Chapter Text

Eveyone was in the elevator, oblivious of why they’re even there. Some of the toons stayed quiet, while others strike a conversation with other toons. Vee stayed quiet the whole time, she stood in the elevator like the others.

After some time, the elevator came to a halt and the elevator door rumbled open. Outside the elevator revealed a room. No one dared to go out, unsure of what’s out there until Vee stepped foot onto the room. The outdated tech looking ahh glanced left and right to see if the coast was clear. Roxie and Mitsi then stepped out of the elevator as well, the others decided to step out of the elevator too.

All of them stood there, unsure of what to do. Suddenly, the elevator door slammed shut behind them. Some of them was startled by the sudden noise of the elevator door. Vee turned around to see the elevator door after getting startled by the door slamming shut.

Vee then stepped forward, turned to everyone else and said, “Ok everyone! We are going to split up in groups of seven, since there are 29 of us. One group will have an extra person, and that would be me.”

Everyone listened as Vee started speaking. They nod after hearing what she had to say. “Now hurry! Split up into groups of seven.” Vee said.

”Roxie, you’re coming with me!” Mitsi exclaimed as she grabs Roxie’s hand. Everyone started splitting up in groups of seven.

”Alright people, lets look around and see what we have to do.” Vee said. Everyone nodded and ventured out into the floor

Chapter Text

Vee walked with her group that has Bobette, Sprout, Glisten, Shelly, Tisha, Roxie and Mitsi. The others followed Vee where she was going the whole time.

Just then, Vee spotted a machine near the bookshelves. She approached the machine as the others follow behind her. Vee noticed that the machine had a red light on it and she began to twist the valve. Black substance trickled down the bottom, splashing as it piled up. It quickly filled, halfway full after a second or two.

”You can do it!” a voice cheered from Vee’s group. Vee’s extracting, however, became faster after the voice cheered. After a few more seconds, the extracting process was complete. Vee let go of the valve and turned to her group, wondering who was cheering for her. She paused for a moment as she thought of the words and voice again. She realised that Shelly is the one who cheered for her after a while of thinking. She turned to Shelly and said, “Umm.. thanks, Shelly.” Shelly then nodded in response.

Vee happens to be deep in thought for a while. She then shaked her head and said to her group, “Anyway, let’s continue to find these machines I guess.” Everyone in her group nodded and followed Vee’s steps.

Just then, an alarm blared across the floor. The elevator door rumbled open and some toons were already inside the elevator. “Come on guys! We cant miss the elevator!” Vee shouted as she started running to the elevator. The others also started running to reach the elevator in time. Roxie was the first in the group to get into the elevator since she was fast. Everyone else in Vee’s group also entered the elevator as well.

After Vee entered the elevator, she stepped forward and scanned the crowd to see if everyone made it. She scanned 28 toons which means that everyone made it in time. The elevator door behind her slammed shut as she finished scanning the elevator.

The elevator started going down, meaning that there are more floors to explore…

Chapter Text

The elevator kept going down and down. Vee just stood in the elevator, waiting for the elevator door to open.

Suddenly, the trapdoor that was on the elevator floor opened and Dandy came out. “Hey! I got some items for you!” Dandy said.

No one stepped forward to but his items. “So no items? Don’t worry I’ll be back!” Dandy said before pulling a lever that cause him to descend.

The toons were confused, Dandy isn’t like this..

The elevator came to a stop and the door rumbled open, revealing the next floor. The toons stepped out of the elevator, looking around as they did so. They began to split into groups of seven just like earlier and ventured into the floor.

Vee and her group looked around the area, trying to find a machine to extract. They walked for a while until Glisten spotted a machine. He quickly walked over to the machine and started twisting the valve. The others stood next to him as he extracted the machine.

After some time, Glisten finished extracting the machine and he let go of the valve. All of them then continue to venture into the floor to find other machines.

Vee spotted a machine but noticed that Rodger was extracting it. The same alarm started blaring across the floor as Rodger finished extracting his machine.”Alright, let’s go!” Vee exclaimed, gesturing her gang to follow her.

Her gang eventually stepped into the elevator in time. Vee stood in front of everyone and scanned the crowd to see if everyone made. It took her some time to scan until she realised that one toon wasn’t in the elevator.

”Someone’s not in the elevator yet!” She said.

3 seconds remaining and Shrimpo came running to the elevator. He knew that he was too slow and couldn’t make it in time.

”SHRIMPO!!!” Goob yelled as he ejected his arms to grab the slow shrimp. His arms managed to grab Shrimpo and pulled him in before the elevator door slammed shut. Goob slowly let go of the shrimp.

Some of the toons quietly scolded the shrimp for being too slow and almost didn’t make it to the elevator.

The elevator started going down onto the next floor…

Chapter Text

The elevator keeps going down. Vee stood in the elevator with her arms crossed, thinking about how many floors will there be. Will they stop somewhere or will they keep going down?

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Shelly talking to someone. She looked at Shelly and notices that she’s talking to Tisha. She stared at the duo for a while and she had this weird feeling which felt like.. jealousy..?

Vee didn’t know why she felt that weird feeling in her. “There’s no way I feel jealous just because Shelly’s talking to Tisha, right..?” Vee thought to herself.

The elevator halted, snapping Vee out of her thoughts. The elevator door rumbled open, revealing the next floor.

But suddenly…

The whole floor became pitch black. Vee noticed this and suspected that it was a blackout. Some of the toons were puzzled, why is there a blackout? Did Dandy pay the bills?

A few toons such as Rudie, Brightney, and so on, glowed brightly in the dark. The other toons stayed close to the bright toons to be their flashlight.

Vee, however, did not go with the glowing toons as she is glowing as well. All of them ventured into the floor to find the machines. Vee decided to go solo since she could do things herself.

”Vee, wait up!”

Vee halted and turned around to see Shelly running towards her. Shelly stopped in front of Vee to catch her breath for a second. “Can I come with you..?” Shelly asked.

Vee was puzzled for a second. There are 28 other toons and 2 or more toons who can glow brightly in the dark, but why would Shelly choose to go with Vee? Vee didn’t question about why Shelly chose her instead of other toons and said, “Yea..! You can come with me.”

Shelly’s expression light up as Vee said those few words. Vee then gestured Shelly to follow her.

The two walked together. Vee’s screen glowed brightly in the dark to see the way. She then noticed a red glowing light in a room. “I think there’s a machine in that room.” Vee said to Shelly. Shelly looked in Vee’s direction and she saw the red light. “Follow me.” Vee said. Shelly nodded and followed Vee to the room.

The two of them got into the room, seeing the machine. Vee grabbed onto the valve and began twisting it. The same black substance trickled down to the bottom, pilling up quickly. “You can do it!” Shelly cheered beside Vee. The machine’s light turned green, telling Vee that it’s completed. She let go of the valve and turned to Shelly, “Alright, let’s go.” She then walked out of the room while the ammonite followed behind her.

The alarm blared across the room. “Oh! Let’s go Vee!” Shelly said. She grabbed Vee by the wrist and leads her to the elevator. Vee had a weird feeling while Shelly was grabbing her wrist, her systems started heating up so she turned on her fan to cool her down a little. Both of them got into the elevator in time.

Right after they got in, Vee began to scan the elevator to see if everyone made it.

”Oh gosh..”

Shelly, who is standing next to her, raised an eyebrow while asking, “What’s wrong Vee..?”

Before Vee could even speak, yet again, Shrimpo was outside the elevator, running. He extended one of his arms, hoping someone would grab him.

But it was too late…

Goob was about to extend his arms to grab the slow shrimp, but the elevator door slammed shut.

”SHRIMPO NO!” Goob yelled.

Goob didnt manage to save the shrimp..

”…” He just stood there in silence, not knowing how to react after witnessing Shrimpo’s tragedy.

Scraps stood next to Goob, comforting him.

The others were also left speechless, especially Vee.

The elevator descended, going to the next floor…
