to gauge a reaction out of him.

Footman: “Well then… I look forward to seeing your capabilities. I believe it is time we continue.” He said and got in the same stance he did before.

I had managed to heal more of my body during the interaction, so I was in somewhat better shape, which was good, because I was about to have to focus on fighting rather than healing. The man surged forward again, about as fast as he did the first time. Now though, I dodged up, launching myself off the ground, and bringing out my wings when I was in the air. The wall where the punch landed cracked and collapsed, causing some of the roof to come down. Confused, the man looked around, and then up, only to see me flapping my wings hovering above him. I was staring daggers at him.

Footman: “Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting that. You were right for me to not underestimate you.” He said and lunged up to me at high speeds.

I maneuvered out of the way using my aerobatic advantages, then as the man was still in the air, I used sticky threads again to wrap him up. I knew this wouldn’t last very long due to his intense strength, but I didn’t need very much time. As he was trying to get out, I flew farther backwards and then toward him at high speeds. I activated my body armor skill on my arm and boosted my strengthen skill as much as I could. I raised my fist and it came crashing into his face at high speeds. I could feel the bones in his face move and break, to which I grinned. “Deserved” I thought. There might’”ve been more force than I had anticipated in the hit, as he was launched back down and crashed into the building, a shockwave had been made from my hit which broke a lot of glass and made some of the building crack. Well whatever, I needed to see what happened to him. I flew down slowly, not letting my guard down in case we lunged at me again. The area where he landed was still covered in dusty rubble, so I couldn’t see him.

{{Notice: Extra skill “ Advanced Perception” has been created. Activate skill: YES? NO?”}}

(Oh. Wow. That's convenient. Heh, amazing as always eh sage? Yes activate if you would please)

{{Notice: activating extra skill, thought acceleration is recommended, as it will be needed to process the added information. Activating now}}

The world slowed a bit for me as one of my favorite skills was activated. You really can never go wrong with this skill, it's so damn useful. Suddenly the world around me changed. No it wasn’t the world, it was my vision. I could see so much and it was all so clear, and it was in a 360 degree radius! Was this what having 20/20 vision was like? I could understand why thought acceleration was definitely needed. For anyone else all this information would just fry their brain. But I needed to focus. I could praise sage for this later. I looked down at where the guy had landed, totally not forgetting I didn’t even need to look at him with my eyes to see him. He seemed to still be conscious, but barely. The part of his face where I hit him seemed to be caved in a bit, which was gnarly. I didn’t think my punch would do that but I’m not complaining. He seemed to be trying to get up. I didn’t want to let him, so I flew down to him and stared him down.

Rimuru: “I told you that you hadn’t yet seen what I was capable of. Now, be a good bad guy and stay there.” I said as I activated another one of my skills called paralyzing breath . Which was kinda weird, It was called that but it came out of my hands? But I digress. That seemed to do the trick as when I did that he fell back over and stopped moving. That should keep him there till the police or heroes arrive. Speaking of which, why haven’t any of the police or heroes arrived yet?

{{Notice: The situation here and the absence of authorities are likely connected.}}

(Yeah I thought the same. So this was all carefully planned out huh? Though I suspect two kids getting in their way wasn’t part of the plan heh heh.)

{{Notice: I do not believe your presence here was planned by them. That would be an illogical obstacle on their part.}}

(Wha-?? No! I know that! I was being sarcastic! “Sighs” well whatever- Oh crap! I need to make sure Izuku is ok! I completely forgot about hi-)

Before I could finish my train of thought I heard a loud voice of someone saying “ die?” and then a large explosion rocked the building that Izuku and the villain girl were in. I flew back inside through the wall that I had been punched out of only to see something rather unexpected. That Katsuki Bakugou guy was fighting that villain girl, who still seemed to be wrapped in the threads I put on her earlier. She just kept dodging Bakugou’s attacks while giggling, which only seemed to enrage him further. It was quite the hurmoring sight really. But I couldn’t enjoy it any longer, I needed to find where Izuku had gone off to. I flew around the room, ignoring the explosions, giggles, and angry ramblings. Then I heard someone wince from behind a wall that was blown open, I flew around it and saw Izuku on the ground. He was looking quite beat up, some parts of his clothes were tattered, and his ankle looked hurt.

Rimuru: “Izuku! What happened to you?” I said and landed on the ground, putting my hand on Izuku to heal him.

Izuku: “Groans” “When you got thrown out the window I panicked and tried to find a place to hide, but as the other guy broke that wall the girl villain got up and launched at me. She was strong. Too strong for me. I just blocked as much as I could. But I couldn't even land one hit on her…

“Sighs” I really am weak aren’t I…?” He said this with a sad face, but I just smacked him upside the head.

Izuku: “Ow! What was that for??”

Rimuru: “Stop underestimating yourself idiot! These two are strong, and obviously have been doing this a while. You are inexperienced and freaking thirteen years old, give yourself a break, and stop comparing your strength to mine! OK??” Izuku just stared at me for a moment, with wide eyes, just taking in everything I said. Then he sighed and smiled.

Izuku: “Heh, you always know the best ways to cheer me up don’tcha? Thank you, Rimuru. I definitely needed that.” I smiled softly and gave him a little punch on the shoulder.

Rimuru: “Alright we should go though, I don’t know how long psycho can be distracted for. And by that I mean Bakugou.” I said, and Izuku had to stifle a laugh.

We ran out to the main room where we saw Bakugou still charging around the room, shouting threats and trying to explode the girl villain. She seemed to have finally broken out of the sticky strings that I put her in a while ago. It looked like she was still toying with Bakugou, seemingly not trying to attack him, which was weird. Maybe trying to wear him out. All I knew is that we couldn’t keep this going much longer, it was about time we finished this anyway. So as her back was turned to me while evading Bakugou, I shot some sticky string at her, wrapping her up in it again. She made a noise of surprise, as she fell to the ground. I made sure to tie up her whole body so she would have a much harder time getting out. Bakugou seemed confused for a moment as he looked at the now tied up villian, then he looked up and made eye contact with me and his face contorted into one of rage.

Katsuki: “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EXTRAS DOING HERE!?! He yelled at us.

Rimuru: “I should be asking you the same thing, you rabid dog.” I said with a snarky tone.

Katsuki: “HAH?! WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!” He shouted with sparks popping from his hands.

Rimuru: “I called you a rabid dog! One who is currently foaming at the mouth and barking.” I retorted back, only making him angrier, much to my amusement.

Katsuki: “YOU WANNA GO?! FIGHT ME YOU EXTRA!!” He yelled back, and I smirked.

Rimuru: “Gladly. Come at me baku-Bitch.” I said, igniting flames in my hands, it's been a while since I used this skill to fight. Bakugou grinned farrelly, sparks popping from his hands rapidly. We both got into fighting stances, ready to throw down. We were right about to lunge at each other, when Izuku got in between us holding out his hands.

Izuku: “Can you two cut it out! This is not the time for this! He said, and I was quite surprised with how confident he sounded. Nice

Katsuki: HAH?! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING YA DAMN NERD?! GET OUT OF MY WAY!!”

Izuku: “No! Bakugou, you need to calm down!” To my surprise he seemed to falter, his face seemed confused? And even a little shocked.

Katsuki: “What did you ca-” Before he could finish, Izuku turned to me and started scolding me too.

Izuku: “And you! You should be the mature one here, and not picking these senseless fights! So stop it, and focus on the situation!” I was a little taken back, but I understood. We did have an urgent matter at our hands, can’t waste time fighting this dog. I unignited the flames from my hands and sighed.

Rimuru: “Yeah, yeah you're right. We have more pressing matters to attend to here.” I said and went over to the girl villain who I tied up. I leaned down to her and held out my hand.

Rimuru: “Sorry about this, but I need to make sure you can’t get out again.” I said this and activated one of my quirks, predator . Blue shiny slimy substance shot out of my hand and engulfed the villain girl. That sounds kinda weird but whatever… It didn’t take very long for me to fully consume her and store her in the stomach space.

(Sage, can you analyze her using predator for me? Maybe we can get some use out of her.)

{{Notice: Analysis has already begun.}}

(Heh, I’m not even surprised. You’re always a few steps ahead aren’t ya?)

{{Notice: It is for the benefit of Master.}}

( sighs. Are you ever going to stop calling me that?)

{{Notice: Analyzation has been completed.}}

Of course she didn’t answer that question.

(So what did you find?)

{{Notice: It appears that this individual is the same person as the individual known asTear}}

(WHAT?! You mean that clown girl who’s always on tv??)

{{Notice: Yes, they are the same}}

I was shocked by this. Out of all celebrities to be a criminal I never expected her to be one. Wait.. Actually… It kinda makes sense. Clowns. WAIT. If that's Tear, then is the other one?

  {{Notice: It is most plausible that the other individual is the same as the individual known as Footman.}}

Why you reading my mind-

(Yeah, I thought as much. Can’t believe Footman tried to kill me.)

Again. Clowns.

(And what of the girl’s quirk? You said it was connected to someone else?)

{{Notice: Yes the girl's quirk is connected to another individual. After a thorough analysis it appears that her quirk works by another individual giving her orders, which in turn makes her stronger.}}

(Orders into power? Haven't seen a quirk that works like that before. It seems to be useful though. You think we can make something useful out of the quirk factor?)

{{Notice: It will take time to get a useful quirk factor out of her, but yes it could prove to be beneficial.}}

(Alright. Continue with that, in the meantime I need to get us out of here.)

TC Rimuru: “Izuku”

Izuku: “AH” Izuku jumped at me suddenly talking in his head, to which I smirked. He still needs to get used to that.

TC Rimuru: “You really need to get used to that. Anyway, we need to get out of here now. I’m gonna go find that other guy and consume him too, but then we need to get the heck out of here before authorities get here and we're in deep shit. Also you or bakugou need to grab the unconscious girl that the big guy was trying to take. OK.”

Izuku nodded, albeit looking somewhat reluctant. It was probably about the evading authorities part because of his mindset, but I don’t blame him for that. I looked at Bakugou, who just seemed to be observing us, he looked confused. That made me chuckle under my breath, but more important matters were at hand.

Rimuru: “Bakugou, we need to get out of here now. I’m gonna go get the other guy, you and Izuku get the unconscious girl and go out through the back, I’ll meet you ok?”

Katsuki: “YOU DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO EXTRA!!” Despite him yelling this he… complied? He and Izuku got the unconscious girl and ran to the back of the building and Izuku followed him. I activated my wings again and flew out the wall where I was thrown out of.

I still saw Footman lying there. Obviously paralyzing breath was still in effect. I looked at him and grimaced. His face was still a mess from where I hit it, but I didn’t feel all too bad. He did try to kill me.

Rimuru: “Hello again. You’re gonna join your friend now.”

I said this in a way that sounded like I was going to kill him, but obviously I wasn’t, I just wanted to mess with him. Heheh… is something wrong with me? Anyway. I activated predator again to consume him. It would usually take longer if the target puts up resistance, but he was paralyzed at the moment so he couldn’t. That made things much easier. Once I fully consumed him I talked to Sage.

(I imagine you're already analyzing him?)

{{Notice: Of course Master. Analyzation will be completed soon.}}

(Thanks partner.)

I finished talking to her and flew away. Luckily just as I was hearing sirens in the distance. I flew around the building and saw Izuku and Baku-Bitch running down an alleyway to get to a different street. I flew to them and landed on Baku-Bitch’s shoulders because I could. He seemed to almost trip, but he regained his balance

Katsuki: “WHA?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! GET THE HELL OFFA ME!!” He said, trying to unwrap my hands from his neck.

Rimuru: “Hmmm, nah I’m good. But you better pay attention so you don’t get hit by a car.” I said and he stopped trying to get me off and looked in front of him.

He had kept running so he almost ran out into the street. He managed to stop himself right before he crossed into the street, and I was still holding onto him. We looked around and saw that anyone else around seemed to be paying attention to where the sirens were at, and some people were going to where we were just at. I saw some reporter vans going there. Vultures , I thought. We turned the other way and ran down the sidewalk to get as far away from here as possible. Baku-Bitch had stopped trying to get me off of his shoulders which I found funny. We ran for a while until they stopped to catch their breath. They set the unconscious girl down softly, and Izuku went to bandage her up with some I gave him. Me doing this seemed to remind Bakugou I was still on his shoulders. Only now did Baku-Bitch grab me and throw me off of him. I didn’t hit the ground thanks to my wings though.

Katsuki: “GET THE HELL OFF ME YOU DAMN EXTRA!! YOUR FREAKING HEAVY!!”

Rimuru: “Am I though??” His face seemed to change when I asked this. I knew I was quite light for my age. I both hated and liked this fact.

Katsuki: “Well… no, BUT THAT ISN’T THE POINT!!” He got back into angry dog mode again, and I smirked.

Katsuki: “TELL ME. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING THERE!?! YOU WANTED TO PLAY BIG SHOT HERO OR SOMETHING, HAH!?!” He said, not noticing that what he said was redundant since he did the exact same thing . But it seemed like he wasn’t thinking before he spoke which made sense.

Rimuru: “Well the explosion that I assume you heard as well, happened real close to us so we decided to help some people who needed it. We ran into those criminals trying to take someone and we fought them. What were you doing there? Hm? Trying to play the bIG shOT HerO too, hmm??” I said his words back at him sarcastically to aggravate him. And to my amusement, it worked.

Katsuki: “SHUT UP EXTRA! WERE GONNA CONTINUE OUR FIGHT, OR ARE YOU A COWARD HAH!?!” He said, sparks popping from his hands.

I looked at him unamused. I enjoyed pushing his buttons but I was getting tired of this behavior. So I shot sticky thread at him, wrapping us his whole body. Before he could start setting off explosions, I quickly went to him and used predator to consume him and put him in the stomach space. Izuku looked at me questioningly, but I just waved him off. We stayed around to make sure the girl was ok, and eventually we got a few people who came over to see what was wrong, we made up an excuse as to why she was with us, they bought it and took her off our hands to get her to a hospital. Then I remembered something I needed to address.

(Sage can you make sure nothing happens to them in there, oh and can you analyze Baku-Bitch and his quirk factor? It could be useful.)

{{Notice: Of course Master. I have successfully run a full analysis on the other two individuals and their quirk factors.}}

(Fantastic! Great job Sage. Any useful things about their quirk factors?)

{{Notice: A few uses could stem from the individual Tear’s quirk factor, such as a link between you and another that lets them use a power you wield or lets you use a power they wield.. The individual Footman’s quirk factor has many possibilities, such as extensive boosts in close combat and being able to change momentum in an instant of any object Master touches.}}

(That’s Amazing Sage! Those could be very useful indeed. You always come through dontcha partner?)

{{Notice: It is for the benefit of Master.}}

I sighed again at the honorifics. I don’t think she’d ever stop doing that.

Rimuru: “Izuku.”

Izuku: “Hm?” He turned his head toward me.

Rimuru: “We should go now, we still need to get back home so our parents don’t worry too much about us again. Especially your mom.” I said this and Izuku paled. I found this funny as he did a lot.

Izuku: “OH, Right! Yeah let’s go! I hope my mom isn’t too worried yet.” I smiled and started flying. I picked him up and took off, trying to keep us as unnoticed as possible. I could go invisible, but Izuku couldn’t, and that would just look weird. Like he was being taken by aliens or somethin. Then Izuku asked.

Izuku: “Wait. What are you going to do with those villains? OH, and Bakugou??” He said kinda frantically, thinking I hadn’t already thought of that. Doesn’t he know me well?

Rimuru: “I’ve already thought of what I’m going to do with them, don't worry about it ok?”

Izuku: “Alright alright. Just be careful.”

Rimuru: “With the villains or with Bakugou?”

Izuku: “Both.” He said so sincerely that it just made me laugh, he started laughing as well. What a nice fly this turned out to be.

After a while of flying I managed to find where Izuku lived. It took a while to find familiar streets, but it wasn’t too hard. When Izuku knocked on the door and it opened, his mom came bursting through, checking him all over for injuries again. I laughed as I watched this from the roof of a different building. This was quite nostalgic. After that I headed to a nearby police station to turn in these celebrity-criminal clowns. I knew I couldn’t just walk in and deposit them in front of the police, that would just put me in a bad spot. So I made a quick plan, and it was quite the funny one too.

Scene Change: A few minutes later at a nearby Police station. 3rd Person POV

An officer was just going about his usual day. Nothing much had happened that required his immediate attention, so he assumed it would be a laid back day for him. He sighed and laid back in the seat of his car, just relaxing. All of a sudden, he heard two loud crashes. He scrambled up to see what happened, only to see two tied up people had landed on the hood of his car. He quickly got out to see what the heck was going on. He saw a sticky note on one of the people, so he took it off and read it, it said “ caught these criminals trying to take someone. Deal with them as needed. Sincerely: Your friendly Chaos Creator :).” He put down the note and sighed. Guess it wouldn’t be an easy day after all.

Scene change: With Rimuru in the air. Rimuru POV

I laughed hysterically at what I did. Sure it may have caused some damage to the poor guy's car, but it was worth it. And of course I made my little calling card. The “Friendly Chaos Creator” at his finest. I sighed, hoping I could continue with this streak of pranks without getting caught. I still needed to deposit Baku-Bitch so I flew down to some random street, and landed on a lamp post. I let him out using predator , and he proceeded to very un-elegantly fall down on his butt. He got back up and looked around confused, then he looked up and me and his face contorted into anger again. I smirked.

Katsuki: “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO RO ME SHORT STACK?! GET THE HELL DOWN HERE!!” He yelled up at me, and I just chuckled in amusement.

Rimuru: “Really? Short stack? How unoriginal. Surely you could do better than that eh, Baku-Bitch?” He seemed taken back by that response, but then just started shouting again.

Katsuki: “YOU’RE TALKING ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY FROM UP THERE EH PISS EYE’S?!? GET DOWN HERE AND FACE ME YOU COWARD!!” I snickered again. Really? That was what he came up with??

Rimuru: “Now that’s just immature Baku-Bitch, you really need to figure out something better than that. Anyway, toodles! I have things I need to get to.” I said and started flying away, ignoring the shouts of threats behind me.

I flew for a while until I reached my house. The sun was already setting at this point and I was just tired from a long day. I wanted to sleeeep. I landed in front of my house and walked through the front door. My parents weren’t home as they were out with friends. I think they see me as being responsible enough to not set the house on fire!.... Again… Anyway! I got into my room and quickly took a shower and changed. I slumped down on my bed right after, trying to ignore my racing thoughts. I knew that whatever went down today wasn’t going to be a one time thing. Something bigger was happening behind the scenes, and I needed to figure out what, since I was definitely involved in it now. But that would need to wait for another day. I closed my eyes and quickly drifted off to sleep, it was going to be a long haul for whatever was happening.

Chapter End!

Notes:

Thanks for reading. And side note the "Advanced Perception" skill Sage made is this fic's equivalent of Mana sense, or magic perception. This is because ain't no magicules here so there's no need for that. And yes some of the people who originally come from ttigraas will have their unique skills as their quirks here. Have a good day!

Chapter 7: The Show Must Go On

Some more scarring backstory and more Clowny Chaos.

Notes:

IT IS SUMMER! So, I'll probably be writing more, BUT, I do have summer class, so, I gotta lock in to write more. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter Text

{{....}}- Sage talking

(thought communication)

3rd Person POV

Clayman was sitting in his office, located in the abandoned warehouse that held the Orc Lord. He was clutching his head with both of his hands, rambling incoherently. Then he slammed both his hands on the table, which caused the items on the table to fall about. He was gritting his teeth, his eyes bulging out of his face, very obviously pissed.

Clayman: “DAMMIT. DAMN IT ALL! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO MY PERFECT PLAN?!” He yelled out.

Ever since Tear and Footman got taken into custody, Clayman’s plans have taken a huge blow, and he’s needed to rethink many aspects of it. This of course has been a huge roadblock for Clayman and his future plans, as not only did two of his trusted subordinates/friends get taken in, but he didn’t get that quirk he needed for the Orc Lord. But there was still an unknown factor here. Who had beaten Tear and Footman in the first place? There were no heroes around as they were off helping with other various incidents that Clayman had orchestrated. So what the hell had gone wrong??

Clayman didn’t know. Yet. He would figure out whoever the hell was behind this, and personally feed them to the Orc Lord as they beg for mercy at his hand. He placed one of his hands on his face and started laughing maniacally. In his eyes, his plan coming to fruition was inevitable, and he would soon find himself in control of Japan. Although, unlucky for him, he couldn’t account for two thirteen year old little chaos creators, who were currently doing just that. Creating Chaos.

Scene Change: The Tempest Residence, in the training grounds (yes they have that too)

3rd Person POV

Rimuru was in the training grounds that were installed behind his house. It was surrounded by a forest of trees, many of them seemed to be broken halfway, splintered, burned, etc. And we all know who was responsible. Suddenly one of the trees exploded in fire. We then see RImuru holding two fireballs in his hands, posing like some kind of anime character. He threw both of the fireballs at two different trees, which also exploded upon contact.

Izuku was sitting on the ground behind him. Watching him as he uses his skills, and rapidly taking notes and drawing in his Rimuru dedicated journal. He’d already seen these powers demonstrated by Rimuru, but he hadn’t seen them like this, even if he had it wouldn’t stop him from watching though. Rimuru then touches the ground and a chunk of earth breaks out and starts floating in the air. Rimuru punches the chunk and it goes flying into a tree, breaking it apart from the bottom. Izuku starts writing rapidly again.

Rimuru sighs and looks over at Izuku, who is still writing in his journal. Rimuru smirks and starts walking over to Izuku. He looked up at Rimuru, who was still smirking above him. Rimuru leaned down so he was face level with Izuku and he put his finger on his chin.

Rimuru: “You really have a lot to write about me eh Izuku? And are those pictures your drawing of me? How nice of you~.” Rimuru says this which makes Izuku blush. He instantly closes the journal and holds it to his chest. Rimuru just laughs and puts his hands on his hips.

Rimuru: “Oh don’t be so flustered Izuku, I’m just messin with ya. But really, those are good pictures!” Rimuru said, which didn’t make Izuku’s flusteredness any better, but he did smile and nod.

It had been a week and a half since that incident they found themselves in, and so far, things have been going well. They had heard on the news about what happened, and how the two villains fell onto that policeman's car, as well as the report from the witness. She said she was just going about her normal daily routine, when those two busted into where she was working, she tried to run but the big one grabbed her and the small one knocked her out. She said she just woke up with a few people gathering around her, hearing sirens and seeing panicked people. There had been a report of a few people who gave her to some other people, but those witnesses hadn’t had any specific characteristics to give. Rimuru had suspected Sage had something to do with that part, as he knew they certainly had unique characteristics.

But, both Rimuru and Izuku were glad that they didn’t have to deal with any legal stuff, as that would obviously tell their parents what went down that day, and that was the last thing they needed at this time. Rimuru had done some more digging and found out that Tear and Footman were in custody, but their identities hadn't been revealed yet due to high amounts of resistance and problems. He was annoyed by this, as this just made the whole thing more complex. What’s more that pissed him off, all the credit for stopping the villains and saving the hostage had gone to some more local heroes, which Rimuru could tell most of them were just in it for the fame and fortune, and this would help their stupid rep.

Rimuru looked around the training ground, seeing the destruction he once again caused. He knew that once he had access to more powerful skills he would need to restore a lot of the forest he had damaged, since it made the aesthetic of the area worse, plus he wasn’t one who didn’t care about trees and all. He sighed and looked to Izuku, who was just looking at him. Rimuru smirked, but decided to hold off from anymore teasing, at least for now. He started walking back to the middle of the training grounds, he turned around and gestured for Izuku to stand up. Izuku perked up and set down his notebook, walking over to Rimuru. Rimuru started talking.

Rimuru: “Alright Izuku! It’s time to start your daily training, so let’s stretch and get warmed up first!” Izuku nodded, looking confident. They were already in outfits that were good for training, high quality ones too, which Izuku had teased Rimuru about being spoiled again, to which Rimuru threatened him with being dressed up by his aunts again. That shut him up quick.

Ever since the incident, Izuku had been insistent on Rimuru training him harder, as even with Rimuru’s reassurance, he had still felt really upset with himself for not being stronger and being able to help Rimuru. Rimuru had caved and done as he asked, making their sessions longer, and some of the trainings more difficult. He worked with Sage to adapt the plan he made with Izuku’s new trainings, so he could still get appropriate amounts of sleep, and free time. It wasn’t too hard of a fix, in fact, if Izuku kept up like this he would get his skills a month or two in advance. When he told this to Izuku, he had only gained much more enthusiasm about his new training. Rimuru was happy about this, as it helped Izuku’s mental with confidence. One thing Rimuru had come to notice was despite Izuku’s wavering confidence, his perseverance seemed endless with things he was passionate about, so that certainly helped.

Another thing of importance, was Izuku’s new approach with Bakugou. Since that day Rimuru had laid everything out for Izuku, he had been keeping a close eye out on the two, wanting to see how things have changed, and he must say, he was surprised, in multiple ways. First off, Izuku had been more distant from Bakugou, not bothering to acknowledge him with anything more than a gaze lasting a few seconds. More surprisingly, Bakugou hadn’t been messing with Izuku, sometimes just scoffing at him or nudging him, but never hurting or messing with him. Bakugou’s lackey’s seemed even more surprised than Rimuru by this. Such as when Izuku had blatantly ignored Bakugou, his lackey’s turned to him expecting him to go over and blast Izuku, but he just stayed where he was. Rimuru was glad things had seemed to have changed in this regard, he didn’t want Izuku to have to deal with what was happening any longer, it seriously wasn’t healthy, and his stubborn refusal to let Rimuru kick the ever-living-shit out of Bakugou (again) to teach him a lesson made it so Rimuru could only observe and help with words. Back to the training, Izuku had finished stretching and warming up, then he stood opposite of Rimuru, getting ready.

Rimuru: “Alright Izuku, I’ve finished my third-person internal narration, time to train!” Izuku looked confused at what he said, and his stance faltered.

Izuku: “Wait wha- GAH!” He tried to speak but he took a punch in the gut by Rimuru, who had used that comment to throw Izuku off his guard, a strategy which Rimuru had explained how beneficial could be, but even so he fell for it, which was just Rimuru’s case in point.

Izuku stumbled back, but he kept his footing and managed to regain his fighting stance. Rimuru threw another punch at Izuku, but he dodged. Rimuru did this a few times, but Izuku dodged all his punches. Rimuru smirked at this, Izuku had certainly shown growth in this amount of time, and it impressed him. He threw one last uppercut at Izuku, using some of his strength skills to boost its power. Izuku looked panicked for a split second, but he managed to bend his back down enough to dodge it. Izuku felt how the strike made winds blow past his face, he was glad he dodged that. He then jumped backwards to gain distance from Rimuru.

Rimuru smirked and charged at Izuku again. Their training went on for about forty five minutes with no break, this was to test not only strength but endurance and stamina. When they were finished, the sun was starting to go down, Izuku was breathing heavily, holding his knees and covered in sweat. Rimuru on the other hand, just stretched and smiled, barely sweating. Izuku was really jealous at this time of the skills Rimuru had that made him have so much endurance, and the fact that he probably just had very high natural endurance. As if sensing this, Rimuru looked at Izuku, smiled, and put his hand on his back. Izuku’s body glowed a cyan-ish color, and he felt a wave of energy wash over him. He stood up and smiled, feeling fully refreshed. He punched his fists in the air, seemingly ready to go again. Rimuru just smiled and waved him off, to which Izuku looked surprised and kinda upset. Rimuru saw this and patted Izuku’s shoulder.

Rimuru: “Hey man it’s alright. You did great today! So let’s just chill ok?” He said, Izuku looked up, nodded, even though he had his energy back, he still wouldn’t mind a break.

The pair started walking back to Rimuru's house, Rimuru was walking all confidently and casually, with Izuku glancing over at him occasionally. He wouldn’t say it, but he envy’d Rimuru’s effortless charisma, though he was very appreciative of him helping with his quite low confidence. Rimuru, as if once again sensing Izuku’s feelings, smirked and walked next to Izuku, swinging his arm over his shoulder. Izuku looked surprised, but when he saw Rimuru’s face he just giggled. Rimuru shaked Izuku a bit, which only made him giggle more. Now in a better mood, the two walked into Rimuru’s house and were greeted by Rimuru’s dad.

Samuel: “Hey kiddo’s! How’d your training go?” He asked with his arm over the couch, the tv playing in the background.

Rimuru: “Great! Kicked his ass as usual, but he is getting better! Ain’tcha Izuku?” Izuku blushed a bit at the attention but nodded. Samuel just laughed loudly. One thing Izuku had learned about Rimuru’s father, was that he was quite the eccentric person about a lot of things, not that Izuku minded, but he really could see where Rimuru got it from.

Samuel: “Well don’t go too hard on the kid, can’t have him turning into a puddle now can we?” He said, which made Izuku sweatdrop and look over at Rimuru, who just chuckled at Izuku’s  expense.

Izuku: “Wha- why did you say that?? And why are you laughing at the idea of me becoming a puddle??” He said with an incredulous tone. This just made Rimuru and his father laugh again.

Izuku: “Hmmph.” He said, groaning and walking away from the two and heading into the kitchen, where he just wanted to get himself a snack. He grabbed some chips, and walked outside of a sliding door to get to the patio outside. He walked over to a couch and slumped down, grabbing the tv remote that was on one of the tables out here. And yes, there was even another tv out there, Izuku still found himself being surprised by some of the things around here, but it was less now.

One thing he also noticed recently was that he found himself being less nervous to make himself at home anymore here, despite being surrounded by the luxury of the Tempest residence. It was probably because by now he was coming here almost everyday, and with Rimuru’s family’s reassurances, he was able to relax easier. As Izuku was relaxing, he heard the sliding door open. He looked over and saw Aomi Tempest, walking out with a drink in her hand, looking as elegant as ever.

Izuku: “H-hi miss tempest!” He said with a small blush on his face, he still can’t get over how all of Rimuru’s family have features that make them stand out so much. Amoi just laughed.

Aomi: “Hey Izi-chan. How did training go with Rimuru go? Hope he didn't go too hard on you.” she said as she sat down in one of the chairs, next to Izuku.

Izuku: “A-ah it went good. We’ve been training harder recently, but that’s what I wanted to do. I need to get stronger and I know how much Rimuru can help.” He said, and Aomi chuckled beside him.

Aomi: “Heh, you really do idolize him don’t you?” She asked him with a smile on her face, sipping on her drink.

Izuku blushed a bit, but then his mind went to what Aomi had said. He idolized Rimuru, he saw him as an amazing person and friend, someone who had helped and believed in him when no one else besides his mom had. His mind then went to the conversation Rimuru had with him about Bakugou. How he pointed out he had idolized him too much and for the wrong reasons. Rimuru was right, Izuku knew that. But now, he was idolizing Rimuru. And that brought a smile to his face, for everything Rimuru had done for him, Izuku was glad he was in his life now. As if sensing this Aomi giggled, which made Izuku look over at her. She had her hand on her mouth and was giggling.

Aomi: “That’s good Izu-chan, I’m really glad Rimuru has helped you as much as he has.” She said, and Izuku nodded with a smile.

Izuku: “Heh, he really has.” He said and started reminiscing again, but Aomi started talking again.

Aomi: “You know, you’ve helped out Rimuru a lot more than he shows or tells you.” She says, which surprises Izuku, he turned off the tv with the remote and set it down.

Izuku: “ I’ve helped him? How have I helped him?” He said, genuinely not knowing how he could’ve helped Rimuru anything like he helped him.

Aomi: “Well, he has told you how we moved here from America not too long ago, yeah?” She said and Izuku nodded.

Amoi: “Well, he may not show it around you much, but moving took a toll on him. When we moved he didn’t know how he was going to adapt, he didn’t know what he was going to do here. His whole life had been left back in America, so moving so far away was, very difficult.” She said, with Izuku listening attentively.

Aomi: “And I assume you know some of the other deeper aspects of his life? And some of the things he’s gone through?” She asked and Izuku nodded.

Izuku: “Yeah, he told me about that accident with his dad when there was a big fight in your neighborhood. Which was when he got his hero ideology and all.” He said and Aomi nodded, but now she had a solemn look on her face, which made Izuku concerned.

Aomi: “Well, there’s a lot of other things Rimuru hasn’t told you, it seems, worse things.” She said, and Izuku started having a bad feeling in his chest.

Aomi: “I will only say a bit, since I don’t want to say everything for Rimuru, but I will say something that happened a while back.” She said, and Izuku shifted in his chair, listening closely.

Aomi: “He might’ve not told you this but, me and Samuel had him when we were still quite young, I was eighteen and he was nineteen, and back then we didn’t have the resources or time to focus on school and raising him. So after the first three years, we had him temporarily live with other people, with us visiting him when we could. We thought we were doing the right thing, but what we didn’t know was that things weren’t good for him there. Due to him being hermaphroditic like he is, he was treated differently, he was ostracized from most things, it really wasn’t good for him.

We weren’t aware of this for a while, as he was kept quiet about those things. When we finally got him out of that place, he wasn’t doing good, not at all. He was embarrassed of himself, and had no confidence in himself. And we felt like horrible people.” While she was talking, Izuku’s mind spiraled. Hearing these things charged so much of what Izuku knew.

Aomi: “We helped him as much as we could, and we got him help for a long time, just trying to fix the mistakes we made. We thought he would hate us, I mean we were the ones who left him in that place. But, heh, Rimuru was so strong, he took to the help we got him really well, and he improved so much, just so fast. One day he walked up to us and said, I want to help people, I want to save people so they don’t have to be afraid. And we supported him every step of the way, and when he started using his powers more, it just motivated him so much to chase his dream and his goals. I honestly have no idea how he was able to go through everything he did, and come out so strong afterwards. He’s built himself up so much, he knows who he wants to be through and through, and he knows himself all the way.” Izuku’s heart raced with a mix of so many emotions as he listened. Hearing all this made him hold back tears from his eyes, hearing what his best friend went through.

Aomi: “We felt bad when we uprooted Rimuru’s life, but we hoped it would also be a needed getaway from everything that happened. We didn’t know how he would take to everything, but then, you came along. He found you and suddenly he seemed much happier, and actually excited to be here. So, just know that I’m forever grateful to you, for helping my Rimuru find his place here.” She said with a soft and sweet voice. Meanwhile, Izuku was just stunned in silence for a minute, absorbing all the information that she said.

He sat in thought for a while, desperately needing time to just think about everything he had heard from Aomi. For Izuku, this really changed some ways he thought about Rimuru. Despite him knowing Rimuru had gone through some things that weren’t good, he never thought he could have possibly gone through something as horrible as that was, and come out being as confident as he is. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized just how amazing Rimuru was. Even though he had gone through something that horrible and was forced to endure it for so long, he came out the other side how he is, seemingly unaffected by what happened to him. Though Izuku realized that Rimuru probably was affected by what happened to him, he just chose not to let it out in his personality and life, which Izuku hoped wasn’t bad for him, although Aomi had told him he got help, which is good, but he hoped that Rimuru wasn’t holding a lot of pain in so he could stay the confident self he is. Whatever the situation was with him now, Izuku knew that he saw Rimuru in an even better light than he did before, if that was even possible. Never had he met someone who was so strong. This brought a smile to his face, which made Aomi laugh, and he looked up at her again.

Aomi: “Heh, I can tell you really care about Rimuru, and you really can see just how strong he is. I’m glad for that. Very glad. I know you two will benefit each other in so many ways in life, and believe me, I can see why he immediately saw an amazing person in you even when you two just met.” She said with a smile on her face, and got up to go back inside, leaving Izuku with his thoughts. He found a blush forming on his face but didn’t acknowledge it.

Izuku just shook his head out of his thoughts. Right now he just wanted to go back inside with Rimuru. Hopefully one day he could bring this up with Rimuru and they could actually talk about it together, but for now, he just wanted to enjoy his time. He smiled again and stood up, holding his still half full bag of chips in his hand and walking to the sliding door, opening it and stepping inside, closing the door behind him. He walked through the kitchen and into the living room, seeing Rimuru and his dad watching tv on the couch, laughing loudly still. Izuku chuckled under his breath and continued walking to them. Rimuru noticed him first, looking behind him and waving.

Rimuru: “Heeyyy Izuku! Sorry bout that puddle comment earlier. Not actually gonna turn you into a puddle okaayy?” He said. Izuku just chuckled and nodded, walking around the couch and sitting next to Rimuru. Rimuru smiled at him and started talking with his dad again. They seemed to be talking about a recent sports event, which Rimuru didn’t follow personally, but his dad kept him up to speed. But then his dad asked.

Samuel: “Hey Midoriya, you staying here tonight or going back to your house?” He asked while pointing at Izuku, who was surprised at the question.

Izuku: “Er, well, I don’t really know? I hadn’t talked to my mom about that, so… I guess I'll call her.” He said sheepishly and pulled out his phone, going to his contacts and calling his mom. Meanwhile Rimuru just gave him an amused smirk, while Izuku just gave him a small side eye as his phone rang. After a few seconds the call went through.

Inko (phone): “Izuku? Are you doing okay?” She asked him.

Izuku: “Yeah I’m doing alright! And I was wondering, is it okay if I stay the night here? It’s already getting late and I don’t want Rimuru to have to fly me home in the dark.” Rimuru was about to say it wouldn’t be any problem at all since one of his skills gave him night vision, but he remembered he was going to say that to Izuku, who would just keep denying his help as he thought it would be inconvenient for Rimuru, so he kept quiet.

Inko (phone): “Sure! That’s okay with me, as long as it’s okay with his parents?” She asked. Izuku looked over at Samuel, who just smiled and nodded at him. Izuku could only assume Aomi would be okay with it too, in fact, she’d probably encourage him to stay.

Izuku: “Yeah, it’s okay if I stay! I’ll see you tomorrow mom! Love you!” He said with a smile.

Inko (phone): “Love you too Izuku! Have fun!” She said, and Izuku hung up. He put his phone in his pocket and looked back to Rimuru, who smiled at him. Izuku layed back on the couch while Rimuru continued his conversation with his dad, as Izuku watched the tv.

After a while, Rimuru and Izuku decided to call it a night, saying goodnight to Rimuru’s parents before going into Rimuru’s room. Since Izuku had been there so often, there was a mattress for Izuku to lay on along with all the bedding accessories for him, ones that he picked out. Of course it was just All MIght, because it’s Izuku, what else did you expect? Rimuru went over to his (rather big for him) bed and slumped down, with Izuku just sitting down on his. Rimuru sat up and looked at Izuku with a contemplative look. He started talking.

Rimuru: “Y’know… those criminals we ran into, they were those clowns from that traveling circus show.” He said and Izuku just nodded. He knew this from Rimuru so he was confused why he brought it up again.

Rimuru: “Well I was thinking, if they’re involved in this, do you think that their boss is the one who is orchestrating what they were doing?” Now that surprised Izuku. His eyes widened at this idea, he knew who Rimuru was talking about.

Izuku: “Y-you really think such a public figure like him could be a villain? Why would he even do that?” He was certainly shocked at this, even he liked the man known as “Clayman” by the public, he always seemed like a good guy.

Rimuru: “Hm, you never know why people do what they do unless you meet them firsthand. Who knows what goes on inside that dude's head. I’ve discussed this topic with Sage, and we both do think Clayman is the one who’s behind this, because someone as famous as him is bound to have connections or access to certain things, and his direct employees trying to kidnap people definitely isn’t a coincidence.” He said to Izuku while flipping over onto his back, looking at Izuku upside down.

Izuku just thought for a few minutes. He couldn’t understand why someone like Clayman, who was so famous and overall loved by the public, would be a villain. It just made no sense to Izuku, but he knew why it made sense to Rimuru. Rimuru’s worldview was fundamentally different from the one Izuku grew up with, and the one that the rest of society seemed to have. The more he thought about it, the more Izuku knew he should adapt some of the views that Rimuru shared. It really left more room for reasons why people do what they do instead of just what people see them for. Izuku knew it would be good for him, but it’s not like it would be easy to change his mindset so much. Izuku sighed and slumped over in his bed, his head was hurting after all the information dn intense thinking today. Rimuru just chuckled and layed down in his own bed, pulling the blankets over him.

Rimuru: “Alright, go to sleep Izuku, it’s gonna be a long day tomorrow. I have many of plans for us.” He said amused. Izuku just sighed again with a smile on his face and got under his blankets as well.

Izuku: “Alright, good night Rimuru!”

Rimuru: “Good night Izuku. Don’t have any horrible nightmares.” He said, which just made Izuku sweatdrop. After a few minutes the two drifted off to sleep, blissfully unaware of events happening that would only cause their situation to worsen.

Scene Change: A Prison in Musutafu 11:47 at night, 3rd person POV

It was late, and some of the staff had already gone home for the day. One guard was doing his normal patrol of the cells, but he was constantly disturbed by the constant annoying sounds and singing coming from one of the cells. The guard was becoming increasingly aggravated, trying to contain himself and not go off protocol. This wasn’t uncommon for prisoners to annoy the guards, trying to get a rise out of them, and this one's superiors had told him many times to not let them get under his skin, as he had a bit of an anger problem, which he was working on. The girl continued to sing on and on while also making noise with the cell bars. She had been doing this for the whole time she’d been awake and he was so fed up with it. He slid a hand down his face slowly, just trying to compose himself. But then she sang even louder and made even louder noises, and he just snapped, he went over to the girls cell and banged his baton on the bars. The girl made a mocking, shocked noise and backed up.

Guard: “HEY. QUIET THE HELL DOWN YOU BRAT!!” He yelled at the girl, who was still wearing that weird costume and mask. She just raised her hands in defence and giggled. The man scoffed and turned around.

But just as he turned around, a pair of arms shot out and wrapped around his neck, pulling him against the hard cell bars. The girl was surprisingly strong and he wasn’t able to pry her arms off his neck as he felt his windpipe being compressed. He struggled and tried to yell out, but he couldn’t with how much force was on his neck. He tried to swing backward with his baton and hit the girl, but even when it made contact, she didn’t budge, she just said ouchy! The man continued to struggle as he felt his breathing become sparse, tears formed in his eyes, as he gagged.

Guard: “P-please. Please I-i have a family.” He begged weakly, but the girl just giggled.

Tear: “Oh you do do you? Well that's great! That means there will be people who’ll miss you!” She said cheerfully. Then after a few seconds, a resounding snap could be heard as Tear jerked her arms. The man fell limp. Tear went down to his waist and pulled the ring of keys off him, then let his body fall to the ground. She reached around the bars and went through all the keys until one unlocked her door.

Tear cheered and skipped out of the cell. At this point all the surrounding prisoners had caught wind of what was happening, and were currently cheering Tear on. She started dancing in the middle of the room for a bit, then skipped over to other cells, ruffling through the keys and unlocking them one by one. The prisoners continued to cheer as they rushed out. Just then, the alarms started blaring, but this didn’t deter Tear as she unlocked the rest of the cells. When everyone in her area was out of their cells, Tear left to find where Footman was being kept. She wandered around for a while, just enjoying the chaos that was ensuing around her. After a few minutes, she heard a laugh that she recognized coming from a cell behind her. She whipped around a saw Footman, still wearing his costume standing in his cell. She cheered and skipped over to his cell. She didn’t have the key for his cell, so she just punched the door lock, with Footman doing the same. After a few hits, it broke and the cell door was able to be opened.

Footman: “Well, I see you’ve caused quite the ruckus around here. That’s very good, and makes things much more amusing.” He said and Tear cheered again. Footman chuckled and the two started walking.

The two walked past all the chaos and fighting that the released prisoners were causing, as more prisoners were being released and guards were rushing around trying to subdue the prisoners. After a minute, the two just walked out of the prison. The sound of fires, yelling, and destruction behind them as they as well as some prisoners escaped. The two ducked into a nearby Allyway to sneak through the dark and try to find their way back to the warehouse where the Orc Lord and Clayman were. Sirens blared in the distance, as the two laughed and continued to move away from the ruined prison. This was truly, a very fun experience for the two.

Chapter Text

{{....}}- Sage talking

(thought communication)

Izuku opens his eyes slowly and blinks a few times. He groans a bit and rubs his face as he gets up slowly. The sun is shining through the curtains of Rimuru’s room, making Izuku shield his eyes. He looks over and grabs his phone, checking the time, 7:28. He groans again, he needs to get ready for school. Luckily he already had a change of clothes here, as well as his backpack with all his stuff. He really did spend a lot of time here huh? He walks out of Rimuru’s room, and instantly hears clanking and, panicked noises? He speeds up his walk and turns the corner, what he sees makes him stifle a laugh. In the kitchen, Rimuru is fumbling around with pans and ingredients, trying his best to make breakfast.

Cooking was one thing Izuku learned Rimuru was not very good at, and he always denied the help of Sage. Seeing this unfortunately made him think back to when Rimuru’s aunt Shion had been over and cooked for them. He didn’t know why everyone else had mortified looks on their faces until he actually saw what she had made. He almost passed out from the smell alone, and he swears the food actually smiled at him. He tried to look over to Rimuru for help, but he had just shaken his head and whispered, you won’t get used to it . The thought of this event made him shudder, but he pushed that back and continued walking to the kitchen. Upon seeing him, Rimuru just threw him a quick smile.

Rimuru: “Mornin’ Izuku! I-i'm making eggs, bacon, and toast! A proper western breakfast y’know?” He said this while still fumbling with appliances. Izuku just laughed under his breath and walked around Rimuru, heading to the bar stools set up outside the kitchen. He hopped on top of it and pulled out his phone, taking a picture of Rimuru’s struggle for possible blackmail if Rimuru tried to make him dress up in those ridiculous outfits (yes that’s happened more than once now. R.I.P poor Izuku.)

After a few minutes Rimuru came over with two plates and some utensils, setting them down in front of Izuku and himself, making a ta-da! gesture. Izuku looked down and saw three broken over easy eggs, four strips of bacon with two being mostly burnt, and a piece of buttered toast which was somehow burnt in the middle. Izuku looked back up to see a smiling Rimuru, still making the same gesture. Izuku just smiled and forked one of the eggs, seeing the yolk drip off it, and put it in his mouth. It was surprisingly good. Izuku gave a thumbs up, which seemed to make Rimuru happy as he started eating his food. They ate in silence for a minute before Rimuru spoke up.

Rimuru: “Oh yeah, classes were cancelled today at my school. Apparently a band of criminals had been causing a ruckus around that area, so some officials had to come in and stop them, which of course caused damage. So, I’m gonna be tagging along with you today at your school.” He said while still putting food in his mouth (manners man). This surprised Izuku. Could Rimuru even just come to his school like that? As if sensing this, Rimuru responded.

Author’s Note: Btw by “officials” Rimuru means heroes. If you recall he stopped using the term heroes so much if he doesn't feel the need to.

Rimuru: “I know what you're gonna ask, and to that I say, who cares? As long as I don’t disturb class and tell the teacher why I’m tagging along, it should be fine. Plus, this gives us more time to discuss last night's topic.” He said while pointing his fork at Izuku. Izuku was surprised to hear Rimuru wanted to talk about it again so soon, but he knew that could only mean it was rather urgent, so he didn’t mind.

Izuku: “Ok! I guess this’ll be the first time you’ve actually seen around my school huh?” He said and Rimuru nodded.

Rimuru: “Yep. AND. This’ll give me a chance to scare Baku-bitch again!” He said enthusiastically, which almost made Izuku choke on the bacon he was eating.

Izuku: “Rimuru! I thought you said you weren’t going to disturb things! And I don’t think you scared him really.”

Rimuru: “Ok ok. Maybe not scare . How bout intimidate! Yeah, that seems more accurate.” He said that while sounding proud of himself. Izuku just sighed and smiled.

The two finished their food and Rimuru cleaned everything up (which was quite a lot due to the mess he made). Izuku went and got dressed in his school uniform, grabbed his bag and walked outside where Rimuru was already waiting for him. Despite Izuku’s initial protests, Rimuru insisted on flying him to school on multiple occasions whenever he went to Izuku’s house, or when Izuku went to Rimuru’s house, so Izuku just learned to accept it. Rimuru infoled his bat wings from his bag, flew down to Izuku, who got on his back and held onto his neck. Rimuru then flew upwards and took to the skies, starting slow at first to make sure Izuku was hanging on. They found this to be the best way for Rimuru to fly Izuku around, as their interior methode, which was Rimuru just grabbing and holding underneath Izuku’s arms, proved to be uncomfortable for Izuku after a while, so they switched to this. After around ten minutes the two arrived at Izuku’s school, just around when the bell was about to ring. Rimuru landed on his feet and Izuku let go of him.

Author’s Note: Just a little tidbit here, since this fic is still pre-mha-cannon events, Izuku is in his like first year of middle school. Idk if in the anime it starts with him in his second or third year but whatever, just thought I’d clear that up if need be.

Rimuru folded his bat wings back in his body and started walking behind Izuku into his school. As they were walking through the hallways, the two got a few weird looks from other students, none of which had seen Rimuru before, but what likely surprised them the most was that said person was with Izuku. Noticing this, Rimuru had thrown some gestures and facial expressions to students at random. Some were him smiling and waving at them, while others were an intimidating glare with Rimuru crossing his arms. Geez he’s already causing chaos isn’t he? Izuku thought. Eventually they got to Izuku’s classroom. Izuku walked over to his desk and put his things down. A few of the students eyed Rimuru confused, so did the teacher who asked.

(Stupid) Teacher: “Uh, Midoriya? Who’s this?” He asked and Rimuru just gave him a smile and waved, making Izuku sweatdrop. Rimuru spoke up.

Rimuru: “Hey there! I’m tagging along with Izuku today. My school is closed due to villain activities, so I’m just here.” He said and the teacher eyed him.

Rimuru: “Hey if you want confirmation about my school being closed, I go to (Insert school name here, I ain’t makin’ one, too lazy), so just fact check that it’s closed.” Rimuru said calmly. The teacher eyed him again before sitting down at his desk and going on his computer, likely checking Rimuru’s words. After around twenty seconds, the teacher looked back up.

(Jerk) Teacher: “Alright it seems you weren't lying. I’ll let you stay as long as you don’t disturb the class proceedings, understand?” He said and Rimuru nodded.

Rimuru sat down in what Izuku told him was an unoccupied seat next to him. So he did and they started talking while waiting for the teacher to start class. The two could see some of the other students were whispering to each other while looking at them, but they didn’t care much, it was obvious it was going to happen. After a few more minutes, the two heard a very familiar, arrogant voice. Izuku jumped a little bit, while Rimuru just smirked and looked at the doorway. The voice got closer until the three people could be seen in view.

Bakugou: “Exactly! That’s why no one in this school can match my-” His bragging session was cut short as his voice caught in his throat. Sitting there smirking was Rimuru, who was eyeing him. Rimuru let out a slow laugh.

Rimuru: “Hey there Bakugou! Glad to see you again!” He said while waving slowly. While it may seem like a nice greeting, anyone with even the smallest people skills could tell it was anything but that.

Bakugou tensed up, wanting to say something back but not finding the words. He just stood there for a few seconds before scoffing and continuing to walk to his seat, his lacky’s following him, they looked at Rimuru with a nervous, almost scared look on their face, which just made Rimuru grin more. The other students looked between the two confused and shocked as to why Bakugou of all people didn’t remark back, but whoever looked at Bakugou was met with a threatening glare, so they quickly turned away. Soon after, the teacher stood up and cleared his throat.

(Really just a bad) Teacher: “Alright class were staring, stop talking and put away any devices other than school computers.” Some students made quiet groans of frustration as the teacher started class.

The class went on and Rimuru was just sitting around, just thinking and being bored. He had tried to listen to the Teachers lecture but he almost fell asleep within minutes. This teacher was seriously boring, at least the teachers and Rimuru’s school had at least acted like they gave a shit, this teacher just obviously flat out didn’t give a shit. One of the only fun things for Rimuru was that occasionally Bakugou would look back at him, to which Rimuru would glare back with a smirk, causing Bakugou to turn away. Rimuru was pleased that he had intimidated the boy. Rimuru sighed quietly and looked over at Izuku’s notebook. He didn’t know how Izuku could actually take as many notes as he was and not fall asleep, something which Rimuru seriously commended Izuku for. Then Rimuru got an idea, and started talking with Sage.

(Hey Sage, what came about Baku-bitches quirk factor that you analyzed? Any useful things come from it?)

{{Notice: The individual Bakugou Katsuki’s quirk factor can be used to create skills such as blast resistance, it could also be used to create an explosion based power system, of which one could call “magic” although it won’t be in essence.}}

(That’s awesome! We could start using forms of “magic”! That would be amazing! You really never cease to amaze me. We could call it like… Nuclear Magic . Yeah that would be awesome, but I don’t think we're powerful enough for that yet unfortunately. Also, when could the blast resistance skill be made?)

{{Notice: It can be made immediately. Sufficient data has been collected for the creation of said skill. Would you like to create blast resistance skill? YES? NO?}}

(Well YEAH! DO IT!)

{{Notice: Resistance Skill, Blast Resistance has been acquired. Blast resistance can now be activated at will, and has been added to skill list.}}

(Fantastic! Now I can just take Baku-Bitches explosions without any problem! That oughta get a rise out of him, heheh.)

{{Notice: The individual Bakugou Katsuki’s explosions would still cause damage to master, as the skill provides resistance to explosions not nullification to explosions.}}

(Wha- w-well, oh c'mon! Why did you have to rain on my parade??)

{{Notice: The weather forecast states it will be clear for the next few days, and currently no parades are happening within your area.}}

(Wha…. WHAT? NO! THAT’S NOT WHAT I- ugh, whatever. Thank you though again Sage.)

{{Notice: Of course, Master.}}

Rimuru sighed at the honorifics again, but didn’t bring it up. Sage would never stop with that. He just slumped his head on his desk and looked over at Izuku, who was still taking an absurd amount of notes for a subject like this. Which what even was it again? Nevermind I don’t want to remember, Rimuru thought. Rimuru then got an idea, which he probably shouldn’t do right now, but eh, what the heck.

Izuku POV

TC Rimuru: (Izuku)

The sudden voice of Rimuru in my head made me jump a little bit. I had just been taking notes over the subject the teacher was talking about, and last time I looked over at Rimuru he seemed kinda spaced out. I thought he might’ve been talking to Sage as he sometimes spaces out when he does that.

Izuku (thoughts): “Hey, what’s up?”

I had gotten better at talking through thoughts with Rimuru. Although I didn’t technically have the thought communication skill, so I couldn’t actually communicate telepathically with him. We just compensated with him speaking in my head and he would read my thoughts of my response. It wasn’t as convenient but it worked nonetheless.

TC Rimuru: (Remember earlier when I said I wanted to discuss last night’s topic again? Well you think you can now instead of listening to this boring af lecture?)

I had to suppress a laugh at what Rimuru said. Honestly I would prefer talking about last night's topic rather than what the teacher was lecturing about. Since I actually pay attention in this class I could tell most of this lecture was just recycled material the teacher was using because he didn’t bother to create a new study topic for today, so conversing with Rimuru was the better option.

Izuku (thoughts): “Yeah we can talk about that. You already find new details with Sage?” I thought, accidentally raising my eyebrow like I was talking to him face to face.

TC Rimuru: (Actually… there have been some… unfortunate developments.)

Ok, that got me nervous. Whenever Rimuru really sounded serious I knew it was serious. I’d learned that there was a distinct difference in his tone of voice between fake serious and real serious Rimuru, which to those that didn’t know him well couldn’t spot out.

Izuku (thoughts): “What happened.” I thought nervously. Heck even my thoughts sounded nervous.

TC Rimuru: (Those two clowns that we beat two weeks ago? Yeah they escaped, as well as the rest of the prisoners who were with them. And that’s not even the worst part.)

Even the first part made my eyes widen and I tensed up a lot. How the heck did they get out already? And even with the rest of the prisoners. They must have caused some riot or something and escaped. But what the heck could be worse than that??

Izuku (thoughts): “Uhhh, w-what's worse?” I even stuttered in my thoughts, what the heck…

TC Rimuru: (Remember that lady who they tried to kidnap? Yeah she’s been reported missing. Even when she was instated in witness protection. I could take my best guess and assume these two events are correlated.)

My eyes widened even further in shock and a bit of horror. I almost broke my pencil when I heard this. I had still been writing a bit, but more so just idly. But this, this was horrible news! How had she been taken already?? Weren’t there people protecting her?? And Rimuru was right. It was obvious these events were correlated. Something like that wasn’t a coincidence.

Izuku (thoughts): “W-well, surely there must be something we can do! Right? We can’t just let the authorities try to find her! W-we have to do something!” I was panicking in my thoughts, I really hoped Rimuru had something in mind.

TC Rimuru: (Hey, hey, breathe Izuku. Yes, I have a plan to try and save her, but, it’s rather dangerous and if not done properly will have consequences. So I need to know if you're up for something like this, again.)

Rimuru obviously was concerned about me. I mean yeah that last encounter we had shook me a bit, but it certainly won’t stop me from wanting to help someone. I knew being a hero meant throwing yourself in dangerous situations if need be, especially when helping someone, so I just took this as preparation for the future.

Izuku (thoughts): “Of course I am! What kind of hero would I be if I backed down from something like this? I know I’m only thirteen, but I won’t use that as an excuse.” I thought confidently.

I knew being thirteen was actually a good excuse one would have for wanting to back out on something like this. I was inexperienced both in life and in fights, but I wouldn’t let that hold me back. Unknown to me, Rimuru internally sighed, knowing that I was still comparing myself to him in a way, despite his many objections.

TC Rimuru: (Alright. So, here’s what we’ll do.)

Scene Change & Flashback, 2:17 AM, 3rd Person POV

We see the familiar warehouse where Clayman and his puppet the Orc Lord were staying. Clayman was looking even more irritated if that was possible, looking through various papers of ideas and potential problems in his plan. Then suddenly, he heard the loud sound of a door opening in a different room, followed by familiar giggles. Clayman perked and rushed outside, going down some stairs and bursting through a different room. What he saw made a big grin spread across his face. Standing there were his allies Tear and Footman, their costumes a bit tattered and spots of blood on them. And best of all for Clayman, the woman they previously tried to nap before slung over Footmans shoulder, unconscious.

Tear: “Heeyyyyy Clayman! We’re back! And we got the girl!” She said cheerfully, spreading her arms in a v shape, gesturing to Footman carrying the girl. Clayman started laughing.

Clayman: “Fantastic you two! This is great! Now we can properly proceed with the plan. Footman! Take her to where the Orc Lord is at, and Tear go with him, you’ll be the one to wake her up.” He said. Footman nodded and Tear cheered happily. The two then started walking to where the Orc Lord was.

Clayman was standing there with a wide maniacal grin on his face, holding his chest and laughing more. This is perfect! With this quirk I’ll finally create the perfect puppet, and no one will be able to stop me! he thought. He then turned around and started walking to where the Orc Lord was, grin still on his face. When he arrived, he saw the woman laid down in front of the idle Orc Lord, Footman and Tear standing above her. Tear looked at Clayman, which he could tell was expectantly even with the mask. He nodded to her. She then started lightly hitting the woman and shaking her.

Tear: “Hey hey hey hey hey it’s time to wake up! C’mon wake up!” She said, still lightly hitting and shaking the woman. After a few seconds, she stirred and slowly opened her eyes.

Her mind caught up with her and she sat up abruptly, only to see her takers standing above her and another man in front of her with a scary grin. She grabbed at the ground and started backing up, trying to get distance from the three, not paying attention to the thing behind her.

Clayman: “Welcome, Kubota Sakura, if you could, I would suggest panicking as much as possible, makes it better, for us at least.” He said with a sadistic smile and mocking tone, while Kubota continued to slowly back up.

Kubota: “Wh-who the hell are you people?! What do you want with me!?” She yelled at them, not backing up anymore.

Clayman: “Oh you don’t have to know who we are. All you need to know is, you’re here to serve a purpose with your life, one you won’t be going back from.” He said to her in a low voice.

Kubota: “W-what the hell are you talking about?! You think you can get away with this?? The heroes will-” She said before Clayman cut her off.

Clayman: “The heroes will what? Huh? What can your heroes do? Let me tell you something.” He said, and his face became darker.

Kubota: “Nobody can save you. Nobody is coming to save you. I’m so so sorry.” He said in a sadistic mock-sympathetic tone. He then raised his hands in the air and red glowing strings appeared. They were connected to his fingers and to something behind the woman.

She looked behind her to see where the red strings were attached, and her face contorted into horror. Standing there around 25 feet tall was the Orc Lord, the red strings wrapped around parts of its body, before they disappeared and the Orc Lord stirred awake. Its big eyes opened and it looked down at the other three. The woman was too afraid to scream, so she just laid there shaking in fear.

Clayman: “I suppose I should introduce you. This is the Orc Lord. My puppet who’ll bring me control over Japan once completed, and all it needs is your quirk.” He said, and she looked back at him.

Her quirk allows her to rapidly regenerate her body when damaged, but she needs to be conscious and it takes a lot of energy to work. The Orc Lord, who already had a massive energy supply due to one of the quirks it obtained, plus the person who the Orc Lord once was main quirk, which would allow him to gain beneficial properties from what he ate, and if he so happened to eat a person, could gain all his energy back and the persons quirk. So using the woman’s power would be a simple task, and let the Orc Lord regenerate as much as it wants. This is why she was needed. Her quirk was the last piece of the puzzle for Clayman and his plan.

Clayman: “Well, let it begin. Orc Lord, use your quirk “starved”, and devour her, claim her power for your own.” He told the beast, to which it looked down at the woman and started walking to her, reaching out its hand to grab her.

Kubota: “NO! NO! NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!!” She screamed as she backed away from the Orc Lord, but to no avail.

It grabbed her and held tight, causing some of her bones to crack. She screamed loudly as it brought her to face level, it then opened its mouth and put the woman in it. One more scream could be heard before a resounding crunch followed by grotesque chewing noises could be heard throughout the building. Blood dripped down from its mouth, hitting the ground and creating a small pool of blood. Clayman smirked maniacally, just savoring the moment. Tear was just clapping repeatedly, while Footman just stood there with his arms crossed, but he seemed pleased. The three left to discuss while the beast continued chewing. But when no one noticed, a shiny bracelet dropped from the beast's mouth, one that belonged to the woman it just consumed.

Scene Change, Aldera Middle School, Present time, 3rd Person POV

The bell for the end of class rang and all the students started packing up their supplies to leave. Rimuru and Izuku stood up, with Izuku having a contemplative look on his face, while Rimuru just seemed half serious. They had discussed most of the details of their plan during the remainder of class, and they would start right after school ended, which couldn’t come soon enough. It was around noon so that meant lunch time, which had Rimuru particularly excited. Once Izuku got his stuff, the two started walking out of the classroom. Izuku ignored Bakugou staring a hole in his head, but Rimuru shot him and his lackey’s a glare back as he left.

The two walked through the hallways, discussing more mundane or casual topics that didn’t involve endangering their lives. Again more looks were thrown their way as they walked through the hall, but both Izuku and Rimuru ignored them and just decided to continue walking. Once they reached the cafeteria, Rimuru looked around and made a surprised noise.

Rimuru: “Huh, I expected it to be a lot more rundown than this, it's actually not that bad.” He said and walked to the lunch line. Izuku just smiled and followed him.

Author's Note: Sorry, just a little side note. So I did some research and found out a lot of Japanese schools may not have a cafeteria, and I don’t know if MHA ever showed this school having one or not, but let’s just say there is. Can’t be totally accurate, I mean, it is a cannon-divergent fic so.

Once the two got their food they sat at a table that was closest to one of the exit doors. Rimuru sat across from Izuku and they put their food down. Rimuru got some curry and rice with a bowl of soup. Izuku got fish and rice with a bowl of veggies. Rimuru just looked at the food for a few seconds before chuckling, Izuku looked up at him confused.

Rimuru: “Heh, I haven’t been in Japan all too long, and it continues to surprise me with how different food options are here than in America. Usually in cafeterias there we would just have some overcooked pizza or undercooked fried fish, but here, it's actually pretty good quality stuff, I mean, what the heck?” He said, which made Izuku try to suppress laughter, but he failed and started laughing loudly, which made Rimuru laugh too, both uncaring of a few stares from students.

Once they’re laughing died down, Izuku had to wipe water in his eyes from all his laughing. Rimuru really did have a way to cheer him up in tense situations. Speaking of tense situations. A girl who neither of them knew approached the two and looked at Rimuru. She cleared her throat and the two looked at her, confused.

Izuku: “Uh, do you need anything?” He asked politely, but she just ignored him and turned to Rimuru.

Random girl: “Hey, uh what’s your name?” She asked Rimuru, who just raised an eyebrow but responded.

Rimuru: “The name is Tempest. Rimuru Tempest.” (heheh James Bond reference) He said and waved to the girl. Izuku gave him a side eye for the reference he just made and had to stifle another laugh. The girl smiled and started talking.

Random girl: “Nice to meet you Tempest. Me and some of my friends- *she gestured to a table with four other girls, who waved back*- were wondering if you wanted to come eat with us?” She asked Rimuru, who just looked bewildered. Rimuru glanced over to Izuku, who seemed to have an uncomfortable and upset look on his face. Rimuru wondered why he looked like that.

That’s when it dawned on Rimuru. How could I be so stupid , he thought. Rimuru reprimanded himself for not understanding that the fact Rimuru was hanging out with Izuku at all seemed like a total fallacy to everyone else, given his quirkless nature. Rimuru scoffed under his breath. He seriously despised this kind of treatment, over simply not having something that’s not much more than a tool (a quirk). While Rimuru knew he couldn’t speak from experience, given his quirks are broken as hell, he certainly wouldn’t let it happen to Izuku so help him. He turned back to the girl.

Rimuru: “No thanks, I’m good.” Rimuru said, being fake polite to the girl.

Random girl: “Great, you can follo- wait, huh?” She asked with a genuinely confused look, obviously not expecting Rimuru to decline. Her confusion both amused and annoyed Rimuru further.

Rimuru: “I’m good where I am, so, you can go back to your friends.” He said that last part with a slightly intimidating tone in his voice, sending a subtle message.

The girl looked shocked, then confused, then annoyed, and went hmph before walking off back to the table her friends were sitting at. Rimuru just resumed eating his food as if nothing happened, but Izuku was slightly shocked for a moment, before his shock was replaced with warmth. Despite all the genuine kindness and support he received from Rimuru, Izuku still needed a little bit of time to get used to the fact that Rimuru was a true friend , and wouldn’t just leave him like that for others. Izuku knew Rimuru could sense his discomfort at what happened, but he didn’t want to ruin the mood by dwelling on it, so he talked about something else.

Izuku: “You really are someone who can just be effortlessly popular aren’t you?” He said, and Rimuru just hummed.

Rimuru: “Yeah well, when you have as much natural charisma as me, people are drawn to you even when ya don’t want em’.” He said that last part while jabbing his thumb at the table of girls. Izuku laughed slightly, trying not to choke on his food.

Izuku: “Heh, well, don’t go bragging too much Rimuru, especially with your almost overly eccentric behavior sometimes.” Izuku said this in a slightly snarky tone, which made Rimuru grasp his chest in mock hurt.

Rimuru: “How, dare you! My eccentricness is just a lovely personality quirk, that’s a reason why people love me! So quiet down.” He said while jabbing a fork at Izuku (for the second time today). Izuku then laughed again, which made Rimuru start laughing too.

After lunch was over and the two threw away all their trash, they headed to Izuku’s next class. Rimuru thought about discussing more of their plan once they got to the class, but he decided to wait till the end of the day when they had less distractions and didn’t have to speak through thought. Rimuru had to explain to the other teachers of Izuku’s classes why he was there, but only one of them fact checked him, the other just seemed ok with it as long as he was quiet. While Izuku was being a good scholarly student in his classes, Rimuru just sat around idly, spaced out in his own mind. At one point Izuku looked over at the spaced out Rimuru, and a thought came back to him.

Around a week ago Izuku had caught Rimuru spaced out on his beanbag chair, and Izuku had to snap three times to get him out of it. He had noticed Rimuru did that a lot, so he asked why, and Rimuru gave him a long dramatic speech about how he had some serious ADHD, but always refused to be medicated for it to stop the spacing out, because Rimuru said and Izuku quotes Nah I don’t need any a dat stuff, Im perfectly fine with it! Just another reason why I’m so lovable! Izuku laughed at the thought, but refocused on work.

After all of Izuku’s classes were over, the two walked outside of the school. Rimuru stretched his arms and back when he walked out, complaining about school chairs. Izuku listened to his rant, but then he felt his phone vibrate. He brought it out and saw his mom had sent him a message. He assumed it would be for when he was coming home, but when he clicked on the message, what it said surprised him, making his eyes widen as he stopped walking. Rimuru noticed this, raising an eyebrow and looked confused.

Rimuru: “Hey you good Izuku? Something wrong?” He asked Izuku. Rimuru hoped it wasn’t anything bad as they already had a lot of bad news on their plate, and he didn’t want any more for Izuku.

Izuku: “Uhh, yeah, well. My mom just texted me, and apparently, my dad just flew in from America. His plane arrived an hour ago.” He said, and Rimuru made an o shape with his mouth.

Rimuru had been informed on the Midoriya family dynamic, and he knew Izuku’s mother and father were separated, but his father came from America every now and then to spend some time with Izuku and his mom. Rimuru hadn’t met Izuku’s dad since he knew him, so he hadn’t heard much about him.

Rimuru: “Are you, upset? That he’s here?” Rimuru asked Izuku, trying his best to sound supportive.

Izuku: “Oh, no, no not at all it’s just, I haven’t seen him in like, 6 months. He has texted me and kept me updated about some things. I know his work really keeps him there, and I know he wouldn’t make up excuses not to visit me, but it still can be awkward after a while, but I always love to see him.” He said, with a small smile on his face at that last part. Rimuru was relieved that it wouldn’t weigh on Izuku.

Rimuru: “Well that’s nice. Here, I’ll fly you to your house so yall can have some family times.” He said, and folded out his wings. Izuku looked over at him.

Izuku: “Hey, you want to meet my dad? I know it's a family thing for us, but I know my mom would be glad to have you over, and I don’t think my dad will mind.” This surprised Rimuru, as he didn’t think he should stay there for a moment like this, but he decided to just accept, so he nodded and smiled.

Izuku: “Ok! I’ll text my mom and check if she’s ok with it, but again I’m sure she is.” He said and started typing on his phone. RImuru took this chance to ask his parents if they were ok with him going to Izuku’s for a bit, but he also guessed they’d be fine with it. When he got a text back from his mom saying it was ok, he turned back to Izuku.

Izuku: “Hey, she did say it was ok if you came over, and she said she’ll tell my dad you're coming. I assume your parents gave you the green light.” He asked and Rimuru gave a thumbs up. Izuku smiled and went over to Rimuru, who crouched down so Izuku could get on his back. Once Izuku did, Rimuru jumped up and started flying to Izuku’s house.

Scene Change: Tempest Residence, in living room, 3rd Person POV

Aomi was sitting with Samuel on their couch, watching a show when Aomi’s phone dinged. She looked down and saw a message from Rimuru. He was asking if he could stay at Izuku’s place for a while, as his dad had come to Japan, and Izuku was ok with Rimuru meeting his dad. She smiled and giggled under her breath. Samuel looked at her.

Samuel: “What’s up hun?” He asked and she showed him her phone. When he saw it he smiled, knowing exactly what Aomi was thinking. When he looked back at her she had a small pout on her face, so he wrapped an arm around her.

Samuel: “I knowww, he’s already meeting the other parent of the person we both think is his special someone. Don’t be so sad Aomi.” He said and she buried her face in his shoulder.

Aomi: “Oh Samuel, he’s growing up too fast. He’s becoming less and less of our little child.” She said, still pouting a little. Samuel just chuckled.

Samuel: “Heh, yeah he’s growing up fast, but, we gotta let him. He’s obviously happy.”

Aomi: “I know I knowww, but stillll.”

Samuel: “Hey weren’t you the one who called it out on the first day?? If I remember correctly??” He said in an obviously sounding tone. Aomi just smushed her face in his shoulder more.

Aomi: “Yeah yeah, well, I am happy for him, but let’s take our mind off our too fast growing boy and watch the show eh?” She said, Samuel chuckled and resumed the show.

Scene Change: With Rimuru and Izuku, 3rd Person POV

Rimuru and Izuku arrive at Izuku’s house after around 5 minutes of flying. Rimuru lands on the ground and Izuku hops off his back and walks into the building to get to his home, Rimuru follows close behind him. When Izuku arrives at his door, he knocks just to let his parents know he’s there, and he opens the door.

Author’s Note: Ok, so, I think the Midoriya’s live in an apartment building in the anime, and this fic may have some confusing words that relate to his house, but let’s just pretend that I didn’t possibly mistake that.

Izuku opens the door and is greeted by his mom and dad, who were sitting in the living room talking. Inko comes over and hugs Izuku, then Rimuru walks in behind him, smiling at Inko. She smiles at him too and gives him a tight hug, almost like the first bone-crushing hug she gave him a while back. Hisashi laughs at seeing Inko’s greeting of Izuku and Rimuru. Hisashi gets up and walks over to them as Inko releases Rimuru from her hug. Rimuru looks over at Hisashi and smiles, and so does he.

Hisashi: “Hey there, Rimuru is it? Nice to meet you, names Hisashi, and I have no problem with you calling me that.” He said and shook Rimuru’s hand.

Rimuru: “Nice to meet you as well, Hisashi.” He said, shaking his hand back.

But at that moment, time seemed to slow down as something happened, but of course it didn’t actually. Unseen by everyone else, Rimuru and Hisashi subtly studied each other's character in that instant, under all the happy smiles were two individuals who could be serious when needed. Rimuru studied Hisashi’s role as a father, quietly testing if he truly did seem like a good father to Izuku. Hisashi had studied Rimuru’s role as Izuku’s friend. Having seen and heard of what his son had to go through by other people because of his quirklessness, he needed to make sure Rimuru wouldn’t do anything of the sorts to his son. In this split second unspoken ritual, they both came to the same conclusion. They approve.

They broke the handshake and the four walked back into the living room. Hisashi sitting in a chair, and Inko sitting on the couch, with Izuku and Rimuru sitting on the other side of the couch next to each other.

Hisashi: “So Rimuru, I’ve heard a lot about you, especially how much Izuku talks about you.” He says, obviously teasing his poor son. Izuku’s face turns bright red.

Izuku: “W-wha DAD?! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT??” He asked loudly, still red. Rimuru just laughed and slung an arm over Izuku’s shoulder, which didn’t help with Izuku’s red face.

Rimuru: “Oh I’m flattered Izuku~! Really can’t keep your mind off me eh? Well, that's understandable.” He says, only making Izuku’s face turn redder as he presses his hands into his knees.

Hisashi: “Heheh, sorry son, but thank you Rimuru for keeping him company.”

Rimuru: “Of course! I mean he practically doesn’t want to go a day without seeing me so you can thank him for that too.” He says, which only causes Izuku’s flusteredness to increase more.

They continue talking and the teasing of poor Izuku for a while, before Inko calls them over for dinner. Rimuru picks the almost dead-by-flusteredness Izuku and brings him to the dining room. The four eat, talk, and laugh for a while. But during the dinner, Rimuru starts thinking about the plans he and Izuku made, and the problems that are happening that involve them. He tried to push them away and enjoy this time with Izuku and his family, but he couldn’t shake them, he even felt increasingly worried about them. He needed to get back to his house so he could think and plan, he didn’t want to ruin Midoriya’s mood with his family. After they finished eating and Rimuru helped clean, Rimuru excused himself saying he needed to cut his visit a little short. Izuku and Inko protested but Rimuru insisted that he needed to. He waved his goodbyes to the three, and another bone-crushing hug from Inko and Izuku. He gave a light nod to Hisashi and another handshake.

When he left the house he quickly made his way outside and flew off, flying pretty fast to get back to his house. His mind still raced with thoughts about their plans, the sudden feeling of urgency crept on him and he didn’t like it. His confidence hadn’t been tested like this in a long time, but he could just feel something was wrong, very wrong. He arrived at his house and landed in front of it, quickly making his way into his house, but also trying to be inconspicuous from his parents, he didn’t want them to worry. When they welcomed him back and asked why he was home earlier than expected, he made up the excuse of wanting to let the Midoriya’s have their own family time, to which his parents bought. He made his way to his room and closed his door. He went through a drawer that had a journal he had used for writing plans, details, ideas of stuff regarding the current problematic events. He shuffled through papers and wrote things down in quick succession, using thought acceleration to speed up his thinking process.

{{Notice: Master, your anxiety levels are spiking, reducing this is highly recommended.}}

Sage talked in his mind, which snapped him out of his writings. Sage was right. He needs to calm down or else he’ll just make things worse. He took deep breaths in and out to calm himself down. After a minute, he regained himself and put the journal away. Right now he just needed sleep. He hadn’t been getting very good sleep since the incident, due to the fact he was becoming increasingly alert of what’s to come.

(Sage, can you help me sleep? Wake me up in eleven to twelve hours from now please.)

This was a function of Sage he often forgot about actually. She could help him sleep longer, and he knew that’s what he needed right now.

{{Notice: Of course Master, I’ll engage your sleep mode when you're ready.}}

Rimuru nodded and crawled into his bed, plopping his head on the pillow.

(Alright Sage, activate sleep mode please.)

{{Notice: Sleep mode activating, for eleven hours and thirty minutes.}}

As Sage said this, Rimuru immediately felt his consciousness slipping. He hoped this long sleep would help him enough to get to the bottom of what was going on. Rimuru closed his eyes and went to sleep. Unfortunately unaware of the events that would transpire very soon.

Chapter End!

Notes:

I thought of something prior to writing the last chapter, and in case it crossed your mind at all, no, Rimuru's bad experience when he was young had absolutely no SA involved or anything of the sort. Look, don't get me wrong, I take joy out of traumatizing my characters, but I certainly wouldn't go that far. Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!
