    Summary

After centuries of enmity and misunderstanding, the fates of Thorin Oakenshield and Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm, become entwined in ways neither could have foreseen. What begins as resentment—Thorins' deep-seated anger toward Thranduil for not aiding his people when Smaug took Erebor—slowly shifts into something else entirely.

Through battles fought side by side, wounds tended, and unspoken truths revealed, Thorin comes to learn the depth of Thranduil’s burdens, the scars he has hidden, and the impossible patience he has held for over a century. Thranduil, in turn, watches Thorin battle his own demons, the gold sickness, and the weight of his crown.

A promise was made—if Thorin could free himself from his sickness and honour his debts, then Thranduil would hear him. And now, in the wake of war and hardship, with Erebor and Dale rebuilding, they find themselves standing at the precipice of something fragile and undeniable.

With dwarven braids woven by elven hands, whispered words in Khuzdul and Sindarin alike, and an intimacy neither of them ever expected, Thorin and Thranduil must navigate what it means to be bound—not by hatred, but by something far stronger.
