Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path... It's a prism of endless possibility where one or more simple choices can branch out into multiple realities.

What if?
Heroes. People who have it in them to do good and inspire many others; changing others' lives as well as their own. What makes them super is simply being at the right place at the right time. But for one; his life defining moment has many variations and this universe has given him a different one from the norm...
Techtronics East in New York City; a science exhibit was having an open to the public demonstration in Techtronics East. 15 year old Peter Parker was having a good time watching the experiment that was showcasing a special machine that giving off beams of radiation. Peter had been annoyed earlier in the day as he was being mocked by his peers at Midtown High; while also being looked at fondly by his teachers and aunt and uncle.
A spider came down on the web and got through the radiation...
While the experiment was going on; some staff members were doing some last minute packing up of old experiments in the facility. One such person was being very careless and almost bumped into Peter. The The man was in the position to have the spider land on his hand and bite him; the man yelling in pain as he then bumped into Peter and accidentally pushed him down to the ground. A vial of yellow liquid falling out of the boxing and spilling onto Peter's face.
Peter awoke feeling groggy in the hospital; he found himself feeling weird and got out of bed. Suddenly feeling much better than he could ever imagine; he was actuallly filling out his normally oversized clothes. "Young man... Please go back to bed..." one o the nurses said to Peter as he then went to sit down on the bed...
When he ended up crushing it; he jumped up shocked along with the doctors and Peter then quickly ran in a panic and went through the wall. He found himself hovering in air and freaked out as the people were staring up at him in shock. His Uncle Ben and Aunt May got out of their car; on the way to see him and looked up at him.
Project: Rebirth created a miracle when it turned Steve Rogers into Captain America in 1941. The hopes of it leading to an army of super soldiers were dashed as the lead scientist was killed by a Nazi spy. It didn't stop plenty others from trying to replicate it to various successes.
One such attempt headed by Howard Stark; was a serum that was digested by troubled drug addict Bob Reynolds. Creating the Sentry. In this universe; the serum ended up being moved to a facility that became Techtronics East and it had been forgotten for years. Now it was claimed by a young man who wasn't bogged down by his own troubled mind...
Peter Parker was in awe and excited to be at the Baxter Building with the famous Reed Richards studying him; his aunt and uncle were there to give moral support but a bit intimidated by Ben 'the Thing' Grimm. Plus he was bashful to be around the beautiful Susan Storm.
"Incredible... That serum... It has given him the power of ten million exploding sun!" Reed then said as their eyes widened at that.
"Stretch... You saying that the kid has the power to destroy this world within the hour?" Ben asked in disbelief.
"I doubt that he would even need that long Ben." Reed replied as Peter was in shock.
"Don't worry... We can help you Peter... Teach to control this power and use it responsibly..." Susan assured him putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I could become a hero... Like you and Captain America?" Peter asked stunned and excited as May and Ben watched.
Off course; this brought attention to the Parkers... Not the kind that they were hoping for...
Members of the US government and miitary came to see the Parkers; "I don't care how many medals you have or who you take orders from... We are not letting you conscript our Peter into being your little weapon!" May snapped at General Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross poking him in the chest.
"Mam; with all due respect. Your nephew is the most powerful individual in the entire world! No one would think twice invading and we would be saving the government a lot in the military budget! We have the Fantastic Four but we need all the help we can get from the new kinds of threats there are!" Ross then retorted as Ben then glared at Ross with Peter feeling scared.
"We can come to a compromise but he will not be your tool!" Ben warned standing by his wife.
A stage was set up and the Fantastic Four and representatives of the US Government and Fantastic Four were there for Peter to be unveiled in his blue uniform with a yellow cape, boots, gloves and what looked like shorts over it. "Please welcome Mr Peter Parker... Earth's new Sentry!" someone said to the crowd and TV crew who were excitedly applauding Peter as he floated in air.
He grinned at the attention.
"...Sorry Mr Stark but the representatives of the Pentagon have said that they are no longer paying the asking price for your new designs." Pepper Potts was saying as Tony Stark then angrily dismissed her. "So... Some fancy brat thinks that he can be the country's newest protector... That the country no longer needs my inventions..." Stark snapped.
Tony Stark never made the overseas trip that would change his life for the better; the armoured Avenger known as Iron Man never came to be. Tony Stark focused on creating weapons to destroy the Sentry.
Sentry was sent to outer space to help with rescuing a malfunctioning spaceship; "This is great... I can breathe in space... I am in space..." Sentry said excitedly as he carried the shuttle down to safety.
Peter Parker in the Baxter Building was watching the news with his aunt and uncle; there were interviews of his old teachers at Midtown and then his old classmates. He glared as Flash Thompson was saying "oh Parker and I were great buds; no one is happier than I am that he got to be a superhero!"
"Changes his tone since I am not a puny loser anymore... Plus his other friends and the girls who hanged around him..." Peter then said as someone from the government came to him.
"Mr Parker. The police have asked for your help in tracking down a thief who has been climbing up walls..." the agent then said.
"I guess... Hopefully the cameras can be there and catch my good side..." Peter then remarked going to get changed.
Peter Parker got the same ego boost as his usual counterpart after getting his powers. However an incident would change his attitude all the same.
The staff member that got the spider bite; donned a mask and used the great power to be a petty thief.
"So... You're the Spiderman? You look kind of lame and I think that your name coudl use a hyphen..." Sentry said bored in a store where the masked Spiderman was making a robbery. He then began dodging Sentry's attempts to catch him and was moving quite fast. "Wow... You are actually making this kind of fun..." Sentry said with asmirk as he caught him and held him by the neck with the thief gasping for air.
Then it stopped; "Are you alright buddy?" Sentry asked but then noticed that something was wrong...
Peter's PR team made it so that he faced no criticism from how he handled it but his reaction to it...
"A masked menace Spiderman has been terrorising our streets and a heroic youth named Peter Parker the Sentry put a stop to him for good! The misguided youth could look to him as an example; a young man who heroically saved my son Colonel John Jameson and his crew after their shuttle malfunctioned!" J. Jonah Jameson was saying in an interview but Peter turned off the TV.
Peter looked horrified as he was sitting down with his aunt and uncle; the Fantastic Four and rest giving him space. "I didn't realise how strong I was... I didn't think... I killed him... Am I a bad person..." Peter asked as they then hugged him.
"Off course not... The fact that you are guilty and it was an accident is all the proof... But you must watch yourself..." May then assured him.
"Promise us that you will never let yourself be the government's weapon... Be the people's protectors and always look out for the little guy..." Ben asked him and Peter nodded.
"I promise..." Peter then declared.
Sentry was sent out to apprehend the Hulk. Instead he came to him in peace; lending out a hand looking at him in faith. Hulk looked at him and then accepted it.
"I stand with Professor Xavier and the X-Men. Mutants should be helped to control their powers; not shunned, hunted and hated. You will get no support from me if congress passes the proposed Mutant Registration Act. Groups like the Purifiers and so called 'Friends of Humanity' are nothing more than terrorists and hate groups and I will treat them as such." Sentry said in a press conference in front of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters with Professor Xavier next to him.
Sentry, Hulk, Thor, Wasp and Ant Man the founding Avengers stood together to welcome the found Captain America to the ranks in a public ceremony.
A bearded Tony Stark was in his lab building a robot; "50th times the charm... He will be destroyed by this model..." Tony then said in a crazed voice as Pepper came up to him.
"Tony... You have got to stop this... You can't cover your tracks forever... Plus you pretty much used all of your money and the company's money building these robots that gets trashed by Sentry. You are in the red..." Pepper tried to reason with him but was ignored.
With no Void; this Sentry's greatest enemy was Tony Stark a man who destroyed himself in his obsession with destroy the Sentry and reclaiming the need for his weapons. He found himself arrested as his board members sold his company off.
The Sentry got the Fantastic Four on his shield to help Captain America to stand against the proposed Superhuman Registration Act after what happened in Stamford. They made it clear that any authorities trying to enforce such an act would be treated as criminals in their eyes. Getting the public on their side and finding no high profile superheroes willing to support it; the act fell apart when it came time to vote. The potential public outcry and rebellion from the superhero community was too great to risk. The Sentry helped the Captain lead the Avengers with the Fantastic Four and the Sentry's good friend the Hulk helping them.
It seems in the multiverse; Peter Parker always finds a way to be a hero. Even when the spider doesn't bite him...
