Chapter Text

An event that only lasts a second, can change your life forever... And it did change my life.

All began with a normal day in my simple life. I woke up one morning, inspired by a dream, something that occurs to me quite often, I might add, so, like always, I sent a really long audio to my best friend, telling him about the dream I had. My voice was all groggy, my eyes barely open as I pressed the record button. 

“You are not gonna believe what I just dreamt, me and, somehow, Rhaenyra Targaryen were flying on a dragon and...” I said, half sleep

After cringing at my own voice and thinking about voice training, I get up from bed and officially start my day.

I go up to my bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. My skin, pale as always, my face tired, and with subtle hints of facial hair that trigger my dysphoria. I sighed and started shaving before I could destroy my teeth from how I was clenching my jaw. I then comb my dirty blond hair that had a little... Well, a lot of frizz due to the humidity in my city. However, I moved forward, applied some invisible mascara to give me a more feminine look and make my turquoise eyes pop. I took a step back and looked at myself in the mirror, and there I was, me, Luna. I looked at my body, which was a little chubby and still coming around into a more feminine shape... I was mesmerized by myself, how much I’ve been doing, how much I’ve had accomplished, and just how far I have gone. I was content with my life...

Even though I could be in my head all my life, my second alarm goes off, pulling me back to earth, reminding me of my responsibilities. I rushed into my room and put my usual outfit on: black Oxford jeans and a t-shirt, I grabbed my satchel bag and rushed out of the house.

“Bye Dad, bye Mom!! I love you both” I said before leaving

Before they could finish chewing their breakfast and answer, I was out on the streets. I ran towards the bus stop and barely arrived.

After a short trip, I arrived at college. The class had already started, so I silently went to my desk, I exchanged some snarky comments with some classmates, and took out my notebook. I started writing a script for a short film I wanted to make as my thesis, I was studying filmmaking after all. I didn’t care about the class; It was one of those philosophy classes that no one knew why it was in the curriculum. So, I started writing, I wanted to make an epic fantasy short film.

I’ve always loved fantasy, in a lot of ways, you are creating a world where anything and everything is possible, another world, a better world... A better life.

The class abruptly ended, but the day went on. We made a little workshop practice in the studio, worked on team projects, and played cards in the breaks (I lost, I literally suck at games, any game... ANY GAME).

The afternoon arrived, me and Jossy walked home. Jossy lived on the outskirts of the city, but her bus stop was halfway along my own path home. She was one of the few friends that I made in college, she was the only one who didn’t consider me an annoying nerd who always talked about fantasy and TTRPGs. She was a nerd too, but she was less vocal about it.

As we walked, she turned to me.

“Hey, are you okay?” she asked with a tender smile.

“Oh, yeah, why?” I asked, a little taken aback.

“I’m just asking, you know, after everything that happened last month” she said, a little worried.

“Well, in a lot of ways, I want a fresh start... But life doesn’t work that way... I... I’m just trying to move on and be content with everything good in life.” I say with hope in my voice, but also a little remorse and guilt. “Everything good in life, like...” I say with a mischievous smile.

“If you say playing D&D, I’ll kill you” she says between giggles.

I giggle too “I was gonna say: Everything good in life, like having a breeding kink... But yeah, D&D too” I say jokingly.

We both laugh.

Jossy and I arrived at her bus stop, and she looked at me.

“Well, this is me” she gets near me and gives me a hug “I love you girl”

I hug her really hard, as I always do “I love you too Jossy, thanks for being my friend”

We break the hug “ No, thanks to you for being my friend”  

I smile and leave as she waits for the bus. I started walking down the street, going to my home, but didn’t take my usual route, this time, I went through the riverside street.

The sun glared in my face, I felt the warmth and serenity. My mind was imagining situations, dialogues, fights, in my fantasy worlds... Where I am the protagonist, unlike in real life, and having better character development than in real life.

All of a sudden, the sky turned dark, and out of nowhere, a blue ripple appeared in the ground in front of me. I tried to move off and grab onto something, but the ripple started to pull me in.

“Help! Please!” I shouted at the top of my lungs

However, no one was able to help since everything started shaking, my hand could not resist anymore, and it slipped. I try to grab the floor, but to no avail. I fell into a ripple and started falling into a blue abyss that slowly turned black.

I was falling through what seemed like an infinite dark abyss; I was tired of screaming, so I was contemplating my existence in silence. A lot of things were running through my mind: Is this how this all ends? How could this happen? I can´t believe it...

Meanwhile, in Paris, Ladybug and Cat Noir were fighting an akumatized villain, the infamous “Mr Pidgeon”. Once it was defeated, Ladybug threw her into the air and made “the Miraculous Ladybug” and fixed everything in the city. Once everything was fixed, and Ladybug and Cat Noir were about to fist-bump, all of a sudden, a blue ripple appeared in the sky.

I was violently thrown out of the abyss and started falling to the ground of Paris. I saw the Eiffel Tower in the distance, I started screaming again, and I suddenly fainted.

When I started to wake up, some weird voices were talking around me.

“I didn’t know that your Miraculous Ladybug could do that, M’lady” said a soft, masculine voice

“That was not my power, Kitty Cat, and you know it” replied a feminine but stern voice

“So... then what happened?” The masculine voice asked “It’s not usual for to girls fall from the sky out of a blue portal... Even for our standards”

“I don’t know, maybe it’s a plan from Shadow Moth to distract us” the feminine voice answered, trying to find the solution to the riddle

I started opening my eyes. My vision was completely blurry but was slowly coming into focus. I open my eyes, and I was greeted with the sight of two persons, black-haired woman wearing a red jumpsuit with black polka dots. Next to her was a man with blond messy hair, strange cat looking green eyes and was wearing a black catsuit with cat ears on his head.

I looked at them strangely and started getting up a little.

“Easy, lady” said the guy with the cat suit as he helped me stand up “you just fainted, so take it easy”

“What... What happened?” I managed to say in a groggy voice

“You just fell from the sky” said the polka dot girl

They took me to a nearby bench and sat me down. I looked at them as they looked at each other.

“Who... Who are you?” I asked, confused

Even though my question was sincere, they looked at me as if I were crazy or something.

“You might have heard of us, the heroes of Paris!” The cat suit guy said in a really self-gloating manner.

I looked at him confused, as I didn’t know what he was talking about.

“No? Really? Like doesn’t this pretty face ring a bell?” He insisted

I shrugged “Sorry... Not really” 

“We are Ladybug and Cat Noir” he said, a little desperate, pointing to himself and the polka dot girl

The polka dot got near me and examined my head, looking for injuries but not finding anything. She looked at Cat Noir and placed her hand on her chin, thinking.

“Maybe she has amnesia?” She proposed “But no... she has no head injuries”

They turned to look at me suspiciously, I just smiled shyly and looked away. They started to whisper to themselves, but I couldn´t hear anything of what they said, I was too dazed. Before they could turn back to me, a beeping sound went off. Ladybug touched her earring, and Cat Noir his ring.

“We are about to detransform, my lady” Cat Noir exclaimed

Ladybug turned to me “Please stay here, we will come back”

In that moment, she started to spin her yo-yo and used it as grappling hook and flew away, as did Cat Noir by extending his staff. I looked at that in awe, not believing what I saw. “Were they real superheroes? how was that possible?” were the thoughts that popped into my mind. I sat down, processing what was happening, superheroes didn’t exist as far as I remembered. I started to look around, I was in fact in Paris, but how did I get there, I was not even in the same continent as I was before. Nothing made sense, I could only think of only one option that could explain the ripple, the falling, the mysterious displacement and superheroes... I was transported to another world.

I sat there, shocked, and after a few minutes of loneliness, Ladybug and Cat Noir appeared again in front of me, falling from the roofs.

“Sorry for leaving” Ladybug said as she approached me “What’s your name?”

I looked at her and sighed “I’m Luna”

Cat Noir came close to me “Nice meeting you Luna, we need to ask you something...” he said a little nervous “Do you know anything about the portal that appeared in the sky? Or, why were you falling?” he asks, trying not to be so blunt

“I... I...” my voice cracks a little “I don’t really know...”

“Do you remember who you are, your name aside” Ladybug said bluntly and with a hint of suspicion

“I don’t have amnesia...” I answered

“Then tell us what happened” she said, still a little suspicious of me

“I was coming home from college when, suddenly, a blue ripple appeared in front of me. It started sucking me in, I tried to grab onto something, but it was too strong, and I fell in. After that, I was falling for quite a while in a dark void. Until I fell from the sky, here, in Paris” I explained as I analyzed what had happened

“What do you mean here in Paris? You weren’t in Paris before?” Cat Noir asked, confused

“No... I was not... I’m not even from this continent” I answered

“What? Shadow Moth’s powers doesn’t work that far-“ She started mumbling

“But also, where I come from... There are no superheroes” I interrupt her

Cat Noir looks at me confused “What do you mean there are no superheroes?”

“What are you implying?” Ladybug asks

“I don’t know how, I really don’t, but I think I’m from another world/ universe” I propose, still trying to convince myself

After a moment of convincing and questions, I explained to Ladybug and Cat Noir that, in my world, there were no superheroes, no Miraculous, and no magic. They asked me a few questions to determine I wasn’t crazy, which I actually felt fair, it was a crazy theory.

When I finished explaining, they looked at each other and whispered to themselves, but this time I heard what they said.

“Do you believe her?” Ladybug asked Cat Noir

“She doesn’t seem to be lying, my lady, she seems sincere” He answered

“Maybe is one of Shadow Moths plan to take out Miraculous, like that time with the other me” she said and for a moment she turned her head to look at me and turned back

“It could be, but why would he create an amok that doesn’t know about the Miraculous and this crazy story” he said

“You may be right, Kitty Cat...” Ladybug sighs

“Don’t be so surprised, bugaboo” Cat Noir remarked proudly

They both turned around to look at me, both with serious looks, thinking about what to do with me. I smiled shyly, getting a little nervous from their stare.

“So, let me guess, our little multiversal friend, you don’t have a place to stay, don’t you?” Cat Noir asked

“That... And anything else, I had a satchel bag with my things, but I guess I lost it when I fell...” I said, a little bumped

Ladybug continued staring at me, like making calculations of how much of a risk I am.

“I have a plan, sort of” Cat Noir said, a little unsure

“You do?” Ladybug asked surprised

“Well, we can’t leave her homeless...” He answered 

“Okay, what do you have in mind?” She asked intrigued

“I have a friend who might be able to take her in” Proposed Cat Noir

“I guess that’s better than nothing” Ladybug said “but keep a close eye on her, okay?”

Cat Noir makes a mischievous smile “of course, my lady, I will keep a really close eye on her”

“Okay, I’ll see you later, Cat Noir” she said before turning back to me "We will talk later, nice meeting you” she said kindlier this time before leaving

I looked at Cat Noir, and he looks at me

“She is usually more fun, hehe” he says nervously "Can you stand?” He asks

I get up from the bench and nod

“Good, wait here a couple of minutes, I will contact my friend who can help you” He says as he takes his staff out

“Wait Cat No-“ I said, but before I finished, he left “and he is gone... Great”

I sat back down on the bench and grabbed my head.

“I can’t believe this is happening...” I said to myself

I dwelled in my thoughts for minutes, thinking about how my life was over, that I would ever see friends again, and that I lost everything. But my pessimistic thoughts were interrupting buy a sweet voice.

“Hello... Are you okay?”

I lift my eyes and see Cat Noir but as a civilian, his eyes were normal now, and his hair was tidy and perfect. I look at him, a little confused.

“Luna, right?” He asked “Cat Noir told me about your situation, I’m Adrien, I’m here to help”

I look at him confused, asking myself why he was referring to Cat Noir as he weren’t him, the mask he wore wasn’t really effective to conceal his identity. I ask myself if I wasn’t supposed to know or something. But I played along.

“Oh yeah, that’s me, Luna” I say as I stand up from the bench “Nice meeting you Adrien” I smiled shyly

“Nice meeting you too!” He said with a welcoming smile “Cat Noir told me everything, you must be confused and need a place to stay, don’t you?”

“Yeah, I actually am, and I do hehe” I laughed nervously, trying to laugh at this dreadful situation

“Don’t worry, I’ll help you, if you follow me” he said as he started walking, waiting for me to follow

I started following him as we started walking through the streets of Paris.

“So, Luna, what do you work? Are you in college?” Adrien asked breaking the ice

“Yeah, I study filmmaking at college” I answered “what about you Adrien?”

“I’m a model for my father’s company” He answered

I analyze his appearance, he looked almost too perfect, he was handsome, pretty and had a skinny body, perfect for modeling, from what I knew.

“You certainly look the part” I said

“Thanks” he says like he is used to that kind of praise “Have you ever being to Paris before?” He asked

“Actually, I was lucky enough to come to Paris before...” I said looking around “it was different then though...”

“Yeah, Cat Noir told me about the other dimension thing, but if you need help, just ask” he says with a tender smile

“I... I appreciate that” I responded and smile back at him

After a couple of blocks, we arrived at the gates of an enormous mansion. I looked at it amazed and suddenly the gates opened, my eyes widen in surprise. 

I looked at Adrien “you live here?” I asked

“Yep...” He answered without giving it a second thought but with an underlying sadness that was really subtle

“Okay... He is rich... Good to know” I say to myself following him

As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a suited woman waiting at the gate. She had black hair with a red streak tied up in a tidy bun, and she was wearing a black suit and a red turtleneck sweater underneath. Her stare was stern and serious. I swallow nervously as we approach.

“You are late, Adrien” the woman said with a monotonous tone

“I’m sorry, Nathalie” Adrien answered

Nathalie turned her eyes to me and looked me up and down

“Adrien, who is she?” She asked

“I’m Luna, nice to meet you” I say nervously

“Nice meeting you, Miss. Luna” she said politely but still emotionless, he turns to Adrien again “Why is Miss. Luna is here Adrien?” She asked with a stern tone

“Well... She... Eh...” He started mumbling

I couldn’t believe him, he was a superhero, he made the plan, and he didn’t care to make an excuse to let me stay at his home. I had to do something, so I dared to start talking.

“I’m sorry, ma’am, to drop by unannounced, it’s just that I was part of an exchange program, but the one who organized it messed things up. Once I arrived to France, I didn’t have place to a stay or a way to go back to my country or even a place at college... Adrien was kind enough to offer me to stay here... I didn’t want to intrude but I don’t really have money for a hotel” I said nervously and a little fast so it could sound real but not really understandable

Nathalie sighed “You should have asked Adrien, if your friend could stay or not”

“it’s until she finds a job and a place to stay” he answered

“I understand, the word of the Agreste family is important, so you can stay, Luna, until you can get back on your feet” she said looking at me

“Thank you, ma’am, I really appreciate it!” I say excited

“But your father is not going to like it, Adrien” she warns him

“Yeah... I know” Adrien sighed

“Then go talk to him and explain him the situation” she instructed as she opened the door

“Yes, Nathalie” he mumbled, entering his home

Nathalie turned to me, her expression softened a bit

“Please, Miss Luna, if you may follow me, I’ll show you your room” she suggested

“Yes, ma’am” I exclaimed, following her

Nathalie turned around, revealing a futuristic exoskeleton, that I assumed helped her walk.

As we entered the mansion, I could not be mesmerized by the beauty of the mansion: those marble floors and pillars, the fine decorations, the perfectly painted walls, and magnificent stairs, it was perfect.

Nathalie guided me as I admired the mansion, and I saw the painting of Adrien and his father at the top of the stairs. A really fine oil painting depicting Adrien and his father, but both look rather sad and emotionless. But before I could wonder about that, Nathalie opens the door to the guest room.

I looked inside and saw a really big room, a dresser, a queen-sized bed, and an en-suite bathroom, all extremely luxurious. A silly smile was drawn on my face involuntarily.

“This is heaven...” I whisper

Nathalie made a small smile, reacting to my innocent reaction.

“Enjoy it, I’ll bring you some towels and...” She looked at me “I believe you need new clothes”

“What?” I asked surprised “what’s wrong with my clothes?” I asked, confused

“I didn’t mean it that way, but yes, your clothes are... I wouldn’t even say last season” she explained seriously “but I meant that, since I see you are not carrying any luggage, I assume you lost your clothes” 

“Stolen, actually” I lied

“Okay, I’ll get you some clothes” she politely announced to me

“I’ll really appreciate that, thanks” I replied with a smile

She nods and leaves. I wait a few seconds and dive into the bed, feeling the cozy mattress against my body.

“Wow... So soft” I hummed “at least there was something positive about this”

I spent a couple of minutes in that bed, feeling the high threaded sheets and the soft pillows. But suddenly, the door opened, and a tall man entered my room. I got up from the bed quickly, and I realized that must be Adrien’s father, the one I saw on the painting. I swallowed and he approached me, with one hand in hand he tidied his light blond hair that was combed back, and, with the other hand, he adjusted his tie. He stood near me, his stylish attire made me feel out of place, and his great height was not helping either.

After analyzing me for a minute, he breaks the silence.

“You have a rather particular choice in outfit, interesting” he noted

“I’m Luna, nice to meet you...” I said, nervously extending my hand for a handshake

“I’m Gabriel Agreste” he exclaimed as he shook my hand

I try to say something, but words won’t come out, my mind was blank.

“Adrien told me about your situation, you can stay for now”

“Thank you, sir, I appreciate it, sir” I spluttered nervously 

He seemed to notice that I was nervous, but didn’t say anything and started leaving

“If there is anything I could do to help, to repay this big favor, I’ll do it” I offered nervously

“We’ll see, for now it’s late, go to sleep, Luna” he said leaving

When he left, I felt as I could breathe again. I sat on the bed, and Nathalie arrived with some clothes and towels.

“These were chosen by Mr. Agreste for you to wear” she explained as she left some clothes at my side “They’ll fit perfectly” 

“I can only thank you again” I expressed

“You are welcome” she replied, leaving

I looked at the clothes and took them to the bath. I took a nice, hot shower to relax and try to slow down my heart. Once I was finished, I tried the clothes on. It was a black silk pajama pants and shirt, decorated with a crimson red embroidery that went up the back and down the sleeves. I looked at myself in the mirror, and the clothes not only fitted me like a glove... They looked good on me, and I didn’t know how he could know that my favorite color was crimson red. He knew my size, my favorite color, and what it would look good on me, just by seeing me for just a minute or so.

Even though I was amazed, the adrenaline from the lying and reality-shattering experiences was dying down, I yawned and laid down on the bed, closing my eyes.

But before I could have a good night's sleep, someone knocked on my window, I opened my eyes, and it was Cat Noir. I couldn’t believe that he transformed, came out the window, just to knock on mine. I started feeling that I was not supposed to know who he was, and that mask somehow concealed his identity, and somehow it didn’t work on me... Or, I was smarter than anyone in Paris... I was inclined toward the first one, but I lacked the information to be certain.

I open the window and let him in

“My little multiversal friend, I’m sorry to awaken you... I brought you something” he exclaimed proudly, and took my satchel bag from behind his back “Ta-da!” He singed

I smiled “You are the freaking best, you know that?” I said

“I know I am” he bragged giving me my back

He jumped to the edge of the window and looked back at me.

“I leave you to sleep now, if you need anything, just tell Adrien, and he will help” he said

“I know” I expressed with a mischievous smile

He nodded and jumped out of the room. I open my bag and look at my things: my notebook, my books, my phone, and, most importantly, my dice set. I started scrolling on my phone, even if I knew the battery would die and I would never be able to charge it. I started reading my messages to my friends, and tears came down my cheek, knowing that I may never see them again. It hurt, it hadn’t even been a day, and I already missed them.

My phone was about to die when I saw my last message to Jossy: “What I really need in my life now is a fresh start” My eyes were swollen, and my breath was hitching. My phone finally died, leaving me alone with my thoughts… and I thought that maybe I should try to look for the positive things in this situation, to look for the bright side, to pounce at the unique opportunity of being in a world with superheros... To make the best of this fresh start in a new world.

Chapter Text

The light of the morning waked me up from my deep slumber, I opened my eyes, hoping that everything that happened yesterday would have been a dream, but no. I opened my eyes expecting the sight of my own room, but no. I was still in this luxurious paradise, I was not planning to complain... But it meant that yesterday's events were real.

I sat on the bed, as I looked out the window, the morning glaze of the sun making Paris shine. It was so dreamy, that I could help but smile.

"At least, this is beautiful" I whisper to myself

I stretched myself and put on my old clothes back on. It was a shame to leave that comfy pajama but I wasn't going to go around another person's house wearing pajamas.

I went out of my room and the mansion was dead silent. The clock in my room said it was around 8:30 am, so I guessed no one was up. I sneaked around to the kitchen, not wake anyone up.

As I entered the kitchen, I found it to be as luxurious as the rest of the mansion and fully stocked pantry.

"Fuck... I could get used to this" I whispered as I admired the kitchen

I wandered around the kitchen and the pantry, looking for ingredients to make some breakfast. I stopped for a moment wondering if Adrien and his father would be okay with me cooking in their kitchen since I had a pet peeve that I didn't like people opening my fridge or my kitchen cabinets. But then I thought that Adrien's father seemed strict and would appreciate that a guest that he was almost forced upon, would make themselves useful and help, at least a little... I would soon know that I was wrong.

I took some eggs, a mixture of cheesess and some other ingredients and made some omelettes for Adrien, Nathalie and Gabriel. I arranged everything tidily on trays and served some orange juice and grabbed one of them to bring to Adrien.

But as soon as I take the first step upstairs, I hear someone talking in the room next door. I approached and heard Gabriel's voice and some high pitched voice that I didn't recognise. When I heard that they had stopped talking, I knocked on the door. 

"Come in" Gabriel shouted through the door

I opened the door, revealing Gabriel's atelier. It was astonishing as the rest of the mansion, but I took a step forward and saw an enormous painting of a blond woman that faded into an abstract dresslike figure made with eyes and other shapes, painted in a gold, sapphire and emerald brushstrokes. 

"Who said you could disturb me?" Gabriel asked inquisitively, taking me out of my trance

"Oh, sorry, since you were so nice and let me stay, I made breakfast... I thought it's the least I can do" I explained nervously

"When I'm in this room, I shall not be disturbed, understood Miss. Luna?" He order

"Yes sir, I'm sorry Mr. Agreste" I replied

He looked at me up and down again, judgy and with an annoyed look.

"Come, and leave the tray near me" he ordered

I complied, I went near him and left the tray on the table that was near him.

"I hope you like it" I expressed hastily, believing I could make a quick getaway, but no. Gabriel stopped me on my track

"Don't go yet" He commanded

I stopped on my tracks and look at him

"Since you are so eager to help" he said before leaving his stand and walking around me analysing me "I have a couple of questions you might answer that may determine your stay in this household"

"I understand sir" I stuttered

"First of all, do you have studies? Did I go to college?" He asked

"Yes, I've been studying filmmaking" I answered

"Filmmaking, interesting, in which areas do you perform the best?" He asked again 

"I like scriptwriting, but I'm good in the production department and I've been in the art department sometimes too..." I answered

"Mmm... Interesting, no costume design?" He asked as if my answer was weird

"I've done it, I'm not good at it, I don't really like it" I answered truthfully

He smirked for a second and looked at me.

"Most people get near Adrien to get to me and... Boost their careers in fashion" he explained

"Oh no, me? I have zero fashion sense-" I said relieved

"I can see that" he remarked

"Yeah..." I sighed embarrassed

"So, you have no job nor place to stay?" He asked

"No sir" I answered

"Family?" He asked

"Not that I can contact sir" I answered with a little sadness in my voice, knowing that I might never see my family ever again

"that's pity, you can go now" he said as he bends a little and took a bite of the omelette

I started walking towards the door and I saw that he smirked when he tried the omelette. But before I left, I stopped and looked at him again.

"Sir, I wanted to thank you for the clothes you gave yesterday" I said taking a step back into the room

"You are Wel-" he tried to answer before I interrupted him

"I want to say that it was amazing that with just a look at me you knew my size... But most importantly, my favourite color. And I may add that embroidery might seem a decoration to the naked eye but..." I started mumbling about what the pajamas represented and how the colours and the fabrics meant. I breathe deeply, trying to relax and tone down my excitement "I mean, I don't even know how you knew my favourite colour was crimson red. But, if you can do all that for a pajama... You are just amazing at what you do" I said a little agitated

Gabriel made a small smile and looked at me with a faint glow in his eyes. But that glow quickly disappeared.

"I appreciate your observation; you may leave now Miss. Luna" he said

"Oh yeah, sorry" I apologised while I left

After that, I went back to the kitchen, got the other omelette and made my way to Adrien's door. I knocked and an Adrien in pajamas answered the door. His hair was all messy, which actually made him look a lot like Cat Noir. 

"I made breakfast!" I singed showing the tray

Adrien, still half asleep, scratched his eyes and smiled.

"Thanks Luna, that's so sweet" he said taking the tray and moving his head inviting me in

"I'm okay Adrien, I need to bring Nathalie her Omelette yet" I said 

"You didn't need to do this" he expressed

I was about to answer but a squeaky voice said something about "don't say that to her, she is cooking with delicious cheese!" I looked at him confused and weirded out, and he took his phone out.

"Hahaha, I should change my notification sound, it's embarrassing" he said nervously

I shrugged

"I hope you like it, and I really really hope that Nathalie reacts more like you than your father" I expressed

"You talked to my father?!" He exclaimed surprised

"Yeah, this is actually my goodbye gift" I teased "it's okay, I believe I handled it pretty well" 

"Well, you are still in the house I guess..." He commented

"I guess I am, enjoy Adrien" I said leaving

Finally, I arrived at Natalie's door, I sighed and knocked. I heard some coughing and finally Nathalie spoke.

"Come in" Nathalie shouted through the door

I opened the door to her room and found Nathalie still lying in bed, her face a little paler than yesterday. She looked at me taken aback, clearly not expecting my intrusion.

"I've brought you breakfast, Ma'am" I dared to say

"It wasn't necessary, Miss. Luna" she answered

"Please, call me just Luna, Ma'am... I'm not really used to this level of formality" I suggested

"Okay... Luna" she agreed

I left the tray on her lap, and she made a faint smile.

"Thanks, it looks delicious" she complimented

"I appreciate that, but... I hope they taste good..." I said nervously because I didn't actually know if flavors were the same as in my world

She takes a bite of the omelette, and she lifts an eyebrow.

"This is actually quite nice" she said in a gentle voice

I get near "Okay... Give me feedback" I demanded gently, giving in to my obsession of trying to get feedback to get better

"Well... It certainly well cooked, spices that you implemented give an interesting hotness that wakes you up and the cheese makes it more tolerable and, also making it rich and flavorful" she analysed

"Thank you, finally someone who gives me constructive feedback on a dish" I expressed in relief

She looked at me interested and, suddenly, her phone rang. Nathalie picked it up and started talking.

"Yes, Mr. Agreste" Nathalie started answering

I started going out of her room, since I thought she wouldn't want me to hear her call, as I thought that Gabriel and Nathalie were rooms apart, he could have come here to talk. However, before I left, Nathalie gestured to me to wait, so I did.

"Okay, Mr. Agreste, I'll do it right away" she said before hanging up

"You need something Ma'am?" I asked, wondering why she stopped me

"Yeah, you may know that Adrien has a tight schedule, and he needs someone to assist him, make sure he is on time and chaperone him from time to time" she said in a monotonous tone as she had yesterday

"Chaperone? Isn't Adrien old enough to..." I was about to talk but I decided to hold my tongue "Yeah, I guessed that as a model he is quite busy"

"Yes he is, Mr. Agreste wants you to assist him and perform other duties, like arranging his calendar, going with him on appointments, etc." Nathalie explained

"Me? Like Adrien's assistant? Like a job?" I asked utterly confused

"Yes, you are his age, so you can attend his social events if necessary to keep an eye on him, you seem responsible, educated and capable" she kept explaining, describing me as if they knew me. "Also, and most importantly, Mr. Agreste seems to like you" she finished explaining

"Ehhh... Ehhh... I'm not saying I'm not all of those things, but you just met me, isn't it a bit rushed?" I asked

"I will be monitoring you, so it's no problem. But do you want the job?" She asked but it sounded more like a command

Not having another option, I reluctantly accept.

"I'm glad you accepted, once I get up... We'll need to give you a better look, you cannot dress like that when you are working for the Agreste family" Nathalie exclaimed

"I understand, I dress horribly, I take the hint" I sighed

I opened the door and looked at Nathalie

"Enjoy the breakfast" I said with a smile in my face

She nodded and started eating. I left Nathalie's room and went to mine. After an hour or so, Nathalie came to my room with a change of clothes, I didn't bother to complain and I put them on. For a moment I thought that it would be a formal but unique outfit, the pajama that Gabriel gave yesterday was like that after all. But when I finished dressing, I realized that I was wearing an almost exact copy of Nathalie's outfit, a turtleneck sweater and black suit jacket. The only difference between our outfits was that I was not wearing glasses and that, instead of pants, they gave me a black pencil skirt. I looked at myself in the mirror and looked quite pretty and professional. I glanced at Nathalie that was behind me, organizing the wardrobe with some new clothes.

"So... should I dye a red streak in my hair too?" I taunted

"It would look good on you" she replied taunting me back with some sass

I giggled softly and went near Nathalie; she turned and gave me a tablet.

"That tablet contains Adrien' schedule, a database with his acquaintances information, it has unlimited cellular network and all pertinent emergency contacts" she explained

"Okay, got it I'll start right away with everything" I confidently declared

"I'll monitoring your performance, don't disappoint us" she said leaving

As soon as Nathalie left, I started reading Adrien' schedule, his life was fully booked and planned, Chinese classes, fencing, modeling, fittings and shootings, all day long with little break. Once I finished reading all the overwhelming amount of information that was in the tablet, I went downstairs, where Nathalie and Adrien were waiting for me. Nathalie nods at me and makes her way back into her room. I looked at Adrien and smiled.

"So, Mr. Agreste, my name is Luna, I´ll be assisting you from now on" I said imitating Nathalie's emotionless tone

He chuckles.

"I can't believe my father gave you a job" he pointed out

"I can't either" I responded

I smiled shyly, and we went to the car. The chauffeur drove us first to a fitting, while Adrien was trying out different outfits from a collection, I read the different people in Adrien's acquaintances list. A lot of names, Chloe Bourgeois, Nino Lahiffe, Alya Cesare, Kagami Tsurugi, and a profile with more than enough information was made for each and one of them. However, while I was skimming the profiles, I opened one accidentally and weirdly enough there was a profile that was barely filled, a girl called Lila Rossi. But before I could read more, Adrien finished the fitting.

We arrived at lunch at a restaurant that Adrien mentioned, and I kept reading about the job for a little while, until I could not resist the urge to investigate this world and the difference with mine. I began searching the internet with trivial things first, my favourite shows, movies, if I existed in this reality (they didn't), some historical events and some more miscellaneous things. I was so absorbed in the search that I didn't realize that the waiter was asking for my order. I looked at the waiter and smiled shyly.

"I would..." I start stuttering 

"She will have filet mignon with asparagus and the wine reduction sauce" Adrien told the waiter for me

I nod to the waiter

"You don't need to work that hard, you know that don't you?" Adrien clarifies

"Oh... no I was just looking the differences with my world" I explained "But... since talking about it's far more entertaining that reading about it... can I ask you a couple of questions?" I asked

"Ask away Luna, I'll answer whatever I can" he said kindly

"Okay... let's start with the obvious stuff... So there are superheroes?" I asked

Adrien explained how in this world there are superheroes around the world. He explained that in Paris, when a Villain known as Hawk Moth, who had the ability to make anyone with bad emotions into a supervillain through butterflies called Akumas, started attacking Paris to obtain the Miraculous. The Miraculous were magical objects that gave people different powers, Ladybug and Cat Noir were the holders of the ones Hawk Moth wanted, he explained. Adrien also explained that lately, there were sightings of new Miraculous holders, like Carapace, Rena Rouge, Ryuko, Vesperia and more that help Ladybug. As he explained, I was surprised how he explained everything without outing himself as Cat Noir and how he pretended that those new heroes weren't his friends. When he finished explaining, I took a moment to think before opening my mouth.

"So... Hawk Moth, now Shadow Moth, can turn anyone at any moment into an akumatized villain? He only needs bad emotions?" I asked trying to keep up

"Exactly" Adrien answered as if it were something normal

"That certainly makes you sleep like a baby, not a single gram of anxiety, not at all" I said ironically 

"You'll get used to it" he tried to reassure me

Adrien and I finished our lunch, and we were driven to the next of Adrien's activities. However, when we arrived, a sudden loud noise deafened my ears, I turned to see where it came from. I saw how the streets, that a moment ago were perfectly normal, in disarray, cars were flipped, people running and, in the middle, there was a strange person that had a rather interesting choice in outfit, but what was more noticeable was a hole in the middle of their torso. Before I could react, this strange person went near a car, and the hole was magically pulled out his body, it was made bigger and then the car disappeared, just for it to fall from the sky seconds later. 

"My Name is Faller! Come out Ladybug and Cat Noir and give me your Miraculous!" Faller yelled so everyone could hear

He was definitely one of those akumatized Villains, I looked at Adrien and he was gone and nowhere to be seen.

"Of course he is gone" I sighed annoyed

I looked at the akumatized Villain and started running, but he saw me. He made a devilish smile and threw his chest portal in my direction, I tried to outrun it but I couldn't. When the portal reached me, it made me fall from a couple of meters next to him. I tried to run again but he grabbed my wrist.

"Oh good, we have a new participant in my new show!" he announced "So lady, are you ready for my show? Are you ready fooooorrrrr: Can it survive the fall?!!!" He continued

"what?!" I yelled trying to break free of his grasp

"Don't fright my unwilling contestant, you have one chance to walk away, that simple" he said, " You can be saved, If Ladybug and Cat Noir take your place" He yelled again

I was in real trouble; I tried to struggle and escape but it was in vain. Until I heard a familiar and teasing voice coming from a rooftop.

"I'm not really FALLING in love with this show, it's really a CATastrophe" he jested

I felt a sense of relief seeing Cat Noir on that rooftop, and second later Ladybug. She standed strong, spinning her yo-yo and looking down on the Villian like if she was going through every possible outcome in her head.

"Yes, Faller, release her and we will be part of your show" she proposed boldly

Faller's smile grew wider as the pressure on my wrist started to ease, finally letting me go.

"But Can she survive the fall?" Faller whispered in a sinister tone

"Wait no!" I begged as I moved away from him 

Cat Noir and Ladybug jumped to save me, but it was too late. Foller used his chest portal to teleport me away, in a blink of an eye, I was falling down again. I felt the deafening air slushing my ears and the pounding in my heart as I fell down to my death. I looked around, but I only saw water and the shore line far away. He had transported me to the English Channel. I looked for a way to save myself, maybe something that Faller send before, maybe Ladybug and Cat Noir, another blue ripple, I begged for anything. But no one came.

My body hit the water and I fainted. When I regained consciousness, I felt an agonising pain in my head and lungs, I was drowning. Everything was dark and I couldn't see anything, the rough floor grazed my feet as I desperately swam upwards, but I was too weak, I started falling into the dark waters.

My back gently hit the floor, my arms grazed something metallic and rough, but I couldn't care, I was dying. I stared at the little light that shone like a star on the surface, the last light I would ever see... My eyes turned blurry as my lungs started to be painfully filled with water, I struggled hitting my hands against the floor hitting the metal object.

But then I heard a deep voice talking to me.

"Take it" the mysterious voiced said to me

I moved my head, looking to the side and saw a glowing purple light that was next to my hand. I must had opened that strange metallic thing when I was struggling. The glowing purple light was strangely hypnotic and soothing.

"If you want to live, reach for the light" the voice said soothingly "just reach"

I reached for the light, and I felt something snapping on my wrist. I moved my hand back to me and the light followed; it was in my wrist. I didn't understand what happened, but the voice came to me again.

"Say: Darkness rises" the voice ordered as he was whispering in my ear

"Darkness rises" I said with my last breath

For a moment nothing happened, and I closed my eyes, accepting fate. But all of the sudden, I feel something wrapping around my legs, then my torso and finally my head. I opened my eyes and felt invigorated and felt as if I was pulled up by something. I rapidly ascended and got out of the water. I took a deep breath and I fell to some sort of ground beneath me, it was a dark material with some white dots scarred around it. It looked like a dark sky with a few stars.

Once I took a moment to recover and saw the portal, still open out in the air. I instinctively jumped towards the portal, even though I couldn't reach it, but to my surprise, I did.

I was suddenly back in Paris and I saw Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting against Faller. However, as soon as I saw that, I felt that my body started acting on its own. I ran towards the fight and jumped toward Faller who had thrown away the two heroes. At that moment, I felt as if something appeared in my hands and I struck Faller with it, making him fly towards a wall. I felt the smoothness of a staff that appeared in my hand and that was made from the same material of that weird ground from before.

But before I could keep asking what happened, Faller threw a portal at me that I instinctively made a backflip and dodge.

"Who are you?!" Faller asked pissed

I stared at him angrily and something came over me and attacked him. I threw a few punches and dodged some of his. He came near me and I knew he would try to use his portal again, so I jumped over him and tripped him with my leg, making him fall. I didn't know how to fight, but I was actually fighting and doing it quite well. 

"The gloves! The akuma is in the gloves" Cat Noir yelled coming towards me

I felt his voice now, weirdly annoying this time though. However, I took advantage that Faller was on the floor. Before he could get up, I made him feel my foot in his face, stumping him furiously and I took his gloves. I turned to Cat Noir and, I didn't know why, reluctantly gave him the gloves. 

"Thanks" Cat Noir said

Cat Noir used his Cataclysm and destroyed the gloves, making them dust. The Akuma appeared as Adrien described earlier today, and it was quickly snatched by Ladybug that just arrived.

"I didn't know that you called for backup M'lady" Cat Noir said looking at me

Ladybug stared at me confused

"I didn't Cat Noir" she guaranteed

Both looked at each other and took their weapons back out. I didn't know why but I smirked and, suddenly, my body turned into some sort of shadows, and I made some kind of dash, retreating. 

I arrived at a dark alley and the mysterious voice was heard again.

"Say: Darkness falls" the voice ordered

I searched from the source of the voice, but no one was there to be found. Then, the voice spoke again, but this time I realized it was like inside my head.

"Say: Darkness falls!" The deep voice ordered impatiently

I felt as if his voice echoed in my mind like an intrusive thought.

"Okay, Darkness Falls" give in to his demands

I felt as if something was taken off my body and the throbbing pain in my head started again. 

"Fuck, fuck, it hurts" I cried

Fortunately, magic ladybugs appeared and magically made my pain and injury go away.

"What? How?" I asked touching my head

I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to relax and process what just happened. But when I opened my eyes, I saw a ball of dark mist floating in front of me. The mist started to change before my eyes, making different shapes, until it finally took a final shape. It was a small shape, not bigger than a tennis ball, it was neither humanoid or animal and when it opened its eyes, they were a glowing purple with predator pupils. His eyes were set on me and the voice made itself heard again, partly in my head but it also came from... The weird creature in front of me.

"Greetings lady" the deep voice said, and the strange creature smiled showing their fangs

I felt my mind going numb at this confusing sight, a creature, that didn´t look like any kind of animal, was talking to me. I felt the cold wall against my back and my knees almost giving up, but I could gather strengths to say something.

"Who...What are you?" I asked confused

"I´m a Kwami, my name is Vhorak" The Kwami answered 

"A Kwami? I don't really understand" I mumble

Vhorak sighed before continuing talking "We Kwamis are creatures that..." he moved his head to the side "We will continue this conversation when the pesky bearer of the Cat Miraculous leaves" he said annoyed

Before I could react, Vhorak transformed itself into the ball shape again and he pressed himself against my chest. Somehow the ball phased into my body, and I felt his presence inside of me, making me feel like a weight was being dropped on my shoulders, it was not unbearable but... just annoying and distracting. I grab my head, and I heard Vhorak´s deep voice inside my mind again.

"Just pretend that everything is normal, when Miraculous bearer comes" Vhorak ordered

"Are you in my mind?" I grunted

"Shut up and act normal Lady" Vhorak´s voice echoed in my mind like a painful jolt running through my head

At that moment, Cat Noir fell from a rooftop and looked around looking for someone, when he saw me. Cat Noir approached and his warried stare met mine.

"Are you okay?" Cat Noir asked

"Yeah, I´m okay" I answered

"I'm glad... and..." he looked at me with guilty eyes "I´m sorry that me and Ladybug left you hanging"

I shake my head as I feel my mouth making and involuntary smile as the terrible thing I was about to say...

"You should say that Ladybug and you..." I said with a somber tone "left me to fall?" I joked raising my head

Cat Noir´s slowly reacted to my poorly executed pun.

"You could work on your puns... they are... " He suggested

"A little... buggy?" I interrupted with another pun

Cat Noir chuckles.

"You are getting better by the second" he teased

"Hey, maybe that was a good pun in my universe..." I said

"Was it?" he asked

"No, not really" I admitted shaking my head

We both chuckle for a bit.

"Cat Noir, next time, try not to almost kill me... if it weren't for those magical ladybugs, I would be drowning in the middle of the English Channel" I said

"I'm sorry again" he apologised "But I guess you are not harmed, I guess"

"It still hurt" I muttered

His lips drew a guilty smile, and I felt the warmth of his hand on my shoulder. My eyes met his

"Don´t tell me that I´ll get used to it and that everything is okay" I predicted

He shook his head and took his hand away

"Okay, Okay, you are tough my multiversal friend, I get it" he said

I smiled and he got in position to use his staff to leave.

"Take care" he yelled before leavening

As he departed, I sigh in relief and Vhorak´s voice started echoing in my mind again.

"Well done getting rid of the holder of the Cat Miraculous" he noted

"Thanks?" I answered, "Are you... inside my mind?" I asked confused

"I´m inside your body to hide and I´m talking through your mindscape" Vhorak explained

"That sounds... invasive" I said

"It´s for your own good. Also, use your inner monologue to speak to me, there is no need to say anything out loud" he said

"Wait, you can read my mind???!!!" I yelled concerned

"Up to certain extent, but mostly no" he answered calmly

"Oh... okay" I sigh in relief

For a moment I relax, I felt the cold brick wall against my back and a subtle breeze blew my hair. I scratched my eyes and when I did that was that I realized that there was a bracelet in wrist. It was a thick silver bracelet, which had black engravings that formed some kind of chaotic rots or paths which all converged in a purple gem in the middle. The gem was encrusted in the bracelet and was neatly cut in a diamond shape and polished, making it seem like cristal. Its sight felt kind of hypnotic and I was just observing the strange bracelet, until Vhorak´s voice interrupted.

"That's your Miraculous, the Miraculous of..." He said in dramatic tone

However, before he could finish, he is interrupted by Adrien entering the alley.

"Luna! Are you okay?" Adrien pretends to worry as if he didn't check on me as Cat Noir

I pulled myself of the wall and I approached him

"I'm okay" I pretend to calm him down

"I´m sorry that I left you alone, I just ran when I saw the akumatized villain" he tried to make an excuse

"Yeah... I didn´t react as fast as you did, so I was caught in the crossfire hehe" I laugh nervously "But Ladybug and Cat Noir fixed everything so, I´m okay"

That's when Vhorak´s voice appeared in my mind again.

"First the Cat and now him" Vhorak complained

"Well, they are the same person, and I work for him so..." I thought to answer him

"Is him the holder of the Miraculous of the Cat?" Vhorak said unimpressed "We will talk when we are alone, okay lady?"

I nodded to Vhorak, forgetting that I was nodding to Adrien as well. Fortunately, Adrien nod back with a smile

"We should get back to your activities" I suggested

"Yeah, we should" Adrien agreed

We went back to work. I spent the day taking Adrien to his activities and helping him out. I felt heavier than usual throughout the day, like something was weighing me down. In the little spare time I had, I kept investigating this world and the miraculous. Until I stumbled onto a blog called the "Ladyblog", that was dedicated to Ladybug and the heroes of Paris, I scrolled down as it went in depth about what the Miraculous were. While I was going through the blog a new post was uploaded, it was titled "A mysterious new hero?"I opened it, and I saw a blurry picture of a woman with a black hero suit stomping into Faller. At that moment I realized, that was me... It was a blurry image and my face was unrecognizable, but it was definitely me. I was a little shocked, I thought it was a hallucination due to the lack of oxygen and almost dying but... between Vhorak and this picture, I came to the conclusion that the flash that was that memory, was real.

"I´m ready, we can head home" Adrien suddenly said as he sat next to me

I stay silent, thinking about that picture, Vhorak, everything.

"Luna? Luna" he called me out

I finally react "Yeah?" I asked

"I said that I'm done for today, we can go home... are you okay?" he asked concerned

"Oh, yeah, I was focused in studying this world" I excused myself

He smiles and shakes his head

"Hey don't do that, If I want to find a way back to my world, I need to know about this one... I guess" I tried to convince him

"Let's go, I need some rest" he yawned

"Me too..." I lied, I just wanted to be alone to talk with Vhorak, I had too many questions

Adrien and I returned to the Mansion, we said goodbye to each other and went to our rooms. I was finally alone, I fell to my bed, exhausted.

"Okay, Vhorak, we are alone, you can come out" I said at loud

Vhorak came out of my chest as a ball of dark mist and took his Kwami form again. He looked at me and made a faint smile.

"Alone at last lady, I already know your name, but I would not be polite for me to not ask" he said with his deep voice

"I´m Luna, nice to officially meet you Vhorak" I answered

"As I was explaining before we annoyingly interrupted" He said clearly pissed "I´m Kwami, a celestial creature, I, through the Miraculous, grant powers to whoever holds it" he explained

"So, every Miraculous comes with a little pet that grants their powers?" I asked

"Don't call me a pet!" He hissed angrily "Yes, every Miraculous has a Kwami that grants it´s holder a power, for example..." he continued "Plagg..." As he said that name, I noticed he seem furious by just saying it "is the Kwami of destruction and he gives Cat Noir his powers"

"The Kwami of destruction?" I asked trying to understand

"Yes, dear Luna, we Kwamis embody concepts, like migration, intuition or adoration" Vhorak answered

As he explained, I examined the bracelet, feeling the silver materials and the engraving with my fingers.

"But..." He made a dramatic pause

Vhorak suddenly became a dark mist again and started to change his appearance, getting bigger, almost like my size. The dark mist slowly shifted, making a humanoid shape and sitting next to me. My eyes opened wide as he finished shifting into a shadow version of me. He opened his deep purple predator eyes and looked at me with a penetrating stare, like he was looking at my soul. Then he smiled mischievously.

"But I'm not just a normal Kwami" He continued

I was taken aback by this new form he took, it was uncanny, the perfect resemblance, like looking into a dark mirror.

"Well... this... this is weird" I whisper shyly

He rolls his eyes and turns back to his Kwami form.

"As I said, I´m not just a normal Kwami, dear Luna" He said

"Wait, if all Kwamis are concepts, what concept are you?" I asked "Like... are you the Kwami of mist... shadows" I guessed

Vhorak chuckled, his laughter echoed painfully through my mind.

"Oh no, none of that... I am the Kwami of Chaos" He announced

Vhorak explained to me how the Miraculous worked. He explained that the "Bracelet of the void", that's how Vhorak called it, gave me the ability of creating constructs with some kind of shadows, but he didn't go in depth of what those shadows were. Also, he explained that, to activate the power of my Miraculous, and give me a superhero transformation, I needed to say the phrase "Darkness rises" and to end the transformation I needed to say "Darkness falls". He finished explaining that the use of the Miraculous gave me special superhuman abilities, more dexterity, strength, fighting knowledge, improved reflexes, all in addition to the shadow powers. 

"So, that explains how I fought Faller" I noted

"Mostly yes, Lady Luna" He answers, "You should try out the power of the Miraculous now that there is no danger, so you know what I'm talking about" He proposed

"I guess it wouldn't hurt anyone to try them out..." I said trying to appear that I wasn't dying to try them out

I looked at myself in the full body mirror of my room, I felt a certain excitement that I have never felt before, my heart was beating fast, and a silly smile was drawn on my face. I calmed myself down and took a deep breath.

"Here we go..." I said "Darkness rises" 

The moment I pronounced those words, the gem from my Miraculous glowed and Vhorak was absorbed into the bracelet. Suddenly, a black shadows started to expand through my body, creating a black bodysuit around it, making its way to my face and creating a mask. The black shadow then concentrated in my arms, creating sharp dark claws in my hands. A faint purple light flickered on my body suit and a purple pattern appeared in my waist, neckline and legs. My hair was magically tied up in a ponytail with one bang each side of my face. My hair was also magical dyed, making a fade from my hair color to purple and then to black. After that, my pupils changed to the ones of a predator, giving me animalistic eyes. To end my transformation, the shadows entered the Miraculous.

I admired my transformation in the mirror.

"Mmm, it kind of lacks layering..." I criticized out loud

"That can be change later Lady Luna, but before that, you should get used to the power I granted you" Vhorak's voice appeared in my head

"I will, but first a heroine name..." I said excited

I started pondering, taking in my superheroine suit and looking at the claws. I was between "Darkclaw" or "Darklette", but something didn't sound right. Until an idea popped into my mind.

"Darkclette" I pronounced

Vhorak stayed silent in my mind, maybe he didn't like the name. I looked at the window in my room and smirked.

"Okay, I'll stop goofing around Vhorak, let's try these powers" I said

I opened my window and jumped out. I was amazed by how far I reached with one jump.

"Wow, this is amazing" I said

I decided to start experimenting with my new powers, and I can't really explain how, but I pictured something in my mind and as soon as I did, the shadows exited my Miraculous and made that construct. First, I imagined a rope to balance myself to the rooftops. Then, I started creating things, like spheres, staffs or weapons.

My eyes were surprisingly set on the gorgeous Eiffel tower that shined brightly that night.

"Okay, let's put this power up to the test" I exclaimed with passion

I started running towards the Eiffel Tower, I felt the tiles in my feet, the air in my face and the excitement in my chest. I jumped from rooftop to rooftop, making shadow constructs to make it easy, a platform from where to jump, a rope to balance myself, a wall to make a wall run, everything was possible, it had an amazing potential.

I quickly arrived at the Eiffel Tower, I tried to create a rope to climb the tower... And there I realized that the potential had its limits. When I tried to make a rope long enough to reach the top, the shadows weren't long enough, I didn't have enough of them.

"Okay, so no big constructs, okay..." I said to myself

"Exactly Lady Luna, until you have... More chaos energy, your constructs are limited to the energy that is stored in the bracelet..." Vhorak explained 

"And How do I find more-" I was about to ask but I was interrupted

"Hey you! Turn around" Ladybug's voice yelled at me

I sigh, I felt slightly pissed out of nowhere. I turned around to see Ladybug spinning her Yo-yo with a penetrating stare.

"Who are you?" She asked with a serious tone in her voice

"I'm not an enemy, if that's what you are asking" I said

Her eyes scanned me, making me feel a cold chill cursing through my spine. Her eyes stopped at my bracelet.

"I see you have Miraculous" she said

"Yes, the Miraculous of-" I was about to explain but she cuts me off

"You need to give it to me" she ordered

The smile on my face disappeared.

"What?" I asked in serious tone

"I'm the guardian of the Miraculous, I decide who is trustworthy of Miraculous, give it to me" she ordered, giving a step forward

"I am not trustworthy?" I teased

Before she could answer Cat Noir fell from the sky next to her.

"Hello, my Lady" Cat Noir said to Ladybug and then his attention was turned to me "So you are the one that helped us today" 

"Indeed" I answered, as I kept an eye on Ladybug's movements

"Who entrusted your Miraculous to you?" Ladybug asked me

"I don't know... Destiny, I found it" I answered

Cat Noir started looking at me suspiciously too.

"You just found it..." Ladybug questioned, getting closer

"Yeah, I did..." I said as I was starting to get pissed by her questions

"Just when the Villain didn't have a Sentimonster to accompanied him" Cat Noir suspiciously pointed out

"What? Did Shadow Moth create you to infiltrate our superhero team?" Ladybug accused me

I raise an eyebrow in disbelief. They were both getting closer to me, trying to go around me.

"If you are really a person that just found the Miraculous, you should give it to us" Cat Noir suggested

"Why is that?" I inquired

"So, we can talk and see who you are and your true intentions, also it's dangerous to have a Miraculous, Shadow Moth may attack you" Ladybug explained

Both of them took a step closer to me, I was definitely surrounded by them. I was about to give in, there was no need to have a secret identity, if I didn't know anyone here, but Vhorak talked to me.

"Don't give up your Miraculous" Vhorak ordered, feeling his voice echoed in my mind, it hurt a little 

"Please, give us the Miraculous and we can talk" Cat Noir said

"Will you give it back? Will you detransform with me?" I asked

"No" Ladybug exclaimed "We are the heroes of Paris; our identities are a secret so Shadow Moth won't take our Miraculous" she explained

"You will have to trust me then... Since, I'm not giving you my Miraculous, I'm sorry, guardian or not" I said defyingly

Cat Noir and Ladybug looked at each other and then pounced at me. Ladybug threw her Yo-yo, trying to tie me with it, I jumped and dodge it. But Cat Noir run towards me to grab my bracelet, I thought of dodging but he was to close, so I used the shadows to create a small wall.

"Wait, I promise, I'm not your enemy!" I yelled

Both of them looked at me.

"Maybe we should listen to them" Cat Noir suggested

"No, remember when Mayura made my clone, this could be the case... And also, we cannot trust someone we don't know with a Miraculous" Ladybug said

"But Ladybug you don't kw-" said Cat Noir but was interrupted by Ladybug jumping into action

Ladybug ran towards me and kicked me, I was launched back. Before I could recover, she started throwing her yo-yo at me.

"What are you doing? Fight the Ladybug and the Cat" Vhorak's voiced said

In that moment, my whole body felt tense, a growl escaped my mouth, and I felt the anger boiling up inside of me.

Ladybug tried to hit me again with this yo-yo, but this time, I grabbed the cord. I smirked and threw her in the air. That's when Cat Noir reacted and started attacking me too, even though I tried to avoid his staff, he landed a lot of punches. I didn't want to hurt Adrien, but that resolve ended when he landed a punch on my face.

I landed on the floor

"Surrender" Cat Noir ordered

"What no fucking pun now?" I shouted with anger

I got up as fast as I could, I created my own staff with shadows and started attacking Cat Noir. He defended quickly and skillfully, those fencing classes that Adrien took, were coming in handy. But I saw an opening, and I landed a punch in his staff that disarmed him. He looked at me surprised and smiled shyly, I smiled back mischievously and made a shadow that grabbed him by his feet and threw him to the air with Ladybug.

Both got up

"Okay! Enough!" I yelled "I'm not here to fight you!" 

"Then give us your Miraculous" Ladybug ordered 

I shake my head in frustration, how could these two be so infuriating.

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug shouted 

"Cataclysm" Cat Noir yelled

Both of them started to run towards me again. I knew what the Cataclysm could do, I couldn't risk being touched and I clearly could not keep up a fight with both at the same time.

I clenched my jaw in an unconscious anger and decided to flee. I extended my shadow staff and, like Cat Noir, extended it, reaching the nearby rooftops. I started running desperately. They followed me closely, trying to catch me. I tried to lose them by making constructs to aid in my parkour through the roofs. But with no avail, they effortlessly followed.

Out of nowhere, Ladybug's yo-yo trapped my leg, making me fall into an alley.

"Fuck" I groaned in pain

Ladybug and Cat Noir fell into the Alley. It was a dead end; I had no escape. I got up slowly and made a staff with my shadows again and got in a sort of fighting position.

"Last chance" Ladybug threatened

I was about to go full on brawl with the two of them. But then Vhorak's voice came to me.

"You cannot let them take me, you can escape" Vhorak said

"How?" I think so Vhorak can hear me

"You have done it before, you can transform your body into chaos energy for a couple of seconds and escape through them" Vhorak explained 

"You mean the dash?" I asked in my mind

"Exactly, now you need to concentrate" He said

I tried to concentrate, to transform my body into shadows and go away. But I couldn't, I've done it before but out of instinct.

"Breath, dear Luna" Vhorak said, his deep voice becoming more soothing

I feel as if he was holding my hand, guiding me to do it. I breathe as he ordered.

"Lock into my voice, let yourself go" He continued "Imagine yourself on the other side of those two..."

I took a deep breath and tried to dash. But as soon as I took a step forward, Ladybug threw her yo-yo and tangled my legs, making me fall into the ground. My head was bashed against the floor, making me lightheaded.

"Stop doubting yourself dear, everyone... everything is made out of Chaos... Your power is to use it, to embrace that energy and manipulate it" he reassured

"I... I can't" I mumble 

"Yes you can!" Vhorak's voice became more authoritative

Ladybug and Cat Noir walked up to me. Ladybug kneel go grab my Miraculous.

"No, no" I plead to them

But when her hand was mere centimeters away from taking my Miraculous, I felt as if Vhorak's presence engulfed me, like he was grabbing me by my wrists, pulling me forward forcefully.

All of the sudden, I dashed. My body became shadows and then travelled behind Ladybug and Cat Noir. I was a shadow just for a couple of seconds, my head was still spinning, but my body moved by instinct. I started running, feeling like my legs were pushed forward by something. 

Luckily, the two heroes of Paris didn't expect the dash, so I lost them. I sat down on a secluded rooftop for a couple of minutes, gathering my thoughts and waiting out Ladybug and Cat Noir. My head hurt but it slowly recovered. 

Once I thought it was safe, I returned to the Mansion. I got in through the same window that I left open.

"Darkness falls" I said detransfroming

I felt exhausted like all my energy was drained out of me. I sat down on the bed and Vhorak came out of my body.

"Vhorak... Thanks..." I said almost falling asleep

"You are welcome, Lady Luna" he answers

"Why did Adrien-" I was about to ask but Vhorak interrupted me

"Dear Luna, go to sleep" he said with his soothing tone

I was about to keep the conversation going, but I just fell to the bed. I laid down in a comfortable position and, without even putting a blanket over my body, I fell asleep.

The last thing I heard was Vhorak saying something that I did not understand as I drifted into my slumber.

Chapter Text

Darkness, water, stars... The last thing I did was falling asleep, where I was or why I was there was, escaped my knowledge. I was laying down on the floor covered in water, the sky above me was shining with stars and I felt at ease. I tried to get up, but I was too tired, it was as if my body weighed a ton. After a few seconds of just looking at the starry sky, I raised my hand, trying to reach for the sky. That when something, a dark shadow like the ones I use with my Miraculous, took me by the wrist and gently pulled me up.

I finally woke up, opening my eyes. I was dazed for a couple of seconds, until I heard the alarm.

"It's morning already?" I muttered

My body was still exhausted, I took a deep breath and got up. I groan as I do, feeling every muscle in my tensing with the slight movement. I took a silent shower, trying not to fall asleep again. Once I finished my morning routine, I went downstairs. It was still early for anyone to have woken up and I was starving. I helped myself to the kitchen again and cooked some pancakes. Originally, I was only going to make some for myself only, but when I saw that Gabriel´s study was open, I thought it would be a nice thing to do, making pancakes for everyone. I prepared some trays with the pancakes, some cut fruit and some Nutella and coffee Ganache, and I left the tray in Gabriel´s study. Once inside, I was, again, distracted by the large painting behind Gabriel´s workstation. There was something mysterious surrounding that painting, but I could not put my finger in what it was. Either way, I left the tray on the table with a sticky note saying that I appreciate the job and that I will do my best. 

After that, I went to give Nathalie her breakfast, but I didn't want to disturb her, since she was probably sleeping. I was lowering the tray down on the floor when I heard Nathalie coughing from inside the room. I was worried, so I knocked on the door.

"Come in" I heard Nathalie said through the door

I opened the door and peaked my head through.

"Are you okay, Miss Nathalie?" I asked concerned

"Oh, it's you. Yes, I´m okay" She answered

"Do you want some breakfast?" I asked 

She nodded and I entered the dimly lit room and left the tray on her nightstand.

"As I told you yesterday, you don´t -" She starts to say but I interrupted her

"I know, I don't need to make breakfast, but I made for myself, and I would have felt bad if I didn't make for everyone" I explained "So, please take it. Also, do you need anything? Medicine? or a tea? I don´t know a lot about the medical properties of tea... but I could make you some..." I suggested 

"That's kind of you-" She suddenly coughs "I´m okay, thanks for the breakfast"

"I hope you like it" I said as I start to leave

"One thing, I looked at your performance yesterday... taking into consideration that you were attacked by an Akumatized Villain... you did well" she noted

I smile shyly "Thanks, I hope I can keep it up" I expressed

"You will" she said with a shy smile

I nod and leave. I went down to grab the other tray from the Kitchen and there was Adrien already up. I swallowed, as I felt a little uncomfortable because he was beating me up as Cat Noir.

"I see you are up" I finally said

Adrien was already starting to eat the pancakes I had made

"Wow, this are so good..." He complimented them

"I'm glad you like them" I pronounced shyly as I sat in front of him and started eating too "So... No hard feelings then?" I asked

"No hard feelings? Why? Did I do something? Are you mad about me leaving you yesterday with the villain?" He inquired confused

That's when I realized that he didn´t know that I was the Miraculous holder that Cat Noir and Ladybug fought the night before. I started to ponder, how could not he know, it was obvious to me that he was Cat Noir. I didn't understand but maybe Vhorak had the answer. I shook my head to Adrien.

"No, sorry, I meant, if there were hard bits in the pancakes, sometimes I ruin the batter" I lied

"No, it's perfect, Thanks Luna" He said

I smiled and ate too. We started talking about his schedule and the plans for today. Adrien seemed happier as Cat Noir, but that smile and excitement returned whenever he talked about his friends or classes or playing the piano with his friends... It was endearing. I just listened as he talked, while I ate, it wasn´t really a conversation, but it was entertaining. He was really excited today since he had band practice with his friends in a band called: Kitty Section. We finished eating and we went back to our room to prepare for our day. However, before anything else, I had some questions for Vhorak.

"Hey, Vhorak. Are you there?" I asked inside my mind

"Yes dear, I´m here" Vhorak answer me in my mind

"Why didn't Adrien recognise me? Does he don´t know that I´m Darkclette?" I inquired "The masks don´t really conceal your identity that well"

"The Miraculous have a magic that makes people not recognise the holders" He explained

"Then, why do I recognise that Adrein is Cat Noir by just looking at him?" I asked confused

"Wait Lady Luna, you knew Cat Noir's identity from the beginning? You didn't discover it? He asked interested

"No, when I saw Cat Noir and then I saw Adrien, I just knew that they were the same person" I said

"That's interesting lady Luna... That's interesting..." he pointed out "Maybe... somehow that magic doesn't affect you..." He guessed

"Maybe... that´s has to do with the fact that...I'm from another universe..." I suggested

Vhorak stayed silent for a couple of seconds, almost shocked by what I said.

"Since in my universe there are no Miraculous, as far as I know, that magic doesn't work on me" I continued

"That certainly a possibility, I haven't heard of it before, but it may be possible" he agreed

While we talked, I dressed and I got ready for work. We kept talking for a moment with Vhorak, I explained how I got there and that in my world the Miraculous didn't exist.

I finally came downstairs. Adrien was already waiting for me.

"That Breakfast really brighten an already amazing day, thanks Luna" He commented

"Don't exaggerate, those pancakes would never be up to par to what you chef can cook" I answer while we walk to the car

"It doesn't matter, I appreciated them and guess my father too, he went into the kitchen when you were giving Nathalie her Breakfast and wanted to talk with you" he said

"You really think he wanted to praise my pancakes?" I asked with a certain irony in my voice

"mmmm" He started to think

"that's what I thought" I sighed "I´ll talk to him after work"

Adrien gave me a shy smile and shrug, I lowered my head and started going through the tablet again, all the things I had to do today.

It was a long day, but not as tightly packed as the day before. I spent my day helping Adrien, mostly keeping him on schedule, among other things. However, before I knew it, the afternoon arrived, and we were driven to where Adrien did band practice. We both exited the car and were greeted by the Seine riverside, illuminated by the orange tint of the afternoon sun. I look on my tablet a little confused, not sure if this was the right address.

"Is it here?" I asked Adrien

"Right there" He answered pointing to a boat

"Of course, your band practice is in a boat" I giggled

He started walking towards the boat and I followed him. However, we suddenly heard someone screaming behind us, but before I could even react I was on the floor.

A girl had fallen on top of me. I groan in pain, as she gets up from top of me.

"I'm so sorry, I'm such a klutz" the girl apologised

"Oh, it's okay, I'm okay" I said

She got up and offered me her hand to help me get up, I accepted, and I was back on my feet.

"Thanks" I said scraping my knees

As I lifted my gaze, I saw a girl with black hair styled in two pigtails. She looked at me worried with her bluebell eyes. I didn't react for a second, until I realised who I was seeing, that girl was Ladybug.

Adrien laughed "Marinette, meet my new assistant, Luna" he presented me "Luna, this my friend, Marinette"

"Nice meeting you Luna" Marinette said cheer

I finally reacted, shaking my head a little.

"Nice meeting you too, Marinette" I responded

We shook hands and she turned to Adrien.

"Are you okay Marinette?" Adrien asked

"Of course I am, you are amazing... I mean I´m amazingly well... but it's not that you are amazing but that..." Marinette starts to mumble

As I saw Marinette mumbling incoherently, I came to a realization. The way Marinette was looking at Adrien, the way that she was talking to him, the mumbling... She was in love. I felt as I, unconsciously, smiled as I realized that Ladybug/Marinette was in love with Adrien, who was in fact, Cat Noir.

"Oh, this is going to be my romance drama from now on..." I thought.

Adrien was just smiling as Marinette kept mumbling, this scene made me question why I was so angry at them last night, why I was so pissed last night, even before they attacked me.

We started walking towards the boat and, after a lot of endearing awkwardness from Marinette trying to talk to Adrien, she turned to me.

"Luna, I haven't seen you around, are you from around Paris?" She asked

I knew she was trying to be normal, but it felt like a trick question. I didn´t know if she expected me to tell the truth or to lie.

"Well, I´m not from around here that for sure hehe" I chuckle "I just moved to Paris"

"And how are you finding it so far?" She asked

"Well, everything has been nice so far... I guess" I answer

"She has been buried in work since she arrived" Adrien added

"Really? How did you get a job as Adrien´s assistant? I can´t believe the Gabriel Agreste would hire other than Nathalie to assist Adrien" she said

"I don't know either..." I responded

"I guess father saw something in her" he guessed

I shrug "I don't know if he did, but I´m just glad that he gave me a job" I said

"Yeah, she has been really... diligent?" Adrien tried to add

"Really? That's the best you got?" I teased him

"Hey, you have only worked for me two days, I don't have lot to say" he excused himself

I roll my eyes, and we talk a little more. Until our conversation was interrupted by a sweet, calm and comforting voice.

"Are you guys okay?" the comforting voice asked

I looked and in the entrance to the boat there was a man looking at us. He was leaning against a post from the boat, his luminous cyan eyes stared at as calmly, his messy layered silky black hair with cyan dyed tips was slightly blown by the breeze, his expression calmed and melodic like if what he was about to say would be most profound and insightful thing you will ever hear and his pale rosy lips drew a gentle smile. The aura that the man projected was really calming, as if nothing in the world could disturb his peace.

"I saw that you fell, are you two, okay?" The man asked gently

"Oh, Luka! Yes, I´m okay, thanks for asking" Marinette answered

Luka´s gaze turned to me

"Are you okay?" Luka asked

For a moment, I didn't answer, until I finally reacted.

"Oh, Yeah, of course, it was just a small fall" I answered

"She is my new assistant. Luka, meet Luna" Adrien presented me to him

"Nice meeting you Luka!" I said as I extended my hand to shake it

"It's a pleasure to meet you Luna" Luka said reciprocating the handshake

Luka looked me up and down.

"Luna, you scraped your knee..." Luka pointed out

I looked down and I had scraped my knee, it was just a scratch but there was some blood coming out.

"I´m so sorry Luna, I didn't mean to hurt you" Marinette apologized

"It was an accident, it doesn't even hurt" I responded

"I´ll get some band aids and disinfectant" Luka said going inside the boat

"It's not really necessary" I said

Luka just ignored me and went to look for the first aid kit anyway. I sighed as I sat down in a nearby stall and took a moment to look around. The boat seemed to be a home, it was really colorful and vibrant, filled with decorations, it even had a stage where I supposed they would play with their band. Luka came from below deck with a first aid kit and sat next to me.

"May I?" Luka asked politely

I sigh and cross my legs, so my knee was a little higher so he could reach it with ease.

"Thanks..." I mutter

"Don't mention it" Luka said as he slowly takes out some disinfectant and band aids

I shifted my gaze to Marinette and Adrien, they were setting up Adrien´s keyboard on the stage. Marinette and Adrien were laughing, smiling and just having a good time, even if Marinette was a little too clumsy and incoherent.

"This may sting a bit" Luka pointed out as he started to clean my wound

"They are madly in love, aren't they?" I commented

"They are, but one of them doesn't know it" he added

My eyes drift to Luka again.

"Are they blind? Do they have some kind of br- ..." I trailed off, interrupting myself because I knew that the show I was making reference didn't even exist in this world

"A lot of people say love is blind" he said

"Yeah, but this is equivalent to not having senses" I joked

He chuckles

"I mean, I just met Marinette, and I´ve known Adrien for almost two days at most... It's so obvious" I said dumbfounded

"Weren't you ever blind to love?" he asked

I shift my gaze to one side "I´m not going to answer that" 

Luka carefully cleaned my wound, making sure he was gentle and avoided hurting me even more.

"There we go" he said putting a band aid on

I got up from the chair.

"Again, thank you Luka" I insisted

"Didn't I say not to mention it" He joked "You are welcome, Luna"

Adrien comes back from setting up his keyboard.

"All ready, we just need to wait for the others" Adrien mentioned

Suddenly, I felt a jolt of pain that travelled from my wrist to my head. I felt my head throbbing, my vision turned black for a second and I almost collapsed. Luckily, Luka caught me before I could fall. I quickly stand by myself again, Luka and Adrien looking at me concerned.

"Sorry, I guess I shouldn't have skipped lunch" I lied

They both seem to believe me because Luka just went to check if everything was set alright at the stage. I looked at Adrien and I approached him.

"Adrien... You don´t really need a chaperone? you are an adult, and I see that..." I set my eyes on Marinette and then on him "you are with good friends" I giggled "So, I´ll pick you up in a couple of hours, okay?" I offered

"Wait, you are leaving?" Adrien asked

"I don't want to intrude, these are your friends, I don't really want to bother" I explained "Besides, Music... is not really my thing... like at all"

"You can stay if you want, you won´t intrude" Adrien insisted

"Won´t I?" I asked with irony "But I could use the time explore Paris and get something to eat"

"Okay Luna" he gave in

I nod and go towards the exit.

"Bye everyone! Nice meeting you all! Adrien, I´ll be back in a couple of hours" I yelled as I left

I walked through the streets of Paris, the headache persisted as I walked and the hustle and bustle of Paris did not help either. I roamed around aimlessly, until I found a coffee shop.

"I could really use a coffee... and a cookie" I mutter to myself

I went inside the coffee shop, it was quite quaint and cozy. I heard the tapping of my shoes as I walked on the wooden floor and the ambient jazz music soothed my ears. The coffee shop was not empty, but it was clearly not rush hour. When I approached the counter, the barista smiled at me and asked me what I wanted. Back home, I used to order a vanilla macchiato. I´ve always liked sweet things and I wanted something sweet that could remind me of home. I ordered it, but when I reached the jacket´s pocket, I realized that I didn't actually have any money.

"Of course, I´m not from this world... I don't even have a cell phone or cards or money or even an iden-" I thought

The barista interrupted my thoughts asking me how I would pay. I smiled shyly and cancelled the order. I was about to leave when...

"I'll pay for that and add a chai" a smooth silken voice suddenly said

I turned around and my gaze was set on a woman with white and really long silky hair. Her skin was soft and really pale, which contrasted a lot with her mostly black attire. She had an eerie look on her face, her silver eyes stared at mine. It felt like she was invading my very being, looking directly into my soul, into my mind... I felt as my head throbbed harder, it hurt so much that I felt that I could fall to the ground. She took the coffees from the counter, without even looking at them. Her footsteps echoed in my ears as a rumbling, as she started to walk towards me. She extended the cup of coffee for me to grab.

"There you go..." She breathily pronounced

I reached out to grab it and, for only a moment, our fingers touched, and I could feel as a shock of electricity went through my body. Suddenly, an image popped in my mind from just a moment, it looked like some kind of sigil or symbol. At that moment, I felt the pain in my head completely fade, and I heard how Vhorak grunted in pain inside my mind.

"I will see you soon, puppet" the woman whispered

Before I could react, she was gone. I even left the coffee shop and looked around in the street but she was nowhere to be found. I ran around looking for this mysterious woman, until I lost my breath and sat on a park bench.

"What the f-" I breathed deeply trying to calm down "What was that Vhorak?" I asked confused and pissed

Vhorak stayed silent for a couple of minutes, until his voice finally echoed in my mind.

"She..." He started talking but trailed off "I don't really know what happened" Vhorak said in somber tone

"You don't?" I insisted

"I don´t ... dear Luna, I don´t" he answered

I shake my head and start drinking my coffee.

"At least she bought us a coffee" I mutter pissed

Dusk had arrived, the orange sky was fading into black. I calmed down from everything that happened. For a slight moment in these last few days, my mind was at ease. The vanilla of the coffee soothed my heart, making this longing from home slightly less... daunting. There had been only two days, and I was already missing home. When night finally arrived, I got up, knowing that I had to go and pick up Adrien, and started walking back.

But suddenly, when I was walking back, a slight tremor made me lean against a wall. I looked up and saw Ladybug and Cat Noir jumping on the roofs.

"Shouldn´t you be practicing Adrien?" I asked ironically

I glanced at my Miraculous

"Maybe it's a chance to prove that I'm trustworthy..." I thought

"And an opportunity to try your powers with a real opponent that you don't have to hold back with" Vhorak suggested

"I was holding back?" I asked

"Yes, you were" He persisted

"If you say so Vhorak..." I said as I went into and alley

I looked around, making sure there was no one there.

"Okay, Vhorak, Darkness rises!" I enthusiastically said

I transformed, used the shadows to go to the roof and started running towards the direction of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Chapter Text

I transformed into my heroine form and started jumping through the roofs, following Ladybug and Cat Noir. I started running towards the danger, unlike before, I felt accelerated and excited. I finally stopped running through the rooftops and stood on a vantage point. I looked around trying to find Paris Heroes and out of nowhere multiple bolt of lightning were shot from a nearby roof. I glanced in that direction and saw a man standing on the top of a roof.

“Ladybug and Cat Noir! Where are you?!!” The man shouted

From his green skin, which had a black circuit pattern, lighting emerged and went directly to cars, antennas or any technological device. Once the lightning touched the technological devices, the man touched the goggles in the top of his head and, suddenly, the machines transformed into robots.

“Come out Ladybug and Cat Noir! An feel the wrath of me, Evilgeneer” He announced loudly

The robots surrounded him like a well trained army protecting its general.

“Do every akumatized villain have a thing for theatrics?” I asked to myself

That's when Ladybug and Cat Noir appeared, they started to dodge the robots going for the akumatized villain.

“Oh, those idiots… they are going head on against and army” I said irritated for some reason “I guess, it's my cue to give them some backup”

I slided down the vantage point to the rooftops base and went in their direction. Meanwhile, Cat Noir and Ladybug were slowly surrounded by robots and in an attempt to get to Evilgeneer, they got separated. Cat Noir was getting pinned down by some of the robots, he was punching and dodging as well as he could.

“You are done, Cat Noir! Evolution Army take his Miraculous!” Evilgeneer ordered to his army

I jumped to the rooftop where Cat Noir was trapped.

“Well, I don't think so” I shouted as I was in the air

I landed next to Cat Noir, who was about to receive multiple robot punches, and created a wall with the shadows to protect him.

“Need a paw?” I said smugly to Cat Noir

“Now you are the one making puns?” Cat Noir asked sarcastically

I shrugged with a confident smile and started helping him fight back. I was fighting instinctively, but as more thundering noises were heard by all Paris, more robots were added to Evilgeneer's army. I fought instinctively against the robots, using my new abilities and shadows, but we were being cornered up by the robots.

“We can't keep this up” Cat Noir muttered

“Yeah, we certainly can't” I said back

I looked for an opening, thinking about getting to Evilgeneer and destroying the root of our problem before we got overwhelmed. But to no avail, the robots kept coming and coming. If we didn't do anything, we would lose.

“Can you cover me?” Cat Noir asked me

“Kinda…” I answered

“Purrfect” He responded

I rolled my eyes annoyed thinking that that was hardly the time to make a pun.

“Now” Cat Noir announced

I made a hoop of shadows around us and expanded it to create some distance between us and the robots. Suddenly, Cat Noir grabbed me by my waist and extended his staff to escape. As we were flying out of the waves of robots, I saw Ladybug being overwhelmed and I quickly dismissed my hoop, created a shadow rope and pulled her out. When I did, I heard, for just a moment, Vhorak grunting and my head suddenly hurt for a second.

The three of us landed on a nearby rooftop. I quickly took Cat Noir's hand off my waist.

“Do not grab me by my waist” I hissed weirdly angry at Cat Noir

“Oh, Sorry, I didn't mean…” He apologised confused

“Ughj, its okay” I said still a little angry

I couldn't understand why I was so angry. It was a life or death situation, I shouldn't have been this pissed. But I had just snapped at Adrien because he grabbed my waist, something that I didn't usually care about…

But my confused thoughts were interrupted when Ladybug's eyes met mine.

“You…” Ladybug muttered suspiciously

“A thanks would be nice, after I saved you” I suggested aggressively

Her eyes were filled with mistrust, but she took a deep breath, calming herself down and that mistrust disappeared.

“I'm sorry, thanks for the save and… sorry for overreacting yesterday” she apologised

I took a deep breath too and tried to calm myself as well.

“It's okay, it's all water under the bridge… I guess” I accepted her apology “So… what's the plan?” I asked, looking at the wave of robots coming in our direction.

Cat Noir put his staff on his shoulders, in a cocky pose, and Ladybug put her hand on her chin, clearly thinking. I analyze the situation too, looking for a way to get close enough to destroy the akumatized object that was clearly on the goggles. The rumbling sound of the robots marching towards us was unnerving, we were running out of time. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head.

“We need get him away from his army” Ladybug and I announced at the same time

We exchanged an acknowledging look, but before we could devise a plan, the robots arrived at the rooftop where we were standing. I went into action, I was determined to get Evilgeneer away from his army. I made a slide with my shadows, getting away from the robots. I was feeling confident, adrenaline going through my veins.

“Okay Vhorak, let's test this power without restrictions” I thought

I quickly started making my way to Evilgeneer, gaining height by making shadow floors beneath my feet.

“Wait! We need a plan!” Ladybug shouted

“We don't have time!” I shouted back

I was really focused on creating the shadows beneath me, I needed to dismiss the used one and create a new one for the next step, since I didn't have enough shadows. Once I was above him, I created a shadow and threw it at him, grabbing his arm. Before he could react, I pulled him up in the air and, with a smirk, I was about to kick him far away from his army.

Time seemed to freeze for a second and I saw Evilgeneer's smile, like he was laughing at my inexperience and boldness. He rapidly shot lighting to his back, tackling me in the air and propulsing us in the opposite direction from Cat Noir and Ladybug.

We flew for a couple of seconds until I could escape from his grasp. My whole body was slammed against the floor and rolled until I was stopped by the luxor obelisk. I grunted in pain as I got up. Evilgeneer was getting up too and he looked at me.

“You are not Ladybug or Cat Noir, but If you are so eager, I'll take your Miraculous too” Evillgeneer yelled

He ran towards me and tried to punch me, I was still dazed by the fall, but I could, luckily, dodge. I was backing away from him, until my back was against the obelisk. When my back touched the obelisk, I felt something I couldn't quite describe, like a tingling sensation all around my body. However, that distraction gave Evilgeneer the opportunity to connect a punch to my stomach, making me lose my breath.

“I think you need to update your protections” He mocked me

I raised my hand to protect my face, but his punches kept coming. I couldn't dodge and I couldn't escape, I was back against the wall. My frustration, my desperation was rising up. I desperately tried to dash behind him, like I did yesterday with Ladybug and Cat Noir, but I failed and just ran towards him. He backed away, dodging my unplanned tackle. My breath was getting faster and faster as I recovered from the beating I had been receiving.

“What? Is your battery running low?” He taunted me “I can fix that”

The akumatized villain raised his hand and he started shooting lightnings at me. I used my shadows to block them, but he kept going, throwing multiple lightnings in my direction. As I blocked, I realised something, while he was shooting he couldn't move. I smirked as I knew what to do.

With a second wind, I dismissed my shadows and started running circles around him. He could barely keep up and his lighting ray was missing me. While I did that, I saw Cat Noir and Ladybug approaching and so did the supervillain. A small opportunity window was set right in front of me, so I took it. With fury I got near him and started slashing him with my claws. He tried to defend my attacks but I was relentless.

“You know, I really fucking hate when people mock me!” I shouted furiously while I attacked “And your puns are really annoying!”

As I said that, I slashed the strap of his goggles, cutting it. I then kicked Evilgeneer far away, taking the goggles.

“Now Kitty cat” I shouted as I threw the goggles to Cat Noir

“Cataclysm!” Cat Noir yelled and activated his power

Cat Noir touched the goggles, destroying them and freeing the Akuma. I took a deep breath and blew some hair out of my face as Ladybug purified the Akuma. However, my attention was drawn to the obelisk, I couldn't shake that feeling off, I felt pulled towards it.

“So… does the shadow lady have a name?” Cat Noir asked

“Uh…” I stuttered “I'm-” I stopped myself before I could say my real name “My hero name is Darkclette” I answer

“Nice meeting you Darkclette” Cat Noir said grabbing my hand and giving it a kiss

“Well is nice to meet you too Cat Noir” I said doing a little curtsey

“Oh no, there are two of them…” Ladybug whispered and stretched her eyes in frustration

Cat Noir and I smiled at each other, letting out a short giggle. She shook her head and finally smiled.

“You seem in a good mood after being punched that hard… are you okay?” Ladybug asked me

“You two made it seem easy on all the videos, I'm still new to this heroine thing” I said

“It's not as easy as it looks, not everyone can be as amazing as we are” Cat Noir said as he flexed his muscles

I rolled my eyes smiling and looked at Ladybug.

“Next time, I'll follow the plan” I promised

“Good, you were really reckless and I already have some pea brain to take care of…” She trailed of as she looked at Cat Noir

Cat Noir pretended to be offended for a second. But then, Ladybug's smile disappeared.

“Darkclette, if I may ask, which one is your Miraculous?” Ladybug asked in serious tone

“My Miraculous is the Miraculous of…” I was about to answer but Vhorak suddenly interrupted me in my mind

“Don't tell them” He ordered sternly

“Well… you know my miraculous… is one of the…” I started trailing off

I asked Vhorak what to say and as he started concocting a lie, Cat Noir's and Ladybug's Miraculous started beeping.

“We are about to detransform, this conversation is not over” Ladybug said using her yoyo to fly away

“Bye Darkclette!” Cat Noir said as he went in a different direction.

I sighed in relief since I was saved by, almost literally, a bell. But then my gaze fell upon the obelisk again, I took a few steps towards it, each step felt like they were carrying tons of weight, I extended my hand to touch the obelisk. However, just centimeters away from touching it, I remembered that I needed to pick up Adrien. I was pulling my hand away, but it felt almost like someone was stopping me from moving it. I shook my head and lowered my hand forcefully.

“Wait!” Vhorak's voice echoed painfully in my mind

I took a step back, almost falling.

“What Vhorak?” I voiced in my mind “Did something happen?”

For a moment Vhorak stood silent, until his voice echoed in my mind again.

“No…” He grunted “Nothing, dear” he continued calmly

I used my constructs to go back near Luka's house and hide myself to detransform.

“Darkness falls” I pronounced and detransformed

As soon as my suit came off, a wave of exhaustion crashed into my body, my eyelids felt heavy and my muscles were hurting slightly. But, despite my exhausted body and mind, I walked back to Luka's house.

After walking for a couple of minutes, I arrived. My gaze drifted around the boat, looking for Adrien, but he was nowhere to be found. I was at the edge of the river, just a step back from the little bridge that let me in on the boat.

“Really Adrien? I left after you, how is it that you haven't returned yet?” I thought

I kept looking around, until my eyes met Luka's. He was talking with some of the other people on the boat, near the stage, his piercing cyan eyes looked at me and I had to avoid his gaze, so I didn't get him or me uncomfortable.

I sighed and took my table out, maybe I could send a message to Adrien to hurry up or something. But, unfortunately, the tablet had no phone or message app. I wasn't going to send him an email, even if I had his address.

“I should really get a phone” I whisper to myself

I lifted my head to see if Adrien had arrived and I saw Luka in front of me.

“Are you looking for Adrien? He is in the bathroom, I'm sure he will come out soon enough” Luka said to me

“Oh, yeah, I'll wait for him. Thanks Luka” I answered

“Did you find something to eat?” He asked gently “You still look really tired”

“Oh, that… well… I was about to get a cookie but I didn't actually have any money” I giggled “But… someone did buy me a coffee… so it's not that bad…”

“You are starving, aren't you?” He pronounced with his tender voice

“Yes, I am…” I admitted shyly

A gentle smile was drawn on Luka's face and he started walking back to the boat. I stayed there waiting for Adrien, but Luka turned around.

“Aren't you coming? We bought some things to eat while we practice, you can have some” he suggested

I smiled at him, appreciating the idea.

“Didn't you notice how pale I am? I'm clearly a vampire, I need to be formally invited into a home” I joked, hoping that the vampires in this world and media had similar rules than in mine

Luka chuckled, covering his mouth with his hand. That was a relief, at least some things didn't change, even between universes.

“I would be honored to receive you as a guest in my home” He joked too

I giggled and took a step inside. I walked nervously as we crossed the little bridge that connected the shore to the boat. Once inside, every member of the band and guests stared at me, I swallowed nervously, made a shy smile and then averted their eyes.

“You look even paler than before…” Luka tendery observed “Let me grab you something for the road, Adrien is coming down the stairs”

Before I could tell him that I was okay and that it was not necessary, he left. As I turned my head, I saw Adrien coming down the stairs, filled with energy, as if using the miraculous didn't affect him at all.

“Are you ready to go? I only have…” I checked my tablet “fifteen minutes to bring you home” I said to Adrien.

“Yes Luna, I'm ready to go” Adrien answer

We start walking to the exit and Luka stops me.

“Don't forget about this…” Luka's calmed voice reached my ears “you said you wanted a cookie”

He hands me a little baggie with some cookies, his fingers brush mine as he does. Even Though, it was a gentle, quick graze, I felt the warmth of his touch in my hand.

“You didn't have to…” I trailed off

“It's not much, enjoy them” He answered me

I grabbed the baggie and I smiled at him.

“Thank you Luka” I said

Adrien and I left waving at everyone. We made our way back to the car, the chocolate and sugary taste and the crunchy texture of the cookie invaded my mouth. That and Adrien talking about the practice and how excited he was, made the ride back quite fun and relaxing, even though my mouth didn't move the whole trip. The light of the street flashed my eyes slightly, the soothing bumping of the car, Adrien's excited but calmed voice and the comfortable seat, made my already tired body relax even more. My eyelids started weighing a ton and my thoughts started to scatter, and I slowly fell asleep.

My slumber was deep, my dreams started to be created by my subconscious. I don't know what I dreamt, but before anything could be coherent in my bizarre dreams. I suddenly saw a black sigil appearing before my eyes, the same one that appeared in my mind at the coffee shop.

“Luna… we are here” I heard Adrien say

I opened my eyes quickly and He was looking at me.

“You really fell asleep…” He pointed out

“And I was not the one who had fencing and chinese lessons and a photo shoot… and a band practice” I said sarcastically as I scratched my tired eyes

“It's not that much when-” He started saying as he hold his hand to help me out of the car

“When you get used to it?” I interrupted him

He gave me a knowing smile and nodded. I hold his hand getting out of the car and thank him. We entered the mansion and Nathalie was already waiting for us.

“You are late” Nathalie pronounced in an emotionless tone “Adrien, go to your room and practice piano”

“But Nathalie, I just came down from practicing” Adrien argued

Nathalie made a death stare to Adrien and he stopped talking.

“Yes Nathalie…” He accepted and went to his room

Nathalie's gaze finally fell on me.

“I don't have to explain that you shouldn't be late and keep Adrien on schedule, don't I?” She asked emotionlessly

“No, no you don't ma'am” I answered nervously

“Good” she reaffirmed “Mr. Agreste is waiting for you in his studio”

I nodded as I walked my way to Gabriel's studio, my hands started to sweat, my steps were slow and unsure and my heart pounded fast. The door was closed, but before I could knock, I heard Gabriel talking to someone inside.

“Who is that new superheroine Nooroo? Why is her Miraculous not in the Grimoire?!” He whispered furiously

“We don't know all the Miraculouses that exist, I'm sorry” A soft and scared voice answered

“You are useless Nooroo, don't you all know each other?” Gabriel inquired

“Well… her powers are similar to the shadow miraculous… but there is a legend, maybe she is the holder of the…” The soft voice started explaining

My hand was violently pulled forward by an invisible force all of the sudden, interrupting the conversation and slightly tripping my way into the room. I quickly stepped back and closed the door again.

“I'm sorry, I tripped, can I come in?” I nervously blurted

“Come in Luna” Gabriel said, clearly pissed

I took a deep breath and I entered the room. As I went inside, I scanned the room and the person who Gabriel was talking to was nowhere to be found. But after scanning the room, I was met with Gabriel's judgemental gaze.

“I'm really sorry for interrupting your call, I didn't meant to, I just tripped” I tried to explain nervously as I approached

Gabriel took a deep breath, clearly trying to contain his anger.

“Don't bother with excuses Luna, be better next time” He pronounced in a monotonous tone

“Yes sir, as I said, I'm sorry sir” I apologized one last time “You wanted to talk to me about something?” I asked

“Yes, Luna, can you remind me of what Adrien's activities are tomorrow?” He asked

Without wasting a second, I took out the tablet, almost slipping due to my sweaty fingers, and I checked Adrien's schedule.

“He has classes at college all morning and an hour after lunch…” I started listing “After that he has a modeling session and he has an interview for a magazine for the new cologne line…”

“That means you have almost half a day free, don't you?” He asked

“It seems so sir… Except, if you would want me to accompany Adrien to his college classes” I said

“No no, there is no need for that. But, since Nathalie will be busy tomorrow, I need you to deliver some files for me” He explained as he waved a catalog envelope “You will deliver this to Mrs. Tsurugi and will attend any questions or requests she has, understood?” He ordered with no place to argue

“Yes sir” I nodded

He gave me the envelope and looked back to his workstation. I sighed and started to leave, but before I did Gabriel spoke up again.

“I almost forgot, I took the liberty of supply your room with a full wardrobe, I cannot have my employees dressing with the same outfits or as unfashionable as you dress”

Even though he just criticised my fashion sense once again, that news drew a smile on my face.

“Thank you sir, I really appreciate it” I thanked him

Gabriel lifted his gaze from his workstation and I noticed a never so slight smirk on his lips.

“You are dismissed now” He said emotionlessly

I nodded and left back to my room. I walked to my room, feeling my heart pounding, I tried not to run my way to my room and to stop my face from making a dumb smile. I finally entered my room and my self control disappeared, I ran towards the wardrobe and opened it completely. It was filled up to the brim with shirts, blouses, t-shirts, dresses, shoes and a lot more. I started to feel the smooth and expensive fabrics with my fingers, the newly bought smell invading my nostrils and the amount of clothes that made my eyes shine. I even made a silent scream out of excitement.

After a while of exploring my new wardrobe and drooling over the amount of clothes I had never had before, I had dinner and ended up in my bed. The softness of the mattress molded to my body and the warmth of the sheets were really inviting to sleep. However, I could not stop thinking about the Obelisk, Vhorak, Ladybug and Cat Noir and today's fight. I rolled in my bed trying to sleep but, even though I fell asleep really easily in the car, now I somehow couldn't. I sat in my bed, clenching my jaw as I was tired but I couldn't sleep. My mind was going through everything that happened today, keeping me awake.

“Vhorak what was that at the obelisk?” I bluntly asked

“Dear Luna, I'm not entirely sure… but as you were, I was oddly pulled to that obelisk” Vhorak's deep voice echoed through my mind “But, It really piqued my curiosity as well, we could look deeper into it, if you want to” He suggested

I stayed silent for a second, thinking about what to do. I shook my head in frustration and screamed into a pillow. After a second of screaming into my pillow, I sighed and ruffled my hair in frustration.

“Oh, geez, I won't be able to sleep if I keep thinking about this, let's go” I affirmed as I got up and opened a window “Okay Vhorak, Darkness rises” I said transforming.

I jumped out the window and ran through Paris's rooftops, until I reached the obelisk once again. The weird silence of the street was deafening and the chill wind made my body shiver slightly. My eyes were set on the obelisk, that tingling and pull towards the obelisk came back. I felt my heart pounding really slow as I took shy steps towards the structure, my breath slow and deep. I felt time slowing down and I raised my hand as I got closer. My hand, my whole arm was supported by some invisible force, like another arm enveloping mine and gently pulling forward.

“Vhorak?” I asked softly and breathy

As my hand was about to touch the stone of the obelisk, my hand stopped. It was touching an unseen wall. Suddenly, the purple gem of my Miraculous started glowing and black cracks started forming in thin air. I couldn't move, my mind was focused on the hypnotic cracks that were getting larger. I opened my lips to say something but Vhorka's shushed me gently.

“Shhh… keep going…” Vhorak's deep voice pronounced in a softer and gentle manner

The cracks slowly got larger and a dark hole started appearing as the cracks expanded. Suddenly a small hole formed and, just as quickly as it formed, dark shadows, really similar to mine, started getting out of it. The shadows engulfed my hand and started crawling towards my wrist, until they reached the gem of my Miraculous. When they did, they started going inside the gem somehow and I felt a surge of energy going through my body. And As fast as the hole appeared, it started getting smaller and the cracks started to heal and then all of it disappeared.

“No!” Vhorak yelled in my mind

“What… What just happened?” I muttered confused

I felt my knees weakening, my head was lightheaded and my vision became blurry. I stumbled, trying not to fall. My eyelids started to weigh more and more, until my vision went black and I fell to the ground, exhausted.

Chapter Text

An endless night filled with countless and bright stars. The gentle and wet rocking of light waves beneath my body. I tried to touch the stars.

“This… this is amazing” I whispered to myself “I could stay here all my life…”

Suddenly, in front of me and just for a moment, the black sigil appeared, invading my sight. I tried to look away, but I couldn’t, the sigil was the only thing I saw. And, as fast as the sigil appeared in my head, I woke up. 

I opened my eyes, the sound of my alarm was pissing my ears off and the sun was already up. I stretched, feeling my muscles relaxed and my mind at ease, like if I had been sleeping an eternity.

“That… that really was a good night’s sleep…” I mumble to myself

I got up from my bed as I did my morning routine, but, as I did it, I started wondering when did I change into my pajamas, or when did I come back from the obelisk, or how did I come back… I didn’t really remember anything after what happened there.

“Vhorak…” I whispered

“Yes? Dear Luna” Vhorak’s voice rumbled in my mind

I was about to ask him about the silver-eyed lady, the sigil, what happened last night and everything else, but my stomach growled.

“Nothing, we will talk later tonight” I whispered “And also you shouldn’t spend so much time inside of me… Okay… that sounded dirtier than I wanted to…” I giggled

Branding a subtle smile, I got down to the kitchen and started cooking. My humming of a Hazbin Hotel song and the sizzling of the pan invaded the kitchen. I heard a yawn coming from outside the kitchen and Adrien entered.

“Someone is in a good mood” Adrien pointed out

“First, good morning… Second, yeah I’m in a good mood, I guess” I responded

“You even look better than yesterday, you look less tired” He said

“Yep, I slept really well, like the best night in a long, long time” I said

“I’m glad” Adrien said, branding a smile

“So… are you hungry? Cause, I’m making toasts with pan fried cherry tomatoes, melted cheese, basil and ,the old-fashioned, fruit” I announced, as if it were a five star menu “I know it is not your chef’s cooking but… I hope you like it”

“Like it? I’m really happy that you made this, no one had cooked in this kitchen, aside from the cook, since…” His tone quickly shifted from hopeful and optimistic, to nostalgic “Since… well, my mom…” He tailed off

He didn’t have to say it, I knew exactly what happened just from the tone of his voice.

“I’m so sorry Adrien, I didn’t mean to-” I tried to apologise

“No, no, I’m actually happy that you have been cooking breakfast these last few days… It gives me a sense of normality. Does that make sense?” He asked, with a faint smile

“It certainly does, Adrien…” I said, as I plated

I plated the four breakfasts and delivered one to Gabriel, from whom I just left it on his table, and one to Nathalie, who I just left it on her nightstand without waking her up. I came back to the kitchen and Adrien was waiting for me.

“You should eat, you are going to be late” I said

“I was waiting for you” Adrien said

I rolled my eyes and sat in front of him. We ate together and talked. Well, again, he did most of the talking, I listened and added some comments in between.

“So… Luna, why don’t you tell me about your world?” He asked

“Well… there is not much to tell… like it’s mostly the same, except for the superheroes, the jewellery… and you don’t have a lot of shows I like…” I explained

“That’s the only difference? I hoped your world would be more like… Sharks vs Zombies 4, It’s a movie Nino, made me watch” He said, hopefully

“Well, it seems that sharks and terrible movies are some constant thing across universes… mine is with sharks and Tornados…” I joked

Adrien laughed, and I giggled too

“Come on, eat, you are going to be late, and if you are late, I’m late” I warned

We ate together and talked a little more until it was time to go.

Once I escorted Adrien to his college classes, I went to meet Mrs. Tsurugi. I arrived at the park, where the tablet that Nathalie gave me told me to go. My hands were sweating a little, and I felt a pit in my stomach. I didn’t want to disappoint Gabriel Agreste and make a poor impression on her business ally. I took a deep breath, tried to calm down and there was when I saw two people in the park. One of them was a young Asian woman, around my age, her short black hair moved every time she swung her kendo sword, her brown eyes with a slight red hue were focused and determined. Her moves were clean and calculated as she practiced Kendo. 

Meanwhile, sitting on a bench, there was an older Asian woman, her black hair was perfectly tied in a chignon style, so perfect that no hair was out of place, her expression was stern and serious. Her black sunglasses reflected the sun and gave her a menacing appearance.

“Kagami, stop, we have company” The older woman ordered sternly out of nowhere

The young woman stopped without hesitation and both looked at me. Without me realizing, I approached more than I intended to and they had noticed. I gulped and started talking.

“Hello… Mrs. Tsurugi, I presume” I said nervously

“Greetings, you presume well, are you Adrien’s new assistant?” Mrs. Tsurugi asked

“Yes, that’s me… Luna, nice meeting you, ma’am” I said, bowing slightly

“This is my daughter Kagami” Mrs. Tsurugi introduced her

Kagami bowed slightly to me, and I did the same for her.

“Have you brought the documents?” Mrs. Tsurugi asked

“Yes, Mrs. Tsurugi. Here they are” I said as I reached into my satchel bag, one of the few things left from my own world, and gave her the envelope “If you need any help, Mr. Agreste ordered me to assist you in anything you need”

Mrs. Tsurugi took the envelope and raised from the bench. “My daughter needs someone to help her train, you will suffice as a training dummy, I will go with Tatsu and read this” She said

I wanted to say that I didn’t know anything about kendo or that I was not good at that, but, at the same time, I didn’t want to upset her or, even worse, disappoint Gabriel. So, I nodded and smiled as she left.

Kagami turned to me, her eyes wandered up and down me, like she was analysing my weaknesses and judging my very being. I felt a chill running down my spine.

“You know nothing about kendo, don’t you?” Kagami asked me in an emotionlessly

“I know you have to hit the opponent with the wooden sword…” I said nervously

She sighed and took a spare wooden sword that was next to the bench and gave it to me. I took it in my hands, it was not that heavy, though it was not precisely light, it had a balance to it.

“It’s lighter than I expected” I pointed out

“It’s made out of bamboo” She explained

She then quickly explained the rules of kendo to me. While she talked she seemed weird, she was serious and monotonous, but she was kind and patient, like she was trying to be nice.

“Okay, I seem to get it…I guess” I said

She took some distance and got on guard.

“Are you ready?” She asked

“Not really, but I don’t seem to have much of an option” I nervously pointed out

With lightning speed, she launched an attack. But it hit me before I could even react.

“Ouch!” I yelped

“One point for me” Kagami said

I got back into position, raised my guard up, and prepared myself for her attack. But, there was nothing I could ever do to dodge or even block her attacks, she was way too fast, too fierce and too precise. She scored multiple points before I could even react or try to counterattack.

Once she was done humiliating me, my ego, already not that high to begin with, was not the only thing bruised. Kagami stared at me, her expression was unreadable, stoic and unamused. She walked back and stood again on guard.

“Let’s go again, now try to land a hit, I know my mother told you to act as training dummy, but she didn’t mean it literally” She said

I sighed

“I guess you are right… But-” I was about to try to make an excuse for my poor physical prowess, but she interrupted me

“No buts, just try to do it” She ordered

I looked at her, raised my bamboo sword, I looked for something, maybe an opening, maybe a way for me to attack. My eyes moved quickly, trying to find a weakness, like I did the night before. And I took a chance and launched a swift attack to her side.

However, Kagami easily blocked it. I tried again, even quicker now, but the same result. She was blocking flawlessly, and the opening I thought I saw just disappeared. After a few swings at her, she started to attack me and, again, I was defending. This time, however, I could defend her attacks, they were slower, she was clearly holding back now for my sake. But that didn’t matter, and like a déjà vu of last night, I was being cornered by an unyielding and fast enemy. I felt my hands trembling due to the vibration of the hits on the sword and my eyes were darting rapidly to block her attacks. That was the moment when she gave a decisive blow that clashed into my sword, making me trip with my own legs and fall to the ground.

I grunted in pain when I fell and Kagami pointed her sword at my face.

“Your moves are uncoordinated and your balance easily overthrown…” She pointed out in an almost hurtful way

“Yeah, I know” I muttered

She stopped pointing at me with the sword and lent me a hand so I could get up. I took her hand and got up.

I averted her gaze and clenched my jaw a little. “I could have easily won if I would have used my powers” I thought. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down, it was supposed to be a good day after and with a fake smile, I said:

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, Kagami Tsurugi. If there is a next time, I’ll be better”

I sat down on the bench, and she sat beside me.

“You are trying to go with the flow, but you don’t even know what you are doing” She said bluntly

My eyes posed on her for a second and then I looked down. My mind was filled with thoughts of how I could have won, If I had used my powers. But her words weigh on me somehow, like an eerie reminder that I didn’t belong there, and that I was not thinking about what I was doing. A reminder that, in the span of 3 days, I had been transported to a whole different world, I almost died, I was given a job, I acquired powers, I fought a supervillain, I…

Luckily, my thoughts were interrupted by Kagami.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you” She apologised

I looked at her, and her serious and stoic expression had softened, not a lot, but she seemed guilty.

“I am not the best at socializing, I am truly sorry” She said with a slight tone of frustration

“Yeah, I’m not the best at socializing either… so… don’t worry so much” I said with a knowing smile on my face

For a moment, we were in silence, just contemplating the park’s scenery. I was just looking for something to say, until Kagami broke the ice, before I could.

“So… What Ice cream flavor is your favourite?” Kagami asked with an uncanny and forced smile

“Uh?” I was dumbfounded by the question, but I understood what she was trying to do. “You know that you don’t actually need to befriend me, don’t you?” I said

“I understand” She expressed, going back to that stoic and serious tone “You are just doing your job”

I sighed and giggled a little “No, I meant that… if you didn’t like or found me annoying whatsoever, you didn’t have to force yourself to befriend me”

“No, not at all, I find you intriguing” She said

“Intriguing? Why?” I asked

“Well, you appeared out of nowhere and now you are Adrien’s assistant, Gabriel’s most precious diamond. He must have seen something in you to hire you” She explained

“Yeah, I don’t get it either… but I’m doing my best” I sighed “I’m not special or anything…”

“I think you are, there is a sacred beast, a hidden power inside of you, that I cannot see” She expressed

Her words were kind, and my heart warmed up slightly, but also instigated doubts in my mind. “Sacred beast, hidden power” maybe, she knew about Vhorak somehow. But, I swallowed discreetly and tried not to jump to conclusions.

“And you know neither, for the looks of it” She continued

“Yeah… my self esteem is something I’ve always struggled with” I muttered, lowering my head and looking down

“A tiger does not shout its tigritude, it acts.” She said confidently

I raised my head and smiled slightly

“Thanks, I’m doing my best…” I said “But my acts aren’t balanced nor coordinated” I teased her

She smiled at me and giggled

“So… Kagami, I’ve heard you are really good at ice skating, or that’s what I’ve read on your file” I commented

“I am certainly skilled at ice skating, are you? Do you like ice skating?” She asked

“I went one time, up to the rink, but I was a child and I didn’t want to fall, so didn’t actually skated” I answered

 “You should learn, it is a fantastic recreational activity and quite fun” She said

“I don’t know… I don’t have any friends to go with” I pronounced with some shame

“It is fun with friends, last time I went, I went with Adrien, Marinette and Luka” She said with a tenderness in her voice, recalling the lovely memory

“That seems like fun, a pleasant afternoon with friends…” I said with a smile, imagining my own friends and I going to an ice rink.

That would probably never happen even if I were in the same dimension as them, but it was comforting nonetheless. I look at her, her eyes gazing at the horizon with her reddish eyes bright.

“It depends” I said out of nowhere

“What depends?” She asked confused

“On my mood, If I crave security and nostalgia or just to remember the good parts of my childhood, I choose vanilla. But, If I mostly order chocolate or a rare chocolate with strawberry flavor, that it’s sold near my house” I explain with fake expertise

“What?” Kagami asked still confused

“My favourite ice cream flavor, you asked, didn’t you?” I said, teasing her a little

She laughed, and I laughed too. And we went up, and we pretended to train kendo, worrying that her mother would return soon. As we were right, her mother returned soon enough.

“You” Mrs. Tsurugi said approaching me “I’ve made some adjustments to these documents, you may take them back to Gabriel”

I left the wooden sword resting on the bench and got close so I could take the documents. She handed them to me.

“May I assist you in anything else, ma’am?” I asked

“You already did, you trained with my daughter, and for what I can judge, she went easy on you, but you tried your best, even if your best, it’s not nearly enough” Mrs. Tsurugi said sternly

I gulped, feeling a shiver down my spine, and I lowered my head.

“Mother, Luna did her best at training with me and she is…” Kagami tried to defend

“I will deal with you later Kagami, you should know better than to go easy on her” Mrs. Tsurugi ordered

“I understand ma’am, I’m truly sorry to disappoint you” I apologised with my head lowered slightly

“Good, next time, you will do better” She said, not letting any room for me to discuss “Now go, I’ll see you later, Luna”

“Goodbye Mrs. Tsurugi, Goodbye Kagami” I said as I bowed a little to leave

I left the park, a little ashamed by Mrs. Tsurugi’s words, but a shy smile formed on my lips, remembering my conversation with Kagami. And I thought that she seemed like a nice girl and maybe we could be friends.

However, Vhorak’s voice appeared in my mind again, today softer and relaxed but without losing his deep voice.

“You could have won easily, if you had only used my powers, dear Luna” He said

“Maybe, but I was not going to expose you or that I have powers… its superhero 101, the basics” I answered in my thoughts “You seem more… quiet today, less talkative” I observed

“There is nothing to talk, lady Luna, and you are busy with your assignments” Vhorak said “But, I would appreciate that you transformed and train these powers”

“Okay, maybe later tonight, I do really have a lot of energy today and I’m in the mood for some night superheroine action” I thought

“I will be expecting it, dear Luna” Vhorak said pleased

After that, I picked up Adrien from his classes and escorted to his shooting. Nothing really interesting happened, just a photo shoot. But only one thing stood out: a particular woman, people giving her the utmost attention, surrounded her. Her smile was stylish, her auburn hair was beautiful, outstandingly silky and really well kept… I even felt jealous, I wished I had hair as good as hers. She stood out due to her bright vermillion jacket, and her piercing green and greyish eyes. That woman, for a moment, noticed that I was staring at her and she stared back. Even Though, she was smiling and her expression was soft and innocent, a chill ran down my body and I felt like a pit had formed in my heart for just a moment. She waved at me and I waved back, confused, since I didn’t know her. That feeling disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

The day ended really quickly after that, we returned home with Adrien.

“How were things with Mrs. Tsurugi?” He asked

“Oh… Well… Could have been better, I guess” I said “But, I did won in kendo” I giggled

He raised an eyebrow and looked at me

“Okay, Okay, I lied, I lost spectacularly” I admitted

“I figured” He said “You met Kagami?”

“Yeah, she seems nice” I said

“She is” He said “She is a good friend and an even better swordswoman…” He said with admiration before trailing off

I analysed his expression for a second.

“She seems like it is… But I guess there is more to that story for your reaction…” I said

“What do you mean?” He asked, pretending to be confused and failing

“I mean… your sad kitty eyes, the evident admiration in your voice… Do I need to say more?” I remarked

He blushed slightly and started stammering, that innocent reaction made me laugh a bit

“I don’t have sad kitty eyes!” He shouted

“Of course you don’t, who said that?” I mockingly said

We both laugh.

“For being all day at college and shooting, you surely are energetic this afternoon, aren’t you, Adrien?” I pointed out

“I could say the same thing, you were really tired yesterday, you even fell asleep in the car” He responded

I thought for a second, feeling my chin, and then nodded

“You’re right, today I’m more energetic somehow and, believe me, I’m really prone to sleeping, like I usually sleep a lot” I explained “Maybe It’s the new job”

“Or the new reality…” He added

“Or the new reality” I repeated, acknowledging the possibility “Either way, today it was a good day, even if I got bested by Kagami and slightly bullied by her Mother” I expressed with a faint smile

His eyes sparked a little at my, almost innocent, optimism. 

Then ,we arrived at the mansion, and the spark in his eyes faded a lot. He went upstairs, but I stayed behind and approached Gabriel’s office. I heard through the door that Gabriel was talking again with someone with a high-pitched voice. I knocked on the door, before I could hear anything though.

“Come in” Gabriel shouted

I came inside Gabriel’s office, and he was seemingly alone again. I was sure that he was with someone, I heard the voice… but I convinced myself he was on a call or something of some sorts. I started walking towards him, taking out the envelope with the documents.

“Oh, It’s you, I was wondering when you would arrive with that?” Gabriel said with a condescending tone

“Sorry for the tardiness” I apologized

I got close to him and extended my hand, but I didn’t realise that I extended the hand where my Miraculous were. I handed Gabriel the envelope and he noticed my Miraculous.

“That’s a nice bracelet, Luna” He said

My heart started pounding rapidly and I suddenly felt my throat closing slightly.

“Thank you, Mr. Agreste” I thanked him nervously

I tried to tuck my hand away, but he grabbed my wrist gently . My eyes opened wide open as he grabbed my wrist.

“Ehhh… sir?” I said nervously

“Where did you buy it from? You certainly did not have it yesterday, I would have noticed” He said with a stern and oddly suspicious tone

“Ehh, It’s mine, I didn’t buy it, It’s kind of a… family heirloom” I stuttered nervously

In that moment, Vhorak’s voice appeared in my mind

“He knows, you need to transform and escape” Vhorak ordered

Vhorak’s order echoed painfully.

“It was in my satchel bag… Cat Noir found it and gave it to me yesterday, it was in there” I tried to make up an excuse

“It clearly has an exquisite design” He pointed out

Then his eyes shifted towards mine, he looked me dead in the eye with suspicion, like he knew something was up with me, his face just slightly pissed as always. I swallowed, trying to calm myself down.

But, suddenly, he released my wrist.

“You should let me analyze the design, it’s quite… inspiring” Gabriel said, fixing his tie

“Mr. Agreste, I would love to, but-” I tried to say, but he interrupted me

“That will be all Luna, you can go” He said sternly as he went back to work

I opened my mouth to say something, but I stopped myself. I walked out of the room, hoping he would forget about the bracelet and thinking of ways to hide it, if necessary.

“Lady Luna, you should have crushed him, he knows something” Vhorak said in my mind

“We don’t know that… maybe… maybe he really did find the bracelet cute and inspiring” I said in my mind, still reeling about that interaction

“You think it was a coincidence? dear Luna” Vhorak asked with some anger in his voice

“We don’t know him, maybe It’s how he is” I tried to explain

“You are being naïve, dear Luna” Vhorak growled in my mind

“We… We don’t know him and I’ve read on the internet that he is kind of weird” I answered “But I will be alert, don’t worry”

I finally arrived at my room and calmed myself down.

“My beautiful hair is going to fall out completely if I keep stressing so much” I whisper to myself

I sat on my bed and looked down the window. It was almost nighttime, the orange sky was turning black and the Paris landscape was starting to light up. I closed my eyes and let myself fall into the bed.

“It was a good day though, wasn’t it?” I asked myself

I raised my hand and observed my Miraculous, pondering on the responsibilities that come with it and its power, the design, the Kwami and what everything meant, in this universe and… maybe why I was there.

For a couple of minutes, I was immersed in thought, but I interrupted myself before I started overthinking and going to dark places. It had only been 3 days since I arrived, I still had time to come back home. I got up for bed and looked through the window again, and bit my lip softly in excitement.

“I’m not even tired yet… maybe I should… yeah, why not” I convinced myself “Okay, Vhorak, you have what you wanted, we are going to train, or have some fun jumping through Paris”

I looked at my Miraculous and made a sort of transformation pose, by widening my stance and placing my wrist next to my face.

“Vhorak, Darkness rises” I said as I clenched the fist where my Miraculous was, just to add some flair.

I transformed and jumped out the window.

The soothing moonlight shone on the still busy streets of Paris. But, even though it was a calm night, I rushed through rooftops with outstanding energy. I was putting my powers up to the test, creating more and more complex ways to traverse through the rooftops, experimenting with the shadow constructs.

"Well done Lady Luna, you are getting more precise at the use of the constructs and more attune to the chaos energy" Vhorak's voice echoed through my mind

I stopped at a nearby roof, right in front of the Trocadero.

"Yeah… uff, I'm really getting better at this" I said, panting slightly "And it seems that I can make bigger constructs somehow… Why is that Vhorak?" I asked

"Dear Luna-" Vhorak started to say

But before Vhorak could say anything else, Cat Noir's voice ringed my ears.

"Who's Vhorak?" Cat Noir asked

Vhorak grunted in my mind and it painfully echoed through it. I suddenly felt my body tensing and my jaw clenching slightly, but I didn't know why. He was standing there when I turned around, making his belt/tail spin.

"ehhh… no one, or who knows maybe that's my real name and I've revealed my secret identity" I spouted full of sarcasm, trying fix my idiotic mistake of talking with Vhorak at loud

"Oh no, really?!" He pretended to be surprised "Of course you are Vhorak, it goes with your edgy personality and presence" He teased

I felt oddly pissed by the teasing of Vhorak's name. But I just rolled my eyes and smirked, deciding to play along with the joke.

"Who could I be so careless??! Now I'll have one of the most powerful superheroes knowing my deepest secret!! I'll have to change jobs, name, identity, what am I going to do? All because I was sooooo… edgy to talk to myself in the third person" I said overly dramatic and clearly joking

Cat Noir laughed for a couple of seconds.

"Okay, okay, you win" He composed himself from laughing "You are funnier than I expected"

"Have you ever had any doubts? Kitty Cat" I confidently affirmed

He rolled his eyes dramatically and I giggled

"Where is your polka dots friend? Is she joining us?" I asked

Cat Noir sat down on the edge of the rooftop and checked out a sort of a phone that is concealed in his staff.

"She is supposed to…" He sighed disappointed

I sat down next to him

"We usually go on patrol every night, stop petty crimes and try to watch our for Akumatized villains" He explained

"Maybe she is late…" I guessed

"Mmmm… Probably" He said while watching at the Eiffel tower

"You don't seem that convinced…" I said

"I don't… lately I feel like she is pushing me…" He trailed off and looked at me through the corner of his eye

"You just interrupted your self" I pointed out

"Yeah… I don't know if I should talk about that with you… Ladybug doesn't trust you" He says

"Really? I didn't notice…" I sarcastically said

"What are you doing here? Are you going to patrol the city too?" He asked

"ahhhhh…" I avoided his eyes "well… I didn't exactly come out to patrol…"

He raised an eyebrow

"I was trying out the limits of my Miraculous" I explained "and I'm not gonna lie, I was having a little fun while doing it" I admitted

His eyes stared at mine with curiosity and thoughtfulness. I clenched my jaw, just exhausted from being analyzed and under everyone's glasses. But something about this feeling, this annoyance, felt… alien.

"Well, your powers are not purrfect or straight forward as mine" Cat Noir finally said, gloating

"I think that your tiny cat mind could not ever handle the complexities of my Miraculous abilities…" I continued playful banter

"Real classy, calling a handsome cat, dumb. You hurt my feelings" He pretends to be offended

A faint smile forms in my face.

"So… I guess Ladybug is not coming, want to go on patrol with me?" Cat Noir asked, still slightly bumped

"I do have a lot of pent up energy, somehow…" I trail off

My mind started wondering, the day before when I used my miraculous, I was exhausted and my body spent. I couldn't help but wonder why. But, Cat Noir got up and extended his hand.

"Let's go then!" He announced excited

I smiled mischievously and let myself fall down the edge, and I created a rope while I was falling to swing across the gaps.

"Hey! Not fair! Wait for me!" He yelled and jumped to follow me

We patrolled the city for a couple of hours and Ladybug was a no show no call. But we did good superhero work, we rescued some cats from trees, we helped some firefighters and we stopped some petty crimes. Until we stopped at an ice cream cart.

"Oh, yeah, this seems like a great villain hideout" I sarcastically remarked

Cat Noir rolled his eyes

"Are you new to the city or what? This are the famous André's Ice creams" He explained

"No, yeah… I knew that" I lied "I meant that I doubt that a criminal would hide here, so why are we stopping by?" I asked

"Aren't you hungry?" He said

"... I could have some ice cream…" I shyly admit

"Two ice creams then" He said

I approached the cart to order, but before I could even say a word, Cat Noir stopped me and looked at me with a knowing look.

"You don't order here, André knows what to give you" He explained

"Ohh…" I pronounced disappointed, I wanted vanilla

André took a quick look at me and started scooping some ice cream. I waited a bit too eagerly, I hadn't had a tasty treat since I arrived at this word and, after everything that happened, I deserved it. Finally, André gave me an Ice cream cone with mostly blue or cyan flavors. I took it eagerly and tasted it. It was sweet and, in a lot of ways, heart warming. Cat Noir got his ice cream, it was red with chocolate chips and other flavors.

"Wow… this is really good" I said, my voice almost melting from the flavor

"Glad you like it" He said "Actually, there is a story about André's ice creams. It is said that the ice cream that he gives you represents your true love"

I looked at him and back to my ice cream, pondering the possibility of love so far away from home felt… overwhelming.

"I can't say it works… it didn't really work for me" He sadly pronounced

I shook my head slightly

"Don't give up, you have the power of destruction in the palm of your hand and you are superhero, I can't see why this Ice cream cannot be magical" I tried to cheer him up
His eyes met mine, like hoping me to continue, to reassure him.

"I… I…" I stuttered not really knowing what to say but I took a deep breath and I finally pronounced something. "I've always believed in destiny somehow, like the world has its own narrative… I think that if this ice cream can determine your soulmate or your true love, it won't be instantly or it won't be how you want it to be… You just need to hope that it will happen and fight for it… I want to, no, I need to believe that everything will work out at the end and I won't be… alone" I whispered solemnly
Cat Noir's eyes stared at me wide open, either surprised by my sincerity or by my really profound monologue. I looked back at him for a second, until I realized what I just said.

"But… I mean, my last something ended a little messy so, I'm not really looking to find love" I tried to ease up the tension

He suddenly chuckles

"Hahaha either that was really edgy or really wholesome" Cat Noir said between chuckles

Suddenly, and without warning, I felt a tingle crawling through my skin, an unnatural sensation like nothing I had ever felt before, it was no mere shiver. I felt like I could sense something… I instinctively licked my lips.
Cat Noir looked at me, staring blankly into the horizon. He swallowed and put his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…" He started to apologize

I jumped up

"Something… No… Someone is coming" I announced

"What?" Cat Noir asked confused

I didn't answer him, jumped on top of a rooftop and started running towards that sensation. Cat Noir followed suit.

"Wait! Where are you going? What's happening?" He yelled

I stopped on the edge of a rooftop near the source of that weird sensation and I saw her.

"That is what is happening" I said as I pointed towards the street.

I pointed to the street and there they were, an akumatized villain. They were wearing a massive grey medieval-like armor and branding an even bigger war hammer, almost 3 times their size. Every step they took made the ground tremble and when they swung their war hammer, a strong and unyielding air current was created.

"Ladybug! Cat Noir! Show yourselves and suffer the might of Warlord!" The akumatized villain announced as theatrically as the other akumatized villains

I turned to Cat Noir

"So… you are the senior superhero, we engage or we wait for your mistress? … I mean your boss, I mean, Ladybug" I teased him a little

"I think we should get to work, maybe you'll get a promotion" He answered

We both jumped down to the street to face Warlord. Warlord looked at Cat Noir and Me.

"Finally, the Black Cat of destruction" Warlord said, without even acknowledging my existence

Cat Noir was about to say something, probably a snarky remark, but Warlord swung his hammer and the raft of wind it created sent Cat Noir back a few steps.

"You can't resist even my mighty wind, you won't survive my mighty war hammer, give me your Miraculous and I might let you live" Warlord said

"Not a chance Warlord" Cat Noir answered as he lifted his staff

Cat Noir gave me a look and he charged against Warlord, I followed him into action. Cat Noir swung his staff, hitting Warlord on the ribs. I followed it by creating my own staff with shadows and making him stumble, about to trip. Cat Noir used that opportunity to keep attacking him and I did too. With a coordinated blow we made Warlord stumble back and get on his knees.

"It seems that we won the battle AND the war" Cat Noir said smugly

"Yeah, it seems like someone underestimated us… specially me" I remarked, staring at Warlord

"Now Warlord, where your Akuma might be?" Cat Noir rhetorically asked

But Warlord, instead of being defeated or even nervous… he started laughing.

"That can't be good…" I mumbled

All of the sudden, a fluttering sound invaded my ears and I sensed something else again, another presence…

"Cat Noir… we need to move" I said calmly

"Why? We need to destroy the akumatized object" He said

I looked in the direction of the presence and I could have never expected what I was about to see. Rising from the top of the buildings, red and black wings flattered, yellow eyes that glowed and scales as thick as his monstrous body. There it was… a dragon.

Cat Noir's eyes opened widely

"Oh… That's why" He nervously whispered

The Dragon hovered posed itself on the top of a building and opened its big jaws and Cat Noir and I knew what was coming. We ran as a powerful stream of fire was shot from the dragon's mouth. We luckily took cover behind a car. However, as soon the fire touched the car, it disappeared, leaving only behind some red particles. The dragon inhaled created a strong force that moved the particles and us to his mouth. I quickly created a shadow wall to stop me and Cat Noir from being sucked off into the dragon's mouth. The dragon swallowed the particles and grew bigger.

"Okay… this is really bad…" I said to Cat Noir

"We need to move" Cat Noir ordered

I nodded and we ran towards a building before the dragon could attack us again. Cat Noir extended his staff and created my own, jumping on top of that building. Once on top, a certain, weirdly annoying, voice made my ears ring.

"So What's the situation?" Ladybug Asked

We both turned around and Cat Noir's eyes sparkled as he had seen a goddess. There she was, Ladybug standing on top of the roof, unapologetically late.

"We have an akumatized villain with a big hammer and a dragon centimonster" Cat Noir explained

"Yeah, and the dragon can make things disappear with it's fire breath just by touching it" I added

"So, we shouldn't get caught on it" Cat Noir said

"So, all mighty latybug, what's the plan?" I asked

Ladybug rested her chin in her hand, thinking for a second, as the roars of the dragon deafened our ears. Until she looked at us with a determined look on her face.

"You two distract them, I will come back" She ordered

As fast as she arrived, she was off, using her yo-yo to traverse through the roofs.

"We will M'Lady! " Cat Noir said to the departing Ladybug

"Did she… leave us? Against a Dragon?" I asked dumbfounded

"You heard her, we have a job to do" Cat Noir said

"Didn't she scolded me because of running off last time?" I pointed out

Cat Noir either ignored me or didn't feel to answer my question and just jumped into action. I clenched my fists against the fabric of my suit and curled my lips, but I breathed and tried to calm down. I followed Cat Noir, going towards the Dragon.

"So, your first centimonster, awww how quickly they grow" He said like if he were talking to a child, clearly a joke, but it annoyed me "But, you need to know that we cannot use the cataclysm or any destructive powers. If you do, it will go into a frenzy" He explained

We arrived to a vantage point where we could see the Dragon and Warlord.

"Focus on finding the amokatized object and the akumatized object" Cat Noir finished explaining

I scratched my eyes in frustration.

"We are fighting with a dragon that it touches and it makes you disappear and we can't do anything to harm it?!" I snapped

"Basically… but don't worry, Ladybug and me managed to come through against harder odds" He cheered me up

"The same Ladybug that ran away without telling us the plan?" I snarled

"I trust her, she is surely making an plan to defeat this villain" He tried to reassure me

I looked down to the streets, the dragon looking for us between the alleys and Warlord shouting for us to come out. And then I looked at Cat Noir, smiling, he was confident about what he was saying. Something about that made my teeth grit.

"You trust her, but does she trust you?" I said with malice

I soon as I said it, I regretted it, something had come over me… that wasn't something I would have ever said normally. It felt out of character of me… Cat Noir, even though, he tried to appear unaffected, his expression faltered for a second, but it came back like a well crafted mask of confidence.

"You don't need to be afraid Darkclette, we can manage even if Ladybug doesn't return" He said kindly

"I'm not afraid… I'm just" I took a deep breath "I'm sorry, let's go save Paris" I said with a renewed smug smile

"There we go" Cat Noir exclaimed

"You take Warlord, you have better chances of destroying the akumatized object is you find it" I said

"You sure? That dragon is fierce" He voiced his concern

I took another deep breath and shook my head slightly.

"Nop… but let's go before I change my mind" I finally said

Cat Noir nodded and jumped down to the street to confront Warlord, as I started running through the rooftops to catch up to the dragon. My mind was reeling going through different streams of thoughts: "Okay… you write fantasy, that is your specialty, you've consumed a lot of media with dragons. Surely there is something that can help… Okay, Game of Thrones. No, I don't have a scorpion and I can't hurt the dragon. The hobbit, same problem… How to train your dragon, no! this is not a wild dragon, it is an untamed dragon." I kept going through every piece of media that I could remember, looking for something that I could do to stop the dragon. But nothing came to mind and as I jumped from the rooftops towards the dragon, I thought: "What would my own characters do?… No, I have powers now I'm in a fantasy world of sorts, I'm a super heroine now… what would I do?"

Time seemed to slow down for a moment as I descended onto the Dragon. My mind went through a lot of plans, ways to solve this problem, scripting everything in my head, even If I didn't know how to do it.

With determination I landed on the Dragon's back and It didn't go unnoticed by it, as it started jerking to knock me off. But I barely kept myself on my feet and, with a cocky smile, started to create a shadow chain. I ran towards the Dragon's head and I launched the chain around his snout to create a something similar to a horse noseband. Consecutively, I pulled back to control the Dragon and stop it from moving. Surprisingly… it did stop moving. I was panting slightly and I blew a hare from my face as I kept a tight grip on the Dragon.

The dragon growled loudly and its wings started flapping rapidly and I closed my eyes in realization.

"Oh…I'm freaking dumb" I exclaimed in frustration

All of the sudden, the dragon started flying again and, with a sharp snap of it's neck, it sent me flying towards the nearest building. I landed back to the wall, cracking the stone and falling to the ground. It didn't hurt as much as it should, but it hurt.

The dragon landed in front of me as I stood up, cracking my neck. The Dragon's eyes locked mine and it started to open its jaws. I quickly posed my eyes in the legs of the Dragon.

"Let's try the empire strikes back…" I said as I created rope with chaos energy.

I ran towards the Dragon's legs and start to wrap the rope around its legs. However, as the Dragon tried to strike me with its claws, I ran out of chaos energy to continue extending the rope and it wasn't enough to topple the Dragon. I opened my mouth to express my frustration, when one of its legs launched me towards the wall again, the claws lacerating part of my suit and my skin near my hip. I growled in pain but the Dragon's steps overpowered any sound that could ever come from my mouth. The Dragon got closer and it opened its jaws once again. I was about to be obliterated, disappear to be fuel to this dragon and my mind couldn't find any way to escape.

Suddenly, I felt as the air became still and then anxiety, a pit in my stomach and a feeling I couldn't shake off. But it wasn't because of the Dragon, I was feeling some kind of deja vu.

"Grrrh… the snake" I heard Vhorak's growl in my head.

And before the Dragon could obliterated me with a stream of fire, someone pulled me out of there in their arms. They took me a near alleyway and we hid around a corner. Once hidden, I saw the deep green and turquoise with snake motives stretching over his body, his eyes shined in a bright spring green color and his dark hair with lighter green tips that was just beautiful. And then I realized, it was Luka, in his super hero transformation.

He gently let me back on my feet and helped me stand.

"Are you okay?" Luka's sweet and kind voice reached my ears

My eyes roamed up and down his body

"I am now~" I blurted out

I suddenly realized what I said and I coughed out of awkwardness. He giggle softly looked at me, his hand still holding me up near my waist, helping me stand.

"I'm glad you are okay. Viperion, by the way" Viperion said

"Darkclette" I said my name back to him

"It's a pleasure to meet you… but I hoped it could be in better circumstances" He said

His lips formed a gentle smile as he was about to take his hand off my waist. But he accidentally grazed the wound near my hip, making me grunt in pain. Viperion's eyes filled with concerned as I covered my wound with my hand.

"I'm okay…" I grunted in pain

"I thought our Miraculouses shielded us from injuries" Viperion expressed worried

"It has seems that there's a limit…" I said

"Let me see-" He was saying trying to move my hand to see the wound

"I don't think that's a good idea" I interrupted him

I then proceed to create a bandage with the chaos energy.

"That would do for now" I said "Or until Ladybug uses her miraculous ladybug to fix everything… It will heal me, right?" I asked

Viperion nodded

I sighed in relief and stretched my limbs for a second.

"I think we should get back to defeat that dragon" I said

"Actually, ladybug said that we should take care of the akumatized villain" He commented

"So she finally came back and gave an order" I complained

I created my own war hammer with chaos energy and smiled.

"But we do have a better chance against a guy with a big hammer than Dragon" I exclaimed with fake confidence

"It's okay to be nervous, it's a tough enemy" Viperion said looking right through me

Suddenly, the confidence I was faking, faltered for a moment. I averted his gaze and looked down the alley, trying put up again the facade that Luka just destroyed. But then, I felt his hand in my shoulder and I looked at him again. His were eyes glistening with hope and kindness.

"I've got your back, we can do it" His eerie voice pronounced to reassure me

I smiled shyly and nodded, he nodded back and squeezed my shoulder. I felt as his hand left my shoulder and the cold of the night replaced his warmth.

We started running out of the alleyway, looking for Warlord. We zoomed through the streets for a minute, until we found him. Warlord was still standing and Cat Noir was still fighting him…barely. Cat Noir was getting overwhelmed by Warlord's attacks and wind gusts, he was about to receive a hammer blow right in his chest when I launched myself into action. I blocked his hammer with my own.

"Are you hammered Cat Noir? Or just not fond of dodging?" I asked sarcastically

Cat Noir jumped back and I did too.

"You are getting better on the puns…" Cat Noir noted between puns "Though, I make them more PG"

I raise and eyebrow, but before I could make a witty comment back, Viperion talked.

"Ladybug told me that you should go and help her with the Dragon, Darkclette and I will take care of Warlord" Viperion said

Cat Noir just nodded and left to find the Dragon.

"HOW YOU DARE?! You intrude in my fight with the black cat!" Warlord shouted

Warlord charged towards me with his war hammer. I dodge his first attack and I retaliated with my own blow. But, when I lifted my own hammer and was about to land the a blow, a gust of wind unleashed from Warlord's hammer and flew me away. I recovered and I charged towards him.

Suddenly, I felt goosebumps all over my body and another deja vu sensation invaded my body.

"Duck!" Viperion yelled at me

Warlord's hammer was just centimeters away from me before I could realize, but, thanks to Viperion's warning, I ducked the blow. Warlord threw another strike in my direction and, again, I felt a deja vu.

"Dodge right" Viperion ordered

I dodged the hammer by going to the right and Warlord missed. I launched my own punch with my hammer and landed right in Warlord's ribcage, making him back a way just slightly. Warlord grunted in anger and gripped his war hammer with two hands now. I kept my assault on him, throwing my own blows towards him, but, unlike before, Warlord dodged every one last of them. And again, I felt a deja vu and the goosebumps forming in my skin.

"Dodge now!" Viperion yelled again

Warlord swan his war hammer with insane speed and created a gust of air, I barely dodge it, grazing the side my arm. And before I could even think, I was dodging multiple waves of blows as Viperion ordered me where to dodge. The deja vus I felt were overwhelming and annoying and, in frustration, I didn't listened to Viperion and landed a blow on Warlord, making him step back. I looked at Viperion over my shoulder.

"Could you stop using your power for five seconds?!" I yelled towards him

Viperion looked confused, but that expression didn't last long, his eyes opened widely.

"Darkclette watch out!" Viperion warned me

I looked back towards Warlord and his war hammer was almost in my face. There was nothing I could have done, Warlord connected his blow right to my face with all his might. I fell to the ground, my head was spinning and every other sound was muffled, replaced by a high pitched ring in my ears. I tried to get up, before I could even move an inch, Warlord pressed his foot against my wound. I gasped for air and Warlord moved his feet to kick me back to the ground. I grunted in pain.

"What? The dark lady is not so amused about fighting me now, isn't thou?" Warlord mocked me

Viperion looked at me and touched his wrist, but, all of the sudden, his bracelet started beeping…his miraculous. At that moment, a butterfly mask appeared in front of Warlord's face and he seemed to be listen to someone, then looked at Viperion when the mask disappeared.

"It looks like the emerald snake doesn't have more second chances hahaha" Warlord laughed and turned to me "Now, Dark Lady, I will seize your miraculous so you are not bothering me anymore" He said with cockiness and extended his hand to my bracelet

Everything slowed down, my head was still spinning and the pain of the blow started to kick in. I was trapped under his foot, dazed and disoriented. But then, Vhorak's voice echoed through my mind.

"Aren't you done holding back, Luna?" Vhorak's voice whispered in my mind "Stop holding back, don't let him take me!" He ordered in dark tone

At that moment I felt as is something started to wrap around my limbs, my body and somehow my mind. My hand moved on it own and morphed my hammer into a shapeless mass that flew against Warlord's face. The mass hardened mid air and threw Warlord away from top of me. I felt as that force wrapping my legs forced to stand up with one jump, like if I were some kind of martial artist.

I was looking at the ground, my breath shallow and uneven, and then, I lifted my gaze. Warlord's was staring at me too, with a cocky expression and pose. My blood started boil and my heart pounded with urgency. The humiliation, the anger, the rage were consuming me like never before, like if I had never been truly angry not like that… It felt like if this much anger, was not just mine.

Warlord stared to open his filthy mouth, but I was already charging towards him. He scuffed and waited to hit me with his war hammer. But, I moved my hand and used chaos energy, almost in liquid form and lunched it a him from a distance, that hardened and landed on his side. I got closer, I was on Warlord's reach, but I moved my hand on the opposite direction, guided by this wrapping force around it, now landing another blow with the energy. I had tunnel vision, there was nothing more in my mind that beating he hell out of Warlord.

"Good, don't hold back" Vhorak's furious voice encouraged me

I finally was arms reach of Warlord and started to attack relentlessly with my suit's claws. Warlord tried to swag his weapon, but I instinctively blocked with the energy. I started to concentrate energy in my claws, enhancing them. I was landing one blow after another, in his arms and ribcage, when I pierced his armor with my claws. I smiled with anger, like a shark smelling blood. I grabbed the breastplate and yanked it off of him. Warlord's eyes filled with fear, the fear of a prey meeting a predator. Then, I concentrated every last bit of chaos energy and launched it towards his chest. Warlord flew away and landed with a thud on a wall. Warlord grunted in pain as I slowly approached.

My mind was still reeling with rage. I approached Warlord and, before he recovered, I wrap my hand around his neck and pulled him up slightly.

"You think you can mock me?" I exploded with anger "Do you think you can not even acknowledge my presence and then humiliate me?"

Warlord, in a desperate attempt to escape my grasp, he swag his war hammer towards me again. In a swift, and almost instinctual movement, I grabbed it with one hand, stopping it for hitting me.

"I don't fucking think so…" I growled

I forcefully take away his war hammer and released his neck. I gripped the weapon with rage and started to swing it towards Warlord with all supernatural strength, his eyes were full of fear and surprise, he even lifted his hands to try to block some of the blow. But, at the last moment, that unnatural force that wrapped my whole body got lighter and I change directions, punching the floor. The floor trembled and cracked with the amount of force I used and then a loud crack was heard. The war hammer snapped in two.

From the pieces of the weapon, the akuma and a dark blue feather, the amok, came out. Suddenly, the flapping of the Dragon's wings, that I had been tuning out, dissipated and silence invaded the streets of Paris. Warlord detransformed into a normal military guy. But, my attention was drawn towards the akuma and the amok, I felt this tingle again and a sudden hunger, I licked my lips like I was staring into a delicious meal.

"Chaos energy?" Vhorak's voice whispered in my mind like a thought that I shouldn't have listened to

I was completely drawn to them, like a moth to light, like what happened on the obelisk but stronger.

"Lady Luna… Lift your hand" Vhorak ordered with a kinder tone than before

I lifted my hand and catch the akuma and the amok in my hands. The purple gem of my miraculous glowed in purple and I felt that hunger getting somehow sated, not entirely, but better. I opened my hand and both, the akuma and the amok, came out purified. Both flew away and in my hand a handful of chaos energy was left and it went directly to my miraculous.

I heard steps behind me and I turned around, there were Cat Noir, Ladybug and Viperion.

"It seems that you are not the only one who can purify them" I said with a hint of pride and sarcasm

Ladybug's eyes narrowed, but I grunted as the pain of the wound in my hip started to get worse. I applied pressure on the wound and Viperion came down to help me.

"Don't move to much" Viperion suggested calmly "Does it hurt more than before?" He asked worried

"Yeah… I ran out of adrenaline and that kick of the villain didn't do any good either…" I said trying to be maintain a lighthearted tone between my grunts of pain "Ladybug, can you do the miraculous ladybug? please?" I said to ladybug

Ladybug finally reacted and shook her head, she was clearly thinking about something and I interrupted.

"Oh, yeah, sorry" She apologized

Finally, she threw some dotted object to the air and magical ladybugs flew away repairing everything and healing my wound.

"Oh, much better" I sighted relief

Viperion back away slightly, knowing that I was okay know. And the beeping started again, but now not only from Viperion, but from Ladybug and Cat Noir too.

"You are about to transform back" I said

"Yes, M'lady, we need to go" Cat Noir warned

Ladybug was opening her mouth to say something, but she suddenly stopped herself. Cat Noir pointed his fist towards the middle from where we are all standing and I looked at him confused.

"It's a thing they do" Viperion explained

"Yeah, and since we did a great job and you are part of the team now, join us" Cat Noir said brightly

I smile at his upbeat, maybe to upbeat attitude, and point my fist towards the center too. Viperion did the same. Ladybug hesitated for a second but she finally she did the same.

"Now you say 'pound it'" Viperion whispered to me

"Pound it!" We all shout in unison

The beeping of all of their Miraculous started to get faster.

"We should go" Ladybug said

"I'll go too… I'm exhausted" I sighed

Ladybug nodded to me and then pointed her to another direction for Viperion to follow. Ladybug and Viperion both left. Cat Noir prepared himself to leave and looked at me.

"You did well D." Cat Noir said

"D.? That's the best you can come up with?" I mocked him

"Don't be picky…but I'll think a better one for the next time" He said "See ya!" He sang as he extended his staff to leave

I sighed and left the scene too.

I arrived at the Agreste mansion, back to my room. The mansion was in a deep slumber but there was something off, something had change from the last time… I felt something, that tingling sensation again, but weaker, faint, as the taste of spice in plain white rice. It came from downstairs. I shook my head, trying to ignore this sensation, I was too tired for this.

"Darkness falls" I whispered

I quickly detransform and Vhorak appeared in front of me in his little kwami form, but his smile was still uncanny. Then, just seconds after detransforming, a wave of exhaustion and hunger crushed my body and my knees buckled a little, making me fall to the bed.

"Are you okay, Lady Luna?" Vhorak whispered

"Yeah… yeah…I just need to have something to drink, eat… and good night sleep…" I murmured

"You should rest, dear Luna… you fought well today" Vhorak kindly praise, even if it was in his deep voice

He then proceeded to become a sphere of shadows and entered my body once again. The weigh on my shoulders came back, but it was getting easier to deal with. I got up with difficulty and took my time with every step towards the kitchen, closing my door on the way out my room.

I came down the stairs lazily and when, I was about to go to the kitchen, I saw that the light of Gabriel's atelier was on. I gazed towards a clock and realized it was past midnight, though I struggled a little with the hands of the clock. I thought that maybe Gabriel was pulling an all-nighter, I had myself certainly kept writing up until late when I was inspired, or maybe he forgot the light on. I shrugged and a couple of times knocked on the door, but no one answered. So, I opened the door and came in. I looked around and there was no one to be found.

"Maybe he is in the bathroom…" I guessed

Before leaving, I took a look at the blond woman's painting, I was still a little mesmerized by it and I felt even more drawn to it now, but I couldn't put my finger down in the why. I slowly walked back to the door and looked across the hall and found that light of the bathroom was off.

I was closing the door and about to turn off the light, when I hear a really subtle mechanical noise, that if the house weren't in complete silence, I may not have heard it. Then, out of the blue, I heard footsteps in the room. I raised an eyebrow, confused, but then I heard Gabriel's voice, clearly fuming, but still controlling his voice not to wake up anyone.

"Who is she?!" Gabriel hissed "She comes out of nowhere and defeats us like that!"

Then, another mechanical sound and another voice started talking.

"There is nothing in the spell book that resembles the miraculous she is wearing, sir" Nathalie talked

Suddenly all the tiredness and hunger I felt, disappeared as like if was never there. My eyes were wide open now as I listen. But, I didn't wanted to draw any conclusions, the miraculous were available public information after all…

"And Nooroo has proven themselves quite useless to determine which miraculous she is carrying" Gabriel accused

And then the high pitch voice that I heard before, talked.

"I'm sorry Master…but If she is wearing a Miraculous its not one of the normal ones, it could even be another artifact like the prodigious" Nooroo suggested "Or…it could be…"

"You are useless Nooroo" Gabriel interrupted him with rage

"But, sir, you have an advantage, she is new in this fight and it doesn't seem to be a temporal holder like the other… and she is sloppy" Nathalie explained calmly, trying to sooth Gabriel's anger

I was frozen in place, confused, shocked. My thoughts were in overdrive, trying to understand what was happening and figuring out how would they know all of this and if they were talking about me or not.

"This just got much more interesting…" Vhorak's voice echoed in my mind with a sharp tone

I could not believe it, they were talking about me, about my miraculous. "Were they working for Hawkmoth? was Hawkmoth the leader of an organization?" were some of the thoughts running wild in my mind.

"You are right Nathalie, she is unexperienced… strong but still green" Gabriel agreed "We will make a plan with her in mind"

"We will, sir" Nathalie confirmed

The started walking towards the door. I quickly and, as stealthy as possible, moved to the kitchen. I hid in the dark kitchen, spying them from the crack of the door, waiting for them to leave. Luckily, after scheming their evil plans, they went upstairs to their own rooms.

My heart was pounding violently and I took a deep breath to calm down, that only worked partially. I took a seat on the kitchen, without even turning the lights, calming myself down. Now that I was out of danger, I tried to think more clearly. I doubted my first thoughts and started to think that maybe… just maybe this was all a misunderstanding, that I was listening things out of context, that maybe they were talking about something else entirely. But… How did they appeared out of nowhere in that room? Why was Gabriel so angry? Were they talking about my miraculous?. I had more question than answers in my head and, before I could remember I was hungry, I returned to my room. Exhausted, I laid on my bed, still trying to figure out what I had listen to… but one thing I had for sure, I would have to look into this…
